“-y/n?” she hears Felix call from beside her. The younger had been yapping all period about the party tonight, and y/n didn’t mean to be rude, she really didn’t, but she couldn’t help her mind drifting off onto more important things! Said things being a certain someone that has been making appearance after appearance in her daily daydreaming. Now she's not exactly complaining per se, but she is a little confused as to why her friend has been plaguing her mind more frequently than usual. It could be anything really, from his soothing voice to his dark brown eyes that always held an emotion Y/N couldn’t quite decipher, to his big, veiny hands that always had Y/N's mind drifting to other things. Things like how they would look in hers, how they would look around her waist, or between her thighs-
“Y/N!” You are again pulled from your thoughts as Felix gently kicks your leg under the table, whisper-yelling so as to not draw too much attention to you. You look at him sheepishly, brows drawn together with a small, apologetic smile on your face. “I’m sorry Lixie, what were you saying?” The boy’s frown only deepens, inching closer to you.
Felix squints his eyes as if he’s trying to find something. “Are you ok? You’ve been zoning out lately. Like, more than usual.” He diagnoses, again leaning further into your space, and at this point, it probably looks very odd from an outside perspective.
Blinking, you wonder if you should tell Felix what you've been thinking about recently. Telling Felix would mean also telling Han indirectly, but that’s technically not a bad thing because Han has much better advice than Felix anyway. You decide that it wouldn’t hurt to tell your best friend.
You purse your lips, looking at the professor at the front of the classroom. “Felix, may I ask you something?” You start hesitantly, cheeks tingeing lightly as you keep your eyes away from the boy next to you. Felix raises a brow with a ghost of a smirk creeping its way onto his face, pulling away from you to lean back in his chair.
“Of course, Y/N! What’s got the puppy blushing?” The nickname only stirs your insides a little bit, nowhere near the sensation when Hyunjin calls you by the name. You gather yourself momentarily, piecing together your thoughts and looking around just to make sure no one is paying attention to you, which is unlikely for how far away you guys are from the rest of the class, and the amount of people. “How do you know if you like someone?” you finally let out, rushed, searching your friend's eyes for any minute reaction. It’s not like you doesn’t know you like Hyunjin, you're sure you do, but it seemed like the safest question to ask.
Felix's face shifts from surprise, brows raised, and mouth parted slightly, to smug almost instantaneously. “Oh? Does Y/N have a crush?” He asks, voice saccharinely sweet and teasing.
Leaning forward to shove his friend's shoulder half-heartedly, you whine, “Don’t tease! Just answer the question.” You sit back in your chair, watching as Felix feigns hurt for all of five seconds before he’s back to smiling at you. This time it’s downright maniacal, reminding you of the Cheshire cat, and you're just a bit terrified as the boy opens his mouth to say something. “It’s Hyunjin, isn’t it?”
The blush that was slowly fading has come back in full force, bright reds painting your cheeks as you freeze. Felix gasps, eyes wide and mouth agape. “Oh my god, It’s totally Hyunjin!” He concludes, giggling like a kid at Christmas as he stares at your panic-stricken face. “Lixie it’s not funny!” Huffing, he turns away from his friend and to his notebook, which is barren of the notes they should’ve been taking. Felix seems to catch onto the fact that you are genuinely worried about whatever is going on and decides to save the teasing for later.
“Y/N, I don't know exactly how you feel, but Hyunjin definitely wouldn’t turn you down if you asked him out.” He assures because really, the elder would probably leap at the chance to go on a date with you. I mean who wouldn’t? You may not know, but most of their friends had developed a crush on him at some point, all having gotten over it, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
You seem confused by his statement as he tilts his head to the side, eyes asking Felix a question. “What do you mean?” you say softly, almost as if your scared to know the answer. And to this, Felix just kind of stares at you for a moment, trying to figure out if you are making a joke. But your face doesn’t change one bit, staying in a state of confusion. He looks to the side as if there's a camera before turning back to the still-confused Y/N.
“Y/N, do you really not know?” Felix asks slowly, letting the words settle in the air around you. Dark hair shifting as you shake your head, you let out a small ‘no’.
At this, Felix laughs lightly, disbelieving at just how oblivious you are. “Hyung looks at you like you’re the only person in the world. He has these heart eyes, you know? And have you seen him around other people? Bro could not care less about anyone but you, he doesn’t even try to hide it! He’s also really rude to people who try to flirt with him, like, he looks at them like he’s disgusted by their presence. Disgusted Y/N! Have you really never noticed? He’s so obvious about it too…” He trails off, realizing that you had gone silent as he ranted about their older friend's behavior.
When Felix looks over at you, your face is blank with surprise, eyes widened and your bottom lip falling. “He doesn’t do that…” Your voice is nowhere near convincing.
“Sure, he doesn’t.” Is all Felix says before changing the subject again, but you are hardly paying attention.
Tumblr media
You are two seconds away from running out the front door of the house. You rarely go to parties, and every time you do, you're reminded as to why. It’s loud, so loud, there's people grinding on each other everywhere, and you lost Felix in the crowd, so you're all alone at a party where you don’t know anyone. Yay!
You're looking around the living room for anyone you may know, or just to not look like an idiot, but either works, and you're almost successful! You think you see Hyunjin sitting on the couch rolling a blunt on the table in front of him, but as soon as you're about to walk over, something—no someone— is blocking your view.
“Hey.” The stranger smirks down at you, the warped smile looking all types of wrong on his face. It makes him look creepy and gross, causing you to cringe at their closeness.
“Can I help you?” You force yourself to be polite, manners still thoroughly intact even in the undesirable circumstances. The boy only increases the disgustingness of his smirk, raking his eyes up and down your body.
You shift in your spot as you look away, uncomfortably folding your arms over your chest and trying your best to glance over the stranger’s shoulder in search of Hyunjin. But the older isn’t on the couch anymore. You deflate, only to suck in a breath at the feeling of an arm being wrapped around his shoulder.
“Hi Baby.” Hyunjin’s voice is a whisper in his ear, lips brushing against the skin. You flush as a shudder runs through your body, you turn to look up at Hyunjin in surprise, his eyes already burning into yours. “Jinnie?” You question softly. Your faces are so close together, you wonder if the taller can hear your heart racing at the proximity.
Hyunjin’s hand comes up to your face, caressing your jaw. “I was looking for you,” He giggles, leaning in closer to your face, inches away. And he makes it sound so real, as if he really was looking for you amidst the crowd, which after the information Felix had shared with you earlier today, has a good chance of being true. Suddenly, Hyunjin looks away from you, eyes set on the stranger who is still standing there, his gaze murderous.
“Can I help you?” The taller spits, standing to his full height and dropping his hand down to your waist to pull you into his body. The boy practically squeaks before scurrying off with his tail between his legs, leaving you two alone.
Your body immediately deflates, leaning yourself into Hyunjin’s comforting hold easily. “Hi Jinnie.” You mumble, turning your head back to look at the older.
Hyunjin softens at the sound of your voice, your eyes finally meeting again. “Hi Y/N-ah.” You preen at the name, your name always sounding different when Hyunjin says it, but to be fair everything sounds different when Hyunjin says it. Better in every way.
He leads the younger to the couch, right where he had been sitting before saving you. Hyunjin picks up the rolled blunt from the table and reaches for the lighter in his pocket.
“y/nnie.” He calls simply, letting the name permeate in the air. You tilt your head to the elder, looking up at him. You aren't sitting far apart at all, thighs touching as Hyunjin lays back against the couch with the new blunt resting in his mouth. His left-hand falls to your thigh, rubbing small and comforting circles into the rough material of your jeans.
It wasn’t comforting at all though, you immediately flush at the feeling of the elder's large hand on your thigh. It was a regular occurrence for Hyunjin to put his hands on you, but each time it set your body alight with nerves.
“Kitty,” God. This boy must want to kill you.
You choke, sputtering as you continue to stare at Hyunjin’s side profile. The elder takes a long drag, holding it for a few seconds and then exhaling. He turns to you. “You should try this.”
And you probably shouldn't, but when Hyunjin’s looking at you as if he's the only person in the room while asking you to do something that seems so mundane, how could you possibly say no? You're a weak woman.
So, you take the offered blunt and presses it to your lips, not really knowing what to do next. Hyunjin seems to understand your dilemma and takes mercy on you because you next hear instructions on how to smoke properly.
“Suck it like a straw, inhale, hold, exhale. Do it gently, or you’re gonna cough.” He smiles at you, teasing as you give him a quizzical expression and nods your head hesitantly.
You still cough. Violently. Your lungs burn as you hand the offensive object back to its original owner, who is now laughing. “Stop laughing!” You whine when you finally catch your breath, throat still burning. Hyunjin’s hand squeezes your thigh tighter as he laughs, head tilted back towards the ceiling. A shiver runs down your spine, Hyunjin is so hot.
“C’mere, kitty.” He grabs the back of your head and tilts your head manually. Stilling, you lay pliant in the others' grasp.
Hyunjin takes a long drag before leaning in, meeting eyes with you wide-eyed and confused. Your lips are parted slightly, just enough so that Hyunjin can lightly press his own against yours to let the smoke travel into your mouth.
The touch is gone as quick as it came.
Hyunjin's own eyes are lidded as he watches. “Suck, inhale, hold, exhale,” he murmurs quietly to you who follows his directions as best as you can, sucking it in like a straw, inhaling, holding, and exhaling.
This time it's much smoother, but the smoke travels from your mouth to Hyunjin’s in a puff, the older boy sucking up the last remnants of it in with confidence.
They're close, so close. You're practically on the other’s lap with how much you had compensated when Hyunjin pulled you in. The air between you is thick as Hyunjin brings the blunt back to his mouth, this time connecting your lips in a real kiss, letting the smoke cloud up around your mouths.
Your eyes flutter shut as they meet, Hyunjin's hand on the back of your head like a brand, heavy and hot. The one that moves to your thigh is no better, tugging on you just enough for you to get the hint that he wants you to sit in his lap. Again, you're a weak woman for Hyunjin, so you go without question.
You feel small like this, sitting in the lap of your friend. You moan against Hyunjin’s mouth as the older grips your waist, it’s not the strongest because the blunt is still between his fingers, but it's more than enough to leave you with the feeling of molten hot desire pooling in your gut.
“Jinnie…” He mumbles into Hyunjin's mouth, curling a fist into his jacket. When he opens his eyes, he sees the gaze the older has fixed on him, lust and want swirling in his dark, hooded eyes.
“Yes, Kitten?” The elder asks teasingly, leaning forward to nip at your plump lower lip. He’s reminded of the blunt in his hands though, pulling it away from your body and taking another hit.
Before he could exhale though, you connect your lips once again, holding onto the side of Hyunjin's face with one of his hands. The kiss is messy, saliva pooling in your mouth and spilling over the corners as Hyunjin kisses you back just as desperately.
But as you continue to share the blunt, your kisses and touches become languid and sweet, delving down into something less rushed. It's still filled with lust however, you're still minutely grinding up or down into each other in the middle of a party on a stranger's couch, but somehow it feels different.
You smile and giggle as you pull away, the weed hasn't hit either of you yet, but you feel light and airy as he stares at Hyunjin.
“Y/N-ah, you're so adorable.” Hyunjin coos, squeezing the side of your waist with no real force. You blush and giggle again, leaning back down to press a peck to the elder's lips. “Jinnie, do you maybe wanna…find a room?” You ask cautiously, making sure to hide yourself in Hyunjin’s neck as you do, hoping that it would serve as a covering.
The content smile on his face grows to a large grin as he cradles the back of your head. “Why don't we go back to my place? It’s only a few minutes from here.” He offers, placing a kiss to your head.
You don't know how the atmosphere changed so quickly. Just a minute ago you were practically cuddling on the couch with a side of kisses and grinding, but now the frottage has gotten out of hand and you're shaking against the elder.
“J-Jinnie! Please, please, please. I’ll be good! I’ll be so good, I swear…” You beg desperately, eyes watering with unshed tears as you stare up at Hyunjin through his lashes.
The older had been teasing you for so long. You just want him to do something to alleviate the ache of your cunt. Hyunjin has his thigh between your legs, pushing down harshly at times, or just simply letting you grind up against him.
He grins down at you. “Yeah? Does my kitty want more?” Hyunjin chides affectionately, his hand holding the side of your face as you relax into the touch.
“Yes.” The way you look is downright seductive. Your clothes aren't even off and your already drooling, hair messy as it lays over your head like a halo, and you're looking up at Hyunjin with these sinfully gorgeous eyes, wide and wanting, pooling with lust. He's sure he doesn't look any better though, just as effected as you in this whole endeavor.
Hyunjin finally lets up, taking his hands back and pulling himself away to take his shirt off. You whine at the loss, but it's soon quieted as you gasp upon seeing Hyunjin without a shirt.
“Jinnie you never told me you worked out…” And for some reason, you sound sad, as if you really were upset that Hyunjin never told you. He pulls off his pants too, letting both articles of clothing fall somewhere on his floor as he moves back to you.
“Baby, are you sure you're ready?” He asks, pausing with his hands on your waist. You thrash, “Jinnie if you don't fuck me right now.” He huffs, trying to sound intimidating but it just comes out as weak and breathless.
Hyunjin's eyes darken, hands working quickly as they rip off your pant and underwear down in one motion, tossing them on the floor and exposing his glistening cunt. “Or what? Hmm Y/N? What are you gonna do if I don't fuck you?” His grip tightens on your hips, blunt nails digging into the soft skin.
There's no bravado in your voice as he speaks, it's lost the longer Hyunjin stares at you with a gaze so hungry and primitive. “I’ll go find someone else.” It's said as a whisper, because it's the furthest thing from the truth—you don't want anyone else other than your Hyunjin to fuck you.
Hyunjin seems to think it's funny, for he tosses his head back in laughter, hands absentmindedly reaching for the fabric that's left on your body.
“We both know you wouldn't even dream of that. ‘Cause you're such a loyal kitten, yeah?” Hyunjin mutters the last part directly into your ear, hot breath hitting the shell and sending a shiver down your spine.
You squeak, Hyunjin's hands finding purchase under your shirt where your chest meets your torso. You nod your head fervently, eyes closing.
Hyunjin only chuckles, crowding into your space. “Yeah, that's right. You're my good girl, aren't you?” It's rhetorical, but you can't help the small, shaky ‘yes’s you let out as Hyunjin kisses down your neck. He pokes his tongue out, letting it taste the subtle saltiness of your skin. Hyunjin sucks harshly at your collarbone, you whimper at the feeling.
“Jinnie. please. Do something…” Your just so desperate. You've been kissing and touching for what feels like hours: Hyunjin has been teasing you for too long and now you're brimming with desire.
When the first tear spills down your cheek, Hyunjin finally takes mercy on you.
“Shh, baby let Jinnie take care of you.” Hyunjin mutters into the furnace that is your skin, pecking the side of your mouth before moving down your body and settling between your legs.
You feel your cunt throb with a fresh spurt of slick as Hyunjin breathes hotly against your folds, just looking. His hands are supporting the underside of your thighs, pushing them up and apart to get a better view.
“Fuck kitty, you're dripping.” And the worst part is that Hyunjin is right. You can feel your arousal as it runs down your legs, it's the dirtiest you've ever felt but you're much too turned on to care.
You're just about to whine for attention again when you feel something warm and hot licking over your clit.
Hyunjin doesn't waste time, sparing you no warning before he abruptly licks a thick stripe up your slit, lapping at the juices that coat your pussy. He groans at the taste, always knowing you would be sweet.
Unable to resist the urge to voice his opinions, Hyunjin speaks his mind. “You taste so good, Y/N.” He hums into you, your pussy clenching around nothing at the praise.
“Jinnie…” You whisper, broken and weak. When Hyunjin looks up at you, your eyes are closed, and your face is drawn up tightly.
Hyunjin sucks harshly at your clit, thighs twitching in his hold. “Ah!” You gasp, your hands instantly moving from their grip on the duvet to lightly grabbing at Hyunjin's hair.
Hyunjin can barely hold back the sounds he’s making, small groans and hums leaving his mouth and vibrating against your entrance as he moves to focus more on it.
Swirling his tongue around the soft hole, he lets your legs rest on his shoulders. You sound so heavenly like this, moaning and whimpering, so fucked out just after a few touches.
His hands massage the skin between your thighs and ass, going back to sucking your clit like candy. Above him, your hands tighten their grip, only serving to spur Hyunjin on.
He flicks his tongue over the swollen bud, pink and puffy with need over and over, making your stomach heave.
“Hyunjin! Ah—Jinnie, so s’good.” You babble, lips shiny and wet with saliva. Hyunjin moans at the sight of drool escaping your mouth and slowly dripping down your chin, feeling his dick throb in his boxers.
He licks into you as if he's been starved his entire life, tongue lapping hungrily over your clit as his nails dig into the soft flesh of your ass. Your legs shake on his shoulders as Hyunjin lets out a long hum, a gasp leaving your mouth at the vibrations. “Hyunjin!” You wail.
In response, Hyunjin presses a wide lick from your entrance to your clit, hooking his tongue around the bud and swirling it around in firm circles. You jolt, the feeling like no other as you moan helplessly.
“Such a good girl, your cunt’s so sweet.” He chuckles, voice gruff as he repeats the action. You are flushed a bright red, cheeks splotchy as tears run down them beautifully.
When your eyes meet, it's heavy, filled with emotion. Your voice is strained as you call for Hyunjin. “Jinnie.” You manage, letting one hand go from Hyunjin's hair in search of one of his own hands.
Hyunjin obliges immediately, slotting your hands together lovingly above your stomach. It's a stark contrast to the way he plunges his tongue back into your sopping entrance, licking up the slick that's now covering his mouth and chin.
He can feel you begin to spasm around him, plush thighs squeezing his head and neck. It’s so hot how you're so desperate, chasing your orgasm as Hyunjin continuously brings you further and further along.
“C’mon baby, be good and cum for Jinnie.” He can feel as you start to crumble, breath becoming much heavier as your eyes start to flutter, moans higher in pitch as you arch your back to push yourself further into Hyunjin's mouth. But it's the next line that really pushes him over the edge.
“Cum for me kitty.” Your mouth is frozen open in a silent scream, air caught in your lungs as your cumming on Hyunjin's face unabashedly. Your body shakes through the process, pussy clenching and unclenching around the elder's tongue in spasmed rhythms.
Hyunjin coaxes you through it all, letting you ride out your high by swallowing every last drop of your release. He doesn't stop until you push his head away with a trembling hand.
When Hyunjin comes up from his spot between your legs, he's met with your glassy eyes looking up at him with a sad look. “‘n/n what's wrong? Did I go too far? Was it too much?” He worries, words slipping from his mouth at a fast pace as his hands come up to cup your warm cheeks.
You shake your head. “Jin, you haven't come yet.” You mumble, pointing down to the very obvious boner he’s sporting. Hyunjin only laughs, thankful that he hadn't overstepped.
“It's okay pretty, I just wanted you to feel good.” Hyunjin assures, kissing your swollen lips sweetly. But it seems like it was the wrong thing to say because now your whining into his mouth.
Pulling away with wide eyes, Hyunjin gives you a curious look. “I want you to…” You look away, blushing furiously, and Hyunjin decides he will be having none of that, turning your head his way again.
“Want me to what?” He pushes, eyes now teasing and expectant. You wriggle in his grip, squirming under the heated gaze.
“‘Wan you to cum on me…” It's barely even a whisper, but Hyunjin still hears, breaking out into a large grin as you look away yet again.
Hyunjin lets go of your face, settling himself between the younger’s legs again. “Yeah? Is that what the kitty wants?” He drawls lowly, reaching into his boxers and releasing his cock from its restraints. He won’t last long at all, his cock is a violet red and it stands up tall, slapping against his stomach.
Gasping when you see the length, you can't help but imagine what it would look like to fit that inside you, what would it feel like. You always knew Hyunjin would be big, but this reaches new lengths.
