- Spending ten years of his life (by the time the game closed) trying to destroy the Penguin Secret Agency and Elite Penguin Force (both were agencies that protected the island from disasters and villains like Herbert) with varying success...

- SUCCESSFULLY destroyed the Penguin Secret Agency with a popcorn bomb, which destroyed their HQ. It should also be noted that while doing so, he locked in the player, Rookie, and Gary the Gadget Guy, presumably so the bombs explosion would have killed them all.

-Teamed up with the EPF to stop the Ultimate Protobot 10,000 and the Test Bots, a small group of four dangerous robots after he personally brought them back. When Protobot went "too far" for Herbert's standards by threatening the environment and trying to completely destroy the EPF (despite the aforementioned Popcorn Bomb incident literally destroying the PSA, and also a certain Operation: Blackout), causing him to temporarily switch sides. This might sound like a character growth moment...except for the fact that he immediately betrays them once Protobot is dealt with and attacks and damages the EPF's HQ using a robot hydra made for the Medieval Party that he stole.

- A canonical ex-dictator. Don't believe me? Look up Operation: Blackout on the Club Penguin Wiki! He froze several agents during his reign of terror, was open to freezing innocent civilians, and also wanted to do away with puffles- the pets of penguins. He also banned several hobbies and professions during his reign (being a Ninja, a DJ, a Pirate, etc) for no reason other than disliking them. He also destroyed the EPF'S HQ and exposed two agents' private information to the public. This means Herbert is the first and only character to canonically dox people he doesn't like on Club Penguin.

-Was planning to bomb the EPF literally two months later with a hot sauce bomb (makes sense in context of the game and yes, it is more destructive than it sounds).

-Brainwashed puffles into digging coins for him purely because his henchman, Klutzy the crab brought a coin slot to use for his DIY heater, instead of just removing the coin slot and retooling it to work without one like a normal person."

I like how relaxed the atmosphere was like this definitely isn't the first time something like this has happened, well I mean after all they are Professional Co-workers who do not fight 24/7 (they get into an argument immediately after)

When they break eye contact to turn towards Hoshiguma they basically don't meet each other's gazes again as they take turns to glare at each other its insane... Also Swire saying she should take over and Chen needs treatment... Chen you understand what that means right...

Another detail I love is how at the start they already show her battered jacket/clothes for us gamers to point at the screen and then later who those who don't know/didn't notice we have a whole close up of chen reacting to it...man.jpg And swire leaving right away once she knows chen is fine (and one of her good points. lol. lmao) you guys are sure so quick

their earlier argument was so explosive and quick, but now their banter is so tender and slow like bruh. what. even the act of chen putting down her sword to sit down in a comfortable position (loved that she sat like that One leg sitters rise up!!!) was so ??? the normally yolo speedrunner chen being so leisurely like damn. ok. ok. From 'you think you can order me around' to basically agreeing to an order (Londinium cannon vine boom) I thought Chen being this warm was more or less a delusion that I inferred through in game as subtext (since in game her expression then is usually like her default rbf face...) and seeing it here as 'text' in the show is like 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 holy shit can't believe i got FED after four years incidentally i've been obsessed with a certain CN writer's fics lately because the way they write chen like a sad wet dog while showing warmth is crazyyy maybe i will blog about it next time because i was legit taking notes lmao

📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story?

Shanks — as of rn i dont influence the story tbh...... we'll have to re-address this in a decade when we get more red-haired pirates and after shanks dies KJHSDFJKHB but for now im just kinda lingering whenever theres rhp moments. my first appearance is the luffy wanted poster scene and i make a lil comment to mihawk (smthn like "always lovely to see you hawk-eyes" yk ambiguous enough), then im in the bg during the bit where rockstar calls shanks, im missing during marineford and then i show up during whitebeard/ace's funeral and im consistently w the red-haired pirates from then on. during the wano bit i finally get another line agreeing w lime juice after he mentions barto, then a passing goodbye to marco. im shown towards the side of the bar scene in elbaf reading a book and then im in the big wide-shot as theyre approaching the red force; the one "big" change is that im the one who hands the info on kidd off to shanks (bc that is Technically my official job as communications officer) and hongo and i have a tiny exchange. oda also talks abt me a bit in an sbs, he says im the only officer who hasnt met luffy and mentions im from a new world island, n says i joined the crew five yrs prior to the present

Kuroo — another one where i have minimal impact on the canon LOL but he and i r coworkers to lovers soooooo i only show up at the very end!!! i think im a recurring character in the final timeskip match chapters, i appear four or five times w the final time being w kuroo's appearance and described as his colleague. maybe later on theres an extra sketch of us grabbing a drink in our work uniforms and it sparks hella shippers

💞: Aside from with your f/o, who else would you commonly be shipped with? Why?

