He moved to NY just for Alexa and when asked about it in an interview where the interviewer said pretty much this (you only know her there, it's quite something to leave everything behind to follow a girl, etc), he basically replied that he hadn't even thought about it, and that he was just happy she asked him to come with her, and that it was his privilege to do so//

I hate to ruin this narrative but the Arctic Monkeys started recording Humbug in NY/Mojave Desert (with Josh Homme) during spring 2009, when Alex/Alexa's relocation happened. Do you think the album's recording was a last minute's decision?
