The Inuzuka Boy in question loved to tease Naruto into a frenzy, there was literally no better entertainment, but every now and again it backfired... Their tempers were evenly matched at times and Naruto had been getting a little better at biting back.

The boys are in the kitchen working on a Thanksgiving Spread that would feed half the town.

Damon is already drinking, because Stefan made him go to the store at 6am to find cranberries. Apparently the canned kind were not good enough.

That left Stefan to wrangle the toddler around a hot stove, all the while trying to convince her to eat breakfast or she would be a nightmare before the main course of the day was ready.

Luckily, Damon got back in time to make pancakes with smiley faces, for Lizzy and Mama - who wasn't awake yet.

All in all, it was their first thanksgiving together as a whole family and the boys were determined to make it a special one.

The smell of food eventually wakes the sleeping vampire and she gets up, fixing her hair and clothes so she can walk downstairs nothing short of a vision.

She's immediately tackled by a toddler with messy hands because she got into the cookie dough. So much for looking nice, but she had a kid so thats on her.

Hoisting the terror offspring up to sit on her hip Katherine takes the scene of her boys hard at work in and smiles.

For the first time in a long time its a genuine smile. On a day where you're supposed to be thankful for what you have, she can honestly feel like she is. It's not always perfect, sometimes its down right hell... but its hers... all of it.... and she's thankful.

"The biggest down fall of having a kid is Damon can't cook in nothing but the apron anymore." Katherine teased as she rounded the island to give both of them a kiss. She knows better than to linger- they're very serious about cooking.

"Lizzy and I are going to go watch the parade on t.v let me know if you need me." Her contribution to their sanity, the child wrangling.

"Oh and boys...." She paused, looking them both over with a soft fondness. "I love you."
