#i actually have a tier list i made the other day lol

Hey! That's my tier list!! I made it a couple of days ago in a moment of intense hyperfixation bc I was so fascinated analysing the designs of the suits and why some work for me and some don't ajsjdkf

Here's my own ranking! I stuck with the base tiers so as to not make it too complicated for myself

Now that i've watched every one piece movie that isn't a retelling of an anime arc or straw hat chase i'm gonna go ahead and indulge in the very human tendency of ranking them in order from best to worst (SPOILERS!!!!):

One Piece: Strong World. Maybe it's because this was the first movie i watched and my first experience with one piece in animation but strong world has remained my favorite since day one (though the second place is very very close i must say). The straw hats are all great and have their little moment to shine the plot is solid and they do a great job with nami, out of the four straw hats with a movie more focused on them she's by far the one that gets the best treatment. Strong world is in the perfect position of being a pre time skip movie, so it's not dragged down by the expanding cast of post time skip, but also since it was the tenth anniversary movie they put in more effort than with the previous movies and it shows. Also sanjis cowboy outfit instantly makes it top tier.

One Piece: Film Gold. I'm... kind of obsessed with this movie?? Seeing the straw hats in a heist really scratched an itch i didn't know i had but my god does it feel good. The designs really excelled here the crew looks gorgeous throughout the entire movie and tesoro's island is so interesting and fits very well in the one piece world. Tesoro is also my favorite villain of any movie, i've seen people say he's the perfect blend between crocodile and doffy and that's so true lmao. Loved having zoro as the damsell in distress, inject that shit straight into my veins i love it when the strong character is the one in need of rescue. Everyone was very cool during the heist but i remember really enjoying franky and luffy's dynamic cause lbr we're kinda starved of it in the manga so it was nice to see them interact so much here. Overall amazing movie and the only one i've rewatched out of all of them.

Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island. This movie has become a cult classic amongst the fandom and with good reason. It breaks away from the loud spectacle of the other movies and is quieter and more unsettling and so far the only example of actual psychological horror in the lore. I've talked about this before but that final scene with the straw hats cheering luffy on even while they're being consumed by the baron and luffy struggling to the brink of death to save them changed me... I love seeing this family love each other so much!!

Clockwork Island Adventure. I know, I know what's the second movie doing so high up... but it was just so good!! It's very short but that's just a benefit to the plot and i love the gimmick of each straw hat being captured one by one till it's just luffy remaining and the one who has to free them (can you tell i love the movies where the straw hats are kidnapped and the others have to rescue them?? that's my drug). Sanji's fight in this movie kicks ass too, the animation is gorgeous.

One Piece: Film Red. This might seem like a sin, to have this movie so far down the list cause i've seen its pretty unanimously tied up with baron omatsuri as the best movie but to be honest i feel like that's just recency bias. The movie is still a spectacle and the songs slap and yes one of them was in the top 5 of my spotify wrapped this year lol. Uta is a good antagonist but i was never that hooked by her shared past with shanks and luffy, mainly because it's so aggressively impossible for it to be canon, it almost broke my suspension of disbelief. Zosan sleeping side by side was pleasing to my monkey brain and it almost made up for including st charlos in the movie seriously what the fuck was he doing there-

One piece: Stampede. The start of this movie is amazing cause they come up with the perfect competition to have all of these pirate crews on the same place but it quickly devolves into a "how many characters can we fit in" contest and the plot quickly turns into "lets all beat up the villain", which is fine! I did like seeing so many characters, at one point half way through the movie crocodile just appears out of nowhere lmao but hey i'm not complaining i love crocodile. Usopp is the straw hat who's focused on the most in the movie and i feel conflicted with what they did with him cause it just felt like they were making him go through his water 7 arc all over again by having his inferiority complex flaring up. And usopps arc was amazing in water 7 but reviving it for this movie felt a bit weird and repetitive. Despite this though i was very happy seeing him getting the focus, usopp is a painfully underrated character so having him on the spotlight is always welcome.

Dead End Adventure. This movie is a lot of fun. There's a bar fight, a secret pirate race and sanji being his sneaky self and helping out luffy during the final fight. Whats not to love?

One Piece: Film Z. Much like Stampede, i really enjoyed the start of this movie cause the monster trio get to briefly fight the big baddie together, but the plot kinda loses some steam for me after that. Also they tried to make the admirals sympathetic cause the villain is a retired admiral who was once their mentor but i really really really dont care about the marines at all so that was a bit awkward. The straw hats look stunning in this movie, i love that in the movies they give them a million different outfits and the ones from this one absolutely slayed.

Choppers Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals. Another fun movie where all the straw hats get a moment be cool. There's a kid on this island who i found completely insufferable but i can forgive this movie cause this is also where zosan have that famous scene where they praise the other to their defeated oponent, which made my monkey brain happy.

One Piece: The Movie. This movie's biggest misstep is that sanji isn't in it, but even with this critical flaw it was still quite enjoyable. Zoro is very funny on his own but add luffy into the mix and their dynamic was hilarious. Usopp as always was great. The villain is small potatoes tbh but not really the important part of the movie, which focuses more on the relationship between the kid they meet and his gramps. The final message was surprisingly very sweet. Also sanji appears briefly in the end credits to appease me.

Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle. This movie is a-okay. The villains are a complete joke and it takes the crew less than five minutes to deal with them. The crew dynamics carry all of my enjoyment with this one.

The Cursed Holy Sword. Yeah... this movie commited the unforgivable sin of having zoro as the main focus and yet managing to do absolutely nothing interesting with him. Even if they did shamelessly create kuina 2.0 with saga, they could've delved into how zoro would react when two different duties (his promise to saga and his position as the crew swordsman) clash against each other... but instead we see no conflict with zoro, even though we all know this situation would be conflicting for him. They just make him scowl throughout the whole runtime and thats just not who Zoro is... Luffy and usopp are a lot of fun though.

Top 5 ships is really hard because I am the type of person who literally ships everything so I can’t choose a favorite in a tier list…but if I were to try it would be this.

1-5 Best to Less but no less than the best

1. Caine x Pomni. It was the very first ship I felt with the show and what really dragged me down into hell. All thanks to mushy of course lol, without her artwork I wouldn’t even consider shipping them until much later

2. Jax x Ragatha. It just made sense, they have the most chemistry it seems, besides him and gangle. But when I first got into it, I didn’t even see gangle as something I could ship with, I just found her cute and relatable lol

3. Ragatha x Pomni. The first episode I loved their friendship, and the fact that pomni didn’t immediately save her but went back. Ragatha understood her anxiety and fear and her hesitation, and didn’t hold it against her. She actually became more protective it seems of her, ESPECIALLY in the second episode. Pomni is like the guy who can’t take a hint that the girl is crushing on him LOL

4. Jax x Pomni. Size difference, toxic relationship, bullying, it’s pretty much a package deal LOL

5. Jax x gangle. Again, bullying, toxic relationship, literally hurts her for his own entertainment and I love it. She’s so submissive and agreeable she can’t be mad at him. Until maybe one day she snaps, gasp

And a random ship from a different fandom or the same fandom? A random ship would be sonadow, if you know you know. A ship here that seems super weird but I find hot? Zooble x Jax. They both hate each others guts but also are pretty much best friends with how they talk to each other. I feel like they have had the most history together, and that jay has tried wearing them down only to get it blown back in his face.

:D I'm so glad you like clingy, codependent bf Azul!!!! He's so terrifying. I'm relieved those unsettling feelings could be felt because I felt so when typing it. I had actually just finished watching a true crime series when I was writing it. It frightened me to such a degree that I had to put that anxiety into writing and thus clingy, codependent bf Azul was born. <3

Thank you so much for enjoying the trio in my writings!!! I never gave them much thought in the very beginning. They've grown on me. Like pesky barnacles on a whale's back, they are forever stuck. I wouldn't have it any other way hehe.

I will definitely write more for other characters! Actually, when twst got its English release I made a tier list to show my friend how I felt about the characters. Since then, my opinions and tastes have changed. There was a category called "we can get dinner, but that's it" and I put Trey there. It's an inaccurate portrayal now because he has moved up into my favorites, as have many of the others on the list. I want to write more for Vil (starting with the omegaverse fic hehe) and I definitely want to write for Lilia more often!!!! He has a lot of potential... >:)

Aaaaa otome au my beloved!!! I would love to ramble more and brain rot on it! There are so many routes it could go. >w< I hope to make it my next big project after DRU is complete. I just love the idea of a reader who is trying to survive romance rather than fall into it. Reader tries so hard to avoid every situation that may lead to blossoming feelings, hoping to be unlikable and boring enough to avoid raising the affection meters of the main cast. But seeing as Reader is the main character, that's just impossible. orz if Reader encounters more than three romantic events in a single day, they're shuddering and thinking it's an omen for something much worse (the inevitable confession or those horribly cliché moments where they're destined to accidentally kabedon a character or fall into his chest or (worst of all) have a heartfelt, touching moment that establishes a deeper connection).