Shanks — i think any of the other red-haired officers is common but lime juice is the go-to for me simply bc of that one interaction in wano LMFAOOOOOOOO and then hongo later on for the elbaf interaction pfft. beckman is also a regular name in a "pair the spares" sense but icl i dont think hes ever spoken to me in canon (simply bc i do not have much screentime) & mihawk is also Somewhat up there again be of my one line. OH AND MARCO..... i think when he leaves the ship after wano he passes me and does an ambiguous hug/hand to the arm thing that has ppl like wtf was that 🫣

Kuroo — i think kenma bc im shown in the bg of a few of his shots!!! and i think theres a panel or two of me interacting w ushijima so theres a few instances of that...... theres like one super dedicated crackshipper of me and iwa LOL

🌦️: Would you be accompanied by mostly fluff or angst fanfics? Both? Explain why.

Shanks — ohhhh a mix.... i think whenever im involved its either relatively low-key fluff or a super in-depth character deep-dive. im often used as a catalyst for mishanks or shuggy or any manner of other m/m ships tho which means ig its angst for shuvi 😔

Kuroo — def fluff, but also a bit of angst. in a similar light a lot of fics im in have me being a catalyst specifically for kuroken, and there r probs just as many poly fics as there are of just me n kuroo, but by n large the Actual shipfics are cutesy work romance vibes

💌: How would your dynamic be portrayed? What might people focus on most? Any misconceptions?

Shanks — honestly the dynamic is varying bc theres just not much content of me or us interacting as of yet, just the tiniest bit of banter and then a very professional back n forth. shanks tends to be portrayed as Down Bad in ships so i think that is accurate, but i do think people generally overemphasize the captain/subordinate thing and a lot of the nuance wrt the nature of my joining the crew is not considered fully until my full backstory is discussed

Kuroo — sjhdfusbfv fuckboy kuroo my beloathed....... but i feel its not That bad. idk our dynamic is soooo Normal obvi its a v subtle ship/only vaguely hinted at so the specifics of our strangers-to-friends-to-lovers slow burn is not known,,,,,, i think generally the dynamic is far faster and not drawn out in fanon. people focus more on the working together, boss/secretary vibe (when i rlly quit my job right as we get together rip) and write us as having a very nuclear family i think.

Is Neil really that bad for Claire tho?

i... can't tell if this is a crack ask or not lmao so i will give a few reasons anyway:

- first of all neil is even older than chris, and even though he and claire both in their 30s we can assume that neil has been leading the ngo for a whole lot longer than 2011 ( he moved after fbc was disbanded so he was around at least since 2004-2005 ) and had a very unprofessional relationship with claire specifically. i think lure her closer to him was always part of the plan but at some point it was just a somewhat real relationship kept hush from HR ( claire never says he's her boyfriend in front of any of the other terrasave members for instance, but every now and then she says stuff that earn some bombastic side eyes AT IT SHOULD )

- claire undermines his leadership in so many ways and while he never speaks on it he seems kinda annoyed. he pulls her aside in a corner to ask if she has any information on stuff he knows nothing about even though he's the leader of the organization and should have direct contact with washington. even on sejm island with all his little obstacles and shit, claire always comes through and rises above. the fact that he thought he could make deals with alex wesker and walk away with no repercussion already says everything about he's not as cut to be a leader as the people at terrasave thought and the other organizations probably caught on that too

- in the hq party scene claire looks slightly exhausted and miserable, and sure it might just be that the years of fighting are catching up on her but considering her last appearance before this whole ordeal is supposedly infinite darkness, the contrast is so stark. i might be biased on this but i will still blame it on neil lmao

- neil has ALWAYS done weird shit that people let slide in favour of keeping him as their leader. claire herself says that sometimes she doesn't understand him and what he does but he's just like that so yeah, which is bullshit excuse for her pretending not to see all the red flags leading to his betrayal. her judgement was clouded by many factors but ultimately being as close as they were, the fact that she never thought to investigate on him is disappointing ( for her ). at least considering her dating record, you know

