Last review! I’m so sad to see it end but from what I’m hearing, it ended beautifully.
Danny didn’t have chance from the beginning. He got a silent mother; abusive stepfather, abusive alters, and a lawyer with an addiction, I see why he thought suicide was his only way out, even without knowing about Stan’s addiction—Candy was the icing on the cake.
Ray’s boss annoys me. “Good girl”??? Such misogyny! And it hasn’t gotten better either, men still act this way.
Tom did his big one with this role. Like does Stan believe Rya finally when he heard Jack speak? Jack is the evil within this whole entire time. He made Danny leave for London to look even more guilty. If he left at all. Jack is horrible. I don’t even know how his alter was created.
Also, I love how the closed captions say normal voice when he’s speaking with an American accent when we all know Tom’s normal voice is British 🤣
Never heard Jason’s American voice ever, that’s amazing! And how Tom’s American accent changes to match Jason’s is SO FUCKING AMAZING! You hear the struggle of trying to keep his British accent at bay while trying to sound like Danny but it’s not Danny’s voice, which is much lighter in tone.
Now Jack came out lol and had the other lawyer looking at him crazy lol. I’m so glad Danny broke free so that Adam/Danny could finally speak. And I hope the alters finally see how destructive Jack is.
Danny finally coming to terms with Adam not being his actual brother but another alter (it’s funny how alters don’t age when you do, like what if you’re in your 60s but you have an alter in their 20s and they try do a backflip? That’d fuck you up)
Adam came before Marlin entered into their lives. Imagine all the abuse he had to deal with before that in order to create Adam? That’s sad. And the fact that Adam let marlin do whatever just so that candy wouldn’t be alone is heartbreaking. She put all her hurt and emotions onto Danny, allowed him to see her that way, and that made Danny/Adam decide to put up with whatever abuse he had to to keep her happy
And now the other lawyer is crying. I understand it’s her job but she pissed me off. I’m glad Danny won. And Danny being in shock—the emotions from just his eyes alone?? Unbelievable.
This new wig don’t look bad, I just wish they filmed it different so they could allow him to cut his hair cause I know he was over it at that point.
Love how Rya became the mother figure he needed. Candy knew that his biological father had been molesting him but because memories don’t develop until after four (sometimes early but the brain is so traumatized, it’ll black out anything, trust me—half my childhood is gone and I don’t remember anything) that’s when he created Adam and she let him believe that Adam was real and off with their biological dad like some parent trap shit—what parent willingly separates twins?! Seriously!
I’m so happy Danny didn’t forgive her. She the victim and the villain; instead trying to make the situation better again, she just stayed and allowed it to continue. I truly thought she was gonna say his father had DID, not that he was a pervert. And I just don’t understand how she couldn’t leave again if she did it the first time.
Tom’s cold icy stare is both sexy and heartbreaking, he gives tortured artist. Emmy looks like Mila Kunis to me. (Sorry it’s the ADHD)
So now that fusion therapy is working (a better outcome than the person this was based on) does this mean that Danny’s bisexual 👀 (do not come for me, it was an intrusive thought!)
Love the paintings are exactly the one from the intro; I wonder what debt Danny’s talking about. We’ll never know; the show’s over and it’s an anthology 🙃. It was beautifully written and so well taken care of. I’m sad that Tom can’t express that anymore cause of the strike but hopefully he sees how much this show means to us
Never mind I think I know what the debt is:
Danny has to now fuse Adam. His inner child that he has to protect, or be a guardian Angel for.
This show has made me appreciate those who struggle with mental health (like myself) and those who never stop helping them. And it also made me appreciate the cast’s acting, especially Tom’s; this shit was difficult and hard and I’m sure he will never do another difficult role again and I hope he never has to.

Watching The Crowded Room and going in completely blind..
Haven't seen a trailer, no idea what it's even about lol
Here are my thoughts as I move along..
After watching Ep 1, I think:
Danny and his brother where SAed as children, maybe by the stepdad.
Ariana is a sex worker?
His brother either died due to abuse or offed himself because of it.
Ep 2:
Ariana was sexually abused too, I think.
Danny might have Multiple personalities and seems to be unaware about it.
Some charracters might actually be part of his system?
Is the "ghost house" actually his mindspace?
Ep 3:
Yup, multiple personalities!
Yitzhak is definitely one of them!
Jonny probably too & if he is, so must Mike.
Ariana might be aswell, maybe she's his sexual protector & SA trauma holder.
Did he ever have a twin brother, or was he also part of the system?
I love Yitzhak, best protected ever!!
I think Rya, the psychiatrist might suspect him having DiD, but isn't sure yet & the police has no idea.
But how did eye witnesses see Ariana?!
Ep 4:
I think Jack is also part of Danny's system.
Jack seems to be a protector aswell.
I can't tell if his brother was another alter or his actual brother?
All the drawings in his (burned) sketchbook might be of alters.
Oooooo shits 'bout to go down!!
