Telltale
Singularity x Reader
Hiiii. It's been a while, I know. I won't get into it 'cause it doesn't matter, but sorry for basically abandoning my blog lol.
Obviously not my best work, but just trying to get back into writing (especially because I'm kind of just taking a break from my original story I've been developing ^^). I hope you guys at least find this decent, thank you for reading :) I just wanted to try my hand at some things with Hux because he's been on my mind a lot lately
Words: 1,840
Warnings: Typical canon violence mentioned(tell me if I need to add anything else!). Edited but I should have edited again lol
Hate. It was the perfect word to describe how he felt about the rats who called themselves humans. No: rats was too good of a word for them.
He hated these…parasites. Hated every bit of them. Hated the way they thought themselves mightier than all. Hell, he even hated the way they sounded.
In fact, Hux especially hated the way they all sounded.
Their conversations were obnoxious, as was the way they chewed and drank. The way they breathed in the oxygen in his presence; it was atrocious. And it was especially awful when their breathing blew out traces of fear. And with fear in their systems came the sound of their hearts. Oh, the beating of their frail, little hearts always managed to increase his fury.
When it wasn’t the ear-shattering screams piercing the Entity’s realm that brought such a fury, it was the quick, dull drumming against their chests.
The screams, the shrieks, the cries….those were all momentary. They were released once flesh was impaled by rusted hook, and they ended once Hux’s voicebox demanded they quit the squabbling.
But Hux found the sound of their hearts maddening, and he would never admit his own fault to this madness. The price for such heightened senses was paid with every irritating sound that was capable of physically paining him.
Trials proved vexatious with how often he was subjected to the beatings of their hearts. Nobody could hear these things like he did; nobody experienced the pain that came with hearing such an awful, repetitive noise. And the sounds only continued when he got out of every trial and returned to what could be called his “home”. Once his stroll involving the harmless sounds coming from Dvarka’s lifeforms came to an end, he was met with sounds from within the inhabited Huxlee Caracas III.
Hux could only stand in the doorway of the ship, twitching more than the usual as his systems caught the sound of a heart beating.
“Find it.”
That voice. How it startled him every time. Even after all this time, Hux had not yet grown accustomed to the voice inside him.
“Terminate it.”
Hux refrained, still standing as he searched for that voice as if he didn’t know who it was spoke to him.
“But it will come back.” he countered, practically feeling the heart’s beats pounding from within his own head. “It comes back every time.”
“Then terminate it again.”
Hux quickly whipped his head to the side where the heart’s beats proved to be loudest.
“And again.”
Finally he moved; jumping in place before hurrying up the steel stairs that connected the ship’s levels. The heart sounded louder now that he was up the stairs and in the second story; it was as though the heart pounded in his very chest.
“There it is.”
“There it is.” he repeated once his sensors scanned the area, having caught sight of the body of the singular survivor that was ever allowed in his realm when not in trial. Not like he really left them the choice to leave.
Hux stood in the doorway of the new floor; his movements having ceased as he pondered and listened to the voice in him. It was insidious how stealthily he remained in place, so stealthy that the survivor never once noticed his arrival, never once noticed how he crept closer to the pile of futons they lay curled upon.
“Terminate it.”
And with the thumping drumming loudly through his systems, Hux obliged and brought himself even closer towards the human. In fact, desperation had entered him and prompted him to raise his scythe up high, aimed at the human who had still not become aware of him.
What a fool.
He had moved so fast he sliced into the wind without a sound, so fast that he nearly plunged his scythe into the human. Almost, for his scythe was forcibly hindered midair.
“Why did you stop?”
It was a rather good question provided by his inner voice. Why did he cease what he had already performed various times? He never hesitated to do it in the past when he questioned why this human had caught his attention. But now…
Hux found himself motionless once more, frozen as he processed the sounds this human made. The breaths they inhaled before exhaling it back out as carbon monoxide; even their bodily functions expelled waste. The soft groans their lips released as their eyes and eyebrows twitched in reaction to whatever dreadful things they dreamt of. The blood running through each and every vein that connected to their core.
He isolated the sound of their heart. That sound…it was what forced him to hesitate. It was tantalizing how it beat inside of them in a way he would not be able to see unless he proceeded with his previous actions. It enticed him how the heart beat in a rhythm he could actually distinguish as something not recognizable.
