A soft breeze floated around the 4 friends as they strolled through the campus streets, joking about the funny mishaps they witnessed in their respective classes. Spring had just gotten the chance to spread its familiar grassy smell around in the cool mid-afternoon light and the pollen from the flowers made its way through the wind.

Beomgyu sneezed “Jesus I hate Spring,” His eyes rolled with a certain annoyance, grabbing a tissue from his bag and wipping his nose “Shouldn’t you be like, wearing a mask or something if you’re allergic?” Yunjin nudges, throwing Beomgyu a snarky look as his eyes trailed Beomgyu’s actions. “Yeah, i forgot it at my dorms though” He snarks back. Yunjin just laughs at his stupidity.

Hyunsuk greets them at the entrance of the cafe, holding the door open as they continued bickering their way inside. Y/n takes in a deep inhale of the smell. Fresh coffee, as humiliating and stupid as it might sound The scent felt comforting to Y/n, it gave her a sense of warmth that you would only get from something you deeply cherish. “Hey Hanbin,” She speaks giddily, smiling widely at the boy behind the counter “I haven’t seen you in a while” Hanbin plays back, the rag in his hand repeating the circular motions on the counter. Hanbin was one of Y/n and Yunjins friends from highschool, a Striaght A student with the record of student council every year in every class. He was apart of their inner circle but as time went on and they all became busy with their college life. The friends they once called their inner circle were now the ones they seldom ran into, a hi or bye was the most often exchanged.

Even with knowing that they were not as close as they were Hanbin had always treated both girls with respect, how he would treat his other friends “How’s Matthew and the others?” She questions. “He’s Okay, sometimes he works here for a little extra cash” Hanbin chuckles “Oh, And Gyuvin just enrolled here! I think he’s trying out for the volleyball team” He recalls, more to himself than outloud. “Wait, the volleyball team?” Y/n leans a bit more over the counter, only a slight change in her stance but Hanbin had still caught on “Yeah…” He sees her face light up, somewhat with joy somewhat with nervousness “I’m the manager! I’ll look forward to his tryout” A silent laugh comes out of her as Hanbin lets out a sigh of relief.

“What’s this i hear about tryouts?” A familiar voice stalks behind Y/n, and an arm slings around her shoulder in a playful way. Her head whips to the direction of the person and she smiles “Intak? What are you doing here?” She asks, the dark brown haired guy gives her a greeting smile before nodding his head to the door. Her eyes follow, resting to see the rest of the team piling in “Who’s this?” Hanbin finally speaks up “Oh! This Is Intak, The teams Outside Hitter!” She exclaims hand pointing out to the talk man beside her “Hanbins friend was thinking about trying out next week” Quickly but simply she explains to Intak, who smile fades into a thin polite one, eyebrows knoting into a serious expression “Oh, Well tell them i’ll be looking forward to seeing them at tryout” His voice was dry, hitched into a deeper tone than normal “Well, I gotta go Miss. Manager, see you at practice today” His hand goes into the ‘okay’ motion as he skips backwards waiting for her to respond. With a simple nod he gives a smug smile and hops into his own group to order for himself.

As Y/n watched Intak playfully tease Jongseob her eyes couldn’t help but divert its attention to the dimly muted blonde that was picking out his card from his wallet, she felt her heart skip “If you’d like,” Her attention breaks its daydream t look at hanbin passing the final set of drinks to her “I could invite you over and you can meet the rest of my friends, not just gyuvin and matthew” His lips tug into a small smile, looking up at Y/n through his brown bangs “Sure, Just text me when you’re free” She agrees and takes the final two drinks in both hands before spinning around.

She expected nobody to be there, nobody to be in her line of walk as she spun but when she hits somebody’s chest and stumbles abit back she all too ready to curse them out, especially since some of the liquid spilled onto her hand “Oh shit, Sorry…” The rustling of napkins catches her attention and she looks up from her hand, a familiar face is flailing about, clumsily trying to take out some of the napkin from the dispenser and hurriedly give them to her. A small smile floats upon y/n’s lips at the cartoonish motions Theo performed. Finally his hands put the brown paper towels on the mess, she’s left speechless.

