cw:  jjk manga spoilers, fluff
satoru bounces a baby on his knee. his baby. he holds her under the arms, smiling down at the precious girl as she giggles incoherently each time his heel finds contact with the floor again. you can see where his hands meet your child’s under arms, holding her steady as he takes her from knee to knee.
you don’t think satoru knows you’re watching. it’s not because of anything in particular that he’s doing, but you don’t think he’s realized yet that you’re looking. satoru’s smiling like there’s no one else in the world. his grin shakes slightly with his nerves, like he’ll never quite get used to being a father. his eyebrows, knit together in the center with his adoration and his worries, betray an unfamiliar sense of parental nerves, like satoru can’t quite comprehend how he could love something so little as much as he does.
you can hear him talk in a low voice to his daughter as she steadily grows sleepier. she’s tuckered out, tired from giggling so much and the cry she had earlier about something that startled her. satoru though, continues to mumble in a quite voice as he leans her forward and places her head on his chest.
he sits back in the chair so that she’ll be more comfortable, mumbling while the precious little thing dozes off against him. you can’t make out what he’s saying, but you can briefly see the way his lips form around the word for love and then, the way they form repeatedly around the name of your daughter. it looks like he’s repeating it, just saying it softly to her as she’s lulled into a sleepy babble by the rise and fall of his chest.
it’s interesting to see satoru like this, so gentle with affection. satoru, as a person, is deceptively confident but there’s an incredible and unavoidable vulnerability in venturing into parenthood for the first time together. despite that, despite the vulnerability that you know he struggles with, he’s been so good about it. satoru takes the initiative when you seem too exhausted to get up from bed in the dead of night, lulling your child to sleep with hushed whispers or little hums. he steels his nerves when you feel your yours might crush you. still, this vulnerability is both foreign and special.
“hey,” you walk up to him, “she get sleepy?”
satoru nods a little, briefly glancing up at you and then back down to the face of his daughter, whose little mouth has fallen open.
“look,” he whispers, pulling you by the wrist around to the other side of the chair and having your crouch in front of your daughter’s face. “she’s drooling.”
he says it with so much awe that you’d think he said she was glowing.
you tilt your head and see that he’s right. at the corner of your child’s mouth, a small sheen of spit begins to seep into satoru’s t-shirt. you find yourself laughing, looking fondly at the little mess she’s creating.
she looks like her dad. it’s undeniable. though she has your hair and eye color, your daughter’s features are so like her father’s. her eyes are the same shape and her nose, though slightly upturned with how little she is, is his. you can see him in her. even in sleep, her expression is much like satoru’s. even her personality, which has begun to shine through the senseless baby babbling, reminds you of satoru and you can only imagine the trouble they’ll get into when she’s old enough to walk and talk. in your head, you apologize to nanami for duplicating satoru into female form. though you’re sure that wherever he’s watching from, he’s forgiven you both.
“haha, gross,” satoru adds, his chest jostling the baby who is now dead to the world.
“satoru,” you chide, furrowing your brows at him.
he only turns to you and shrugs a little bit, his cheeks pink with a flush like he’s just realized again that he’s a dad and that this child is half of him. you smile at him a little, reaching up to touch the soft hair at your daughter’s temple. she’s so little. she is so small that you find yourself aching and it seems that satoru feels it too, taking a shaky breath in and then exhaling.
---
the windows in the car are down. suguru is driving, shoko is in the front seat. the music from the front comes blaring through the speakers, making its way in steady pulses to the back of the car where you and satoru sit. you can’t hear what shoko and suguru are saying and they can’t hear what you and satoru or saying.
you can feel the steady whip of the wind on your face as suguru speeds down the near empty highway and into a tunnel lit with glowing yellow-orange lights. the sound of it changes when you go in, air taking on a hollow tone that feels thick against the inside of your ears. it thunders, threatening to drown out the music in a sound you attribute solely to nights like these.
you don’t particularly know where suguru is driving to. he’s just driving and the three of you are happy to tag along.
you stick your head out of the car window, feeling the way your hair shifts across your forehead and smiling into the push of air against your cheeks. in the sideview mirror, you can see suguru, whose face lights up with a content smile as he spots you in it.
satoru is beside you, his black sunglasses hanging low on the bridge of his nose and his arm positioned out of the car window beside him. his hand rests evenly across your thigh, possessive and present.
this memory is a precious one. before suguru defected, before satoru met toji fushiguro. you and satoru were both more finicky back then, afraid of the commitment that comes with being in love but too prideful to give up entirely on the feelings you had for each other.
satoru leans over toward the middle seat and the motion beckons you closer. you pull your head from the window, leaning in as well to hear what he’s saying over the sound of the air rushing past the car windows and the music.
“do you-” a rush of air steals the middle of the sound. “-ids?”
“huh?” you call, leaning in closer and scrunching your face up.
“i asked if you think you’ll ever have kids,” satoru clarifies, calling a little louder so that you can hear.
you jerk your head to look at him, furrowing your eyebrows. he looks oddly inquisitive, like the energy of the night as brought out some hidden vulnerability in him.
“the hell are you asking me that right now for?” you laugh a little.
satoru shrugs, leaning close by your ear.
“i’m just wondering,” he smiles a little, lopsided and dangerously confident in the way satoru was then, like he’s wearing a mask.
you think on it for a moment before shaking your head. “i don’t know! probably not! depends if i live that long, i guess.”
you laugh off the bleakness of the statement and satoru nods, rolling his eyes. you see the flash of blue as he does over the rim of his glasses and jostle him a little with your arm in response.
he starts to lean back towards the window, but you catch him before he can.
“what about you?”
satoru looks at you for a moment, his face unreadable. you can see his eyes over the rim of his glasses, turning over the possibility and responsibility of children. he thinks on it, before his lips quirk up into a little smile. whatever expression of thought he wore before fades away as it shifts into one of smooth confidence.
“nah,” he breathes, sinking deeper into the seat and tilting his head up, “never.”
then, he reaches over and takes your hand in his, turning his head to look back of the window again. satoru’s fingers interlace with yours and he offers them one little squeeze without turning to look at you. briefly, you wonder about what he’s thinking in the seat beside you. you wonder if he’s thinking about the future, about one with you, despite his reluctance to admit real feelings for you at this point.
you turn away, still gripping his hand, back toward the air whipping past the car window. you feel it on your forehead and on your arms, raising goosebumps. the music, blares from the speakers, flooding the back from the front seat of the car where shoko and suguru sit oblivious. the world in the front of the car is separate from the one in the back. for now, you and satoru exist in a bubble. maybe you always have.
---
“she’s so beautiful,” he mutter, running his finger down the bridge of her little nose.
“she looks like you,” you say softly, crouching beside him.
satoru turns to you, eyebrows raised like he’s shocked to hear it.
“you think?”
“mhm,” you hum, nodding your head a little.
satoru’s face flushes and you see the way his chest catches a little as he looks back down at the baby perched on his chest. then, she rouses, woken up but the disruption in satoru’s breathing.
she blinks sleep away, bleary and tired, and satoru immediately croons at her. he tilts his head gently as she rolls hers over his chest to look at him, leaving behind the little wet spot where she’d previously been drooling.
she hasn’t been asleep long, only a few minutes, and you suspect from her face that she’ll go back to sleep soon, maybe in 20 minutes and probably in the same position she was in before.
satoru reaches up to touch the wisps of hair by her ear.
“hey,” he says lightly, “you drool when you sleep, did you know?”
your daughter just blinks at him, listening to his voice but not registering what he’s said. she babbles sleepily and turns to look at you, peering at you with satoru’s eyes had he not been born with the six eyes.
“do you want to go to bed?” he asks her, shifting his arm under her to stand up from the loveseat he’s in, “i bet you do, let’s go to bed.”
you watch as he gathers her into his arms and lets her little head rest on his collarbone. satoru mumbles to her the entire walk to her room, saying little things without much meaning as the child begins to doze off again on his shoulder.
you watch him walk away, smiling when he tosses you an elated but slightly nervous expression that he’s been wearing often lately.
his soft voice recedes and you think briefly about his answer in the car that night when the music was playing loud and the air against the car windows thundered as you sped through the tunnel. it’s hard to believe that you are the same people you were then. it’s hard to have thought to guess where you’d end up or who you would both become. the things about you that never changed and the things that could have never stayed the same. still, you think about his answer then—a lie now—and thank the universe for the afterglow.

Alright it's time for PART TWO OF MY ONE PIECE OPENING ANALYSIS. Turns out you can only add 30 images to a post lol.
Anyways you can find part one here, but if you've already seen it or just want to skip to the good shit, Hi. I'm anime only but have seen manga spoilers for Kid, Law, Kuma, and Bonney, so that will affect my analysis.
Tumblr media
Anyways remember last time when I talked a bit about the line "When random contexts / Start to make sense on their own" and the deliberate parallels between the fights with Luffy/Lucci, Kid/(manga spoilers), Law/Blackbeard, Zoro/Seraphim Mihawk, and Garp/Kuzan? Well those continue here except it's Sabo and the Revolutionaries against the ENTIRE WORLD GOVERNMENT. These random contexts? They're all tied to the fight Sabo is in right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"When random contexts / Start to make sense on their own / The threads of time are spun back together"
This sequence of shots gives me chills every time. Every single time. The parallels between the Revolutionary Army's crows and the World Government's seagulls? The falling papers and books. Fucking Wapol??? The FUNERAL???? and the SWORDS??? God if those swords in front of the world government's throne DON'T end up being used to stab someone by the end of this story (either in the past or future or maybe both) I will eat my shirt this is CHECKOV'S SWORD THIS GOVERNMENT WAS FOUNDED ON VIOLENCE AND CONQUEST I SWEAR-
*ahem* Anyways. "The threads of time are spun back together." All of those "random contexts" we saw before? The fights that are paralleling each other and driving towards a single end point? To stick with the string metaphor, the world government has unraveled the thread of history. Everything happening now is going to spin it back together into a cohesive narrative. Time is running out. The end is in sight. Their string is going to be cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again with the parallels. All of the men who Luffy impacted in the past, Sabo, Kid, Law, and Coby. They're all rising to take on this enemy. They have been beaten, but they will rise again, and they will charge forward into the future (at least, that's how I read the storytelling here). I think this theme of rising from major defeats is going to be a huge one in this arc, especially for these four. They are going to get stronger and be Luffy's competition. The Whitebeard and Garp to his Rodger, if you will.
Also, speaking of the men who Luffy impacted, HOLY SHIT IS THAT VIVI
Tumblr media
Law, Coby, Kid, and Sabo may all be rising from defeat, but you know who's charging forward? VIVI. Vivi is going to be so fucking important this arc just you wait.
Tumblr media
And listen- I saw a theory a few weeks ago that Vivi *might* eat a certain devil fruit that I will not name because (manga spoilers), but looking at this picture, with the way she's reaching out towards that specific shape? Yeah she's totally gonna eat that devil fruit. Wish I could link the theory but unfortunately it's deep in my youtube watch history by now and i didn't save it.
EDIT: As a couple people have pointed out, it might be Bonney in that scene and not Vivi, as indicated by the pink highlights on the hair. That honestly makes a lot more sense than Vivi eating a random(ish) devil fruit.
Tumblr media
Finally, I want to talk about this last shot. The Theme of this opening. All of these separate, winding paths, leading towards one final destination: Laugh Tale. The truth of the world. Law, Kid, Luffy, Sabo, The Revolutionaries, the Marines, Coby, Garp, the World Government, everyone is on the path to Laugh Tale, we're in the endgame now, and everyone is going to be vital to whatever lies ahead. I imagine some of the poetry is lost in the english translation, but there's a reason that the music keeps repeating the words "all of us"
"All of us" are going to reach Laugh Tale.

#TBH would love to see your opinion on akane getting the star eyes#other than just ‘she’s copying ai’ bc I think that’s a bit of a cop out#sure i think she highly empathizes with ai#but I think there’s more too it but idk how to put it in words
Thank you so much for bringing this up @verimin because this is another thing I see a lot and I just. don't. get it!
We see Akane acting as Ai twice in the manga. The first time she does it because she needs to put on a role, and the girls suggest she act as Aqua's ideal woman.
Tumblr media
That's it, that's all there is to it. Akane was just playing a role.
The second time is, again, all about playing a role. She is auditioning to play Ai, so she obviously acts as Ai.
Tumblr media
These are by no means the only instances where we have seen Akane with the star eyes though.
Tumblr media
(Spoilers for the entire manga below the cut!)
Whenever she becomes one with the character she is playing, she gets the starry eyes.
Tumblr media
This is also the case for these two instances:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
In both cases here, Akane is channeling the emotions of a character that she has made her own. She is empathizing with Ai to the point that she feels her emotions, but it's only because she constructed Ai's profile and character so thoroughly in her mind.
Tumblr media
So basically, it's once again about acting.
This one instance could be the only outlier, but it actually fits the same pattern.
Tumblr media
Her experience during Love Now taught her that she needs to play a role in front of the camera to protect herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before Love Now, Akane was always just herself in front of the camera and that almost killed her. Now, she knows better than to show her vulnerability.
Tumblr media
So instead of showing how nervous she is, she acts collected.
Tumblr media
And so, since she is still acting, she gets the star eyes.
Tumblr media
It's not that Akane is imitating Ai, it's that what she went through during Love Now changed her. She didn't only learn to lie in front of the camera, she also gained the confidence to do the kind of acting that commands all the attention to herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So you could say that doing a psychological analysis of Ai made some of Ai's confidence and her ability to tell convincing lies rub-off on her, but that's about it.
Besides, while it may have contributed to bringing her out of her shell, the fact that Akane is able to pull it off so effortlessly shows she was born with it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All in all, saying that Akane is copying Ai makes no sense because we can clearly see Akane do a 180° whenever she plays her lol

What do you think of fanon Gojo/Megumi being presented as dad/son and canon Gojo/Megumi being presented as benefactor/student and Gojo saying he could kill Megumi because he looked like Toji and everything? What's your opinion on how Gege writes them?