Ep 5:
Gee, straight to the intro, no little scene before that? Is that a good sign or a bad one?
I really hope his mother didn't know what her children where going through.
I love Mario, he's cool!
I feel so sorry for his mom (Candy?) too, she just wanted the best for her baby.. :(
I think Adam was his first protector & trauma holder, not his actual brother.
Ep 6:
I hate how the police officer is talking about poor Danny. :(
I hate the psychiatrists son, he's a brat and a nuisance lol
Hell yeah Jonny, get right outa those cuffs!!
God, I love this woman.. she's an amazing doctor and I NEED her to succeed!!
Why do I kinda like his lawyer?! He's such an asshole lmao
Oh, Danny.. My poor baby.. He's so scared :(
Ep 7:
Yayy, Yitzhak is back!!
Jack, Jonny, Mike, Yitzhak and Ariana confirmed alters, yay!!
Goddam Jonny... At least try to keep it together man >:(
These "psychologists" are so insufferable.. and so is the judge..
I love Yitzhak so much.. please don't let him be gone gone AAaAaa <3
Oh god.. please help him, poor puppy boy :(
Ep 8:
GET OFF MY SVREEN YOU FUCKIN PEDOPHILE PIG PIECE OF SHIT!!
I hope Marlin rots in hell, fucking piece of shit.
I love the directive so much!!
Candy, how could you? How could she cover for that piece of shit?
Oh, I feel bad for Arianas boyfriend.. and for Ariana :(
Why should they try to "get rid of the alters"?? I know that this plays in a different time, but it's so frustrating that the alters aren't really seen as whole ass human beings by the professionals.. :(
Jerome is so sweet and kind, I cant- I want them to be friends forever AAaAaa
If that boy doesn't get the help he needs, I'm going to scream...
Ep 9:
I hate him. I hate Marlin so much.. why do I have to look at him right now?!
How can candy live with herself, protecting this pig????
I hope she fucking turns around and stands up for Danny in the end :(
Stan is such a good guy, I hope he's a great lawyer too.
I hate it.. D.I.D. is real for fucks sake.
The trial just started and I'm already crying..
I'm starting to hate candy, she's acting like a real bitch right now, ngl..
FUCK YEAH CANDY!! GO SAVE YOUR FUCKING SON!!!
Aaand she went home.. goddamn it..
Yay Jerome is back!!
Goddamn.. she's a really good psychologist.
I swear to God Candy, if you mess up again I'm going to scream.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Danny, baby.. no :(
How dare you end the episode like that?!
Ep 10:
Jesus Christ, please don't let my baby die.
God damnit Jack..
I hate his smug fucking grin.
I hate him. I hate him. I hate him..
Oh, If Danny can come back, so could Yitzhak, right? I miss him. :(
"Adam is me" I'm fucking crying again wtf..
I'm on the edge of me seat, please don't jail this boy!!
OH THANK GOD!!!
I can't stop crying aaaaa
If Danny can forgive Candy, I guess I should too.. but I don't wanna >:(
He looks so cute, with all the paint on his shirt. <3
Don't try and make me feel sympathy for Candy.
Hell yeah, no forgiveness for Candy!!!!
I love the friendship of Danny and Rya, they have such great chemistry!
Last thoughts, after doing some research:
They handled this whole theme so respectfully and good!
Tom also did such an amazing job portraying his roles, it's amazing!!
Especially considering that this series and the movie "Split" where apparently based on the same case.. I fucking hated how DiD was portrayed in Split.. Like it's something to fear. Like it makes people violent. And as something fucking supernatural.. I fucking hated that.. But "The Crowded Room" is so honest and respectful.. It's beautiful!

Can you believe the nonsense logic of @rya stans and jonsa antis?? It’s like they choose to be dense. (And just to preface I adore @rya but her northern rose maiden stans piss me off.) they’re now saying that @rya is actually a maiden too (even though she’s not hit puberty yet ??? She’s still a child by Westeros standards). They’re stuck on proving @rya is the princess in the tower romantic figure of the series anything to twist the narrative for their ship … they’re also suddenly obsessed with @rya being Persephone ajsjdjd but they throw a fit if anyone makes sansa / lyanna comparisons 😭
They make fun of us for coming to the conclusion that Jon subconsciously desires a lady, that sansa building Winterfell means *nothing,* that sansa is called radiant by multiple people (even though Jon is the only who thinks this about her) that sansa doesn’t have anything to do with naerys and most recently ….sansa isn’t beautiful people just tell her that because of her class 🫠🫠🫠
I can’t believe we’re in a fandom with such stupid people I understand everyone comes to different interpretations based on how they perceive something but they’re ignoring canon at this point and then have the gall to say WE are the ones who twist canon???
I’m glad I haven’t run across too much of that discourse (thank you, my beloved block button) but I will say it is very funny to see how some people anticipate that the final instalments of grrms epic subversive fantasy series will include a ‘she’s all that’ style makeover montage. especially for a 9 year old. during a war.
