He's far too hesitant and shy to take the initiative, his painful past having moulded him like clay into a lonely and reserved person who keeps to themselves. Hyun su doesn't ask for help, he doesn't search for guiding hands or soothing words, because all he's known is that it won't be there. They are not options.

Until he met you.

You'll have to be gentle when initiating things. Every touch and embrace will have to be softly approached, giving him freedom and wiggle room to move away or reject if he so pleases- but the moment you offer him a hug, he's looking at you softly and inquisitively, before hesitatanly shuffling into your embrace. You'll feel the tall man immediately slump into you, almost pleadingly.

He's ached for this for so long, and he can't let you go so easily. Please don't let him go so easily.

~ sticking your hand through the gated door that separates the isolation room as you take the nightwatch so you can be with him, and just gently embraces your hand with his and holds it firmly as he looks at you softly :(

He's hurt, and there is very little you can offer other than comfort- which he'll hesitate to take, but will take nonetheless. Uttering a soft mumbled thanks, his body sore but his mind finally at ease.

You watch as Hyun-su allows his eyes to close tiredly and rest his head against the gate, and you do the same so that your heads are briefly leant together. To your relief, he sleeps soundly now, but it pains you to leave from your shift as he unconsciously holds onto your hand as you attempt to move :( a soft pained sound leaving him as you slip your hand from his eventually, and all you can do is watch sadly as he grasps at nothing and his expression stirs.

~ ok but him always trying to sit with you at mealtimes. Regardless if it's at the table or the floor, you'll have this soft-spoken man practically glued to your hip. He'll also try and sneak more of his food into your portion, but with a soft wack of a spoon against his, he'll jump a little and look at you bashfully- looking away in embarrassment when you lightly scold him. If you don't, this man will end up feeding you everything on his plate 💀

~ if you ever need to reach something, he's your guy. The moment he notices you struggling to grab something from a high shelf, he's immediately at your side and reaching for whatever you need. He's so sweet when he does it as well :( softly mumbling if he's got the right thing, and noticeably perking up when you nod happily and thank him.

~ often the deep pit of loneliness will creep back and clutch its claws into him again, and Hyun Su will fall silent and reclusive again- like a door closing in your face, or a webcam shutting off. He will inevitably fall into the pattern of isolation, so please be patient and offer your attention and care for him.

Just sit with him when he slumps alone in a corner somewhere, watching you converse with the other survivors with insecurity and sadness I'm his expression- his head and hands slumped in his lap like a weightless puppet. He hates feeling this way. He despises it. This voice that creeps into his mind and hisses poison like a snake, and at this point he's not sure if it's his depression or the monster that dwells inside him anymore. All he knows is that it is there. It's inside him, and he's snatched tightly in its grip.

The moment you settle close against his side eventually snaps him out of it, and he only realises the trickle of blood dribbling down his face is when you dab lightly at his upper lip with a tissue.

"it's alright, you're ok" you hush softly to him, turning your body to face him as he anxiously swallows and nods.

The warmth of your hand eclipsing his palm draws him back to you, and with a staggering breath he settles himself. The inky blackness in his eyes dispel, and what's left is his dark doe eyes.

"Th-...thank you..." you barely hear him above the distant clatter of voices in the distance, but the way he looks at you hesitantly before squeezing your hand back is all you need to know he's grateful :(

~ Initially, he's very against himself falling for you. You spark all these warm safe feelings in him and it admittedly frightens him a little- he was ready to end his life not too long ago with nothing to change his mind, but now you've wiggled your way into his heart and mind and he's scared of getting hurt if it were somehow a whole ploy or trick.

However, over time, your genuine kindness slowly warms him up to you. He goes from brief hesitant glances towards you, to holding your hand as he idles close to your side like a second shadow.

~ he's very doting whenever you're frightened or hurt. He'll try his best to make you comfortable and safe, and keep as close as he can if that makes you feel at ease.

(Perhaps he finds you struggling to sleep because you keep having nightmares of the monsters, and he's off to grab you another blanket because you're shivering but is held back by you grabbing his hand and uttering a small plea for him to stay :(

He gets so overwhelmed by that simple little word, and just slumps by your side as you hide into him- his hand gently petting your back as you doze off, and all he can think of is you asking him to stay :( all I can say is good luck trying to get him off your back after that, he's going to be hovering and doting either close-up or far away.

I have a headcanon of BaekHong being this power couple even as they raise their daughter.