HOW DO YOU VIEW GOJO & MEGUMI?

FATHER/SON DYNAMIC
Why it appeals to the fandom (the desire for fanon dynamics)
Found family in JJK
Why it appeals to the fandom
Narrative Potential: The father/son dynamic often comes with built-in narrative potential. It can be used to explore character growth, conflicts, and resolutions, providing opportunities for interesting and engaging story arcs in fanfiction.
Protective Instincts: Fans may enjoy the idea of Gojo taking on a protective and guiding role in Megumi's life, especially given the dangers and challenges the characters face in the world of JJK. This can evoke feelings of warmth and support in the fanbase.
Fan Creativity: Fandom often involves creative expression, and fans may enjoy exploring and expanding upon the relationships between characters through fanfiction, fan art, and other fan-created content. The father/son dynamic can serve as a rich source of inspiration for creative works—especially for those who enjoy the 'found family' trope.
Sense of Belonging: Fans sometimes enjoy the sense of belonging and community that comes with shared interpretations of characters and relationships. A significant portion of the fanbase embraces the idea of a father/son dynamic between Megumi and Gojo, so it can contribute to a sense of shared enthusiasm and connection among fans.
It's worth noting that these interpretations are fan-driven and not necessarily reflective of the creator's original intentions. The beauty of fandom lies in the diverse ways individuals engage with and interpret the source material.
Tumblr media
Found family in JJK
Arguably one of the most major thematic features that Gege explores in JJK is the idea of "family". While I could make a completely separate post and write essays on this subject, we’re here to talk about found family specifically. Let’s look at three examples:
Itadori and Todo: While Todo’s affection for Itadori may have a scantly accurate origin (as it is revealed that Todo’s mind created some false memories of shared time between them during middle school), it is undeniably true that both characters share a strong bond. Todo is more boisterous and unconventional, while Itadori is pragmatic and initially sceptical of Todo's methods. Their friendship evolves despite these differences, echoing the found family trope where individuals with diverse backgrounds find a strong connection.
During Todo and Itadori’s fight with Hanami during the Kyoto Sister-School Exchange Event Arc, we repeatedly see Todo refer to Itadori as “my brother” (<- at least the VA does in the anime, from what I remember) and his “best friend” until Itadori eventually adopts these, too. Both characters learn to adapt to the other as they fight, and comfortably find a rhythm to fight against Hanami with—yes, both are skilled fighters, but is unlikely that they could fight so seamlessly together unless there was some deeper connection.
Additionally, during Itadori and Todo’s fight against Mahito during the Shibuya Arc, we see that Todo carries a locket on his person with his favourite idol photographed on one side, and on the other, Itadori. His two favourite people. Cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getou, Nanako, and Mimiko: These three are probably the clearest example of found family in JJK. After massacrering a village of non-sorcerers and sparing Mimiko and Nanako, Getou adopts them into his “family” (his cult) and treats both girls like his adopted daughters. Nanako and Mimiko are the first members of Getou’s “family” that we see he chooses after rejecting (and murdering) his parents.
Long after Getou has passed, we still see his cult honouring his “family legacy” during the Shibuya Arc. The girls even attempt to bargain with Sukuna after he was re-possesed Itadori’s body to kill Kenjaku—they are enraged that Getou’s body is being puppeted about by Kenjaku. To try and attempt bargaining with Sukuna, The King of Curses, is a clear example of how dearly the girls were devoted to Getou—even if their “family” was fucked up.
Fun fact! Gege has referred to him as "Papa Getou" on several occasions.
Tumblr media
Tsumiki and Megumi: The most overlooked example of found family by the fandom, by far. In elementary school, their parents disappeared without a trace, leaving the two children to look after themselves. We’re shown in flashbacks that Tsumiki and Megumi attended the same middle school, where she often scolded Megumi for getting into fights—she even throws her milk box at his head, which is peak big-sister behaviour lol.
At such young ages, both children were left by their parents to care for one another while Gojo acted as Megumi’s benefactor—on the condition that Megumi would do what he could to become strong and then attend Jujutsu Tech to become a sorcerer, once of age. Megumi did not accept this proposition because he respected Gojo or trusted Gojo as an “adult” figure, but only because he was assured that Tsumiki would be miserable if the alternative were to happen—that is, if he were adopted by the Zen’in Clan.
Tumblr media
It’s important to distinguish that Megumi did not seek the company, reassurance, or protection of an adult (like Gojo—if we can even call Gojo that, in this instance) because he had been disappointed and abandoned by adults so many times in the past. His priority was Tsumiki and her happiness—regardless of his own personal cost, even safety. Gojo was likely to be viewed by Megumi, at such a young age, as more of a business partner who only later grows in to a mentor figure.

BENEFACTOR/STUDENT
Why the father/son dynamic and found family trope do not apply to Gojo and Megumi
The issues with applying the father/son dynamic and found family trope to Gojo and Megumi
How should we view them?
Tumblr media
Why the father/son dynamic and found family trope do not apply to Gojo and Megumi
From what I have gathered, there are two main reasons:
Megumi does not want to rely on adults: Whether it be for the sake of Tsumiki’s happiness or otherwise, Megumi wants to be self-sufficient and strong enough by himself that he can secure a future he wants. Naturally, he cannot do this by himself, so he begrudgingly learns how—even learning in the future that he can rely on his classmates.
The key difference is that Megumi chooses these people with great care. Megumi, by force of circumstance, agrees to Gojo’s deal; Megumi, by force of will, agrees to let Gojo mentor him and looks to him for guidance, acknowledging that he does need Gojo’s help—but he does not choose Gojo.
Far too much has happened to Megumi for him to choose Gojo.
Gojo primarily sees Megumi as raw potential: Having just successfully fought Toji after nearly being killed by him, Gojo’s interest in Megumi likely lies in a few places. How strong would the child of Fushiguro Toji be? What could make that child stronger?
Speaking purely in terms of clan politics, in Gojo’s position it would understandably be the most beneficial to have the child of someone so strong on his side, rather than as an opponent. If Megumi was taken in by the Zen’in Clan—who do not get along with the Gojo Clan because of some shared history*—Gojo and his clan could have potentially been under some threat. It’s better to have the insurance rather than risk.
*A Ten Shadows user from the Zen’in and a sorcerer with the Six Eyes + Limitless fought and both were killed by the other
Gojo’s main interest is strength, and using strength to define a future he wants—that is, a future where Jujutsu Society is no longer dictated by corrupt, conservative Higher-Ups. Having just been radicalised by Amanai’s death and Getou’s defection, Gojo is left with a substantial loss of allies that he desperately needs. Megumi, in a way, is a blessing of a solution for Gojo at this point in the story. Megumi has the potential to help shape a future that Gojo wants to live in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The issues with applying the father/son dynamic and found family trope to Gojo and Megumi
It overlooks the family that Megumi does have: More often than not, it very easily brushes past why Toji would leave Mehumi behind and how Tsumiki was left to watch over him. Tsumiki was the primary nurturing force, and Megumi’s kindness is likely to have been taken from her set example.
It (often, not always) mischaracterises Gojo: Gojo is not a warm, nurturing figure in the slightest. He’s cheerful, humorous, but not nurturing. Gojo, for better or worse, casts the Jujutsu World in its most harsh light—strength, survival, and death.
“You die alone.”
There’s more than one way to interpret this:
You die and no one will be sharing your death with you, regardless of how much you loved them or how hard you fought or who you are. There is nothing you can do to change this.
You die and you won’t be there for those you loved. You leave them behind, and they can no longer reach you.
You die and it means that you were never strong enough to protect the ones you loved, because you couldn’t fight alone. The fight, in your case, was just a slow death. You were always weaker, you were always going to die weaker.
You die because you were never strong enough to stand by your loved ones. You needed shielding, and you hid your own weakness behind them. Your weakness is your isolation, your death.
There is no sentimentality. Gojo sees and tells it like it is, regardless of where that leaves Megumi.
Tumblr media
How should we view them?
There is no set way! With the best will in the world, we can all read the same manga panels and take in the same empirical information, and come to very different conclusions and interpretations. I would always suggest gathering as much evidence and justification to support your reasoning, though. If not because you like to debate, but rather to fully understand how and why you came to the conclusion/s you did.
There's no harm in changing your mind or liking more than one way of interpreting their character dynamic.
A/N: If you've read all of my word vomit, then wow. Bravo LMAOOO. I hope you enjoyed my two cents.

Allo Can I be blessed with some Porco headcanons with a female reader whose from Paradise ;;c;; Both fluff angst n smut >~< Thank uu
Porco dating someone from Paradis Island
Porco Galliard Headcanon
Warnings: NSFW Content
ALSO SPOILERS!! IF YOU HAVENT READ THE MANGA!! I REPEAT SPOILERS!!
Tumblr media
when you and porco first met, neither of you knew of the others identity
porco had just gotten back from war and you were there to infiltrate marley for information
in fact, you both seemed to be running from who were supposed to be, just wanting a break from your destinies
this caused you both to somehow end up by the ocean one day, just when the sun was setting
you had been sitting close to the shore, the water lapping at your feet when all of a sudden a voice caught your attention
“hey—! wha—! you’re not supposed to be here!”
not expecting for anyone to actually be down there that time of night, you quickly whipped around with alarm in your eyes
“w-whose there?” you ask nervously, terrified that you were gonna get caught and your cover was gonna be blown
after all, levi had specifically forbid you from wandering off
“the tickle monster— who the hell do you think? no citizens are supposed to—”
when porco finally came into the light and he saw you sitting there, eyes wide as your sundress blew in the wind, he was immediately taken aback
not only were you trespassing, but you were also...different
whether it was your skin, your eyes, or just simply the fact that he had never seen you before, porco was astonished
“i-i’m sorry! please don’t tell! i didn’t mean to, i—”
“hey, hey,” immediately his entire demeanor changed. “don’t worry, i’m not gonna tell. how could i rat out a beautiful lady like yourself?”
from that day forwards, you both were gone
you began to see each other again and again and again, at first just by pure coincidence, but then it soon became intentionally
porco would purposely seek out the pretty girl wearing pretty dresses, and you’d sometimes linger in the marketplace to see if he’d be there
it wasn’t long before you two began hanging out
porco asked to accompany to the beach again and since he was a high ranking eldian he was allowed there
of course, he didn’t tell you that
both of you kept your identies a firm secret, but neither of you knew
you just thought that maybe he was a high ranking soldier and he assumed that you were marleyan bc you didn’t wear an armband
you and porco became extremely close and it wasn’t long before a relationship blossomed
porco was horrible at being romantic, but he tried, he really did try for you
he’d bring you flowers, buy you little things of chocolate bc he knew it was your favorite
he’d try to leave you little love letter in the morning and it’d absolutely melt your heart
he’d spoil you and use his status to take you to the finest restaurants in liberio
sometimes when you were out people would recognize porco, but he’d always keep the interactions brief
when it came to porco, you probably didn’t know much about him
he was kinda closed off, and he wanted to seem strong to you so he never shared much
but that was okay— what he did share was enough for you
when it came to you though, he’d want to know all about you
he could stay up for hours listening to you explain your childhood, leaving out the parts where you were really from
he’d love knowing about you and would hold you close, often falling asleep to your stories
really, porco was a gentle yet protective lover
he could be extremely jealous and it translated into the bedroom
sex with him was rough, with porco being the dominant most of the time
he loved to mark you and degrade you, wanting you to scream out who exactly you belonged to
he’d pound you into the mattress and tell you what a good little slut you were and then he’d make you cum all over him
afterwards, he’s not much for aftercare lol but at least he’d hold you?
if he fell for you quickly then he’d probably introduce you to pieck
and she would LOVE you, thinking how it was cute that porco was so mean to everybody else but so soft around his girl
he likes touching you, that’s for sure
always has an arm slung around you
in all honesty, he’d be an amazing boyfriend and uwu but you know it’s not gonna last...
technically, you and porco were doomed from the start
he was lying to you about who he was, liking the fact that you loved him, not the jaw titan, ‘marley hero.’
you were lying to him, not even from marley and an island devil that they seemed to hate
your love came to a boiling point, eventually
when you both found out who the other truly was, both you and porco were shocked— like hella shocked
you were on the battlefield, defending eren when all of a sudden you spotted porco and pieck from up above
you wanted to scream and abandon everything right then and there, to tell them both to get the hell out of there
but then,,, porco looked up and saw you using ODM gear, wearing the same suit as the people attacking marley
his eyes widened, not even believing it as betrayal and anger seeped through his veins
“y/n!”
you’d be so terrified to face him
you’d probably break down crying and explain that you hadn’t meant for it to be this way— you didn’t mean to lie and yes, you truly did love porco
but then,,, you’d be exposed to his own little secret
as marley soliders began shooting at you, yelling at you to get away from the warriors, porco would suddenly scoop you up and transform to shield you from their bullets
everybody, including your comrades, was absolutely dumbfounded to see him throw you on his back and run away with you
and you’d be literally frozen, not even believing this was happening
“what...the...fuck...”
porco kept you safe during the entire battle, up until he decided to take eren on
you couldn’t lie, even though your relationship was probably gonna be in shambles after that it hurt so bad to see him just laying there, not even knowing if he was alive
you tried to find out, you tried to go towards him and yank him out of his titan but jean swooped in and tackled you at the last second
you were a crying mess but he held you, kicking and screaming and all, not letting go until you were safely on the plane
“jean, please! you guys don’t understand — i have to go back! i have to see—!”
“i’m sorry, y/n, but this is for the best. you have to let go, you may never see him again.”
for the next few months, or years that you were separated from porco, you’d be a hollow mess
It’d take some time for you to forgive him, and him you
for the longest he stayed on marley, bitter and cursing your name
cursing himself for falling in love with an island devil
he hated you, he wanted to kill you...only...he didn’t
deep down porco knew that he still loved you
and he carried that love everywhere with him, even if it tore him apart inside
he was stuck between wanting to be in your arms again and wanting to be loyal to marley
after finding out where you were from, he’d have so much rage and so many questions
you were a devil, yes, but...were you?
you were so sweet and compassionate and kind...how could you be?
you were the exact opposite of what porco had been taught
you weren’t a devil...marley had lied
they had lied and filled him with all this hatred for people he didn’t even know
it infuriated him, and it saddened him that he couldn’t be with you all because he was brainwashed
for the time that you were apart, porco was a mess
he hardly looked alive anymore, only thinking about you day and day out
he longed for the day he’d see you again
and when he did—
all hell was breaking loose, AGAIN
marley was declaring war on paradis
there were people everywhere, titans ranging about, eren being...eren
you of course were on the front lies, just trying to survive when you suddenly spotted him
could it be? no...
you didn’t wanna believe it at first
you couldn’t
you only stared at porco’s scrunched up face in shock, not moving despite that being incredibly dangerous
likewise, porco was shocked to see you there, alive and once again fighting for paradis
it felt just like the first time, but this time you both had months to prepare your words
and the first thing you said to each other?
“i’m sorry.”
the words shocked both you and porco even further, but it felt...right
“y/n...i’m so sorry i—”
“please, pock i should be the one to apologize. i lied, i know i did. but i—”
“i lied too. we both did. guess that’s why we were made for each other,” porco chuckled humorously, you nodding in agreement
for a moment, you both just stood there looking at each other
but then, months of tension boiled over and finally you just kissed, in the middle of the battlefield
“uh, guys? that’s romantic and all but FUCKING FOCUS WILL YOU?”
porco promises he’ll find you after the battle
and what do you know, he keeps his promise and after that you guys live happily ever after the manga doesn’t exist