It’s v weird how some people will stan a character, but literally only want to discuss that character in relation or comparison to another character that they supposedly don’t care for. Instead of just talking about the character they like, they spend their time coming up with ‘what-ifs’ and altering their traits so that they can win an imaginary rivalry. Like it’s never just that ary@ is beautiful, it’s always that she’s more beautiful than sansa. It’s always that ary@ is the True Northern Rose, unlike that other northern girl that actually isn’t even that special or important. Do they not find ary@ interesting enough as she is? I could think of a hundred things to discuss before I got to ‘is she more pretty than her sister tho?’
And anyway, why is there even the need to pit them against each other? I hate to say the infamous sansa stan catchphrase but, whatever - it’s internalised misogyny. We never see arguments about how jon is actually so much more attractive than robb ever was, because jon is a True Northen Rose, while robb was just a fake southron pretender. Somehow, everyone is able to accept that both robb and jon are two attractive people who can coexist and their attractiveness isn’t really that important to their story, anyway. Strange how it’s only the two sisters that get lumbered with this reductive discourse.
Like, yes, ary@ does have an interesting relationship with societal expectations of femininity and her own experience, desires and interests as a young girl. But let’s think critically and ask ourselves, are these themes present because grrm is trying to make the profound observation that all women (even 9 year old child soldiers) are in a constant beauty competition against every other woman that determines their value and also becoming beautiful is actually one of the highest achievements a girl can reach? OR is he trying to say something about how women are more than objects that possess beauty, they are complex people that should be valued beyond their compliance with narrow societal expectations?
In terms of jonsa, yeah, I find the ‘jon will neverrrr like a girly girl’ argument very silly. Like, oh ok, you think jon is so shallow that his one determining factor for attraction is if the girl is traditionally feminine? Give the guy some credit, damn. It’s not like jon confronting his own surface-level, problematic views of people has been a theme throughout his story or anything (cough sam cough the freefolk cough). Seems like meeting a very traditionally feminine woman and coming to understand and value her strength, beyond physical strength or wielding a sword, would align very well with the important relationships we’ve seen him form so far.
However, what I do think would probably be a major turn off for jon would be a literal child, no matter how much of a beautiful perfect northern rose she is. They can make up as many twisted metas or foreshadowing for jonry@ as they want, it’s not going to remove the issue of age (which is my main ick for that ship).
Anyway, I could ramble on forever about the misogyny in this fandom but it won’t change the fact that there’s always going to be people with two braincells spewing their drivel to anyone who will listen. We just have to laugh and scroll on and thank god that grrm has better sense.
#sorry this took so long. i was trying to form a coherent response but i think i failed#i think the fanon ary@ phenomenon is actually very complicated and interesting#i didn’t even touch on the level of self projection i think is going on for these people#asks

I'm sorry TCR was a pretty shitty show and anyone saying otherwise otherwise is just a Tom stan. The show was not a true reflection of the time period and it was conflicted at best. Amanda's character was portrayed as this greedy and self-serving woman but caring at the same time, which is it? We had a drug dealer testifying in court with no cross examination. We have character development for Danny's lawyer pretty much in the final episode, You have a court system that empathizes with the black community but the show uses black people to do all the heinous crimes that are shown and sexualized them at the same time. And what was the mystery of the show? What were we trying to solve? Was it the discovery of his DID personality or was it the shooting? It was a complete lack of focus on the main goal, but I do give them credit for portraying the DID community in a sensible manner and it had some great performances. A few of these problems could have been solved in the editing of the show itself which was not good at all
I'm sorry TCR was a pretty shitty show and anyone saying otherwise otherwise is just a Tom stan.
"Sh*tty" Anon?? How on earth?? Now, maybe YOU didn't like the series, but I wouldn't call it "Sh*tty" at all. But hey.... I guess you can think whatever you want to think. 🤷🏾♀️ Btw, I'm sure all of the THOUSANDS of viewers who averaged out to give this series a 92% "Fresh" on the RT meter aren't all "Tom Holland Stans". 🙄
Amanda's character was portrayed as this greedy and self-serving woman but caring at the same time, which is it?
Ummm...did we watch the same series?? 🥴
You couldn't tell that Rya was a CARING woman and was probably one of the only ones who actually cared about Danny's wellbeing and wanted him to come to the realization about his condition....vs. some of the others in the series who were simply trying to paint Rya as this greedy self-serving woman? 👀
We have character development for Danny's lawyer pretty much in the final episode
I do feel like they could have spent more time/episodes on the actual court case (those few episodes felt a bit rushed to me), and maybe given us some more character development for Danny's defense lawyer, but sometimes we have to realize that THIS was NOT the focus of the series. The focus of the series really was DANNY, and him coming to the realization that he has DID.
You have a court system that empathizes with the black community but the show uses black people to do all the heinous crimes that are shown and sexualized them at the same time
What heinous crimes committed by black people are you referring to Anon? Danny shot his step dad at Rockefeller Center.... Danny is white.