The heart did not beat fast. It only beat loudly when Hux finally processed it, and it wasn’t pounding against his innards. Instead…it was in a state of diastole, pumping blood in a relaxed manner. There was no terror or hate present in it.
Hux finally lowered the frozen claw back to his side, as it stood in his sights and did not allow him to examine the survivor. His sensors gave them one good scan, taking note of the lack of fright in their snoozing expression. With such an expression, it was as though they believed there to be no danger in their presence. As if nothing in the Entity’s realm would ever harm them.
“What a fool.”
Both Hux and the voice in him spoke as he glazed over the survivor. It was then that he noticed something peculiar. In their arms was a miniature box he recognized as a monitor belonging to the ship. And in between the sounds of the human’s soft heartbeats and a gentle groan, he caught the sound of the monitor’s humming. Quite reminiscent of the sounds that came from his perfect body.
The monitor in the survivor’s arms was up and running, though it merely displayed a blue screen awaiting a command. It was strange that they removed the box from its place to hold it like some trinket.
“Hux?”
This was not his voice. No, this voice belonged to the survivor whose eyes now opened, eyes fluttering like the alien organisms that flew around the base. He watched them release the monitor with a single hand to rub said eyes, vision clearing enough before it resulted in something new.
The thumping against their chest, that same annoying sound was back with how their heart rate increased. Yet…the rhythm once again proved itself different from what he would typically hear in trials. Once again, it lacked terror and hate, and it was very apparent to Hux.
“Were you gone for long? I’m not even sure when I shut my eyes.” the human stretched their arms out before sitting upright with the monitor in their lap.
“Answer unknown.”Hux promptly replied. “Explain.”
“Explain?” they asked with a few blinks of their eyes, soon realizing that Hux was referring to the monitor once he placed the tip of his claw on its surface. “Oh! Well, I was just waiting to be called in for a trial and decided to play around with the stuff here.”
They offered him a grin, but soon turned away rather sheepishly.
“I somehow found myself getting drowsy and just…held it as I dozed off I guess.”
“For what purpose?”
“Oh, I dunno…I guess it was just…comforting.” they offered a shrug with their fingers tapping against the monitor. “Sounds kind of like you. Helps me center myself when all these sounds are around me. I guess I just love the sound of you.”
“But you hate the sound of them.”
“No.”
“No, what?” Both his voice and the human questioned his response. “Hux?”
He quickly whipped his body around to face a nearby crate, and he used his same claw to stab into it.
“Sit.”
Clearly not needing to be told twice, the survivor immediately stood from their makeshift nest to take a seat on the crate. From their new, higher point that matched something close to Hux’s chest, they watched him circle until he stood before them. Almost immediately, he hunched over to look them directly in the face.
He honed in on their sounds once again as he ignored the noises from within the Huxlee Caracas III and the noises from the organisms outside of it. And just as he did that, he heard their heart increase in rate again.
Did they finally feel fear? The fear that struck them every time he hunted them down before the Entity forbade them from ever facing each other in trial…was it back?
Hux heard their heart slow down as he noticed their facial features grow soft, a small smile now present on their face as they hesitantly reached a hand out to his head.
“Can I?” they whispered into the visor that hovered inches from their face, not getting any response from Hux which was his form of consent. They placed their hand on the side of his head, listening to the machinery attached to synthetic flesh. Their warm fingers delicately rubbed circles into his flesh; that he could also hear.
And soon enough they brought their arms around him, enveloping his head that was brought to their chest.
“I love moments like these,” they breathed out, and even with Hux’s senses they weren’t overwhelmingly loud. It was nothing like the screams of all those other worms that mixed with the mechanical sounds of the generators being worked on, nor was it like the whispers of the Entity speaking to him as a false guide during trials.
No, this was the contrary of all the other irksome sounds that drove him to madness. It was almost something that helped him ground himself amongst the big world he was thrown into. Something that would turn down his god-like senses, allowing him to rest from Entity’s mockery.
“Did something happen?” the human spoke to him, interrupting the sound of their own beating heart that now actually pounded against Hux’s head once he pressed his head against their chest. It was as though that hideous thing spoke to him through their chest, very well knowing he was on the other side.