- as far as affection and love go, at the end of the day neil was okay with claire dying on that island. or maybe he thought natalia wouldn't have worked and she would have been next. that rises a point of what would have happened next like, was he going to use uroboros and live forever with claire AND alex? he miscalculated everything clearly. the only moment he showed an ounce of affection to her when he tried to reach for her face while transforming just to shove her away ( a direct parallel to CV though steve did it better in my opinion )

- he proves to not know her at all by suggesting for them to rule together while turning into a BOW. claire had already checked out of their relationship the moment she saw alex infect him "as punishment", and after that things only got worse. he tried to kill moira which like, is also a big no no to claire for obvious reasons. claire is not power hungry, and fighting bioterrorism with BOWs is just not something she's interested in. her i love you to death switch apparently turns off so fast when she's not met with the idea of the relationship that lives in her head, we've seen it happen before so again it was naive of neil to even suggest that since she basically almost ended a years long friendship for similar reasons ( but that's a whole other story i think i have given enough reasons lol )

I’ve been obsessed with Pokémon since I was a little kid, and I’ve always wanted to be a trainer. When I was 7, I got to go on a trip to Kalos, where I found a Fletchling! I took that little guy home with me, and he’s since evolved into the Fiero you know today <3

In order of when I caught them, my team consists of: 

Fiero the Talonflame - My very first Pokémon, and my strongest as well! He’s very loyal and brave, although he can be a bit of a brat at times :p 

King the Zoroark - The only Pokémon I have who’s actually from my home region! This little trickster stole a King’s Rock from me back when I was trying to buy one for Fiero at a shop, which is where he got his name once I befriended him! While he loves to cause mayhem, he’s also quite sweet, and actually gets a bit shy at times. 

Venus the Primarina - Named after the Sunray Venus shell, Venus was actually the first Pokémon I caught during my stay in Alola! Reserved and calm, she’s the backbone of the team and makes sure that everyone is okay!

Chanterelle the Shiinotic - Chanterelle is outgoing, always eager to battle, and filled with energy. While they can really tire the rest of the team out sometimes, everyone knows how reliable this little powerhouse is. I found them in the Lush Jungle on Akala Island, during my travels in Alola!

Flan the Pawmot - Flan is the sweetest little Pokémon I’ve ever met! While she’s quite silly, she also packs a real punch, and carries my whole team quite a lot- and she’s quite a dependable friend! 

Sunny the Altaria - Sunny is a very special Pokémon, because they're shiny! I named them after sunny-side-up eggs, because they’re white with a yellow center <3 trying to find a Swablu and ending up finding a shiny one was an incredibly interesting experience to say the least! Sunny is quite intelligent, and often figures out the best battle strategy before I can!

Whumptober 2024 - It's Delight Is Murder

(Last Whumptober fic of the month! And predictably I am dipping my toes back into the Fix-It AU, lol.

Broken record time (just the hits this round), Inaho and Slaine essentially switch places in the climactic battle in Saazbaum's landing castle in the first cour finale. Slaine goes with Asseylum and the Earthlings to recover from being shot (because he was Human Shield Boy this time), and Inaho is captured and hauled back to Martian HQ with Saazbaum, who through various unpleasant measures (see: literally any other story in this AU) turned him into a Versian asset.

The prompt used was:

No warnings unless you count Saazbaum being creepy.)

He stared out the window at the blue and green orb that hung in space before him. Pristine white clouds drifted across the surface of the planet; from this distance it looked like a glass marble suspended in shimmering black velvet.

A beautiful, hateful sight.

Count Saazbaum beheld Earth with a cold glare.

He couldn't see the scars of Heaven's Fall on the planet itself, not from orbit. Supposedly the disaster had left meteor craters, altered coastlines, and toppled cities from earthquakes and gravity-wave crustal deformation.

His hand gripped into a tighter fist at his side.

Too little punishment to pay for what he'd lost.

Saazbaum relaxed his grip, a bubble of old sorrow welling up inside him. Orlane had been his world, his life. They were so stupidly in love back then. The other Orbital Knights made jokes and teased him about it.

"Ready for the old ball and chain eh?" Trillram had said to him, the day after he'd proposed.

He'd said something cheesy back, something about being a very willing slave if Orlane was holding the leash, which made both her and Trillram laugh.

Thinking about it now brought fresh, fierce anger into his stomach, burning an acid hole.

They'd talked about their future together all the way to Earth. She was eager to pick out the place where they'd build their life together, already enamored with the beautiful islands off the coast of the Earth country known as Japan.