They're very hands on. The nanny, Mrs.Jang, is always available but she feels like it's the easiest gig she ever got. She's seen other rich families just birthing the child and giving it to the nanny to look after. They only feed or play with it when convenient but not Mr. Baek and Mrs.Baek. Soobin is the light of their existance. They both wouldn't be at peace until they saw her once back from work. Mrs.Baek would only go for a few hours, most of the time taking Soobin and the nanny with her. She never would have believed someone like Ms.Hong would find a way to conduct her meetings but still cradle her inconsolable child in her office. She had never imagined Mr. Baek would play with her in his office plain for all to see. She also hadn't imagined either of the parents' amusement when the 6 month old puked on designer bags and clothes. She had seen children resented and glared at for that. But not this rich couple. They loved their child like their life depended on it. Even when tired, overworked, frustrated they made time for their daughter always. Mrs.Jang often felt like the last resort. Moments when even she could see that the strain of work and life could no longer render them available to care for their child she took over for them. But even then these moments were scarce. She had heard months into her employment that the couple was actually against hiring her but had only agreed due to incessant requests of the child's maternal grandmother.

So when she was informed that the couple was throwing a big networking party for the Queens department store, she was sure this was her moment to shine. Because what rich couple feeds, changes, plays or cares about their child in the presence of 400+ highly influential people. Even if they both wanted to they wouldn't find the time.

But come day of the event, Haein was all dolled up looking magnificent beside Mr. Baek as they both laughed and dressed up their 6 month old baby. During the party, Soobin went from welcoming guests in her Armani clad suit father's arms. To discussing complex legal matters and networking with him still viewing the world from the high vantage point her father's height afforded her. Smiles representative of only pure joy, adored Hyunwoo and Hae-in's face each time they talked, interacted or received a smile from Baby Soobin.

At long last Soobin urged her father to put her to sleep in his arms where he kept her for half an hour before parting with her achingly in Mrs.Jang's care. When she woke up hours later fussing, he was there before the nanny could try to appease her. She had seen him excuse himself as soon as politely possible as Soobin continued to cry. He stood there, fully dressed trying to appease her a while before he went to his wife who was deep in conversation trying to recruit brands for her store. Mrs. Jang knew it was an important event for Mrs. Baek, so she expects not to see her all night near Soobin. From what she had heard (but never seen) about the couple's rocky relationship she thought this would be it. She would now see them fight as he dared approach her during such important talks.

But for Haein, seeing her husband walk towards her with their adorable daughter in his hands was a sight in and of itself. Her eyes were already on them. Hyunwoo politely greets everyone and leans in close to her to say: 'I've tried everything I could. I think she needs you.' She pauses her conversation on the spot. Says her apologies and moves inside to care for her daughter. Hyunwoo takes up the conversation and sells the store for her until she comes back with a happy Soobin in her arms for the crowd to coo at. Among the many photos the photographer had taken of the night their favourite remains of Soobin absolutely overjoyed to see her father as her mother mirrors both of their joy at being able to witness the moment.

Little do the happy family know there's gossip - and a lot of it at that. There's gossip on the mighty lawyer Hyunwoo being a wuss who's not in control of the house. On Hyunwoo not doing his part as a father 'So what if he has a pretty face, he should be slaving away taking care of his daughter why give her to the mother when things get difficult?' On Haein for being duped by his charms. On Haein for holding the baby wrong. For growing soft, for being dumb enough to ignore big shot CEOs because a human with a brain not even fully developed was crying.

No one sees the couple take respite in caring for their adorable daughter. Even when Soobin cries the shrillest, it makes Hyun woo just pick up another toy and Haein make the funniest face she can think of to appease her. They know the pain of the loss of a child. They cannot fathom not doing everything in their power to love this gift of theirs. No matter what she does she has both of them wrapped around her fingers. Because they're the luckiest to have her and call themselves her parents. It feels like a miracle each day and they'd be damned if they let a stupid department store take that away from them. So what if they lost a contract or two, the extra wons wouldn't fill up their candy jar. After all, all the money they had couldn't bring back their baby either.

I just finished watching Sweet Home and I’m pretty excited for season 3 this summer. 🤭

Warnings: fluff?, slightly nsfw,it’s short nothing more he’s my pookie.

I think Hyunsu is one of the mysterious characters who ends up actually smart, kind and misunderstood.

He’s a big boy, very tall, if he didn’t pay enough attention to the ceiling of the car he will hit himself when he’s getting in. Which happened plenty of times.

He’s really smart he manages to choose the right decision quickly when the situation is really bad.

He wanted to proof he isn’t dangerous to the survivors of the Green Home, so he followed Lee Eun Hyuk’s orders without questioning. Still they managed to treat him poorly.

In my opinion I don’t ship him with Lee Eun Yoo, there’s no chemistry between them, especially from his side. I don’t see him having any feelings towards her. She does have feelings for him though.