I have so many ideas for comedic interactions and jokes. I want to make a meta joke at some point in my outline, in which Idia and Reader are talking about video games and reality and Idia says, "Wouldn't it be easier if everyone had likability meters? Then you could just avoid getting caught up in useless quick-time events if you know the people around you hate you." And Reader, without missing a beat, very bluntly says, "Trust me on this. You don't want that. It sucks." On paper, the idea sounds great. In execution... ;;;;; not so much.

Dante outfits based of how much I'd wear them.

Been a while since I've done one of them silly little things hasn't it? Well I'm back with a new one of these that's a lot simpler than the Batsuit or Spider-Man suit ones. Mostly because there aren't that many of these costumes in game lol!

As I'm sure a lot of you have seen already, last month I got a pic of my self insert sona dressed in Dante's outfit from the original Devil May Cry. And there were very good reasons for that. Aside from Devil May Cry just being one of my favourite franchises of all time Dante's outfit in the original game just really, really appealed to me a lot that I had to get my sona dressed in it one day. I mean most of Dante's main outfits are great anyway. And while I likely won't be getting another pic of my sona dressed in his drip for a while given the amount of other ideas I want to get drawn for me I thought I might as well resurrect this kind of tier list I made a few years ago but for Dante's drip! I was also considering every other character as well, or at the very least every playable character, but decided to limit it to Dante just cause. I feel like I've wasted enough time so let's get into...

Good luck trying to convince me to take these off: It literally speaks for itself! My favourites of the funny demon mans outfits. From his original design from the first game plus the coatless version from 3 and his outfit from 2. Then again, who doesn't love his outfit from 2? It's commonly referred to as one of the only good parts of Devil May Cry 2 for a reason!

Would still love to wear: Then we get to the ones that I would pretty much still love wearing as a backup if his 1 and 2 costumes were not available to me. And yes, you are seeing that right, the Desile branded costume from DMC 2 is on this tier for me. Yeah, I know it's pretty much just one big product placement for a real life fashion brand but I also don't really care because I kind of really like it. And beyond that is pretty much every other main Dante costume in this series from 3 to 5 because they still look just as good to me. And also this one funny beach themed costume from Peak of Combat. Enjoy seeing it in this tier because pretty much every other outfit from PoC beyond this is downhill for me. Oh and also Dante's look from the upcoming Netflix anime. (PLEASE don't be cancelled 2 seasons in!)

Ehh, maybe: The ones I pretty much have very conflicted thoughts on to be honest. First there's the Sparda costume which I've never really known how to feel in general and it looks like it'd be WAY to expensive and hard to maintain for me. And then you got the EX colours for Dante's 4 and 5 outfits. I don't know, these colour swaps for the outfits just look fine. And then there's some of the other Peak of Combat costumes which I have no idea how to feel about them. They feel, how do I put this, over designed? I don't know, they feel like they got two much going on in them to me.

The amount of beer I'd have to consume to even consider wearing these would also kill me: Yeah, don't act like you didn't see the placement of these costumes coming. Even as someone who actually does like the 2013 reboot because I really don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be I would not pick these outfits to wear casually in any capacity. They don't have the same "cool factor" I'd argue the other Dante costumes do. Which really sucks when you look into the development history of the reboot and see that they did originally try to make it look somewhat more like classic Dante. And spoiler alert, the remaining 2 Peak of Combat costumes aren't any better either. The former has the same issue as the reboot costumes and the later... yeah I'm not a fan.

Oh and then you got the coatless version of his DMC 3 outfit with is literally just him in pants. I have no real strong feelings towards this costume one way or the other.

Weekly Update for 27 March, 2023

Howdy, folks! Welcome to the last update of March! Time really has flown, jesus-

Mind Games: Trepidation

Onto our favorite subject! If you guys haven't seen, there have been multiple edits pushed for mostly Chapter 1 and 2 this week! These edits have added new options to some dialogue choices, some customisation choices, and some variation to certain spots where I saw I favored sarcastic MCs over others. There have been a couple of grammar fixes pushed in Chapter 3, 4, and 5, but I have not done a more thorough editing of those chapters; after putting in some achievements, my brain kinda just. Flat-lined and needed a break, lol!

I have gotten LOADS done on Chapter 6! I am actually in Scene 3/4 for the rough draft, with about half of Scene 3's rough draft completed. Again, the rough draft is just me going through and picking one option for each branch and getting through the story so I know where it'll go when I go back to flesh it out! However, that's still a LOT of progress!!! The whole chapter is at about 5,600 words, and before doing the update I had started editing Scene 1 for a bit to start fleshing out so it's not so much work later.

A few things with MG:T:

In case you aren't aware, MG:T is only expected to be 9 Chapters, NOT including Interludes and the Epilogue. We are over 50% done with the game! VERY EXCITING!!! (Especially as I am ITCHING to get to book 2, lol!)

Chapter 6 is expected to be out in April. I will be releasing it in full as I'm expecting it to be a small to average size chapter.

I am always open to feedback and suggestions! Honestly, I would REALLY LOVE for you folks to tell me where you think improvements could be made or where you'd like to see more choices/what kind of choices you want to see more of. Be the change you want to see, lol!!

Remember: Every time an update is pushed, your saves will be corrupted! I try to push things all at once, but I never know how much I'll get done at any one time so sometimes I push smaller updates over a course of a day. If you aren't seeing anything new, it might be because your save is before the update was pushed!

I am still checking this Google Form! I am considering making one that is all about feedback and suggestions, and I DO check the one that's listed there daily! I actually have an active list of suggestions and stuff people have given me, and I do try to take the stuff you guys tell me needs fixing and put those fixes into the game!! Those of you who have answered the feedback section have been amazingly helpful and I appreciate it so much!!!

It also has a list of sneak peeks from Patreon I've posted! Some of them are a bit outdated as they're from, like, when I first started writing the game back in 2018-2019, but they're still enjoyable!

It's letting Patrons vote for which RO(s) will 100% be featured in April's scenarios for Patreon, and as a special treat, one of the 2 chosen ROs will be available to the lower tier as well! Reviewing every song on the Dinosaurs Big Songs album

I was originally just gonna talk about my favs but I have something to say about all of them apparently lol to condense it to a solid number, so I just wanted to talk about the album as a whole before I started ranking them. Disclaimer, I’m not like a music man, I don’t study music or know the fancy words, I’m just a Dinosaurs fan. Oh yeah. Spoilers for Dinosaurs if you care I guess lol.

Im a Dinosaur (I can do whatever I want) - yknow when you listen to a song and you’re like “yeah i would’ve eaten this up as a kid”. This feels less specific to Baby and more for the children that loved dinosaurs, like the actual animals, and wanted to be one. That was me. So I can rock with that. It’s a little boring and repetitive lyrically but it’s an alright opener, even if it doesn’t really match the vibe of the rest of the album super great imo.

In a Perfect World - Charlene slays. This is so Perfect Day from Legally Blonde core. It’s Charlene singing about how a perfect world for her would be if she could just go shopping all day and date infinitey amount of cute boys and honestly I respect that, love her.

I Wanna Be King - They won me over with the first lines of this song “if I was king of the world, I’d solve everything with mindless teenage enthusiasm and rock n roll”. This is basically the edgy teenage boy version of In a Perfect World sang by Robbie and Spike but I think I like this one a smidge better because I kinda just like rock music more. It’s pretty decent. I find it kinda sad how both of the teenager characters have songs like “if I was in charge, things would be like this!” Highlighting their naivety, enthusiasm for making the world a better place (when I say better place, I mean better place from the perspective of a teenage dinosaur im being lenient) and their optimism, when you pair it with how the show ended and another song later on this list.

Grandma’s Comin - it’s okay. Idk no real feelings about this one tbh. While I’m ambivalent about the song itself, I’ve actually always been a fan of Earl’s singing voice when you get to hear it in the main show and it really shines through here. I like the choice they made to give him a more bluesy song since his voice has almost a Screamin Jay Hawkins quality to it so that was a pretty smart choice to give him this song.

Stone Age Bayou - The more I think about this song, the more annoyed I get. On one hand I really love the vibe here, Monica brings almost a Jimmy Buffet vibe to the table with this, very relaxing and very fun. But the lyrics are what I’m upset with. Monica would never sing about this! I could be wrong, but I thought one of the biggest parts of Monica’s character was how they handled her divorce and how she realized she didn’t need a relationship to be happy and she actively criticizes the misogyny in the dinosaurverse in several episodes. So why is she singing about how she wishes she had a man to live with on the shore and play it all completely serious?? Rubs me wrong in the worst way. So I liked the harmonies and beat n stuff, but also I hate the Monica character assassination here. That’s her one song too, no other cameos or nothing. Idk it’s on the lower end of the tier list for me. This could be fixed if with a few lyrical tweaks, like it could be her singing about her real estate business, since she sings about how cool her fantasy home is in this a lot.

