I know I said that I headcanon America as aroace, but this is one of those rare, once-in-a-blue-moon ships that causes me to reconsider. Makes me sort of want to headcanon him as still being asexual, but also demiromantic. Which would still place him under the aroace umbrella, but I digress.

Whoop history vs. personality analysis again!

When it comes to their history, I see it as a bit of a push and pull. At least from my perspective as an American. The U.S. established a diplomatic relationship with the Republic of Belarus and recognized its independence in 1991. However, this relationship has been kind of off and on and has managed to grow sour over the last couple of decades. I won't go into full detail here, but it's been less than ideal. Though we do supposedly send aid to Belarus through a USAID office in Vilnius to help the Belarusian people. This was after our previous office was closed in Minsk, which shows some desire to help and/or reach out to the Belarusian people.

Overall, because of differences in belief about how governments should be run, as well as Belarus's close relationship with Russia, I can say that their relationship could be strained by this.

Now on to personality. Shockingly enough, I can see it potentially going well. As is the case with other ships, they play into my preference for opposites attract. What's important to me, though, is that these opposing characteristics complement one another rather than clash.

Belarus always struck me as being rather cold and distant, which would contrast greatly with America's warm and open personality. Also, I adore the grumpy x sunshine trope. And in my opinion, this couple would fit that to a T. I also feel like her vulgar, icy, and deadpan snark would amuse America. I can see America finding her to be very fun and entertaining to be around.

As for Belarus, I feel like she'd either get annoyed with America very quickly, or he'd eventually wear her down. Maybe he'd show her a better, more free way of living her life? I always got the feeling that Belarus had trust issues, and maybe America can help her with that?

But most of all, I am intrigued by the idea of all the angst this can bring up. I can already imagine the epic story of a forbidden romance, where America and Belarus want to be together, but Russia absolutely forbids it.

i think their relationship is based on mutual attraction, revulsion, and self-deceit. america is convincing himself that "winning" belarus' affections will be easy and that he's just in it to spite russia, meanwhile she's playing pseudo-flirtatious passive aggressive mind games with him on a level beyond comprehension.

it gets really uncomfortable for both of them really fast and so he kicks her out. ^^

Request: America and Belarus having breakfast in a fancy hotel's dinning hall during a world meeting?

During a world meeting you say? Nothing stops the hero from sneaking out of meetings.

Scenario #3: AmeBel

Alfred and Natalya have been fairly close friends for a long while and they work well together. At the beginning of their friendship, they didn't do too much together, but the stronger their bond grew, the more they hung out.

Before one of the world meetings started, both Alfred and Natalya both decided to ditch the meeting. It was a nice day out and they didn't want to waste an hour or even more stuck in a meeting. Plus it was breakfast time and they were both hungry, so they decided to sit down at the hotel restaurant instead. That way they could enjoy the rest of the day doing what they please rather than taking even more time inside to get food after the meeting. It was Alfred's treat.

The two of them are seated at a table by the window. The rays of sun are shining through the large window and Alfred can't help but to notice how the light really brought out Natalya's eyes. Usually he isn't one for catching small details like that, but wow. Gorgeous eyes that stood out against her pale skin. A few snaps in the face and Alfred is snapped out of his small trance.

Something that the two of them have been doing is teaching each other their languages. Natalya, even though she knows English, isn't 100% fluent, so Alfred helps her touch up on that. In return, Natalya has been teaching Alfred Belarusian. Even a little bit of Russian so he could insult Ivan. It was her subtle way of payback for Ivan running away from her all the time.

Anyway, as they're eating this wonderful breakfast, Alfred is scarfing down his food like it's nothing. Natalya, concerned for Alfred's health, tells Alfred he needs to slow down, but in her native tongue. Confused, Alfred stops eating and, through a mouthful of food, tries to ask her what she said. Even though he didn't understand, it still worked.

The way Alfred reacted makes Natalya laugh and she hides half of her face with one hand. Alfred is shocked but wow, is he excited to hear her laugh. He can't help but to tell her, "stop covering your face, there's no need to hide." He paused for a moment. "You have a nice laugh too."

Natalya, at that point, wants to hide away. She can feel her face heating up, which REALLY stands out against her skin. However, she drops her hand but she pouts and crosses her arms, then looks out the window. Speaking in her mother tongue again, says something about how the look on Alfred's face when he's confused is cute.

Alfred picks up on a few of the words enough to understand what she said and just kind of...stares at her. Only to burst out in a big goofy grin and saying, "of course the hero is cute!"

After a little bit more giggling and Alfred adoring her laugh, they finish their food, Alfred pays for their meal, and they leave to go do whatever they please. Both of them have also ignored any texts or calls from the other countries.

Instead of Belarus being jealous of Alfred going out with Russia, it’s the other way around. Same with Russia if Belarus became Alfred’s girlfriend. Commence scary Slavic glares and arguments over the oblivious America who thinks they’re all just really good friends.

Finally finished a lineup of the four main girls for my Housewife AU @w@

So first off we have Mattie Braginskaya, the wife of Ivan Braginsky. Mattie is a bit more shy than the other three and is a homebody for the most part. Very lady like and sweet, with a gentle and polite disposition and quiet voice, she’s often times viewed by others as a homemaking goddess. She’s a talented cook and even more talented baker and crafter.

Then there’s Natalya Jones, the wife of Alfred F. Jones. She comes off as cold and quiet but she’s very calculating. She takes her work as a housewife very seriously and is known to keep an incredibly impeccable home (quite a feat given Alfred!). 

Felicia Beilschmidt, the wife of Ludwig Beilschmidt, is all bubbly personality, if just a tad bit airheaded sometimes. She’s usually bustling around town, running errands and always finding the time to stop and talk with everyone she comes across. Most commonly you’ll find her bustling about her kitchen, making fresh pasta and cooking things with delicious aromas!

 And finally, Kiki Kirkland, the wife of Arthur Kirkland. Kiki has a very calm and refined demeanor and comes from a very well off, old Japanese family. She spends a lot of time in her garden, tending the flower beds and rose garden as well as putting together beautiful floral arrangements.

I’m hoping to do some art involving their husbands as well too lol This was more to get height sizes down, comparing between all the four girls.

EngBela = England x Belarus

I do not like the inconsistency. 😩

Easy solution is to replace AmeBel with AmeBela as the main ship name, and by extension, use Bela in any Belarus ship.

Either that or start consistently using "Belg" for Belgium instead of "Bel".

I'm just saying, it's confusing and causes ships to get mixed in the tags. 😅