Speaking of feelings, when he has a crush on someone his love language is act of service.

Hyunsu isn’t the kind to leave his love interest side, this boy has attachment issues, not responding to it by detach himself from you no, he’ll silently follow you anywhere.

He won’t treat you like he treats his family, he knows you don’t deserve his cold shoulder.

He will look at you with puppy eyes every time you walk in the room.

He’s a cutie pie, play with his hair, give him butterfly kisses all over his face and lips, hug him, please hug him he deserves the world.

If you know each other from school, you’ll stick up for him, which leads you to be an outcast too. But it doesn’t bother you.

He’s a sub, but this quiet boy can get freaky in bed. It’s always the quiet guys who surprise you in bed.

His monstrous self is definitely a dom, a sadistic one too.

Hyunsu always has unholy thoughts about you, which the monster ends up telling you about so he could tease you.

His dick is big.

Doesn’t groom that much so he has plenty of hair down there, it’s not thick hair but somehow it’s more attractive this way.

His kisses are passionate, long and include biting your lips. This is how he shows you how much he loves you.

Signal-a small bunch of happily-ever-after headcanons

In lieu of an actual second season for the original version of Signal (at least, that's the case at the time of writing this) and a lacklustre movie follow-up in the Japanese remake I have been thinking about what I imagine would happen next. TBH I finished watching Signal a little while ago, it's just taken me this long to actually make a headcanon post. I'd vaguely been thinking of writing fic, but couldn't quite pull the ideas into fic form so decided a headcanon list was the best way to go. That, and I recently finished a different k-drama and immediately thought I wanted to do some happily-ever-after headcanons for that, too. So that'll be next, eventually.

But anyway, here are all my happy ending ideas, under the cut because spoilers: (as a side note, I might still try and turn this ideas into fic in the future. I just don't know when)

There's no real way around it, in all timelines Jae-han does go missing. But, in the final fixed timeline, it's only a few years.

Most importantly, he's found alive. Injured, most likely, but alive. And he's cleared of murdering Kim Bum-joo and whatever else was pinned on him when he disappeared. The corruption in the police force and government is also exposed and there's a lot to sort out there, but steps are made to sort it.

Jae-han goes back to working as a homicide detective once he's recovered and the stuff directly tied to him is cleared, and builds a proper connection with Soo-hyun. They do start dating, but it's a very slow process. Slow, but steady. They are happy.

They do get married, eventually. They're low-key about this, but they do have a wedding to make their parents happy (esp Soo-hyun's mum, who 100% relishes getting to help her daughter pick the prettiest wedding dress). They do not have biological children, but are foster parents for a while and eventually adopt an older child. Most likely, this child is someone they meet from one of their cases, maybe a dependent of a victim or culprit who has nobody else to take him or her in. They will also probably end up having to occasionally babysit Soo-hyun's chaotic nephews, though they are less chaotic as they grow up, thankfully

Hae-young also gets married, probably either to a journalist or someone who works with children in some capacity. They have two, maybe three children together. Their names aren't directly honour names (from what I understand that isn't really a thing in Korean naming tradtions? Might be wrong?) but one kid's name will probably share a syllable with the names of Hae-young's brother and the other a syllable with girl who'd died in the bridge accident that Jae-han had known. I'm not sure who'd be a good pick for name-syllable-sharing for a third kid, so maybe just two.

Soo-hyun does end up a team leader, and of the Cold Case Team. In this timeline, it's formed in response to a completely different case but seen as a much more positive thing. There are still some snags, a few people who feel it highlights police failures to have such a team. But on the whole, the team is made with an expectation it will last-there are a whole lot of unsolved cases out there, after all.

As for Hae-young, the difficulties in his homelife didn't disappear once his brother was posthumously exonerated. His parents did get back together, and tried their best, but they had their own grief and trauma to unpack and that took a while. So he still needed to be fed by the porkhouse lady, and once Jae-han reappeared he continued to watch over Hae-young. Time would go by, and he'd decide to be a policeman just like the detective who cleared Sun-woo, not yet aware that that same detective was still looking after him.

They would eventually catch glimpses of each other during Hae-young's training. But the first time Jae-han and Hae-young properly meet is when Hae-young graduates his training.

With his memories of past timelines and all he learnt as a profiler there, Hae-young quickly garners a reputation for being 'clever' and 'well-read', 'insightful' and someone who has 'interesting ideas'. Various ways of explaining how he has knowledge someone his age shouldn't have, basically.