Hyunjin sees the inner turmoil inside your mind. “Don't worry. Next time, I’ll open you up real nice for me.” He hums, wrapping his hand around the girth and sliding it against the wet surface of your still swollen pussy. Flinching at the sensation, you wince as the head of his cock rubs on his clit so deliciously.
Just as he had thought, it barely takes Hyunjin anything to come, the image of you biting his plump lips and looking up at him while your legs are spread so prettily is more than enough for him to be spilling over his hand with white, hot ropes squirting onto your folds with a loud groan.
He lays himself on top of you after that, careful of his weight but still cuddling into you. You were just so warm and soft. You can't blame him.
“I love you.” Hyunjin blurts into the hot skin of your neck, wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you tight. You giggle in his arms, placing a shy kiss on Hyunjin's temple.
“I love you too.”

Let me know if I missed anything
Felix stepped forward, blinded by rage. Not only was this guy all over you all the fucking time. He was fucking coming out of your room. Did he stay the night? Did something happen between the two of you? All these questions raced through his mind as he punched Hyunjin square in the jaw.
He heard you shout his name in shock but rather than turning around he raised his fist again. He had to stop himself before he swung because you appeared before him, standing between him and Hyunjin.
"What the hell Felix?" You raised your voice, staring down your boyfriend. He had attacked Hyunjin out of the blue and for no reason. You felt Hyunjin's hand on your waist, trying to move you aside so he could return the favour to Felix.
Felix let out a dry chuckle as he watched Hyunjin's arm wrap around you. He looked at you, ignoring the man standing behind you, "I asked you if there was something going on between you two. I trusted you and you fucking cheat on me?" His voice got louder.
"What-"
He didn't let you finish and kept shouting "Why the fuck would you even go out with me. You like stringing me along?"
Hyunjin pushed you aside, "Watch how you speak to her," he warned.
"Fuck. You" Felix landed another punch on Hyunjin's face. Hyunjin reeled back, recovering from the blow and getting ready to hit back but you once again shoved between them. This time you faced Hyunjin, wiping a bit of blood that dripped from his torn lip.
He looked at you a smirk forming as you worriedly tended to him. He met your boyfriend's gaze, giving him the look 'she chose me.' Felix scoffed and before you could utter another word you heard the door slam behind you.
You turned away from Hyunjin, taking a few steps forward as if to chase after him but then you stopped. You walked into the kitchen, grabbing a paper towel, wetting it with warm water and going up to Hyunjin who stood still, observing your every move.
He flinched as you dabbed at his lip.
"Hold this, apply pressure," you sounded robotic. Your movements were slow and measured. You walked back behind the kitchen island, opening the freezer and making an ice pack. You walked back to Hyunjin, wrapping the ice pack in a tea towel and holding it up against his jaw. You took the blood soaked tissue from him and moved his hand so he would hold the ice pack. The bleeding had stopped. You took some antiseptic cream from the side table drawer and applied a bit over the cut. Then you looked at Hyunjin, meeting his gaze blankly before moving to sit on the couch.
You felt the couch dip as Hyunjin sat beside you. "He's insane." When he didn't get a response from you he turned and poked your cheek. Usually that made you smile but not this time.
"What are you thinking?" Hyunjin asked moving closer to you.
"I don't know. Nothing I guess." it was the truth, there was so much for you to process that your mind chose to stay blank. You were still in shock over the situation, not sure how to feel about anything or anyone.
Hyunjin could see the stoic look on your face. His heart sinking as he realized this wasn't something you'd brush off. It mattered to you. He mattered to you. He placed his hand over yours, trying to melt you the way he usually did. To his dismay, you moved your hand away.
You turned and studied his face. His lip was swollen and his cheek had a bruise forming. "I think I need to be alone for a bit."
Hyunjin's face fell. He just nodded, got up getting his stuff together. Before he left he turned to say, "Please call me."
You sat, processing the morning, a reality show playing in the background in an attempt to drown out your thoughts. It wasn't working. You couldn't fathom what Felix had done. And what exactly did he think was happening? Did he think you fucked Hyunjin?
Your pulse raced as fast as your thoughts. You weren't sure what you wanted. Part of you was somewhat relieved, perhaps this would be the end of you and Felix and you wouldn't have to think about that 4 letter word that gave you anxiety when he said it. But the other part of you ached. You felt hollow and guilty. It scared you to think of not having Felix, you wanted him near. You wanted his soft kisses and that bright smile.
You picked up your phone hitting his contact. Straight to voicemail. You waited a gruelling 15 minutes, literally watching a timer tick down before trying to call him again. Voicemail again.
You grab your keys, rushing out your door with a mission. Your legs carried you with purpose and then, when you reached your destination you delivered a hard knock to the door. You heard shuffling and you were greeted by Minho. Before he could give you a sarcastic hello you asked, "Where's Felix."
"I don't know. You're his girlfriend shouldn't you know?"
You ignored his remark, "I'm waiting for him." Minho moved aside to let you in. You settled on their couch, a cat quickly finding you and settling onto your lap. "What are we watching?"
Minho shuffled over begrudgingly, silently scrolling through the netflix catalog.
"You really aren't friendly," you stated as Minho sat silently next to you. The comment made him smile, despite him trying to hold it back.
You laughed watching his reaction. "I want to watch Twilight," you announced.
Minho rolled his eyes, "No."
"Why not?"
"Because it's stupid," Minho replied sounding childish.
"Have you seen it before?"
"No."
"Well then you can't possibly know if it's stupid or not." You quickly grabbed the remote from him, selecting the movie.
Minho groaned but pretty soon he was into the movie. You each sat with a cat on your lap, yapping away about the absurdity of the movie and Jacob's horrible wig. You had started New Moon when you finally heard the front door open.
"I'm home," Felix shouted as he turned into the living room. He stopped when he saw you, a frown decorating his face. "What are you doing here?"
"I-" you had to gulp your feelings down. Felix had never looked at you like this. His looks were usually soft, admiring and made you feel fuzzy. This look made you feel sick. You took a deep breath collecting your words, "we need to talk."
"What is there to talk about? I think I saw all that I needed." Felix doesn't let you say anything else. He rushed to his room door slamming behind him. You were now alone in their living room, Minho had slipped away unnoticed.
You got up and knocked on Felix's bedroom door. When he didn't open the door you just knocked harder until you heard shuffling. He opened his door just enough to poke his head out. You were a bit angry still but you had to admit he looked cute. You wanted to kiss him so you leaned forward planting a soft kiss right on the tip of his nose. Felix's eyes blew up in surprise and the angry look he was giving you melted away. He let out a sigh, opened the door and stepped aside gesturing you in. You sat down on the corner of his bed.
"Say what you want to say," Felix said, avoiding your eyes.
"I don't know what happened this morning. What is wrong?" Your voice remained steady as you watched him carefully.
Anger spread across Felix's features once again, "Are you fucking kidding me? Here's what happened. I saw a man that is extremely possessive of you and known for sleeping with anything that moves come out of your bedroom in the morning. In the morning when he was supposed to have been over the night before. So that means he stayed the night. I'm not stupid Y/n."
You finally understood what his reaction was about. It was understandable although you thought that he could have talked rather than punching Hyunjin. "It's not like that Felix. Him and I have a completely platonic relationship. Nothing happened."
"I doubt that," Felix said bitterly.
Now you were angry, "do you not trust me?"
"I don't trust him," Felix said.
"He has nothing to do with this. He's my friend, and has been for far before I met you. I would never cheat on you, or anyone and there is nothing between us I don't know why you're so insistent on that. You have never once before this communicated that you have an issue with Hyunjin and my relationship and then you come in and fucking attack him for no reason."
"You're worried about him?" Felix was shouting.
"Of course I'm worried about him. I fucking love him." You stopped, realizing what had slipped past your lips.
Felix just looked at you. Hurt highlighted in his eyes as he heard you speak the words that he had so desperately wanted to hear, except it wasn't for him.
"I mean as a friend Felix. Not like that." You were pretty sure that was the truth. You loved Hyunjin as a friend. You always had and you weren't allowed anything else.
"I think you should go."
You weren't sure what else you could do. You left him alone.
A few moments later Felix heard another insistent knock on his door. "I don't know what else you could possibly have to say to me-" he realized it was his roommate.
"You seem disappointed," Minho observed.
"No I'm not. I just thought that maybe she had come back." He was disappointed. He wanted her to be here, even though he really didn't want to see her again. She always made him have such complicated feelings.
"What happened?" It was rare that Minho pried like this, so Felix was a bit surprised at his line of questioning.
"Nothing. I just don't think it'll work out between us."
"Really? Hmm, I liked her for you."
Felix let out a frustrated sigh, plopping down in his gaming chair, "I like her too."
"Is it because of her 'bestie' " Minho emphasized the word with air quotes.
Felix just nodded before going on, "she just told me she loves him before leaving. I think it's kinda hard for a relationship to recover from that."
Minho frowned, "I heard the rest of what she said. She said he was just a friend. And I don't usually vouch for people but she's good and the cats really like her."
"He is so obviously not a friend. Even if she doesn't know it yet, he's definitely trying to keep her for himself."
"So you're going to let him win?"
----
"Hey Y/n" Chan welcomed you at the door.
"Is he home?" you didn't have to say his name, Chan always knew who you came for.
"In his room."
"You know there's other people that live here," Seungmin shouted from the living room.
You flashed him a smile before jogging up the stairs and knocking on Hyunjin's door. You heard a faint come in.
Hyunjin sat at his desk, painting something. He turned when he heard the door open. A warm smile spreading across his face. The smile quickly dropped when he saw your tear stained face.
He took you in his arms, pulling you close to him, pressing your face to his chest. His hand found it's way into your hair and he ran his fingers through it soothingly. You melted into his chest, letting the tears flow again.
He held you for a while, letting you cry for a bit before taking your face in his hands so you would look at him.
"You know it breaks my heart when you cry," he said wiping the tears from your face using his thumbs. "What happened?"
"Felix and I are over," you said it just above a whisper, tears falling freely.
Hyunjin felt relief, joy even that he wouldn't have to worry about Felix in your life anymore. The feeling lasted only a second as he heard how broken your voice sounded. He had never seen you this sad over a breakup before. He had never seen you even sweat a breakup before, you usually didn't give two shits when things ended with whatever loser you chose to give your time to. But now you were in front him, crying over a guy who didn't deserve you anyways. Hyunjin's heart sank to a deep pit in his stomach. He felt pangs of hurt, maybe because you were hurting.
He set his feelings aside. He truly couldn't stand to see you so miserable. You cuddled back into his chest, he felt comfortable and warm and you needed it as you processed that you had lost Felix.
Hyunjin led you to sit down on his bed, taking a seat next to you and taking you into his arms once again. Your tears had stopped, you felt soothed wrapped up in him.
"You were too good for him Y/n. He's not worth all your tears,"
"I wasn't. He loved me." It hurt to realize that his love would be gone. It had felt like a burden but now it felt like whatever chance you had at love had gone with him. He was wonderful, and he loved you the way that you were. You should have just loved him back. You hated yourself for not falling as fast as he had.
Hyunjin broke through your thoughts, "I love you."
You let out a sigh, "it's not the same Hyunjin." You looked up at him with a small smile to reassure him that you were okay. He hesitated, as if he wanted to say more, but he didn't, he let his heart sink deeper.
"But you didn't love him back."
"I think I could have. If I had more time," you feared that whatever chance you had at love had gone with Felix. He was perfect for you, the best fit and the most feelings you'd felt for a man after... You didn't finish the thought.
You took a deep breath in. Ready to move on and try to not focus on what could have been. You took Hyunjin's hand in yours, giving it a squeeze, "what were you painting?"
Hyunjin described the scene from a movie that he thought was beautiful. He spoke about the background and what made the scene perfect for him to paint. He talked about what techniques he could use to bring it to life. He talked about all the things that made him love it but he left out the part where he loved it because he saw how you smiled when you had watched that exact scene. And as he talked, he held you close, fingers laced with yours. Holding you close, worrying about how much of you he may have lost to Felix. You were hurt, more than he expected you to be. But you chose him in the end.

So me and @lonelystczennie have been working on a project for a while now that is both of our babies. Around the time the Korea Elle shoot happened for Hyunjin, we both showed interest in this concept. I wouldn't have been able to write this without @lonelystczennie she is one of the best writers I have seen and I love her dearly. Everyone should follow her BTS account @7ndipity

3.3k wrds. CHAPTER ONE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n sat in a chair in the theatre hall of SNU between classes. The room was large, and the red plush seats were a sight to behold at least in comparison to the underfunded American theatre she was accustomed to. They had just finished Romeo and Juliet for the fall and far on a facade balcony was where their Juliet stood and uttered the famous line “where for art thou Romeo-” Of course in Y/ns opinion she could have done it better.
That was the problem with the South Korean society, or more so any society as far as she was concerned. It was about who looked the part, not that they did it well.
Getting up on stage Y/n started to gather. A music stand, a chair, a folder of monologues she had put together. Holding her imaginary audience captive she readied herself…
“To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles
    And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,”
It was here in this soft moment that Y/n could be herself, be loud, be obnoxious, be in her own little corner of the world where no one would see. She meandered around the stage, using its size to her advantage. Her mind cast back to the years at theatre camps, high school productions, anything to get her hands on stage…where she could be anyone she wanted to be. At least in theory.
“-No more; and by a sleep to say we end the heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
    That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
    To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub: For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,”
While she wasn’t insane, she knew where she stood in the world. She knew what people thought when they looked at her. It was hard to miss, but somewhere in the mean girls brimstone there were glimmers. Glimmers of what might be, what could be..what should be.
“Must give us pause—there's the respect that makes calamity of so long life. For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay, The insolence of office, and the spurns that patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear, To grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after death, The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn No traveller returns, puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience doth make cowards of us all, And thus the native hue of resolution
   Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And enterprises of great pith and moment
  With this regard their currents turn awry and lose the name of action.”
The crowd was silent, jaws agape at the performance that befell them. Until it was a trickled down noise, starting as a low hum, but grew to a roar of applause, A tony! One shouted, Encore!! Brava Brava!! Another yelled from their seats. In the space between classes Y/n got to hold onto her dreams.
Silly Y/n, dreaming big dreams…
            The door to the theatre opened and like a lightbulb flickering out. Y/n turned finding the head director of the art department walking in.
“Ah! Y/n, you here to pick up some costumes?”
            “Oh uh- yea! Just making sure folks didn’t just leave them behind after last show…” Quickly taking the music stand to the side of the stage, it was in reality where Y/n had to stand her ground. So, she batted the stars away and swallowed the butterflies, getting off the stage to grab her bag. Maybe this year’s Musical would be more fun…
~~
Hyunjin slowly followed Jisung across campus towards the art building, watching the dry, faded leaves skitter across the pavement ahead of them, caught in the wind, his hands stuffed in his pockets in an attempt to fight off the growing autumn chill.
Why had he agreed to this?
When he joined the drama department, he hadn’t realized just how much time and effort it actually entailed from him. He didn’t know much about how any of it worked actually, he had signed up mainly just to appease his friends and to get them to stop worrying about him so fucking much…
“I didn’t know this place was here.” He’d commented as they’d navigated their way through the crowded cafe, sitting down at one of the few available tables.
“How have you not noticed it, it’s like two blocks from our place?” Changbin asked.
“I don't know, I just haven't.” He mumbled, taking a sip of his coffee. It was surprisingly good.
“You need to get out of the house more.” Changbin commented.
He didn’t argue with his roommate, though he didn’t necessarily agree with him. Nowadays he spent most of his time holed up in his room, painting, but he was okay with that. That seemed to be the only thing that made him happy anymore, the only thing that held any real spark for him.
It was quiet for the briefest moment before Jisung suddenly piped up.
“Hey, why don’t you sign up for the theatre department? Most of the guys are already involved in some way, so it’s not like you won’t know anybody." Jisung suggested, referring to the rest of their group of friends.
“I’m not an actor.” Hyunjin said flatly.
“You look like one though, that goes a long way.” Changbin stated, swiping a cookie from Jisungs plate. “The rest, you can learn.”
“And there’s more than just acting involved.” Jisung adds. “There’s writing and production, wardrobe and set dressing, music-”
“You could paint sets!” Changbin offered, earning a side-long glare from Jisung.
“We just finished the Shakespeare production too, so it’d be a good time to join before we start planning for the spring show,” Jisung added.
“Why do I feel like you rehearsed this?” Hyunjin asked. They glanced between each other guiltily.
He knew what they were doing, they just wanted to get him out of his room, out of his apartment, out of the headspace that he’d been living in these past few months. They’d tried a few similar tactics in the past, and while he appreciated the gesture, he really didn’t see much point to it. He didn’t see much point to anything anymore if he was being honest. Still, he knew they wouldn’t relent until he agreed to something.
“I’ll think about it.” He offered, satisfying them for the moment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, as he trailed behind his friend, he felt a weak flutter in his chest.  Anxiety? Probably, but there was also something else, something faint, more pleasant.  Excited? He hadn’t felt excited by much since-
No, no. We’re not thinking about that anymore.
He shook his head, quickly following Jisung through the door of the auditorium. Maybe they were right, maybe a change of scenery would be good…
The auditorium was abuzz at SNU. That winter was to be the planning and prep phase for the spring musical, and every theatre geek on campus was somewhere in that room trying to live out their slice of life anime dreams.
Y/n was in the back of the theatre typing on her laptop, busy working herself away already for what she had planned this quarter. Her theatre friends, Chan, Seungmin, Felix, Han, Jeongin, Changbin, and Minho all tended to arrive late. Leaving her to babysit the freshmen if the art director wasn’t in.
This year as part of his senior project Seungmin was going to direct and produce the Musical with the help of his friends. She was glad to be part of it; just didn’t think being late necessarily set a good example for everyone that was new.
The doors to the side stage opened and sauntering in was her band of misfits. Or at least that's what the group chat was called.
With a…new person in tow. His shoulders risen to his ears and yet his gate was sluggish. Shuffling and looking at the ground. Y/n found herself walking down the aisle to the white fold out table with stuff for the crew putting her bag down.
“So glad you cared to join us- oh great leaders~” She bowed dramatically to Seungmin and Chan. She laughed and rolled her eyes at Seungmin flipping her off.
“Yeah, yeah, let’s just get on with this.” He said, trailing after her down the aisle.
The light peal of laughter drew Hyunjin’s attention, his eyes flicking up from the floor, quickly scanning the group until he found its owner. She was turned partially away from him, but he could still make out part of her features. Round apple cheeks, bright eyes that disappeared into half crescents as she smiled, her whole body moving as she spoke animatedly with Seungmin about something. He didn’t realize he had frozen, staring at her, until she looked up and met his gaze.
“Um, hi?” She offered, looking at him curiously.
“Oh, Y/n, this is our friend, Hyunjin. He just joined the group. Hyunjin, this is Y/n. She’s in charge of keeping us from accidentally setting the building on fire.” Han said, gesturing between the two of them before quickly snagging the chair closest to Minho’s, as per usual.
“Don’t pin that kind of responsibility on me!” She shot back before offering a warm smile to Hyunjin. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you.” He said quietly, finding himself unable to look away from her.
“Alright, should we get started?”  She nodded slightly before turning back to the rest of the group.
After rousing games of zip, zap, zop, freeze and change, and traditional ice breakers for the lonely extrovert, Y/n found herself sitting in the audience scrolling her phone while the rest of the crew bickered over what to do in earnest. Her eyes drifted to the new boy.
…Hyunjin?
His face was a lack luster pale like he hadn’t seen the sun in over two weeks. But his eyes were an abyss. No real emotion, seemed to be dragged here by their friends. Which- was how they got her to come in the first place; now it's their 3rd show season all together. His clothes hung on his body like a wire frame in a department store. Out of place, but far more expensive than the financial aid in her bank account could dream of. Catching his eyes, her own fell back to the screen in her hand. Maybe her cheeks were red from the smut she was reading earlier, or just being stared down by a dark prince type.
Y/n had gotten used to living in and around very attractive people. It was the land of the Idol.