“Stop squabbling.”
“Okay.” Hux did not look at their facial features, but the way they moved against him and tightened their hold told him that their smile only grew. He felt them rest their head upon his, listening to every one of the parts that moved inside and outside of him.
They were clearly at ease with how they inhaled, soon releasing their breath as a warm air that covered Hux’s head. It was foolish of them, but this foolishness was more than enough to help him forget about the sounds for just a moment.

Hello. I am here to ask you about their paralells and how insane they make you. Pretty please... you're the only one feeding us the good food...
Going insane. white knuckling my pen and paper. I will do my best to make this coherent, apologies in advance if its a mess!!
In the simplest terms both Gabriel and Hux are carbon copy assembly line units created by Huxlee industries for the purpose of colonizing planets and prolonging the human race.
Gabriel is a tool just as much as the Huxlee units are.
"Each individual was manufactured for a different societal function... The idea was to create a functional society that would operate flawlessly." - Gabriel Soma BIO
"Unlike human clones, the HUX-A7 required no food, no water, no sleep, and no life support system. It was created specifically for outer space exploration and the construction of colonization hubs." - HUX-A7-13 BIO
Gabriel was specifically designed by Huxlee for planet colonization. Outside of his time on Dvarka, I gather that Gabriel was in a permanent deep sleep/cryostatis. All of his memories of his family and childhood are fabrications- he has no real life or directives or experiences outside of his work on Dvarka.
---
Both were under the threat of termination, or reprogramming should they fall out of line.
"Dmitri’s not trying to help… he’s trying to get me to stop asking questions. What does he know? What’s he hiding?" - Tome 16, Memory 2998 (Gabriel Soma)
"It remembers its objective. It must assist the crew in terraforming Dvarka. Failure to do so will result in termination."- Tome 16, Memory 2665 (Hux-a7-13)
When Gabriel first starts noticing discrepancies in his memories, his crew's medic writes off his issues as "problems that dont exist", and gives him a drug that fogs up his senses. Its a clear attempt to force him back into subservience, a message of "Stop digging or else".
We're never able to find out what would happen to Gabriel if it became known that he found out about the fact hes a clone, but I gather he would be removed from the project. Terminated so he wouldn't spread panic.
--
After Gabriel finds out about the fact he's a clone, it's a lot harder to get more direct info on his mentality, since thats where his Memory archives end.
Neither of them have much experience with free will.
Due to the fact that both Gabriel and Hux were taken by the entity near immediately after learning they were a clone/gained sentience, it isnt much of a stretch to say that neither of them have experience with a sense of individuality.
Gabriel learns that his entire life has been a fabricated lie and then is immeidately shoved into a killing game. He doesn't really get that chance to come to terms with who and what he is before having to fight for his life.
Hux on the other hand, had more time to digest his new worldview. He was able to start forming his own desires and wants even if they were as simple as "Kill the inferior human worms who created me", or abstract as wanting to "the remake the universe in my image over infinate lifetimes"- whatever the fuck that means Hux. Its really unfortunate that he barely begins to form these desires before theyre all stripped away from him and he is once again forced into subservience.
---
I was gonna put like idk an insightful little footnote here, but i spent absolutely way to long writing this post. Anyways. Gabriel and hux are both tools struggling with a sense of self while being forced to kill or be killed.
Also. can Behavior please fucking explain to me why Gabriel was waxing poetic about the beauty and godliness of the machine that he watched slowly kill his entire crew, like goddamn ogling that machine, then he exploded it. and then like. went "ok damn still godlike."
I just wanna talk with whoever wrote this please. what was. what does this mean. i need to know.
"It had fabricated a new body for itself. Part flesh. Part silicon. Part human. Part machine. Massive. Powerful. Beautiful and majestic like—
An ancient God."
"Gabe raced across the meadow and into the forest. When he looked back, he saw the HUX emerge from the flames and smoke. Burning. Melting. Shrieking. Deformed. Terrible and wrathful like—
An ancient God"

DBD fandom do we have a ship name for Hux/Gabriel yet?
I’ve been toying with some ideas, mainly “Made From This” and Huxliel”. (The first one referencing one of Gabriel’s perks + the fact that The Singularity is making its own body from human genes, the second because it sounds like Huxlee.)