So breathlessly had she described her vision of how they'd construct their house, what they'd plant in their garden, what crops they would grow, that he could see it in his mind's eye. He and the woman he loved, king and queen over their own little plot of paradise.

They had been such fools.

He couldn't blame the Terrans for fighting back, not really. That was how it had always been. Countries slaughtered each other for land and resources all the time. It was nothing personal, just two different peoples both trying to survive.

But their counterattack against the Moon Base had still caused the Hypergate to malfunction, had still brought Heaven's Fall down and led to him broken and bleeding on the rocks in a shattered khataphrakt with his vision and his dreams and his beloved Orlane obliterated, not even a body to reclaim.

So he would still extract in blood the penance and reckoning for the wrongs that had been done to him.

Footsteps tapped beside him, and Saazbaum peeled his eyes away from Earth long enough to acknowledge the young man and his entourage now approaching him, and slide on a congenial smile.

"Ah. Viscount Cruteo," he greeted, betraying not a flinch of guilt as he beheld the features of the man he'd killed reflected in a younger face, wider-eyed, more innocent-looking. Saazbaum let his smile turn a little bit fond. "I was beginning to wonder when you would join the frontlines in your father's stead. Welcome to the Moon Base."

Klancain nodded once, politely. "Thank you, Milord." He glanced out the window. "How go the preparations?" he asked. "I was told you are preparing for a major offensive."

Saazbaum fluffed himself up a bit, proudly. "We've managed to solidify a foothold in the Moon Belt," he bragged. "From there we intend to launch an attack against the UEF 's mobile space platform. They've been launching prototype fighters and scout ships from there." His arm stretched out, pointing. "You can almost see it in the distance, there. Like as a tiny speck."

"I see..." Klancain commented, following Saazbaum's arm towards where a gray-white dot could be picked out from the moon debris.

Saazbaum lowered his arm, feigning regret, and turning to the young man. "I am sorry your father could not be here," he said, drawing Cruteo's cane out from under his arm and presenting it to the man's son.

Klaincain took the cane somberly. "Thank you," he said. The young man looked at the cane for several moments before raising eyes, expression soft and distressed. "Do... do you know how he died?" he asked.

The count picked his words very carefully, schooling his features into neutral softness. "I was there with him," he confessed. "He gave his body in service to Vers," he continued, lowering his chin slightly to sell it, "and was killed in the attempt to rescue Princess Asseylum from UEF headquarters."

Unseen to Klancain, his fist gripped again by his side, tightly.

Loyal to the last, he thought spitefully, in seething hatred.

"So she remains their prisoner?" Klancain concluded.

He nodded. "The Terrans have been taking advantage of her naive and innocent nature. She's been begging for ceasefires and peace talks on their airwaves for months now." The lies rolled smoothly off his lips, seamless as if he'd rehearsed them. He shook his head. "Poor foolish girl..." he tutted.

How he would love nothing more than to put his hands around her throat and squelch her insipid mewlings about peace between Vers and Terra for good, squeeze the words out of her and silence them.

"Well..." Klancain said, lowing the cane to his side in one hand. "I hope the offensive goes well."

"It should," Saazbaum told him. "I'm playing a trump card I've kept close to my chest for a while."

There was a hiss from the doors behind them as if on cue, and Saazbaum cracked a gleeful, animated smirk as he turned around.

"Ah. There it is now!" he announced, stepping over as the new group stopped respectfully in front of him, a cadre of guards and a pale boy in handcuffs. He spoke to the boy's handlers. "See that we are ready for deployment in ten minutes," he ordered.

A chorus of "Yes sir"s from them.

Klaincain was gaping. He looked a little bit shocked. "A... prisoner?" he asked, haltingly, looking to Saazbaum in confusion.

He chuckled shortly. "An asset," he corrected. He reached up and mussed the boy's hair, almost fondly. "This little pilot almost halted our first advance in its tracks," he explained. His hand moved to the boy's shoulder and he squeezed gently, to not even a blink from the boy's vacant expression. "But as you can see," he bragged, a cold cruel gleam in the depths of his eyes, "I have tamed him."

Klancain was still staring, still in disbelief.

"Is he Terran?" Blue eyes blinked towards him. "Who is he?"

Saazbaum's hand slipped off the thin shoulder as he faced the young Viscount. "He is my weapon. The righteous cudgel I will bring against those who have wronged us, my hammer to pummel the enemies of Vers," he spoke with fervor. "Who he was does not matter." He rounded on his asset, leaning in with a sneer. "Isn't that right?" he plied.