The drug dealer was black and sold Danny the gun, but aside from that, what else?
And Jerome had a sexual relationship with Ariana (Danny's Alter), but what crime did he commit exactly? 🥴
Granted, the drug dealer didn't have to be requesting Danny to do sexual favors in exchange for getting what Danny wanted, but I mean, are we gonna try to sit here and pretend that this type of stuff doesn't actually happen in real life?? Orr...... 👀
And what was the mystery of the show? What were we trying to solve? Was it the discovery of his DID personality or was it the shooting?
Personally?? I, as well as others (including even Tom himself) have said that maybe the one mistake Akiva made with releasing this series was trying to advertise it as a "mystery". It would have been better (imo) to just advertise the series as Danny simply coming to terms with his own childhood past, and his DID diagnosis. Imo, it wasn't so much about the audience NOT knowing whether Danny has DID or not. We knew before the show even aired. It was more so about Danny knowing, and how Rya was able to help him fit all of the missing pieces together of his life. I actually felt the show was very well done, and one of the very FEW films I've seen that treat the mental illness of DID with such care, compassion, and doesn't just make Danny out to be some kind of monster. JMHO
A few of these problems could have been solved in the editing of the show itself which was not good at all
I won't argue with your opinion Anon. We're all entitled to our own opinions on the series. Do I think there possibly could have been things that could have been better?? SURE! For example, I probably would have cut out most of the stuff in the first 3 episodes tbh...shortened them into maybe one episode or two, and spent a little more time on the court case by Ep 6 imo.
But overall, this series was NOT (imo) a "Sh*tty Show".

I made this comment in the reply of my post back in 19 october 2021.
I warned you guys that at some point that Arya stans will argue that Elia Martell is nothing like Sansa and would instead be more Arya, and lo and behold, two months later, that actually happened. Take a look at this post. These Arya stans really cannot stand the idea of Sansa having similarities with a non-villainous character.
There is a lot to unpack in these two posts. First of, I don't like the disgusting insinuation that Elia being traditionally feminine means that she would be a submissive victim. It's this the type of discourse we want? Denigrading everything that is traditional feminine? I don't give a fuck if you call yourself a feminist, if you genuinely believe this shit, you are misogynist and also very dumb. Clearly this person never heard of the trope Silk Hiding Steel.
Wanting to explore the world beyond your homeland isn't inherently feminine or masculine. It's gender neutral. Also Sansa voiced her interest in seeing the world beyond her homeland. It's for this very reason why Sansa was so excited to leave Winterfell, go to King's Landing and refused to leave when Ned said they were going back. Ironically, Elia wanted to explore the world shows there is similarity between her and Sansa.
Just because there is more opportunity to express yourself in Dorne doesn't automatically mean every woman there will be gender non-comforming. May I remind you of Arianne Martell. She is also someone who grew up in Dorne and Arianne is neither GNC or a warrior. However with that said, I wouldn't call her to be as soft and traditionally feminine as Sansa, because not every woman who doesn't physically fight automatically is like that.
No matter how atrocious this post is, these two people are right about one thing. Not all female characters have to be a soft traditionally feminine noble lady like Sansa, and it's certainly possible that Elia, just might not be like that, but as it stays, Sansa is the Westerosi feminine ideal. The vast majority of westerosi noblewomen are more like Sansa. It's for this very reason why Brienne gets so ruthlessly scrutinized for be the outlier. It's because of this why Arya feels so inadequate compared to Sansa.
This is what happened, you guys. In their desperate attempts to prove that Sansa shares no similarities with non-villainous characters Arya stans ended up invalidating the pain and suffering that both Brienne and Arya suffer for being gender non-conforming.
#Anti ASOIAF Fandom#Anti Arya Stans#Sansa Stark#Elia Martell#I fucking predicted the future you guys#fucking cassandra has nothing on me#Melisandre I stole your job#I am gonna get lots of hatemail for this post but I don't care#I am so done here#come at me @rya stans#I will tear apart the blatant hypocriscy you guys are displaying here

It saddest me the a little how @rya stans can't see why @rya is sailing away. Yes, is a sad ending but is because @rya is a war child, she has lived two years in a land of death and hunger unable to go back home, even if she has the means. Oh and surrounded of untrustworthy people.
Sailing away has the optential of undoing the damage caused by the war, is a healing opportunity. And i bet is gonna be like a backwards journey! Surrounded by a trustworthy people, perhaps a found family. Who knows maybe is Davos, Salladhor Saan, Gendry and Asha. But i don't know if she can go back tho, even if her story is surounded by swans who are known to migrate, i still don't know.
I haven't read Lotr, but i think one the characters has ptsd when he come back home isn't? He feels uncomfortable because his village has not changed contrary to him. Grrm has said he wants a similar ending, a bittersweet one. Arya, just like the others Starks, is gonna have one, one with sweet and bitter intermingled in it.
Hello, Anon!
