The tragic/hilarious thing is how all the hardcore Bible thumpers I know would look at that image and feel nothing but contempt for Jose and Maria.

So why do we mourn the death of Sarah Everard or those that were quite recently and also most callously killed in Nottingham if we're then going to equally and callously likewise deprive elephants, and wilfully so, most wantonly and rather arrogantly of their lives in the same brutal and egregious fashion? Elephants have an inalienable right to live on this Earth too, and human beings are no more entitled to land, on our essentially borrowed planet Earth than elephants and other creatures, who we share this Earth with! And the arrogance of the human race to think otherwise is quite mind-bogglingly astounding. Bearing in mind also, that we have humans breeding like cancer, while there are those among our own race who want to push these intelligent animals to extinction; just as the UK has already done with over 400 species, actually within the last two centuries. So please, stop trying to put a positive spin on what is effectively a most barbaric and rather abhorrent activity. And to claim that elephants occasionally go on the rampage and therefore that’s a viable excuse to kill them; if someone, even with our supposed human and essentially basically ostensibly legal and judicial systems rather callously murdered people related to or personally close to you, you too would naturally want revenge; and as I said earlier elephants are exceedingly quite highly intelligent beings and do know the score where humans are concerned. And if they’re constantly being subjected to having their natural habitats callously wilfully and wantonly decreased essentially for western privateers and their rather absurd and acquisitive financial lust masquerading as viable and thus essential necessary conservation, or else to provide locations for obviously an ever extending local population when the right emphasis in such cases should quite essentially be on educative contraception, what exactly are these elephants supposed to do other than strike back. And why is it OK for those in the UK that very avidly support elephant slaughter and so-called big game hunting, egotistically for animal trophies, are the same individuals who both vociferously and adamantly insist “Not in my backyard”  - the so-called NIMBY’s Syndrome – when they, with their class entrenched reasons, don’t want those whom they perceive as outsiders and therefore not like them, or any constructive development that they similarly abhor and do regard as infra dig to their own perceptions of the good life, intruding on them. Isn't that hypocrisy and most rampantly so? And I’m quite absolutely sure that I’m not the only person who has actually noticed that trophy hunters are always on the right and invariably so the extreme right of the political spectrum. Hardly surprising then that the hereditary titled owner of the Daily Mail, for example, his rag and the plethora of full time and also part time hacks that the Daily Mail employs are all supportive of this bestial activity towards elephants and effectively other forms of so-called “conservation” game hunting. Predictable really, as the Daily Mail actually staunchly supported Nazism, Fascism, Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich during World War II, as well as the vile barbaric slaughter of those myriad numbers of very exceedingly rather hapless and diverse victims; and not just white Caucasian Europeans per se, who among that lot were primarily Zionist but likewise also and attendantly as well their biological kin who were practitioners of Judaism; even though they were clearly all of them exactly of the identical Khazarian ancestry and ethnicity with irrefutably not a drop of Semitic blood amongst them or actually coursing through their respective veins! Never mind however, that they were still mercilessly slaughtered in presumably what was “civilized Europe’s” death and concentration camps; so intelligent folk who can and do think for themselves don’t need any dishonest, disingenuous, outright lying or evidently, rather perniciously and self-serving lectures and/or admonitions from the likes of the Daily Mail. The irrefutable truth is, that distinctly they weren’t! And in that regard, were no different from Das Deutsche Freikorps, actually comprised of white Britons, white Canadians, white Irish, white New Zealanders and likewise white Americans who were all of them staunch members and avowedly wholly committed VOLUNTARY MEMBERS of this Third Reich created Waffen SS Unit, which operated in close affinity with the South African Boer one and, as well, the Ukrainian Waffen SS; and whose specified areas of operations were in the European death camps and as assistants to the German High Command. When the war ended, and a situation as is clearly still ridiculously going on in 2023, came into force with a defeated Germany enforcedly made to make war reparations or compensation, call it what you will, to the victims of its undoubtedly European inspired holocaust, once again the West stepped in hypocritically, and instead of all genuine victims being compensated, just the Zionists and bogus Semites plus their "descendants" were, and are evidently still the only ones so treated. Nothing for the Gypsies or the quite insultingly referred to as the Rhineland Niggers: genuine French citizens of mixed French Caucasian and French African ancestry; and while these preferred white folk who asininely claim to be Semites, when they’re quite absolutely nothing of the kind either biologically or in ancestral terms, simply that they follow a religion, those who do: since most of them are Zionists and anti-religion, in the same way as white Christians likewise follow a Semitic religion; so by their obtuse logic is the Archbishop of Canterbury or the Pope similarly Semites because they're both of them Christian and as it happens are the Heads of their respective churches? Alone in the Save Screen, he will look into space sometimes because he is daydreaming and imagining what it would be like on the surface. (Someone helps him, please)