I’m the Baby (gotta love me) - no doubt the breakout of this album and the one everyone remembers the most of these. This song is also shorter than I remember it, since they took out most of the interjections from other characters on the album version. I think this is the only song here that actually appears in the show (80% sure the episode in question in Little Boy Boo at the very end) and yeah it’s pretty good, if I’m comparing it to the other Baby song on here, it’s a lot better to me than I’m a Dinosaur and captures his character a little better. One of my favs here.

Coldblooded Guy - I love Richfield more than anything but I’m not completely sold that his voice sounds super great carrying a song all by himself. Nothing super special imo it’s just him singing about comically evil things he’s done. It’s alright.

He’s a Lizard - Not a massive fan tbh, Fran’s voice is incredible but the song itself ehh. Ethyl’s interjections are pretty funny though lol. Fran and Earl’s relationship is in the same vein as Marge and Homer to me. There’s moments in there that you can tell they genuinely care for eachother. They have a lot of disagreements and rough patches and miscommunication, but they stick together. I like these relationships but these two examples and their execution in their respective shows mostly fall flat for me. The combination of how Earl’s character arc is and also how his more iffy traits are more on display in this song, just makes me sorta sad for Fran. I think it’s great that Fran loves her mediocre husband and sees him no matter what anyone says, but more than anything I just wish Earl’s growth was more obvious by the end of the series or they tries marriage counseling or something idk. But also it’s a sitcom from the 90s so whatever. It could be a bad sign that in my head I started imagining a Squilf and Bramble amv to this lol.

Poor Slobs with Terrible Jobs - my top favorite from the album! How do I start oh man. First things first, it has some great foreshadowing to how the show ends (climate change and mass extinction) as well as noting how absolutely stupid and monotonous their jobs are as tree pushers. Pretty dark melody, I almost got a little bit of a Worthless from Brave Little Toaster in this. Not a lot but a little bit, pointing at the sense of hopelessness and how Roy has a bit here where he dreams of having an actual job he can be proud of but can’t because of his lack of education. I also like how the parts of the song where Richfield interjects, it feels more like an army chant than an actual song. I love Richfield more in this kind of role. Something something about how ceos are more unabashedly evil than ever and Richfield literally causes the ice age that killed them all because of his own greed, folly, and how none of the characters had either the bravery or power to stop him. I love how Earl clearly knows that what he does is wrong even if he doesn’t have all the knowledge to why it is, and still does it because he’s worked for the company 20 years and it’s all he knows. Scream. Prime example of one of the many reasons why I love Dinosaurs, baby!

Eon after Eon - I like how literally no actual character in specific sings this, it’s just a dinosaur themed love song. Pretty good actually I like the 80s synth in this and I feel like if you put this in an actual legit love song playlist, it would fit in pretty well, with a few small changes (feeling 40 feet tall. Lol.) it’s not even like. A romantic love song, it’s just two dinosaurs uplifting eachother and they use the word friendship multiple times. I choose to believe this is a spotlight on how platonic love is just as important and beautiful as romantic love.

Be a Herbivore - Pretty damn short, it’s more skit than actual song but the song parts were pretty okay. Before listening to it I was sorta thinking that there would be a Robbie interjection in here since in the show he actually had an herbivore identity crisis (I’m a bisexual Robbie truther) but it’s just Earl being shamed by his refrigerator. It’s nothing special, just whatever.

Snoozin Time - I love you dinosaur lullaby. I love how it slowly drifts from normal lullaby with a slight prehistoric angle, to a desperate plea of “you destroyed the entire house and ate our neighbors please sleep I’m begging”. Fran sings this and again, I love her voice. I also love the choice they made of putting this song at the very end lmao, shout out to parents of the 90s that had to stick it out to their horrible kids blasting this on loop probably.

Overall a pretty fun time! Bummed out the Earl and Pearl episode came out two years after Big Songs because I would’ve lovveddd some of Pearl’s songs on here (im a country fan I can’t help it). Sorta a shame it’s not on Spotify but if you wanna check it out, it’s easy to find on YouTube, only a half hour long.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, i started to write my answer and completely forgot about it. It's been in my drafts for months, i feel so bad omg! 😭 It was also really difficult to choose and i have only two female characters i am truly ashamed... But thank you very much for this ask, it was fun!

Here's my top 10! 😊

1. Mob/Kageyama Shigeo (Mob Psycho 100 - Anime)

I love him so much! I think he has the most wonderful character development in any anime i've watched! He has such a pure soul and compared to other shonen MCs, he just wants to be a normal teenager and be happy. So much growth and strength with this character, i love it! The series finale was incredible and I was so happy for my boy🥹

2. Megumi Fushiguro (Jujutsu Kaisen - Anime)

I think he's an interesting character with so much potential for the future. I love the way he always appears reserved and cold but he's actually a softie on the inside and how his own sense of justice contrasts with Yuji. He's just a pretty cool character and stronger than he appears to be and he cares so much about his friends. Haven't read the manga but currently watching season 2 so I'm excited about what's in store for him!

3. Dream of the Endless (The Sandman - TV)

New favorite character alert!! Not a surprise 'cause my favorites are always the cold and broody ones tbh I just love how Dream is so imperfect and still learning and his whole vibe, the long black coat and the emo hair like he's in a indie rock band is just chef's kiss! Incredible character on the show, so charismatic and mesmerizing.

4. Five (The Umbrella Academy - TV)

At this point, there's a pattern here. Maybe it's because i'm an INTJ myself, but Five seems like he's very INTJ to me. It's just the whole attitude and the way he calculates and plans everything, very rational and precise, sarcastic and (though pretty mean sometimes), exactly how i like my characters! All his scenes are top tier and his power is very cool (not explored enough on the show unfortunately.)

5. Minho (The Maze Runner - Book series)

The sarcastic character? Asian as main? Hell yes! Finally more Asian representation and not stereotyped! The book series would have not been as good without him! I was pretty gutted when he was barely there in the Death Cure movie, but Ki Hong Lee was so great as Minho, he perfectly captured his smug and smartass attitude that I fell in love with. He's also very courageous and loyal to his friends which I love too. Overall a very cool character!

6. Deadpool/ Wade Wilson (Deadpool - Comics/Movies)

Deadpool is just Deadpool... Bro he's just vibing killing people or whatever. He's completely unhinged, crazy, over the top and just a fun ride. Pansexual king! What else can I say, he's just one of my favorite comic book characters ❤️

7. Miles Morales (Spiderman - Comics/Movies)

Another comic book character in my list. Miles is a cool addition to the Spiderverse and the movies they made are just INCREDIBLE! The animation, everything is top notch. Also Miles is very relatable and has an intesresting development. You get attached to him quickly and he's just so lovable, idk he's my son, i stan.

8. Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf - TV)

Honestly asfghjkl!! I've always loved this character, more so when i was a teenager watching Teen Wolf. Looking back now, the show was not that good but at the time I was pretty obsessed. Stiles was everything i loved about a character: funny, sarcastic, entertaining, likable... He made the show a lot better and kept me watching! He's low on this list only because i'm not into Teen Wolf as much as i was back in the day.

9. Sana Bakkoush (Skam - TV)

She's so cool?? I wish i had been like that when i was a teenager, well for the most part lol. I really like her unbothered attitude and her snarky comments. She is fierce, not afraid to say what she thinks and is loyal to her friends and trustworthy. She's a teenager who has still a lot to learn but she's already wise for her age and just a good character overall. I really like female characters who are confident and charismatic! Her season wasn't perfect, but for me she was the best character in the whole series 😊

10. Sidney Adamu (The Bear - TV)

She's last on the list mostly because she's a new favorite, but she's very cool. I can relate to her, she's fresh and real, she knows her worth, she's courageous, hard-working and just very lovable as a character! Sydney captivated me from the beginning and her scenes were always my favorites. Haven't finished season 2 yet but I can't wait to see where her character goes! ✨

ok so I made this list thinking about how I acted in high school (very edgy and a hater) and what my dynamic would've been like with each of these individual people at that time in my life. this has nothing to do with my opinion on the characters, simply whether I would've gotten along with them or not.

some of these stories are based on real things and some are made up based on vibes. not saying which ones tho

author's note: if I had to describe how I was in high school with one character, it would be john bender from the breakfast club. if you haven't seen the breakfast club, it's your responsibility to fix that because it's one of the best high school movies ever made.

additional note: I no longer identify with john bender. I was edgy and terrible in school because I had a tremendously bad home life with my mom and zero rules, so I just did whatever I wanted and I made a lot of bad choices and did a lot of bad things to other people that I do regret now. I am a morally gray female character.