The Arya/Frodo parallels and similarities aren't new, you can search about it in reddit and you will find a lot of theories.
Personally, I think Arya will find a way back home one day, like the story from this song:

My biggest happiness is that all these A/rya stans who hate Sansa were left FUMING and CRIPPLED by the show ending, and are currently scared about the books. A/rya prioritized her relationship with her sister over others/strangers, talked things over, and grew to truly love and ADMIRE her sister. It's A/rya stans worst nightmare come alive. They are still bitter about it, and will be even more bitter if the books come out, and A/rya doesn't turn out to be a cretin Sansa hater like the lot of them.
Imagine being scared of the ending when you stan the character who is most likely to end the fire threat, then hop on an all-inclusive cruise. Dumb.
Sign me up.

Why do @rya stans hate the idea of an adventurer ending for her so much? I really don’t get it coz when I see people discussing it, more often than not, it’s with the caveat that it wouldn’t be immediate. I.e. she’ll return home, stay for a bit, then go off exploring, with a home she can always come back to. I don’t see that as such a bad ending? I just don’t get what’s so offensive about it 🤔 I really like your thoughts, so what’s your take?
Hi there!
The thing is that the show did not make it a compelling ending for Arya as I explained in my show rant here.
I actually speculated in August 2018 that Ary@ would be the Frodo figure and go East at least for a while (here).
And I agree, if Ary@ can return any time, it's a good ending for her and also something she wanted. She wanted adventure and to have adventure instead of running for her life would be nice for her. With a home that is safe again at her back, a place where she can return to, she would enjoy this.
And I think the ending is actually foreshadowed multiple times, so to me it's only a question if Ary@ will kill Dany as is also foreshadowed.
As for why Ary@ stans hate the ending: They want several things for Ary@ that the character herself does not want. They want her to be a Queen (sometimes glossing over the fact that this would mean that all the other Starks must be dead, sometimes openly wishing for Sansa to die) - when this is the last thing Ary@ herself would want. They also want her to be a badass warrior, the champion of the smallfolk, the most beautiful woman ever, kindness in person, beloved by everyone and of course beloved by the man they identified as the male lead.
This is why they hate Ary@'s ending. They want Ary@ to win against her evil sister, they do not want Ary@ to he happy, or at least they think that she would be happy with her siblings dead and forced into the responsibility of ruling.
I have absolutely no idea how many of the Ary@ fans are that opposed to the show ending. I tend to only note the ones that jump on posts and disregard tagging. I think there must be quite a lot who see the potential of Ary@'s ending.
Thanks!

interesting that the @rya stan claims they would support Sansa having an extramarital affair with the Hound basically bc it's giving a woman agency in a society that marries them off like broodmares. Right. Except Sansa had no more agency with Joffrey and they 200% blame everything bad that happened with him on her.
Hypocrites... they're not fooling anyone.
^
And it is so clear this theory is what it is because it is bad for Sansa, not because they think it would be groundbreakingly feminist or woke or whatever in comparison to what us evil “purity loving” Sansa Stans want for her character. They don’t even know a) IF Sansa will even get married to Harry the Heir, most likely not, especially considering she already is technically to Tyrion and that has to come up at some point. b) If she DOES get married, whether Harry will turn out to be a dick to her. All they have as evidence for his supposed abusiveness are somewhat rude behaviors they wouldn’t bat an eye on coming from the likes of Sandor, who literally tried to rape her. What a nerve to claim to want Sansa having agency and then proceeding to ship her to someone who assaulted her as a little girl. Reminds me of those people who defend romances with male character who abuse their female love interests because “welLL WOmEn and gIrLs LIKE it soo…”
It is also out of character whether that makes us purity freaks or not. The theory stands soley on the idea that IF Sansa marries him, Harry will be straight up abusive, or at least a one dimensional dick forever without any sort of depth or character development whatsoever. I think both are unlikely or at least unproven (Pedoshippers love to demonize Harry and blow his canon flaws out of proportion because his existence means that… *gasp* Sansa doesn't need an abusive pedophile twice her age to "put her in her place" or even to have a romance with a diamond-in-the-rough-type character, which is what they claim to love so much about their pedoships) and we see in her chapters Sansa is willing to TRY to love any man she has become engaged to, starting by Joffrey whom she didn’t actually choose, thinking about Willas with hope, etc. Even with Tyrion she remembered what her septa said and tried to find beauty in him. It is sad and wrong she has had to do that, especially at such a young age, but that is just how she is. Trying to make the best out of her bad circumstances is as part of her as it is for Arya to fight injustice, and if Harry turns out not to be as bad as we initially thought, I can't see what Sansa would gain by having an affair outside of a marriage with someone she may come to love in time and even prove an influential and good enough ally to get her home back. This trait of hers might just finally bear fruit, which I can BET her haters would not enjoy to see happening because it means she will not have to become the opposite of what she is in order to “redeem” herself.
