Just the other day, when painting and YouTube playing background music, several Shaman King AMVs passed including a particular Tao Ren one. Now, whilst I never roleplayed on Tumblr, I actually did used to have a Nepgear RP blog on a different site and was part of several different fandom roleplaying groups as well in which I played as OCs. Obviously, this included Shaman King and whilst I cannot be entirely certain, that AMV I am talking about, actually used a song by one of the favorite bands of another Tao Ren fangirl I used to RP with nearly a decade ago. I swear, her music taste is the only thing I remember about her and I bet if she were the creator indeed, that she wouldn't remember me either. And then today, I actually came across a Tao Ren rp account. I see the sign, oh divine cosmos. I'm starting a Shaman King rp blog as a sideblog and will revamp my old OC. Perhaps I'll restart my Nepgear RP blog here too, or perhaps create an entirely new different OC as CPU. I'm not entirely decided yet! I'll post the link to my RP blog once I am finished with revamping my old OC's backstory and making the blog! (To my KNB fans, I am really sorry for the lazy posting lately. I swear the Hanamiya watercolour is turning out really nice so far and Basic Instinct Chapter 13 is just so much angst that I'm working ever so slowly on it because the number of depressing possibilities popping up in my head is seriously making me feel down whenever I'm writing it. Like, I don't want to hurt Akashi this badly but damn I cannot let the opportunity slide. This entire chapter feels like plummeting out of heaven straight to the abyss, and it's only the beginning of the story taking a dramatic turn)

Out of curiosity, how do you feel about your writing?

I'll try to be as honest as possible here. If I were to rate my writing, I'd give myself a solid 4/10. I don't necessarily think I'm a bad writer, I just feel like I've never gotten the opportunity to really reach my full potential. Any time I've felt proud of something I've written, I'd come back to it a few weeks later and reread it, and usually I realise that I actually hate it.

I really think I have the potential to write something good, but I feel like if it's going to be through roleplay, it's going to have to be with a character I can totally feel comfortable writing. There aren't many of those, but the ones that come to mind are; Neptune(Hyperdimension Neptunia), Uni(Hyperdimension Neptunia), Shinki(Touhou), my D&D characters, Bambietta(Bleach) and Vegito(Dragon Ball). I currently don't rp Vegito, but I did rp him a lot back in my teen years.

Outside of Shinki, I don't feel confident writing any other Touhou characters, because I feel like I don't have the same connection to it as a lot of people do. Keep in mind, this doesn't mean I don't like Touhou, I love it! But outside of reading the wiki and learning about the characters from others, I don't feel a connection with them. The only reason I even feel a connection with Shinki is because she feels like an OC to me.

When it comes to the Neptunia characters, I used to rp the Neptunia characters a lot, and I think it's one of the only fandoms where I felt I could put myself into that character. Or at least that was true until they decided to release 100 games gkjfghdkjgh. The only Neptunia games I've really played are Re;birth 1, Re;birth 2, Mk2 and Victory. I played a little of Re;birth 3 but I never finished it. I've played a little bit of some of the sidegames, but I've never even played V-II.

When it comes to Bleach, I'll keep it brief. Bleach is my favourite series, I've rewatched it and reread it multiple times, I feel like I know how the characters would react to certain situations or what they'd do in certain situations.

But in reality, I really don't think I've done a lot of good work, especially recently. I know I have the potential in there, but I need the opportunity to do it. I like to world build, and I feel like I could build an interesting world. But I don't have the confidence to do that right now. So yeah I think I'm a solid 4/10 right now, with a potential to maybe grow to an 8/10.

"Top five video games, go."

I'll limit this to one per series, otherwise it will mostly be Final Fantasy games. I'm also making this a top 8, because there are three more I want to mention.

Number 8 - Stardew Valley, this is my feel-good game. I play this whenever I'm stressed or feeling down and it usually relaxes me.

Number 7 - Super Mario 64, who didn't love this game? I still play this game every now and then and it's just always so much fun. I want to try a speedrun of it sometime.

Number 6 - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, my very first Zelda game and I think it's one of the first games I ever finished. I loved this game so much as a child and these days I love playing randomisers! I need to play one again soon.

Number 5 - Sonic Adventure, not my first Sonic game (that was Sonic 2), but this was the best in the series in my opinion. I loved the fact that you could play as multiple characters each with their own story that would eventually combine. This game needs a remake at some point, I'd love it.

Number 4 - Hyperdimension Neptunia: Victory, I played a bunch of Neptunia games one after another when I first got into the series and this one stood out to me the most. I'm not sure why this one specifically, but I just enjoyed this one the most. Neptunia is also the reason I started roleplaying on tumblr (I used to rp on forums before that) and it's how I met my best friend.

Number 3 - Pokemon Sun & Moon, a controversial opinion as I know a lot of people think this is one of the worst Pokemon games. But I loved everything about it(and USUM). I loved the characters, the story, the new Pokemon they added. It was everything I wanted in a Pokemon game.

Number 2 - Metal Gear Solid, probably the game I've played the most. I've played this game about 50 times and I'm not exaggerating on that. I used to speedrun it when I was about 14 or 15. At that point, I was fairly close to the world record. I'd love to speedrun it again in a stream or something some time!

Number 1 - Final Fantasy IX, my favourite game of all time. Love everything about it from the characters, story, gameplay and music. There's nothing I don't like about this game. I'll always recommend this game to anyone wanting to play Final Fantasy unless they're trying to find one with a more specific game feature.