Best Friend Tier

DUDcan: as much as I hate him as a character? we'd be real as fuck irl. he'd be the one to go to for alcohol and cigarettes and we'd do LSD for the first time in his dad's pickup truck in a church parking lot at 11 PM together. I'm not kidding either I can so crisply imagine being sixteen and talking about our bad relationship with our parents in his dingy cesspool bedroom while his family is out having a dinner he wasn't invited to. we would have a lot of "are we dating?" moments but truthfully we never really had feelings for each other beyond platonic. he was also an asshole to me and I was an asshole to him and that's just how the bond was. I had a lot of trouble with his girlfriends because I was the girl best friend who they saw as a "backup girlfriend" when that was never the case. I was never friends with his gfs, and the periods in which he dated them were times when I would hang out with other people.

Okay Friends Tier

DJ: he seems like the kind of person I SHOULD'VE hung out with more in school but didn't because I didn't want to be reminded that my behaviors weren't healthy. he still seems like someone who'd take a lot of pity on me and make an active effort to be kinder. the kind of person who'd let me stay the night at his house when I didn't want to be in mine. he'd have a bunch of pets which would be awesome and his mom(s) would let me stay in the very nice guest room that I would feel SO bad using (but they would insist, because the couch is too uncomfortable for sleeping) and they'd make me breakfast and tell me I was welcome back whenever I needed.

Leshawna: someone I wouldn't get along with at first but who, over the years, would become the only person I could talk to about certain things and not feel judged. similarly to DJ, I think she'd take a lot of pity on the things going on in my life. She would move to another school or city or something in junior year but we'd keep in contact and every few months one of us would reach out just to catch up and swap stories and advice on the things going on in our lives.

Cameron: I actually wouldn't remember how we met, we just kinda started hanging out one day and that was that. he figured out that I had the benefit of getting mean people to leave me alone (either by intimidating them or by being friends with them lol) and would stick to me. kind of like a younger sibling. he'd also figure out that I don't mind listening to people infodump about their interests and would take great liberties to talk to me about whatever he was thinking of. he comes off as someone who would have a lot of trouble making friends because of a lack of empathy and difficulty in casual social situations, which I understand. we probably wouldn't keep in touch after we graduated, but we'd remember each other.

Katie and Sadie: let's be real for a moment. they would both get SO bullied for being dumb and loud. but they would also be so nice and would likely be the only female friends I had who'd be nice to me and treat me like a girl. ykwim. they seem the type to like, I dunno try to bleach their hair at home and freak out when it turned orange instead of blonde and they'd call me super panicked cause they don't want to be ginger and their moms already told them they weren't allowed to bleach their hair until college and I'd have to come over and help them. and they'd teach me how to do makeup in a way I still do to this day.

Rock and Spud: probably some of duncan's friends who I'd befriend through association. not much to say other than they know a good dealer and are generally nice people. they'd give me music recs and I'd return the favor and then we'd talk about the songs the next day. one year they'd be the only people to remember my birthday and get me a bunch of CDs and tapes.

Ryan: sat with me in english class. really smart guy, super perceptive, and we'd talk a lot about themes and stuff and get really good grades together. wouldn't talk much outside of class.

Sam: I feel like he'd start off in the pity tier because I mean. he would get SUPER bullied. but also over time I think he'd generally just be a fun person to talk to. I'd hang out in his dad's garage and watch him and his friends play mario kart together.

Scott: AGAIN a character who I don't like a lot but who I'd definitely get along with. would be a "our parents knew each other before high school so we hang out when there's no one else" situation. he would let me drive his pickup even though I don't have a license because he doesn't believe in the DMV. and we'd drive out to his family farm and wander into the corn fields and find weird bugs and stuff and talk about life. he'd steal his dad's cigars and we'd smoke them under that One Tree. I don't know how many of you have actually been on a family farm but there's always that one tree with the rotting car skeleton under it. we'd sit in that car and smoke and talk about bullshit for hours.

Civil Out of Pity Tier

Beth: sat across from me in science class. SUPER sweet, even though I'm pretty sure I made her aa little uncomfortable. would constantly talk about her boy band crushes and going to the formal in a new dress her mom sewed just for her and I'd nod along cause I really wouldn't have anything to say back but I had no reason to be rude. she'd have a lot of friends who I think were even more scared of me but I didn't bother with them anyway.

Ella: remember that one girl from the breakfast club who's label was "the basket case" and who everyone regarded as being crazy? yeah that's her. people would be nice to her face and then make fun of her behind her back in a way that'd bother me so much I'd go out of my way to be nicer to her. fight back against the system rahhh

Leonard + Tammy: DND kids before DND was cool. relentlessly bullied. I think both of them would have wicked drawing skills for their characters, though, and we'd have a few good conversations about folklore because I love that shit and all of my other friends would pick on me for it.

Jay + Mickey: were clearly trying to fly under the radar. first day of freshman year the homeroom teacher would announce to everyone that they both have life threatening allergies and carry epi pens, so if they had a reaction everyone would know what to do. and this would be super humiliating for both of them and I'd take pity for that alone. they're literally just trying to be normal.

Mike: one of those kids who'd be INSANELY nice to compensate for his visible mental illness. would get relentlessly picked on by teachers for having issues with memory and acting out sometimes, both of which I also experience cause I too had an undiagnosed dissociative disorder. I'd so badly want to be like "hey, man, I get it" but I wouldn't get too close just cause I felt like it wasn't my place. I'd try to be nice at least.

Nothing Against Them Tier:

Owen: we would get partnered for an english project and actually have a pretty good time making it, and then on the day of the presentation he'd fake being sick so I'd have to present it alone. I wouldn't hold it against him tho.

Tyler: our only interactions would be him asking me to explain assignments cause he sat behind me in auto or something and didn't understand what the teacher said, ever.

Crimson + Ennui: surprising even me, I just can't imagine myself being buddy-buddy with these guys. I think they had their own loner thing going on in a much more passive way than I did, and we didn't mess with each other out of a shared understanding, but we never really talked, either.

Something Against Them Tier:

Amy: she would intimidate me and I would steer VERY clear of her to avoid conflict. looking back on high school, I would later find that she probably didn't even notice my existence.

Anne Maria: would make fun of me but I wouldn't want to start shit with her because everyone already disliked her anyway and I was pretty sure she could hand me my ass on a platter if she wanted to.

Brick: army guy. immediate grounds for conflict with me. but I think we'd have a discussion where I'd say that I think veterans need better accommodations because like every man in my family has been enlisted in the military and he'd respect me so much for that we wouldn't ever argue again. then four years after graduation Leshawna would be like "oh brick? yeah he turned out to be gay and he's a designer now" and I'd be like oh great so all of that was for nothing.

Bridgette + Geoff + Brody: it'd be 113 degrees outside and they STILL wouldn't wear deodorant

Kitty: too happy. I'd find that suspicious.

Lindsay: being dumb doesn't excuse all the passive-aggressive bullying she would do. I wouldn't be mean back because I don't think she even realized she was being a dick but I would eat up her downfall after Heather decided they couldn't be friends anymore.

Sammy: we would have one single conversation in which it would become apparent to me that what she needs is a person who can constantly reassure her, be there for her, and serve as an emotionally stable figure of authority. that person would NOT be me.

Sanders: rules enjoyer. "erm don't we have homework due today" right before the end of class type chick. would get me in trouble for skipping.

Gwen: we would have had beef one way or the other. I have no other notes we just would've.

Carrie: one of those girls who made her first boyfriend her entire personality. we would've been paired up in math class or something and she would've spent the entire project talking about devin until she realized I was ignoring her and didn't care. and then she never would've talked to me again.

Dakota: popular. idc how nice she actually was, every time I saw a rich skinny blonde girl in high school my kill instinct was activated.

Dawn: I laughed in her face when she asked me what my spirit animal was.

Devin: I can't actually explain this one but he seems like someone who would traumadump on literally anyone who started a conversation with him. I'd be trying to talk about the discussion question in english class and he'd be like "it's just so hard to think about school since my grandma died and my girlfriend dumped me and my dog left me for a better owner 🥺" and teenage me couldn't do empathy so I'd be like "okay."

Topher: he was either extremely repressed or just plain metrosexual but either way he had something against lesbians and would call me a dyke* because I cut my hair short.

Eva: IRL I actually had a surprising amount of friends in high school who were gym rats. probably because I also was kind of a jock. but yes Eva would see me once at the dojo and all of a sudden we would start nodding at each other while passing each other in the halls.

Harold: sat next to me in French class. the teacher would hate him for his autistic swag because he would interrupt constantly to correct them when they said something wrong. I would find that hilarious because I fucking HATED like 90% of the teachers in hs (again. bad at academics) and would back him when the teacher tried to get him in trouble.