Most of the time, he will sleep for hours and wake up only to see an empty space. (He wishes he sees the snow instead)

When he cries, the tears won’t stop for hours and hours. (Nightmare saw him like that once and didn’t say anything, just sitting next to him ‘till his tears had stopped, and Reaper knew his presence would annoy the other so he didn’t do anything and disappeared to leave Geno alone)

Isn’t it amazing that movies like Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, are all heavily criticized by even the most passionate fanatics within the MCU fandom, yet reblogging gifs, quotes, positive thoughts, and so on is still completely acceptable? Like, when these movies came out, I loved almost everything made by the MCU, but although I liked TDW, Iron Man 3 and AoU were disappointments to me. Still, I remember being in quite a few conversations with fellow fans about the things I liked from the movies. What I don’t remember is any hate fanatics going out of their way to derail those conversations simply because they were the least liked of any of the MCU movies.

With the DCEU, however, you can’t have a decent conversation about any of the movies without someone sooner or later calling you delusional. You can’t have a conversation about how good you think the movies are without someone bringing up RT scores, never mind the fact that RT is only praised when these same people agree with the score (see how people are reacting to The Last Jedi score). They accuse you of being some racist straight white guy, accuse you of being sexist, and ignore the fact with how diverse this fandom is, you’re likely of one or more marginalized groups and actually are able to relate with how a lot of the characters in the movie are written (see how many fans relate to Superman because of how he’s treated as an immigrant or how many fans with depression, PTSD, and other like mental illnesses). This is all because you dare to say something nice about movies of a cinematic universe that has become trendy to hate.

I made this comment in the reply of my post back in 19 october 2021.

I warned you guys that at some point that Arya stans will argue that Elia Martell is nothing like Sansa and would instead be more Arya, and lo and behold, two months later, that actually happened. Take a look at this post. These Arya stans really cannot stand the idea of Sansa having similarities with a non-villainous character.

There is a lot to unpack in these two posts. First of, I don't like the disgusting insinuation that Elia being traditionally feminine means that she would be a submissive victim. It's this the type of discourse we want? Denigrading everything that is traditional feminine? I don't give a fuck if you call yourself a feminist, if you genuinely believe this shit, you are misogynist and also very dumb. Clearly this person never heard of the trope Silk Hiding Steel.

Wanting to explore the world beyond your homeland isn't inherently feminine or masculine. It's gender neutral. Also Sansa voiced her interest in seeing the world beyond her homeland. It's for this very reason why Sansa was so excited to leave Winterfell, go to King's Landing and refused to leave when Ned said they were going back. Ironically, Elia wanted to explore the world shows there is similarity between her and Sansa.

Just because there is more opportunity to express yourself in Dorne doesn't automatically mean every woman there will be gender non-comforming. May I remind you of Arianne Martell. She is also someone who grew up in Dorne and Arianne is neither GNC or a warrior. However with that said, I wouldn't call her to be as soft and traditionally feminine as Sansa, because not every woman who doesn't physically fight automatically is like that.

No matter how atrocious this post is, these two people are right about one thing. Not all female characters have to be a soft traditionally feminine noble lady like Sansa, and it's certainly possible that Elia, just might not be like that, but as it stays, Sansa is the Westerosi feminine ideal. The vast majority of westerosi noblewomen are more like Sansa. It's for this very reason why Brienne gets so ruthlessly scrutinized for be the outlier. It's because of this why Arya feels so inadequate compared to Sansa.

This is what happened, you guys. In their desperate attempts to prove that Sansa shares no similarities with non-villainous characters Arya stans ended up invalidating the pain and suffering that both Brienne and Arya suffer for being gender non-conforming.

Why Is It Okay To Ship FW FitzSimmons but Not Skyeward

I have seen tweets and posts where people ship FitzSimmons from the Framework when the version of Fitz from there made real world Ward look like an angel. That’s how bad he was. He tortured and killed countless Inhumans and others that disagreed with Hydra. He even killed in cold blood a character that was a true innocent. Framework Ward was everything that Ward fans had been hoping for the real Grant Ward. He was a hero who fought to keep Inhumans safe. By being found by Victoria Hand and mentored by Jeffery Mace, he became different than the man John Garrett manipulated and brainwashed into doing some very bad things. So it’s okay to ship a version of FitzSimmons that was a toxic version of themselves but it is still wrong to ship a version of SkyeWard/DaisyWard that could have been great given the chemistry between Brett and Chloe. Seriously?