HEADCANONS + GOJO SATORU || onii-chan
note: this was a few ideas given to me by my beloved 🌸Anon - a bunch of new gojotwins!au headcanons c: this one is a little different compared to my other story, so this is a stand alone one. might turn it into a series if it gets enough love, but we’ll see~ you can read the original ask here!
pronouns: she/her
note: mentions of blood and death and spoilers for volume 8 & 9 of the manga. SUPER LONG by the way lol
gojotwins!au masterlist
Tumblr media
twins have always been viewed as a bad omen for the parents - there are high chances of both twins developing no Cursed Technique at all, or have a Cursed Technique that is not desirable. So there had been no hope when one of the wives from the main family of the gojo clan was pregnant, and from what they can tell with twins at that
so it was a huge surprise to not only the elders but the entire jujutsu world when not one, but both of the twins were born with the coveted Six Eyes - something that had never happened in the history of the gojo clan. it was a moment to be celebrated!
if only they knew just what was lies ahead
much to the delight of the elders, the older one of the twins was the boy, satoru, while the girl was born 20 minutes after - it wouldn’t have mattered if it was the other way around, but just having the young boy being the one born first was definitely the icing on the cake
both of you were an absolute headache to deal with, causing so much chaos and mayhem that the elders had wondered if they should have celebrated at the idea of having two Six Eyes users under the same house was a good thing
the both of you trained together throughout your younger years, with satoru becoming super overprotective even though you were twins - he understood from a young age that the both of you were starting at different levels of footing because of your gender
yes, you are a girl - but at 7 years old you had exorcise a Grade-Two Curse by yourself with no more than an annoyed click of your tongue and a snap of your fingers, walking away whilst whining about how it got your favourite dress dirty
with that being said though, he loves to tease you are still the younger one between the both of you, and had teased you about how you should refer to him as ‘onii-chan’ instead of his first name
“come on, Y/N~ it’s a sign of respect~”
“i am going to spend you to outer space one of these days.”
the two of you were already known about the jujutsu world way before you even became old enough to enroll in Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College - you two were even allowed to enter without an interview with the then principal of the school
who would want to waste their time interviewing two highly over qualified teenagers anyway?
the first time you met geto and shoko, they were both intimidated by your sheer presence. the both of them have heard talks about the gojo twins entering their year as a pair
so when they had first met you, standing there in your uniform with your bright blue eyes hiding behind a pair of blacked out sunglasses and an indifferent look on your face - they definitely felt a shiver go through their bodies
however, when they saw your twin brother appearing behind you with the biggest grin, hugging you from behind whilst you scowled and tried to push his head away - they were definitely less intimidated now
“now, now, Y/N-chan, stop being so scary~”
“nii-chan, i am giving you three seconds to let go of me.”
the two of you quite the duo, especially when you two are always pinned against one another with more difficult and more challenging missions compared to when you were under the care of the gojo clan
geto felt less pressure to match up to his friend, since satoru and Y/N are always at each other’s throat - wanting to outmatch the other and one up the other with silly things like Curse head counts and how difficult its level is
with that being said, satoru is very protective of you - if any so much as speaks poorly of you, he would not hesitate to put them in their place
“oya? what makes you think you can speak of my baby sister like that?” satoru had hummed towards the small group of men, who were commenting on how beautiful the young woman was followed by a lot of unsavoury comments.
satoru still sported his casual smile, yet there was a certain air around him that made them shut their mouths up real fast. “mind repeating that? just want to make sure that i have a good enough reason to put your lazy asses six feet underground..”
after that specific incident by the way, satoru had you and your friends out on a little excursion around tokyo - where they just did a bunch of stupid things together to calm down
you can read him like the back of a book though, so when both of your friends went away to browse through some shelves in a video game store, you just wrapped your arms around your brother with a smile. “you know, nii-chan, you don’t need to go about protect my honour. i’m a big girl now.”
he’d just blink down at you before giving you a soft but genuine smile, petting the top of your head with one of his hand while the other was resting inside of his pocket. “if i don’t protect you, who am i going to protect?”
that statement was proven during your second year - a cursed user had overpowered you and shoko and had taken the both of you hostage. the curse user had practically beaten you into a pulp, knowing that you were the stronger one between the two
shoko had been tied up and beaten as well, but you were definitely taking the brunt of his anger - along with being forced to listen about how he was going to sell you to some low life family that had been trying to get you to marry their sorry excuse of a son.
you don’t even remember meeting the father of the boy, who had claimed to visit the gojo clan home a few times now
“you gonna be a good girl for me?” the man had gripped as he gripped your hair in his hands, giving you a smirk whilst you scowled over at him in annoyance, blinking the blood out of your eyes from the wound on the top of your head.
before you can give another snarky answer in reply that will get you another beating, the sound of someone kicking the door in. before either one of you can move, the man suddenly let go of your hair with a pained gasp as someone grabbed his hair and forced his head back, looking up into a pair of glowing blue eyes
“get your filthy hands off my baby sister.”
geto was in charge of taking care of the both of you, leaving the room with a simple reminder to satoru that they needed to bring the man back alive
both of you spending most of your time trying to unlock the many secrets of the Limitless, and how to control it better
during the entire star plasma vessel fiasco, you had stayed by geto’s side. and while you didn’t manage to save rika from being murdered, you had, like gojo, managed to touch the core of cursed energy
toji had ‘killed you’ before he went after geto, yet like satoru, he did not decapitate your head; so you had slowly started to use the reverse curse technique to heal your wounds
so you couldn’t believe satoru’s belief when he found you using reverse cursed technique to heal geto, wrapping you up in his arms while you just smile and hold him as well
the three of you plus shoko had turned to one another for comfort, because along the way you four have grown close to the young girl, and her death really affected all of you
but if there is something bright that came out from this, is that you and your brother had really elevated yourselves to become the strongest duo of the new generation - both pretty much an entire chest above the current active sorcerers
after satoru had calmed down, he had told you about what toji had said to him before his death - about how he has a son that he had planned to sell of to the zen’ins
the two of you went to visit the young boy, discovering that he had an older sister as well; and without hesitation you had taken the both of them under your wing, pulling a few strings behind the scenes while also trying to provide him with as normal as a life as you two could
megumi had viewed you as a mother figure, someone who looked out for him and tsumiki, teaching the two of them life skills like sewing and cooking, making sure they always have warm meals.
you never miss their birthdays either - always making sure to get them either a cake or a small cupcake with a candle on the top to blow out just for the sake of tradition
sure, satoru loves to spoil them too, but he acted more like their chilled older brother - he definitely relies on you more as a parental figure he had lacked for quite a huge part of his childhood
he had remembered how once, when you had made him his favourite curry and rice after a long week, he just sighed and said, “thanks mum,” before he started to eat his meal
at first you froze in shock, and  megumi did too - but before the blushing teen can apologise, you had already wrapped him up in your arms as you just cried your heart out
satoru had teasingly asked him if megumi can call him ‘dad’, to which megumi just scowled and sent his divine dogs after your brother
satoru loves to introduce you two as the ‘strongest duo’ by the way - which makes you super awkward and you hate it with a passion. he wasn’t wrong, but it’s still awkward
“we’re the Gojos - the strongest duo out there.”
“please stop calling us that.”
feel like because you’re there, geto might still be on the path to the light lmao - like mans will be a teacher in school and you three will be dub the ‘idiot trinity’ or some bullshit nickname lol - the three biggest troublemakers in the jujutsu world
yet the three most capable ones as well - absolutely drive the higher ups of the jujutsu world insane
with that being said though - the three of you definitely hashed a plan to change the jujutsu world together. even shoko agrees that there should be some change to the old ways of the jujutsu world; so the four of you decided to sign up to work as teachers at Jujutsu High
the first group of students you took under your wing was the then first years - maki, toge, panda, and eventually yuta when he joined your little class
you are the mother for the students while geto is the responsible dad; satoru is the crazy uncle that is not allowed to supervise the students alone, and shoko is the cool aunt who lets you skip class in her office if you want
all the students have, at one point, just referred to you as ‘mum’ and you had always just accepted that with a soft smile and a pat on the top of their head
even if they are taller than you, they will willingly bend down to your height so you can pet them on the head - even megumi lets you get away with it
when itadori and nobara came into the picture, you had taken them un as your own as well - but you did spend a good 5 minutes laughing with geto at the idea that yuji manages to control sukuna like he is just an annoying imaginary friend in the back of his head that refuses to shut up
you had tried to give them some form of normality and comforts as teenagers, even if many times they were forced into very uncomfortable situations
all in all - it was utter chaos the moment both you and satoru were born. yet it was a miracle nonetheless. many times you prove to the world that your bond is stronger than people think it is, and that you two will go through anything to make sure the other is safe.
you are the younger one, but the more responsible one too. the motherly figure that everyone turned to, even your friends and brother, who needs comfort and a warm meal. yet if provoked, you can become deadly and kill with no hesitation. it’s because of this, both you and your brother are considered as quite the deadly duo; the strongest ones around.

