The history of Nagyharsány Sculpture Park dates back to 1967. Then was formulated the idea of ​​creating a sculpting studio in the former quarry of Szársomlyó. The following year, the artists established a permanent summer art camp in the nearby Gyimóthy villa. - The cultural-historical and art historical significance of the Sculpture Park of Nagyharsány lies in the fact that it was here where sculptors had an opportunity to experiment for the first time in Hungary freely. About 200 artists have worked here in the years since the foundation. - Most of the artist's sculptures in the park are made from grey limestone in Nagyharsány and Beremend.