There were enough plastic surgeons to go toe to toe with the number of Walmart’s back home. Everyone had someone they wanted to be, to look like, to sound like, to replace.
There just was no one like Hyunjin…He was who boys put up on their wall as inspiration, and girls put on their wall to admire. She dreaded to think what came to mind when she was caught looking.
~~~~~
“Beautiful, ethereal, the human incarnation of a Renaissance Goddess.” Every word or phrase that came to mind didn’t seem to do justice to the woman sitting just a few seats away from Hyunjin. ‘Y/n.’ Her name danced around the inside of his head like a lyric from a forgotten song, foreign and yet somehow familiar. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, trying several times to redirect his attention towards his friends, who were clearly in the middle of some heated argument, Jisungs voice echoing loudly through the hall in frustration, but each time, he found himself drawn back to her.
He couldn’t understand it, every little thing she did seemed to hypnotize him. The way her fingers danced lightly across the screen of her phone, brow creased in concentration as she read, sending occasional curious glances in his direction, sending a small jolt of electricity through his system every time her eyes locked with his, even for the briefest moment.
His heart thundered in his chest; mouth dry as his mind raced to figure out what he should do. Should he try to strike up another conversation with her? What would he even say? Every time she glanced in his direction, his mind went completely blank. Maybe it would be better for him to keep his distance? He didn’t know how long he sat there like that, observing her from afar, before Chan suddenly spoke up.
“Y/n, I need another adult!”
She jumped slightly at the sudden use of her name, making the glasses she was wearing slip a little further down her nose.  Cute. He bit back a grin, watching as his friend approached her.
“Can you please explain to them why Dracula is a severely overdone production right now and how-”
“Actually I really like Dracula,” She interjected, stopping Chan in his tracks. “I think it’d be a great idea for the spring production. “What do you think, Hyunjin?” He froze as she suddenly glanced over at him.
“I-” He stuttered, his stomach doing somersaults at the way his name sounded slipping from her lips. “I think it would be good.” He managed to agree, causing her face to light up in a triumphant grin as she turned back to Chan.
“See? Majority vote wins.”
“What do you mean you wanna do Dracula? It’s cringey-” Chan exclaimed.
“Says the man who at my birthday went on a tirade about how aegyo is cute and it should be embraced…sir you are a master of cringe- embrace ego death it wouldn’t be that bad for you” Y/n laughed. Still, her eyes glanced at Hyunjin, hoping he didn’t mind that she brought him more into the conversation. Her hand reached up and pinched his hyungs cheek. “-plus, vampires are hot- if you don’t think you could pull off being a sexy vampire just say so”
Chan's eyes widened and he gasped in faux horror. Y/n smiled triumphantly looking to Seungmin with a raised brow, silently asking for his thoughts.
“Director!!” Han yelled clinging onto Seungmin's arm trying to force him into receiving his love and affection “Mom said it's okay! Let’s do sexy vampire show!”
“I told you to stop calling me that!” Y/n yelled back pulling Han off.
While they all ended up bickering about the ethics of sexy vampires, Changbin’s eyes found Hyunjins. Staring at Y/n as she manhandled Han to get off their mutual friend. Was…that a blush on his cheeks?
There was a light in his eyes that Changbin hadn’t seen in so long.
It was a welcome change, maybe with some encouragement, Hyunjin could find his way back to himself again. Or- that was the hope at least.
Hyunjin looked up from his middle-distance stare to see Han chasing Y/n around the stage and her dodging his antics.
 “!would-” “-yoU” “QUIT-” “IT?!” She shrieked bobbing and weaving from the younger’s attempts to grapple (he would say hug) her. A small smile teased at the corner of his lips as he watched her interact with his friend, admiring the grace and agility she moved with. I wonder if she dances-
“Alright that’s enough, Han!” Chan called, finally managing to capture the hyper younger man in a tight bear hug, allowing rehearsal to get underway at last. Chan eventually catches Han, and play rehearsal could truly start.
Y/n sat in an auditorium seat in the front row, while the rest of the boys spoke to the incoming freshmen for that year. Explaining Dracula, what it entailed and if they were uncomfortable with it to go now, no hard feelings, but best for them to see just who they could work with.
~~~~
It was a rather daunting undertaking, but Y/n planned to be in charge of costumes and wardrobe for the year's productions at SNU, and hopefully for the coming seasons as well.
 Not by choice of course, but rather had resigned herself to the fact that the cost of auditioning, the cost of being good, but not good enough, the cost of being ensemble as great as ensemble is, was too much. She had a skill set that was fit for behind the scenes work, might as well embrace it. The boys were getting names, contact information, and the like as Hyunjin decided to test the waters, coming over to sit near Y/n, keeping an empty seat between the two of them so as to avoid potentially making her feel crowded.
“So,” He cleared his throat awkwardly, catching her attention. “How do these things usually go?”
“Well,” She sat up a little straighter. “Once we figure out the main production team, we start working on things like set designing, auditions, wardrobes-” Hyunjin’s attention began to drift as she spoke, her hands capturing his focus with the way they moved and flitted about as she spoke, leaving him transfixed. “What department are you interested in joining?” Her question shook him out of his daze, his eyes snapping back up to meet hers.
“Uh, I don’t know yet.” He said. “What department are you working in?”
“Costumes.” She answered with a small, amused grin.
“I might try that then.” He said quickly.
She laughed, or more chuckled. Almost one could think she just cleared her throat, but the smile on her face would prevent the assumption. It was enough though. Hyunjin had fireworks in his soul blowing off and he didn’t know how to stop it. Not that he would want too of course.
“You should audition though! Everyone should give it a shot; you won’t know what you don’t try.” Y/n said in an attempt at being encouraging to the newcomer.
“Are you then? Going to Audition?”
“Nah- not this year, It’s Seungmins project, I wanna support him best I can and that is with costumes.” She smiled and leaned back in her chair.
Looking at Hyunjin Y/n couldn’t help but notice the bags under the boys eyes, the flat expression wore thin and the smile he dawned was tired. Her heart ached, but not in pity, it was in recognition. She knew what it was like for the lights to go out behind ones eyes…thats what happened when she moved to South Korea.
The main 7 that adopted her brought her back to life and now there was Hyunjin. In a similar position to where she was, and maybe with some musical theatre shenanigans he would find his way back to wherever he fell off.
            “Y/N do you think you could get the phantom costumes from freshman year?!” Seungmin raised his voice above the chatter. Her head whipped to the sound of her name and rolled her eyes. “What do you think?!” She shouted back only to bow her head at Hyunjin briefly to go join his friends little circle that had been made. Leaving him, to watch her walk away.
Hyunjin watched her join their other friends with a faint pull in his chest as she went. “Y/n”, everything about her seem to draw him in, though he couldn’t quite place the reason why. Was it the bright flash in her eyes as she spoke? The warmth that colored her cheeks as she laughed? Her very being seemed to exude a warm, calming quality that he hadn’t experienced in another person before. He shook his head, looking away from the others as he tried to collect himself.
Was he seriously this infatuated with her after only a half hour?
It wasn’t impossible, he knew he tended to be rather intense when it came to these types of things, he’d been told that more than once in the past, but something about her seemed to strike a different chord within him.

-LONELY BOY-
Aloner is someone who prefers to do things alone. Hyunjin most of his life could have been referred to as a loner. It wasn’t until Sophomore year of college when he finally found a group of friends that brought him out of his shell. When he was in high school he didn’t really have friends and never went to parties or anything. He spent most weekends home in his room working on either drawing or painting. When he finally moved away for college he thought this might be his chance for things to be different. Freshman year he tried to get out of his shell some more. He found some friends and went to parties here and there.
Junior year he moved off campus and moved in with Changbin and some of his friends. Living with friends really pushed him out of his comfort zone and gave him a chance to really grow. He even became close with Felix, one of Minho’s friends.
Junior year was an interesting year for Hyunjin, he seemed lost in his art. Most of his free time was dedicated to attempting to paint a whole series painting for an exhibit. He needed to finish twenty paintings in five months. If all went right they would auction off his paintings and he could make some decent money to hold him over while he worked on new paintings to sell.
For the last week Hyunjin had been trapped in his room attempting to figure out this painting. He was only leaving the apartment to go to class. Sitting at the kitchen table next to his roommates Minho and Angel he was more tired than he normally was. His newly bleached hair was falling in his face as he stared at the cup of coffee Minho had placed in front of him. Pushing his fingers through his messy hair he sighed. He was struggling to figure out what his next painting needed to be. Looking up he found Angel staring at him, her eyebrows were knitted together as she focused on him.
“You know eating is essential to living right?” she says pushing the plate of toast that was in the middle of the table closer to him.
His stomach growled, reminding him he hadn’t eaten since lunch yesterday. If it wasn’t for his roommates he would probably forget to do basic tasks at this point. These twenty paintings have taken up all his mental capacity at this point.
“Hyunjin, you need to take a break from this project. You’ve finished four of the paintings and you still have four months,” Angel has pointed out to him before that she’s concerned with how lost he seems to get when he’s focused on one project.
“I think you need to take a break for a day or two,” Minho chimes in.
Hyunjin grabs a piece of toast and doesn’t say anything before taking a bite of the bare white toast. Minho and Angel’s eyes are focused on him as he chews the dry bread. Setting the toast on the table he sighs. “I’ll take a break for the weekend. Felix asked if I wanted to have lunch today with him. He wants me to meet his new roommate.”
“Oh yeah he ended up getting a new roommate right after winter break,” Minho says.
“Is that the trust fund girl?” Angel asks standing up.
“Felix told me a little bit about her. He said she’s sweet but kinda a hot mess.”
Hyunjin hasn't met his friend's new roommate but he’s seen you on instagram. Felix sent him your instagram when you reached out to move in with him. Hyunjin was surprised you were looking for somewhere to live half way into the school year, but according to Felix you got into a blow up with your father and moved out telling him you could live independently.
-LOST GIRL-
You were born with everything you could have possibly wanted, and yet it didn’t matter. Your mother came from old money and your father owns a bank. Your whole life you’ve been surrounded by so many people, and yet you felt so lonely. There were many charity events you attended with your family, and tons of people were there biting at the bit to talk to you, and it didn’t matter. You never fit into this elite society you were brought up in. Your mother was a socialite that thrived in a crowd, and your fathers ego loved to be stroked at these lavish parties.
Growing up you were a well behaved child that did everything anything your parents asked of you. Your older sister was the star of the family. She’s five years older than you, as a preteen you watched as all types of men fell at her feet. You realized in your preteen years you didn’t want to be socialite. You didn’t want people chasing after you for your money, and you sure as hell didn’t want to live as your fathers puppet. His goal was to marry off both his daughters to equally as rich or richer men.
At fifteen you attended your sister's wedding to a very rich man who came from old money just like your mother. The wedding, an event for the decade, was all the upper class could talk about when the Heiress of Brighton Banking was marrying Lee Seok Min. The pair dated for a year before they were engaged. You were fourteen when they started dating and when you first met your future brother in law you thought your sister loved him. You think in the beginning she actually loved him. When your lives have been planned out for you, it's a little hard to be happy. The engagement between them happened right after a fight led to them breaking up. You have a core memory of walking by your fathers office and hearing your sister scream at him that Seokmin didn’t actually love her, and that she didn’t love him either. Standing in the ballroom where the lavish reception was being held you watch your sister carefully. The little faces she would make as her new husband kissed her let you know that this marriage was a political move made for money and social status by your parents and the Lee’s.
After the wedding was when you started to pull back. You stopped attending most events, you threw yourself into focusing on school. You hoped that if you were able to get accepted to a good university far away, maybe you could escape your parent’s control.
Senior year of high school was when you started to rebel. You became more social that year of high school. Freshly eighteen you started doing everything to avoid any event your family attended. When all the money in the world is in your hands it’s not hard to find bad habits. Parties with people from school became your favorite pastime. Occasionally you found yourself with a popular boy who had a fondness for sex and white powder he liked to snort.
Many nights you passed out at his luxury house doing anything you possibly could to avoid going home. The sunlight would come up on Sunday morning and you would pull yourself away from his bare body. Stumbling into your house sometimes hungover and sometimes completely sober you didn’t try to be sneaky. Your parents were well aware of how much you hated being home. Your mother asked you to stop acting up once, but when you informed her your boyfriend was a popular rich boy from the Byun family and she suddenly didn’t care. There was a stinging feeling in your chest when you realized your mother didn’t love you like you thought she did. She loved the idea of you elevating your family's social status even more than your sister did.
College was your great escape, at least you thought it was. The problem was you didn’t get accepted into a university far away. Instead you found yourself at an amazing university with a great academic program near home. Freshman year you were still seeing the same rich popular boy, he had the same love for white powder and sex. Since the beginning of your relationship with him you’ve tried his favorite pastime a couple times but tried to stay away from it. That relationship burned down when you found him in bed with someone else. The beginning of sophomore year was a blur, you threw yourself into focusing on school, and occasionally found yourself fighting with your father. Sophomore year things between you and your father got worse.
During the winter of sophomore year you snapped when your father informed you he wanted you to start dating a very rich boy named Kim Doyoung who was attending the same university as you. You went on one date with the boy and quickly realized that your father fully planned on having you married to him by next winter. A screaming match ensued between you and your father. You told him all about how you aren’t some puppet you can control.
“I refuse to live in a loveless marriage,” you screamed.
“Watch your tone child,” he sat at his desk, barely fazed by your screaming.
“Wendy doesn’t love Seokmin, and I won’t marry someone just for money like she did.”
The screaming match went on for too long and it ended with you telling him you needed to move out. This is the fight that led to you getting drunk to forget how hurt you were. You lived with one of your friends from school Seungmin’s couch for a week before he helped you find a place to stay. He recommended his classmate Felix who had an open room. Using the money from your trust fund you reach out to Felix to move in.
Just because you're away from home doesn't mean your fights with your father stopped. Even away from he tried to control your life.
You quickly became friends with Felix, and he quickly realized that the stress of dealing with your father was getting to you. Two weeks into living with him you went to a party and got wasted after a screaming match with your father. You called Seungmin and he came to your rescue before taking you home. Sitting on the bathroom floor puking up all the dark liquid you had drunk Felix held your hair back and took care of you.
-LONELY BOY-
Friday afternoons Hyunjin normally hung out with Felix. They would normally order coffee after their lab they had together and then would go back to Felix’s house and get any homework they needed to work on done. Their homework sessions normally lasted two hours before Felix had to go to his next class during the evening.
This Friday had been going just like it normally did. Hyunjin walked into Felix’s apartment with his coffee in hand. Sitting at the small black kitchen table he worked on his art history homework that was taking up too much time.
The front door swung open and a very drunk girl stumbled in. Felix shut his laptop and immediately rushed over to you as you fell on the floor attempting to take off your boots. “YN not again” Felix drops to his knees in front of you.
“Hi,” your voice is high pitched as you sway a little bit.
Hyunjin shuts his laptop and watches unsure on what to do as Felix is talking to you. Felix helps you remove your boots that you were struggling with.
“YN how much did you drink?” Felix asks, realizing right away how drunk his roommate was. Hyunjin stood there unsure of what to do.
“I don’t know. I feel sick,” you mumbles.
Felix pushed your hair away from your face, “did you get in a fight with your dad again.” From what Felix had told him you only got drunk when you and your father got into blow up screaming matches. He said it’s only happened a handful of times.
You swayed a little before Felix pulled you into his chest. Hyunjin was frozen in place, unsure of what to do.
“Are you going to puke?” Felix asked, rubbing your back as he held you close.
“I think so,” you mumbles with the nausea feeling taking over you. “I can’t walk you,” you whined.
Felix takes a deep breath, still rubbing your back. Hyunjin moves closer so he stands right by them and Felix. “Do you need me to carry her?” He finally speaks.
Felix looks up at his friend with a pleading look in his eyes, “please I can’t lift her.”
Hyunjin squats down behind you. He pulls you away from your roommate and you look up at the beautiful boy with long bleached hair. You smile as you close your hazy eyes, unable to focus on him. Without another word he picks you up bridal style and carries you out of the living room. You looked up at him trying to focus on his beautiful lips. How would it feel to kiss someone with pillow soft lips. Reaching up you touch the soft skin that runs across his jaw. Hyunjin feels conflicted suddenly as you touch him in your drunken state.
“Who are you?” Your voice is low and barely audible.
“Hyunjin,” he says as he sits you down on the cold tile floor near the toilet.
“You’re the boy who is always leaving his painting stuff here,” you mumbled.
Before Hyunjin can even respond you start to puke up the dark liquid you drank to forget your fight with your father. Felix came rushing in and held back your hair as you threw up. He rubs your back saying it’s okay. The same sweet encouraging words he always tells you.
Hyunjin watches as Felix gently takes care of you for about thirty minutes before he excuses himself to go get you a bottle of cold water. He comes back into the bathroom handing you the bottle of water and asks for you to drink it. He asks Hyunjin to talk with him in the hallway.
“Hyunjin I hate to do this but I need to go to class. Can you possibly take care of YN until I get home. It’s my Lit class I can’t miss. The class is two hours long and I’ll come right back when I get out of class.” Felix stares at Hyunjin with a pleading look in his eyes.
Before today Hyunjin had never even met you properly and now Felix was asking him to take care of you.
Felix went to class and for a while Hyunjin sat on the bathroom floor next to you. At first he was unsure of what he should do. Sitting on the floor leaning against the wall you started to sober up as you stared at your roommate's friend.
“Are you okay?” he asks.
Bringing the water bottle up to your lips, you drink the cold water. “I’m better now.”
This is the first time Hyunjin officially met you. He sat on the bathroom floor with you for about an hour before you complained about being hungry.
Bending down, he helps you stand up. He helps guide you to the living room where you sit down on the living room couch. He goes off into the kitchen and works on making something to eat. He comes back in with a plate of toast and citrus flavored soda.
“My mom used to always give me this when I was sick growing up.” He sits down on the couch next to you holding out the plate.
Slowly you eat the dry toast hoping it will help fill your empty stomach. You move so you’re sitting on the couch with your back against the arm rest and your legs are curled up close to you.
-LONELY GIRL-
You haven’t ever had someone look after you other than Felix while you’ve been drunk. In the short period of time you’ve known Felix he’s gone out of his way to take care of you when you’ve been a mess, but you didn’t expect his friend who doesn’t really know you to be as kind. You’ve seen him a few times in passing but you never met him. The first time you saw him in your kitchen with Felix you automatically noticed how beautiful he is. Now sitting next to him on the couch you can’t help but stare at his beautiful full lips.
The longer you sit there on the couch eating the better you start to feel.
“Do you want to talk about what you’re feeling?” he asks, holding out the citrus soda for you.
“No,” you shake your head before taking another bite of your toast.
There is something so gentle about the way he looks at you. There is zero judgment in his eyes as he watches you.
“Okay that’s fine.”
You finish the toast he made you and you work on slowly drinking your soda when Felix walks into your apartment. He shuts the door and takes his shoes off. He stops in front of the couch and looks between you and Hyunjin. He sits down on the couch next to you. Reaching over he rests your hand on your knee and gently squeezes it.
“Are you feeling better?”
Silently you nod your head.
“Thank you for taking care of her,” he looks over at Hyunjin.
“No problem.”
“I should probably head home, I need to work on my painting.” You stay on the couch as you watch Hyunjin leave. Felix walks him out before he comes back into the apartment and finds you in the same spot you had been in since Hyunjin helped you to the couch.
“Did you have a bad fight with your dad?” Your roommate hasn’t known you very long but he knows all about your struggles with your family.
“Yes,” you whisper, embarrassed that you let your fight with your father get the best of you.
The rest of the night you spent in your room trying to rest and sober up more. When the morning came you couldn’t help but feel embarrassed that Hyunjin took care of you while you were drunk. Only Felix had really ever seen you that drunk.
Looking over at the clock on your nightstand you were reminded you had class in an hour. You got up to start your day. You brush your teeth and do your hair before getting dressed in something warm to wear for the day. Walking into the kitchen you’re caught off guard when you find Hyunjin sitting at your kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him and his sketch pad. You instantly feel embarrassed this boy had to take care of you while you were drunk. Part of you wants to run, but before you can Felix greets you.