Right about now or sooner she would already be giving him a death glare, would already be taking out her phone to bash him on twitter but this time, her eyes dialated with something but loathe. Something had gotten lodged in her throat unabling her from shouting anything that isn’t nice “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you—“ His hands go up to shake them in a profoundly positive way “It’s alright it was my fault—“

“Watch where you’re going” A clear sarcastic voice came from behind y/n, Yunjin stood a couple inches taller than Y/n, only ever going over the shortest head in size “Let’s go y/n” And with a forceful yank of her arm y/n is being pulled away from Theo, who stood just as confused, towels in hand

“I had that” Y/n whispered to her best friend, the girl chuckling at her exclaiment “You were literally standing there like a deer caught in headlights, you were nowhere near got it” Shoving Yunjin playfully as she snickered into the seat she took her own, passing out the drinks to the boys in front of her “You okay?” Hyunsuk asked curiously and she nodded again.

“I’d rate that interaction a 4 out of 10, you get points off for almost burning her.” Jongseob gives his older friend a thumbs up for mock reassurance. “You’re so lucky that she ordered an ice coffee” Again Jongseob says, His hand goes to pat Theo shoulder before moving up to pick up his own drink with a slight snicker.

Intak’s eyes take another roll around his skull, witnessing the whole fiasco go down and being disappointed with the outcome. His brain was working over drive, As the self-appointed wingman of the group his job was clear and simple.

Make Y/n and Theo go from Arch-nemisis to Lovers

but right about now he was having trouble, real bad. They still hated eachother, Heck, if they were alone in a room together they wouldn’t kiss, they would just rip each others heads off. His foot tapped along with the slow beats of the cafe’s music, trying to think of a way to get them together, his head spun with thoughts “Intak!” Keeho shouted, waving a hand in front of Intaks face finally getting his attention “Here, What were you thinking about?” Keeho hands Intak the coffee and they follow behind Theo and the rest to another booth to sit at “Nothing, Just worried about practice that’s all” with an agreed hum Keeho pats him on the back, acknowledging his “woes”.

His eyes still wonder to make this last desperate encounter work, to make a final reach to get the pair together. And then he sees it, a chance. He scoots up next to Theo, talking to him about tomorrows practice to stall time. Running his mouth about the tryouts and the lineup trying to fish out any distractions he could before completing his rushed plan. Then as Theo was explaining to him that the only person who has the tryout lineups was Y/n and how he needed to talk to her if he wanted to know who was coming, Intaks foot seemingly slid quickly to Theos pathway, making him fall forward.

The taller goes flying and fortunately catches himself on the nearest table he could balance himself on. His breath stills and he finally looks up from the tumble “Y/n, Are you alright?” His eyes open wide at the sight, his hot drink had spilled on Y/n, fear and horror makes its way into Theo’s eyes as he helplessly looks in shock as Yunjin and Hyunsuk frantically try to help the crying girl

Ah I've missed the shenanigans of the Kim Siblings, this smau was as much about the sibling relationship as it was abt Heeyn, so I loved getting back into the WHP universe. This is probably the longest WATN so enjoy 😂😂.

We left off at YN and Heeseung being engaged... They got to the party and everyone was already emotional.

Jin is the first one that sees them and he starts sobbing, loudly wailing about baby Kim being his baby and that she's engaged.

Heeseung's friends called his parents. Ignoring Jin's wailing, they go straight to YN, not bothering to greet their own son.

They go on about how Heeseung has never made them more proud and YN being their daughter is a dream come true.

Joon interrupts, half to free YN from the Lees and the other half to correct them that YN will be their daughter in law not daughter.

This brings about an argument that no one expected. Heeyn slip away to their friends.

Everyone is already calling dibs on who should be maid of honour, bridesmaids, best man and groomsmen.

YN leaves Jisoo crying when she asks her to be maid of honour. Gaeul and Rei also get emotional about being bridesmaids.

