To me Hunter from TOH, c!Tommy from the Dsmp and Cross from the Utmv are the same genre of character.

Which is 'that one tortured guy who does too much and gets to learn what it's like to be taken care of through found family'. And I eat it up every time. It's my favorite genre of character, it's just so good and satisfying.

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

hxh taught me a lot about what it truly means to have experience in your area of expertise.

Kraven the Hunter was actually pretty good when it was about toxic masculinity and reclaiming hunting and the fallout of someone cutting off their toxic family and how Dima still desperately wants his father’s respect even though that man has been nothing but dismissive of him but then the movie decided to be about the FUCKING RHINO

AHH OKAY one of my random hcs is that hunter's smile is kinda asymmetrical/lopsided/wider on the left side cuz of his scars, especially after thanks to them. i imagine they'd significantly pull on his skin and could even affect nerves and definitely some range of motion, so-