Jae-han introduces him to Soo-hyun socially (their first meal as a trio is omurice, which becomes a tradition, though they'll eat other things together on different occasions) she then takes an interest in him professionally and has him work with the Cold Case Team to see how he fits. She then gets the higher ups to send him on profiling courses, so he eventually becomes a profiler.

And after that, the Cold Case Team is a lot like it was throughout the series once the camaderie had been established. [side note: I loved the Cold Case Team dynamics so much they are a GREAT team]

Soo-hyun mentors Hae-young the way Jae-han mentored her. Hae-young gets called '0.25' by most of his close colleagues as a result (after all, Soo-hyun is the only '0.5' they can have).

All three of them garner reputations to be dedicated, hard-working and particularly brilliant in their departments in different ways. As mentioned above Hae-young is known for being clever, while Jae-han is known for persistence/earnestness and Soo-hyun compassion and composure in equal measures. They're all very committed to stamping out corruption and looking out for the underdog.

The walkie-talkie continues to be a lucky charm for Jae-han. It doesn't ever work again...well, not for most of their life. It only works right at the very end of Jae-han's life (illness related, when he's very elderly, so while it is obviously tragic it's more expected and natural, just as it should have been). He gets to say a proper goodbye to both Soo-hyun and Hae-young this way.

But with the goodbye for Hae-young, it happens while he's helping Soo-hyun and their adoptive child (plus one of Hae-young's children, plus possibly grandchildren of both) clear Jae-han's things after the funeral. They had shared the stories of the walkie-talkie but of course weren't really believed. Not that any of the three of them really expected them to believe it (well, maybe Jae-han did want them to, a little), because they told the stories as if they were an unusual kind of myth or something. But they hear the walkie-talkie, and talk to Jae-han one more time, and they realise it is real.

Of course, the walkie-talkie doesn't go off again after that. But it continues to be passed down between their families, and the stories shared too.

There will also be plenty of photographs, because one thing Soo-hyun becomes quite fixated on is having 'proper photographs' of all the people she cares for. It gets to the point that people assume she has a hobby of photography and start buying her cameras and camera equipment for birthday presents and things. She still keeps that silly photograph of her and Jae-han posing, but doesn't hide it behind the batman. Instead, it sits in a seperate frame next to it on her desk.

﹙ ★ ﹚ bangchan — zeus. hear me out, he's the king of gods. the leader. of course it suits him. it's true that everyone knows zeus is the worst thing that could happen, but with chan wouldn't be like that. he is powerful, we all have seen those videos of him using his leader card. he's also wise, because he has to control the weather and resolve conflicts or problems between the gods with a minimum of justice. his symbols is the thunder, and i can almost see the lightning, blinding light of a storm in his eyes every time he gets really angry. and, how could it be otherwise, his love life. he may be delulu in real life, but he has also that fuckboy vibe. fits all of zeus's affairs tbh.

﹙ ★ ﹚ lee know — hades. shady, reserved hades. he might have a three headed cat instead of the original hades' dog (soonie's, soongie's & dori's heads all in one big ass kitty) but he loves his place in the underworld. calmness, quietness, tranquility, far far away from all the chaos of the other gods. he might travel to the outside just to add to the chaos, ngl, but at the end of the day he wants to drown in the silence. he perseveres a lot too, and he's stern. very forbidding, and he doesn't interfere into his jugdes sessions - he might be the guardian of the death, but he doesn't take favourites. except his wife, whom he worships every day.

﹙ ★ ﹚ seo changbin — hephaestus. he's described as a kind & hardworking god. he's very resilient, doesn't care about power. he just wants to do his thing and be happy. binnie as hephaestus wouldn't be very good (he's too clumsy to be a blacksmith) but he tries. many people reject him because of his physique, but he just wants to help. he likes to create tools and objects that can be of help to the people around him, he likes to fix things that have been broken. he might not talk about his feelings, but he deserves to be treated with a lot of care and affection, because he feels other people's feelings are more important that his own.

﹙ ★ ﹚ hwang hyunjin — aphrodite. hell yeah. first of all, he's changbin's wife (let's ignore that the real greek gods are married but hate each other). the god of love and desire. because he's in love with love and the idea of giving and receiving love and being in love - but he also spills desire wherever he goes. one look at him and oh you're soo doomed. he's an influencer too. obviously not like the ones we see on ig, but you naturally just tend to imitate him a little bit whenever you see him (and he can influence you and your love life and your perception of reality if he wants). also, like aphrodite, he rised from the past. she was born out of sea foam when uranus was murdered, our hyune was born again when he came back from his hiatus.