Edit: it is also not the extramarital-affair-due-to-arranged-marriage thing that bothers me as much, but a) the fact they want it to happen with one of her abusers and b) the fact for that to happen Sansa needs to experience abuse, disillusionment, and/or heartbreak AGAIN for no freaking reason. She already learnt her "lesson", alright? She was already beaten by the handsome prince who murdered her father. She has already been assaulted countless times. She already mistrusts Harry. She already thinks no one will ever marry her for love. What new thing does her story have to gain from the loveless marriage-affair premise? Literally nothing. It would be like Arya being treated with even more violence and trauma in the next book without being able to do anything, as if she didn't already know the smallfolk are treated horribly and that it needs to change. It would be useless and done for shock value, "oh look how the girl who dreamed of love can only find it under the worst of circumstances after years of abuse that lead to no personal gain but her running off with one of her abusers, one who lusted after her even as a little girl no less, so grimdark and bittersweet, so smart". That person just likes it for Sansa because it is bad for her. Sure this is GRRM, and he did tease bittersweet, but they conveniently forget that time he trashed the "highborn girl runs away with the stableboy" trope lol

Farya was not only a bad and unnecessary character, but was also sooo annoying, not only for me?
I mean…
outside how her character was out of the place, she wasn’t even likeable? My mum knew nothing of Ottoman history & how her character is so ahistorical and she hated Floprya so much, you cannot imagine.
Her ranting that if Mu/rat does not kill Ayşe, she will do it herself & being all “Damn ilahtar and Kösem, they will try to convince Murad not to kill Ayşe, and otherwise he’s so merciless DANG”.
Her feeling of superiority and being special truly shows you why she had best relations with
Mu/rat and Atike in the palace lmao.
She’s also repeatedly completely ignorant of Ottoman system & yet thinks she can be Valide (ater)?
Kösem, Gevherhan, and Ayşe told her multiple times how it works and what might ultimately befall her. Of course Ayşe wanted to just piss her off, but she actually told her truth – Murad was keeping her as his mistress closed in golden cage and just waiting when he decides to grace her with his presence, mostly at night to have some fun ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . Living outside harem meant that (surprise!) She had a worse situation than slave Ayşe, who had an acknowledged & legitimate position as haseki and mother of princes. Being a foreign princess meant nothing there – she was kept in hiding, had no clear position in Murad’s life, and was actually living in sin with Mu/rat (yes, Murad was so mad about Kasim breaking the rules, but he was doing something far more scandalising himself when it came to sexual propriety & he was the ruling padişah). Her being so happy about not being placed in harem initially & thinking how she was so special she was given a separate palace.. shows precisely how ignorant she was of the system she CHOSE to live in.
Kösem and Gevherhan warned her how not having a kids meant she would later fade into obscurity & even legal marriage could not change it – she completely dismissed it because of “their great luv” & stuff.
Kösem knew Murad much better than Floprya did LBR and when she said his “great luv” would pass, she knew what she was talking about – she was even shocked when Mu/rat gifted Farya with necklace because it wasn’t in his nature to do romantic gestures and caring about giving his women gifts. And even if you don’t trust these women because they don’t like you much, look at how this man is truly behaving towards you (if you ignore his behaviour towards Ayşe because yes we know you are a special snowflake).
Ignoring stuff such as period-appropriate behaviour (Murad laughing at Farya wanting to command an Ottoman army, I guess even less misogynistic men would laugh her off), he calls her his prisoner even before the pig incident, and afterwards…. 1) he hits her without even asking her why she put a freakin’ pig in; 2) keeps her wounded and bleeding in cell while making his decision, at the same time being all emo about how poor HE is because he loves this woman and she hurt HIM so; 3) when he (graciously, please everyone clap) decides to spare her, he doesn’t just let her go, he makes a show in which he scares her and “shows her her rightful place” aka on her knees before him; 3) continues to be offended and passive aggressive towards her afterwards; 4) gives her throne away behind her back without even asking her if she wants to stay with him; 5) rides after her, tells her “you slept with me, so you are my woman & you belong in my harem” & takes her on his horse forcefully (it doesn’t matter if she secretly wanted it inside); 6) didn’t explain why he gave her family’s throne to someone else even after he took her back to the palace, Atike had to do it; 7) yes, kept her without any status and intention to change it hidden in another palace, without any participation in his daily life and only visiting her when it suited him, not even sticking to any promises to come if he decided so, only the terrible incident with Farya’s miscarriage made him marry her and seeing how his “great luv” began to die after it, one does question whether it was out of love or him simply wanting to show everyone (both his mother and subjects) that he could do as he pleased, even against any rules; 6) he actually never promised her he would marry her and not have other women, it was only Farya always saying this – conversely, in MY Suleiman DID actually promise this to Hürrem and then did not keep it [doesn’t make Murad less of a dick, but shows how delusional Farya might be because he never actually said so himself or agreed to it].