got a little shinarthur role swap au ficlet to leave you guys with that i’ve had sitting in my drafts for like a month!! it’s super rough but enough people enjoyed the bullet-point list that i figured.... well.... i guess it wouldn’t hurt to post more things that i have for this au even though they’re unfinished :’)
basically it’s Arthur’s POV throughout several key moments in the au, honestly could serve as a 3 times Arthur was Shinra’s knight +1 time he was a true knight king lajsfdlkaj
this is how i draft all of my ideas when the mood Hits and i get rolling with things, so it’s a little stream-of-conscious and relies on themes and narrative patterns i have in my head that may not be super clear within this alone, also dialogue is NOT final and needs to be tweaked. JUST IN CASE anyone’s like ‘mm doesn’t feel right’ - dont worry i know
some things to offer a little more background to help make this a little more comprehensible:
- the themes of dark vs light & night vs day & cold vs heat are SO prevalent throughout this au
- Shinra & Arthur’s silent gesture of comfort in this au is going to be a hand against the base of the other’s neck, which starts as how Arthur keeps Haumea’s brainwashing from reaching Shinra again after Sho breaks him free - thinking like wrapping the protection of Arthur’s abilites around the brainstem/spine which is a big part that Haumea’s abilities target
- for those not caught up with the manga, NOT TO WORRY! no spoilers happen here, but i will tell you that two people named Yona and Sumire seem to be the ones that kind of run the white-clad operation outside of Haumea, and that’s literally all you need to know for this
- if it wasn’t clear this is basically a thinly-disguised royalty au lol
_________________________________
-//-//-//-//- fic time now -//-//-//-//-
_________________________________
after Arthur’s parents left Arthur ended up in a convent that the white-clad vetted for members, and the strength and rarity of Arthur’s ability make him a prime candidate for the white-clad to enlist and train up within their ranks
and given that he’s so young at the time, he doesn’t exactly have much of a choice in the matter when they bring him in
he, along with the other newbies brought into the evangelist’s sect wouldn’t be allowed to meet the pillars until they reach a higher standing, but they hear whispers, rumors, and sermons all about them, raising the pillars to the status of princes and princesses with the evangelist herself as their queen
he climbs through the ranks with ease though, until he’s finally assessed under the watchful gaze of Yona and Sumire, and afterword assigned to the fourth pillar’s side. it’s seen as a great honor, something Arthur should be proud to die for. and then Arthur actually meets Shinra, and for once he actually agrees with what he’s been told.
Arthur’s talent for discernment has been trained along with his abilities, and with them he sees the soul that lies within Shinra, buried deep- the soft, brilliant light that betrays the dead look perpetually engraved on his face - a light and salvation more pure than the evangelist could ever promise. he looks at Shinra and sees the true prince of this realm. he declares his fealty to the prince with pride, giving his loyalty and his life solely to the prince.
the higher-ups are happy with the arrangement, unaware that Arthur is being quite literal with his oath.
which means when Sho cracks through all the years of brainwashing to let Shinra’s light shine through, Arthur is there to lay waste to all that would stand against them - standing over the brothers and discharging Haumea’s attempts at reclaiming Shinra (attempts at smothering Shinra’s light again)
which means that Arthur watches over the brothers as company 8 leaves the Nether, a wide smile set perpetually in Arthur’s expression as he watches his prince’s true self finally let out to play. he huffs, satisfied at all the interesting characters that are nearly falling over themselves to meet his prince, and looks on with pride at the clasped hands of the two brothers that are guaranteed not to be separated for the rest of the night
which means when Shinra spills all of the evangelist’s plans and secrets to the 8th, his prince’s entire mission now flipped on its head to fight against the organization they were once (forcibly) loyal to, Arthur offers whatever information he can to assist them as well - tactical arrangements of forces and the strengths and weaknesses of every warrior within the white-class ranks
it’s a learning process for them both, integrating back into society and making new friends when all they’ve known is the structure of isolation and darkness, but Arthur finds he takes quicker to it than Shinra. the people of the 8th are good people, nothing like the white-clad, and he finds conversation comes easy with the lot of them, finds some jokes being made at his expense and others flying right over his head, all of it leading to an ease of others approaching him. despite what the people around Arthur say about him living in a world of his own imagination, he has no illusions as to what his life has been, from the time before his parents left him to their leaving, to his time with the evangelist - and though he once followed their creed, they were never able to sway his spirit
Shinra, on the other hand, who’s very being was smothered, his life bearing schisms in its timeline of who he was, experiences moments of complete overwhelm in the midst of otherwise good times, mental breaks that crack a crooked smile across his face before he hurriedly excuses himself. Sho and Arthur always follow him, Sho asking concerned questions that Shinra tries to placate with a trembling voice, and Arthur following at a distance until Shinra peels away from his brother’s side and shuts himself in his and Arthur’s joint room. Arthur offers his comforts to the younger of the two princes, that Shinra’s not upset that he’s here and he’s not upset with Sho, that he’s just getting used to being a hero again. Sho will inevitably be left still upset, which will lead to a conversation between the two brothers later, but Sho will also inevitably keep his distance while Arthur goes to tend to Shinra.
Shinra, who he finds curled against the wall, hands fisted in his hair and head dropped low - down almost between his knees. Shinra, who attempts to roll his feet onto their outer edges so that their smoldering soles don’t burn holes into the floor. Shinra, who whispers his fears and struggles to Arthur like a confessional, admits to a rage that threatens to drown and possess him, triggered by moments of realizing all that he’s missed in life, all the times he’s missed being there for Sho because of the evangelist, the realization that Sho had to mourn the fabricated death of his family all alone; admits to the fear that Haumea will drag him away and that Sho will have to endure Shinra’s absence all over again. Shinra, his prince, who becomes a devil in the privacy of their room.
Shinra, who looks up at him with shining red eyes when Arthur settles a firm hand over the base of his neck and swears to him that Haumea’s electricity will never touch him again. Shinra, who uncurls his fists from his hair to instead clutch Arthur closer, his own hand findings its way to the base of Arthur’s neck as Arthur directs the spiraling thoughts away from the losses of the past to all that his prince can still save, all the things he can promise Sho for the future. Shinra, who’s breaths mingle heavy with his own when their foreheads meet, as Arthur tempers the despair within the rage into hope-fueled determination. Shinra, who gives himself over to Arthur just as completely as Arthur’s given himself to his prince, trusting Arthur to tame the devil in him.
Shinra, his prince, and the light that will save this world.
Shinra tells him one day, pointedly faced away from him, that Arthur doesn’t have to act like his guardian anymore. He’s his own person, Shinra insists, and he understands if Arthur wants to live a life separate from someone he was ordered to follow.
Arthur calls him an idiot, and Shinra whips around in surprise and indignation (a reaction Arthur has become surprisingly fond of in this true Shinra), and sure enough - hints of a crooked smile linger at the corners of his lips, belaying the nerves that Arthur suspected were present in the request. Nerves that Shinra undoubtedly wanted to hide so as to not sway Arthur’s decision into staying.
Arthur steps close then, makes sure Shinra’s eyes look nowhere other than his own as he tells Shinra that no one ordered him to follow.
Shinra balks, reminds him of the ceremony in which that exact thing happened, and Arthur catches one of those flailing hands in his own, kneeling before his prince.
“I didn’t swear fealty to the fourth pillar of the Evangelist, I swore fealty to you, Shinra Kusakabe.” He knows Shinra must remember that much, how Arthur’s words never quite matched what the white-clad had expected of him. “I didn’t follow you for all these years because Yona and Sumire told me to, I followed you because I believed in the light that you hold within you. As long as that light still shines, I will not leave your side.”
Shinra tugs him back to his feet with an irritated grunt, face flushed and eyes shining, tears held back along with the hope that threatens to leap past their restraints. “I don’t want you to just follow me. If you really want to stay, I want us to be equals.”
Arthur huffs, grinning. “I will always be a knight. But I suppose if we were to wed I would become a king and hold equal standing with you. A knight king.”
Shinra flushes impossibly redder, but a short burst of a laugh escapes him, the hope escaping freely with it. “You’re an idiot.” His tone is as warm as the smile stretching across his face, and it reminds Arthur of watching the sunrise.

Razor x Fem!Reader - Trust
Tumblr media
A/N - I... have been avoiding writing this one, but he and Albedo are the last two before I can finish off the Mondstadt part of this series. Here’s hoping it doesn’t take me as long as the other ones lol
Post writing authors note: only took 2 hours so a lot better than my other ones
Trigger/Content Warnings: Injury, blood mention, slight manga spoilers, kidnapping, human experimentation mention, abusive sibling, food mention
Word Count: 1,552
Request: No
Summary: Ooooh dottore bad... razor good.... its 1am i have school tomorrow pretend this makes sense
---------------------------------------------------------------
You came to him on accident.
You didn’t mean to stumble into the Wolvendom with blood coating your arm and chased by people who thought of you as nothing more than a Harbingers sister. You hadn’t planned on slipping in the mud and watching with fear in your eyes as your pursuers celebrated their victory. How could you of known that the scream that’d fall from your lips would alert a nearby boy?
Electricity remained in the air as he set his weapon down. He turned to you with a blank expression, “...hurt?”
“Who are you? Do you know what you’ve just done?”
“Hurt.” He pointed at your arm. “I fix.” Razor walked over to you and kneeled, carefully grabbing your arm.
“The Fatui! You’ve just... oh Archons, please help me. I’m so sorry, I got you into this mess and now you’ll be in danger, why did I scream?”
“Fa... tui?” He slightly cocked his head to the side.
“T-They’re people who want me back. I... I’m the sister of-”
“Family?”
You shook your head violently, “No! Not family!” You sighed, “I’m the sister of one of the harbingers. P-Please, tell me you haven’t heard of Dottore...”
“Dottore. Dottore bad?”
“Very!”
“You scared Dottore?”
“Yes.”
“Razor protect you from Dottore. Join lupical.”
“Lu...” you echoed, “Are you Razor?”
“Razor is me.”
You looked at the mysterious boy and considered your options; either be found by the fatui and forced to face your brother or... follow the boy who saved your life without knowing you.
“Okay, fine.” You sighed, “I’ll come with you.”
He nodded, “Follow.”
You walked in silence and you noticed kindness in his subtle actions. He would hold branches above your head until you were safely past them or pointed out puddles so you wouldn’t step in them.
Finally, you arrived at an opening. Wolves stalked the exterior, looked at Razor and you, and continued their business.
“Ra... Razor?” You whispered, gripping onto his arm and stepping behind him. “Why did you take me to wolves?”
“Lupical. Family.”
“These are your family?”
“Yes.”
“Okay.” You nodded, drew out your words as you started to regret your decision to trust him. “Wolf... family. Alrighty. Annnd... I’m here now. This is what I’m doing with my life.”
“Lupical protect Razor. Razor protect Lupical. Razor trust you. You smell nice.”
“I’ve been on the run for multiple weeks. There’s no way I smell nice.”
Razor scrunched his eyebrows as he searched for the right word, “You smell... kind. Razor trust you.” He turned to you and tried to manage a smile though it looked more like a ferocious snarl, “You trust Razor?”
And maybe you were just tired but for some reason, you did.
It didn’t take long for you to merge with the rest of the wolf pack, though you couldn’t understand their words you learned their body language.
The pups would run over to you and wouldn’t leave you alone until you pet them behind the ears. You would pick grass and would weave it into a shoddy crown, and each time you gave it to Razor he’d wear it the rest of the day.
Happy. You were happy.
Hunting, flower picking, star gazing. It was simple, but it was the best life you could’ve asked for. A life outside of political intrigue, violence, anger, and human test subjects.
A life where you could smile. A life where your shoulders relaxed. A life where you were trusted and you could trust.
Lupical. Family. You would give anything to keep these peaceful days ongoing.
But, as with every spot of happiness you found, it needed to be crushed.
Crushed by your older brother and the troops he controlled as he tracked down your location. As he demanded they wait until nightfall to grab you by your arm and drag you back into his clutches.
“Scream and they die.” He had said with a smile. You knew better than to doubt him.
“Can I...” you tried to blink the tears out of your eyes, “Can I give them a final goodbye gift?”
Dottore rolled his eyes and waved his hand dismissively. You picked grass, quickly weaved it into a shotty flower crown, and lied it on Razor's chest. And just like that, you were gone.
You were halfway to Liyue by the time Razor realized that you were missing. He gripped the flower crown as if his life depended on it, and tried his best to stay calm. To breathe.
His Lupical were quicker to pick up on your disappearance, they whined and hounded him until he finally picked up on it.
What was he going to do? You trusted him and you’re gone. Razor hadn’t felt this awful since part of his Lupical died in front of him. He didn’t spend much time grieving, however, he dropped right onto your scent.
You walked next to your brother, your eyes locked onto the ground, you were surrounded by trees and there was a cliff behind you.
“Why, (Y/N), you gave us quite a scare!” He chuckled after hours of pure silence, “3 months and no message. I almost began to think the worst.”
“I bet you wished for it.” You grumbled under your breath.
“What?” He looked at you, “How could you say that? I love you.”
“You never loved me.” You snapped, your fingernails digging into your palms, “You used me. You only want me back so I can’t tell everybody the awful things you do. Dead or alive, it doesn’t matter to you. I’m just here for your appearances.”
“I wanted you back because you’re my fami-”
“Don’t you dare say we’re family. They were my family. They loved me.”
“The-the wolves?” He laughed, “Don’t be absurd! Wolves can’t love you.”
“And why not?” You finally made eye contact with him, “They surely love me more than you.”
He looked at you with a slightly agape mouth, “Surely you hear how ridiculous you sound. You... you need some food. When's the last time you had a whole meal? Is that it? Are you starving? Are you sleep-deprived? What’s making you act like this?”
“I finally found someone who truly cares about me, and you take me away from them! You never want me to be happy. I hate you.” You took a deep breath, “No... hate isn’t strong enough. I despise you.”
Dottore looked at you with almost seemed like genuine pain. But you knew better. This was the man who’d set scientists to dissect your body if he got bored. This was the man who turned countless children into experiments.
You hated him. You hated the way he made you doubt yourself. You hated his confident smirk.
He sighed heavily, “They always did say these teen years were hard... (Y/N), I don’t understand why you’re angry.”
“And that’s the issue! You never understand me. You don’t even try to.”
“Can’t you just listen to me?”
“I have! I’ve listened for years and nothing's ever changed! You take me away from where I’m happy and try to convince me I’m in the wrong for getting upset. You are a terrible brother and even worse person.”
“Ter... oh. Oh, (Y/N), I tried to be reasonable with you.” He shook his head dismissively, “It really is your fault. You forced my hand. You’re going back to Snezhnaya and you’re staying there until you learn your lesson.”
“No, I’m not.” You took a step away from him. “I’ll run. I’ll run each time and I’ll tell everybody what you do.”
He stepped towards you and grabbed your wrist, “If you disappear again, I’ll just be forced to kill all of your... ahem... friends.”
You bit your lip and tried to keep the tears pooling in your eyes to spill over, “Fine.” You pulled out of his grasp.
“Are you finally going to listen to me?”
You turned around and looked over the edge of the cliff. A flash of white caught your attention. You smiled to yourself, turned around, and let the tears fall.
With outstretched arms, a huge smile, and a torrent of tears, you spoke, “I’ll always run from you.” You stood on the edge and let your body fall.
Dottore ran to the edge and grabbed at your clothes, missing by mere inches. He looked over the cliff in fear as he watched you fall through the branches of trees.
He sighed to himself and tried to contain his frustration. “Damn brat.” He turned to his troops who took the time of your argument to rest, “We continue on. (Y/N) is dead.”
In the tree, Razor looked at you in relief as you sat in his arms. “Safe?”
“Safe.” You replied with a laugh as you hugged him as best as you could considering he was holding you. “He won’t... he won’t bother us anymore.”
“Dottore? Dottore hurt you? Razor not protect.”
You pulled back from the hug, “You saved me.”
He blinked, “Razor... save? You are safe... Razor save...”
You pulled him down by his collar and kissed his cheek, “I love you.”
His cheeks turned bright red. “Love... Razor love... Razor love you.”
You giggled as you pulled him into another kiss, happy to be free from your brother and in Razor's arms.
“I love you,” you whispered again, “I love you so much.”

