This is the bridge comic I've wanted to draw forever between the Hyrule Historia manga (that introduced Hylia and First Link) and the start of Skyward Sword. My hands finally caught up to my brain.

So the headcannon that Wind can see ghosts right?

Headcannon, he can see Mipha revive Wild

Headcannon, he can see lil Time, who died, watch over Legend and Hyrule

(ie worry over when they look sad or curl up and sleep w/ them)

Headcannon, he can see Fierce Deity float around Time, Wars, and the others

(ie poking Wars in the ribs and muttering about his eating habits, trying to push Time back to his bedroll, attempting to tuck Wild in, fretting over whenever Twilight gets injured, sitting by a homesick Sky, curled up around Legde and Rulie w/ lil dead Time's ghost, making funny faces at Wind once discovering he can actually see him)

Headcannon that whenever it seems Four's eyes look purple-ish, he sees Shadow flicker over him with a very fond look in his eyes

Headcannon that Wind can see the first one flash to life above them full of fury when one gets badly injured or angry, he's the most corporal, so much so that Wind thought he was alive the first time, he particularly likes Sky

Headcannon that none of them know until Wind tells them or something happens

Legend of Zelda really heard the "what sort of being chooses an orphaned child/teenager as their chosen one?!?" moral quandary and answered repeatedly with "another orphaned child/teenager" and/or "his best friend who doesn't know who else to ask" and "his soulmate, who is in danger, again, and who's heart breaks every time she has to ask him to fight" and you know what? Those are the only valid answers ever.

The Heroine of the Echoes! I'm in love with the idea of a Zelda with ZELDA as the protagonist, an theres so much details in the trailer that i want to talk like of course about Link to! I think this is a new hero, not the hero of the legend but what do you guys think?

Also, i love the detail that Zelda doesnt use the same dress in the gameplay that in the beggining, new outfit with link's hood.

'I am still your Zelda' - Sam McHale - 2023 - Digital (Procreate)

This is a piece that I worked on last year (while waiting for Tears of the Kingdom of course), I was still pretty new to digital art at the time so the rendering isn't the best and something I continue to practice.

But I always loved how story driven and powerful Skyward Sword was and that might still be my favorite iteration of Zelda in the series. I still get a little teary eyed when Zelda tells Link, "While it's true that I am Hylia reborn, I'm still my father's daughter and your friend... I am still your Zelda." Ugh. My heart lol