“Good morning YN.”
“Hi,” you awkwardly wave. Sitting down at the small table across from the beautiful boy, Felix placed a cup of coffee in front of you. Hyunjin’s eyes shift from his sketch pad to you a few times as he silently studies you. There is something so gentle about him.
Felix is humming to himself as he’s in the process of mixing together what looks to be his brownies he likes to make. You glance down at the cup of coffee Felix made for you in your favorite yellow cup.
“Thank you for taking care of me,” you whisper just loud enough for Hyunjin to hear.
“I’m glad I could help.” There is a softness behind his eyes, and the way he speaks to you feels sincere.
“How can I repay you for taking care of me?” You feel as if you owe him.
Looking up from his sketch pad again he knits his eyebrows together. “You don’t owe me anything.”
-
It has been a couple weeks since your fight with your dad and the cold winter air has left you feeling a little under the weather.
Luckily you had the day off from class and you could spend the day bundled up on the couch drinking tea. The front door opens and Felix walks in with an exhausted looking Hyunjin. You can’t help but watch him push his fingers through his bleached hair. Felix has mentioned Hyunjin was spending most of his time at the art studio attempting to get ready for a huge art exhibit where he was going to sell his art.
“YN, Hyunjin is gonna hang here while I run to the store for a little while,” Felix says rushing off to his room. Felix leaves as quickly as he arrives and Hyunjin is left in your kitchen sitting at the table with his sketchbook. Getting up off the couch and walking into the kitchen you find Hyunjin making a cup of tea. Looking in your fridge you attempt to find something to eat.
“Are you hungry?” Hyunjin asks, breaking the silence between you.
Turning around you find him watching. He looks so tired sitting there. He is dressed in baggy jeans and a gray hoodie.
“I think we’re out of ramen and I’m not really good at cooking,” you’re a little embarrassed that you don’t know how to cook much more than ramen.
“Did you want me to help you cook something?”
You couldn’t quite figure out why Hyunjin was always offering to help you. Before the night of the fight with your father you hadn’t spoken to him before.
“I would really appreciate that.”
Without saying a word Hyunjin starts moving around your kitchen pulling items out of the fridge and out of the cupboard. You watch him carefully wondering if you could learn to cook from him.
“Thank you again for taking care of me,” you say softly.
“No problem. I’m glad I can help.” He plates lunch for both of you and sits down at the table. You sit across from him. You take two bites of food and you can feel his eyes on you.
“You can say whatever is on your mind,” you say between bites.
“I know it’s not my place to say anything because I don’t really know you or your situation.” You know where this conversation is going. Felix and Seungmin have had similar conversations with you. “Have you thought about talking to someone?”
“Like who?”
“Like a therapist,” you were in the process of finding a therapist. Seungmin offered to help you find one.
“I’m trying to find one. Hyunjin, I want you to know I don’t drink often. There have just been a few fights with my dad that I have gotten drunk after.”
He pauses staring at you as he pushes his food around on the plate with his fork. “If you’re ever upset. You can always come to me. You are more than welcome at my apartment or I can come here.” He sounds so nervous as he is talking to you. “I would like to give you my number.”
Hwang Hyunjin is a sweet boy and too pure-hearted for you. He barely knew anything about you and he was going out of his way to make sure you knew you weren’t alone.
“I would really love to be able to see you when I’m upset. I feel like having someone to talk to would be nice.”
It’s not long before Felix comes back and somehow convinces Hyunjin to take the day off from his art project. You spent the whole day hanging out with the boys and when dinner time rolled around Felix ordered take out and put on a movie in the living room. From that night on Hyunjin became a new fixture in your life.
Since that evening you spent with Hyunjin and Felix. Hyunjin has seemed to be at your apartment nonstop. Felix often leaves him alone with you and you can’t really complain. You’ve grown to really enjoy his company. Many evenings have been spent with Hyunjin drawing in your living room with you watching him.
It’s another day and Hyunjin came over before Felix had class. You asked if he wanted to stay and hang out with you once Felix left for the day.
“What are you doing this evening?” You asked walking over to the kitchen table where Hyunjin was sitting working in his sketchbook.
“I need to go to the studio and try to finish part of my painting,” he looks even more stressed than normal.
“Would you be interested in having some company?”
He knits his eyebrows together studying you for a moment. “You want to hang out with me?”
“I like to think we’re friends so I would like to hang together” The more often Hyunjin comes over with Felix the closer you feel like you have grown to him.
“I want to hang out with you. Yeah you can come with me to the studio.”
The walk to Hyunjin studio isn’t long. The whole way there he talks about this painting he’s been trying to finish. He tells you all about how he is trying to make money off these paintings.
Walking into the studio he leads you over to a corner that he’s clearly taken over. Sitting his backpack down on the floor he pushes his fingers through his hair. You notice right away he seems more nervous than normal.
He takes a deep breath as he starts setting his supplies up. You sit in a chair by the window near him. Your eyes are focused on him as you watch him start to paint. The studio he paints in is very relaxing. You’ve heard from Felix that most of the summer Hyunjin spent here working on painting to sell. You can’t help but admire how driven Hyunjin is to make a living off his art.
“This studio is very peaceful,” you break the comfortable silence that had formed between you. He turns away from his canvas and smiles at you. Getting off the stool you walk towards him accidentally bumping a cup of paint brushes knocking them on the floor. Your cheeks burn with embarrassment as you squat down and start picking them up. He leans down squatting in front of you. “Clearly I’m the opposite of peaceful when I’m here. I’m clearly a walking disaster in every aspect of life.”
He paused, staring at you. He reaches out grabbing your hand before you could pick up another paint brush. “You are far from a walking disaster.” You don’t say anything, you just stare at him. There is sincerity behind his eyes like there always is when he looks at you.
“You have to say that,” you stand up leaving a few paint brushes on the floor.
Hyunjin picks them up and stands in front of you. Silently he reaches out pushing loose hair behind your ear. His calloused fingertips gently grazed your skin. He’s never been this close to you before in what feels like an intimate setting. “Your presence is really calming to me. I really enjoy your company.”
You’ve never felt like somebody truly enjoyed company like Hyunjin does.
“I like spending time with you-“ you pause feeling slightly embarrassed. “I like spending time with Felix and Seungmin, but things are different with you.” You’re aware you have a crush on him and you’re starting to fall for him, but you can't bring yourself to admit it out loud.
“I really like spending time with you.” His hand is lingering on your cheek as you stare at him for a moment. He takes his bottom lip between his teeth before pulling away from you. “You know if you ever want to hang out with me outside your apartment all you have to do is ask.”
“I would like to hang out more outside my apartment.”
Things between you and Hyunjin changed. He became someone you talked to every day. Even if he didn’t come over to your apartment you texted every day and sometimes you even went over to his place. You had been avoiding talking to your parents in attempts to avoid fighting. Many weekends, you find Hyunjin sitting on your couch with you hanging out and watching movies. Even a few times he convinced you to meet up with some of his friends. You quickly learned you liked Chan and his best friend turned girlfriend.
Things seemed to be going pretty good for you and you were pretty happy. Seungmin and Felix's suggestion to talk to a therapist was starting to help. Even though sometimes you felt like you were rambling on about the same thing it was nice to know someone listening.
You tried your hardest to grow and move on from the crippling feeling you were trapped under your parents hold on your life. You spent most of your time with Hyunjin these days or Seungmin, the only other person who truly understood what your life has been like.
Sitting in a coffee shop you were listening to Seungmin talk about some girl he has a bunch of classes with. For the last month Seungmin has been complaining about her. You’ve known him long enough to know he clearly has a crush on this girl.
“Enough about me and this annoying girl. How are things going with you? I feel like I don’t see you nearly as much as I used to. You’re always with Hyunjin now,” you can’t miss the smirk that plays across his lips as he mentions Hyunjin's name.
“I’m okay. Things with my dad are still bad, but I’m seeing a therapist now. Things with Hyunjin are okay.”
“Just okay?” He brings his latte up to his lips.
“He’s my friend Seungmin,” you know your friendship with Hyunjin is odd and it’s clear you like him and you’re pretty sure he likes you.
“I think you like him more than you’re admitting,” he smiles. You’ve known Seungmin for years and he’s always seemed to know what you’re thinking.
“What about you? It seems like you like this girl from your class,” you tease him knowing it will rile him up.
“(YN) you can’t change the subject.”
“He’s my friend and I think he sees me as just his friend,” you sigh.
“Maybe next time you see him you should let him know you like him.”
After your lunch with Seungmin you seemed to think about Hyunjin even more than normal.
-LONELY BOY-
It was a Saturday night and Hyunjin’s apartment was quiet. Changbin and his girlfriend went to a bar with Jisung, Chan and their girlfriends and Minho and Angel went out to dinner. You had a long and tiring day of studying so you decided to call Hyunjin asking if you could come over. Any time you texted him asking to hang out Hyunjin was happy. He had a huge crush on you but was too afraid to admit it. Spending time with you was really bringing him out of his shell.
Sitting on his bed he sketched you without you paying attention. You had become his muse without even trying.
You were scrolling through your phone but kept glancing up at him any chance you got.
“Hyunjin, have you had a girlfriend in college?” You can’t help being curious. Sitting your phone down on the bed next to you.
He pauses looking at you. Biting his bottom lip he studies your face. Taking a deep breath he sighs, “I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’ve never been in a relationship.”
“Oh.”
“I’m quite inexperienced when it comes to girls.” He felt embarrassed admitting this. In his friend group he’s aware he was the only virgin and the only one who was quite inexperienced.
“What do you mean by that?”
“I'm not exactly great at talking to girls.”
“You’re fine talking to Bambi, and Angel,” you pointed out his friendship with the girls in the friend group.
“They’re like sisters to me. I’m not exactly experienced in talking to girls I would like.”
“Oh,” you stop talking. Pausing, you stared at him looking slightly hurt. “Do you see me as a sister?”
He sets his sketchbook down on his bed and looks at you for a long moment. “No.”
“But can you talk to me?”
“You’re different,” a blush creeps across his cheek.
“Is that good?”
“YN what do you want me to say here?” He’s definitely flustered by this conversation. He didn’t plan on confessing he liked you.
“I don’t know. I like you Hyunjin and I was just curious if you liked me.”
“I like you,” he’s trying his hardest to sound confident. The smile that spreads across your face is so heartwarming to him and he can’t help but get butterflies.
“Have you kissed a girl before?” Leaning forward, you get closer to him.
He nods his head. “I’ve kissed people before but haven’t gone much further with anyone.” He still feels embarrassed confessing how innocent he is. He’s managed to get through a few years of college with no sexual experience.
“Have you ever thought of doing more with someone?”
He leans in closer to you really hoping you want to kiss him as badly as he wants to kiss you. “Yes, it’s not that I don’t want to do more. I was a loner in high school and didn’t really have friends and then in college I just had my friend group and I’ve always seen Bambi and Angel as just friends.” He pauses wondering if he rambling on too much. “I’m not exactly great at flirting or letting someone know I’m interested in them.”
“You flirt with me though,” you lean in even closer.
His eyes are wide as he stares at you. He knows you’re teasing him and trying to rile him up, but he knows there’s no malicious intent behind your words. He knows you actually like him.
“Everything with you is different,” he whispers. Your nose brushes against his and it’s taking everything in him not to lean forward and press his lips to yours.
“I’m going to assume that’s good,” you whisper with your lips brushing his. “Would you want more with me?”
Pulling away you leaves him sitting there. You move, straddling his thighs as he sits with his back against the headboard. Hyunjin's head feels like it’s spinning as you sit on his thighs.
“Do you want more with me?” You repeat.
“I’m inexperienced with everything outside of kissing,” he rambles with the tips of his ears bright red.
“That’s fine. If you want more you can learn with me,” the boy below you has really broken down the walls you’ve built and you want to make him feel good.
“YN I really like you, like a lot,” his hand gently rubbed your side earning a smile from you.
“That’s good Hyunjin because I really like you.” He can’t help the goofy smile that plays across his lips.
“I want more with you.” He says.
Without saying another you lean forward pressing your lips to his for your first kiss. One hand rests on his cheek as your lips move together. The moment your lips touched Hyunjin felt the sparks he always hoped he would feel when he found the person he truly liked. His hands gripped your sides holding you close, hoping this kiss wouldn’t end.
-LOST GIRL-
Kissing Hyunjin is everything you wanted it to be. The way he sneaks his hand under your sweater so his hand is resting on the bare skin of your side. Your lips move together and you move your body as close as possible. Your legging cover core comes in contact with his already strained jean cover erection. Pulling away you can’t help but smile. Your fingers tangle in his blonde hair tilting his head back slightly earning a low moan from him. His sweet moans are music to your ears.
“Would you like my help with that?” You’re dying to know what it’s like to touch him.
His eyes go wide at your question and he stutters a bit before responding, “do you want to help?”
“I would love to.”
“Okay. What do I need to do?” He’s obviously nervous.
“Just take your jeans off and sit on the edge of the bed in your boxers.” Sitting on the floor between his legs you look up at him through your eyelashes. “Can you push your boxers down your hips?” He lifts his hips freeing his erection. You can’t help but swallow at the sight of him. “Can I touch you?” You want to make sure he’s fully comfortable with you touching him.
Silently he nods watching you. Reaching out you slowly stroke him the first time earning a moan. Your eyes stay locked on his dark eyes as you stroke his length. Watching him fall apart in your hand is something you’ll never forget. He bites his bottom lip attempting to hold back a moan.
You tighten your grip as both your hands work his length. His lips part and a soft moan passes his lips.
“Do you want my mouth?” You look at him through your lashes.
Silently he nods his head.
Leaning forward you lick his blush colored head that is already leaking precum. You want to know what it’s like for him to fall apart in your mouth. You run your tongue along the underside of his length and he whimpers softly. One of your hands rests on his thigh while the other helps with your ministration. He’s longer than anyone you have ever been with so you’re attempting to take him as much as you physically can. His hands grip the bedding below him.
“YN,” he whines.
Your eyes focus on him as you continue to take him in your mouth.
“I’m going to cum,” he moans. The sight of him so close to the brink of the edge is beautiful.
He tenses under your touch as you pull away. You work on pumping his length hoping he finds his release. With a moan he comes shooting ropes on your cheek and hand. The look on his face completely blissed out is something you’ll never forget.
Wiping away the sticky substance that was left on your cheek you can’t help but smile at how blissed out he looks sitting there.
“I can return the favor,” he’s still attempting to catch his breath.
“I’m okay.” Tonight isn’t about you. You got enough pleasure watching Hyunjin fall apart. You don’t want to rush things with him.
“Did you want to stay the night?” He asks with his eyes still closed as he lays back.
Standing up you walk over to the dresser where you see some loose napkins. You wipe away Hyunjin release from your hand and your cheek. He’s pulling up his boxers and laying on the bed. You can feel his eyes trained on your back.
“You never answered my question,” he says.
“Do you want me to stay the night?”
“Of course I do.”
“Did you want to have sex with me?” You’re curious if he just wants to have sex already.
“Yes I do, but I don’t want to do that tonight. I want you to stay so we could maybe watch a movie and cuddle. I don’t want to rush things. I’m new to all of this.”
Nothing else happened that night between you and Hyunjin. You laid in his bed dressed in his hoodie and a pair of shorts cuddled up next to him. The warmth of his body holding you close made you feel warm and cozy. You felt completely relaxed in his embrace.
When the morning sun rose you cuddled up even closer to him burying your head in his chest.
“Sleeping beauty are you awake?” He asked softly.
“I’m not ready to leave this bed.” You snuggle up closer to his body with your head resting in his chest.
He pulls your body even closer to yours. “You never told me what upset you.”
“I got into a screaming match with my dad and for once after the fight I didn’t feel lonely. I didn’t have a desire to drink away my sadness. I wanted to see you, because you make me happy.”
Your morning with Hyunjin was the domestic normalcy you craved your whole life. Not a single relationship you have ever been in was this simple. You sat in his kitchen he shared with his roommate while he made you breakfast. Sitting at the table you sipped on your coffee and watched him. There was a warmth in your chest whenever you thought about the tall boy with bleached hair. You had grown to care about him deeply and it was clear he cared about you.
When Minho and Angel walked into the kitchen together you couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous. Hyunjin ran off to his room to grab something for Minho. It didn’t take long for Minho to walk over and sit with you.
“YN I don’t really know you well. I can only talk from the outside looking in. I know you can be kinda a hot mess, but I think your intentions are good with him.”
“Minho,” Angel put her hand on his shoulder. Part of you feels like you should be hurt by Minho’s words but you can’t be. You know he’s just looking out for Hyunjin and you’re glad he has people who protect him.
“What Minho is trying to say. Hyunjin is a really sweet and innocent soul. Please don’t break his heart. You seem like a really sweet girl. We just are asking you not to hurt him.” You can’t take anything they're saying personally. You know they would say this to anyone.
“I care deeply for him, and he’s the first person outside of Felix or Seungmin who really seems to care about me. I don’t want to hurt him.”
Nobody can say anything else before Hyunjin comes back into the kitchen. “I don’t need you guys protecting me,” Hyunjin says. Everyone’s eyes focus on him for a moment.
“We know that,” Minho walks over patting Hyunjin on the shoulder.
His two roommates leave you and Hyunjin alone in the kitchen again. Hyunjin just stands there staring at you. You can tell he’s at a loss or what he should say.
“Don’t worry, they didn’t hurt my feelings. It’s nice to know they care about you and truly love you.”
He rests his hand on your cheek gently. He takes a deep breath staring into your eyes, “I like you so much.”
“That’s good because I like you a lot too.”
-
It had been a month since your first sleepover with Hyunjin and in that time he had grown to be not only your safe place, but he truly made you happy. Since that night together there had been a few fights with your parents that led to you running to him. With mascara streaming down your face he wiped away your tears. One particularly bad fight led to him asking to take a shower with him so he could wash away your tears. Standing under the hot water he used strawberry scented shampoo and helped by washing your hair. Rinsing your hair you step back so your wet back is pressed up against him. There’s a sense of comfort you feel when you’re with him. You feel erection pressed up against your lower back. He’s chosen to ignore it and not say anything so you do the same. His arms wrapped around you hugging you from being. He presses his lips to your temple earning a smile.
“Was coming here the first thing that popped into your mind?” He asks, breaking the comfortable silence that has formed between you. He was always the first thing on your mind no matter if you’re happy or sad.
“I didn’t have a desire to drink or do anything other than see you. My therapist said that having someone to talk to when I’m upset is helpful. I don’t feel the need to numb my pain.”
“Are you going to stay the night?”
Since that first night you gave him head you’ve explored other aspects of sexual relationships but haven’t fully had sex. You could tell Hyunjin was still nervous and you didn’t want to do anything that would make him unhappy. If or when you finally have sex and he loses his virginity you want it to be on his terms.
“If you want me to stay. I’ll stay.”
You finish showering and Hyunjin helps you dry off before dressing you in some of his clothes. Laying in his bed curled up next him your head is resting on his chest as he’s talking about another painting he had finished. You could listen to him talk about his art forever.
“Did you want to go to the studio in the morning with me?”
“I’ll go anywhere with you,” you whisper.
You listened to him talk for about an hour before you fell asleep in his arms.
-
It’s been a few weeks and Jisung was throwing a party for his girlfriend’s birthday and you didn’t plan on going when Felix invited you, but when Hyunjin brought it up while you were doing your homework sitting in his room while he was painting you couldn’t say no. You hadn’t really hung out with his friend group all at once. You had hung out with Minho and Angel plenty of times. You quickly learned they did everything together and always had wondered if there was something more between them. You had hung out with the couples in the friend group but never all of them together. You really liked Chan’s girlfriend and Chan was a total sweetheart. The other boys were sweet and the same with their girlfriends.
Hyunjin had originally asked for you to ride over to the party with him, but you had to finish an assignment so you needed to show up later. Figuring out what to wear to this party was a little difficult. You wanted to look nice but didn’t want to look like you put too much of an effort in.