Sunghoon very smugly tells Heeseung that since Rei is a bridesmaid, he HAS to be a groomsmen cause he's not letting anyone walk down the aisle with Rei 😂.

Heeseung jokingly says that he'll have a competition and the winner gets to be his best man.

The boys laugh and go to YN, telling her that they'd rather fight to be part of the bridal party.

This causes Haruto, Asahi and Jaehyuk to fight them about how theyre the only guys in the bridal party.

Taehyung very deadpan tells Heeseung, he'll be the best man if Heeseung pays.

Which leads to Heeseung going on a rant about needing new friends 😂.

The Lees still arguing with Joon, get involved and tell Heeseung that if he even thinks of trying to find new friends then they will disown him and adopt Niki.

To which Niki laughs and says that the Lees are his Korean parents and he knows they love him more than Heeseung.

Ofcourse the gang graduates with flying colours, I'd have nothing else tbh. It was touch and go with Asahi cause he forget to submit an assignment worth half his grade.

YN chooses to do a Masters in Creative Writing, she wants to be a published writer. Girl already has an outline for 2 different trilogies.

Haruto goes straight to finding work in the publishing industry. He's promised YN that he'll be her editor when she's ready to publish.

Heeseung surprising everyone also starts his Master's in Literature, man loved writing his essays and wants to get into academics.

Rei and Sunghoon work as art curators at different galleries.

Gaeul gets a trainee architect job at the same firm as Choi Hyunsuk... There may be something brewing there 🤫.

Sunoo and Asahi find work with the same acting company, they are now besties. Sunoo is the one who deals with Asahis stupidity much to everyones relief 😂.

Jake is on the road to being a hot maths teacher.

Jay is working in a fancy lab that is owned by Choi Soobin.

Jungwon is a paid volunteer for a youth charity aiming to get young people interested in politics.

Niki is a back up dancer.

Heeyn decide to get married after they graduate.

They TRY to plan a wedding but the Kim siblings & the Lees butt in a lot.

Taehyung is the most vocal abt disliking things or wanting to change something.

The Lees just want their future daughter to have her dream wedding. So they try to stop Tae taking over.

Seeing this chaos, JinJoonJisoo take Heeyn aside and offer to pay for a wedding the way they'd like it without interference from Tae or the Lees.

Heeyn agree happily. Thus begins secretly planning a wedding without letting Taehyung or the Lees know.

YN asks Jin to walk her down the aisle. It was a hard choice to make but their bond is just that little bit more special.

Everyone cries at the wedding. Literally all of them have got tears. It's just a beautiful day and everyone is so happy for Heeyn.

The Lees go on their vacation. Heeseung gets pics from his parents abt the fun they are having 😂.

Niki is very diligent with collecting more coupons and using the ones he was given before they become unusuable.

And now to explain the crossover with This Slope is Treacherous. Rosè and Taehyung met at Baby Kim's wedding.

Jimin was invited being Taes best friend and he didn't want to bring a date so brought Rosé with him.

Taehyung accidentally spilt wine over Rosé's new dress and in retaliation Rosè threw her drink on him.

This happened after Heeyn had already left. Jimin and Rosé stayed to help the Kim's clean up.

Both apologised to each other and made up cause Jimin was not gonna deal with his bff and lil sister hating each other.

They ended up at a lot of the same events so got to know each other.

They're the definition of mutual pining and poor Jimin was stuck in the middle of it.

Until Jimin with the other Kim siblings, got these 2 to go on a blind date with each other 😂.

Fast forward 6 months Taehyung proposes, they have a small wedding of just family. Which makes sense cause both of them come from such big families 😂.

And that's how Kim Taehyung is now a Park spouse.

Summary: Hyunsuk thinks you couldn’t see him on his birthday, the truth is you’re organizing him a surprise party.

The timer of the oven went off, Y/n put her phone on the kitchen counter and grabbed a towel to take the two molds out.

She stacked them and started decorating. She wrote a ‘Happy Birthday, bubs 🤍’ on the center.

Y/n wasn't a professional baker but liked baking certain pastries since she was a teen. It was a hobby she enjoyed.