bakugou’s sleep time
Tumblr media
omg whoever you are, you’re literally living inside my head because IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR SOO LONG but here you go!
i dont think that bakugou actually goes to sleep at 8:30 pm or anywhere close to 8 ?here are my reasons why:
the kids at the dorms assume that bakugou is sleeping when he’s nowhere to be seen. it could literally be an excuse for him to not want to be around them. i also find myself saying, “im heading to bed” when im not feeling like talking to anybody and im sure i’m not the only one
people have assumed that bakugou goes to sleep that early because of that one short scene which i believe was part of the outro at some point. this was included in season 4- when all of that eri mess was going on. not only bakugou but the rest of the 1-a kids felt the rising tension. it didnt help when they literally had no idea what was even going on. bakugou is VERY quickwitted and is capable of figuring out things with ease so i wouldn’t be surprised if he was worried (dont forget that he waited for the kids to return but then excused it as him just lounging around smh). he thinks a lot so he really could’ve been thinking about something and slowly falls asleep that way lol
during the music festival arc, the kids practiced A LOT. they would sometimes even sacrifice sleep just to practice. to me it seemed like he had no real problem staying up for that late to practice. but who knows if he’s just good at tolerating stuff like that
he wakes up late during the weekends (?) remember that scene where he was aggressively brushing his teeth? mitsuki yells at him with something along the lines of “dont wake up at noon and make all this noise!”. noon starts from 12. lets do the math here. lets say this guy sleeps at 8:30 and is capable of sleeping until 12. that is 16 hours. OKAY fine he requires a lot of sleep because he overuses his body a lot, but STILL wtf
here is the schedule for the students at UA
Tumblr media
we can see that class officially ends at 3 pm. bakugou probably studies and trains even after school. is that even enough time ??? dont forget that he probably wants to do some reading and whatever other shit he does on his own time. (unless he can do all of this in 5 hrs)
in the heroes rising movie, bakugou for some reason decides to not do the community service during the day when everybody else is doing it and instead goes out at night. my first question when i saw this scene was, why did he decide to do things this way?? was he aware that at night nobody would want to volunteer so he decided to do it himself? or did he realize that things would be calmer at night ?? anyways, if he sleeps at 8:30, itd clash with his sleeping time, no? going out so late at night after dinner time doesnt seem so convinient for somebody that sleeps so early.
MANGA SPOILERS wouldnt someone who goes to sleep that early get enough sleep and therefore feel refreshed in the mornings ?? to me it seems like bakugou is NOT a morning person at all. during the internship arc with endeavor, bakugou says “dont be making all this damn noise from the very morning!” maybe he just takes a bit more time to get adapted ...?
PERSONALLY i think that he sleeps at maybe around 9:30-11:00 ? but lies down in bed at around 9:00 or something, it really depends on what he’s doing or how he is feeling. if he had a really bad day, he’d get in bed particularly early and think about stuff. he definitely cares about his health so yeah he probably sleeps early.
or maybe he’s like izuku and sleeps at 1 am studying loool

BNHA Chapter 319 Spoiler Analysis: Found Family
Holy crap what a phenomenal chapter!  This arc in general has been great, but this chapter might be one of my favorites of the arc.  Not just because it focuses on Class 1-A (I’m so glad to see the kids again), but because of the growth we see in these kids in general especially Bakugo and Shoto IMO.  Like, holy shit ESPECIALLY BAKUGO!  I stand by my opinion that Bakugo is one of the best developed characters in the series.  There’s so much I want to say about this chapter and I’ll try my best to do so if my poor injured left hand will let me 😭:
The chapter starts off with the first of 3 colored pages we’re going to get over the next few weeks to celebrate 7 YEARS OF MY HERO ACADEMIA!!!  CONGRATS, HORIKOSHI-SENSEI!!!  This series revived my love of anime/manga and really helped me in some really rough spots in my life.  I will forever be grateful towards Horikoshi for bringing this series to life and blessing us with such an incredible story full of beautiful characters.  MHA may be a little overrated, but I still think it deserves all the love it can get.
Anyway, the color page.  It shows Uraraka, Iida (who has red eyes here, so IDK why the anime gives him blue eyes though I do think they work better for him personally *shrugs*), Shoto, Tokoyami, and Bakugo after basically figuring out where Deku went.  Bakugo is shown tearing up his letter (which says something like “Thank you for being there, Kacchan”; there’s more but I can’t translate it 😭) and you can kinda see some bandage wrap around his arm where he was stabbed.  Also, both Bakugo and Shoto still have some visible injuries on their faces and Bakugo’s hands, so they’re still recovering from the War.  It’s a really pretty page in general and I can’t wait to see what the next 2 color pages are going to look like.  I also kinda want Horikoshi to take a break after this too again so he doesn’t overwork himself.  Maybe he’ll treat himself to the MHA: World Heroes Mission movie 🍿.
So, Shoto and Bakugo have figured out that Deku is most likely with Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist.  Problem is that none of them are answering their phones.  I like that Bakugo calls Best Jeanist “Pair of Denim Pants” 😂 and Shoto’s image of Endeavor is still a very angry version of his old man.  Shoto’s still making amends with his father, but he’s still not THERE yet.  Regardless, these kids are smart enough to know that something’s up.  Especially since All Might hasn’t returned to UA either.
It’s basically confirmed by Ojiro that because classes have been suspended, our Class 1-A kids are still 1-A; they haven’t moved into their second year yet.  That clears up the confusion on whether we should still refer these group of kids as 1-A still or not.
Now Bakugo’s showing how much of a genius he really is despite his personality.  Bakugo figures out that the Top 3 and All Might are working together as a group based on how they all connected with each other back at Central Hospital.  Also, Bakugo concludes that All Might snuck Deku’s letters under their doors while Deku started running.  Ultimately, Bakugo does know more about Deku and All Might more than anyone else does.  He’s been around his childhood friend and he’s admired his idol longer than most people have.  Bakugo understands how bad the situation is and he’s ready to take action.
As are the other kids.  You can see how determined they are and you can see Kirishima’s black roots coming in 🥺!  Even Uraraka gets some shine here by bringing up the idea to trick Endeavor to come via getting help from Principle Nezu as Endeavor was a UA student.  It’s really interesting to see Ochako in a more serious roll than usual, but I actually like it.  I hope she’s still as bubbly as she always was at the end of the day, but she’s definitely matured and grown a lot over the corse of the series.  Even the simple things like her hair show it as it’s not as floaty as it was before.  I love it when Horikoshi shows small details like this.  It adds to the characters and stories a lot.  Also, the art in this chapter is amazing.
And now it’s Endeavor vs. Class 1-A in a much needed conversation.  All the kids are wearing their school uniforms to make this as formal and serious as they can.  EVEN BAKUGO IS PROPERLY WEARING HIS TIE YOU KNOW SHIT’S ABOUT TO GO DOWN!!!  And, I must say, Bakugo looks damn good with a tie 😳.  You can also get a decent height measurement on the kids here if you want.  Ngl, sometimes I forget that Shoto’s about 2 inches taller than Bakugo.  It’s definitely the hair.
Shoto’s the first to step up and he scolds the hell out of his old man.  Rightfully so tbh.  Endeavor shouldn’t have ignored Shoto’s calls even though I kind of understood why.  Shoto reminds Endeavor of their plan to stop Dabi though thankfully that’s what’s pushing Endeavor forward so he hasn’t forgotten.  Shoto calls his father “Endeavor” and gets mad at him fro leaving Deku and All Might alone.  The rough translations say he called Izuku “Deku” here too btw.  Endeavor has no response.  I think this anger Shoto’s unleashing is very justified and has been burning inside him since Deku left UA.  His best friend just up and left him and his friends with nothing but a letter to kinda explain things.  Also, Shoto and the rest of 1-A (minus Bakugo) have basically been lied to for about a year.  I’d want answers too if someone did that to me.
Bakugo steps in by putting a hand on Shoto’s shoulder (🥺) to calm him down a bit and to say his piece.  Ultimately, he thinks what Deku is doing is right, but that the way they’re all doing it is wrong.  I love Deku and All Might, but they’re sacrificial idiots.  They care more about others than they probably ever will themselves.  That’s how All Might lost his OFA in the first place.  It’s because of that that All Might doesn’t have it in him to stop Deku from going down this path.  They shouldn’t have been left alone.  Someone should’ve kept a closer eye on them.  I know the Top 3 were all worried about getting too close to Deku before, but really, someone should’ve been watching them closer on the sidelines.
The next page is a really cool drawing of Endeavor flinging his phone to the kids to catch.  The previous panels showed Endeavor with this face that’s regretful and I think he realized something: That Bakugo is right and that the kids might be better off finding Deku than he is.  So he basically gives the kids his GPS on his phone.  Those are just my thoughts, but it does look like that.  I don't think Endeavor’s just going to up and give up though.  He’s probably going to start rethinking things though.
As Sero manages to catch Endeavor’s phone, he and the rest of the kids think about how even though they’ve only known Deku for a year, they still think of him as family and cannot let him go down this thorny path alone.  They’ll carry the OFA burden with him if they have to.  They can’t smile without Deku around.  These kids truly have become a family over the year.  It’s amazing to see.  Everyone’s like a brother and sister and it’s really nice to see.  I just love Found Family stories, guys 😭❤️
And really quick, I want to focus on my ❄️🔥 boy, Shoto, really quick.  As he’s thinking about Deku, he mentions how shocked he still is about Deku keeping OFA from them and how Deku thought just a letter would suffice.  He has this sad look on his face like he’s trying to say: “I still can’t believe my best friend hid this from me for so long.  Why?  Did he not trust me?”  That’s just my interpretation.  Still, I can’t imagine how upset Shoto must feel.  I think he still cares a lot about Deku enough to go out and find him, but he’s gotta feel some sort of betrayal.  More so than the other students outside of Bakugo because, again, Deku was essentially Shoto’s best and closest friend 💙😭
Endeavor is rightfully worried about letting the kids out in the state of Japan right now, but now Principle Nezu speaks up and praises the kids on growing up so well.  He’s also took into account Deku's feelings about his mission which is why he agreed to the team up.  Also, Deku’s still welcome back to UA whenever he wants thank god ☺️.  He’s a student who has to be protected.  There’s a cute panel of Uraraka and her mom crying happily after getting her acceptance letter too.  Not 100% why this is shown other than Acceptance Letter part, but it’s cute to see.  Maybe Ochako realizes how much Deku needs to be protected or something.
As for the refugees, Nezu had the security system strengthened in time for the Cultural Festival earlier, but they never used it before.  It’s call The UA Barrier.  God, how strong is this thing?  Is it strong enough to stop Shigaraki who was able to Decay the last barrier?  This seems like something that’ll be used in the final battle TBH.
So, Nezu trust the 1-A kids to bring Deku back home.  Which is exactly what they plan to do as all 19 of them enter Kamino in a badass full page.  I actually wasn’t sure if all 19 of them were there at first since I couldn’t find Shoto for the life of me, but then my eyes saw the BIG-ASS ICE WALL IN THE BACK AND I THOUGHT “OH THERE HE IS!!!” LOL 😂
The next panel actually does show Shoto with Momo as they capture the villain from the last chapter.  Momo politely calls Bakugo “Bakugo-san”, but Bakugo demands that he be called his insane hero name: “GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT”!  I CAN’T WITH THIS DUDE SOMETIMES WHY DO I LOVE HIM SO MUCH 💥🧡
Deku sees his friend and wonders why they came.  Ochako answers because that they were worried about him, but Deku tries to convince everyone (including himself) that he’s fine.  He’s obviously not and Bakugo calls TF out on him!  He even drops a good F-bomb for good measure.  Bakugo mocks Deku for trying to act like All Might and asks Deku if he can even smile right now.  I actually really like it that Bakugo’s calling Deku out on his shit.  I think Deku needs some good tough love right now to knock some sense into him.  Who would be better to do that than Katsuki Bakugo himself?
As Deku is trying to convince everyone that’s he’s fine (while still looking like a demon btw), there’s a small focus on Iida.  Actually, a few panels this chapter have focused on Iida.  Maybe he’s remembering the time Deku saved him back when they went up against Stain.  Deku saved him then so it’s now Iida’s turn to save Deku.  Also, Iida hasn’t gotten much focus lately and I really like his character, so I’m glad he’s being brought back to the forefront again.  Also, I like hearing Kaito-san’s voice in general so I’d be happy to hear him again (thanks for that one, Haikyuu).
The final spread shows Deku telling everyone to move away while Bakugo, Iida, and Ochako get ready to stop him.  IT’S DEKU VS. CLASS 1-A!!!  WE’RE ENTERING CIVIL WAR FOLKS!!!  Seriously, though, this is great.  I was thinking that it would be just Bakugo and a few other students finding Deku.  Instead we got the whole class.  And looks like that “helping hand” thing will happen later because we got a battle to fight first.
Bakugo’s become a damn fine leader and I love to see his growth every freaking time🧡! I like how Iida has his hand on Bakugo’s back to support him btw.  It’s weird that Shoto’s not in this page though.  He’s one of Deku’s best friends, so I would think he would be in this page along with Bakugo and his first 2 friends (Ochako and Iida).  Maybe Horikoshi’s saving Shoto for a more 1-on-1 conversation with Deku.  God, I hope that happens because I think along with Bakugo, Shoto deserves a good talk with Deku the most.
Honestly, I’m not sure who would win this battle.  I’ve been going through scenarios in my head on who would win, but I can’t come to a solid answer.  Class 1-A has 19 versatile Quirks under their belt and they have more energy than Deku to fight, but Deku still has 6 insanely powerful Quirks that he’s been practicing for a while.  The kids could probably win if they strategize enough and use Deku’s exhaustion against him, but again, Deku has OFA and multiple other Quirks.  If he could beat Lady Nagant, one of the best snipers around, he might be able to beat the 1-A kids.  He could just escape with Smoakscreen, Black Whip, and Float if he wants to really.  That would put 1-A on another wild goose chase.  There’s also Deku’s Danger Sense which will be a pain to deal with.  Also, Deku said that he’s as strong as All Might was in his prime with Fa-Jin and OFA combined.  Only AFO and Shigaraki were strong enough to take on THAT.  Plus, we still don’t know what the 2nd OFA Holder’s Quirk is yet.  Deku might use it in this battle.  God, I have so many theories in my head now.  I think this battle will be awesome, but ultimately, I want Deku to come home 😭💚