The hollow, empty eyes didn't look up, drooping chin didn't raise, but there came an immediate mumbled, "Yes Milord." from him.

Saazbaum leaned back upright, satisfied, and nodded to the boy's handlers. He was soothed by the boy's lack of resistance, the automaton-like way he moved as he was led away. He relished the sight of it.

"You'll understand when you see him out there," he told Klancain, unaware of the horrified look the Viscount had. Saazbaum chuckled to himself. "Well," he amended, stepping back towards the window, "he won't be out there. But the Tharsis will. It should be quite a brutal display."

He was joined at the window momentarily.

"I'm... looking forward to it," Klaincain managed, collecting himself.

Saazbaum's eyes burned at Earth once more. It was within his grasp, he could feel it, taste it. With his weapon deployed fully to the field and his forces consolidated, they would push through the UEF resistance, crush whatever aid the disloyal clans provided them. Surely this war would not last longer than another few months, at most.

He would prevail. He would take what had been promised to him, what was rightfully his.

His eyes hardened like hot coals.

And then he would burn the royal house to the ground.

Or FINALLY I thought you'd never ask#And also from a world building pov this is hilarious#Picture the marines trying to investigate why the fuck there's that many pirates gathering and it turns out to be a fucking wedding#Between two of the most dangerous individuals in their books whitebeard would listen to shanks request that he marry them silently, and when he's finally done, he'd do a 180 to mihawk who's lounging on the ship railing and ask "are you sure?" mihawk is just "i've got nothing better to do so yeah." completely deadpan. and then whitebeard asks to talk to beckmann, because at this point he thinks mihawk and shanks have a. caught some madness from the tropics, or b. are doing a publicity stunt. beckmann is like. yeah. no. they're sickeningly in love and making it everyone's problem, marry them before I maroon them on a deserted island somewhere. whitebeard is like. huh. okay. lol. stranger things have happened, and gets really businesslike about it. there's pirate rsvps and a guest list and seating arrangements. half of his crew is off stealing fine china. whitebeard takes it upon himself to personally wrestle shanks into semi-formal clothes. the marines are entirely losing their shit in the meantime. they have exactly zero context to any of this and this is like a category 5 emergency to them. there's wildass rumors floating in that hawkeye and red-hair shanks are going to fight a death match for control of a pirate army. or that whitebeard is killing off rivals and started with those two. or that all three have teamed up together. they roll up ready to fight what they think is a bloodthirsty pirate insurgency and arrive just in time to see shanks dip n' kiss mihawk in front of a thousand cheering pirates. this is relayed to marine HQ by the shellshocked marines. every admiral in the place promptly bursts multiple blood vessels.

not sure how imbued one piece captains are with the power to officiate marriages, but if so, shanks would without a doubt, get the oh so neat idea to officiate his own marriage to mihawk. mihawk, not having even been proposed to at this point, still two-thirds of a way wine-drunk and tangled in shanks' bedsheets as shanks relays this idea to him, gets petty and says no, he wants a priest to marry them or no dice, turns over and goes back to bed. they get whitebeard to marry them like two months later.

Okay, so when or if I ever finish When the Day Met the Night, the next fic in that series is going to be my Werehog fic (there's still no name for it. 😔). TL;DR: Eggman tries to turn Sonic, Shadow, and Silver into Werehogs and enslave them, but he lost control of them (Shadow's half alien DNA led to an... Interesting reaction to the transformation), and they escape out into the world. The Restoration is trying to capture them and turn them back... But it's been rough going. (GUN wants to just shoot the Werehogs and be done with them, they don't even realize they have three Werehogs on their hands until Silver's inside Restoration HQ... it's a mess)

They attempt to lure Shadow into an ambush so they can capture him, which goes SO POORLY you can't even begin to imagine. Pretty much all the power characters left that plan with at least one broken bone... But Infinite rolls up to the party last second and scares off Shadow with the Phantom Ruby's reality altering powers (The gem's been yoinked out of his chest way earlier, also long story. But he still has it and uses it.)

Infinite's sudden appearance startles everyone, because UHHH... Didn't Shadow say the guy got absorbed into the Phantom Ruby and killed after Forces? How is he still alive? (Infinite: ...Shadow told everyone that I got VORED BY A ROCK???)