The Hypocriscy of The Bees

Alright, so this just a general post of what’s been going on for the past few days in the RWBY community.

A lot of blacksun shippers are disappointed in our ship not becoming canon and the bees are really rubbing it in our faces. Now where there people who were rude with Blacksun to Bumbleby? Of course, but this doesn’t excuse the rude reaction of the bees involved.

Now before you respond with an angry comment, just put yourself in our shoes for a minute. If Bumbleby wasn’t made canon, how would your side of the fanbase react? If Bumbleby wasn’t canon, you’d have hundreds of angry people on YouTube accusing RT of being homophobic or lesobophobic. You’d get angry tweets sent to Arryn and Barb calling them all sorts of names because your ship wasn’t canon. Heck, you’d probably get mainstream news involved and have them call out RT for their choice to not make Bumbleby canon. It’d be horrifying and the worst part would be that you would claim that you’re doing it for the lesbians or whoever you support, and you would consider yourselves justified in your actions.

So before you make snide comments about blacksun shippers or sun fans, just consider what you would do if bumbleby wasn’t made canon.

All things considered, even you know this is absurd. Stalking is not, despite all of Vadaya’s cruel jibes, actually a hobby of yours! Other people have never been interesting enough to warrant your attention, never mind enough to dedicate it to them. And you do know normal boundaries. In some circles, this sort of thing might be flattering. In most..

.. well. It’s essentially stalking.

You’ll just have to hope that Vadaya thinks of it as the former, that’s all, because you were halfway through this plan when the absurdity struck you, and it’s too late to back down now. Besides! He’d accused you of having no ambition, and having no motives. He’d said you were lazy, coasting on long-passed victories, and unable to emulate them before. He’d said a lot of things.. and everything you’ve pulled together tonight is a sign that he’s wrong, and you were right. He thought he knew you! He doesn’t know a single fucking thing about you, and you’ve got every plan to rub his nose in that fact. It’s not stalking. It’s showcasing your efforts, making him realise the sort of troll that he’s dealing with, even if you have to lead him to the water and drown him to make it set in.

It’s the sort of stunt that you might find endearing, if you were interested in someone pitch.

After you’d finished ripping them to pieces over it. But you’d like to see Vadaya try.

The city of Civitrecce isn’t exactly your favorite place to be. It’s a huge, bustling metropolis filled to the brim with the sort of trolls that you’d like to sink your psi into: cullbait and mutants, highbloods with enough modifications that they could pass as either, hauling aliens behind them on chains and leashes. And the city itself isn’t much of a looker. Oh, there’s white sands as far as the eye can see off on the eastern edge, but that’s the problem with it. All of it’s got white somewhere, from the shining streets to the high-rises blocking out nearly every inch of the sky.

White, and red so bright that it makes you feel like you’re back in Temasek. But you’re not. More importantly, you’re not going to let yourself go and get spooked off of your mission over something as simple as architecture. It’d taken actual weeks of work to pull all of this together: first, in convincing Zhuang that the news of the Shepherd’s coolant implant had been stolen and was being sold was legitimate, and then in convincing him this was something that they could sell back to her, and then in pulling the information out of them after, in slow trickles as they’d sent off their messages, and waited for the responses.

The QPIN had always worked with the Imperial Education Program, long before you were hatched, and long before even the current Queenpin had emerged from the caverns. As one of the largest manufacturers of helming technology, and the largest producer of helms, they shared technology, employees, and most importantly, news. You’d heard the name enough when she and Raphae droned away in her office, more than any other business. You’d seen the name on enough technology, and on enough collars, scarred down to the bone with the name of what company’s ships the helming recruits would serve.

You’d known how Shepherd would take the news, as soon as she heard it. More importantly, you’d known what she’d ask! Your proctor had sat on the message for two, three nights before she’d thanked Zhuang for the notice, and then she’d asked them to take care of it. And why wouldn’t she? She didn’t know anything about this business, not really, but it wasn’t the sort of thing that she handled. She was a scientist and a businesswoman, not a keeper of soldiers.

And luckily, the QPIN turned out to have hooks in those as well.

