(Request here! Honestly, I’m surprised it took me so long to use an ICP song for Turbo, something about him just screams Juggalo, probably the paper white skin or the innate violent impulsivity🔑, I dunno lol)

- Alright so, even unconscious Turbo is selfish, an absolute blanket hog, and you’d think with how small the guy is he wouldn’t take as much of bed space but he does, spreading his limbs out like he’s a fat cat who just ate a good portion of some cat kibble earlier.

- I think he’d be a snorer, but like, usually when he’s on his back and it isn’t obnoxious, no loud sleep apnea snoring here.

- Much like everything else, it takes a while for him to get used to sleeping with you whenever you guys can without necessities of working or doing some other things after hours.

- In my opinion I think the need for sleep for the game characters of Wreck-It Ralph is far less important seeing how after hours they display little to no sleep deprivation all throughout the movie even though it spans roughly 2 nights filled with action and 2 work days.

- So this may be a rare occurrence, but it’s certainly not impossible, considering with the existence of Tapper’s in which we see these game characters drinking, meaning they may have ways to both gain and lose energy.

- Despite this, Turbo I think would be less inclined to exercise a healthy sleeping routine, just having so much to do and wanting to have every moment awake to prove to him and others around him that he is worthy of the title of the beloved game protagonist of Mr. Litwak’s arcade.

- Those eye bags and more unhealthy disposition in comparison to the art on the side of his arcade cabinet says all that needs to be known.

- Which adds to his easily agitated demeanor, so, possibly, maybe, I dunno, getting him to finally fucking sleep after who knows how long makes him chill the fuck out for once.

- Afterwards, he doesn’t verbally thank you for it, typical, too stubborn to admit he was the wrong one in this situation but shows his thanks the next time you disregard your health, calling you stupid among other things while either metaphorically or literally dragging you away from what’s making you unhealthy.

- Inevitably, much like many of the aspects of your relationship he comes to like having sleeping sessions with you, having you beside him while he’s in one of his vulnerable states.

- He doesn’t like being seen as weak and it shows consciously and unconsciously, so having someone whose opinion and perspective of him matters to him seeing him like that displays something he probably never thought would ever do— To be truly trusting of someone beyond himself.

- To be with him alone is something he doesn’t expect from anyone, let alone you— A part of him knows he’s not exactly the best when it comes to another person’s emotions, whether intentional or not.

- So someone like you who shows genuine interest in and keeps showing that rocks him to the very core at times, a kind pang of emotion he doesn’t know how to comprehend just yet.

- I think he slowly comes to be truly comfortable with you sleeping with him, but I don’t see him cozying up to you easily, he’s just a naturally rigid guy.

- However I don’t think he’s a block of ice completely, he does have the capacity and does hold onto you whenever you’re in bed with him after some gentle coaxing.

- Talking him to sleep is a common thing during these moments, something about being softly spoken to lulling the racer to sleep eventually.

- He’s a crippling insomniac and no one can tell me otherwise, just look at him.

- This is a very interesting way you guys bond, it isn’t over the top or over-complicated, it’s you and him sharing a sweet moment.

based on tarot. i do not know these idols personally. energies are always changing. what i say is NOT straight fact. pls take it with a grain of salt!

their energy was crazy. i just casually started tearing up and getting weirdly sentimental while writing this, so.. definitely some strong emotion present here? also immediately thought of the song mentioned above. especially the “i used to think you were shy, but maybe you just had nothing on your mind. maybe you were thinking about yourself all the time.” line.

so, hyunjin's reputation among female idols doesn't look great persé. he's viewed as a guy who's likely to have flirted with anyone fitting his idea of attractive. a bit of a ladies' man, who for sure enjoys the ego-stroking that comes with female validation. he's great at these short but emotional flings, meaning in the moment he's great at deceiving and deluding people into him being serious about it. there is this huge perception of him just being kinda.. delusional and unrealistic, living in a dream world of his own and willingly wearing these rose-colored glasses. if hyunjin connects to you romantically, he's amazing at dragging you with him into that world. like dating (? or hooking up? energy is mostly physical with this perception of a shortlived emotional bond) with him can be a bit of a rollercoaster.. with an irresistible high, and the following disappointing low. definitely a certain addictiveness to it. he knows his powers and what he can do to people, how he can use them to his own advantage.

he's very good at appearing a certain way but being another. meaning he puts on this prince charming on a white horse act, but once you look beyond that, or you just get close enough to knowing his actual self, he's much more selfish and greedy for his own good, than you'd expect. many female idols have this view of him as someone who only enters connections in order to gain something for himself, mostly validation. he puts a lot of importance into superficial things, such as fame, popularity, reputation, image, money, power.. they think he struggles finding true emotional fulfilllment, doesn't really know what he sincerely needs and is disconnected to his inner voice. he therefore just goes on hopping from one person to another. pretty bad at committing to relationships. he's great at entertaining the idea of them, but doesn't live up to the idea in reality. he's very in or out, not always available. prone to ghosting people out of nowhere and not recognizing or not wanting to acknowledge the toxicity behind his actions.