And I said in one of my previous posts how Hürrem (and any harem women) weren’t homewreckers because it was indeed their only chance to have a family & love, but damn Floprya is a homewrecker because she truly didn’t have to stay with Mu/rat – she had her family, her throne, friends to come back to… please you knew what mess you created by coming there, and you had all the signs how violent this guy was and about his attitude to women… you could truly do a lot better, honey.
Murad never saw her as a consort of importance either. He never asked for her opinion on anything (he’d sooner even ask his mother) and when she got an accidental chance to say something (pleading with him not to execute a poor guy who forgot his lamp to bring his dad dinner, nota bene an incident described by Ottoman historian Mustafa Naima, just without Farya in the picture obviously), he completely ignored her and looked pissed she even dared to do so. It was frankly the only instance Floprya tried to talk Mu/rat out of something bad – even when he executed people who simply had been on the market during the attack on her (and even completely unrelated ones as later turned out), even though Kosem had already punished the actual attackers, our “kind-hearted” Floprya did nothing…. I’m not surprised he didn’t consult her before because he never does & well… talking sense to him never works because Kösem tried to reason with him it’s wrong, even for him because it provides people who want to go between him and ordinary people with great opportunity… and he didn’t give a fuck as always, but Farya never said anything, even following this? It was a matter closely connected with her and we never even see them talking about this or Floprya’s reaction to it? I can’t believe she didn’t hear about this… she likely just didn’t care.
Kösem also told her that marrying a sultan is not enough, and (since we know she couldn’t have kids) she should at least drag her ass and do something useful, like take care of people? Well, it was the only time we saw Floprya doing charity.
Following the wedding, Mu/rat began to gradually lose interest in Farya, including going after Sanavber after he saw her with dagger pointed at him because it seems he has a dagger-fetish & now Floprya even stopped wielding his favourite toy to have his attention… And again never forget Atike’s “Murad finally met a woman worthy of him, she can wield a sword like A MAN!” (STFU ALREADY ATIKE).
Speaking of Atike… Floprya encouraging Atike to pursue Silahtar even if it’s clear from Atike’s words he isn’t responsive to her, bah, even after it’s known he loves someone else… how stupid you can be to encourage Atike to get the guy who loves someone else and keep telling her again how special & daring she is, so go on and take what you want? Or Floprya threatening Silahtar to expose it was Gevherhan because he called her out on threatening Ayse at night with knife (yes, Ayşe was guilty, but there was no evidence at that point & it was not for her to go and punish somebody without evidence like that). He was just doing his job.
Farya later begins to openly mention her frustrations and how she’s now sidelined because she cannot have children… which of course makes her more the bitter and angry at Ayşe & striving towards revenge so bad – she isn’t satisfied that Ayşe got exposed and would be punished, she wants her DEAD & would not accept any other option (never mind that poor, innocent children would be orphaned in such a case).
Even after the matter is revealed and she does regret what she did, she’s as defensive as ever and tries to put all blame on depressed, abused woman aka Ayşe… she sees no fault of Mura/t’s there.
Still, she didn’t deserve execution for that, especially from hands of person who was chiefly responsible for the tragedy aka her husband… and her being pregnant saving her was meaningful.
Yet she continues to be ignorant about Ottoman system – now that Mura/t continues to pay her little attention even though she gave birth to two sons and instead spends time on drinking parties with Yusuf & other male buddies, she wants to be Valide and supports changing succession law back to the one involving fratricide… Okay, she doesn’t care about Murad’s brothers, but her own sons? Mu/rat being all “I don’t give a fuck” to Kösem pointing out one of his sons will kill the other is… well, him being himself, but Floprya should get worried about implications for her sons, right?
The scene with Sinan is SO indicative of Farya later on – she sits on balcony frustrated because she sits at palace all alone with her sons, while her hubby spends time on one of his parties & watching some (sexy!) dancer after promising her he would be now focused on his family (and even in that scene she still looked so scared of him), Sinan comes, calls her future "Valide Sultan”, she smirks, brightens up & already feels relevant and in better mood, so immediately does what he wants her to do and sends message to Mura/t about Kösem holding meeting with statesmen and ulema about changes in succession law.
Yet another win for Sinan!😂
Farya and Mu*rya stans claiming she was sooo "good-hearted” and they were equals.. were we watching the same show, eh? He didn’t treat her as her “equal” or whatever, even in “their best days”. The relationship was a disaster WAY before he tried to kill her.
I really never hated MY/K ship as much as I hated Mu*ya, a total disaster that really had nothing appealing to me – it was straight-up abusive plus it wasn’t even interesting. I swear even Mihrimah and Rüstem, while thouroughly dysfunctional, were more interesting to watch as a totally fucked up, toxic couple ugh.

Re: the episode 4 synopsis what are your concerns/theories? Or do you not want to say yet lol
HI @i-have-zero-chill
Sorry this came in this morning and then got buried in the crazy that was the cast pics. In case anyone missed it the full Press release for 4 dropped and as I said in my tags I do have some concerns. There is what we at the CTT have had as “The Theory that Shall Not Be Named,” for fear it would be like the second Fitznapping last season, that crazy theory that comes true.