You’ve never met a Scimitar prior to Vadaya and Rumisa. Oh, you’d read the pages and pages online on them, after you’d first met him, and then in the weeks after. Everything that can be accessed publicly! Everything that can be accessed privately, for those outside of the organisation, because even Raphae’s credentials won’t get you into another program’s personal servers. You’d called them glorified ruffianhilators, when you’d first met him, and really, you stand by that. There’s no point to them, and no reason for their sheer amount of pride; anything they do, then you’re certain you could manage it better.

Maybe not for some of the more headstrong ones, but.. well, you’re just not interested in using your psionics to their full potential. There’s nothing showy about the scale of work that your pan is geared towards. But that doesn’t mean you couldn’t, if you tried, and it doesn’t mean you don’t know what you’re capable of. You’d taken stress tests like the rest of your program, regularly enough to see how far you could be pushed. The body is full of small, vital parts, and places where the slightest tug of psi could set everything wrong.

So one of them can break walls with their scream. It’s not impressive.

And you refuse to be impressed by Zhuang’s pet Scimitar, no matter how much they prompt you. Tenienté Longhaul is a lieutenant general for the Imperial Psionic Corps, a tealblood with a combat history nearly as far as back as the first Ascension. He’s a speedster, a soldier, and a hundred different things that your contact had tried to press on you - but ultimately, the only thing that matters is he’s the one that assigns Vadaya’s missions.

Which is why you’re pacing along the brim of a roof, sipping on some pink and green powdered abomination of a drink as you watch the street. This is the most likely path for Vadaya to head to, you think. The laboratory is three streets over still, the sort of perfectly Modernist abomination that’s only unobstrusive in this hellhole of a city. It’s at the end of a dead end street, with the sea behind it and cliffs that crumble into a sheer drop, so you don’t expect he’ll go trying to climb it.

Especially not when you know the cliffs are wired with defenses for the institute honeycombed through them. He might still! If he does..

Vadaya’s interesting because he thinks he’s smarter than you: not just in books, but ways that actually count. He thinks he’s more competent, more agile, better in a thousand different ways. If he gets shot up trying to be clever, the only unfortunate part will be that you can’t watch it happen.

But it won’t happen. Already, you think you see a familiar set of horns cutting through the crowd, just as brisk as he’d been on Epiphany. And you could lunge down, introduce yourself properly, but.

.. you hate him. You hate this, because now that the moment’s come, your plan suddenly seems so much more ridiculous than it was in your head. What is this, one of Riccin’s musicals? You’ll show up at his mission, this time on purpose, and he’ll be infuriated, but impressed at your.. brass? Your confidence?

The fact that, for all of his showboating of the fact he’s an imperial soldier, that you can set yourself up as his equal just by pulling strings?

Of course he will. Vadaya’s yet to do anything that’ll surprise you, and you think - you hope - that you’re still on track. You’d be impressed! If he isn’t, then that isn’t your problem, is it? It’s his.

And in the meanwhile, you just need to remind yourself of what you tell your pupas: if you’re going to have cold feet, you might as well cut them off. So you drop off the roof as he passes under you, pose as neat as any lunge, and as you fall, you shoot off a message in your pan.

Star Trek: TNG Season 2 Episodes 1-4

The Child: So after several months, we are FINALLY resuming the series. And… we begin with an episode about Troi being impregnated without her permission. Ho boy. So… let’s talk on our new CMO first, Dr. Pulaski. I am VERY aware of her hated reputation and I am very curious to see her in this season so that I can see if I can figure out why and if it’s justified. Honestly I thought that she was fine until the second half when it was just her and Data. Otherwise she seemed like a perfectly competent CMO, but her mispronouncing Data’s name and not caring when he corrected her and acting pretty condescending towards him… yeah if they were trying to recapture the Spock and McCoy dynamic, they failed miserably since McCoy may point out and be an ass about Spock’s supposed emotionlessness, but he never acted all hugh and mighty or purposefully mispronounced Spock’s name. But we’ll see what happens in the following episodes and I was fine with her otherwise.

