Do you think Harry's team didn't foresee him getting queerbaiting accusations? Did they really think he would be untouchable forever? That he wouldn't get any backlash from pushing a straight and gay image? Did they just bury their heads in the sand or do they just not care because it keeps people talking about him? The queerbaiting backlash has been brewing for a while, probably since HS1 when he talked about not wanting to label himself. Then HS2 and the vogue photoshoot it picked up more and then HS3 people had enough. The 3rd interview with him being ambiguous about his sexuality and it was getting repetitive. Do you think it was all planned out, that they didn't mind the backlash because it made him more famous?

I don't think the conservative old big wigs that planned all this out thought that the queer community would find their voice and become opinion leaders. I also don't think they expected #metoo and cancel culture. So no, i don't think they saw the queerbaiting accusations coming, and if they did, i don't think they knew how prevelant and how reputation damaging it would be for H. We still don't know if it really is that damaging when it comes to the bottom line, but it is creating a chasm between H and his community.

Since H did address the queerbaiting accusations, i think either the big wigs or H himself actually cares about it. They weren't successful in stopping it, they exacerbaited it which i don't think was the intention. Going forward, either they'll ignore it and see what happens, or they'll have to address it again in a way that put the accusations to rest. They can't afford to fumble again.

I can't quite figure out what purpose Jeff actually serves. Harry is his only client. They've a curious closeness, yet Jeff is married. Maybe that's the deal: in order to have Styles, Irving mandated a male heir. Idk. In regard to hs1's misguided rock vibe, that was all Harry's doing. The "leaked" music from that era are sad wannabe rock anthems: "Complicated Freak", "Hunger", "Talk", "Trouble" and the vexing "Medicine". It was also Harry's decision to use songs leftover from the hs2 sessions on hs3 which is imo the reason for its success. Rolling Stone have tried to christen others as the new king of pop, while Usher, Justin T, Chris B, Justin B, and Bruno all wisely and publicly disowned the title, Harry embraces it. Jeff had nothing to do with the rash #hahaha photoshoot or Harry's decision to turn in atrocious acting performances or Lambert's bozo choice of stage garb. Jeff's managerial style seems reminiscent of a hapless guy who just can't say no to the whims of a toxic woman. It's the hazard of blurring the line between business and friendship. And probably not what Irving intended when he dispatched Jeff to Toronto ten years ago

Also, how many other clients does Jeff actually handle on his own? Who else does Irving and Brandon let Jeff experiment with?//

I wish people would understand that Jeff is a moron. HS1 did how it did because of him, because he’s a mouth breathing idiot. The only reason he’s in the position he is, is because of his father. The only reason he’s “taken seriously” and seen as a “good manager” is because of his last name. And he walks around with that dumb look on his face because he doesn’t know what he’s doing because he’s not actually doing anything. At this point he’s just playing pretend manager while the people who know what they’re doing are working behind the scenes. Which is why hs2 and hs3 were as successful as they are. If they handed him the reins he’d drive Harry’s career into the ground by the end of the week. Which makes me think that rolling stone king of pop mess was something his dumbass had a hand in and had the entirety of twitter dragging his client for a week. Anybody with half a brain would’ve known to never use that title for their client or to at least not have it published in fucking rolling stone like that stupidity just screams Jeff to me.