he's not very self-aware in their eyes. he hates confronting or acknowledging certain realities and therefore runs away from them. like he just runs away from his problems essentially. doesn't take accountability for his actions. hyunjin is a bit like an immature and irresponsible child to them. he gets afraid to admit to his mistakes because he's scared to get hurt, or make himself appear weak or flawed. some of them think it's pathetic. (they're very harsh in their judgement for sure lol)

there are some female idols though, who view him as mysterious and intriguing, and very desirable too. they think he has a strong presence, and he has this aura to him that awakens your interest, makes you wonder who he truly is. i can sense he's probably someone who does most of the approaching (surprisingly straightforward and direct) but doesn't have many people actually approach him, since he doesn't have very accessible energy. there's a good portion of female idols just staring at him like 🫢😯 and whispering and gossiping. they look at him as this unapproachable guy full of mystery, someone they can't figure out.

so, male idols look at hyunjin in a lighter manner. opinions do seem to vary though.

he's someone who's also just kinda in and out in their eyes. like at one point, you'll be with him, enjoying his company and seeming like you became pretty close, in the next he'll just be gone and unreachable. he's someone unpredictable and moody to them, like you never really know what phase in life he'll be in. someone very sensitive and easily affected by external influences, who therefore naturally goes through many ups and downs in life. however, they think he doesn't really let people in when it comes to his internal world. he's good at the superficial connections, i can see him being a lot of fun at parties, but many male idols feel like they don't actually know him as well as they think.

however additionally, there is this perception of him being.. overly sensitive. like do not touch hyunjin when he's going through something. some male idols think he's way too easily stressed out about things, makes a big deal out of everything, constantly self-sabotages and creates himself problems when there's none. in their eyes, he's a bit of a pain in the ass in this way. like just unbearable. you won't get him to open up easily, but once he does, he'll probably puke all his concerns out in hours and overwhelm the hell out of the person he's with.

but i have to say, he has an immense amount of respect from his peers in a professional manner. many male idols think he's the stand-out member in stray kids. they think it's impressive how he's been able to pave himself a way and reputation of his own. a lot of approval and acknowledgement of his not only his abilities, but also his efforts career-wise. it's giving this role model among quite a few idols, especially rookies. i can tell there's this tendency for them to be in awe of group members who just stand out and have these main-character vibes among the rest. many of them would like to imitate hyunjin's career trajectory and are eager to reach a similar reputation professionally. he has this image of having fulfilled his dreams with his own efforts, probably because of them turning him into the main dancer of the group, rather than him being “born talented”. the professional applause for hyunjin is something that's for sure spread among the majority of male idols. his career is very commendable and praiseworthy in their eyes.

I have been trying to make this post for a long time now... But I kept pushing it off again and again, because I thought if I made it I would be ripped to pieces by Tumblr's wild beasts. Now that the Gaiman accusations appeared (and that older cases were dug up), I have to admit I had a selfish little sigh of relief because I thought I could finally make this post... But then I quickly realized upon seeing all the misinformation and "hot takes" people were sharing around that my post might potentially get support just because it is against Gaiman's work... And I don't want that either because it is just my opinion about an adaptation and a TV series, and it has nothing to do with the crimes talked about currently. This is why I won't tag it "Neil Gaiman".

So I will make this post, but be warned, I had this opinion this the release of season 1 so it's old news. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way here is my opinion:

I do not like the Good Omens series.

Shocking reveal, isn't it? I have never hidden that Good Omens is one of my favorite novels ever. Heck it was because of Good Omens that I decided to give a shot to Gaiman's works, because before I just rolled my eyes at stuff like Coraline and was a dedicated Pratchett fanboy. Good Omens the book was a big part of my life, and I still love dearly this book - I am still a bit pissed off that people forget it wasn't all Gaiman, it was Pratchett too.

But I am not surprised people think it so... because of the series. The show adaptation. Which I do not actually like. In fact, I think I posted a bit about this when season 1 was over, and then I just shut myself silent because the show-fans of GO were just annoying and irritating to me. And one of their irritating trait was to completely erase or forget about Pratchett's involvment, and only praise and talk and refer to Gaiman as the sole creator of Good Omens which is... deeply infuriating.

I did not even watch season 2. I don't know what it is about, I just know the plot of episode 1, and that's literaly it. I don't know who are the characters of season 2, what is its plot, what is its twists... Never had interest to watch it, never bothered. Why? Well two reasons.

Reason A: Season 1 did not really made me giggle with glee or smile with happiness or cheer with enthusiasm. The announcement did, the pre-release pictures and promos did, the first episodes did... But by the end of season 1 I was just... "Okay? That's it? I guess... it's nice. I prefer the book though." Yes, they tried to stay faithful to the novel, yes they paid heavy homage to Pratchett, yes I understand why so many people loved it... and yet I am amazed at how different the show is from the novel. Because despite being faithful in the portions it adapts... the show removes a LOT from the original novel. It has been explained as budget cuts, unfinished post-productions, time constraint, the limits of a TV show... some of the deleted scenes are bonus in the DVDs, some only exist in the official script, some never reached the script stage at all...

