⊗ superhero cartoons to watch when little!!! (or big, they're that good imo!!) ⊗
✧.* i've been wanting to make this list for a while now, mainly because i wanna talk about my fav cartoons/open up opportunities for other littles to find something awesome to watch!!! there's gonna be a lot of ranges in age ratings to add some variety for older/younger littles :)
✧.* also, i'd like to put a disclaimer here and say that a lot of these are on streaming services that i own, but other littles may not. i would also like to say that there are ways to get around a paywall if you can't afford certain streaming services!!! you can find full episodes on youtube/other sites for free!!! (just use an adblocker if you're on a site other than youtube if u can!!)
✧.* another disclaimer: any regressor of any age can watch any of these shows!! i just wanted to put the age ratings for those who want to stick to media that's more in their age range!! so, don't feel like you have to limit yourself from watching certain shows just because of how old you regress to!!
✧.* spectacular spider-man (2008-2009, 2 seasons): suitable for 7-8+, but i'd say it'd be okay for littles who regress younger to watch, too!! honestly, my all-time favorite spider-man cartoon!!! not only is it fun to watch while little, you can truly appreciate the show when you're big, too!!! josh keaton's voicework as spider-man is just- ahhhh it's so amazing imo!! the story is really good, the animation/style is just so iconic, and the colors are very easy on the eyes!!! (especially if you're sensitive to bright colors when little/in general) absolute banger of a theme song, too!!!
✧.* x-men: the animated series (1992-1997, 5 seasons): rated for around 7-8+, but i do admit that there can be some scary scenes for especially younger/more sensitive littles. honestly, this show is great!!! i loved all the different story arcs, how colorful the show is, the characters themselves- a lot of cool stuff about this show!!! be warned, there's a sudden drop in quality during season 5... i think they switched animation studios/va's or something because season 5 is NOT the best season of the show, i'll tell you that... 0_0
✧.* x-men '97 (2024-present, 1 season so far): rated for 14+, so this show is more suitable for teen regressors. it's a continuation of x-men:tas, and oh man... this is it. my favorite cartoon of all time!!! the animation is just oh so beautiful!!! the fight scenes are awesome!!! the soundtrack- oh golly the soundtrack!!! the remastered x-men:tas opening is just- wow!!! but, there's definitely reasons why it's rated 14+... not gonna spoil anything, but there's a lot of scenes in the show that can be upsetting for younger littles. trust me, watching some scenes when you're little is just- too much sometimes... (speaking from experience) it's an amazing show, but watch at ur own risk if you're a younger regressor!!!
✧.* batman: the animated series (1992-1995, 4 seasons): i'd say it's for around ages 9-10+, since it can be fairly dark at times. (same goes for a lot of batman related media!!) honestly, this show's pretty good!!! the style of the show is very dark visually, so it's easy on the eyes for those with bright color sensitivities!!! the artstyle itself is also very nice to look at!!! the voicework is amazing as well, especially kevin conroy's (rip) performance as batman himself!!! from what i can remember, the plotpoints were also pretty on-par!! i remember liking the show a lot when i was a kid!! :)
✧.* hulk vs. wolverine (not a show but an animated movie, 2009): this one's rated pg-13, since there's depictions of violence. but, i gotta say- this movie had me hyped up when i watched it as a kid!!! this was part of a straight to video two-movie collection, (the other being "hulk vs. thor") and i gotta say... this movie was awesome!!! the fight scenes were rad as heck, the animation was amazing, even deadpool was in the movie!!! (which, fun fact, was his first appearance in animation!!! other than the 2 second cameo in x-men:tas) very fun movie!!!
✧.* these are just some recommendations!!! i really liked these when i was a kid, and i hope you'll like them too, if you decide to watch them!!!
✧.* (also yay!! finally have a new banner!!! + i updated my blog's theme because nightcrawler is so awesome and he's literally my cg guys!!! he said it himself :3)

Hulk Vs Wolverine (2009)
To those Wolverine and Deadpool fans I really suggest you check this out. Yes the main characters are Hulk and Wolverine. And Deadpool is a side character. This movie has some good moments for him. And ending itself is a hilarious! And not often you get to see Wolverine fight Deadpool in an animated movie.
It also shows why the Hulk hates Wolverine. Based off a comic that happened before Wolverine joined the X-men.

THIS Creed has always been one of my favourites, along with the Creed adaptation from the wolverine's revenge video game. THIS Creed had the potential to be sinister as fuck if needed. From the voice to the moment he gets ALL up in half naked Logan's space (I think about that moment a lot.) he was magnificent.
Sinister Creed is best Creed.

I'm thinking back to this one animated movie that was called Hulk VS. and I loved the Hulk VS Wolverine section of that movie as a kid, loved it. But thinking back on it, it was quite dark for my age at the time, like, really dark, but the Logan obsession was strong with this one to care about anything else.