The Restoration takes Infinite into custody, and they try to bargain with him for further help wrangling the Werehogs. While Infinite would want to help Shadow (a dumb SparkNotes version of @bitter-sweet-coffee 's Follow You happened behind the scenes in my series, we learn), he doesn't give a shit either way what happens to Sonic (remember, they don't know about Silver yet, but he probably wouldn't have been invested in him either.) Plus, what guarantee does he have that they're not going to chase him down and arrest him after this is over?

It's Jewel that offers getting Infinite pardoned for his war crimes in exchange for him helping wrangle the Werehogs, which he very much likes the idea of. Infinite had been hiding out in a penthouse Shadow owns in Spagonia since Forces... And to say he's got a bad case of cabin fever by now would be an understatement. (It's been six years from games/comics canon to my fics, so... He's been in a penthouse by himself/with Shadow when he swings by for a long ass time. 😬)

Anyway, Werehogs are wrangled and turned back, Infinite's been pardoned like promised, and he decides he wants to stick around Restoration HQ... Get to know his new BFF Jewel better~

Jewel's... Not on board with this idea at first. On a good day Infinite mildly irritates her, on a bad day she's ranting to a sympathetic (and VERY PATIENT, poor guy) Bark about how much she can't fucking stand Infinite. He has his uses though. He's been giving her some tips on how to stand up to people that actually work, for example.

She turns around on Infinite during the fic I call my "lesbian pirates fic". The Sol Emeralds fling all the girls into the Sol Dimension because Blaze needs a pirate crew... And Infinite was one of the ones that got yoinked. (Assigned Girl by Klik Klak Shiny Rocks... LOL) Turns out Jewel and Infinite needed to be stuck on a boat together to work out their friendship. Jewel feels bad for Infinite when he tells his sob stories, and he reveals that he does admire Jewel... she just needs a bit more confidence and bad bitch energy, and he thinks he can teach her that.

Infinite really solidifies himself as her friend during Miserably Loving You, when Bark's hag mother Ursa attempts to steamroll his and Jewel's wedding plans. He teams up with Amy and Lanolin to throw Jewel a nice bridal shower to cheer her up, and when they need to go to North Island to stop Ursa from getting the island destroyed by her own idiocy, Infinite's the first one to join Jewel's team.

Skipping WAY ahead into the future, Jewel discovered babies are Finn's off switch. Need him to shut up for a while? Shove your baby into his hands and walk away. She takes FULL advantage of this while Patience and Marzipan are small. 😂

the mustache guy Gretchen drinks cocktails with is used for the Pilot ID in ep. 2 photo and name. I don't know if this is any used but I felt good to find out so take it as useless info.

the bunker and HQ have been architecturally designed with many similarities - a lot of concrete, narrow vertical openings for sunlight, smooth floor textures, even the wood surfaces in some walls are very similar used - so I'm gonna go ahead and assume they are located in the same building or very close together. we also see the bunker entrance in ep. 1 (the woman giving Alex the Pilot's bag) and ep. 7 (the girls been taken off the plane) so the Bunker is very close to the island (a very small trip with the boat I'm gonna say I have a theory here about them drugging everyone (cause its easy) and operating on Rachel's hand real quick and dropping her back on the island.. no idea moving on)

timeline: in ep.6 gretchen gets checked into this hospital and says to Agent Daniel Whatever "in two months time". so this is the day of the mussels thus we're talking around Day 12 or 13 I'm not sure. In ep.9 they are starving (Day 22) and they find the goat next (Day 23) when Leah asks Nora what is the date and she says JUNE 29th. Checking notes and math and shit, the mussels and the day Gretch finds Agent Daniel Whatever is MAYBE JUNE 18th. according to that "in two months time" when he is going to be needed in the bunker, we are talking about a rescue happening on the early days of August, which gives us one final month for the rest of the project to be finished in the Bunker. In ep9 we have January 10th written down on a box BUT the day before Shelby had asked for Leah and so we know we ain't near the end of the Bunker project phase, but quite at the beginning still. So we can assume that the "two months" in the island might have been flexed a looot longer than that? We know crazy shit happened - shelby's interview - so we can assume again they could have been left on the island until early motherfucking January because hoLY FUCK THAT'S A LOT OF TIME (but it could explain the fact that Rachels hand is like insanely healed and this timeline could be easily covered by the four seasons they are planning on going but I don't know man.. my mind is fucking blown even thinking about this)

But then again - no. Because Gretch is like talking with the parents at the same time she tells Leah's parents "end of the summer" slash 'the end of the 3month project'. (but that's before the crazy shit that happened after the shark attack so no idea). HOWEVER she IS digging up dirt on the girls to use but, man, i don't know this thought ends here.