But here's the thing: by removing these parts, the creators of the show made a story that isn't at all the novel. And as a result, when chatting with fans of the show, I ended up realizing we had a "deaf dialogue" as we didn't speak of the same story or the same characters. Take for example the addition of an entire episode dedicated to the backstory of Crowley and Aziraphale. Not bad in idea, very enjoyable for a fan of the Good Omens world... but very detrimental in the scope of interpreting the story. Because this, and the big advertisement around these characters, and the big stars put in their role, and the TV guides and reviews description always starting with "An angel and a demon on earth"... It led everybody to think "Good Omens" is a story about Aziraphale and Crowley. That they are the main characters, the protagonists, and everybody is a side-character.

THEY'RE NOT! Yes they are one of the protagonists - ONE of the protagonists. Yes they appear on the covers, it doesn't mean it is a story about them. It is a story about Adam, and Adam is, for example, as much a protagonist of the story as Crowley and Aziraphale. Another noticeable change: the novel ends with Adam, because it opens with his birth (well, not immediately, but it is the main big event of the opening of the novel) and thus is concluded with him. In the show they end with Crowley and Aziraphale, and a bonus section AGAIN pulling the plot by the side of the duo. GO the novel is very Pratchettian in its structure and handling of the characters - it is a traditional "early Discworld" style of storytelling, almost like a traditional Russian novel, where you have a lot of characters leading separate but linked storylines, and it blurs the line between who is the "protagonist" and who is just a "secondary character" as there is no real central focus outside of the story itself, which is the narrative lead instead of a specific character.

Results? Now everybody thinks GO is primarily and firstly a romance between an angel and a demon. When in fact the original novel is, first and foremost, about a parody of the Apocalypse and about the displacement of an Antichrist - displacement of which Crowley and Aziraphale are the most active agents, but it doesn't make them the sole protagonists of the story. This is why the announcing of season 2 made me lose interest: I could have bought new Crowley and Aziraphale adventures... but without Newt, Anathema, Shadwell, the Horsepersons of the Apocalypse, Adam and the Them? They were placing their bets on new characters invented for the show that I had never heard about, so of course it did not interest me.

(I also STRONGLY defend the idea that the novel Crowley-Aziraphale relationship wasn't meant to be just and solely a romance, that it was a bit more ambiguous and open for interpretations, but that's a fight I have to lead another time)

I am still pissed off at how GO (show) fans treat Adam and the Them sections like garbage and as parts that could be entirely cut off - when they were crucial and the heart of the novel. It was a proof that the show had manage them very poorly.

Reason B: I did not trust Gaiman's claims.

Remember, this is before the whole business of sex crimes popped up. I am not saying this retrospectively. But when season 2 was announced and released, I did not trust Gaiman with his claims of "continuying Pratchett's legacy".

See, it was well-known, recorded and reported that yes, Pratchett and Gaiman had worked on a potential sequel to Good Omens before Pratchett's death. And when Gaiman explained that season 2 would be based off those left-over ideas and concepts for this sequel (the same way several of the added segments of season 1 were leftovers of this same unwritten novel) I was "Great!". But the way Gaiman shifted around when talking about this on Tumblr bothered me.

Originally he claimed season 2 would be based on the sequel novel. But then he claimed season 3 would be based on the unfinished sequel, with season 2 merely being a "bridge" to season 3. And then he added that however season 2 was not a "filler" but was "needed" to be able to reach and access season 3's story? Despite season 3 being supposedly based on the unmade DIRECT sequel to the Good Omens novel, an unmade sequel that several elements of were directly introduced in season 1? This made me very suspicious and distrustful. This is also why I never bothered watching season 2 - it always felt to me as if Gaiman was trying to sell his own ideas under the name of Pratchett, and since only he was in the know, we couldn't prove anything.

Now to be fair, Gaiman WAS fair in handling Pratchett's moments in season 1. For example, while yes he had some of the Pratchett-written moments cut (like some of the Them's scenes), he also had several of his own sections cut (for example it is known that the Four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse scenes were mainly written by Gaiman - and I was really pissed off at how they removed basically half of their scenes because they are one of my favorite parts of the novel). But you can unfortunately feel how Pratchett wasn't on board because of precisely how his main part in the novel (Adam and the Them) ended up underwhelming and ignored by everybody... Which leads me to

Little C: This one is basically a bonus thought I am throwing here because I don't know how else to introduce it. The Good Omens show (at least season 1, again I didn't watch season 2) was so sanitized... A lot of the dark humor was cut out of the show, and it felt so hypocritical and such a classic "Amazon sanitizing" job. For example Famine's scene with the dieting model was cut off to "not offend people" and "not be triggering". Despite it being a very much needed commentary and thing to point out about human evil? And the line about the "faggots" was cut-off again to not be "offensive"... Despite it being a very clever pun on UK English versus USA English and the USA having proven VERY recently that they are NOT actually a gay-friendly nation? They gave flavor and spice and a much needed dose of the "anger under the humor" typical of Pratchett's work, and removing these little bits here and there made the show feel a bit... sugary sweet? A bit sanitized.