When she finished, she placed it carefully on a white box that had a ribbon. She took her bag, phone and car keys and walked out of the door, making sure to lock her apartment.

Then entered the elevator that went to the underground parking lot.

She opened the trunk and put the cake inside.

After that she entered the car, and put her bag on the passengers seat. Y/n connected her phone to the Bluetooth, and Sunshower by Epex started playing.

With that, she began her journey towards her boyfriend's dorm which was only 10 minutes away.

He certainly was gonna be surprised, because the last thing he knew was that she had a huge project she had to submit the next day and that was why she couldn't hang out.

Once she arrived, she parked right in front of the building. She took all of her things and entered the place.

She hopped on the elevator and went up to the 4th floor.

The doors opened and she bounced towards the familiar door. She knocked and a smiley Seunghun opened it.

“Y/n! You’re just on time.” He let her in and took the box.

“Thanks. I’m glad, I thought I was going to be late because of the cake. It took me longer to decorate it than I anticipated.” She set her bag on the couch. “Hi, Gon.” The girl greeted the older as soon as she saw him coming out of the kitchen.

“Hey, Y/nnie.” He smiled at her. “Baejin just told me they’ll be here in 20 minutes.”

“Okaay. Do you guys need help with anything?”

“Not really. We just finished decorating and the food is almost ready.”

“Oh, okay.”

The three of them sat on the living room coach and conversed for a while until Byounggon’s phone dinged.

“They’re on the elevator.”

“I’ll go hide. Don’t snitch on me.” She giggled and pointed playfully at them. Both of her friends laughed and nodded.

She ran to the nearest closet and closed the door just in time for the principal door to open.

“Happy birthday, Hyunsukie!” She heard the boys yell.

“Thanks, guys! What’s all of this?”

“Just as a small surprise party for our sweet maknae.” Gon responded.

“Okaaay.” Hyunsuk thought there was something going on since the leader sounded a little bit nervous and sweeter than usual but brushed it off.

“Come sit, we made your favorite.” Seunghun sounded like a mother, which, honestly, was so cute.

Y/n heard footsteps leaving the area she was in. As she heard chairs being dragged, she thought it was time to come out.

She tiptoed her way towards her boyfriend. Four out of five guys knew of her presence and were trying so hard not to laugh or being suspicious.

She put her hands over his eyes making him smile.

“Hyung, what do you think you’re doing?” He laughed.

“It’s not me, Sukie.” Yonghee giggled.

“Oh. Is it…” He touched her hands. “Y/n?” He sounded confused.

“Maaaybe.”

He turned around and when he saw her his face lit up.

“Sweetie!” He got up and hugged her tightly.

“Hi baby, happy birthday.” She had a fond look on her face.

“Thank you, love.” He still held her. “W-what are you doing here? I thought you had that very important project for tomorrow.”

“There was never a project, bubs. I needed time to make your gift” She didn’t reveal what it was. “And did you really think I wasn’t going to be with you on your birthday?”

“I thought it was weird since we always celebrate it together but understood that you were busy.”

“Oh my god, you’re so precious.” He giggled and turned red. Y/n hugged him tighter.

“I have go get your gift but I don’t want to let you go.” The girl spoke as she looked into his eyes with a pout.

“We can cuddle afterwards, love.”

“Okay, I accept.” They laughed softly.

Hyunsuk stopped holding her and she walked to the kitchen and took the cake out of the fridge.

She looked for candles and a lighter. She placed them on the top and lit them.

She returned to the dinning room with the dessert on her hands, a huge smile on her face. And placed it in front of her boyfriend.

They all sang Happy Birthday to the birthday boy while he thought how lucky he was to have that group of people in his life.

20 — Y/NSUK STARTS OVER (WRITTEN!)

you ran as quickly as your legs could take you, not letting the fact that it was raining stop you from running to choi hyunsuk.

panting, puffing and completely drenched from the rain, you made it to the apartment complex, wobbling to the familiar door before ringing the bell and leaning against the wall.

and just like you hoped for, choi hyunsuk was the one who opened the front door, eyes widening as you gasped for a breath, your hand on your knees.