B: he's smart but not in an obnoxious way. he has the vibes of someone who I'd know before school because our parents are friends or something and we never quite got along but I know he'd have my back if it came down to that

Sierra: okay listen to me. we wouldn't be friends but I don't think she would be scared of me either so any time we were in close proximity she'd talk my ear off about dan and phil or whatever the fuck and I'd just take it because trying to get her to shut up would be literally impossible. I would be aware of the fact that she wrote rpf on wattpad but I strongly believed in minding my own business so I wouldn't say anything unless I was directly asked about it. and then she'd ignore me and keep talking.

Jo: same thing as Eva except I think she'd talk to me more.

Sky: same thing as Eva but she'd somehow talk to me even less.

Stephanie: you will notice that there's a lot of hated characters in the mutual respect tier. this is because people did not like me in high school and I found it easier to hang out with all the other kind of terrible people than to try to fit in.

Physical Violence Tier:

heather and taylor both come off as people who talk a lot of shit to and about other girls because they don't expect them to really do anything about it. but I used to beat up the girls who were mean to me in high school. then they'd never bother me again!* lalalalala

Extreme Mutual Hatred Tier:

Courtney: class council president, founder and president of the environmental coalition, does 8 hours of volunteer work every weekend, class valedictorian, 4.00 GPA, overly pretentious and smug. kind of the same thing with noah but worse because she's not just being sarcastic, she's dead serious about thinking she's better than everyone else. we would get into a mutual physical fight at one point or another.

Emma: kind of the same thing as courtney except those two would have an academic rivalry and it would be hilarious to watch from the outside. would tire herself to death with AP classes and dual enrollment just to go to state, which I also got into. I would find that very satisfying.

Jacques + Josee: would call me fat and I'd call their "sport" an insult to actual skaters. one of the few battles I'd willingly pick with other athletes because I know for a fact that Eva and Jo would hate them too and would back me if things got messy.

Scarlett: same thing as emma and courtney but one time in computer science I saw her using the 3D modeler to construct her own original saw traps and I steered clear of her after that. I'm pretty sure she wanted to commit acts of violence against the other smart girls

Never Spoke To Tier:

Ezekiel: homeschooled

Izzy: for some reason I just cannot imagine talking to her. like I'd know who she was when someone brought her up but otherwise? I just cannot imagine one single conversation

okay I like zoey as much as the next guy but you cannot look me in the eyes and tell me she wouldn't be the worst possible person to be friends with. she seems like someone who'd get mad at something I said and then instead of addressing it with me, start acting really passive-aggressive and expect me to just KNOW what I did. she'd literally make me beg to find out why she's mad and then refuse to tell me because I should "know". would get upset over the fact that I don't respond to her PMs fast enough and either be extremely clingy or give me the silent treatment as a punishment. would take everything I did that even mildly upset her as a personal attack. would get jealous over the other people I hung out with and then when we all spent time together, she'd just act really rude and uptight. once slapped me "as a joke" and then tried to laugh it off when I gave her that Look. begged me to take her to a frat party when we were underage and then left me there to take an ecstasy tablet in some college guy's car so I had to call duncan to pick me up and he made fun of me while driving home. didn't know how to handle her alcohol so I had to drive her home in her own car every. single. time. sent me songs to listen to and then I had to pretend I liked them or she'd get sad. would have occasional breakdowns where she admitted she knew that she was being terrible to me and then nothing would change. all while I sat there like :| okay zoey. Alastor and Vaggie (one was instant and the other slowly grew on me and now i legit can't choose)

Alastor is a trickster with standards, he punches up, confronts bullies, but honestly he's just so cute i automatically forgive him any crimes. Bonus points for helping me realize being affectionate with friends doesn't ruin your bad boy persona, it shows you're secure in it. Don't redeem him it's demon cruelty!

Vaggie is a tragic reformed soldier who desperately tries to repent for her war crimes; the juxtaposition of regular tough attitude and complete guard dropping for Charlie endeared me to her a lot. 'Whatever it takes' came up and i was like oooowww~

Also this scene before the final battle where she tells other hotel residents to save themselves cause "We.. I can't protect you anymore". She CARES

The funny thing is that Vaggie and Alastor share that strong preference to only socialize with women (me too! i feel so seen!) but CAN'T STAND each other

After i watched the pilot it took me a while to start Helluva Boss, but we binged it with a friend few years ago and i was really invested in this universe since then

Innovative industry-changing trendsetting project we do not appreciate enough yet as a society. As a person who loves musicals, animated music videos, action, fighting and dancing, i was finally fed~

It's a crime it wasn't given more episodes; it's so tightly packed that even if i have some issues with pacing and priorities, i can't imagine HOW it can be rearranged without loosing important elements that are there already. I also firmly believe that fast story is better than less story so i'm against "just cut stuff out" approach

☆ if you could remove anything or someone from hazbin, what would it be?

This one scene where sir Pentious got dragged into a sex room as a joke 😑

— The reason you end up in Heaven or Hell is that deep inside you're sure you deserve to go to Heaven or Hell (stole this idea from tumblr). That's how Adam ended up where he did. And sir Pentious unlocked a new mechanic cause he was exposed to the idea of redemption by Charlie (my 5 cents)

— There're more former exorcists in Hell besides Vaggie, and Carmilla saw them

— Rosie will teach Charlie how she made Cannibal town that nice of a place

— Alastor killed the most cruel and ruthless overlords, that's why the more decent ones, like Zestial / Carmilla / Rosie accepted him into the club (fandom commonplace)

— Alastor didn't kill Husk but kept his soul cause Husk wasn't that bad of a person in his overlord days and Alastor actually likes having him around

— Alastor doesn't own Nifty's soul

— Nifty is actually crazy powerful, she just wasn't properly motivated to unleash it on anyone yet

— Angel sold his sould to Valentino not out of desperation but cause he was manipulated into thinking that was a good idea somehow (he put a heart in his contract signature, also not my theory)

Velvette is the coolest V. Vox is very relatable cause he's so done and just wants to do his job in peace and he still can't cyberbully to save his life. Valentino is a great reminder that your life can be ruined by an IDIOT which adds an insult to injury

I was dead sure Vox and Valentino are married. I hate the fact that i enjoy Valentino's dynamic with other Vees that much

I know and love Vox and Velvette's VAs from their Broadway performances as Marvin from Falsettos, Helene from Great Comet and Persephone from Hadestown

Adam can die in a fire, the genocidal maniac. He's much MUCH worse than Valentino, there's even no comparison, but i feel like fandom thinks the other way and it's wild. He was an extremely entertaining antagonist, but please don't return him in season 2

☆ if you could be best friends with any of the characters, who would it be?

I feel nerd kinship with sir Pentious but i don't think we'll be like Best Friends; i could see myself forming something like that with Vaggie if i happen to fall on her good side

The hatedom for this show is wildly disproportionate and uncalled for and it's genuinely breaks my heart cause i fear it may discourage other animators with personal projects. Hazbin deserved MUCH more praise and recognition

Sinners don't need redemptions, they need to be left alone by Heaven and work on making Hell a better place

Sir Pentious did not get a good ending, he lost all the friends he just made (it may turn out for the better but right now i'm sad)

Charlie did her best in Masquerade and as an untrained group therapist at the Hotel, cut the girl some slack, she does learn from mistakes

It's possible for Alastor to simultaneously like and help Hotel residents when he can and pursue his own agenda when he must

I think Mimzy is cute, sue me (we need more pathetic women representation, hope we'll get it in season 2)

Fandom plz stop with the infantilization of Nifty; people realized it's a problem with Velvette, which is cool, but Nifty still suffers from it too often

— Alastor plans on actually befriending Charlie to have a powerful willing ally like Rosie who can help him get off the leash

— Alastor decided to fight Adam to show off his powers and publicly defeat the First Man, but miscalculated catastrophically (stole this one from my sister)

— Nifty will be forced to choose between Alastor and the Hotel residents at some point in season 2

— Charlie subconsciously treats Hotel guests the way she was treated by her parents as a kid cause it's her only point of reference

— Vaggie and Angel will grow closer cause they're very similar in their protective nature, realistic worldview and self-neglect (season 2 i'm begging you)

— both Charlie and Vaggie visited Rosie and Carmilla, respectively, after the final battle to tell them how it went

— Carmilla will introduce Vaggie to her daughters and they will start hanging out sometimes

— Vaggie had good relationship with other exterminators during her Heaven era, even with Lute at some point, and she always hated Adam

— i like the idea of Husk winning back either Angel's soul from Valentino or his own from Alastor in a game of cards (it's like poetry; irl don't play if you're an addict though) or any other seemingly inoffensive game

— after he looses Angel's soul (and get his own beaten out of him preferably) Valentino will reevaluate his life and start dating Vox officially

— Cherry and Husk will become unlikely pals through Angel

— the apple tower is more likely Charlie's office, not Lucifer's, but he will be involved with running the Hotel

— considering Lucifer is actually a sincere, nice and caring person, it will be HARD for Alastor to win back the spotlight after he returns to the Hotel

Been sitting on this all day and I wanna word vomit about it for a bit. Might put a read more if I think it gets too long.

