Notes: Thank you for the request! Erwin is top tier husband, and hope I did him proud!! ^^ 

One thing that Erwin would ALWAYS do is carry you bridal style

Whether you were hurt, or you weren’t 

He would do it randomly whenever deemed appropriate 

The reason as to why was because on your wedding night, when getting ready to head to the reception, your heel broke 

You almost fell face first until he caught you 

That being the case, Erwin did what he does best 

Saved the day, and charmed you in the best way!

He’d continuously bring it up to you, making you flush each time he did 

“Erwin!” 

“Haha, you know I adore the glimpse of your grin” 

Teasing you, and seeing you smile was a great joy to him

That’s because it meant he was doing his job

Keeping you happy, and loving you the best he could

Erwin had always been reluctant to convey personal feelings (because he was commander) 

So when you both got married, both you and him made sure to be very open about communication 

Even when you were the slightest bit upset, he would ask as to why, and would try his best to understand 

“What’s wrong? You can tell me, you know I’ll listen.” 

That being the case, he would always comfort you with something 

Whether that be a gift, his reassurance, or attention in general 

“Things will be okay…” 

He always did his best to please you, and vice versa 

You always made sure to ask him how he felt when on edge 

“Erwin...are you okay?” 

Though at times he would be hesitant, he would respond and express how he felt 

However, if no words were exchanged, that meant something horrendous happened 

And that being the case, rather than trying to give him words yourself, you instead held him as he’d lay in your embrace 

He loved your scent (hints of lavender) since it comfort him so much

And he’d hold you tight during the midst of his confliction for as long as he could

Another thing he loved was your cooking! 

Before you both got married, he’d only have a meal from you every now and then 

But being that you both now lived with each other, you made sure to feed your commander the best 

Making each meal special (never knowing if it would be your last…) 

(Sorry...that got dark ;-;) 

Erwin would occasionally help as well 

He’s the type of person who would do great when reading directions, but when actually diving in...would struggle quite a bit 

He wasn’t born a natural cook 

So you always had to help him when he tried

He did, however, successfully make green pasta once! (something you weren’t expecting)

Aside from reading instructions, he’d also read you stories

Though childish, it was something you both enjoyed 

He loved feeling you snuggle beside him, as he told you tales that he enjoyed

“So he then walked through the forest looking amongst the leaves...” 

Erwin always stared so intently at the pages, so much passion being poured throughout his reading 

Not only that, but if related, he would also tell you about his childhood memories

He wanted to make sure he could share both the best, and worst with you

Making sure you knew him both in and out 

You adored some, and felt sorrowful towards others 

But even that being the case, seeing how much your husband had grown from such experiences, put you in awe 

But what put him in awe, was you in general

The beauty such a heart could withhold, was astonishing to his eyes 

Even though you both had been married, and with each other for a long time, he’d always love you no matter how much time had passed by 

“Love” was too little of a word to express how much affection he had for you 

Admiration, respect, he could go on and on about you

Even if it would take him entire decades 

This man loved you so much, and would make sure to convey it to you with a simple 

“You know Y/n...you’re my world, my sun, my moon, and my stars. I love you so much...and nothing will ever drive us apart.”