﹙ ★ ﹚ han jisung — apollo. every single characteristic of the thousands of symbols apollo has as a god fit jisung. god of medicine, because he is slowly healing from his own wounds, and one genuine smile of him can heal our days. god of music, because with his lyrics and a lazy scratch of the strings of his guitar he creates masterpieces. god of light, because even if the sun is too bright and he represents more that shadowy, warm sunset oranges, he brings light into our lives. and god of knowledge, because he's very very smart and he's always watching documentals and reading about whatever he's into at the moment, learning something every day. he's a calm but chaotic god, and he's sliightly dependent on zeus (he's chan's first stray kid after all).

﹙ ★ ﹚ lee felix — poseidon. i know the original poseidon is more of a bad tempered, almost dictatorial god and it doesn't fit him at all, so here i was thinking more of percy jackson. that adhd kid, so energetic and ready to have a good time, humorous but completely oblivious. he gets angry when things don't go his way, or when he loses (in videogames or real demigod battles), but he's loyal to his friends. loyal to dead. and brave and caring and sensitive, even if he tries to hide it with sarcasm because it's dangerous to show who do you care about.

﹙ ★ ﹚ kim seungmin — athena. our witty, wise, smart ass boy. he loves a good fight. he loves to create chaos. but when he's involved, he's always, always going to adopt a strategic warfare, ready to win with the most unexpected but intelligent tricks. he prefers to defend than to attack, unless he's with friends and in a space where he feels comfortable - then he will destroy you and you won't be able to say a word. but it's his love language bdkwnfke he has a strong vision of justice, and will act as he thinks because he knows he's generally right. he's helped heroes when they needed it because he knows what it is to feel helpless and alone and doesn't want anyone to feel that way, and he also is the god of homehold crafts, like cooking (just remember that athena & poseidon do not mix well and it will be even worse if you put them together in the kitchen).

﹙ ★ ﹚ jeongin — hermes. the cunning thief of the great twelve. he's the messenger of the gods, and the only one who is allowed to leave the underworld without consequences (because hades has a soft spot for him, ofc). he's very quick, guardian of literati and athletes, a troublemaker and trickster, but also solemn and responsible. he was the one who gave apollo one of his first instruments after a robbery in which he was caught, and somewhat he always finds himself in the middle of the most famous love stories (either helping the lovers or causing trouble). he hasn't find love yet, but he doesn't really care. he's enjoying his life, if it has to come, it will.

i am well aware that each one has a different perspective about the boys and yess i also see lix as apollo or changbin as ares, but i decided to give them these gods because i think they fit better. you're welcome to comment your opinion too 🫶🏼

Reasons why I am delulu about Eun-Hyuk still being alive:

Everyone who has read Shotgun Boy (which is a spinoff webtoon, it is great) knows Eun-Hyuk shows up alive and well, infected, in the last episode. He is just vibing and a fucking asshole and alive. Look at him having a "nice" convo with Hyun-Soo.

Why give me a full on plot of Eun-Yu also being fully delulu he is alive if he isnt. Like I am in solidarity with this girl, we will be in denail together!

I just can't have him be dead, I love him and I love the idea of him. If he does end up being dead once I have finished these 8 episodes I will be delusional again and believe he is alive in S3. I will headcanon him being here. He can't be dead.

Starting with general if/when you turned hcs, and will gradually get into the main plot

Once he saw the signs of you turning into a monster he was extremely worried

He didn’t know if you’d be able to control it, like him, or if you’d turn fully into a monster like most of the people he’s seen before

And because he’s seen so many people turn and die painfully, he wants to make sure you don’t

Once he saw that you were able to control it, even at least a little bit, he was so relieved, and wanted to do everything he could to help you

He knows that since you’re a monster, (I’m not calling them special infectees fuck right off😭) you can’t really get hurt/die for the most part

But he still likes to keep you at a safe distance just to make sure his monster side doesn’t accidentally hurt you

He always knew you were shy, so he knew that trying to teach you to control it would be a little bit difficult

That was, until you were in your monster form.

In your monster form, you were a lot more clingy towards him, which came as a stark contrast to your usual shy, closed off demeanour.

Not that he minds, he just finds it to be kind of a surprise

In his human form, he’s not scared of you accidentally hurting him or something as a monster

In his human form, he loves to let you cling to him

It reminds him that you’re still you despite the infection

This man can protect himself for sure. But let’s say you and him are doing whatever, maybe walking around, you’re both in human form and a (hostile) monster shows up.

His immediate thought is to protect you, because even though you can turn into a monster yourself, he forgets.