I think Martha and Nora are fine. Nora is "arrested" (?) as they are going with the fake investigation line and I think she does come clean to the rest of the girls about her role after the shark. How many days has it been until Leah’s escape? were the interviews in chronological order or are they mixed up?

Nora pretending to be arrested makes a lot of sense?? cause the whole “it’s up to you now” rachel said indicates that Nora’s fate is up to the “FBI agents”. I also don’t think Martha is dead. i love Mia’s acting and omg i can’t wait for a goodfoe reunion in the bunkers. And yeah! Leah talking about jeff so openly weirded me out but then we learn she gets over him on the island too so it makes less sense....unless she is trying to confuse them????

Why Kid is Luffy’s Only Rival

Been thinking about this one for a while now. Eustass ‘Captain’ Kid, one of the main players of the worst generation and top dog of the ‘Victoria Punk’ pirate ship. Calling Kid the top dog seems extremely redundant but when your nickname is ‘Captain’ what the heck is a blog to do.

His introduction to the story is as a brash, easily triggered and quick tempered super rookie designed as a direct rival to our very own Straw-Hat Luffy. Kid and the other Supernova Captains were slipped into the story as equals to our rubbery protagonist with their entry and journey through the first half of the Grand Line being described as the catalyst to ushering in the next generations of Pirates.

Reading the manga however, that high admiration for Kid has been somewhat shit on quelled. Nothing against Kid but there is no one, absolutely no one that can compare to The Future King of the Pirates.

So what is it about Kid that’s so good, what separates him from the other (less spectacular) supernova. And I really am including Law in that list of unimpressive pirates - I mean sad backstories are everything in One Piece but Trafalgar Law is just as ineffective in the world as the other members of the supernova. His feats and accolades are great to read about but in the grand scheme of things he’s very meh. A post time skip inclusion to the Straw Hats dynamic with all the underwhelming presence of Princess Vivi.

But this is a Kid fan post so the less said about Law the better, maybe i’ll give him his very own post next.

Let’s talk about Eustass ‘Captain’ Kid

We seem to know both a lot and nothing at all about this reckless member of the worst generation. His brash and battle scarred appearance, his vicious personality as a pirate contrast with his unshakable love for his crew comparable to Roger himself. (They both get very triggered if someone were to speak badly about their crews).

Beyond his pending backstory (which will no doubt be sad as all heck, invoking all of the feels), one of the more compelling unknowns around Kid is his introductory bounty when we met him at the Sabaody Archipelago. The contentious figure of 315,000,000 Berri had us questioning how he managed to outdo the protagonist we had been following since the East Blue.

The quick and easy answer - he caused a huge number of civilian casualties along the way

BORING!! #SnoozeAlert.

The long answer - and some might say more fun. Figuring out where this number for his bounty came from, what kind of feats and activities could he possibly have done on his journey to the Grand Lines half way point. Comparing Luffy’s journey and coming up with theories on what Kid could have done similarly is our best bet and should make understanding why Kid is the indisputable mirror and number one rival to our favourite Monkey boy pirate. (Discounting Blackbeard of course)

So how do we do that lol...

Not the easiest job to take on considering we have no idea how bounties are decided in the One Piece world, we can only speculate based on the small details we do know and track back against the Straw Hats who we have seen in action, receiving their very own dead or alive posters. I’ll be going through mostly everything we know up to the story’s half-way point pre-timeskip, unless something relevant crops up from the New World, but from my take it gets a lot more difficult to make assumptions after that point.

Where to begin? The beginning of course…

It's amazing how often Oda has to remind us bounty values are not a reflection of a pirates strength but a reflection of their threat level at the time of issue. And this distinction becomes extremely important in trying to figure out what Kid did. What threatening actions could he have done, when would he have done it and who precisely is he a threat to.

“On the Blue Sea below, there are a class of people called "pirates"... they are criminals who sail the seas in search of plunder. These people fly a black flag with a skull atop their ship's mast. ”— Gan Fall

The moment a person raises that black flag marked with a skull and crossbones as their symbol, they are immediately declaring themselves to be enemies of the state. Outlaws that choose to ignore the rules of the land, instead living out at sea and taking from the land what they want. Pirates!!

By becoming a pirate you are officially waging war on the government - The World Government (WG) and by extension its sea based military unit - The Marines. Clearly this is the ‘who’ when the question of threatening behaviour is raised. As simple as it sounds, it really does tell us quite a bit when inferring the actions and reasoning behind Kids bounty.