When tboredman said he was a bit wary about the coming of the Good Omens show because of how he perceived "red flags" with the trailers and promos, I was quite puzzled... Unfortunately now I can see it was a literal omen. By the way, if you want a very cool, very nice, very inventive webcomic that pays homage and takes inspiration from Good Omens while being its own hilarious yet dark Apocalypse parody... I suggest you check Boredman's Apocalyptic Horseplay. It is really cool! It is on Webtoon or on this very Tumblr (check @tboredman )

So I read some traits such as unkempt appearance as leaning more towards non-threatening look, decisiveness as fake-it-til-you-make-it display of confidence and feeling inadequate as something she keeps very close to her chest. Some negative traits that are not in the list are a tendency towards well-meaning manipulation, and using humor to deflect even when the situation calls for sincerity.

Propaganda under the cut!

He's the villain in everyone else's route, and even in his own he's STILL kind of a dick. Like, everything bad he did before the game begins happens exactly the same, and it's only when he begins that he gets better (as in he regrets his actions and tries to fix it (it being a plague. He caused a plague because he wanted more power. (Spoilers: the plague killed the MC))). All the other romanceable characters still hate him tho so that's good. The one thing he's got going for him is that in one ending, he stepped down from being the count (idk about the other)

He literally caused a plague that kills thousands of people including THE PLAYER 😭 LIKE HE LITERALLY KILLS YOU DAWG

He is simply the worst. I'm pretty sure he purposefully infected his kingdom with the plague. He made a deal with the devil maybe. Gonna be real with you I haven't finished his storyline.

imagine a guy who is both incredibly pathetic and willing to screw over absolutely everyone for fun. lots of fun as a character, absolute dogwater as a partner

He has directly tortured or somehow harmed all the other romancable characters and every other route tries to kill the mc to take over their body, is also responsible for a plague that killed a large portion of his kingdom and *spoiler* killed the MC

I'll admit I haven't played his route but that's cause he's such a pathetic icky man that I don't think I actually can. And I pride myself in completing every route. I know people like their pathetic meow meows but I want to hit him with a brick

He acts as a manchild who needs someone to guide him through life and show him the difference between right and wrong when I'm pretty sure he's in his forties or fifties. He also abuses his power to do horrible things to people he's not in a romantic relationship with, which should tell you a lot about him.

Dude, he SUCKS. He's the villain in every other route. He's a horrible husband, he forced Muriel to fight for his entertainment, he makes deals that he can't pay for. He threatens and pouts and is obsessed with people loving him. I've been with the Arcana since the very beginning and he wasn't meant to be a romance option, but the writers basically went with it because there was such a demand. So embarrassing to see Lucio fans being like Lucio did nothing wrong ever. Falling all over themselves to blame his mom or Nadia or Asra or anyone else for Lucio's selfishness and shitty behavior. It was peak uwu he's A BABY fan dementia that excuses all his shitty actions because nothing was his fault. The only sane Lucio fans are the ones that are like "he sucks so much <3 I can make him worse."

He's literally described by the devs as flaming trash. He is literally only nice in his route and the main antagonist (or at the very least a jerk) in every other route. he was a very bad husband to ex-wife. he is literally - and with 0 exaggeration- a plague upon the country he ruled. he's also a grown man who calls his fuck ups "oopsies" and honestly, i love him but that gives me the ick.

Cullen Rutherford

stupid racist cop creep whose fans cry about how hes "changed" and "you can't judge him he was addicted to magic drugs" nah he still chose to be a racist cop and abuse his power over innocent people and i hate him. the writers making him romanceable in da:i after how blatantly horrible he was in da:o and da:2 is baffling but i guess they had to appeal to the part of their audience who watch those "mafia boyfriend" videos on tiktok or whatever

He's creepy in origins, though still 100% willing to kill the female mage pc he's crushing on, as well as all the other mages trapped in the circle with him. He's the second-in-command in an even worse circle in 2, listening to and defending the increasingly obviously insane meredith until literally the end. He's one of the people still pushing for the circle system by inquisition, and yes he's going through withdrawals and working through the traumas of previous games. And to be brutally honest his was the first romance i took and while i don't remember much from it, its not worth all the girls going absolutely nuts over knockoff terrible alistair.

He's basically a cop who thinks being born a certain way can revoke personhood and by Inquisition still thinks mages are monsters to be controlled, not people. He gets a fairy tale cutesy romance that focuses on his personal struggles with addiction while showing absolutely no regard to the atrocities he committed and still thinks were justified. He can be romanced BY A MAGE and his actions and beliefs are just glossed over. He believes mages are 'not people like you (Hawke) and me', but if the Warden was a female mage he canonically had a crush on her and would deliberately hang around her despite the fact that he was her *jailer*. If that Warden romanced Leliana, there is war table dialogue in which he pesters Leliana for news of his 'former' crush despite her repeated statement that she doesn't want to talk to him about her. All this shitty behavior and lack of introspection gets swept under the rug by the game, not even giving the PC the chance to really challenge his beliefs. Like damn even Fenris could apologize when he lashed out due to past trauma with mages, and if anyone has a reason to hate mages it's Fenris. If you want an ex Templar hottie Alistair is RIGHT THERE. Tbh I know Cullen is a popular romance and I'm not here to tell anyone what they can or can't do or like in a video game, I'm just saying I think he is deeply undateable