He goes to protect you, his monster side takes over (cause let’s say one of his desires is protecting you okay hear me out)

And then you, wanting to protect him, or show that you can defend yourself, or who know why , turn into your monster form and fend off the monster in some badass way

God damn. Maybe his human side is surprised but the monster side, if bro was out and saw that. You earned respect

The monster side of him has seen you before the transformation. All shy or whatever. He is also quite surprised when you turn and all of a sudden you’re all up on him

At first his monster side would probably push you away a little bit like “wtf is bro doing who are you”

Sometimes his monster side is a lil emo and has to be a lone wolf or something, but when you show up as a monster and follow him around and doing to him eventually he realizes you probably won’t stop until you turn back

His monster side pulls the whole “how pathetic and weak” thing when you cling to him, and you just go right ahead and let your monster self argue that

No matter how much you adore him as a monster, you can and will win a fight/argument against him

Maybe sometimes he lets you win. So what, a win is a win?

When your human side is out and you’re back to your shy self, both sides of him kind of miss your monster side

But if I had to pick one it would probably that the kiss between Gaon and Soo-hyun only happened because of his repressed feelings for Yohan. He literally doesn't want it to be true so badly that he projects his feelings onto his childhood friend who he doesn't actually have romantic feelings for. The kiss felt so unnatural and besides that we know that he had already turned her down a few times in the past. I think about this a lot lmao

Headcanon:

Hyunwoo sat on the couch taking to Haein about random things, test reports, the surgery, things she wants done after the surgery, how glad and proud he is that she's doing this. Tired from his day of running around he rests his head as he's reiterating to her how brave she is. He looks at her lovingly a soft smile playing on his features. She goes into a soft tirade of how he better not use this as an opportunity to leave her or she will haunt him. Somewhere during her tirade, he didn't realise when his eyes closed and her voice lulled him to sleep. Hae-in notices the lack of response and knows immediately. He didn't even lie down properly she thinks.

She knows how tired he's been all day today. Running around the hospital, medical forms, making sure everything is in order, communicating with their families, appeasing everyone, keeping his own emotions at bay. And all of this with pain coursing through his hand. She'd seen his facade slip very slightly in the afternoon when the effect of painkillers had worn off on him. Her heart ached for him. Sure that he won't be waking up anytime soon, she takes out the diary and begins to write her heart out. She doesn't want to forget this man.

Once done, tears still fresh in her eyes, she moved to the sofa. She places a hand softly on his cheek, another caressing his hair softly.

'I know I'll fall for you again. You're awfully adorable' she smiles. Sniffing she moves to straighten him out on the sofa. She adjusts him so that he's laying down properly no longer in a sitting position. She places his injured hand ever so softly on the sofa on the off chance it hurts more by dangling. He shifts a little in his sleep but doesn't wake up.

Later in the night he wakes up to realise he fell asleep mid conversation. He notices the blanket on him, sure signs of Hae-in's love left all around him. So he gets up and makes his way to her. Settling in beside her, because he knows it might be a while before they can be this close again.

he doesn't have anemia so at the beginning of your relationship he was a bit clueless as to how he could benefit you or help you with it if you needed him to be here

he won't treat you any differently because you have it. he'll be curious of it and ask some questions, wanting to know about it to make sure he can help you

as your relationship progresses he always knows exactly what you need if something is wrong. he's really good at reading you

hyun-su will learn through you that anemic people can experience dizziness, and can cause you to faint. if you stand and feel lightheaded at any time, he'll stands next to you to make sure you can hold yourself up before he moves away from you

he's a generally patient person so if at any point you need to rest he won't mind it at all. he wants you healthy of course

he does a lot of research on anemia to give you the best treatment and help that he can give. he wants to make sure you're always as comfortable as you can be when you're around him

The night the butterflies came again for Sang-tae, they were in the middle of a celebratory dinner.

After weeks of collaborative work between the unlikeliest pair of creators—an author with a personality disorder and an illustrator with a developmental disorder—Moon-young and Sang-tae crafted not just one, but three ingeniously written and drawn tales. Needless to say, her CEO pathetically wept over the phone at the news. And asked Moon-young, rather nonsensically, to pass on a message. “Tell Moon Kang-tae-ssi my spot is his forever, okay?”)

Every day had the magic Moon-young used to believe was only the stuff of fairy tales. As Kang-tae caressed her head in that gentle, caring way of his, the words you did a good job, Ko Moon-young becoming the most endearing compliment in her vocabulary, she’d never felt as close to being a princess whose got nothing left for her but a happily ever after with her prince.

But apparently, that call was all too hasty to make. Moon-young was supposed to know by now—there’s no better time for villains of the story to wreak havoc than when happiness makes its promise to stay.

Staring at the shrieking figure of Sang-tae oppa, swatting at imaginary butterflies only he can see, Kang-tae trying and failing to maintain a consoling voice as he wraps his arms around his helpless brother, Moon-young felt something inexplicable stir inside her.