Walking into the busy house you couldn’t help but be nervous. Your eyes roamed the room looking for your favorite boy. You found him standing in the middle of the living room. The moment your eyes locked he rushed over to you. He pulls you into a hug pressing his lips to the top of your head.
“Do you want anything to drink?” He asked you as he pulled away.
“Sure.” He leads you off to the empty kitchen.
“What would you like to drink?” He asks.
“Just a beer.”
Before Hyunjin can walk away you reach down grabbing his hand. You step towards him pressing your lips to his for a kiss. You haven’t really kissed him in front of people. Not even in front of Felix. He reached down resting his hand on your cheek. He smiles pulling away from him.
“I really like you Hyunjin.”
“My cherry girl, I really like you,” your stomach feels like it’s filled with butterflies.
“Can you come home with me tonight?”
“Of course,” he leans forward pressing his lips to yours for another kiss.
With a beer in your hand Hyunjin leads you off towards the living room.
Standing next to Hyunjin in the busy living room you feel so comfortable next to him. There was a time before you knew him where you could be in a crowded room and feel so lonely. But when you’re with Hyunjin you feel almost as if you’re home.
He leans down with his lips brushing your ear. Closing your eyes you smile waiting for him to say something. “What are you thinking about?” His hands gently rub your back.
“Do you ever feel lonely in a room filled with people?” You look up at him.
“I did in high school.” He’s told you before high school wasn’t the best for him.
“I did too before I met you and Felix.”
“Do you still feel lonely?”
Shaking your head you can’t help but smile, “not anymore.”
You spend the whole party by Hyunjin's side. You’ve grown to really like Hyunjin and Felix’s friend group. Everyone is really nice and even Minho seems to have warmed up to you. You’re assuming Angel might have something to do with that. You noticed very early on him and Angel seem to be closer than just friends.
After being at the party for a few hours it’s after midnight and a few people have left. You look around noticing all Hyunjin’s roommates are missing. You saw Changbin make his way out the front door a while ago taking his girlfriend with him. You realize you haven’t seen Angel or Minho in a while.
“Did Minho and Angel go back to the apartment?”
“Probably. Minho doesn’t really like parties and if he leaves normally Angel goes with him.”
“Are you ready to go back to my place?” You can’t help but be a little nervous.
“Yeah.”
Arriving at your apartment you notice Felix still at the party and can’t help but be relieved. Taking Hyunjin's hand you lead him off to your bedroom making sure to lock the door behind you.
Hyunjin stands at the foot of your bed nervously fidgeting with the sleeve of his sweater. Walking towards him you lean up pressing your lips to his for a soft kiss.
“What do you want to do tonight?” You pull away from his lips slowly.
“Um-um-“ he’s stuttering letting you know he’s nervous. “Did you want to have sex?”
You can’t help but smile as you nod. The idea of having sex with him is enough to make your body feel like it’s instantly warming up.
Leaning forward you crash your lips into his for a searing kiss. It takes very little effort for you to both work on removing your clothes. With each passing kiss you notice Hyunjin’s nerves are starting to settle.
With each kiss it’s not long before you’re both fully naked.
Sitting on your knees completely naked between his legs. Leaning forward you rest your hand on his chest. His heart is racing fast. You know he’s nervous, he’s made it clear to you he’s not experienced. You’re nervous yourself because he’s really important to you and you want his first time to be special.
“Lay down for me,” you whisper.
You’re both completely naked. Reaching forward you take his hardened length in your hand. You stroke his length earning a beautiful moan from him. Everything about the boy laying below you is captivating.
“Are you sure you want this?” He asked you. If only Hyunjin knew how much you wanted him. “You’re sober right?” The tiny bit of alcohol has nothing to do with how badly you want him. You barely had anything to drink.
“I’m sober,” you purr. You’ve only had one beer at Jisung’s girlfriend's birthday party. You move so you're straddling his lap with his dick nestled between your legs. “I only drank that one beer.”
He sits up again. His hand takes your hips rubbing your wet core against his hardened length. You moan with your lips close to him. Rolling your hips the head of his cock rubs against your sensitive bundle of nerves. A gasp passes your lips as you roll your head back. Hyunjin’s large hands roam your back as if he’s trying to remember how your skin feels. “Baby,” he whimpers, rutting his hips into yours.
“I want all of you,” you moan.
Leaning forward he presses his lips on your neck. He leaves a wet trail of kisses across your skin.“You can have all of me.” His words set a fire in your veins.
“Are you sure you want your first time with me? I’m kinda a mess according to Minho.”
Reaching out his hand resting on your cheek, “there is no one else I would rather have my first time with.”
“I’m on the pill and clean,” you say. You trust Hyunjin and you hope he trusts you. He just nods.
Lifting your hips you take his length in your hand lining it up with your entrance before slowly sinking down. Hyunjin is bigger than anyone you’ve ever slept with before. There is a long moment of silence between you and the only thing that can be heard is both your heavy breathing. The look on Hyunjin's face is something of pure beauty. His eyes are blown with lust, and his beautiful soft lips are parted as staggered breaths pass them. The burning sensation between your legs causes minimal discomfort as you adjust to his size. You could stay like this forever just sitting on him filled you to the brim as you stare at his beautiful face. You take his face in your hands and gently drag your thumb across his cheek.
“Are you ready for me to move?” You ask.
“Yes.”
Slowly you lift your hips and slide back down his length. The blissed out look that plays across Hyunjin's face is absolutely intoxicating.
His hands roam any and everywhere they can reach. You’ve had quite a lot of sex since you lost your virginity but nothing has ever felt this intimate. Your name leaves his lips like a prayer. With each drag of his cock touching just the right spot inside you you can’t help but moan. Keeping a steady pace your lips crash into his muffling the moans that keep passing your lips. One of his hands takes your breast massaging it and earning a gasp as he tweaks your hardened nipple.
“I’m so close-“ he gasps “please- please- please,” he’s pleading desperately on the edge of finding his release. “Please tell me you’re close.”
Nodding your head you reach down to start rubbing your sensitive clit hoping to find your release with him. His lips are all over your neck leaving a trail of wet kisses as you fall apart moaning his name. He takes the leap right with you pulling you down to his lap keeping your body close to his still moaning as he paints your walls white. He doesn’t last very long for his first time, but everything about your time together is perfect. His head rests on your shoulder as he takes slow deep breaths trying to come down from his high. Pushing him back gently he lays down with you still on top of him. He’s still nestled inside you with no sign of pulling out.
“I like you so much,” he whispers before pressing his lips to your shoulder.
“I like you too Hyunjin.”
-
It’s been a month since you and Hyunjin’s first time. Things have been going great. You’re with him practically all the time and he makes you really happy. You’ve done your best to avoid talking to your parents. It’s been quite easy when Hyunjin is great at distracting you. You spend many evenings in the studio with him while he’s painting. You normally sit on the floor watching him while you work on your homework. You can’t help but feel proud watching him complete each of his pieces he’s been working hard on.
Today isn’t a great day for you. Your father managed to get ahold of you and your fight you had was uglier than normal. He can't seem to get past the idea of setting you up in arranged marriage like your sister was practically set up in. The phone call ended with you saying you were done. You told him he no longer controlled your life or got to make decisions for you.
Your screaming match with your father left you a crying mess. You knew when you were upset like this you needed to call Hyunjin or even Felix but you didn’t, instead you reached for the bottle of whiskey you had in your closet you hadn’t touched in a very long time.
Grabbing the bottle you head off to the kitchen grabbing a can of coke and sitting down at the table with a glass in front of you. You quickly drink the first strong concoction you made attempting to help with the anger and sadness taking over you. After multiple therapy sessions and getting to know Hyunjin you know this isn’t helping you. But right now you’re so upset it doesn’t matter.
You make a second drink and sit down as Felix walks into your apartment with Hyunjin right behind him. Felix stops in the kitchen the moment he notices you and steps aside as Hyunjin eyes locked on you. A sad look plays across his face and you instantly feel terrible.
Felix pats Hyunjin’s back and says, “I’m gonna go out to lunch with Seungmin.”
Hyunjin doesn’t say anything as he walks across the kitchen and sits down across from you silently.
The front door shuts letting you know Felix has left, leaving you alone with Hyunjin.
The silence in the room is louder than anything you’ve ever experienced. You instantly regret that you didn’t call Hyunjin the moment you hung up the phone with your father.
You take a sip of your jack and coke, and stare at Hyunjin who is intently watching you. The bitter liquid hits your tongue and your eyes never leave his. Bringing the cup down, you watch him carefully. He seems at loss for words.
“You clearly want to say something,” you break the silence that's formed between you.
He pushes his fingers through his bleached hair that is already showing his dark roots. “Why are you drinking?” He knows you, and he knows that the only reason you would be drinking at eleven in the morning is if you’re upset. Pushing your drink away from you and rubbing your face. How do you tell him that you might lose everything because you told your dad you were done.
“I talked to my dad.”
“I’m assuming it didn’t go well?” he reaches out, taking the cup away from you. You don’t say anything, you just watch him look at the cup. “Maybe you should drink less unless you want to become an alcoholic.”
His words feel like a bucket of ice water poured on you. You bite your bottom lips trying to take in what he just said. His words are harsh but you know he’s saying it only because he cares about you. He’s told you before he doesn’t like you drinking so his words shouldn’t be that shocking. “Maybe you should work less because you’re already a workaholic.”
He just rolls his eyes and shakes his head at your retort. “I’m a workaholic because I need to make money off these paintings.” He gets up walking over to the sink to pour out your drink you’ve barely touched.
You feel like an asshole for calling him a workaholic. You know why Hyunjin works like he does. He’s trying his hardest to support himself. He’s also been trying his hardest not to overwork himself. According to Angel before you Hyunjin didn’t hangout with anyone who wasn’t in his little friend group.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that,” you say softly. You want to cry again at the thought of hurting his feelings.
“YN you know why I made the comment about you drinking?” You don’t say anything, you just stare at him. “It’s because I care about you. I don't just care about you as a friend, I like you a lot and I need you to stop drinking when you fight with your dad. I’m aware you don’t drink every day, but I wish when you were upset you would at least talk to me. I thought you realized I want you to feel like you can always come to me.”
“Hyunjin I told my dad today I’m done with the family. I’m probably going to lose everything. I told him I don’t want to talk to them anymore.”
He doesn’t say anything, he just stares at you for a long moment before silently blinking. Without saying a word he stands up and walks over to your chair and holds out his hand. Taking his hand you stand up. He doesn’t say anything as he pulls you into a hug. He holds you close with your cheek resting against his chest. He rubs your back and you suddenly don’t feel hurt by your fathers words. You hold him close not wanting to let go of the boy who is breaking down your walls.
“You don’t need your fathers approval to be happy,” He pressed his lips to the top of your head. Your eyes brim with tears when you realize your whole life you’ve tried getting away from your fathers plan for you, there was a part of you that so desperately wanted his approval. Salty tears slide down your cheek soaking his tan sweater. “I’m sorry you’re hurt, and I wish you would realize that I would do anything to make you happy.”
Pulling away you look up into his pretty brown eyes. Your hand rests on his cheek, and gently you drag your thumb across his plush bottom lip. Pulling away from him you rub your face pushing away your tears. “(YN) I want you to know I love you.”
Your chest tightened for a moment at his confession. You push away your tears knowing no one will care for you like he does. He’s fallen in love with you after seeing you at your best and your absolute worst. Even seeing you crying a mess he still loves you.
“Hyunjin I love you too.” You’ve known since that night you slept together for the first time you had fallen for him.
“Please stop drinking because you’re upset with him. Just come to me when you need someone to talk to.”
“Okay.” You whispered, hugging him tightly.
The rest of the night you don’t touch any more alcohol. Hyunjin cooks you lunch and you spend the day together. You start by watching a movie in the living room before you move to your bedroom with the intention of just cuddling but it’s not long before you’re both lying in bed naked.
He’s hovering over you slowly thrusting into you. Your hands cling to his back holding him close as your lips move together. One leg is hooked over his back with your foot resting right above his butt. You moan his name encouraging him. His thrusts are slow but deep. After your first time together Hyunjin took the time to learn the perfect way to make you fall apart. You reach your hand between your two bodies and rub quick circles on your sensitive clit.
His nose rests against your as he continues his slow pace, “baby are you that desperate to cum?”
“I need you,” you gasp as the coil in your stomach tightens. “I’m so close,” you practically whine.
“Then cum baby,” he crashes his lips into yours muffling your moans.
He finds his own release shortly after. He removes himself from you and lays down next to you with his body plastered against yours. You can’t help but smile as you look over at him in his blissed out state. You’ve managed to fall in love with him without even trying.
-
Things weren’t always going to be sunshine and rainbows. You were still going to fight with your parents when they tried to contact you, but after long talks with Hyunjin he always told you that things would work out. Things between you were good and you were absolutely in love with him. Nobody has ever made you happy like he has.
When his art exhibition rolled around it was an absolute hit. He managed to sell all his paintings and make more than he thought he would. You can’t help but feel proud knowing he worked so hard to achieve his goal.
After a night out celebrating with all his friends at the bar he hovered over your naked body repeating how much he loved you between kisses across your jaw. There is nobody else you would have rather fallen in love with then him. You love him with your whole heart and soul, and know he feels the same way about you.

He never needed anyone, never has and never will. At least that’s how his schoolmates describe him. Kim Seungmin has been the college it boy the second he set a foot on campus. People either love him or hate him, y/n happened to fall in the ladder.
So of course, as fate would have it, they get paired together for their senior thesis. Just when she thought her life couldn’t get any more stressful, she now has to work with the rich, entitled guy who always had everything handed to him on a silver platter.
She was not going to let that happen this time.

I'm Mr Brightside
Tumblr media
Han Jisung fluffy College au
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are some facts in this world that you can’t deny; the sky is blue, the grass is green, and you and Han Jisung had a chemistry that couldn’t be ignored.
When your friend had first introduced you to her cute, freckled boyfriend and his wild bunch of friends, you were a little intimidated. Their loudness and exuberance had caught you off guard and you could’ve cried when she and Felix had left you to go to the convenience store, paying no mind to how awkward you felt with these new people.
However, you really needn’t have worried. Whilst you were sat there clutching your can of drink and pretending to look busy on your phone, a boy with rounded cheeks and brown doe eyes had sidled into the seat next to you and before you knew it- friendship was born.
Jisung was an incredible friend to have around, he was fucking funny, for a start. He also could be very sensitive when need be, and you and his introverted self gelled so well that you naturally just gravitated towards each other.
When your friends had coerced you into joining them clubbing after having pre-drinks in yours and your friend’s apartment, it was Jisung who stayed sat in the booth with you, chatting over cheap drinks and plotting how you would get the others to call it a night and go get a MacDonald’s.
When you were drowning in the horrendous amount of work your tutor had set you with a deadline due in a matter of hours, it was Jisung who stayed up with you, finding sources for you to cite, organising your notes and coming up with ridiculous ways to lengthen your sentences so you would reach the word count.
When your family pet had passed away, it was Jisung who surprised you by coming over with food, a movie and a “manly shoulder to cry on” which you snorted at, accepting all the gifts graciously before allowing Jisung to take you to the local animal shelter to pet some puppies and grieve for a little bit.
Jisung was amazing, but you can imagine his horror when he found out you had a boyfriend.
Said boyfriend had been left at home while you studied away at university, and Jisung couldn’t deny that he was absolutely sickened. Thus far, it had been an unspoken consensus that you and Jisung were bound to get together at some point. Afterall, you were the one he always scouted the room for at parties, you were the one he went the extra mile for on the daily, and you were the one he was constantly thinking about when you weren’t in the same room.
You can imagine the horror when Jisung swung by your apartment as part of a routine and walked in on you face timing your boyfriend. He couldn’t hide the sneer on his face when he observed how disinterested he was when you were sat in front of his screen, or how he interrupted you when you spoke. After that day, Jisung found himself becoming a little sulky around you and listening to Heartbreak Girl by 5SOS perhaps a little too often. You would often be comforting him or trying to draw him out of his shell, but you never knew for what reason because he would never tell you.
A new dynamic had settled in your group. Jisung liked you, you liked Jisung- this was common knowledge. However, you couldn’t ignore the tension in the room when the boyfriend was brought up. You may have just mentioned him in passing, occasionally you would have an argument or two that came with the long distance, but Minho’s eyes would flicker to Jisung’s concernedly while the blonde boy tried to remain unbothered.
“sounds like an ass to me.” Minho piped; his face full of mirth while you got flustered.
“He’s not… he’s just weird like that.” You had attempted to defend, though it was true, he could be a bit of an arse sometimes. Despite the truth in Minho’s words, it was to a certain someone’s dismay that it didn’t appear that you would be breaking up with this arsey boyfriend of yours any time soon.
Though it was painful, Jisung had been raised right, plus he wanted to maintain a good friendship with you at the very least. He had perfected hiding his emotions to a tee and reigned in the heart eyes out of respect for your relationship. As time had progressed you both got closer, a sort of chemical imbalance occurring as it was obvious yours and Jisung’s chemistry overrode yours and your boyfriends completely.
How about that time during movie night at Jisung’s apartment? The flat he shared with his seven other roommates was at max capacity with you and your best friend there too and it was at Jeongin’s request that you watch all the Woman in Black movies in succession. Having never been a fan of horror, and nor was Jisung, it wasn’t long until you felt your phone vibrate with a text while Jisung tried to look as though he wasn’t shitting his pants from across the room.
J: you wanna watch toy story in my room upstairs?
Y/N: I would very much enjoy that.
J: nice
It was Seungmin that had eventually excused himself to use the bathroom, which was where he thought he would find you after you made your great escape, but instead the glow of Jisung’s laptop catching his attention through the door that was ajar and You got a friend in me wafting from the room. You maintained a friendly distance in Jisung’s bed, the blanket was warm, but the heat Jisung radiated was warmer, you couldn’t help but feel the itch to tuck yourself into his side- like a couple would. Seungmin figured he’d tease you both for being pussies later, something was telling him that he should leave you both be in the bubble you created.
There was that other time you were sat in the boys’ kitchen close to midnight, your best friend listening intently with Chris and Felix while you bitched about your boyfriend over the kitchen table.
“So, remind me what he did again?” Chris questioned exasperatedly; his head tilted in your direction while you huffed into your mug of tea.
“You know that video I posted of Jisung on my story?” You elaborated, Chris and Felix’s heads nodding in unison as they thought back to the clip you had taken of the two of you. Like mature young adults, you and the others had been bored and tired of classes and thought it would be fun to let off some steam in the deserted play park at eleven ‘o clock at night. It was Felix who had suggested a game of sardines in the dark and eerie play area, and you and Jisung thought you were geniuses by hiding in the giant plastic slide. Not only had the boys and your best friend taken ages to find you and congregate in the same slide- while Chris was left scratching his head and scouring the park to find you all, but you had also taken some pretty hilarious videos of Jisung in the tube, reading the vile graffiti that teens had written in sharpie on the inside and at one point him losing a shoe in the confined space.
“Yeah, he was pissed at Jisung for literally no reason.” You vented, taking a sip of your drink and cringing at how the fun memory had turned sour because of your petty boyfriend.
“Pissed how?” Felix asked, curious about what he could possibly have had to say about one of his closest friends. With your back to the living area, you didn’t hear the soft pad of Jisung’s socked feet entering the room, you just continued to explain your tiff before Chris or Felix could say anything.
“He was saying stuff like: “Why are you always so close with Jisung? You always laugh with Jisung, you never laugh like that with me, you’re always so awkward with me now- blah, blah, blah.” You finished, rolling your eyes. You’d feel more sympathetic towards your boyfriend’s insecurities if they weren’t so irrational. He’d met Jisung on facetime enough times and hadn’t said a word then, plus he was acting like you should be totally friendless and unhappy so long as he wasn’t there to make you laugh. You couldn’t help that being with Jisung was so seamless, his charisma and humour complimented yours almost a little too well.