I wanna move forward in Oracle. What do I mean by that? I mean, in a lot of posts you'll often read phrases like "when he (Jelani) finally gets his memory back" or "when Jericho unlocks his (again Jelani) memories" or when I phrase things that pertain to his "old self" in the future tense. I wanna get that part over with and carry it forward from now on.

EDIT: Yeah, this is long as fuck lol but there is/was a lot of information that goes into this and honestly I tend to overexplain stuff and suck at summarizing stuff. So if anyone actually bothers to read any of this, let alone the whole thing, just know that I love you and you now own my soul.

I have a lot to say about Jela and this entire ordeal honestly speaking. There's a lot to him that was done from the get go, some that developed over time (hell, I'm still developing this as I go) and some that was brought over from other AUs believe it or not. Some was on purpose and some that was completely unintentional. Anyway, if anyone's been keeping up, Jelani is actually what in the setting of Oracle is known as a Maker. To recap a Maker is a god to the gods, the god to a pantheon and so on. If there was a tier list from most powerful to least powerful in a deity sort of way it'd have to be:

1. Maker

2. God

3. Demigod

4. and everything else under demigods.

Like I said in a post like a month or two ago, there is nothing higher than a Maker...except for Concepts (we're not gonna get into those at the moment, those are way too difficult to get into and this subject matter is already difficult enough as it is). However, Jelani falls into a weird category. Originally, back when he was known only as Eldest One, he only answered to the Concept of Existence. The pecking order goes as:

1. Concept of Existence

2. Eldest One aka Jelani

3. All the thousands of thousands of Concepts.

4. Every other Maker.

5. Gods

6. Demigods

7. Everything else

Why the hell is he, a Maker, above other Concepts if they are these uber powerful ideas that answer to nothing? Because Eldest One was the very first thing to be created. Not the universe, not the stars, not planets, dark matter, antimatter, matter or anything else. It was Eldest One. So from Eldest One everything else was made. Eldest One is the foundation for literally everything.

But then why is he born to two berserkers? Because he was "killed off" and was reincarnated and this reincarnation stripped him of his memories, powers and abilities. Whatever he knows before Jericho was slowly unlocked on his own and even then he's still operating at 1% of that power.

As Eldest One he was instructed to create a patheon, it would be the very first pantheon--the Primordial Pantheon. From this patheon came Jericho, Iain and several other unnamed gods. As life kept creating itself and evolving each god fell into a role. Death, life, afterlife, creation so on and so on. Concept of Existence took a backseat and just monitored everything. The only thing They had to do was make sure existence kept going, no matter what. As long as there was existence They really didn't care how it was. They would also task Makers with this job: keep existence existing and if there was a threat to existence it was any and all Makers's job to snuff out that problem no matter who or what it was.

CoE sat back and relaxed, made Eldest One an Arch-Maker and for millions of years shit just happened. Some few millions of years later, if you wanna put a timeline to it I guess you could say a little before the Big Bang, Eldest One needed some help managing shit and who better than Jericho. She was trustworthy, reliable, loyal to a fault and capable so Eldest made Her a Maker.

*Makers aren't born, they are ascended by other Makers.

Iain was sort of put off by this because She felt She could do the job better than Jericho could. Could She? No, She was always busy handling Her own thing and was about as helpful as a dick on an elbow but She still felt some type of way. So instead of proving Herself useful or you know, doing Her damn job She instead started spreading the rumor that Jericho bribed Her way to that position. Iain legit thought Jericho was a total yes man just to get rewarded but that was not the case. The rumor spread between the pantheon and other pantheons were starting to lose control of their ranks so to speak and this in turn caused some turmoil and creation as a whole halted. CoE was summoned but all They said was that it was in the hands of the Arch-Maker (Eldest One). Long story short an uneasy agreement was reached but Iain being Iain She kept inciting others behind Eldest One's back which culminated in a coup because Iain managed to convince many gods and Makers that Eldest One operated by favoratism and only those They were fond of could rise to power and before you know it the vast majority of these deities were against Eldest One and Jericho along with a handful were on Eldest One's side. Unfortunately with time Eldest One grew paranoid and trusted no one, not even Jericho. Time passes and the paranoia grows more and more, unrest gets worse, bickering gets worse and creation suffers. The realm being created is almost at a standstill with nothing progressing and a war is almost fully developed until it blew up. An old god of death wanted an audience with Eldest One to see if something could be done to ease tentions but an argument broke and Eldest One killed the old god of death. This was the first ever recorded death to take place. Their corpse was tossed into the half-baked realm to be displayed for all to see and when another Primordial god came forward Eldest One killed that one in a way that caused a massive explosion and from the body and soul came the Big Bang and put everything into motion. However, Eldest One was sort of in a state so a war broke out and They intended to go for everyone since everyone had turned Their backs on Them. Not true but They were so deep in Their paranoia and hurt by it all that They couldn't see reason. Jericho tried to stop Them but They saw it as an attempt to kill Them so Eldest One attacked and injured Her and before They could kill Her CoE finally stepped in and restrained the Arch-Maker but millions of years of paranoia had kind of taken their toll on Them and They were deep in a sort of psychosis. Given that They were immensely powerful and currently a threat to existence CoE had no choice but to kill Them. Sort of.

CoE killed Them physically but Their essence was very much alive and floating in the aether trapped in complete silence and darkness for actual eons. Everyone and everything else thought They were dead and the surviving gods of the Primordial pantheon disbanded though none were ever the same again and no one knew it all started because of Iain's bitch ass.

Here's the thing. CoE could've killed Eldest One but They were the foundation for creation and if They die everything else dies with Them and CoE would have to start all over again. So CoE decided that freezing the prince of existence away until They calmed down was the best choice. They could and should've left Them trapped but CoE had placed a timer on Their prison and when it ran out Eldest One was released but instead of just coming back They decided to move on. Basically the equivalent of changing your name, changing your look a little and moving to a different country to get away from your toxic and bullshit family only a little more complicated.

Memories? Scrubbed clean. Powers? Locked away. Essence? Killed off and passed onto a new self. For all intents and purposes Eldest One is dead and the new owner of the title of prince of existence and the new Arch-Maker is Jelani. Neither of them are the same person. At all. However, Jelani inhereted several things from Eldest One and you can argue that it's not fair since he wasn't responsible for any of it nor did he ask to be the new Arch-Maker and prince. It is what it is though.

So instead of being born a Dreadstar berserker as he would've been had Eldest One not passed on Their role to Jelani he was born as the new Arch-Maker. So what does that mean for him? A lot of things actually. He inherited the powers, abilities, privileges, status and all the negativity as well. When word got out that Eldest One was now this person born from mortals (using that term loosely here, what I really mean is not of divinity) and raised as one all eyes were instantly on him. Both Iain and Jericho knew CoE couldn't just kill Eldest One and they waited eagerly to find Them again and exact revenge in their own way. However, through the years She had Her suspicions about Jelani but She had no tangable proof. She'd get close and observe and even tried to test him in ways to see if what She suspected was right. She even went so far as to try to kill him (managed to injure him though) but She knew better and this inkling of a feeling in Her chest wouldn't let Her do it. She still absolutely hated him, hated him so much She would torment him with hallucinations, night terrors and even made his sleeping disorder worse at times. Speaking of, yeah, the constant migraine attacks he gets are because of Eldest One. CoE crushed part of Their crown and stabbed a bunch of the shards into the right side of Their head and face, which is where the migraine attacks always hit Jelani. Jela's phobia of the dark is the result of Eldest One being trapped in darkness for millions of years. Like I said, Jelani inherited all the negativity from and because of Eldest One. Along with that Jericho and Iain's hate as well as the hatred from thousands of gods and Makers. So when Jericho fully confronted him She saw he couldn't remember anything, hell, he didn't know Her at all and that's when She put two and two together and honestly felt disgusted that Eldest One would just place the burden of it all on him without his consent. She saw how confused by it all Jelani was and to be frank he's had an identity crisis his entire life so in an act of "kindness" She placed Eldest One's memories on him and unlocked all the powers and abilities. No, She shouldn't have done that because She set in motion a lot of bullshit.

Now Jelani was aware of a lot of crap he honestly was not prepared for, was pretty much outted to a ton of other powerful forces that hated him for shit he didn't do and wasn't even aware of, exposed him to Iain and severely pissed off CoE. No one aside from CoE and Jericho knew the truth and as much as Jericho wanted to clear his name She was silenced by CoE so Jelani bore the brunt of it all. Jela wasn't quiet about it though, he was adamant that he wasn't Eldest One but it mostly fell on deaf ears, no one (I'm talking in a cosmic divine level, not his family, friends or non-divine) trusted him and like I keep repeating a lot of them hate him for what Eldest One did. The stress of it all was crazy, he was constantly attacked and/or threatened not just by Iain but by other divinities. He barely slept, barely ate, barely got out of bed and for the second time in his life he actually tried to kill himself but Jericho stopped him. She managed to calm him down enough to get him to see reason mostly in the form of convincing him that he couldn't do that to his husband, his brother, his family and friends. She was basically his one and only (divine) ally.