COULSON UNCOVERS SECRETS AND BETRAYALS IN SPACE,ON ABC’S ‘MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.’
“A Life Earned” – Coulson and the team discover what their captors’ true intentions are; and in space, escape is not an option, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, DEC. 15 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez.
Guest starring are Jeff Ward as Deke, Dominic Rains as Kasius, Florence Faivre as Sinara, Max E. Williams as Tye, James Harvey Ward as Stone, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Grill, Rya Kihlstedt as Lady Basha, Tunisha Hubbard as Ava, Myko Olivier as Ben, Torrance Jordan as guard and Mark Rhino Smith as trader leader.
”A Life Earned” was written by Drew Z. Greenberg and directed by Stan Brooks.
A concern I’ve had is that we would have some sort of “slave’ trade going on here in Space and that worse the team would get wrapped up in it and possible wind up as bargaining chips themselves. The Title for 3, A Life Spent fueling those concerns. The Spent possibly indicating someone(s) life was bargained or traded. This could be the teams as a whole….or just Jemma’s as she’s been isolated and in a separate location from the others.
There have been other hints that the team, at very least those in the mine, are being forced to work against their will. They have those silver disks on their wrist that Grill can control.
With Characters like Lady Basha in the mix the theories about an upper class in the nice place also seem to be confirmed, they could very much have servants. Jemma is in the nice place in 2 and I’m thinking she’s still there in 4 unless Daisy can get her out. Sadly they synopsis doesn’t mention her or Daisy…just that Coulson learns the truth and shocker there is a betrayal…AKA don’t get super attached to any of the new faces from 1-3.
A big looming question for me what is it that has set Jemma apart, to get her completely separated from the others. Was it something like just having Virgil’s key or is it like I suspect with May/her piloting something about her skill set the people uptown want.

Ok this is very random but it has being bothering me for a while. The stans use the “you’ll marry a king” line as foreshadowing for Queen @rya but even if it were...here’s the thing: when you marry a king you are a queen consort. No power, you are only there to provide heirs and your standing hangs on your husband’s will. Ask Anne Boleyn how much her position as Queen protected her once her husband got tired of her. Heck, even in universe we see poor Ellia completely vulnerable once Rathgar humiliated her in public.
Married to a king would put @rya in a similar position to Ellia Martell or Cersei. The only power Cersei has right now hangs by the thread of Tommen’s life. Her kingdom is falling apart already and when he dies she will fall like a house of cards. Wives of kings do not rule on their own.
Sansa on the other hand will rule on her own right as the oldest sister of King Robb, the last King in the North. Her position as Queen does not depend on any man, her power comes from her Stark name and not a marriage, therefore she can marry -or not- freely.
So, you know, that foreshadowing is not exactly what they think it is.
> not exactly what they think it is.
Arya fandom in a nutshell.
Let em know @minitafan! Bravo.
That fandom forever clinging to that passage is the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen. Can you imagine how hard they have to work to look past her father talking about one of his children sailing the Sunset Sea sentences before? That has to be a struggle, I don’t envy them.
Sailor Moon is going to sail the ocean blue, and they can die mad about it.

Just a stray thought. I think Sylvia Plath uses the word “horsey” to describe somebody close to 10 times in The Bell Jar. Yet certain @rya stans seem to think that Sansa using that word to describe the Waynwoods is definitely proof that she used it with Arya, and not just because it is a word commonly used to describe people with certain facial features.
Hi there!
It is indeed a common description for long faces, and even Jon Snow calls Alys Karstark "coltish" because of her ressamblance to Ary@. Lol!
It's usually not a compliment. Brienne thinks of her face as horsey.
As I have argued before on the matter of "horseface", the evidence is ambiguous. We are not witness to Sansa ever saying horseface to Ary@'s face. We don't even have her thinking horseface. She certainly thinks her sister looks 'horsey', and these thoughts come into the forefront when she clashes with Ary@. Jeyne claims that she invented the insult and Ary@ herself seems to have a shady memory. In the beginning she only names Jeyne as the one using the insult, but later she remembers others, including Sansa and it always made me wonder if Ary@ misremembers. I argued elsewhere that it is suspicious that neither Ned nor Cat nor any of the other siblings remember Sansa using the insult. In addition it is not the insult to run to for Sansa. The one time we witness her absolutely losing it she calls Ary@ stupid, hairy and ugly. It is the same with Ary@. Ary@ often thinks Sansa is stupid but rarely says it. It was always my suspicion that their parents strictly forbade that behaviour.
So, Sansa listened to Miranda saying that the Waynwoods must descend from a mare. This is not the same as throwing insults at a regular basis. Sry, not sry, girls are allowed to giggle with each other a bit and a personal conversation is not the same as a public one.
Thanks for the ask!
#anon ask#Sansa Stark#Ary@#The question of horseface#I really don't think Sansa used it regularly#the evidence points against that