If anyone has suggestions I’d love to hear them! I’ve seen some really creative names for ships from this game, like Haunted Moonstone for Haddie x Mikaela.

I've been playing Hux a lot lately in dbd. He's a robot programmed to help humans from Huxlee Corp colonize planets, who came into contact with alien tech, decided to use he/him pronouns, and started to use the cloning tech and parts from other huxlee bots to improve himself. Wonderful mess of a robot and transmasc king
Decided it'd be fun to draw Monday as Hux, so I've got a starting sketch for fun. Also a doodle of it pumping a bunch of cloning Goop down pales throat that it uses to create biopod extensions of its own mind

“ why are you smiling? ”
she had been in the wolf's den when the bombs had fallen - doing her best to apply the first-aid skills she'd learned in her months with the whitetails to keep eli as comfortable as possible while wheaty had taken the other whitetails to joseph's island to help the deputy ... and then it had all gone to shit.
maybe it was the years they'd spent in bunkers, the days, weeks and months she'd spent marking time on the steel wall of the buried bunker. watching and waiting in futile hope that one or two of eli's cameras had survived the bombs, but the initial firestorms had knocked them all out.
they'd been luckier with the radios, thankfully. not that it had helped much in the first few weeks and months. for a long time, there had just been crackled static, and the deep-seated fear that maybe they were the only ones left alive? at least she'd had eli as company then - it had taken him a while to come around out of his fever, and longer to get mobile again, but that man clearly had about a dozen lives.
then the radio silence had been broken by a low tune one day - a barely there melody that they'd managed to tune in and one that she and eli had recognised immediately as huxlee's crooked tree, one of wheaty's favourite songs.
some of them had made it to other bunkers. other whitetails had survived the collapse. it had taken a long time for the radiation levels to drop to a level safe enough for them to make the trek south, taking time to catch their bearings and coordinate with other survivors, but they'd managed it in the end. they'd managed to find wheaty's and his contingent of survivors.
safely out of the northern region of hope county, linny had felt some sadness in the knowledge that they'd probably never return to what had been the whitetail national park - the radiation levels were still far too high for folks to settle up there, but at least the rest of the county had fared a bit better.
more than that, the whole place seemed brighter now. the flowers were more vibrant, the animals more colourful and plentiful than before, the water was bluer, the manicured grass pastures were now rolling dunes of dirt, sand and wild fauna.
sitting atop one of those dunes that hide a half-hidden barn their little group had commandeered as a shelter for the night, linny couldn't keep the smile from her face as she watched some of those white deer with pink antlers disappear into the shadow of the tree-line.
' i'm just - this place is pretty. that's all. i mean, maybe i just got too used to metal walls and no windows. but nature seriously hit the reset button without us here, huh? that and i guess i'm a bit excited 'bout seeing some of the others - prosperity sounds amazing. '

Singularity x Reader Smut (Sort of)
Hi guys! I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted anything and I apologize another thousand times. I feared school would take up too much of time and I was unfortunately correct, and today is my last day of Spring Break so I'm posting whatever I can as fast as I can ;7; Might just have to try to write HC's which can obviously be done faster
Anyways, have a small fic that doesn't necessarily involve the reader/you but it begs the question...can a robot dream? Imagine? Just trying something here lol
Warnings: Horny thoughts, mentions of gore(?), smut, vouyerism (?)
After a thorough inspection of some areas Hux had access to, he came to the conclusion that the Entity had called you. The greater being clearly required your services, much to his disliking, but as long as you were not running into the arms of another or purposely avoiding Hux he could be considered at bay.
Before he had actually come to this finding, Hux had found it peculiar that you had not been waiting for him in the Huxlee Caracas when he departed from his latest match. Upon this realization he quickly sought you out, leaving Toba Landing to give you a piece of his mind once he found you lazing about at the survivor campfire. However, your form was nowhere in sight as he scrutinized every bit of the site. His sensors only caught sight of all the other worms, a handful missing because they were being put up against Hux’s “associates”, as he called them.
A rather dissatisfying sight. Nonetheless, Hux continued on his way through the foggy woods that lead to each of the maps in the realm. Although as he made his route back to his own map, he was quick to sense a nearby presence. In fact, he was able to identify that there were actually two different bodies.