So after begrudgingly accepting that that was how shit was gonna be from now on he and Jericho went after Iain. Took a while but in the end he managed to kill Her but not before getting Her to confess that She was the one that initiated that whole mess. So what happened after that? Even after all that trouble and hard work a lot of them still didn't trust him but they didn't full on hate him especially when Jericho vouched for him. In the end Jelani wants absolutely NOTHING to do with being an Arch-Maker or anything to do with outer and cosmic gods and the Concepts. He finally got his answers, for better or worse, and unknowingly carried out Eldest One's revenge. Jericho volunteered to take his burden as prince of existence and as a secondary Arch-Maker to carry out all of his duties. Where does that leave Jelani? Self exile. He gave up his duties as prince of existence but he is STILL an Arch-Maker and his place in the pecking order hasn't budged. All the perks and privileges are at his disposal and all that good shit that would make anyone lesser than go power hungry are his but he doesn't acknowledge it and doesn't use it UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY (read: some world ending catastrophy). Yeah, he was bitter for a while and a little lost to be honest but eventually he went back to his old self. CoE tries to steer him back but Jelani pretty much ignores Them and doesn't talk to Them unless it is the absolute last option. Think of it as him going no contact with CoE. Jericho shows up every once in a while to check in. Both he and Jericho were fucked over and a sort of weird friendship formed between 'em.

With this sort of parallel to Angelus it made both his and Angelus's love all the stronger. They both saw themselves in each other, born as something unexplainable, often ostracized by others (Angelus for being a Crossedbreed and Jelani for being the son of two berserkers but not being one himself, feeling like he was a complete disappointment to his family given the rich history of his family from his mother's side), never having the chance to fully understand who they really were because of outside circumstances, being hated for being born something that was completely outside of their control, being completely misunderstood and often times the subject of jealousy from others coveting their power and abilities. Both actually got to a point where they thought of themselves as dangerous monsters and were so afraid of hurting other people but the truth is both are extremely caring, loving and protective people who would rather hurt themselves than to hurt someone else especially loved ones.

With this development a lot of other story-arcs open up especially one of my favorite ones that I'll sit down and write someday lol. Some older enemies become a little more threatening, others become lesser than and other ideas can be explored. I just thought it was about time I moved this forward. I wanna move a lot of things forward but this is already long enough. If you read this to the very end you officially own my soul and I love you.

My WMMAP character tier list

It’s been months since WMMAP ended so I decided to do a wmmap tier list for funsies.

Tbh, not much has changed since I last did this tier list thingie but I definitely became more... specific with how much I like and dislike certain characters.

Ana’s, Jennette’s, Kiel’s and Roger’s tiers are pretty obvious tbh since I’ve consistently made a lot of posts about them generally. They’re the threads still connecting me to wmmap to this day.

Not much to say about Felix. I just think he’s neat. 

I like Lily and Claude. I don’t simp for Claude as much as I used to anymore tho lol. Nowadays, I just wanna imagine him as an actual dad after he got his ‘redemption arc’... I just like to clown him mostly tbh. As for Lily... I wish we’d have gotten more of her since she is literally the only person who’d always sided with Athy in LP and she’s devoted her entire life caring for Athy. 

Athy, I’m on the bridge of the ‘like’ tier and the ‘you’re okay. we have no beef tier’ because, yeah I like her. She’s the protagonist for god’s sake. But I don’t really... worship her like other Athy enjoyers lol. To me she’s alright. 

I still like Diana but I feel detached from her character tbh. Would have loved her more if she had more screentime... and some personality than just being Claude’s past lover and Athy’s mom who loves her even in the afterlife. But chapter 100 is absolutely beautiful. Loved that chapter so much.

Lucas is mostly meh for me. I mean, yeah he has his good points but overall I’m just not that huge of a fan of his character in the manhwa. Maybe I’d have liked him more if he has more character development. Also maybe if he has friends he wants to protect then I’d have bumped him up to the ‘we have no beef’ tier.

Penelope Judith... she doesn’t deserve being on a proper tier ahsdhcfhsh. She’s just a character I really dislike across fiction. Is she hot? Yeah but she’s not my type of hot. I often stay away from any fan content involving her but I kinda like seeing fanart of her being a mom to Jen. Penelope stans, you do you tho cause you guys are so chill! Love you guys <3

I don’t mind at tall~! And while I’m not sure I could give a full pick from everything I’ve consumed, I can at least go with some that stick out as extra memorable lol

{Disclaimer: these are in particular order, aside from the order I’ve managed to remember them in-- also full warning that this list is probably gonna be a mess, but here we go lol}

1}: Minato Mito -Therapy Game/Therapy Game Restart

Hoo boy, where do I even start here? I suppose some of the reasons I love Minato so much are the fact that I can relate to him, personality wise... Of course, liking how he looks is a nice bonus too-- but I think one of the biggest reasons is that despite being a troubled person thanks to his past, he’s till willing to work on himself and try to become a better partner/man, even if during that journey he’s still struggling with himself in a fair few different ways.

2}: Howl Pendragon -Howl’s Moving Castle

Look-- all i can offer for my piece here is that this movie is among my top tier bits of comfort media, and i’ll make no excuses that part of said enjoyment is a crush on a flamboyant, charming, and sparkly wizard--

3}: Cheshire Cat -Are You Alice?

Okay, so-- i’ve had a soft spot for Alice in Wonderland themed media for ages now, and this manga was no exception-- plus, the darker/more mysterious twists it’s built on made for something really new at the time i picked it up. And while I adore a majority of the cast, I can’t help singling out this troublemaking cat as a high favorite lol-- seeing as his personality is super appealing to me, and watching his dynamics with other characters was always interesting and fun... although, in addition to this-- the fact that i enjoyed him enough to rp him for a good few years likely goes a long way in me loving him as well. As there’s always something special about making your own memories with a character in that sorta way--

4}: Shui -Lamento ~Beyond the Void~

Despite being a minor character in the story, I like Shui for the fact that he was overall such a caring character, and someone who tried his damnest to fight for he believed was the right thing to do. From befriending (and let’s be honest, probably also falling in love with) Leaks, whom their whole populous viewed as an outcast, to trying to plan a way that he could prove the others wrong about their views on him. And later on, doing all he could to help his son in trying to fix the mistakes he and Leaks ended up setting in motion.

5}: Saint Germain -Code: Realize

I can’t think of the words to put together why I love this man as a character so much... But, I can at least vouch for loving him based on the fact that his route was my favorite to play through. Added fun fact: his route is one of the few that’ve managed to actually make me cry a bit lol

6}: Shiraishi Kageyuki -Collar x Malice

Shiraishi I love because he’s a character I find fascinating, from learning about the deeper layer to him via backstory, to watching him grow as an actual person... Compared to someone who once viewed himself as little more than a doll, a being without his own emotions or true existence.

7}: Ukyo -Amnesia: Memories

Ukyo again gains his spot based on his route(s) being among my favorites in the game lol-- but again, also because i enjoy his complexities, and maybe because i slightly have a thing for fictional men who’re just a bit unhinged XD

8}: Cinderella -Dictatorial Grimoire

Coming from a series that i picked up more or less on a whim, after it was recommended to me at the bookstore one day-- Cinderella is a character i loved at first because of the impression he and the story as a whole gave me, but past that first impression, he grew on me over the course of things as i learned his layers. And somewhat, got to watch him grow-- However, i can’t deny also loving him thanks to the fact that he (like Ches) is an older rp muse of mine. So the memories from those adventures play a big hand in things too lol

9}: Angel Dust -Hazbin Hotel

Aside from loving Angel for the levels of chaos that is his personality, I also enjoy the glimpses of a deeper look we get at him... I guess to sum it up simply, I enjoy Angel because while I vibe with him a surface level, he’s also another case where seeing the bits of deeper layers to his character is fascinating to me.

10}: Blitzo -Helluva Boss

Honestly, I haven’t got much to say about Blitzo-- aside from the fact that like Angel Dust, I love him for the absolute chaotic energy lol

Impey Barbicane, Victor Frankenstein, & Cardia Beckford -Code: Realize

For Impey and Fran, my love is 100% born from a mix of their routes being tied and secondary favorites from the game, and simply from a love of their personalities-- meanwhile Cardia’s is mainly the latter, but also because i loved the experience of watching her grow throughout the game (plus, she also earns a sweet spot with me for being one of the few good VN heroines i’ve seen)

Asato -Lamento ~Beyond the Void~

Although his route wasn’t among my favorites in the game... mainly for one reason-- overall, i like Asato because i find him super sweet-- and because i feel like he had a lot of untapped potential that could be put to use.

