“W-wait,” Kyle rasped. He staggered forward and nearly collapsed on the cot as Marcus’s head lolled to the side, as his eyes fluttered shut. “Wait, wait, no…” The resistance jacket slipped off his shoulders.

Kate’s head snapped up as she taped down the IV in John Connor’s arm. “We… we have to, Kyle…”

“I know, but…” Kyle bit his lip. He barely noticed the tears that fell onto Marcus’s shirt from Kyle’s chin. “Can’t we… isn’t there something that could… keep him alive?”

Kate pressed her lips together and squeezed Connor’s hand. “I… I mean, in the old days there was ECMO, there were ways, but… Kyle, I doubt we could even find a working ECMO machine, let alone get it back to base. And it needs constant power, and we have outages all the time. And it’s about as big as two cots put together. There’s no way…” Her eyes darted back and forth. “I mean, I don’t think… well, something they used to use in the old days was… an LVAD, for this kind of thing…”

Kyle blinked. “What’s… an LVAD?”

“Is it…?” Kyle went pale when John Connor spoke, still clinging to life. “Is it something I… could build?”

Kate’s eyes went wide. “Oh… John, I think you could. It’s so simple. It’s just a continuous pump in place of your heart. It usually has an external battery, but… in those days, you had to carry around the battery in a pack with you. If we could—”

“We could take a hydrobot,” Connor said weakly. “Take out the hydraulics pump. I could wire it to… run continuously… use the nuclear… battery from the hydrobot… once I—” He gasped and whimpered softly, fumbling at his chest.

“We need to do this now,” Kate said in a rush. “Now, before…” She turned a dial on a machine hooked up to Connor’s IV. “I love you,” she whispered, carefully maneuvering around her pregnant belly so she could bend and give him a kiss. “I’ll see you soon.”

“Keep him alive,” Connor breathed as the sedatives washed through him. He slumped back against the cot. “Keep him alive as long as… you can…”

“No fucking promises,” Kate hissed as she turned to scrub her hands for surgery. “I have no idea how I’m even going to keep you alive for this.” She turned to the tall man standing beside Kyle. “Barnes, help me with this.”

Barnes stepped forward without a word and began to cut the shirt away from Marcus’s chest.

Ope, there it goes again. OH LOOKIT DAT! ITS...uh...i think its bumblebee. I think you're taller than our bee honestly. Oh well, hi dere friend, names Riptide! Sorry bout the sudden appearance. Seems a weird portal keeps teleportin me across the...univer...multiv...thingaverse thingie. I keep going to places and i dont know why. But this place looks pretty cute! Wats up?

Of course Bumblebee looked over seeing the portal, and muttered a soft. "Ah, here we go again, some crazy shenanigan stuff about to happen." It seemed like the yellow bot was used to it here. But of course upon seeing the blue hydrobot drop down, he looked over them, poking him a bit to see if he was ok. "You ok buddy?" The small bot asked, getting a smile from him when he saw he was. "Ok, good I'm glad you didn't get scrapped there. But it's nice to meet ya Riptide, don't worry, we've been getting a lot of multiverse visitors ourselves."

The Autobot smiled a bit, shaking his helm. "But the fact I'm finally taller then another Bee? That's so cool! Finally I'm not the shortest heh! But this place is nice, hope ya like it in Detroit for a while! But ah nothing much other then stopping the occasional baddie and all, you probably know how it is if you ever fought Decepticons or troublemakers before." The smaller said with a shrug of his own.

Hi, thank you very much for updating randomizer :) My ofb bots are still getting traits/colours - I tested only with randomizer and required mods installed. Basically, once the robot e.g. ofb HydroBot is turned on, it will for whatever reason get traits and afterwards repeatedly get colour traits all over again. Is there any way to fix it? Thank you again :)

Ohh, thank you for telling me about this. I'll add them to the NPC check. When the update comes through I'll let you know.

It was quiet at the Erdvitch household this week

After a promotion to Cat Burglar for Jocelyn, and another best selling novel on the shelves for Nella, the couple celebrated with a romantic brunch date at Ram's.

The twins have been working on their respective hobbies. An amateur comedienne, Enid has been spending time practicing her set, but has no prospective gigs yet, she hopes that her job as a server in the city will give her some opportunities.

Lorcan is hoping to go in to showbusiness, so has set himself up as a streamer for the time being until he can head to the city and make a name for himself.

With Saturday off of school, the two headed down to the new library to pick up some books, and spent the afternoon watching a movie.

For dinner, Lorcan was planning on making pizza for everyone, but being unlucky and a terrible cook, we instead had Lumelia's first fire in quite a while. The fire department were quick to respond, and not far behind, the hydrobot did his best. Good bot.

Having a stranger barge into their home, despite a highly advanced security system, is enough to raise their blood pressure as is, but for him to make demands for something so asinine and… insulting as a fortune is enough to make them see red.

Their daughter squeaks and scuttles away as they march forward to meet him head on. Their sharp fangs are bared in a snarl, and their secondary legs are flared in an intimidation display.

first year Ever that geoff and i have had the same game of the year. thats the only reason my holy pillar of flame didnt immolate him this year

Lucille was the first to notice the mess the HydroBot had caused. She immediately turned it off and fixed it for her uncle.

She left the cleaning to him though. As you can see, his house wasn't very clean before the water accident anyway x)