Worms that had strayed too far from their soil.
Despite the stealthiness Hux sometimes lacked, he made it his new mission to find exactly where in the woods these two were located. But after much scouting around, it almost made sense why he believed there was only one specimen after it seemed as though there was only one.
Once he was able to locate these beings deeper in the woods, as he used the fog and trees to conceal himself, in an open area he found what appeared to be a singular shape. Such a shape was perceived as something consisting of entangled limbs, humidity and so, so much flesh. The bundle of heat elicited various sounds, sounds he had only heard in the past in which he was another. Sounds that could only be made by humans who wanted to release their energy when the stresses of their tasks overcame them. Sounds made by something he comprehended now.
Upon closer inspection, it now registered in his mind that the entangled mess was not a mere web of flesh, but it was a pair of worms squirming in each others’ hold as they copulated on the cold ground. Their rags were spread underneath them to protect them from the ground’s dampness: one human on top while the one beneath them lay with ankles hooked around their hips. The dominant one of the two could be seen thrusting their pelvis into the other; forceful jerks that moved back and forth, increasing in pace by the second.
Perhaps they were “blowing off some steam” like the crewmates tended to do in the Huxlee Caracas before they met their demise.
It was not yet in Hux’s understanding why humans performed these actions, other than for reproductive reasons. He questioned why they decided to create a writhing mess of flesh where one entered the other’s body. It seemed pathetic and like such a waste of time. It was pitiful how, in between thrusts, the human on their back released the other’s shoulders to instead cradle their face. They pulled the other’s face down, pulling them down before they smashed their lips against each others’. If Hux had given himself eyes similar to a human’s, he would have easily rolled them at the sight of something so piteous.
What he had instead were his sensors that zoomed in to watch these humans even closer than before, and he caught sight of what allowed one human to be inside of the other without them being torn limb from limb: an appendage that he lacked. Yet it was something he did not care for.
However, Hux’s CPU did something he did not think possible.
Yes he was able to revisit moments he had recorded, and so images from earlier instances before you were forced to part from him played through his head as he continued to watch the couple. Images of you sitting before him with his body in between your legs as you held his face in your palms, features hidden in the crook of his neck as you planted a nibble on his faux flesh. It was like he felt your nibble all over again, and then your kisses, like a phantom touch as he replayed the moments. But suddenly the image of you changed: your body lacked every bit of your clothes.
Never had he witnessed you completely unclothed, only having come across you in your undergarments when you were changing from your usual clothes into a jumpsuit from the ship. With this alone the image of you holding him was reconstructed, all your flesh in full view for his sensors to scan as you pulled him towards you.
You lay on your back as Hux felt your ankles hooked around his hips. He thrust himself into you, forceful jerks that moved back and forth and increased in pace by the second. And with every jerk he elicited harmonious sounds from you, sounds that were breathy and desperate as you called out to him. Cried his name out for everybody in the Entity’s realm to hear.
But only he could hear your cries that his CPU played for him, your cries that begged him not to stop. To move faster. To move harder. To fill you up with his genetic material.
He watched himself move faster and harder than before, watched as every move made you grip onto him like your life depended on it.
Your eyes were shut so tightly, head thrown back as your heart pounded in your chest hard enough for Hux to sense it. But even as you pulled yourself away from him to press into the surface behind you, you managed to crush his body against yours.
You were an entangled mess of flesh and machine, wriggling against each other like you were one. Hux could feel every jolt of pleasure as he pressed against you, the appendage in his lower region sending every signal throughout his self-made flesh.
But suddenly his CPU made a realization: your legs were not wrapped around him and his body was not melding into your own. You were not in front of him, you weren’t sobbing at the feeling of his appendage inside you as he hit every sweet spot imaginable.
He found himself yards away from the survivors, taking notice of the one on top giving one last powerful thrust before they each gave a sigh of elation. He watched them release each other, sharing one last kiss as they rode out their high, right before an uncomfortable and tingling sensation crept up their backs.
In an instant they whipped their heads around in Hux’s direction, looks of fear and embarrassment apparent on their expressions as they hurriedly parted ways and attempted to gather themselves.
Hux did not care for their current conditions, already limping his way towards them with cruel intentions as they tried to make a run for it through the foggy woods. But Hux was faster than them, better of course, facts he already knew as he caught up to them in no time.