Spends the first two games as an antagonist, fervently devoted to the cause of subjugating mages, then a bunch of "character development" happens off screen and the games treat him like he's completely reformed. However he's actions make it clear he still sees mages as dangerous and lesser. Not to mention if you romance him with an elf he doesn't pay your culture more than lip service respect like most of the devout characters 

He was a total villain in the first two games who was violently prejudiced against mages and uses one single bad experience as an excuse for it (a bad experience that is pretty much exactly what he in his job subjected graduating apprentices to, mind you, but this is never brought up). Now he says he's changed, but his words and actions say otherwise. He still distrusts mages, sympathises with the rebel Templars trying to kill them, and he never owns up to the terrible stuff he did and helped others do in the past two games. He totally knew what Meredith was doing and says he doesn't, and he still tries to defend her intentions. And you have no option to call him out on it. If you romance him as a mage, he angsts about how he might have seen you as subhuman in the past but NOW you're one of the good ones, and when you ask him if he'll kill you if you get possessed, he dodges the question. And the PC is written as being almost sad that she's a mage? Like 'can you love me despite what I am??' Also if Leliana romanced a female mage PC in the first game who is still alive, he asks her creepy questions about their relationship. Fitting considering his original purpose was to be creepy to the female mage Warden. 

I hate him and want to cause chaos. Plus his VA is an asshole.

I completely understand and even support what he's trying to accomplish. Solomon wants humans to be viewed as equals because yes, we aren't the weaklings that demons and angels may think we are. We are strong, resilient, tenacious, and special in our own ways. We can be just as cruel and devious as demons, but also just as genuinely kind and compassionate as angels. We all possess those qualities.

From a personal standpoint, though... As disgustingly selfish as this is, why would I as an individual ever choose to turn my back against the demons who have pretty much become my family who I deeply love and cherish just to instigate or support a war where I would be siding with humanity as a whole? Because I'm a human? No thanks, I'll pass.

!! Potential Spoilers Ahead !!

I know in this specific timeline, the brothers aren't close with us like they are in the OG game. But that doesn't change my feelings for them nor all of the events and shenanigans we've been through with them.

Also, maybe Solomon is forgetting or simply ignorant to these very important facts :

How many times did MC risk their life for the brothers?

MC gave a portion of their lifeforce to Beel in the Reaper's Cave. MC (was given the choice to) stab themselves in order to spare Lucifer's life. MC also forgave Belphie for legit killing them/a version of themselves. Just to name a few.

MC also supported all of the brothers so many times, and they all supported, defended, and protected MC in return.

Sure, that was all in the "present" timeline. But it still happened as far as I'm concerned.

And let's not forget the fact that Lucifer and his brother's lowkey threatened to dismember Solomon if he doesn't bring MC back safe and sound. So again... Why would I turn my back on their past versions just because demons or angels as a whole may not view humans as "equal"?

To be perfectly fair, some humans are pretty despicable. I've had more bad experiences than not with humans, some of which who were supposed to love and protect me yet did the complete opposite. I still continue to see the bad in some humans just through their words and actions (or lack thereof). While that may not be all of humanity's fault, it still has left me with deep scars and a long lasting negative/biased opinion on humans, society, and humanity.

And as far as humans being viewed as equal... I think it would be much more impactful and significant for individual humans to directly prove to demons and angels just how worthy of recognition they truly are. Solomon and MC can both do that together instead of instigating an all out war.

Just look at how much MC accomplished in OG Obey Me! Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmo, Beel, Belphie, Barbatos, Diavolo, Solomon, and Simeon are all "dateable".

Why would a demon or an angel want to romance a human if they didn't view that human as an equal? They all even say how special MC is. That's a perfect opportunity for MC to dangle the fact that they are indeed human in front of the boys, yet they still have feelings for MC regardless. In other words : "admit humans are just as capable as demons and angels, or call yourself a hypocrite right here and now".

Not only that, but their current actions could affect the present, right? Then why would we even entertain the idea of going to war with them? How would that affect the present and MC's relationships with the brothers, Diavolo, Barbatos, and Simeon?

So yeah... You have my deepest apologies, Solomon, but you are completely alone on this one. I could never bring myself to turn my back on the brothers, even if they all wanted me dead.

And honestly, I think the game is also hinting that MC won't go along with Solomon's plan or will at least try to find an alternative solution, considering we were given the choice to hand the grimoire over to Lucifer instead of using it on him (even though he was legit threatening us moments beforehand)

We'll have to wait to see what happens next, but as it stands right now... I applaud Solomon's drive and desire for humanity to stand next to demons and angels rather than remain beneath them... But I'm definitely not on board with what he's asking of us.

He would have a better chance at asking me to side with him directly instead of humanity as a whole, since I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Solomon. But still, you can count me out, my eccentric and misinformed teacher ~

He is a Crow and I have not forgotten what they did to Zevran soooo he's probably just glad to be out of there during the events of Veilguard, honestly.

