it’s canon that boothill knows ALOT about the aeons from his travels. dan heng, who LOVES collecting information (i mean, just look at the archives!) would love nothing more than to discuss about it <3 they spend hours at a time just talking & talking about the aeons & their paths. & dan heng, who usually doesn’t say much, becomes a yapper around boothill

in general, he’s a yapper around boothill—he just doesn’t even realize it! the cowboy brings out a side of him he never thought he had the energy to have. but with boothill by his side, he ends up engaging in conversations a lot more than he’s used to. he doesn’t realize how much he’s yapping until march 7th points it out when he was giving short worded replies to her photos (she’s shown the photos 5 times by now/lh)

he DEEPLY admires boothill. he doesn’t say it ofc because dan heng isn’t the type to explicitly state his love for other people but his actions speaks volumes. if you check the description of the galaxy rangers… it portrays the group in a huge positive light in contrast to other organizations

another user discussed this already but one of the reasons why dan heng admires the cowboy so much is that he views him as a hero that would save others when no one else was. considering dan heng’s first moments was literally spending time in a jail cell for a crime he himself didn’t do… i can’t not imagine him yearning for a hero that would save him from his imprisonment. & if boothill becomes someone that fits that mold (or the mold fits him) well…

if boothill ever revealed the reason why he’s hunting down the ipc (killed his planet, genocided his people, MURDERED his ~1 year old daughter) i firmly believe dan heng would be down to destroy the organization. maybe not the same way (as his voice line says, he is NOT interested in combat) but definitely destroy them from the inside out. the way aventurine would (by being part—or in dan heng’s case, partnering—with the organization

My brain has been full of Dan Heng dynamics lately. Dan Heng is running out of hands for all these men he's pulling.

He's got a traumatic kill or be killed situationship with his past life's ex husband

He's got a general who was crushing on his last life now re-meeting and re-crushing anew on him

He's got some guy (or gal) he picked up off the ground on the space station with a bomb in his chest who keeps bringing him literal trash and stealing books and burrowing into his heart

And now he's got a depressed cyborg cowboy criminal with a swearing problem on that ride or die attitude for him and trying to ride him about it now that they've gotten past the classic held at gunpoint greeting.

Unmatched rizz, and he asked for none of it.

i can’t stop thinking about poor dan heng getting dragged onto the weirdest first date with a cyborg cowboy. boothill actually pulled a gun on him at first glance and proceeded to make dan heng prove he was a nameless, while they were on the express. then took dan heng to penacony pretending to be pom pom of all beings and took him to a bar because some person boothill never met said they’d leave a signal for them there. getting jumpscared by the doomed yuri love. just. god. what a wild ride. when’s their wedding.

i know it was in the dream but i desperately need boothill and black swan travelling with the astral express real PLEASE.

i want boothill to share a room with dan heng. yes its the archives. i need them to share dan hengs futon. i need boothill to steal their one shared blanket despite probably being incapable of feeling cold. i want dan heng to cuddle up to boothill bc hes cold before realizing thats a terrible idea bc his body is literally cold hard metal but keeps cuddling him anyway. he wraps boothill into a blanket burrito and hugs that so its soft and fluffy and they cuddle through the night.

please please please does anyone else see my vision of bootheng in one of those incredibly generic Hallmark Christmas movies where the hard worker goes to a small town and then falls in love and stays forever or something. Dan Heng the office worker who goes to some countryside town and meets Boothill who is from said small town and its cringe but in the best possible way

Dan Heng: "Okay, no. Conversation can wait, you smell like gunpowder and blood, go take a bath."

Boothill: "A bath?"

Dan Heng: "Yes, a shower isn't enough, you need a bath. When's the last time you had one anyway?"

Boothill, counting on his fingers: "Uhhhhhhhh... four.. five? Five."

Dan Heng, apprehensively: "Five what? Hours?"

Boothill: "..."

Dan Heng: "DAYS?"

Boothill: "..........years."

Dan Heng, visibly shaking: "YEARS?!"

Boothill: "Hey, don't give me that! Look at me, this fudging body wasn't exactly made for baths, okay? I usually just put myself through the car wash."

Dan Heng takes him apart and sanitizes each individual component that he can, oils joints, dusts the delicate electrical bits with an air compressor, and Boothill is just laying there like:

"I gotta be honest with ya, partner, this isn't quite how I wanted you inside me, but this sure is forking nice."

(Dan Heng immediately takes his voice box out in embarrassment.)
