Y'all I am crying over Derry Girls. It's so freaking great and I just watched it all for the first time and oh my God. Like the girlhood and the dancing and the bad news on tv and the parties and the bombing and the choices. Friendgroups and stupid teenagers and a government that doesn't care. The fact that James is the one who films everything, and Michelle loves them so much but gets them in so much trouble, and Clare freaks out and works hard at school and drives across country to be with them when it's important, and Orla just being lovably weird, and Erin piping up with even stupider ideas but also amazing ideas sometimes and the only way they can figure out which it is is by trying it. And growing up and turning eighteen and having to leave behind the people that made you. And the bloody letter getting to Chelsea and oh my God they're such kids and you know they aren't anymore. Holy shit.