Choujin X: Chapter 1
So I'm really excited to read more of Sui Ishida's newest manga, and I'm arriving just in time for the front seats! I don't want to let this pass without writing down my thoughts on the first chapter and possibly look at it in the future as the story progresses. You can read it here:
Having said that, please note there will be spoilers ahead!
Tomato Girl
The chapter starts with this cute little girl with that native(?) farmer-like hat, who supposedly grows big fruits (it's huge in Japan, look it up!). I think she will also be a main character since she's the first person we see. From this point I'll call her Tomato Girl. She is obviously from a rural area and is a farmer. We see her motivation is money (and that big dog... which, I think we will see in the future lol). She also wants to marry a "handsome goldilocks hubbie", lol. Wonder if this means she's going to be a love interest of the other cast? She also wants to have 9 kids. Naki and Miza, is that you?! Lol. So here, we have a girl with lofty aspirations! We shall see if any of this will happen or if it will change or if she's lying!
Also an observation - Tomato Girl is also close with her granddad, since she said she's going to the contest in lieu of her granddad (whose back was hurt). She obviously has this strong personality, standing up to the creepy bad guy, who was going to hit the old lady.
Bad Guy
The Bad Guy (since this guy doesn't have a name yet) is obviously a terrorist-for-hire. Also seems to be obsessed with beauty and elegance. I would guess his power lies in blowing things up?
I think, though, that Tomato Girl is a choujin herself, considering she didn't immediately get blown away. Plus, Bad Guy was on fire, and so was she. So, it doesn't necessarily mean Tomato Girl is already dead. She also seems to be reaching out to the Bad Guy as that scene ends.
It's later revealed that despite the plane crash, there were 200 survivors. Hmmmmmmm. Maybe they were turned into choujins?Only the hull was burned but the frame wasn't.
Tokio Kurohara and Azuma Higashi
Yes, the MC! He's notices the plane catching fire. Then, for some reason, Tokio's teacher (Ms. Bazonkas) has a weird voluptuous design. BUT, I think there's something afoot there. She might actually also be a choujin. Possibly a mentor role for Tokio? She seems to be very knowledgeable.
Anyway, going back to Tokio. He's introduced as a sixteen-year-old high school sophomore from Tsuru High. Like any high school kid, he finds studying math to be useless. We're also shown that lives in a district which has destroyed buildings. Possibly dystopian future?
We next find a girl getting harassed by a Mohawk guy and his 2 honchos. Tokio calls for someone, turns out to be Azuma. I just thought it's funny how he called for Azuma, he sounds like a police officer. Haha. But right after, Azuma is introduced, flying from a building.. a very dramatic, heroic entrance. He kinda looks like a hybrid of Haise and Armin from AOT for me. Haha. He's so cute and tiny but he's strong and is apparently the town hero. He breaks the arm of the thug, which Tokio thinks is going too far.
The girl seems to be a pretty girl, and I think she will play a role later on. She's a lot older than them, since she said she's going to an interview. She will possibly a love interest or a villain, but I think more of the latter. I just read CSM so I'm wary of pretty girls lol. Anyway, I think there's something there to link her with Azuma, considering, Azuma introduces both Azuma and Tokio but she only seems to thank or acknowledge Azuma. Tokio even says "don't mention it" even if the girl didn't even thank him, lol.
Azuma and Tokio talk about the plane crash, and it's revealed that choujins seem to abuse their power, and that the attack is kinda normal. We look at their hometown which is really wrecked. Buildings are dilapitated in an abnormal manner -- one building looks like it was done in with a circular force... They live in Yamato Prefecture which is described as an ordinary, self-governed prefecture with some areas partially destroyed. Wonder what self-governed means, but my guess is that it's kinda like a state and the national government is different altogether.
Roly-Poly
Well I never really thought of pill bugs or rolly pollies until I read this. Azuma talks about how roly polies roll around in dry areas and when they find a damp rock, they hide under it. He questions if the roly polies like damp places. And Azuma wonders if choujins are anything like roly-polies. Tokio is confused, so am I. I'm not going to make solid convictions what he means by it, but I think... what Azuma is driving at is that, roly polies and choujins DON'T like damp places. I don't know, I have no reason for this, it's just a guess. We'll see what Azuma means eventually. Haha.
It also appears that choujins are generally bad guys, since Azuma wonders why they don't use their power for good. Maybe something about being a choujin corrupts? Just a guess based on the succeeding events.
They end their conversation with Azuma thinking if he can help with the plane crash. Tokio comments, "seems noble of you" and Azuma says, "it's just a habit". Wonder if Tokio finds Azuma pretentious or if he's genuinely impressed. Azuma's answer is also quite concerning, "just a habit", a question arises if he's sincere in helping in the first place.
The Mohawk Guy
So this guy is supposed to be a funny, evil villain, now bent on exacting revenge from Azuma. Then, a guy (possibly gay guy because he is wearing a lipstick?) with a briefcase offers him an injection.
Tokio's Family
So Tokio has a bigger sister and a dad who seems to be very quiet. Not sure if that's their dad though, it wasn't clear. It's possible they don't have parents anymore and that guy is just an associate. Anyway, it appears that the sister pays Tokio's tuition and she's the breadwinner.
Tokio and his sister talk about Azuma. Azuma is apparently very smart, very athletic (proficient in judo and karate), girls love him, and that his dad is a big shot in the police. The sister questions why Tokio is so proud, and Tokio funnily admits that it's because he feels popular because Azuma is popular. A leech!
Vulture
I just finished re-reading Tokyo Ghoul and :re, and I was blown away by Ishida's art and story. To say I love Kaneki is an understatement. I think I'm going to love Tokio too! I also want to discuss the cover.
Tumblr media
So it appears that the cover is the Tokio with an image of a vulture. Tokio is naked and it feels like the vulture is seducing him. From here, I get the vibe that Tokio might be corrupted by the power. "It's something of an affliction" is a dead giveaway. It feels like becoming a choujin or superhuman also corrupts, in a way?
Also since, there seems to be a commentary on the negative view on vultures being scavengers or "steals prey". (Though TBH I always thought vultures wait around for the predator to finish eating and then it eats the scraps??)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other hand, Azuma, Tokio's best friend who's mighty strong and brave (almost to a fault), is viewed as a lion by his peers. Also, an uncanny observation is the when Tokio cries about while sitting on the floor, above him is a hyena. Hyenas are known to prey on the carcasses of lions' prey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's almost uncanny when Tokio himself says, "I can be a lion too". But Azuma makes Tokio feel better by telling him that buzzards can fly higher than any bird -- telling Tokio to focus on the strength
But even if Tokio admires Azuma, Tokio thinks of telling Azuma when he's going too far. I think this comes from a place of concern. But maybe secretly he's also jealous?
Tokio also even tells Azuma that maybe they should hold hands so Tokio can be more like Azuma, implying that Tokio wants to be like Azuma.
Praying Mantis
Just before Flexi Choujin attacks, Tokio mentions that he bought an insect guidebook and was about to say a factoid about praying mantis near water. I wonder what Tokio was about to say? A search on the internet about praying mantis and water shows this disgusting video of a parasite exiting the praying mantis leaving the mantis to die. Ew. Let's see if this is the factoid Tokio was thinking of. If so, who's the mantis and who's the parasite? Is it Azuma and Tokio, respectively? Hmm. Also, love the insect symbolism. Throwback to Kaneki's centipede!
Flexi Choujin Attack (Johnny Kiyoshi Takeyama)
Mohawk Guy, now a choujin, is a flexi monster who's now more resistant to hits. He attacks Azuma indiscriminately with his new powers. He also kinda goes crazy... His subordinates fear his super violent side, begging him to go back to his "kinda naughty mama boy self", but he ends up snapping their heads off.
For some reason 2 injections fly up into the air?! Maybe someone tossed it. Because as Tokio brought Azuma to the water and brought him back out, he sees the 2 injections. Azuma wants to use it on himself.
Tokio hesitates to have Azuma use it but Azuma insists. Tokio remembers how Azuma saved him from bullies as a kid, and they agreed that Tokio will help Azuma beat the bad guys... Tokio gets the other injection and points to himself. Azuma says Tokio can't but Tokio insists because he feels that it's the only way to stay friends with Azuma. They also promise each other that they will have no regrets over this. This is kinda alarming for me!! Let's see what it will mean in the future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But instead of both of them transforming into a powerful choujin, only Tokio transforms into one. He looks like a vulture, very beast-like. Looks even like Kaneki's Centipede! I think the other injection might have resulted in a bad/weak power, or maybe it's empty, or maybe Tokio didn't inject Azuma? But I doubt the last one. Anyway, Tokio's choujin look is amazing!
Tumblr media
Can't help but feel this scene is related to the praying mantis thing... Maybe my hunch is correct? The parasite exits the mantis when near water, which is why Tokio manages to muster up some courage on his own?
We'll see!! I'm really excited to see this develop. It will be the first manga I will be able to see from the start to finish!

Some analysis...
Sup peps ✌️ today I offer you a little theory!
Enjoy!! (I guess...)
⚠️ Contains manga spoilers ⚠️

Tumblr media
“ Tell me your wish too! Yugi Tsukasa! ”
Tumblr media
First of all, I never knew Tsukasa could have a proper wish, he’s like uh... difficult to understand and emotionless; he’s the type of person who only knows how to smile even when he gets mad or annoyed. Basically, Tsukasa is like a puzzle as his twin brother Amane: we are trying to solve the puzzle in order to know the shady truth behind both.
(Well, they are twins lol 😂 ‘course they are alike in some lines)
*cough* So, in the next chapter we have various options of what could happen:
1. Continuation of where we left last time
Most likely it would happen, since we are discovering the truth behind the Red House and the Yugi twins... so I belive we will learn about Tsukasa’s wish (if he has one) and we might get some flashbacks of their past?!
Like, we will maybe get some scenes of Amane and Tsukasa’s childhood?? I would be so hyped if that happened because in that way we’ll learn about how their relationship was before middle school and all those unpleasant events: was Tsukasa always like that? Was he always unstable/manipulative?? Is Tsukasa the real bad guy who did bad things to Amane or they just want to make it seem like that?
These questions are still unanswered, but what if when Tsukasa was a little kid he was a bit different from when he was a teen... I mean, think about it: we are now seeing this little kid of the Red House and it is now confirmed it’s definitely Tsukasa.
Supposing Tsukasa as a kid was like the one we see in the Red House, we all understand he looks a biiit different from the original one! I don’t know if it’s just me lmao, but kid Tsukasa looks more “chill” (?) from teen Tsukasa.
Proofs are clear in the chapters:
he asks Kou to hold hands, which is unexpected by him since he never held back hands with anyone as we see in various arts of AidaIro (Example: when Amane and Tsukasa held hands at the entrance of the school we see Tsukasa who didn’t hold back hands with Amane, and basically Amane is holding Tsukasa’s hand but it’s not mutual).
(Chapter 76 reference)
Tumblr media
Or when he follows Kou while he could not care about him getting lost and not coming back, but Tsukasa offered him his help which is unexpected too. Even when he sobs because he fell several times, we never saw Tsukasa of the school sObBIng lmfaooo 😂
(Chapter 76 references)

Resumed, the Tsukasa we know is way more more more CHAOTIC, that is the reason why I think this kid hits completely different oof~
With that said, my theory is that Tsukasa wasn’t always unstable and still had his sanity back when he was a kid. But something or someone may changed him and his mental health started to decline. Maybe the “destroying his belongings” is a starting symptom meaning his mental health is already about to decline, maybe that something or someone already partially affected that kid we see in the Red House but not at the point of him losing his sanity yet? THIS IS INTRIGUING GEEZ!
And here we can reconnect of why Amane killed him: several people says it’s because of (TW) Tsukasa ab*sing him... but is it really true? It’s not confirmed yet. Tsukasa may had lost his sanity as we saw but not at the point of hurting his own brother? We saw that Tsukasa loves his brother, he would even jump and hug him everytime they see each other. Maybe the reason why Tsukasa seems to consider him as an arch-nemeses, like he said in the Tea Party Arc, is because his brother always obstacles him everytime Tsukasa does what he retains to be “the best to do”, and that’s why ever since the moment he was alive he didn’t like it, he didn’t like when Amane stopped him from reaching his own purposes, knowing that I don’t think Amane would’ve provoked him any further. Like we see in the Star Festival Arc: little Amane is shown to not provoke Tsukasa stating he would’ve throw a fit if he did so. That’s why I don’t think Amane provoked Tsukasa at the point of (TW) ab*se.
Of course Tsukasa there might have been 7-8 years old (grade elementary school kid) judging by his brother’s aspect he was a little more older than the Tsukasa of the Red House, meaning that Tsukasa was already drastically changing from that age, showing a more violent attitude (?)