It took seeing Kang-tae bowed over the sleeping figure of his greatest responsibility a few hours later that she understood what it was.

Her prince has long been fighting a losing war. It was about time his princess drop her knife, and trade it for a shield.

The first time she tells him goodbye instead of don’t go, Moon-young had to repeat the mantra Moon Kang-tae is Moon Kang-tae. Moon Kang-tae belongs to himself in her mind beforehand.

“Kang-tae lands at 5pm. Kang-tae promises to call when he lands. Kang-tae will call at 5pm.” Sang-tae oppa fiddled with the strap of the backback slung over his brother’s shoulder. Kang-tae smiled reassuringly at him, “I will as soon as the plane’s on the ground, hyung.”

“Make sure you ride on the right one, then,” she interjected, and as he gave her a look of (handsome) nervous excitement, Moon-young had to stop herself from booking a seat next to his. But there’ll be days for that; now, it was Kang-tae’s turn to travel alone. That’s what she promised him, after all, way back when Sang-tae oppa has started on healing his trauma.

Kang-tae moved in for an embrace. “You sure you’ll be all right without your prince around?” he joked.

Moon-young sent him a smile, and stepped back. “As long as he knows there’s a princess waiting back home.”

Shut Up Flower Boy Band (Headcanons)

A/N: Yoooo. So like,, I’m 99.99% sure none of y’all are gonna know what this is?? But it’s a Korean drama about a high school rock band from a poor, sketchy neighbourhood that tries to make it big in honour of their late band leader. It’s funny and emotional and a little cheesy, but I love it. Even though no one’s gonna ever know what I’m talking about, I might make some fics for these weirdos in the future. I just love them too much and there’s way too much tickle potential between them. Sooo here’s some headcanons!

Ji-hyuk: Ji-hyuk always tries to act cool and unbothered. His whole aura is emotionless and moody. But the kid’s been through a lot, so it’s understandable. The band members like to see him drop his façade, if even for a moment, just so they can see him smile and laugh and genuinely be happy, not the smirky, sarcastic happy he projects around others. Byung-Hee started doing that first, when they were kids. He’d jump on Ji-Hyuk and just grab at all his ticklish places until he was screaming and swearing at him. Ji-Hyuk always pretended to hate it, but he didn’t mind it once in a while, just because he knew that was how Byung-Hee showed affection. Aside from Byung-Hee, Do-il is the only other one that’s not afraid to tickle Ji-Hyuk. Ji-Hyuk is a HUGE revenge-tickler, which Kyung-Jong always learns the hard way. When he gets tickled he like does that thing where he acts like it doesn’t bother him and just elbows away the offending hands and puts on a stoic face and squirms away discreetly, but if you keep going he will break eventually, and his huge smile will make a rare appearance as he laughs. His laugh is much more loud and deep than you’d imagine. He doesn’t tickle Do-il because Do-il Knows where he’s the most ticklish whereas the others (minus Byung-Hee, who ALWAYS knows) don’t. Byung-Hee and Ji-Hyuk had tickle fights when they were younger, but not so much as they grew up. Ji-Hyuk is mildly ticklish everywhere, and more so on his sides. But his worst spot is like, the sides of his back and he will literally give you his soul to get you to stop tickling him there. Byung-Hee loved abusing this to get Ji-Hyuk to not be a grumpy butt.

Do-il: He’s much more of a ler to the others than a lee. He’s strong enough to keep them from squirming away, but kind enough to not Kill Them. You’d expect the son of a mob boss to be cruel, but people always expect Do-il to be anything except the quiet, kind, caring boy he is. His tickling is gentle and calculated; he pays attention to where his friends are the most ticklish and likes to focus there. He prefers tickling his friends in a way that makes them laugh and squirm rather than ticking them in a way that makes them scream. It’s more endearing that way. His main lees are Ji-hyuk (because he’s the only one other than Byung-Hee that can tickle Ji-hyuk without fearing revenge) and Kyung-jong, because that boy is too small and too cute and way too much fun to tickle. Do-il is ticklish too, but not intensely. The only places that make him laugh are his neck, back, and feet. Other places only make him smile sometimes. Occasionally the others will use his long hair against him and swipe it across his nape to make him recoil. Clawing their fingers on his back is the best way to make him laugh; the second is to gently tickle his feet, especially the tops. His laugh is quiet and low, and it’s just really nice to hear. He scrunches his nose up and it’s literally the cutest thing ever. He doesn’t get tickled by the members very often though, because he will 100% tickle them back.