"oh…? oh … hi there." you struggled to form the words. "just give me a minute. need a breather."

"what are you doing here?" you'd be lying if you said hyunsuk's harsh tone didn't hurt you, but maybe this was how you deserved to be treated after everything you said and did.

"i, uh, wanted to talk to you," you replied, taking deep breaths. "and apologize too," you added.

"so, you ran from your place to mine? in the rain?"

"yeah, pretty much, yes."

hesitance flashed through hyunsuk's eyes before he shook his head, scoffing. "and you couldn't bring an umbrella with you?" he muttered.

before you could get another word out, hyunsuk walked back inside the house, leaving you outside. you sucked in a breath, rubbing your hands to fight the cold as you wondered what to do.

almost ten seconds later, hyunsuk came into view again, tilting his head. if you weren't gasping for air, you probably would've been able to see the concern he had for you behind the cold, expressionless front he had put up.

"i left the door open for a reason, you know? so what … are you gonna come inside or not?"

accepting the invitation in a heartbeat, you quickly followed behind hyunsuk, getting a start on the apology speech you had put together during your run.

“hyunsuk, i just wanted to say i am–” you paused, seeing him hold up a hand to stop your talk. “yeah?”

“just dry yourself off and get changed first,” hyunsuk stated, throwing a bundle of clothes in your direction. “you are getting my carpet wet.”

you took a deep breath, nodding as you walked in the direction he pointed at. entering the bathroom, you let out a breath you were holding, struggling to keep in the tears.

okay, maybe i deserve it, you tried to convince yourself. but does he have to be this rude?

“let him know, y/n. that’s why you ran all the way here. to apologise and let him know how much he means to you.” you stared at the reflection in the bathroom mirror, giving yourself a word of encouragement before walking out.

you froze upon seeing yoshi and jihoon, awkwardly fidgeting your fingers as you wondered how to walk to hyunsuk’s room when they were standing in front of it.

“… dude, that’s not right at all.” you flinched as jihoon raised his voice. “y/n ran all the way in the rain and you really going to fucking tell her she’s getting the carpet wet?!”

oh, they are talking about me.

“suk, i’ve been on your side every time, but this was too far,” yoshi reasoned, more soft-spoken than jihoon. “i know you wanna put up this bad-boy act and pretend you don’t care for y/n and all, but have you considered what she wanted to tell you? because no one runs in the rain just to apologise to someone, hyunsuk.”

not wanting anyone to scold him more because of you, you shut the bathroom door loudly, letting everyone know of your presence. hyunsuk nodded at the other two, wordlessly assuring he’ll drop the act.

ah, yes. the choi hyunsuk being ‘rude’ was just an act — surprise, surprise!

you walked into his room, standing by his desk as he closed the door. you opted to stand even after he gestured you to sit on his bed, taking deep breaths as you gathered the words you wanted to say.

and you said them. everything that bothered you and everything that was in your heart, you told him.

“… i’m just rambling here, but all i want to say is i’m really sorry behaving the way i did,” you apologized, not expecting yourself to get emotional. “i really like you, hyunsuk, and i hope we can start over.”

your heart was at your throat as hyunsuk stood from his place, taking a step towards you. a small smile painted his face as he reached out softly, wiping away your tears before pulling you into his arms.

“i’m sorry for being a dick too,” he muttered, patting your back in assurance. “and i would love to start over whatever this is. i promise, no more secrets this time.”

you pulled away from the hug, cracking a relieved smile. “well, then … uh, hi. i’m y/n and i am from daegu. i used to study in canada, but i moved back because i was homesick,” you stated. “i used to be best friends with this guy called daniel choi. i wonder how he’s doing now.”

hyunsuk laughed at your last comment, shaking his head. “hi, i’m choi hyunsuk and i’m from daegu too!” he mimicked your introduction. “this might be crazy, but i think i might be the daniel choi you are looking for,” he spoke, pointing at the polaroid of you two when you were younger on his wall.

“oh, my gosh. that’s us!”

“yep, that is. how could i ever forget the girl i married when i was six?”