As far as main plot goes… yeah I see why Linkara compared this with the Avengers 200 comic in his review of the latter cause it follows a VERY similar plot. Now Troi not wanting an abortion was her choice and as such I’m not gonna go into it, and I do like Data staying with her during the birth. It was a nice moment for both characters. But the birth being protrayed positivly with no negative side-effects, no one seeming to want to look into what impregnated Troi to begin with or seem to cate that it was essentially r*pe, and while there are concerns about the rapid aging otherwise the kid is allowed to roam freely despite the circumstances. Which with the final reveal… yeah it makes what I could at least kind of understand since the circumstances wouldn’t be the child’s fault into a WTF moment cause… yeah, no. Nooooooo. It had a few okay bits like Riker FINALLY has his beard, Worf and Geordi have been promoted, and we’ve got Whoppi Goldberg at long last! Even Wesley dealing with having to eventually leave the Enterprise depsite not wanting to felt really nice and at meast why he’s sticking around was adressed. Still, I think we could have cut out this whole pregnancy plot because all the changes and cast additions with maybe some minor issue thrown it would have been more than enough to sustain a plot for a premiere. This just added unecessary squick/implications that they came up with to give Troi something to do cause I guess counseling the others as they deal with the changes wouldn’t have been good enough. IDT it’s as bad as the Avengers comic if you know what happened in that, but still… yeah no. 2/5.

Where Silence Has Lease: Well this was nuts. So we have our heroes enounterong an empty space where they find a Starship that shouldn’t be there and weird stuff happens as a result. A lot of weird stuff. They essentially end up lab rats in a… weird, ugly face… thing’s experiments of observation. Seriously, WTF WAS WITH THAT FACE THING?! Anyways, it was overall good! The characters were all good, I liked the Riker and Worf interactions, aside from one jab at Data Pulaski was otherwise much better here (here questioning why she joined the ship got a BIG laugh out of me), and the climax was pretty dang wild. When “Data” (actually the face thing) asks Picard what death exactly is and Picard’s philosophical respose and what his own view is… dang. That was deep. Then him realizing that Data and Troi are acting, his gamble at the end, and his final confrontation with the entity where he subtly points out it’s hypocriscy about humanity’s worst traits when it displayed those same exact traits itseld? Daaaamn. I’m already enjoying Picard MUCH more here than all of S1 and seeing an improvement from S1. I don’t have any major complaints not any notable observations. Overall a solid episode. An improvement over the first for sure and if this is the kind of quality that’s upcoming, I’m feeling a LOT more optimistic~! Only real complaint is Data saying that such an area like the void hasn’t been seen before… when The Immunity Syndrome in TOS had a similar deal with the amoeba. But otherwise, it was a nice watch! 4.5/5.

Elementary, Dear Data: Well this was a fun one! First, another holodeck episode! I think that this one was much better than the other two from S1. It was really fun, then took a shocking turn all because of Geordi making a poor word choice. Ain’t that just their luck. I loved the Sherlock Holmes mystery and I loved the Data and Geordi dynamic. They’re very much my two favorites so far and Levar Burton and Brent Spiner have some really great chemistry. Pulaski… I get what they’re trying to do with her. I really, really do. But I think they really didn’t get why the Spock and McCoy dynamic worked in TOS (or McCoy’s character in general), and thus are failing to recapture it in TNG with Data and Pulaski. Plus there’s no need for it in TNG since so far whenever they try to copy TOS, they fail miserably. But otherwise, I really had fun with this episode. Also that ending… dang did NOT expect the extesential part to come in, but it was very well acted. Also loved all the costumes! 4/5.

The Outrageous Okona: The theme of the day is comedy! Also Okana is Han Solo. They do not even try to hide who they are making an expy of. Not a very good expy either. He’s a cocky creep and I legit cannot tell if they were trying to make the character a deconstruction or not. Also the plot of Data learning humor could have been entertaining/insightful and comedy is subjective… but it didn’t do it for me. It makes me like Data more cause he’s just so loveable in his effort, but still the only scene I found funny was Worf interrupting Okona’s recent romp. But yeah if I was supposed to find Okona entertaining, I don’t. He feels like what popular media tries to say that Kirk is. If the episode was trying to convince me to like him and see him like I do Han Solo, even with everything turning out to be a huge misunderstanding, I just didn’t feel they did it well. The very least he’s just uninteresting. The actor was fine though. But yeah after two solid episodes, this was a disappointment. It’s not unwatchable, but still not all that worth looking at. If I want Han Solo, I’ll go watch the original Star Wars trilogy. 2.5/5.

And I posted it before trping the final thoughts. Whoops. Anyways, I had fun leaping back in. We got two good episodes and two… not too good on different levels. But I can see an improvement in the writing already and I’m glad to finally be back on track. I am hoping to not delay viewings with that large of a gap again and that I can at least finish up to Enterprise before the year is over. Still got a long ways to go, so onward we go.