Anyways, looking foward to theorize more about this and discover something more about the huge secret behind the twins!
2. We’ll see Nene’s POV
This is one thing which I strongly hope happens in the next chapter.
I read so many theories where they said that “thing” who took Nene might brought her to the other side, in other words the far shore.
Just one thing bugging me: only people who are already dead (or the ones who are half mysteries, like Akane or who have an high spiritual power, like Kou or Teru) can access to the far shore where all apparitions lies.
(Chapter 71 reference)
Tumblr media
As we saw with Aoi when n^6 took her to the other side in order to plug the hole using Aoi as a kannagi (since she’s from Akane’s family). She already died at that very moment when n^6 took her away.
In fact, the reason why she could see Akane that time, before she was taken away, was because she was already going to die... or maybe Aoi pretended not seeing supernaturals, but in reality could see them from the beginning.
However, we know Aoi’s goal was to die to begin with, as we saw from chapter 69 where she always felt to be treated differently from others whenever they learned her true nature stating that everyone always lied to her, she wanted to disappear equal meaning of dying (another reason why she was always involved with supernaturals and knew too much about them).
(Chapter 69 reference)
Tumblr media
But it’s true that this was Hanako’s plan all along (as we see in chapter 71) in order to grant Nene’s wish, Aoi was sacrificed and died in her stead (which is really sad though).
(Chapter 71 reference)
Tumblr media
From all of this I doubt Nene will die since she has Aoi’s lifespan: what if she didn’t go in the far shore but she went in another part of the house or an “hidden place”?
It is really probable though!
It’s true that we don’t know the exact position of the house right now, since it’s cursed we saw in a panel a real big fish passing by the window. It seemed like it was swimming in the water so it does seem like outside of the house there is water.
(Chapter 77 reference)
Tumblr media
Water is present only when we’re in a boundary, but boundaries are closed right now, because of the separation between apparitions and humans. This house it’s only a connection to a boundary most likely the twin’s boundary, that’s why outside of the house there’s water: we are slowy arriving to discover the hidden truth which lies behind the house equal meaning we’ll discover where n^7 boundary is.
This place is only a way to reach a connection with mystery n^7, as we know Nene, Kou, Teru and Akane’s goal is to discover the connections with all the mysteries and by that bringing them back.
This said, I think Nene probably went in an unknown place of the house and that’s where she might makes some encounter with a certain someone... imagine the house split in 2: one where Tsukasa and Kou are, the other one where Nene went and where the other twin might be.
The house grants wishes exactly like the twins do, so it is really a possibility that both of the twins are there but separated from each other.
Although, I’m still unsure if Amane is really in the house or if there’s an Amane as a kid. We see in a panel the house is like an huge labyrinth as it is obviously playing with Kou.
I don’t know, this is hella confusing, but I can’t wait to discover more!
There might be a part 2 of this analysis, I’ll try to continue it!
Yeah, this made more sense in my head and now I made the whole thing messy sorry > _ <

I am very happy for you, you are finally free, you must be very happy! why do you say they lied to you?
i hope not :( it must be really annoying aaa. btw thank you so much for doing it i loved it <3 you probably should, 300 people is already a lot, you might stress in the future and it's not the idea
Mikey needs therapy and love, he has been through so much throughout his life :( even though right now he is one of the characters I like the least, he doesn't deserve to have lived through all that. I TRY TO AVOID SPOILERS, I like to read it and be surprised, however it's been a long time since the last time I was surprised reading the manga lol. WAKA KNOWS PERFECTLY WHY HE IS THERE AND I DEMAND HIM TO TELL US
I'm not going to lie to you, seeing the male characters in books, series, etc, stop being a joke lol. those who have been interested in me were stupid, but well 💀 I take refuge in a fictitious but safe place lmao
Oh boy, i never been happier since the begining of this semester :') i said he lied because he told us the final exam would be like the first one but it was actually completely different and i felt like i lost two weeks learning everything by heart :/ but that's okay, i did what i could i just hope i won't fail this test or else i'm in real troubles :'>
Hehe I read your tags under your reblog, it made me smile and laugh so much you're so sweet <33 i'm so glad you liked it!!
I agree, Mikey did many bad things in all the timeline but he deserves some love (if he end up dying I at least hope he'll receive some love before because otherwise I'll loose my mind 💀) I WISH I COULD AVOID THEM LIKE YOU but i took the habit to go check them every saturday and i honestly think I'll end up spoiled anyway :') Waka is playing innocent i hate it here, what are you doing you big adult 🤨
Omg dont tell me about it, three boys loved me so far (and two when i was in elementary school so it doesn't count) and the last one is my best friend 💀 Fictionnals boys never disappoint us, that's why we love them so much lmao

Zeke x Fem!Reader: I Promise Pt. 2
Warnings: Mentions of birth/pregnancy, some slight manga spoilers
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
It had been about 9 months since (Y/N) had gotten pregnant. She could barely even believe that so much time has gone by.
The girl had been through so much, dealing with the sleepless nights, constantly peeing, food cravings, mood swings, etc! She didn't know that pregnancy would be such a crazy thing. She just assumed her whole life that it would be easy, but boy was she wrong.
(Y/N) was lucky to have Zeke by her side. He cared for her a lot, and the two spent a lot of time together. Sometimes he would have to disappear for reasons she knew were understandable, and she did have to deal with some things on her own.
(Y/N) was beyond excited to meet her baby. She was due in any day now, but she showed little to no signs of any birth happening soon. It confused her a lot, she thought that maybe the baby was just taking its time to come out.
Zeke was also very excited too. Being a dad was something he's always wanted to be, even if it was unexpected. He loved babies, and he had major baby fever at the moment. He would always find himself holding her stomach, or laying his head to feel somewhat close to his child. It always made (Y/N)'s heart flutter.
He dealt with a lot. He knew pregnancy was very serious, and having to deal with her mood swings, and all that other stuff was quite the hassle. Nevertheless, he still cared and dealt with it as time went on.
(Y/N) and Zeke would always play argue about what the gender might be. Zeke wanted a girl, but (Y/N) wanted a boy. The two would talk for hours about names and all that kind of stuff.
Watching her belly grow was probably the most beautiful thing Zeke ever saw. The way her stomach just grew more and more made him so happy. He couldn't explain it, but he just loved seeing her grow. It made him feel warm and fuzzy.
Zeke was currently away, he had to deal with some things with Marley, so he couldn't be with (Y/N). He told her before he left, that if anything happened, she was to get Pieck or Reiner. Of course, she assured him she would be fine, and she could take care of herself.
He didn't like leaving when she was so close to her due date. Zeke didn't want her to be alone, but he didn't have much of a choice.
(Y/N) was optimistic though, she knew what to do if her baby came. She had to just wait and see what would happen. That was really all she could do right?
"How long is he going to be gone for?" Mia asked as she approached (Y/N) in the kitchen.
She sighed. "Not sure... another day maybe? He'll be back soon though" she replied and shrugged.
Mia nodded. "Let's hope he's back in time, you're practically going to pop (Y/N)" she said and chuckled a bit.
(Y/N) drank some of her tea. "Yeah me too, I have been having contractions. Nothing too major though" she said.
Her friend looked at her. "You know where I'm at if anything happens" she said and gave her a smile.
(Y/N) nodded. "Of course Mia.. thank you" she said.
Mia stood up. "Well I'll be going now. Let me know if anything happens" she said and made her way towards the door.
(Y/N) waved and watched as she exited her home. It was getting kind of late. She decided to just head off to bed. She was already very fatigued anyway, this pregnancy made her sleep all the time, and she hated it. She missed having bursts of energy.
She lied in her bed thinking of Zeke and how much she missed his presence. He would always leave her flowers or little love notes to make her feel comfort when she felt lonely, and she absolutely adored it everytime. It always somehow gave her butterflies.
When (Y/N) woke up the next morning, she felt off. She had this feeling in her gut that something wasn't right, but she didn't know exactly what it was.
Zeke was ready to go and see (Y/N). He got let go pretty early, so he decided that he would make his way to go and see her. Though, he had to make a few stops on the way before that could happen.
(Y/N) had gotten dressed and showered. She still couldn't help but feel extremely off. She looked in the mirror, and admired her face. Maybe she was just tired? She wasn't sure, but she got some good rest the night before. She exited her room and went to her kitchen to grab something to eat, her cravings were high this morning.
That's when she stopped. Something wet was going down her legs.
Her water had just broken.
(Y/N)'s eyes went wide at the sight of her soaked pants, and suddenly she felt pain. They felt like contractions, but they weren't at all. Her baby was on the way.
"Shit!" she cried out as the pain struck her.
She had to get to Mia. She was the only person nearby that could help her. The pain was making her vision dizzy, and she struggled to get up.
She wobbled her way outside of her home. "Mia!" (Y/N) cried out as she looked around outside.
Mia opened the door to her home, and saw (Y/N) doubled over in pain. "Oh my god! (Y/N)! What's going on!? Is the baby coming?" she asked.
She nodded. "Yes Mia! Please we need to go to the doctor now!" she yelled as she held her lower stomach.
Mia began to help (Y/N) walk to the doctor's. Luckily, the doctors office wasn't too far from where she lived, so it wasn't a very long trip. (Y/N) was sobbing in pain. Mia couldn't bare listening to her best friend cry in pain, but she wanted to be there.
Reiner turned the corner and saw (Y/N) being carried over by Mia. "Shit! (Y/N)! Are you alright?" he asked and rushed over.
She struggled to stand up. "N-No! My baby is coming you idiot!" she yelled.
He looked at Mia who was struggling a bit as well. "Shit, I got her Mia. Go find Zeke, he should be back" Reiner said and picked up (Y/N) bridal style.
Mia nodded. "Alright, be careful. I'll be back (Y/N)" she said and began to quickly run off.
Reiner rushed to the doctor's. "Help! She's pregnant and she's going to give birth" he yelled as he entered in.
The nurse stood up and rushed over. "Oh gosh! Okay! Bring her back over here" she said and ran to a back room.
Reiner took (Y/N) and placed her on the bed. "Fuck!" she yelled as the pain radiated throughout her body.
The nurse began to remove her clothes. "What's your name? How far along are you sweetheart?" she asked.
"(Y/N) (L/N). I'm 9 months! Argh!" she cried out.
The doctor came in. "Okay (Y/N)! We're going to see where your baby's head is" he said and looked down.
(Y/N) was screaming and crying. Reiner stood there trying to calm her down.
Mia was running around trying to figure out where the hell Zeke was, Reiner said he was supposed to be back already. She wasn't sure how long her best friend had until that baby came out.
She spotted him from afar talking to Pieck. "Zeke!" Mia yelled as she ran towards him.
He stopped and noticed how frantic she was. "Huh? Mia? What's up? Is something wrong?" he asked and furrowed his brows.
"It's (Y/N)! Her water broke this morning! She's giving birth right now" Mia replied.
Zeke felt like everything went in slow motion. "I have to go" he said and looked at Pieck.
She nodded. "Go. She needs you" she said and gave a smile.
Zeke and Mia practically sprinted their way to get to the doctor's office.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) was a total mess. She was in so much pain, and her body was practically screaming. Reiner tried his best to make her feel calm, and to make her feel more relaxed, but she was giving birth. Not much he could do anyway.
"Okay (Y/N), these next few moments are going to be very difficult. Relax and take a deep breath" the doctor said and looked at her.
(Y/N) nodded. "O-Okay" she said and looked at Reiner.
"We're going to induce you okay? This is going to help your cervix dilate. It'll be easier for the baby to come out" he said.
She looked up at the ceiling trying her best to get comfortable. She needed Zeke right now, he was the only thing that could calm her and make her feel at ease.
"Sir we need you to stay here" the nurse said in the other room.
Zeke rolled his eyes. "My girlfriend is in labor right now! I don't give a shit" he replied.
(Y/N) opened her eyes and heard his voice. "Is that Zeke?" she asked and looked at Reiner.
"Is he your boyfriend?" the doctor asked and looked up at her.
She nodded. "Y-Yes... please let him in" she replied and gripped the sheets.
"Nurse let him in!" the doctor yelled.
The nurse moved so Zeke could enter. He saw (Y/N)'s face scrunched in pain. "(Y/N)!" he said as he ran to her bed side.
She turned her head towards him. "You're finally here.." she said and smiled at him.
He smiled. "I wouldn't miss it for the world" he replied and held her hand.
"Okay (Y/N).. you're gonna need to push just a bit. I need you to help her through this" the doctor said and looked at Zeke.
He nodded. "Got it" he replied and looked at her.
(Y/N) began to push, and as she did she cried out in pain. "It's okay (Y/N)! Keep pushing, you got this my love" Zeke said and held her hand.
She squeezed his hand tightly as she kept pushing. "Oh shit! Fuck! This hurts so bad!" she yelled.
The doctor looked under the blanket. "You're doing great! Once we see its head, you'll have to do one big push" the doctor said and looked at her.
Zeke kissed her hand. "You got this... I'm right here (Y/N). Just breathe" he said trying to reassure her.
She started to push again, she felt the pain starting to feel worse. She felt like she was going to pass out from all of it.
"Almost done! I see its head! One more push and it'll be out" the doctor said and smiled at her.
(Y/N) nodded. "Okay... fuck! I don't think I can do this.." she said and felt tears slip out of her eyes.
Zeke looked at her and wiped the tears from her face. "You can do it, I know you can. One more push... and it'll be done" he said and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
She swallowed and looked down at the doctor. "Okay.. okay! One more push.." she said and looked up at the ceiling.
She then pushed once again, and she screamed as loud as she could. "Nurse! Get me a blanket!" the doctor yelled.
She sighed and looked at doctor. "Is everything okay?" she asked.
He smiled as the nurse came in with blankets. "It's a boy!" He yelled happily.
(Y/N) became overcome with emotion. She heard the cries coming from the baby. Zeke looked over astonished, he couldn't believe their son was born. He felt tears come to his eyes as well, he never thought he would be able to have a child.
"Here you go (Y/N).. you did so well" the doctor said and smiled.
He handed her the baby. She smiled and looked up at Zeke, the baby had her (e/c) eyes, and his blonde hair. He was the cutest thing she had ever seen. Mia and Reiner stood in the doorway smiling at the two.
"He's so... beautiful" (Y/N) said and smiled at her baby.
Zeke nodded. "He's perfect" he replied and gave a kiss on her head.
"Do you both have a name?" the nurse asked and smiled at them.
The two looked at each other. "Anthony!" (Y/N) replied and looked excitedly at Zeke.
He nodded. "Anthony it is" he said and looked back at the baby.
(Y/N) felt so tired, her body felt like giving out in the moment. "You did so well" Zeke said and smiled at her.
She laughed a bit. "I wouldn't have been able to do without you" she replied and looked at him.
"I love you.." he said.
(Y/N) felt her heart flutter at those words. "I love you too Zeke..." she said.
"I promise to stay by your side" he said and held her hand.
"You promise?" she asked.
He smiled. "I promise" he replied.