The Hulk v/s Wolverine: My Pitch
Tumblr media
Marvel Studios is apparently working on a Hulk v. Wolverine film, and I think there is already a blueprint set for it. Since the MCU has now gotten comfortable with its R-rated films, Hulk v. Wolverine should be able to delve into some darker themes and ideas that were perhaps previously not possible.
My first thought was to think about the film in terms of Alien v. Predator, with The Hulk being our Xenomorph and Logan being the Predator.
Tumblr media
The idea would be to have someone like Thunderbolt Ross be the focus of the film, who pits a newly discovered Wolverine against an awol Hulk. This would be an alternate timeline, as has been the case for quite a few MCU films, where Edward Norton would be the Hulk. Norton famously wanted a darker take on the Hulk which Marvel was not on board with, but that could be accommodated in a film like Hulk v. Wolverine.
This got me thinking about why either of these character would go up against the other, given that even if this was an alternate timeline, this would be the first time the audience sees them meet up. Establishing their unique history to have audiences care for the fight felt too odd for a film that had the Wolverine and the Hulk fighting in it. Then it hit me. There was another perfect blueprint for the film: Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man
Tumblr media
The film specifically revolves around a character who is fed up with his immortality and is finding a way to off himself. My initial thought was this: An alternate timeline where the X-Men exist in the initial phases of the MCU. Phase 1 has the X-Men but from their later years. So essentially, Logan dies as The Incredible Hulk is closing out.
Thunderbolt Ross is down, but not out. Logan, however, returns to life, haunted by the memories of some horrible things that he did (perhaps a more honest adaptation of Old Man Logan's opening). This causes the character to be in a self-loathing state, ready to put himself in any situation that takes him out for good.
Ross finds him and recruits him to fight The Hulk. Logan, seeing all the damage the character can do, is happy to go after him, knowing for sure that this might be his best bet at peace.
Tumblr media
Maybe Logan is even given a team to help him out, which could include characters like Sabertooth (who could be masterminding the whole situation). I also considered Laura to be a part of this time, which gives Logan pause for thought about the Hulk missions being his last.
Some light tracking happens, they find Banner, and he is ready to return. However, thanks to whoever the antagonist is, probably someone like The Leader, enrages Banner and unleashes the Hulk.
This has to be done by a director who can do long extended fantasy action fights. Broly vs Vegeta from Dragon Ball Super: Broly is totally something I would take inspiration from for this.
Tumblr media
Have Logan and Banner face-off, but have Banner be sedated by whoever is with Logan. This not only enrages him, but it takes his one chance away at finding peace. This leads to a confrontation where Logan decides he doesn't want to be part of the mission anymore.
Here, is where we find Logan embroiled with whoever is pulling the strings. They unleashed the Hulk because they too want Logan dead. Why? So that they can endanger Logan's brood, who are increasingly the strongest breed of mutants. Perhaps this could be the Orphans of X. They wish to wipe out Laura, Akihiro, Sabertooth, and James...and they have found a way to manipulate the government (perhaps through some contact like Trask).
Either way, Logan realizes he has left Laura unguarded. He tracks them to see the Hulk engaging Laura in a fight, and the kid holding her own pretty well. Logan enters the fight and apologizes. and works towards taking Banner out. However, The Hulk refuses to turn back into Banner, somehow revealing that Banner is sick and dying (perhaps thanks to the sleeping agent they put on him). This was to keep Banner in Hulk form, such that his vitals and other bio matter could be harvested.
The Orphans of X see Wolverine/X-23 and the Hulk fight to a standstill, forcing the latter to transform into a dying Banner. However, Thunderbolt Ross comes to their rescue as Red Hulk, ready to finish the mission. Wolverine and Laura refuse to hand him over to Ross. Red Hulk vs Wolverine ensues. Laura works towards finding a cure for Bruce. The Hulk comes out, asks Laura to find a cure, and enters the fight.
The Hulk and Wolverine fight Red Hulj and defeat him, with Ross's superiors calling the fight off by calling the entire mission his personal vendetta. However, as Ross is taken away. Hulk says that there is no cure found. Laura finds nothing either. The Hulk says he is going to have to stay out of trouble to keep Banner alive. Logan and Laura ask if their healing factor will help. It will. They go to Rick Jones, who whips out the cure and administers it to Bruce. However, the Orphans of X get the radical idea of fusing the Wolverine and The Hulk, setting up Weapon H.
Tumblr media
Now of course, this pitch is all over the place, but I think there is some merit in approaching this story as a standard Monster Rally flick rather than a superhero film. This is a Marvel film after all, so there will be a lot of jokes and quips, but I think setting this up with a familiar version of the characters in a separate universe might be the way to go. Edward Norton's Hulk and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine would be great.
However, the pitch that I have made is not for mainstream audiences. Marvel does that better than anybody in the game.

For anybody who hasn’t seen the Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Side of Dimensions movie, may I spoil a scene where we actually have Kaiba’s guards show their guns, like in the Japanese dubbed anime series. So I’m happy I get to see that in English Dub. Ha ha.