“I don’t know…” You sighed, still ignorant to the figure behind you, “… maybe don’t tell Jisung, I don’t want him to get all weird about it.” You finished, finally looking up to meet the eyes of the two boys who were staring at something straight over your head.
As soon as you saw the way that Chris fought the laugh that was etching onto his face, and how your best friend was looking like a deer caught in headlights, you just knew. You turned to face the blonde properly, he was dressed in sweats and a loose t-shirt, seemingly roused from his sleep and you couldn’t help but coo internally at his ruffled hair and awkward expression at what he heard. You had tried to mollify the situation, babbling explanations and telling him to not worry about your ass-hat of a boyfriend but you had no idea what was going on in Jisung’s head. He knew it was a little petty, but he couldn’t help but preen at his ego being groomed at the thought of despite knowing you for less than half the time your boyfriend had known you, the laugh that made his serotonin shoot was a laugh that you reserved for only him; and he was the one you weren’t awkward around.
****
“I’ll be down in a sec!” You yelled to your friend from your dorm room. It was 11:30 at night, late for a school night, but early in the evening you had planned. You weren’t a massive fan of the uni clubbing scene; more often than not, you were more likely to stay for the pre drinks and wave off your drunken friends out the door, but tonight you had made a promise to at least try and enjoy yourself. You gulped down the last of the vodka lemonade you had been nursing while adding the last touches to your makeup. It was impossible not to cringe at the burning taste of the liquor, but you’d do anything to get yourself sufficiently drunk tonight. It was a delicate balance; with the right alcohol, the right people and the right music you could have an amazing time- if anything out of those things were off, you’d be whining to go home in no time at all.
You put little emphasis on the right people, you had no doubt that the group of boys your friend had introduced you to were the right people to go out with- loud as hell and all with a lust for life that was infectious. You felt warm at the thought of seeing Jisung, despite seeing him most days, you knew he’d be the Clyde to your Bonnie tonight… If Bonnie and Clyde were notorious introverts, and not, ya know… murderers.
You could already hear the base of the grimy music thumping, and the yells and whoops of the boys from the communal kitchen. The LEDs that were lazily hung by one of your roommates flashed and changed and made the corridor look disorientating until your eyes adjusted, and you strolled your way to your friends with your empty cup in hand- eager for a refill.
Your friend greeted you animatedly from the entryway, Felix in tow as per usual, she spoke quickly about mixer in the fridge and how you would be leaving for the club at half past twelve at the earliest. You were only half paying attention, you could see in your periphery Jisung’s cute round face from his perch on the kitchen stool, his hands holding his phone but his doe eyes watching your form intently. In a matter of seconds, your eyes were making contact with his and you smiled warmly. You could see from his hunched figure and severe lack of a drink that he was feeling a little out of his depth- you knew the feeling all too well and wasted no time to stroll over to him with two cups in hand.
***
Jisung knew he was being obvious, try as he might to be subtle, it was impossible not to gawp at your figure clad in a cute dress and your ankle boots, gorgeous as ever and a little rough around the edges. He couldn’t help it, your presence was always a huge comfort to him, you were the best person to seek refuge with when he went through spells of anxiety and you were his favourite shoulder to cry on. He couldn’t supress the smile that crept on his face when you noticed his figure, both of you sharing a knowing smile when you grabbed two cups from the side and made your way over.
“Boy looks like he needs a drink,” you teased playfully, slinking up to his rigid body and swiftly twisting the cap off the bottle of vodka that was in reaching distance.
“You know me too well.” Jisung answered back, the undertone of an inside joke lingering around you. You were both cut from the same cloth; pretty much being forced to go out to the club when it was a mutual understanding that you’d just rather- not?
After sloshing a shot of vodka in the cup, you cracked open a new can of Redbull and split it between the two of you, chuckling at Jisung’s cringed out expression after taking a brave gulp of the concoction. Yeah, it was strong, but the key to survival and making the most of these kinds of nights was to get at least sufficiently tipsy. Worst case was that the alcohol never hit you and you would spend a sobering time circulating the smoking area, photobooth and seating area with your platonic other half.
The pre-drinks continued smoothly, a game of ring of fire ensuing whilst you were in an animated conversation with Jisung about your “game plan” for night.
“You know Changbin had nearly a whole bottle of wine before we got here, he won’t last the whole night.” Jisung attested, the both of you observing the boy laugh loudly while simultaneously trying to chat up one of your roommates.
“God, he’ll be sick before 3am, he’s drinking a desperado…” You gaped horrified, Jisung laughing before the severity of the situation hit him.
“Crap… I don’t really want to peel him off the kitchen floor again, he nearly vommed on my shoes last time.” The blonde shuddered at the memory. You just ruffled his hair affectionately, Changbin was a big boy, and you felt comforted when you noticed the watchful eye of Chris observing him from across the kitchen island; Changbin was in good hands.
The following hour flew by, you and Jisung making what you thought were accurate predictions on how you thought the night was going to go down based on your drunken friends. When it was time to grab your little cropped denim jacket and your purse, it was just shy of one in the morning, and you all began the small trek to the nearest club.
It didn’t escape your notice how close you were when you walked. Occasionally Jisung would stick an arm out and draw your waist closer to him when a stranger walked past, your hands brushing against each other’s in a frustrating game of will they or won’t they hold hands. Just as you were coming to the club’s entrance, your phone rang, and you couldn’t hold back the urge to roll your eyes. You shouldn’t have told your boyfriend you were going out tonight, he had choice words about it earlier and no doubt did he have choice words about it now.
“You could just not answer him.” Jisung mused gently, both of you joining the back of the queue and watching your phone light up with the call. Not wanting the impending argument to roll over to tomorrow you answered anyway, chuckling at Jisung and giving yourself some space while you had a conversation.
“You would love that, wouldn’t you?” Jeongin teased quietly, only so he and Jisung could hear. A swift jab to the ribs was what caused Jeongin to squawk, and then cease his tormenting. Jisung’s attention was recaptured by you; your inability to hide your expressions coming to the forefront when he caught sight of your scowl that was illuminated by the street- light that loomed above you.
“I can’t believe you went out anyway.” You boyfriend lectured, annoying as ever.
“I don’t know why you expect me to just sit around all day and do nothing? I want to have some fun for fucks sake-” You replied angrily, your temper quickly reaching a peak.
“You’re at a club! How do I know you’re not gonna neck it on with every guy there?!”
“It’s not my problem you’re feeling insecure… just leave me alone.” You quipped back, causing a chorus of “Oooohhhhs” from Chris and Changbin at your verbal take down. You were trying really hard not to giggle; this wasn’t a good time.
“Yeah, well, what do you expect? You’re always with that other guy how do you expect me to feel? Is he there now?” You glanced at Jisung anxiously, not really wanting to lie, but you knew what your boyfriend wanted to hear. “Well? Is he, or isn’t he?” Your boyfriend continued to put pressure on you, making you squirm.
“Well… yes, he is, but what’s that got to do with anything?” You huffed dejectedly, already hearing the loud sigh from the other side of the line.
“Just go home Y/N, have someone else walk you home or something, just go home before I get really mad.”
“I want to have fun, you can get really mad for all I care,” and you hung up with a flourish. Looking back up, you couldn’t supress the laugh at watching Felix pretend to drop a mic, the others jeering at you standing up to your dick of a boyfriend. You got back in line with Jisung, trying to shake off your pissy mood so as not to ruin your night.
“He really hates me, doesn’t he?” Jisung muttered, fiddling with one of his bracelets anxiously.
“You don’t mind him Jisung,” you comforted, “He hates everything with a penis.” You tried to joke to take the edge off. He did laugh though, so it kind of worked. Finally, you got the front of the line, presenting your IDs to the bouncer before making your way inside the illuminated building, your heart already vibrating from the loud music.
****
The club was an absolute mess in the best way. Choosing a highlight wasn’t easy- however at one point your friend had captured the attention of someone who was not Felix. You were fully prepared to go over there and snatch her back with no questions asked but watching Felix Mc Hammer his way over to reclaim his girlfriend was much more entertaining. Your pre-drinking had worked a charm, you weren’t off your face, but you definitely felt a lot looser than you normally would and as did Jisung, even daring to join the others on the main dancefloor at one point. You were never a sexy dancer, but that wasn’t the vibe anyway with the 2000’s hits the DJ was playing, and you couldn’t be happier to get groovy with Jisung to Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull or absolutely losing it over Avril Lavigne.
The mood was high by the time you finally decided to leave, your heart set on putting your pyjamas on and ordering a McDonalds before calling it a night. You clung to Jisung absentmindedly, the drinks you had consumed in the club making you wobble and sway with every step. You had been right about Changbin by the way; you knew it was your cue to leave when he announced he had vomited in the club toilets, a defeated look gracing his features.
You didn’t feel too great either, but the nausea in your stomach wasn’t caused by the alcohol. Your boyfriend had called back a couple of times, probably fuming at your last conversation, but for the sake of everyone enjoying the night out Minho had tugged the phone from your hands and promptly switched it off before handing it back. You couldn’t help but worry though, the inevitable wrath you’d have to deal with came closer with every minute that ticked by.
Finally, you stumbled back into your student apartment, eight boys, your best friend and a couple of your other roommates in tow, all ready to collapse into the living room and demolish some fast food. You excused yourself to your room to shed your jacket and shoes, your body failing you quickly when opening the door. Luckily, you had waiting arms to steady you, Jisung pushing the heavy door for you and following in behind, his stance looking a little wavy as he too- was very drunk.
“God, he’s gonna be so pissed at me…” You said to no one in particular, flinging yourself onto your bed. Jisung followed suit, the sound of your door clicking shut as he settled beside you and let his gaze fall to the photos and polaroids you had decorated your pin board with. He couldn’t help but feel his confidence inflate a little as he observed that a photo you had taken with your boyfriend had been covered up almost entirely by the pictures you had taken in a photobooth from a different night out with him. The four pictures were undeniably adorable, his favourite being the one where you both finally figured out where to look and both of your giant smiles taking the focal point, the other be the one where you were laughing, and Felix and your best friend had poked their heads into the curtain to photobomb you. Jisung took up an awful lot of your photos, from the slightly awkward smiles from when you first met each other to the shameless silly faces you pulled from the last time you had your camera out. Surely, there had to be a reason, subconsciously or not, why Jisung’s picture shrouded the person’s that you were supposed to be dating.
“Why are you still with him?” Jisung quizzed bravely, his drunkenness making him more confident. There was a sudden change in atmosphere, the air around you became thick with tension at the softness of his voice. You both knew he wasn’t just asking out of curiosity, there was a clear subliminal and unanswered question; why aren’t you with me?
“I… don’t know.” You answered honestly, your voice sounding so unsure as you flipped onto your side to face the boy properly. You propped your head up with your hand, your mind still swimming with intoxication as Jisung looked to you properly too. His hair was pushed from his face, his eyebrows furrowed and eyes bloodshot. He looked hot tonight, his light denim jacket and white T-shirt and jeans a simple outfit, but of course he made it look like a runway outfit effortlessly. “It’s not easy… breaking up with someone, we’ve been together a long time.” You explained softly. It hurt, to watch the disappointment cloud his eyes, so much so, that you stood swiftly to shed more of your accessories in order to distract yourself from the conversation at hand. It didn’t seem like Jisung was having it though, being the polite and gracious boy he was, he normally would’ve left the conversation at that, but being drunk and in his feels was spurring on a different side of him tonight.
“It could be though…” Jisung stood just as you turned to face him, your new close proximity catching you off guard and causing you to stumble back. “… I don’t want to upset you, but it’s not fair… he’s an ass.” He emphasised the last word deliberately, to which you couldn’t bring yourself to disagree. Jisung wasn’t much taller than you, but in this moment, with his newly found confidence he seemed to tower you, your figure shrinking in the small space. You took a step back, though you were mad at your boyfriend- you weren’t a cheater, but that resolve was becoming weaker and weaker as Jisung took a step closer to shrink the gap you had made wider. “I don’t want to do the cringe speech where I say how much better I am... but I don’t want to be with anyone else.” He took another step, and you took one back. Your dorm room was tiny, and it didn’t take much until you were entrapped by the wall and the boy in front of you. It wasn’t that you were uncomfortable, thrilled was probably the better word for it. Equally terrified and equally excited, you low-key loved this part of Jisung- but you didn’t want to be disloyal either.
You couldn’t think of the words to argue, because your argument was void. Jisung had every right to feel like he was the better guy for you… because he was. It was a tad daunting at how self-aware he was but any fool could see it. The air was so hot and thick between you, your words kept falling off the tip of your tongue as you attempted to rationalise your feelings, ultimately failing each time.
“You make me so happy; I’ve never met anyone like you… I don’t think I’ll ever meet anyone like you again.” He continued, taking one, final, baby step closer. You couldn’t have been any more than a couple of inches apart, his breath warm as it fanned against your face and it made your stomach flip.
“You’re drunk…” You tried, the last-ditch effort to deter the boy in front of you.
“So are you… plus they say drunk words are sober thoughts…” He trailed off almost cheekily, a dark chuckle sounding as his eyes fell down to your lips, his tongue poking out to wet his own in anticipation.
“Jisung…” You muttered, already knowing full well where this was going.
“…Just say no, if you want me to stop.” He murmured, his head dipping closer and closer to yours by the second.
Whilst your conscious was screaming at you to say no, push him away, slam the door on him, literally anything to stop what was about to happen from happening, you just didn’t care. Jisung’s lips were light on your own, first dipping down to kiss you experimentally, his hair tickling your forehead and hands wrapping around your waist lightly, before going back in with new fervour.
The only way you could explain the feeling was pure relief. The way he kissed you with both passion and a tenderness was something you could never experience with your boyfriend. Obviously, a part of this felt so wrong, but a huge part felt so right. The hand that slid around your side and the other that came to tangle in your hair had you fitting together like puzzle pieces. It took a minute for your subconscious to overlap your moral compass, but when it finally did, Jisung sighed contently at the feeling of you kissing him back with equal emotion. The taste of liquor remained on both of your tongues, your bodies equally warm from drunkenness and it made the room feel stifling. Only when Jisung had begun to tug and push your jacket from your shoulders, the movement of his head feeling like it had every intention of pressing the most searing kisses to the newly exposed skin, that you felt like you had to stop.
You pulled away stiffly, your body language evidently moving against its will. Your head fell back against the wall with a dull thump, your breathing slightly laboured as you let the silence and tension speak for itself. Welp, it was official. You had cheated on your boyfriend, to some degree… Shit.
“I’m sorry…” The boy in front of you muttered, his cosy embrace already slipping off from around you, making you feel cold and empty.
“Me too.” You whispered back, your head hanging. It didn’t need to be said, you both knew that no one, other than the two people in the room would ever know about what just happened. Jisung sniffed, shrugging his shoulders back in an attempt at getting himself together before pushing his sweaty hair from his face.
“I’m gonna go, order some food…” He spoke in a tone that was supposed to feel casual. You just nodded, allowing him to leave the room and walk down the corridor to join the others in the living area.
Jisung knew it was a mistake to kiss you, not because of your boyfriend, but because he knew in his heart that if he kissed you once he would inevitably want to kiss you again. Not knowing what it would feel like was one thing but knowing that it sent his heart into an addictive over drive, his nerves charging with electricity was something else. In short, he felt like an idiot; it already sucked enough to be the guy that everyone knew was in love with a girl that he couldn’t have, what sucked even more was that he knew for sure now that you liked him back. However, he was far too used to acting like he was unbothered, a skill he never thought he would have to utilise so much- until he met you. He had perfected the art of playing Mr Brightside, and no matter how sick to his stomach it made him feel to see you remain with the D-bag that was your boyfriend, he still had the ability to be a genuine and supportive friend.
****
Maybe it was more obvious to an outsider, but you weren’t dumb. It was clear that the longer you stayed away from your boyfriend the more your relationship broke down. A part of you was telling you to keep persevering because all relationships have their struggles, but another part was telling you to just dump his ass. You were more inclined to listen to the latter; unsurprisingly, the kiss you shared with Jisung had stuck with you for weeks. In the shower, eating breakfast, trying to catch up on work, any given moment your brain was occupied with the memory of his hands in your hair and the brush of his lips. Quite honestly, the most hot and heavy moment you had ever experienced in your life- not once had the guy you were in a committed relationship with kissed you with so much passion. You had attempted to actively avoid the boy for a couple of days, but it all just seemed redundant when he was living rent-free in your mind anyway. He didn’t need to be there physically; you were a mess either way.
Being the person that you were, you didn’t think to announce to all of your friends when the deed had been done. Looking back, the breakup itself had taken a bit of beating around the bush to finally come out with it, and a huge amount of explaining that you weren’t dumping him solely for Jisung. At the end of the day, he just wasn’t the one, and you had to assure to him and yourself that you were doing this for you and only you. Of course, you were quite saddened by how things had worked out, but the overwhelming feeling of freedom had eclipsed that after a day or two of moping around. Only you were aware for the first few days that you were now a single pringle, you didn’t want to announce it to everyone as if your life was some kind of reality show, so when the cat did come out of the bag you tried to be as lowkey about it as possible:
“How are you Y/N?”
“Doing better Jisung, thanks.” You fumbled, taking off your shoes.
“How’s the boyfriend?”
“… What boyfriend?”
You hid your smirk as everyone’s breath caught at your words, the silence that lasted half a beat deafening as you straightened up and made your way to the sofa to flop. Jisung was in shock, evident from the way his mouth gaped slightly at his loss for words, but his most guilt-tripping dream had finally come true.
The next few weeks was a true test of Jisung’s patience. He knew you, and despite your totally valid past complaining, he knew that you wouldn’t jump into a relationship with him immediately. However, despite the undertone of angst and anticipation that normally hung in the air around you two, it was more or less vaporised by Jisung’s hilarious and totally not-subtle flirting.
“You don’t understand Felix, Y/N used to be obsessed with Cody Simpson when we were in middle school.” Your best friend teased.
“So I liked blonde boys with Justin Bieber haircuts, sue me!” You laughed in response. The others laughed along with you, but not at what you had just said. Jisung was putting on an Oscar worthy performance of miming writing down this imperative information about your 12-year-old self’s ideal type, making a show of looking invested while you had your back to him.
You almost felt bad, your “mourning period” (as your best friend had called it) wasn’t nearly as depressing as you had anticipated. Frankly, you thought you’d be more of a wreck, but Jisung was making that nearly impossible, as not a day went by where you weren’t exposed to some of the worst pickup lines you had ever heard.
“If you were a transformer, you’d be Optimus Fine” Jisung exclaimed proudly, his eyebrows wriggling suggestively in an attempt to be smooth.
“Chris taught you that, didn’t he Jisung?” You deadpanned, trying not to laugh at his derpy face.
“I’m not Jisung right now… I’m Peter.” This caused you to choke out a laugh, the joke being that you’d only use his English name when he was being either a shameless fuck boy, or an absolute idiot. His chaotic alter ego, if you will.
The best part to come out of this was the freedom for being physically affectionate, the little voice in your head telling you to keep your distance finally silenced. There wasn’t time to feel upset about your long-term relationship coming to an end, not when you spent the time you would’ve been crying wrapped up in a blonde boy’s embrace, the rain pattering against the window as you indulged in some good true crime in your blanket nest. Jisung’s chest was the perfect pillow for your head, his arms that had become a lot more buff since he had been working out daily warm and secure around your form as you sprawled out half on top of him. You had no qualms about your questionable position when your eyes got heavy, the arduous all-nighter you had both committed to the night before finally taking its toll as you both napped to the sound of graphic murder on your laptop.
All of this went hand in hand with the previous consensus. You and Jisung were bound to get together. The question was simple- when?
This leads to the current situation. Now in March, it wasn’t long until you’d all be separating for the easter break, and so it was only appropriate to have one last meetup at one of the university’s bars and enjoy drinks for buy one get one free.
Walking out onto the balcony, you felt the mild breeze ruffle your hair a little, pulling your jacket around you tighter, you watched fondly as your friend did a little run to greet Felix with a hug and a sweet peck on the lips, you took your own time to walk over to the group of boys you were meeting.