So I finally finished Omori!
Uh...I got thoughts. Lots of them. They’re bulleted below for your viewing pleasure and my mental checklist. Spoilers abound below the cut, so please refrain from reading if you haven’t finished the game!
Omori is a love letter to video games. From its Earthbound inspired design to its various little nods to other games whether intentional or not. (The music at the train station and the musician whose song sounds like a K. K. Slider classic [Animal Crossing], the baseball and the bat [Off], the whale level [Kingdom Hearts], and the toaster and the blender [To the Moon and Finding Paradise, as included in the game per Cr*aot*c’s request to Kan Gao unless he lied about that, too...] are some of the one’s I noticed!) It feels very similar to the RPG Maker games I grew up with like Wadanohara and The Grey Garden, so I felt at home exploring the world!
I agree with a lot of the points that uricksaladbar (a fantastic youtuber, and I highly recommend his content if you like well-edited and well-written video game essays) brought up with regards to the use of Headspace and how the events there do not progress the plot, but I think Headspace’s main function is like a daydream to distract from what lies hidden and that the time spent there isn’t supposed to advance the plot. Traumatic memories are sometime repressed to protect a person and that’s the primary function of Headspace: to keep those memories from resurfacing. It’s kind of why it starts to crack, slowly but steadily, as Sunny leaves his house. It’s also why Sunny has a fear of heights, drowning, and spiders because his memories associated with them are intertwined with his trauma. Whether aware of it or not, those phobias actively keep him from thinking about Mari. Despite the pacing issues, I had a lot of fun exploring Headspace (except for the area from the Last Resort to Humphrey. Especially Humphrey. Fuck you, Humphrey), and it’s interesting to look at its “lack of progression” as being a meaningful design choice than “padding for length.”
I really like the Faraway Town sections more, but that’s because I prefer the more natural color scheme and grounded setting. My favorite gaming series of all time is Story of Seasons, so casually taking part-time jobs and getting to know the townspeople was definitely something I enjoyed more than the RPG elements of Headspace.
Omori does a great job of showing how different people grieve, and I love how it reconciles with the fact that there is no “right way to grieve.” I remember talking with one of my old roommates about the book The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, and she said she didn’t like it. It conveys a very unconventional method of grieving, similar to the one found in the manga Haru’s Curse/Haru no Noroi by Asuka Konishi, which can make it hard for some people to relate to. More than anything, I do genuinely believe the crux of this story is learning how to accept and overcome grief, and it’s wrapped up in a happy little tale of friendship!
I don’t have much to say on the characters (except for Basil; he’s got his own bullet point after this). They’re functional for the plot. That’s about it. But I would like an IRL Hero for myself, please.
I...don’t really like Basil all that much. And while a lot of people, my brother included, keep calling him “best boy” and “the bestest friend you could ever have,” all I saw was an insecure boy. It’s true that the trauma haunting him may have contributed to it as well, but the need to be the photographer, to take pictures, to enjoy from a distance, tells me just how desperately he needed them in his life. (Note the photo album is called Basil’s Memories and not referencing the group as whole.) Which is why his involvement in Mari’s death and the ensuing fallout, while already traumatic for anyone, probably hit him the hardest. Because he ended up alone, unable to escape the trauma, compared to the other four who found other avenues of coping besides Constant Suffering, even if some of their coping mechanisms weren’t exactly healthy.
The personification of their trauma is fantastic. Basil’s takes the form of roots that act like vines, trapping him. Sunny’s is the silhouette of Mari’s hanging body with her eye open, looking at him, haunting him like a ghost. Very symbolic!
I...uh...thought the twist was kind of...underwhelming. The game does a very good job foreshadowing Mari’s death being related to her hanging herself, which I did believe for most of my time with the game, but I was having second thoughts with what Shadow Basil, Basil, and even Aubrey was implying. Clearly Basil had something to do with Mari’s death, but my conclusion was that he killed Mari as an act of self defense to protect Sunny and Aubrey witnessed it. Like I literally thought Mari was a slimy sister that was wonderful and great to everyone but Sunny. (I’m so sorry, Mari.) This falls in line if this game were actually a psychological horror, but this game fell kind of flat in that regard. I don’t consider it as a psychological horror (more just psychological with slight horror elements), and I think coming in expecting a full blown psychological horror kind of dampened The Plot Twist for me. I was expecting to be absolutely horrified but...I just ended up feeling really bad for two kids who were so traumatized they literally Could Not Handle It.
Besides being a very good story for grief, Omori does a fantastic job in showing the affect that trauma has on people. I should also note that Sunny’s three phobias is a very typical when several traumatic instances happen in close succession. We often like to think of trauma as a result of a singular event, which it can be in cases like say a terrible car crash, but it sort of simplifies and reduces the effect of the trauma in a way. Trauma is best described, in my opinion, as an onion or a mille feuille, insert your choice of layered object here, because that singular event is composed of tiny little events or memories (perhaps broken down by senses). The game uses a simplistic way of doing it by breaking Sunny’s reaction to the drowning event into three phobias compartmentalized in Headspace, but it is something to note since most media likes to handle trauma as The Thing instead of the Amalgamation of Things that Make this Thing Traumatic.
Lastly, the soundtrack is a whole banger. Absolutely amazing.
To those who got to the end of this, thank you for reading! This isn’t necessarily a review for Omori, but it’s more so a place for me to jot down any thoughts and expand upon them. It’s been good practice for me in breaking down narratives and trying to see things from different perspectives or expanding upon why I don’t like things besides just not liking them lol.

CLAMP Timeline BS: How xxxHolic and CCS are Connected
Major spoilers for xxxHolic, TRC, and minor-ish spoilers for Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card
Also it long
Backstory
Cardcaptor Sakura run: 1996-2000
xxxHolic run: 2003-2011
Clear Card run: 2016-present
What I have read: The entirety of xxxHolic
What I have watched: The entirety of Cardcaptor Sakura, the entirety of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card, xxxHolic season 1
 Crackpot Theory Time
So I got the idea for this after seeing some post somewhere (I’ll try to look for the post later) something along the lines of “maybe Sakura in Clear Card will be so powerful she’ll be able to influence the TRC universe/help the members of the CLAMP universe.” Then I started thinking about how, though there have been many posts on the TRC/xxxHolic timeline, I haven’t seen an xxxHolic/CCS timeline. I’m sure it exists somewhere, but since I’ve got my own theories I’m not writing one myself.
This is less of a timeline and more of a “how are they connected”, basically I’m going to be going back through the anime and the manga and saying whether I think CCS and xxxHolic take place in the same universe, and whether or not they’re taking place at the same time.
Let’s start with the most stuff (and apologies the manga scans are ones I made myself so if they’re kinda wonky that’s why)
Also one day I’ll update this when I actually read TRC (lol)s.
Also some of these are a bit crazy.
 Plot Points
Since xxxHolic came second it’s unsurprising that the majority of the things I’m going to be discussing comes from this series. So I’m going to start by framing this around xxxHolic, dipping inThis is going to be a bit all over the place but since I’m focusing on a specific chapter it shouldn’t be too confusing.
1.      In Chapter 2 of xxxHolic we see the most references to Cardcaptor Sakura. Namely Watanuki and Yuuko have an argument about the plastic replica of the Clow Key that Yuuko owns.
2.      Now the version that Yuuko has is the first iteration of the key. That means that when Yuuko acquired it (whenever she did) it was most likely during the first part of Cardcaptor Sakura (although yes I understand in meta it’s because it’s the most iconic iteration). Then again the key has been around for a long time, as it’s the original iteration. It’s possible that Yuuko got a copy of it from Clow, or some point before Sakura got hold of it. Although that’d most likely have to be before Kero fell asleep for 30 years, and before the cards got into the Kinomoto house.
3.      Another thing to note is that Yuuko only has a prop version. Although you might use this to say CCS is a show in this version, it’s pretty obvious that this is just for a gag. Considering the fact Watanuki doesn’t recognize it, there’s little chance that CCS is a beloved kid’s show in the xxxHolic universe.
4.      This is further proven by Yuuko’s words: “…The one who owns the original now is the creep’s [Clow’s] blood relation, a cute young girl.” This is probably the best indicator that CCS is taking place at the same time of xxxHolic. Although it’s possible that CCS takes place in an alternate world/universe, that also seems unlikely. Although Yuuko never seems tied to the shop in the way Watanuki is in the latter half, there’s also (in xxxHolic) no proof that she’s jumping around worlds. Besides, it seems unlikely she’d bring it up to Watanuki in the present-tense if that were the case. Thus we can pretty safely say that Sakura is both alive and still a little kid in the xxxHolic world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5.      Now the most confusing part in regards to the CCS/xxxHolic timeline is Watanuki’s existence himself. In Chapter 11 Watanuki and Yuuko go to see a fortune teller. During said interaction the fortune teller explicitly states: “Your parents have safely passed into the afterlife” after noting that they died in an accident. Now this could cause some issues, as we know not only that Watanuki’s parents are Sakura and Syaoran (from what I know it’s specifically their clone versions but again I haven’t read TRC so I could be wrong). This could point to two things, either A. This is just a lie or something that CLAMP retconned later, or B. Sakura and Syaoran are dead. Assuming that this isn’t just a retcon or a sort of lie (since Sakura and Syaoran clone’s weren’t actually dead at this point, I’m pretty sure in TRC they don’t even know about Tsubasa Li yet) we could explain this via Eriol. Eriol is confirmed to be the reincarnation of Clow Reed. As of such if we assume that there was another Sakura and Syaoran running around in this world (plz god no), then the accident which caused their death doesn’t actually mean that CCS happened way earlier. It just means that they might’ve reincarnated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Random Exposition
I’m just going to be talking about technology and geography here
1.      Firstly I had to go back and check and unfortunately the name of Watanuki’s school doesn’t match with the name of Sakura’s school (or rather her brother’s old school). Cross Private School has nothing to do with Tomoeda. Although that could actually further point to them existing in the same timeline, since if they lived in the same place it’d be weird if they never ran into one another.
2.      Tomoeda is said to be close to Tokyo. In fact in the second season we see Sakura and the gang taking the train to Tokyo. Watanuki obviously lives in a city, or a very dense suburb, and in Chapter 5 he mentions that Ginza would take hours to walk to. Having lived in a very dense city myself once (Paris I miss you baby) I know that walking from one side of the other could theoretically take hours. Though I’m not sure how large Tokyo is and I have no real sense of distance, I’d guess that Watanuki lives either in some made up part of Tokyo, or in the suburbs directly connected to the city. As famous landmarks are never mentioned, it could be either or. He could even be from a neighboring city theoretically, although then it’d prolly take much longer to walk to Ginza.
3.      Lastly I want to talk about technology. In Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card we can clearly see that this is meant to take place in modern times, as Sakura has upgraded to an iphone, in keeping with the time. This definitely disproves CCS coming before xxxHolic, as nothing in xxxHolic suggests it takes place in the future. I also think that there’s no way xxxHolic comes before CCS for any real period of time, after all in Volume 1 there are many chapters dedicated to the woman who cannot stop using the internet. This too points to me that xxxHolic and CCS are running in conjunction to one another, or are at least only a few years off.

Conclusion
So this is all very crackpot and weird, but I do think it’s interesting to ponder. As that forum post said Clear Card definitely seems to be upping the scale of Cardcaptor Sakura, the magic is greater, the stakes seem higher, and characters such as Yuna D. Kaito point towards a storyline that seems more tonally in tandem with the greater CLAMP extended universe, as really ratcheted up by xxxHolic and TRC.
You could make the argument that CCS and xxxHolic are from different universes, though considering what I’ve written and read I don’t think you can argue that they’re utterly disconnected. Overall I’m still missing a huge piece of the puzzle, that being TRC as well as the rest of the Clear Card chapters. One day I’ll prolly remake this post, but until then I hope you enjoyed!