Hyun-soo: (he’s literally canonically ticklish, I’d like to thank not only God, but Jesus.) Hyun-soo may seem cold and mean (well.. he is, usually lol), but he does have a soft side that shines through sometimes. His little sister only knows her brother as sweet, and his parents usually do too. But when Hyung-soo is around others, even his closest friends, he puts on a cold face and keeps himself from opening up. One way to make him drop his facade is to make him laugh. He doesn’t laugh very often, but when he does, it’s loud and happy and endearing. Hyun-soo isn’t used to being tickled very often; his parents stopped long ago, and the age gap between him and his sister generally meant he was the one tickling her, not the other way around. But the band knows that he is very, very ticklish; Ji-hyuk, Kyung-jong, and Ha-Jin are usually the ones to tickle him, mostly just to see him smile and not be a grump. Not very often, because Hyun-soo would literally murder them, but enough to make him know that his friends care. He’s the most ticklish under his arms, on his sides/ribs, and his neck. He can’t hold in his laughter whatsoever when he’s being tickled. He won’t ever start tickle fights, but is he’s dragged into one, he’ll shyly participate.

Kyung-jong: Literally the cutest lee. The whole band just loves tickling him, especially Ha-Jin and Ji-Hyuk. He’s one of those people where like you barely touch them and they’re like WOAHHHH that tickles, which is really hilarious and entertaining. The others are constantly pinching his sides and squeezing the back of his neck and grabbing his knees-always just quick little tickles throughout the day, tickles that make Kyung-Jong squirm and curse at them. But often sometimes the band just randomly pin him down when they’re hanging out and wreck him, especially Ha-Jin because they’re so close. They’ll pin Kyung-Jong down or sit on him and just tickle him. He’s really squirmy always and tries to grab his friends’ hands, but fails because he gets really weak when he’s tickled. When Byung-Hee was alive, he’d do “The Claws” with his hands and chase Kyung-Jong around while making monster noises, and by the time he caught Kyung-Jong, before he’s even actually tickled him yet, the poor kid would already be laughing so hard he could barely breathe. His laugh is really high-pitched and loud and it’s the cutest thing you’ll ever hear. Do-il makes fun of him for having such a childish laugh. Kyung-Jong likes to jump on the others’ backs and stuff and tickle them, but it usually backfires and then it’s him that’s getting tickled. He’s ticklish Literally Everywhere, but his worst spots are his tummy, knees, hips, and neck.

Ha-jin: Ha-Jin is a brat that tickles his friends solely to irritate them and get them mad. He’ll just randomly start poking one of them and slyly tickle them, just to watch them get annoyed. He thinks it’s SO funny, and the others are like -_- boi stop. Like he tickles Kyung-Jong a lot literally just because it’s really cute and funny, and they have tickle fights all the time, but he usually only tickles the others when he’s bored and wants to irritate them. When one of the others decides they’ve had enough and go for revenge, it can be a little challenging. Ha-Jin is ticklish, but mostly it just makes him giggle. It doesn’t, like, render him helpless like Kyung-Jong and Hyun-soo. And he’s good at fighting you off because he got so used to fending off his sisters, which is also probably why he’s pretty strong against tickling. But if you get his hips, it’s Game Over and he literally just goes limp and Scream Laughs and it’s really, really funny. Byung-Hee would just like, slightly dig his elbow into Ha-Jin’s hip when he would get too riled up and hyper, and Ha-Jin would literally Shut Up and Stop because it takes a lot to get Byung-Hee to the point where he’ll get revenge on you, so he knows he needs to quit it or he’ll get tickled so badly his brain will turn to mush. His other kind of more ticklish places are his lower back and his collarbones.

Byung-hee: Byung-Hee was quite the devastating ler when he was still alive. He was stronger than he looked and always just seemed to Know where his friends were the most ticklish. He liked to play around with his friends with this, like chasing Kyung-Jong around while threatening him with tickles and giving Ha-Jin The Look that let him know he was going to get the tickling of a lifetime if he didn’t shut up for once. He’s literally that person that pretended his lees were instruments, like he’d grab Kyung-Jong and pretend he was a guitar and the poor boy would just be trapped and laughing his little head off as Byung-Hee pretended to play their songs on him. He tickled everyone a bit, but not a lot, because he felt it was a tad childlish (so he said, but he actually thought it was fun to mess with the others). He tickled Ji-Hyuk a lot, usually when they were alone because Ji-Hyuk gets all frustrated when tickled in public, but it was always just his way of letting his friend know he was cared about. He was the most ticklish on his feet and his ribs. Like if his friends clawed at his ribs he’d crack up and cackle and it was pretty amusing (before he decided he wanted revenge, that is).