As naturally as ever, your gaze met Jisung’s quickly, him sending you a little half smile as he moved his jacket to reveal an empty space on the bench beside him. Not wasting a moment, you sidled up next to him, already pulling out your phone to order your drinks and falling into easy conversation with the boy beside you. The others exchanged knowing glances, Changbin and Hyunjin rolling their eyes and laughing at how useless it was trying to engage you two in their chat when you were both engrossed in your own bubble.
The hours had slipped by; you barely noticed how dark it had gotten and the balcony was fully illuminated by the trendy twinkly lights that lined the perimeter. When the time had rolled from 10 pm to 11 pm, you all made the effort to grab your coats, down the last of the drinks and begin the dawdle back to your respective apartments.
Jisung knew his timing wasn’t great, but he couldn’t say goodbye to you for three weeks and twiddle his thumbs without at least trying to ask you out- officially. You were in no rush, walking and talking slowly to try and prolong the conversation you were having as you walked side by side along the river. Your laughter resonated along the busy street, the little alcohol in your system and Jisung’s usual funny self making your ribs ache with giggles.
The others were way ahead of you, and you felt your heart sink at the sight of your apartment building coming into view. You weren’t quite ready to say goodbye- though you could probably manage to visit each-other, and you would call and text, you would miss seeing Jisung every day. Your walk dwindled into a stand-still, the darkness making the campus buildings and various complexes look ten times prettier as they were illuminated, and Jisung held your hands tentatively.
The anticipation that you both felt continuously quickly built up, this time though, it felt like you had reached breaking point. The elastic band that was being stretched and stretched was about to snap, and your stomach flipped with adrenaline and fondness for the boy standing right in front of you.
“I have to tell you a secret, before I actually throw myself into the river.” Jisung chuckled, both his thumbs rubbing gentle circles into the back of your hand, his face a mixture of mirth and nerves.
“I’m listening.” You replied simply, trying to look sincere.
Jisung swiped his tongue over his lips quickly, daring to look you in the eyes for half a second before averting his gaze to the floor again. Clearly, “liquid courage” was the leading factor to his boldness the last time you were this close. You hoped Jisung didn’t need to be almost wasted in order to be as forward as he was before, the hot and heavy kiss you had shared previously wouldn’t be unwelcome in the near future. With a gentle squeeze to his warm hands did he finally gain a little confidence, his usual cheeky smile adorning his cute face once again and you braced yourself for what he had to say.
“I really, really like you.”
“Not really a secret though, is it?” You caught him off guard with your sass, his mouth gaping comically as you laughed at his expression, him still clinging to your hands. He couldn’t help but join in on your giggles though, your contagious laughter and easy-going personality made him wonder why he was so nervous in the first place.
“Whatever! Will you go out with me?” He asked, almost exasperatedly, now letting go of your hands and circling your waist instead, both of your bodies fitting together like a lock and key while you placed your hands on his shoulders.
“of course, I will.” You smiled, taking a moment to appreciate the way Jisung’s face lit up and the giant smile that broke out onto his features
Though it was cliché, it really felt like your “happily ever after” moment. In no time at all did you feel a familiar pair of lips make contact with yours, and a familiar hand trailing up your spine under your coat, coming to a halt at the base of your neck. You had the freedom to give into your instincts and clutch his jacket, pulling him in closer before allowing a hand to bury itself into his fluffy hair. You knew Jisung was never a fan of PDA, but it warmed your insides knowing that he apparently couldn’t wait until you were somewhere more private to do this. Honestly, you were so excited to start this relationship with him; he was already a best friend to you, and your connection had such a strong platonic foundation that meant he had the ability to make you laugh until you could pee whilst also making you a mess of butterflies and stutters. You smiled lightly when he pressed a tender kiss to your forehead, both of your faces flushed and lips swollen, you kept one hand interlocked as you tried to catch up with the others. Patience really was a virtue, it would seem, and Jisung couldn’t deny that it had paid off. No matter how much he felt tormented by your past relationship, he could sleep soundly at night with the knowledge that he would never have to be Mr Brightside ever again.

A/N: Hello, thank you so much for the support on this series!! This chapter is pretty tame BUT IT IS THE FIRST, so don't worry about it!! Channie girls don't worry he's gonna get some later ;)
Tumblr media
Another semester. Another party at the only frat house on campus, it was nothing out of the ordinary. The usual room filled with flowing alcohol and the usual people, dancing to the usual songs. You’re sure it might be the idea of fun of some of the people that surrounded you but not yours, obviously not yours. That was why you were the only unusual thing in there. You weren’t a party animal, you weren’t so extroverted as to go to a party to have fun. Unfortunately it was also your best friend’s birthday who happened to be the president of the fraternity, so you really couldn’t have said no to his invitation.
The scene in front of you shifted. A drunk girl started approaching you.
“Oh my god, Y/N! You’re here, I’m so happy to see you,” the girl, from one of your classes, threw her arms around you and squeezed tightly. The feeling of her foreign body pressed against yours made you shiver uncomfortably.
“Oh, c’mon Y/Nnie, loosen up a little!” Alice said with a sly slime. Before you could commit murder in cold blood in front of your whole year, your two (out of three) friends pulled you away into a more secluded area of the room. In front of you laid a messy circle of people, intently focused on a spinning bottle.
‘Yuck’
“I can't believe people still play spin the bottle at their old age,” Shuhua mumbled as disgusted as you.
“You read my mind,Shu.”
“Omg Y/Nnie! You want to play spin the bottle? Wouldn't it be embarrassing tho? Since you're a virgin at your big age,” Alice fell into a fit of giggles, soon followed by her friends.
“God, she cannot be serious,” you whispered to your friends while you all collectively side-eyed the bitch. And that was exactly what she was, nothing other than a bitch. But then why was your face burning in shame and your heart racing? Why were your palms sweating so much? You shouldn't have been that affected but you were.
For the whole night you couldn’t help but think about Alice's words, because no matter how spiteful they were and how much of a bitch she was, they were also true. You were a virgin “at your big age”, but that had never bothered you until you had entered college. Never in your life had you seen so many people get involved with each other and in some ways you felt pushed aside and in the dark about this magical new world that everybody had already discovered, everybody but you.
The red solo cup in your hands wrinkled slightly under your fingertips as you squeezed it. You shouldn’t have been thinking about those things, why were you hyperfocusing right now?
“You’re supposed to collect the cups, babygirl, not strangle them,”a masculine voice pulled you out of your train of thoughts. Bang Chan, the birthday boy and your best friend. You and Chan had known each other since your first year of college, he had saved you from making a fool out of yourself the first day and walked you to your lecture hall. Since then he had stuck by your side and helped you make some new friends even if you were extremely picky with people.
“Ew, Christopher, I told you not to call me that,” you grimaced at the cringey name. He just giggled.
“I know, but I like annoying you too much,” another giggle. A small smile threatened to break your “angry” facade, this carefree side of him was a rare sight and the fact that he was showing it to you was making you giddy.
His warm hands snatched the trash bag away from you before clasping around your smaller ones.
“Seriously, what is going on?”
Lying wasn’t an option, he was way too observant for his own good, he always knew when you lied even when you didn’t yourself. You scoffed.
“Just something Alice said,'' and with that you tried to grab the bag from behind him to resume your job. No movement, he had an iron grip on you.
“What did she say?”
“Just her usual nagging, you know how she is,” you tugged and tried to get away from his grip to no avail.
“Tell me,” he wasn’t asking and that was obvious to the both of you.
“She said that it’s embarrassing to be a virgin at my big age.”
Chan finally let your hands fall to your sides and in exchange wrapped his arms around you and squished you against his chest.
“Bitch, she shouldn’t have been here, she wasn’t invited,” his chest rumbled with his words, “I’m sorry Y/N, I hope you know she’s in the wrong.”
With your arms wrapped around Chan and your face squished against his chest, with the gentleness of his voice caressing you, you found it hard to lie so you just stayed silent.
“Oh baby, don’t think about it, okay? She’s wrong and there is nothing wrong with you. Let’s go to bed, I can clean up tomorrow morning.”
For the whole night you tossed and turned with always the same thought in you mind, hoping not to wake Chan who was sleeping soundly next to you for once.It was no surprise that early in the morning you felt exhausted, your limbs were heavy and your mind was foggy, but you still couldn’t fall asleep.
“Did you sleep at all? I heard you move around a lot,” Christopher groaned next to you, his arm lazily draped over your middle.
“Sorry,” you tried to utter in your half dead state.
“I had an idea while I was sleeping,” he dragged your body against his and started to gently rub your arm to ease you to sleep. You only hummed in response.
“You should let me and the kids teach you about sex, you know us and we’re good people, we would never push you to do anything. We can take anything at your own pace, we’ll teach you well,” he spoke like he was saying the most natural thing in the world and not suggesting you get passed between him and his other seven friends. Sensing your confusion, Chan gently shushed you and started rubbing your arm again.
“Think about it, we can talk about it when you wake up.”
A witty response was about to come out of your mouth but darkness enveloped you like a hug. Chan hugged you tighter to his chest and sighed. ‘That went well’, he thought.
When you woke up, a blinding light was filtering through the window. Damn Christopher who never closed the blinds.
“Good morning,” the said man chirped happily from next to you. The moment you laid your eyes on him, the conversation from that morning resurfaced to your mind. The frantic beating of your heart sent a shot of adrenaline through you.
“I take it you remember what I asked you,” he put his phone back on his nightstand to fully give you his attention.
“Chris..” you started but he swiftly interrupted you.
“We’re not doing it out of pity, we are all attracted to you, we wouldn’t make it awkward and if you refuse it’s gonna be like it never happened,” Chris answered all of your questions like he could read your mind. You were confused, your heart (and your vagina) wanted to say yes but your head told you to refuse.
‘Fuck it, stop thinking.’
“Okay, let’s do it.” Chris stayed silent, only your synced breaths could be heard in the room. The tension was thick and full of desire.
“Can I kiss you, pretty girl? Just a kiss and you can stop me anytime you want.”
“Yes, please.” With that Chris  pulled you in his lap in mere seconds and attached your lips together. He wasted no time and pushed his tongue in your mouth, still his movements were gentle and slow just like yours were slow and hesitant. His whole persona dripped in gentle dominance, it made you hot and sweat and made your pussy throb. His hands roamed your body and tentatively groped around, testing your limits. Your lips moved more and more confidently the more time they were attached to Chan’s.
Your lungs burned from the lack of air but you didn’t care, you were drunk on his touch, his taste, you were drunk on him.
Chan was the first to break the kiss and immediately giggled when you tried to kiss him again.
“Patience baby, we have a lot of time.”

Cigarettes and Cliches (Part 8)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Felix x Reader Word Count: 4.7 Genre: Collage AU, Slow Burn Romance Warnings: 18+, Minors DNI, Swearing, Explicit Activities, Alcohol
He was the most impractical guy for you to be interested in, the incredibly handsome cliché bad boy who collected girls like trophies. As hard as you wanted to hate him his persistence and hidden softer side just could be your undoing.
Tumblr media
Managing to sneak into your shared apartment unnoticed you saw that both Seungmin and Jeongin's shoes were just abandoned in the entryway making you think they must have been at least more than tipsy when they got home the night before and from the lack of noise as you crept down the hallway it looked like they had not yet surfaced which helped you to relax and return to your room to quickly shower and change your clothes. By the time you had reemerged from your room and settled on the couch with a cup of coffee you could hear the sounds of bumping furniture and groans coming from one of the bedrooms which from the cursing that followed you recognized as Jeongin.
"Morning sunshine" you teased as his fluffy haired frowning face came around the corner into the kitchen, eyes scrunched up to protect him from the light.
"M’ning" he groaned, barely able to focus on you and he bumped straight into the cupboard he was trying to open to get a glass.
"How hard did you guys go last night?" you laughed silently getting up to help him get water and painkillers in his rather useless state “looks like it was a big one”.
"Seung and Minho had a drinking contest so he was fuuucked and I was playing beer pong and lost.... a lot" he smiled weakly taking the water and pills from you.
"I'll take some water and painkillers into Seung then and check he is still alive" you nodded knowing that they would have been so messy last night that they probably just passed out once they got into bed not noticing that you weren't home.
Taking a bottle of water into Seungmin's room you noticed he was still totally dressed from the night before and just laying on his front so you left the packet of tablets and the water on the bed side table and put your hand on his back to make sure he was in fact still breathing.
"Not dead, just wanna be" Seung's very croaky voice came from somewhere under his hood and bed head hair.
"Just checking, there's something to help" you smiled, patting his head and walking back out to the lounge room. Your phone chimed so you fished it out of your pocket to see who was texting you, only to hear more loud swearing from the kitchen as Jeongin spilled his coffee all over the counter and began wiping it up begrudgingly making you giggle again. Stepping around him you helped him pour another cup.
When can I see you again baby? I already miss you.
You read the message and grinned at the butterflies that were now filling your stomach, and were starting to make you feel a little giddy. Felix always knew how to make you feel like a silly little school girl without any effort at all.
"What are you smiling at?" Jeongin asked, screwing his eyes up as he walked into the brighter side of the room clutching the coffee in his hands tightly.
"Just funny memes" you lied easily knowing he was too hungover to challenge you anyway.
"Oh you free tonight?" He blurted suddenly louder than you expected as the thought popped into his head.
"Yes.... why?" you blinked recovering from the jump scare he had just unintentionally delivered to your system.
"Dinner, all of us, tonight" he looked up at the ceiling like he was trying to remember all the facts he needed to tell you. "So like us, Chan, Changbin and Han, maybe the whore club at 8 but I forget where".
"I can do dinner but maybe give me Chan's number so I can text him for the details" you chuckled slightly at how much Jeongin was struggling to function "Then go back to bed Innie I'll order us food for lunch that you can eat when you wake up again".
"Thank you, you are the fucking best you know that? Plus hot you're also hot" he mumbled giving you his unlocked phone and shuffling back to his bedroom. You opened his contacts scrolling through until you found Chan's number then added it to your phone, also copying out Changbin's and Han's contacts in case Chan was in the same position that Innie was in.
“When did the agreement between you and Seung to tell me I look hot or cute or whatever happen?” you asked in confusion, after his retreating figure but he totally ignored you disappearing into the darkness of his room.
Are you and the guys coming to dinner tonight?
You quickly texted to Felix before composing a text that didn't seem too random or confusing to Chan, in case he too was as under the weather as your two roommates. His reply came back pretty quickly giving you the details and being amazed that you had actually even spoken to either of your severely hungover friends.
The thing at Chan’s? Yeah we're going. We will have to sneak off so I can kiss you again baby
The images that your mind created of the two of you sneaking off had a flush creeping across your cheeks and down your neck as you read Felix’s reply. You would have to make sure that if you could sneak away you would and then it hit you that if you snuck away with Felix it would essentially be lying to your friends and the guilt began to set in. Not telling either Seungmin or Jeongin was essentially lying by omission and that made you a terrible friend in your mind at least, friends don't willingly lie to their friends about things like this.
Going back into your room you started up on some homework that you knew you should have been getting done but had left for a few days. If you were going to use the too busy to come home because of schoolwork excuse you needed to get as far ahead as possible so it was believable. You knew the two small tests you had at the start of the semester were going to be easy you had been prepared for them before they were announced knowing that they were also only a mock partial exams helped too since you could, hopefully ace them, and make your parents think you were now back in the top position in each of your classes. You also knew you needed to finish the last draft of a major assignment so that you wouldn’t have to deal with the stress later. By the time lunch time rolled around and you were hungry the others still hadn’t ventured out of their rooms so you ordered as much fried chicken as you could knowing that they would be happy to eat it left over if they didn’t surface when they smelt it.
You pulled out some clothes to wear for the dinner and put them on the end of your bed, you knew you didn’t need to dress up to go the Chan’s apartment so you just grabbed some jeans that were a little tight around your butt and a slightly cropped top to that it would look like you hadn’t made no effort but you weren’t hoping to impress anyone. The buzzer from the door camera let you know the chicken had arrived and you went down to get it hoping that you would feel less nervous about what would happen later that evening. As you had predicted Seungmin managed to surface as the smell of fresh hot fried chicken followed you up the hallway and Jeongin followed suit sitting down at the table while you got them a hangover cure each and yourself a juice.
“Fried chicken, top choice” Seungmin smiled, taking a drumstick and tearing into it like a starving caveman making you pinch the bridge of your nose.
“Again the best” Jeongin agreed, picking up his own piece but not shoving it in his mouth quite as enthusiastically as Seungmin.
“I texted Chan and it's 8 o’clock tonight and their apartment” you informed both of them “I said you were both in but you can text him if you don’t want to go”.
You showered and started getting ready, your preplanned outfit and basic makeup to make you like nice but not too out of the ordinary, finally throwing Felix’s hoodie over your outfit so that you would be warm on the way there and also so you smell his scent without actually being close to him. If Seungmin or Jeongin noticed that it was a different hoodie they didn’t say anything but you did often wear super comfortable clothes which did annoy Jeongin at least to no end, so another large hoodie was nothing to take note of. Jeongin drove, having been sure that he was not going to have any alcohol left in his system and you sat in the back watching the buildings go by until you got to Chan’s. Knocking on his door, you waited with the boys watching the last of the colored traces of the day fade into the inky darkness of dusk, you suddenly realized that this must be what it was like to be normal, have a normal social life and a normal set of friends. It caused a small ache in your chest suddenly like you had missed out on something very important but it also gave you a rush of fondness for the two boys standing either side of you leaning on either the stair railing or the wall beside the door.
“Oh you two aren’t dead! Well done” Han laughed as he let you all in, listening to Seungmin grumble something under his breath as you slipped off your shoes “I’m glad you could make it tonight” He grinned at you turning his attention away from the others.
“Hi Han” you smiled back following him up the hallway to the lounge.
“The princess and her two trolls are here” Han announced as you turned into the kitchen waving to everyone else that was there. Changbin chuckled as whatever Jeongin called from down the hallway was muffled by the sounds of the six guys already milling about talking. Felix's eyes were already on you when you looked towards them, his lips turning up at the corners making you subconsciously bite your lower lip in response.
“Pleased you actually got the message about tonight” Chan shook his head at the teasing that was already ramping up.
“Thanks for inviting me Chan” you replied, making your way around the kitchen to the other side of the island bench trying not to stare at Felix as you went.
“Hello kitten” Minho smirked as you sat yourself on one of the bar stools making you roll your eyes at him.
“Minho, you seem to be in pretty good shape considering you tried to kill Seung last night” you raised your eyebrows at him finally noticing the identical looks of mischief on both he and Hyunjin’s faces.
“Aw, didn’t know you cared so much” he teased, easily making Feix’s jaw clench and you rub your temples in faux annoyance and Jeongin came and sat down next to you placing a drink in front of you.
“Ignore Captain fucks-a-lot” he sighed sticking his tongue out and Minho.
“Rude” Minho laughed playfully, punching Jeongin and going to grab a beer from the fridge.
“We're just getting pizza. Is that good for you?” Chan asked, drawing your attention away from the others.
“That’s perfect. As long as it doesn’t come with a side of anyone's psycho ex” you quipped making Han and Seungmin burst into laughter.
“Yeah I can assure you the place we get our pizzas from doesn’t have that” Chan beamed, seeming much happier that you were comfortable enough to be cracking jokes.
“When are you coming out to party with us again?” Changbin asked loudly, his voice easily blocking out the others.
“Um, I don’t know” you shrugged “I don’t want anyone to feel like they have to babysit me” you pointedly looked and Seungmin then Jeongin.
“Hey! we have cause, Felix had to rescue you last time” Seungmin challenged playfully.
“Yeah then had to sit through accusations of having sexy eyes by Innie” you gestured with your thumb to the boy to your right.
“When did I say that?” Jeongin yelped, completely confused.
“While you were staring at the ceiling I think” you recounted “you slurred something about why the fuck was Felix in the apartment, something about me being off limits and no sexy eyes then Seung had to help you get to bed”
“All of that is in fact true bro”Seungmin confirmed as more laughter filled the room.