Obviously, he ends up with Emmrich (who is the sole reason I was dragged kicking and screaming back into any sort of fandom participation), who I think would be a very steadying influence on him, as I don't really imagine he's had a lot of unconditional love or care in his life so far.

Saris is someone who believes strongly in his convictions and is willing to stand up for them which can come across as very direct at times. He also rarely had funds growing up, so suddenly having an influx of gold meant he spent it readily, generally on other people rather than himself. He has poor impulse control, but we're working on that, and I think by the end of Veilguard he was a little calmer and would take a moment to think before jumping feet first into situations.

Frankly I haven't done much world building for it, since I have other AUs who are utter attention whores and life just LOVES to make me unable to draw for some stupid reason or another. But I do have some simple concepts I would love to share! If you feel like you can bare my aimless rambling, feel free to read the rest under the cut.

First off, setting. Generally speaking, Neo Chaos Sonic's timeline takes place after the events of Season 2's finale and the early portion of season 3's episode one.

But instead of Building Alpha Grim Sonic after a lot of dilly dallying on Nine's part, he decides to fight fire with fire. (And maybe he's a little scared of being alone, although he would never admit it.)

So he rebuilds Chaos Sonic instead. And to insure that he'll be able to beat Sonic, Nine decided to give him untethered access to the Paradox Prism.

This of course leads to Chaos Sonic deeming his normal build being to... Easy to deal with. And he is allowed a modicum of freewill by Nine. So who is he if he does not ascend to godhood to ensure the plan's execution? It's gonna be a temporary upgrade. And Nine did give him full access to the Paradox Prism.

Leading to this beautiful outcome!

It's a MAJOR upgrade. And it comes with a hip skirt! And who is she to go against a hip skirt?

After choosing a new form of befitting of his newly born Goddess status, NCS decides to make the Grim their perfect little paradise. Their powers are simple, as she is all powerful but not all knowing or anything.

NCS can change their appearance however she sees fit. Although due to his vanity, he mostly stays hedgehog robot shaped. And generally before war is brought to her doorstep, she just stands about as tall as NMS would. So they definitely Tower over Sonic and Nine easily. They also can pool liquid metal off of them and when the liquid metal touches the ground, they become Grim Sonic Troopers. All of which seem to reflect different small aspects of her personality. Also she has glitter beams and shit. He's a magical girl, they gotta have their glitter attacks.

After a while of their new arrangement, NCS stops referring to Nine as either "Best bud" or "Sir". And starts calling him Martyr or Prophet. Treating Nine as a prized possession and less like a friend or even someone they wish to protect and keep happy.

Nine isn't initially concerned about this though. Since he's certain that they are still loyal to him. Which is true, he is. But ultimately that loyalty does not outweigh her natural selfishness.

I believe that inevitably, there will come to pass a point where Neo Chaos Sonic decides to "sacrifice" Nine to herself. If only to make Sonic run a fool's errand. If you know ANYTHING about the ending of KH3 and the whole "Save the 7" segment with Riku? Like that. (For those who don't know, imagine Nine floating above an altar of some sort with his body partially transparent blue.)

I don't really know if Sonic and Co from prime would succeed, since I really just designed Neo Chaos Sonic for the sake of designing him. But I would say that in order to take down Neo, Sonic would need to brace the abyss™️ to find Shadow's missing Chaos Emerald. Since I'm a wedger a bet that Shadow would be logically able to use Chaos Control in the prism that Neo Chaos is using to power themselves. Buuut in order to do that, Shadow would have to get close enough.

There is the possiblity that allowing Sonic to shatter himself would fix everything too. But ultimately I have no clue cuz I just haven't thought far yet.

Overall, the AU is very shallow at the moment. And seeing as I have other far more complex AUs I'm working on, it might be this way for a while. So, I'm sorry about that! But I did enjoy rambling a bit, albeit a bit aimlessly.

I just really love this design and I really love how pretty they came out! Neo Chaos Sonic is a treat of a concept to me, since I adore Neo Metal Sonic. Favorite flavor of Mets to be honest. And I figured a Neo form for Chaos Sonic would do them good!

So this is a very broad interpretation of “lie,” BUT I want to turn this first drabble into a series covering the Bricker situation.

I’m still fairly undecided about Cora’s emotions in all this. I do think upon rewatches that she did eventually feel guilty over the whole thing. Even when they make up, when Cora comes into his dressing room, she says something along the lines of leading someone on. I think she knew she was flirting; but I do think she was doing it out of loneliness and, frankly, boredom! Give the lady something to think about!

With all of this said, I’m not married to this interpretation of her motives and emotions regarding this scene. But I hope you can enjoy it anyway! Thank you so much for the request!

She could feel Baxter’s fingers section off her hair into threes, weaving the sections easily into a braid, and Cora relaxed her shoulders.

It was late, and the day had been long after a rather sleepless night before. But she felt satisfied. True, she didn’t feel happy, at least not quite, but this feeling was nearer to it than she had been eighteen hours before. Satisfied.