Shizuma Ikushima & Itsuki Mito -Therapy Game/Therapy Game Restart & Secret xxx

Honestly, while i generally love all the cast from Meguru Hinohara’s works, including one i haven’t listed here-- it’s hard not to have that added soft spot for those closest to my top favorite from this little series lol

March Hare, Alice(?), & Jack/The Knave of Hearts -Are You Alice?

All I have to say is that I love way too many characters out of this manga's cast LOL-- But these three earn a special mention because, yet again, I adore their personalities... And for Alice(?), because I just find him interesting in general-- Jack meanwhile, earns added love thanks to the fact that I've written him as a muse in the past

Ikki -Amnesia: Memories

With Ikki's route being my second favorite from the game, it felt like a crime not to give him a spot somewhere in this list--

Both Snow and Grim earn a spot here because aside from loving the cast of this manga in general, these two still win extra points for the fact that I adore their personalities lol

2) my three favorite characters and why I love them so much:

I should preface this by thanking you for my most recent microcrisis, AKA the abrupt realization that somehow, somewhere along the line... the Theatre Kid Agenda™ has discreetly overtaken my top 3 list.

Speaking of the list:

1- You thought this would be Yuuya, but as it turns out... it's Yuuya! lol.

I'd go ahead and wax the usual poetry about the layers and symbols and all that jazz, but you've already seen me gush about that several times over, so I'll just focus on the babyboy factor for once instead. Yuuya may not have wet kitten energy even at his angstiest, but he sure is a sunshine bean of debatable genuity, and that's just as adoptable!

Looking at him alone is enough to make me want to offer comfort ok. I'm stuffing him in a blanket burrito and shipping him off to my place for a long, long break and some overdue therapy. We can cope with life together, cry a little, cry a lot, bake sweets to recuperate, melt into happy little puddles after a good treat, and then nerd out about theatrics and play a few duels to test silly strategies! This kid is my Son and he deserves all the best things in the world, so for every bit of pain he goes through I'm giving him a truckload of comfort.

2- You may have noticed this in ARC-V Month, you may have picked up on it through my sporadic, scattered mentions of the guy, but if not, then here's a fun fact: I have more than one ARC-V blorbo.

Introducing the central piece of a great many of my conflicted thoughts, confused feelings, paradoxical opinions, abrupt perception shifts, and eventual (semi-)begrudging affection that had me questioning my taste in pixels for like a whole year:

...Zarc.

I've known this fucker for 5 years, hated him for a solid 3, and then woke up one winter day in 2023 and realized that oh shit, he managed to land himself a spot in blorbo tier. Is this what people mean when they say a character grew on them? Were my feelings playing the most long-winded joke on my mind for 4 years? Trust me, I don't know. What I do know is that maining his deck was definitely an endearing factor, and so was the 3rd ARC-V watch (this is where I started uncovering most of the easter eggs I know about the show, so perhaps the build-up made me a touch biased over time, but I genuinely found the 136-139 marathon more entertaining than annoying for once. We speak not of 140).

TL;DR: I think the lettuce clown is neat. Past me would have a stroke if I told her I'm a Zarc apologist now tho.

3- Super Duper Ultra Hyper Extra Mega- ok I'll stop now.

Sawatari is actually the one surprise in this list to me because, huh, I didn't realize how much I liked him over other nearly as cool characters until I put them side by side and pondered who brings me more joy when on-screen. I thought 3rd place would be someone like Yuugo, maybe Serena, but it seems I've taken a spontaneous shine to the banana peel?

See, Shingo's character may be on the simpler side by virtue of being the... designated comic relief, but that simplicity is part of his charm! The mix of charismatic and pathetic aura is a also rare thing, you know- It's not easy to be so cool and cringe at the same time and make it feel natural. That takes skill.

And speaking of skill, Shingo has my respect for always putting up a good fight, even in the games he loses to all sorts of jobber bullshit. He's a genuinely good duelist and a great entertainer, and I love that for him!

10) how many fics I've read that are set in it (approximately and making exaggerated guesstimates):

Guesstimate: Around a thousand. I've been around the fandom long enough to read all sorts of fics on ff.net and Ao3 (among other sites), and it sure feels like I've seen a lot, looking back.

Actual number: Approximately 600, rounding down. On Ao3 alone. Huh, I was expecting the number to be like, 200, so this is not too far off, actually! Maybe the reason the fic count feels higher than it is because the memorable reads tend to be REALLY long multichapters. Why are these so common in the ARC-V tag, by the way? Is it the allure of crossovers? The canon divergence AUs?

(The answer is both, and a few other factors as well. Good for us, I say! Longfics are a serious test of commitment, and I'm glad to see and follow so many talented and dedicated authors!)

Sims 2 BACC Rules (Maplewood 2 Edition)

Hi :) I'm not the best with explaining things, so apologies in advance if parts of these rules are jumbled around, but I wanted to have one specific rule set to link people to while I’m streaming the Build a City Challenge. I basically took rule sets from a bunch of other players and then tailored it to fit my personal gameplay preferences. Credits to: Katatty,  Kahlena's sims, deedee-sims, PleasantSims and Didily's Sims.

The basic goal of this challenge is to start an empty hood with a bunch of settlers and have them work together to build the town from the ground up. Careers and promotions are limited and the buy catalog is (mostly) off limits. Example: if your sim needs a fire alarm, they will need to purchase one from the Fire Station. Need an easel? Better have a sim open an arts and crafts store! This goes on and on and over time, as your sims open more businesses, you create and move more sims into the hood. You may choose to use the Monique Hacked Computers to allow your sims to take out a loan to open their business. 

My end goals are to just grow the population as much as I can, try to unlock every career and subhood, and have fun! I don't use a points system and I keep the tax collecting simplified because I get easily overwhelmed and hate math (lol), but if you want to add the extra challenge, you are free to do so.

Keep reading for LOTS of info, rules, ideas, and mod suggestions :)

Start with creating a new custom hood completely empty of any townies (I actually didn't do this for Maplewood 2 because I didn't know how to at the time and didn't feel like starting over...Oops). It's not a huge game-breaking mistake, in my opinion, but if you really want your neighborhood to be devoid of ANY townies and only want the Sims you make yourself to appear, then I would suggest looking into this tutorial on Creating a Clean Neighborhood and downloading the No Townie Regen hack (The link will take you to an overwhelmingly long list, but it's alphabetical so just scroll down until you find NoTownieRegen.zip).

If you're like me and don't really care if randos show up in your game, then ignore all of that. The worst thing that will happen is a bunch of townies will be wandering around the hood, which sort of breaks the immersion that you're only playing a few pioneers on an empty land. I just ignore the game-generated Sims and made my own eligible townies in CAS. Also be sure not to add any Vacation, Downtown, University, or Business subhoods to the town - these will be unlocked down the road!

ROTATIONS Since this challenge revolves around rotational play, you will play each household for a total of one season before moving onto the next household. I like for my seasonal order to be: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. You can choose whichever order you like, but make sure you play each household for the same amount of days. To make this easier for me to keep track of, I use a mod that allows you to change how many days are in a season. I personally set this so that a season is 7 days long, the length of a full week. This way, when I start to play a household on Monday, I will know that the following Monday will be time to move on to the next household in the rotation and the new season will begin at the start of the next round. (For some reason, the idea of ending a rotation in the middle of another season confuses me.) You can get the Seasons and Weather Controller here.

I also recommend getting the Day Setter, just in case your days get messed up somehow and you need to change them. Mainly just a precautionary mod.

TAX SYSTEM Some players do the tax system differently with points or percentages. I personally prefer this simpler method of dividing households into separate tiers based on which class they fall into according to their family funds (determined by what their net worth is from the neighborhood view). I got these rules from Katatty:

Upper Class (net worth $100,000+)

Middle Class (net worth $50,000-$99,000)

Lower Class (net worth $25,000-$49,000)

Poverty (net worth below $25,000)

Each tier earns the city tax per week based on the number of sims in that household:

Upper Class: $1,000/Sim

Middle Class: $500/Sim

Lower Class: $250/Sim

Poverty: $100/Sim

Taxes are paid on the last day of the played week to the Mayor, who manages the town’s funds. I use the money order mod to directly send the money between households. I play my Mayor household first in the rotations.

POPULATION Like I mentioned before, I’m not really good at keeping up with an elaborate points system to keep track of the population. Instead, my rules for adding more sims to the town will be:

Every new community lot: 1 Townie (5 community lots = 5 Townies wandering the hood as potential partners for your founders)

Every 5 businesses opened: 1 New CAS Sim (15 businesses = 3 NEW CAS Sims that will be playable households added to the rotation)

A sim reaches the top of a career track: 2 Townies

A Subhood Connection is unlocked: 5 Townies + 1 New CAS Sim

Keep in mind, these rules might be changed or tweaked over time as I get into my BACC and see what works!