“Well I don’t remember it so it didn’t happen” Jeongin sulked, pouting slightly. Chan ordered the pizzas on his phone and got everyone more drinks, turning on the TV to pass time until all the food arrived. You noticed how close Hyunjin and Minho were to Felix and how annoyed he seemed to be at them so you just kept your distance and subtly watched them trying to figure out what was up. Feeling a little warm with all the scrutiny you slipped Felix’s hoodie over your head laying it on your lap until you could put it somewhere safe, you didn’t notice the look that Felix gave you as your shirt rode up or the fact that all the others had seen slightly more of you than you had planned.
“So what are you doing this week? Want to come hang out with us?” Changbin asked, clearing his throat and breaking you away from another glance at Felix.
“I’m back at work next week but you can always come by and hang out there if you come around my break” you looked from him to Han who were both sitting on the other lounge to you.
“Did those bitches get expelled too?” Felix interrupted, confusing just about everyone else.
“Yes, both of them did. You don’t have to worry Felix no one is throwing hot coffee on me” you sighed heavily frowning lightly.
“Hold the fuck up what?” Han spat his voice harsher than normal as he looked between you and Felix.
“Two of Nali’s friends had planned to throw coffee on me at work, they were reported to the police and they were part of the group expelled so it’s fine. It’s over now” You explained biting on the inside of your cheek.
“Well we will definitely drop by the cafe then so we can keep an eye out” Chagbin nodded, his tone turning serious and Han and Chan both looked concerned.
“That old guy at the convenience store was right. I do have far too many bodyguards” you groaned, a loud knocking on the front door indicating that the food had arrived and you were being saved from furthering the conversation about how Felix knew this and some of the others didn’t. Lining all the pizzas up in the kitchen you all grabbed plates and helped yourself going back into the lounge to eat Chan putting a movie on in the background to fill the silence of you all chewing.
“Forgot to mention princess” Hyunjin grinned slyly “You looked extra cute in that hoodie”.
“Um, thank you Hyunjin” you answered slowly, looking at him suspiciously, noting that Minho raised his eyebrows suggestively from where he sat next to him.
“I swear I’ve seen one like that before” Minho added Hyunjins smirk growing and Felix who was now sitting at the end of the lounge beside Han and Changbin narrowed his eyes deliberately making you catch on finally to where they were going with the compliments, your stomach dropping at the realization that they both knew, because of course they knew, they lived with Felix they would recognize his clothes and here you were wearing it in front of them like an idiot.
“I imagine because it isn’t the only one in existence” you shot back hoping to sound sarcastic not panicked.
“What are you two up to?” Seungmin snapped at them, making them dissolve into knowing chuckles.
“Fuckers” Felix muttered quietly gritting his teeth.
“Idiots” Han rolled his eyes “So what kind of hours do you actually work? Can we just come hang out?”
“Oh yeah you can come by and just stay for as long as you want” you grinned toothily happy for something to change the conversation “I’m on pretty much every afternoon for the next week so starting at 2 finishing at 7. So I guess we could grab dinner one night instead if that was easier for you guys too” you mused thinking as you pulled out your phone to check if anything else was on your schedule.
“Absolutely” Chan nodded “That sounds like a good idea for us all to hang out without too much organizing”.
“And Seung and I can keep an eye out for you” Jeongin added, looking at you seriously.
“I swear you are more protective than my dad” you grumbled playfully making both Seungmin and Jeongin flush with embarrassment.
You continued talking about stupid stuff all only partially concentrating on the movie that was still playing in the background and eating until you felt like you couldn’t eat anything else. It was just another standard superhero movie so the fight scenes and graphics were easy to get lost in. Excusing yourself to the bathroom you made your way up the stairs phone in your hand as it chimed with a text.
God you looked so good in my hoodie baby ;) Just want you all to myself
You couldn’t help the spark that shot through you at Felix’s words chewing your lip. You thought about how forward you wanted to be when you responded.
I like wearing your clothes Lix, I like feeling like I’m yours.
You took a huge breath before you pressed send hoping that he would respond to that in a good way and not think you were being too much of a tease, even though part of you knew he would never think that considering how much you had already made him wait to even touch you let alone kiss you.
Fuck baby are you trying to get me to kiss you? because that is exactly how you get that to happen saying things like that.
You swallowed hard, Felix probably looked totally indifferent as they all say around drinking beer and matching the movie while you were standing in the bathroom looking like a tomato had decided to replace your face. Holding your hands under the cold running water you pressed them to your cheeks to try to calm yourself down. A soft knock made you freeze on the spot.
“It's just me baby” Felix chuckled quietly, almost sensing your dilemma. Letting out the breath you were holding you opened the door for him to find him leaning against the door frame looking devilishly handsome.
“Hi” you whispered as he stepped into the bathroom, instantly sliding his hands around your waist, his fingers brushing against your skin agonizingly slowly, before pulling you against his chest pausing to let you decide what happened next. Leaning into him you brushed your lips against his tentatively feeling him smile against your lips.
“You are definitely going to be the death of me” he murmured, kissing you needily pulling a soft moan from you as his teeth tugged on your bottom lip. Pulling away from him gently you backed out of the bathroom hoping no one would be any the wiser leaving him to shut the door behind him.
“You know I will never understand why girls take so long in the bathroom” Hyunjin smirked as you finally returned to the lounge and slipped back into the seat you had been occupying.
“I’m pretty sure it’s because we have better hygiene” you quipped looking at Hyunjin expectantly only for the others to laugh and whatever comeback he had to die on his tongue. Felix returned a couple of minutes later going to the fridge to get another drink.
“So I heard through a couple of girls that you are claiming to have a girlfriend, Lix. What the fuck is with that?” Han asked mockingly, making the others all laugh.
“Really? Is that because they came to you after I turned them down” Felix smirked, one eyebrow raised challenging Han.
“Are you going through our sloppy seconds Hannie?” Minho jeered, laughing at Han’s shocked face.
“Hardly sloppy seconds if she got rejected, is it?” Seungmin asked, brow furrowed in faux confusion.
“Even worse she’s bad enough to get turned down by Lix and you can’t even get her” Hyunjin cackled, throwing his head back.
“Who said she turned me down? But that isn’t what I was asking” Han pushed leaning towards Felix as though he expected an answer.
“Wow I’m gone for 5 minutes and were being mysoginists and slut shaming nice one boys” you screwed your nose up in slight disgust.
“Slut shaming?” Changbin parroted looking at you for an answer.
“You know most women love being referred to as sloppy seconds. It really makes us feel loved and respected” you replied deadpaned crossing your arms across your chest.
“Oh shit yeah, sorry about that” Han sheepishly scratched the back of his neck apologetically.
“I don’t care where any of you stick your dicks, as long as they aren’t psychos, but can you not be so gross in front of me?” you asked with slight disgust in your voice.
“You are right, of course we will be respectful from now on,” Chan promised, genuinely making the others murmur apologies to you and dropping the subject all together for the moment. As the night continued on you yawned your head falling back against the back of the lounge with a soft thud.
“We should get you home” Jeongin interrupted, patting your shoulder lightly. Both he and Seungmin had decided not to drink, which you were thankful for because you didn’t really want to have to visit them in hospital with alcohol poisoning.
“I’m alright Innie, we can stay as long as you want” you smiled lolling your head towards him. “Besides it’s nice to be here and not be puking with stress that a random lunatic has caused" making him grin at you.
Seungmin pulled you to your feet, stopping you from collecting the last of the plates scattered around the room and walked you towards the kitchen with Jeongin behind you. You waved around Jeongin's shoulders before stepping into the hallway and getting your shoes to go home. It had been a really nice evening. You had fun hanging out with them and nothing bad had happened which you felt was a huge success considering your previous visit to Chan’s place. Watching the streetlights pass the car window, your drooping eyelids were interrupted by your phone chiming and Seungmin and Jeongin’s conversation from the front seats.
Goodnight baby, I miss you already ;)
You typed back knowing that Felix wouldn’t be able to avoid the questions the others had now that you were away from them but that he could talk his way out of just about anything you had seen him do just that before, throwing out something else that could be used to take the piss out of one of the others to avoid having to admit anything .
Goodnight Lix
“So do you reckon the girlfriend thing is a cover to try to keep himself out of trouble? Or do you think there is some poor girl he’s leading on because she’s not bright enough to know what he’s like?” Jeongin asked Seungim, turning his head to look at him, his face red from the brightness of the traffic light in front of you.
“I’d like to think it's the former to be honest. Hyunjin said he got chewed out by the university head after the stuff with Nali so using it as an excuse to keep other loons away is a good cover” Seungmin shrugged checking the traffic before turning.
“There is a third option though but to be fair I don’t even want to entertain the idea” Jeongin sighed, checking the mirror on the back of his visor to look at you while you looked at your phone pretending to be oblivious to the conversation they were having.
“I thought of that too and I’ll be honest I don’t love the idea but we can do anything about it either way” Seungmin muttered still staring out at the traffic around you.
“I know but I worry” Jeongin sighed. “What if it turns out like last time?”. Silence filled the car and you figured the conversation must be over so you leaned against the car window shutting your eyes.
“It’s not the same situation, and Felix isn’t Hyunjin” Seungmin finally conceded, making you wonder what the hell they were talking about. You stayed in the position you were in until your phone chimed again making you frown as you opened the message.
Baby. I’m sorry Hyunjin recognized the hoodie and told Minho so they have figured it out. Well they think they have figured it out.
The feeling that bloomed in your stomach was not easy to identify, it wasn’t fear and it wasn’t worry it was something else, making you wonder did you actually care if people knew you were dating Felix? Was what was happening between you even dating?. You could tell from the way Seungmin and Jeongin spoke they were referring to you and Felix just now but they didn’t seem angry, they seemed concerned or even a little bit unwilling to accept that perhaps there was something between you.
Your thoughts were jumbled, what if the revelation of you and Felix being together made people think that there had been some truth to what Nali has said about you? Or what if by some bizarre set of circumstances your parents found out and had you pulled from university? There was no way that you could imagine that they would realistically find out, no one from home knew what you were even studying let alone what your personal life was like and none of the guys would rat you out to parents they knew treated you badly. Remaining deep in thought you missed the following messages that he sent, not even realizing until you were in your room 20 minutes later.
They won’t tell the others if you’re scared of their reactions, baby. They wouldn’t hurt you like that.
I’m willing to tell everyone we’re together if that’s what you want.
I know this is new to you, I don’t want to push you baby.
Are you overthinking again?
I’m guessing from the silence you are, I'll give you some time then.
Staring at the messages you weren't sure how to react. You had been on one date with Felix. You had kissed him a handful of times and you had shared a bed when you had gotten caught in the rain. But the futhest he had gotten with you was making out and he had even apologized about moving to fast when you had. But the fact that he had called you his girlfriend and told you repeatedly he was serious about you didn’t change thee fact that neither of you had actually discussed it, he had told you he had said it to make girls feel less hurt when he turned them down and when he said it to you it was always unserious.
Felix, am I your girlfriend? Is that what this is? Or are you still just saying that to let other girls down gently?
You washed up and changed into some pajamas so you were ready to go to bed while you waited for him to reply with anxiety gripping at your chest as you waited for the little dots to show he was typing.
Will you give me that chance? I only want you no one else matters to me just you.
Before you could answer Felix you needed to know why Seungmin and Jeongin were comparing you and Felix to their previous roommate and Hyunjin and why it was some kind of sticking point for them and since you weren’t sure if you would get the full story from them you knew you would need to ask some of the others or even Felix before you could make a decision.
A/N: Thank you for reading my lovelies as always your support means the world to me xx

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
The next morning, after maybe two hours of sleep, I stopped at the local student coffee shop, grabbing something for me and Hyunjin before heading to the bus top for a 15 minute drive to the closest stop to the dance studio Hyunjin and I have been using for the last couple of weeks. He said that rather than having to rent a room through the school, he knew the owner of a local one that hardly anyone used anymore. I’m sure the owner was more than happy to have both our company and our generous donations, since she refused to let us pay by the hour like she required for the public.
I punched in the passcode she offered for Hyunjin and me before pushing my way through the creaking door, the bell above ringing. I heard slow beats in the studio and I made my way in, assuming it was just going to be him. Little did I know, he was going to have two friends with him. I knew both, thankfully, I wasn’t very open to dancing in front of strangers…another reason I wasn’t a choreographer. I saw Jeongin conversing with Felix, who I met a time or two when I would meet Hyunjin at his dorm. I brought Hyunjin his coffee, then properly greeted the two other men in the room. Felix, surprising me with a hug, “Y/N, I’ve missed seeing you, Jinnie’s been hogging you up in studios too much. You need to come by the dorm sometime. I know I wouldn’t be the only one who’d ap-”
A loud clap sounded from the other side of the room, “Okay! You two heathens have two choices, sit on the side quietly or leave-your choice!”
Jeongin made a face at his demanding friend and dragged Felix to the bench spanning the side of the room the the right.
Hyunjin had me set our drinks where we wouldn’t spill them and we decided to start at the hook of the song. I watched a few feet away from him, so I could gauge where he had gotten with the choreo. I put in a few suggestions that made the dance look like it would flow more with his body, surprisingly enough, he took the offer, stating that it felt more natural anyway.
One..Two…Three…Four…Five…Six…Seven…Eight
The counting Hyunjin showed to me consistently sounded through my head and I jumped in when it felt right, following his languid movements. Once the song came to an end, our breathing slightly elevated he turned to me and smiled, “Why don’t you dance with me more? Ooh, I can ask my instructor if I can bring you on and make it a duet?”
I laugh with a hand on my chest, “Hyunjin, you’re being generous, I do NOT want this to be a duet, I will ruin your grade, I swear it. I am entry level, at this point you’re a pro, I am not willing to bring your final grade down. If you’re up for it, once you get your grade back, you can alter the dance as a duet and we can try that as a side project?”
He thought about it for a moment and his face lit up,” I love that idea! So, be prepared to be amazed and tired. But, I still would like you to practice with me, the studio feels empty dancing by myself.”
He gave me little puppy-dog eyes and I caved, “Okay, okay. Just be patient with me, I’m still new and learning.”
After a little “hehe” he started the song over and we started from the top, working on parts we each thought we could change slightly to make more impactful. Every once in a while, Felix would offer suggestions that neither of us thought of due to being to wrapped up in our own bubble of creativity. After an hour and a half, Hyunjin received a phone call and I gave him the go ahead to answer it. This giving me a break to drink water and to cool off. I pulled my arm out of the sleeve of my sweatshirt for more ventilation, leaving my sports bra slightly exposed. In the mirror in front of me I saw Jeongin turn a shade of crimson and choke on whatever he was drinking in his cup, Felix beside him starting to let out a broken chuckle. I hear my phone begin to ring and I jog to answer the call fom Lilith when I pick up I can hear the white sound from being in a vehicle,”Y/Nnie? Can you hear me?”
“Yes, love, what’s up?” I play with the end of my sleeve on my sweatshirt, a habit I’ve never been able to break.
“All the dance studios are full at the university and I remember you telling me about the one off-campus you guys used, do you mind if practice is over there today or would we be intruding?”
“Not at all, girl, come on over- you have my location, right? Just put it in and I’ll send you the code to get in, or have someone come down to meet you.”
“Sounds good, we’ve got like five minutes left, but I’ll let you go so you can continue practicing!”
With that she hung up before I could even ask who “we” were…
I feel warmth behind me, only for it to be Hyunjin towering over me, “Chris is on his way, all the studios are full at uni and they need a bigger space.”
I let out an “uh-huh” muttering that Lilith said the same thing. Felix said that he would go down to let them in once they got here and told us that we could just continue with what we were doing. With that being said, Hyunjin decided to show me one specific part I couldn’t get down because of the way he moved his hips and it just felt unnatural. He watched me attempt to do it, and waited a couple of beats.
“Is it okay if I touch you? I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable.” He asked.
I nod, “Hyun, I don’t think there is anything you could do at this point that would make me uncomfortable…unless it was kissing, that’s a different story and we know what happened the last time you kissed a girl.”
He looked at me with a “go to hell’ look and placed his warm hands on my waist and he asked Jeongin to play the music at a specific part. Once Jeongin pressed ‘play’ Hyunjin stepped behind me, looking over my shoulder still keeping a respectful distance away from me. Once the music began to flood out of the speakers, the man behind me began to move our bodies the way we had written out. I imprinted the way my body was supposed to move in this moment into my brain, trying to remember the way my muscles pulled at my back and thighs.
I looked at my partner through the mirror and asked him if we could run it again, hoping I could finally get this one right. He agreed and I walked over to his phone, rewinding the song and pulled off the rest of my sweatshirt, discarding it in the corner. We bagan moving again, midway through I started feeling anxiety rising in me the closer we got to the part we just went over.
It didn’t take long before we were interrupted by cat-calls from none other than Lilith, with two strays in tow. Chris and Han shyly made their way to us, Han quietly introduced himself and shook my hand. Chris shook my hand and said a quick ‘hi’ before hugging Hyunjin and quickly making his way to Jeongin, greeting him like a big brother would, sitting on top of him and rubbing the top of his head.
Lilith, on the other hand, yanked me to the side, “Okay you slut, whatcha doin with the little dancey dance there? But also, not bad..”
I just shrugged, “Hyunjin and I thought it would be a great idea for me to learn the routine because he wants to make it a duet once he finishes his exam, and he was talking about putting it on his socials with the song. All about publicity, babes.”
My friend squinted her eyes at me before calling over Han, “ Han, Y/N, Y/N, Han…or Jisung, he’ll respond to either.”
“I’m not a dog, Lilith,” he turns to me, “it’s nice to finally properly meet you, we’ve heard so much about you!”
“What the hell kinda stories does she tell you guys?” I let out with a nervous chuckle.
“ Now I said nothing about- OW!” Han was interrupted by Lilith stomping her foot ontop of his.
“Shut the hell up, shortstack.” She grits out as she turns to me “but, can we see the whole thing?”
My arms cross as a shout out to Hyunjin on the other side of the studio, “Hyun, she wants to see a run through.”
Before I start the music I let out a little disclaimer, “Now, the track isn’t finished yet, we’re still touching it up, but this is the main sample of it.”
“I hope you know we wanna see you dance with him too.” Felix requests.
Suddenly I feel shy, “Felix, I don’t know…I don’t feel comf-”
“Do it! You’re too hot to not do it!” Han shouts from his little corner, “Do your little dancey dance.” He sings out.
I give in, first throwing on my sweatshirt I had discarded in the corner, finally pressing play and getting into place.
I put all my focus and energy into getting this whole thing right, wanting to prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. The last note rings out and I feel like I am dying for air…real air. I need to work on my stamina for sure. Hollers echo around us and Hyunjin embraces me in a hug, his arm lazily slung around my shoulders, “Y/Nnie, you did so good for a producer!”
“THAT’S where I know you from! Y/N, do you take Professor Kim’s Producing class block?” Han asks, running up to us.
“Yeah, have him every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.” I inform him. From there, he gets so excited and begins asking questions.
“What row do you sit it? How come you don’t talk a lot in class? You should’ve introduced yourself to us!” This little man doesn’t stop rambling, and I already adore him for it.
Through a few chuckles I explain that I sit directly behind him and Chris, and that I actually record the class to I can take proper notes later and didn’t feel the need to talk. We all get acquainted more while Hyunjin and I take a break, laughs sounding through the room frequently- the company feels nice…feels warm. After being a part of a few side conversations, I watch how well Lilith gets along with the other four. I notice how quiet Chan was and I accidentally make eye contact with him, my face heating up slightly and I send him a reassuring wink. He blushed and a smile grows on his face, he pulls his ball cap down and looks into his lap.
“So when are we all free so that way we can have a hangout night, I’m sure since I like you two, the rest of us will get along well.” Hyunjin asks loudly, pulling my attention away from the blushing man.
Suddenly I find six pairs of eyes are on me, questioning me in silence.