Being busy had distracted her from her self-pitying and irritation at her husband. And it felt nice to have been busy in a way she hadn’t been in years. It was not the smiling, polite sort of busy that charity meetings and house parties called for. It was not the sort of busy that challenged only the already most-exercised portions of her mind: social events and who had been invited, a running list of various lords, ladies, sons, and daughters, a multitude of ways to discuss the weather so that it never seemed too dull. Instead this busy felt like a jaunt to somewhere new, yet familiar.

It felt … fun.

Someone was at Downton who enjoyed talking to her. Actually talking. Someone was at Downton who sought her out, and her alone. She had so few friends outside of Robert’s circle, and she hadn’t minded before; she hardly minded now. But to have her own friend to talk with, to think things with? It was different than before and she enjoyed it. True, she had to wade through the mires of flirtation and charm to find the meat of a subject; and true, twice today she had to remind Mr Bricker about the task at hand—the della Francesca—for it had to be finished eventually. And they weren’t certain when he’d be able to return. But it had been a good day, especially after a disappointing night.

She felt as Baxter’s fingers began to tie the tiny bow at the end of her braid, and Cora looked up and into the mirror. The light from the lamp caught at the curve of her cheekbone, her hair, her eyes, and for one fleeting, vain moment, Cora saw a glimpse of the girl she’d once been. The pretty girl she’d once been.

Perhaps still was?

Mr Bricker made her think so. Oh, she knew it was stupid and selfish, but truthfully she had rather enjoyed the flirting. She’d only admit that in this one moment, and even then it was only just a little. But it really was only a bit of harmless, coquettish charm. And, she reasoned, if it was the trade-off for having conversations that didn’t bore her endlessly, then it was fine. It wouldn’t last forever; eventually the man would run out of details to go over, and she was going to appreciate the conversations while they lasted.

And Robert could just come to terms with that.

Robert. Oh, his jealous fits irritated her. His own specific type of egotism irritated her. And what was more, her missing him now irritated her. For she did.

Baxter tugged gently at her hair, and Cora watched her own reflection as her maid finished. Hmm. Baxter had confessed something horrible to her, but Cora found that if she were asked to do the same —to tell Baxter of the conceited and immodest thoughts she just turned over in her mind— she wasn’t sure she could. It was wrong.

“Will that be all, my lady?”

Cora nodded. “Yes,” she said, noting Baxter’s quiet voice. “Thank you.”

She stood from her chair as Baxter carefully gathered her dinner gown from the bed where it lay. Cora snuck another look at her; her eyes had a far-away look. Preoccupied, Cora thought, and sighed. She understood all too well.

“And it may be best to wake me earlier than usual,” Cora reminded her gently. She opened her bedside drawer and retrieved her small watch case. “With Mr Bricker here and His Lordship due back around ten, I’d like to have a bit of a head start.”

“Of course. Perhaps I can bring your tray at seven?”

“Yes. Seven.” Cora smiled at her. “Good night, Baxter.”

Baxter smiled briefly back at her, and Cora turned and sat against her bed as the door closed behind her. She found the little key at the back of the watch and turned it, winding the music charm that would wake her. And then, she carefully wound the top wheel of the little clock, watching as the tiny gold alarm hand rotated around the small upper dial of the watch face until it reached almost seven. When she had nearly finished, she heard her door open again.

“Have you forgotten something?” she asked Baxter behind her; but to her surprise, it was not Baxter who answered.

“It's not your maid.”

Cora stopped breathing.

She looked behind her, turning and standing, and confirmed who her mind told her it was.

Oh, no.

“I waited ‘til she'd gone.”

No.

“You must leave,” she felt herself immediately say. She put her watch down and, not wanting him to round the corner towards her, moved away from her bed. “Mr Bricker, you must leave,” she said again, not really knowing what else to say. He couldn’t be here. What was he doing?

“I did take care to ensure no one’s seen me—“ he was saying, and with a hot flush of delayed realization, Cora knew what he was doing here. And it was not to speak with her. Oh, and it wasn’t anger or fear she felt; it was regret. “—and no one will know I’ve been here.”

“No—“ she tried to say, but he spoke over her.

“But I knew I must. I knew I had to come to you tonight.”

Cora ignored that, and she leveled her voice. “Mr Bricker, I've asked you twice now. Will you please go?

“You said yourself - who knows when I'll be back?”

“Mr Bricker -“

“Don't pretend, Cora. You know something's happened between us. You know things have changed now. I feel it, and I know you do.”

Changed?

The flirting. The harmless flirting she’d only just confessed to enjoy.

Oh, she’d done this, hadn’t she? She’d laughed too much, spoken too much, smiled too much. Cora sighed, closed her eyes for a moment, and collected herself. “I’m not sure what it is you feel, but—“

“��When did someone last cherish you?” She looked at him, and knowing better, she listened. “When did someone even listen to you?”

Cora’s breath that had returned moments ago stiffened in her chest once more. He was being mean. She pushed the thoughts of last night away.

“I've seen you with your family, ignored and passed over.”