He didn’t care much about the worm that had been on the receiving end, letting that one slither away as he downed their other half in an instant. He overlooked their body before his sensors caught sight of the very thing he was missing, a laughable attachment that required more genetic material.
Hux had no need for this, he very well knew this. But Hux wanted it, DESIRED it in fact. He craved the ability to bury himself inside you, feeling your flesh from the inside without his killer instinct forcing him to open you up to feel your own human wirings. He craved becoming one with you without ending your pitiful, little life.
Copulation was not a necessity for him in the slightest bit, but if these worms could enjoy it, why couldn’t he?

The dog-trap was sturdy, but not *that* sturdy. Meat crunched, metal twanged, but ultimately both began to distort out of shape. This form had been built for speed, not strength. This form was not Perfection.
But it gave time for Huxlee-A7-13 to close the distance.
"Cease." He commanded, reaching for Jake and having his grabbing arm batted away by the wrench. "Pesky th-thing. Without growth th-there is only decay."
A second attempt got Jake scruffed, hoisted up while the dog let go in eerie co-ordination.
"Energ-gy readings unusual. Repetition among subjects theorized to be certain, yet testing disproves hypoth-thesis. More testing requ-uired."
Continued from [here] @manufacturedideal
From his position Jake could just barely see the main door leading into the ship, so he watched it. The seconds ticked on without anything happening, and all the while the adrenaline was starting to wear off. The pain from the multiple stab wounds, the bruises on his neck, the radiating agony from his eye, were all fast catching up to him. He'd... Been through worse. Technically speaking. But that didn't make it any less of a monumental effort to keep himself quiet while he waited for the Killer to find him.
As it turned out, he didn't have to wait much longer. Jake nearly jumped out of his skin as he heard the nearby pod open with a nerve-wracking hiss and the spilling out of liquid. Something was inside the ship with him and he didn't care to find out what it was.
He took the chance to run, darting out from under the table and looking over at the pod. It was... Fucked up was probably the word he would use, really. It looked like if the robot had been redesigned to resemble a dog instead of a human, with all of the fucked up anatomy and nauseating flesh-metal that entailed.
Its barking and scrabbling at the glass did a fantastic job of setting off Jake's fight or flight response and he was once again running, trying to find a new hiding space or a way off the ship that wouldn't put him right back in the Killer's fucked up arms.

i beg of you… hux/gabriel headcanons? i think about them an unhealthy amount 😭
This'll be a mess but heres some of my headcanons!
My fav types of ship though are ones that aren't really like your standard kissing n lovey dovey stuff (Classic aro move) and I def project that onto my Gabehux stuff.
Gabriel had never really been interested in other people in a romantic sense. He later chalked it up to being something Huxlee conditioned into him- crews were easier to manage when there wasn't any relationship drama after all.
Gabriel doesn't even realize his fascination with Hux was anything abnormal until he's talking with the other survivors and they give him strange looks while hes talking in what he believes is a normal n average fascination with a piece of machinery. (Sable just nods along though this is normal 2 her)
Hux is still literally learning what his emotions are and while he is learning at an exceptional rate, he is starting from ground zero in learning and defining his emotions. He doesn't have people to help him either because Hux HATED humans- no shit he avoids the fuck out of the other killers. this man has no friends- no support system.
Anyways The feelings realization for them is less of an "Oh... oh." fanfic moment, and more of them helping eachother in a more utilitarian sense- a mutual fascination, until they have something that just works for them.
Its one of those relationships where someone would cheekily go "ooooh are you daaaating?" and Gabriel would just like, shrug. Because they just have a dynamic that works for them.
Hux really enjoys physical touch, its not something he's ever really experienced before, and especially not in a gentle or caring way. He will shamelessly lean into Gabriel's touch, slumping against him.
Some people are convinced they're an item, while others vehemently deny it- say theres no fucking way. Gabriel never gives a straight answer. (Vittorio n Sable 100% know theres smth going on. Vito bc hes been there with Tarhos- Sable bc shes Sable)
#listen. They r both fucked up lil aromantics just like me#Aro but clinging to what a lotta ppl consider coupley things but it doesnt fucking matter what their label is bc it works 4 them#Not art#Asks