He was being mean. He was not wrong, she conceded, but she knew what he was doing. She shook her head. “None of this is any—“

“I'm glad you're still awake—”

Oh, no. She heard his voice before she saw him. She heard his voice as the door swung open easily, the delight in Robert’s tone. It felt like a sudden drop, falling fifty feet into nothing. And then, that same light in which she’d admired herself only moments before washed over her husband’s features, at the shock in them, and Cora felt heavy. She dropped her head.

“The dinner was over early. It seemed easier to come back.” And then there was anger. “I'm sorry if it's a disappointment.”

“It isn't,” she answered immediately, looking at Robert. It was the truth. She prayed he could see that it was the truth. And then what strength that remained in her hurt as it left her body. “Mr Bricker was just …leaving.”

“I'm not here at Lady Grantham's invitation,” Mr Bricker tried, but Robert boomed over him.

“Then will you please leave at mine?”

She watched, flooded with a sick exhaustion, as Mr Bricker turned away from her completely and made his way towards the door. She watched, and just as she knew he would, Robert changed. She knew Robert too well. She knew the anger he’d reached was really an enormous precipice, and he’d gone over the edge of it.

He grew two inches taller. His shoulders broadened under his red dress mess coat. He looked as if he could, and maybe would, kill the smaller man before him.

“Robert, let him go,” Cora said. She just wanted it done. She just wanted Mr Bricker out of her room. She just wanted Robert to fuss and be upset and have it over and done with. Let him leave. Let us not drag this out any further, please.

“You can't be surprised.” Oh, no. Oh, no no no. What was Mr Bricker doing? “When you chose to ignore a woman like Cora—“ he looked back at her, they both looked at her, and Cora felt her mouth fall open. Oh, no. Oh God. No. “—you must have known not every man would be as blind as you.”

The next moments moved slower, in a horrible dreamlike way, Cora still unable to breathe, Cora foreseeing the next seconds, but unable to control them.

She watched her tall, broad husband twist back, twist and wind himself as she’d done with the watch just minutes before; and then, with a hard, hurt grimace, she watched as he striked the slender man’s face so forcefully that he fell onto their bed and shook it wildly.

“Stop it!” She shouted. Robert was going to hurt him. He was going to hurt him badly.

Cora tried to touch Robert’s shoulder, to try to pull him from the fury he was blinded by, but he only pulled Mr Bricker from the bed where they rolled onto the floor.

“Stop it!” She shouted again as they crashed into the small side table where a vase fell, cracking open.

“Stop it!” They rolled onto the rug, both men struggling for superiority; but as she knew he would, Robert found the upper hand. He pinned Mr Bricker to the floor, his heavier weight keeping him in place.

“Stop!” She yelled out when his fist cranked backwards. There’d be blood and a broken nose and rumors and gossip and too many consequences over something she just wanted to go away!

And then— “Mama?” And a knock at their door.

Cora froze. She sensed Robert still too, and they looked to the sound of their daughter’s voice.

“Mama? Papa? Is everything all right in there?”

Oh, what must she have heard?

Cora hurried to the door, and noticing her hand shake as she took the knob, she drew in a slow, deep breath to steady her voice, her heart, and she opened it. Just slightly. Just enough for Edith to see her, and for her to try her best to smile at Edith.

Edith was blanched. “I'm so sorry, darling,” Cora cooed. Edith’s face was etched with worry, and it wasn’t moving. So Cora spoke on. “Your father and I were just playing a … stupid game, and we knocked over a lamp.”

“Oh,” Edith hadn’t believed her, and of course not. The lie was terrible, and Cora was a terrible liar. “If you're sure,” Edith prodded, and Cora loved her for it.

“I'm sure, poppet,” Cora smiled, and then heard her own words. She’d never called Edith ‘poppet’ before in her life. “Good night. Sleep tight,” she smiled bigger to assure Edith, who nodded and left. And then, closing the door, Cora turned around and fought the urge to glare at them both. Both of these men. Stupid, childish fistfight. Like schoolboys.

“I think that is my exit too,” Mr Bricker huffed, hoisting himself from the floor.

But Cora snapped at him. “Wait.” Edith could not see him leave her room.

She spun and opened her door again, and looking out, saw it was clear. Then, her stomach turning at the thought of looking him in the eye, she angled herself into the door so that he could slip out quietly into the hallway, not speaking to her ever again.

Cora breathed for a second longer when she heard the outer door close. And then, slowly—and as quietly as she could—she closed the inner door. It was another moment yet before she turned back into the room where her husband, her Robert, leaned himself against the chair. His chair.

His arms supported him at the armrests. His head hung heavily at his shoulders. His breathing was deep, and angry.

And … and an emotion Cora saw, but did not want to acknowledge, seemed to seep from his every pore.

Ignore it, she told herself. Make it smaller, she convinced herself. And then, a lie: He knows it wasn’t my fault. She sighed.

“Golly, what a night.”

Robert lifted his head, not looking at her at all. The emotion filled the room.

“I'll sleep in my dressing room,” he pushed out, but she found she couldn’t follow him with her eyes as he left.

And when she heard his door close, she sunk her face into her hands and refused to cry.