Kid has done something that has directly threatened the WG

But what about that old, boring line on ‘causing civilian casualties’... How much weight does that truly hold in determining your threat level.

I’d like to argue that in the world of One Piece, this sort of action, in actuality, holds little to no meaning. From Buggy destroying Orange Town, Krieg bombarding a Baratie filled with civilian customers and Arlongs ten year stint of villainy in Kokoyashi, the East Blue Saga is littered with examples of high civilian casualties yet we see no consequence come of it in the form of newly raised bounty figures. The obvious conclusion would be that attacking civilians is not enough to get a bounty figure raised and if raised it won’t be by much, this does also pose new questions. Is it enough to get a new bounty issued? And does the lack of Marine presence affect the disclosure of a pirate's actions? In the first two cases the Marines weren’t even around, hard to believe those actions wouldn’t have been reported to them though, and in the last case the only Marine directly involved was unsympathetically corrupt to the bone.

Now I can’t ignore the involvement of a certain Monkey D Luffy in these incidents. His defeat of the pirates meant that although they were still on the run from the Marines (barring Arlong), they were now a non factor as a more noteworthy individual has somehow come out of nowhere and defeated 3 of the most prominent East Blue Captains and crews (4 but Kuro was dead to them). This collective feat is what earned Luffy the top East Blue bounty of 30M Berri.

Expanding a little on the importance of Marine presence. At each point Luffy’s bounty is increased it has been the direct result of him acting against a representative of the Government - publicly.

First bounty of 30M Berri issued after the defeat of Arlong. It was the action against Marine Captain Nezumi of the 16th Branch in the East Blue which prompted him to personally request a bounty for the Captain of the pirate crew that defeated and humiliated him. Luffy’s feats before this may have been used as justification for the value, but no wanted poster would exist without this Marine present.

Second bounty of 100M Berri issued after the defeat of Ōka Shichibukai Sir Crocodile. Public awareness of Crocodile's defeat was inevitable due to his instigation of a coup against the established monarchy of a member nation of the World Government - The Nefertari Family. Although in the media Luffy’s involvement was suppressed, the WG couldn’t ignore the unprecedented issue they now had at his hands with a Warlords defeat and arrest. So Luffy’s threat level automatically went up, more than tripling.

Third bounty of 300M Berri issued after the infiltration, destruction and escape of the WG judiciary island Enies Lobby. Directly opposing the WG and causing multiple casualties amongst the marines and world government officials (not as significant as civilians?), declaring war on the WG by burning the flag that represents the entity, defeating one of their greatest assets, Rob Lucci and the CP9 as well as being the scapegoat for the annihilation of the island under the unstoppable force of the Buster Call and escaping with the Devils Child Nico Robin in the midst of it.

We mustn’t forget that afterwards Luffy defeated Ōka Shichibukai Geko Moria on the isolated island-ship of Thriller Bark. The only WG presence was through Kuma’s arrival allowing for a full suppression of the incident, Moria keeping his position with Kuma given orders to take the head of the Straw-Hat Captain. He then infiltrated two more Government facilities, causing the greatest unprecedented breakout in history with multiple pirates in tow at Impel Down, and greatly impacting the Paramount War fought at Marine HQ while facilitating the release and potential escape of Portgas D Ace and the Whitebeard Pirates. The culmination of this led to his final pre-timeskip bounty increase to 400M Berri.

At this point there are three things that stand out when it comes to Luffy’s high value bounty increases:

A direct and public action must be taken against the Marines and WG

The large scale of some the incidents have proven too difficult to fully suppress

Strangely casualties amongst government officials hold less weight than civilian casualties.

So how does this apply to Kid. How can we use this to decipher the actions and merits behind his introductory bounty.

Well, I believe that to reach the bounty level of 315M Berri Kid must have accomplished feats near to equal that of Monkey D Luffy. How can that be when all of Luffy’s feats are first in their nature, unprecedented events. My argument though is that if we apply the nearest reasonable equivalent, could we get more of an understanding of Kids exploits.

What can be equivalent to the defeat of one, if not two, Ōka Shichibukai. What compares to the breach of a Marine and Government inhabited island. Direct, public, sizable, irrepressible and includes civilians....

The long awaited, highly drawn out conclusion - A Marine Base

Specifically a large Marine Base located in the GrandLine Paradise and under the command of a Vice Admiral, littered with the presence of marine officials and their civilian families.

Vice Admirals no doubt must be seen as equals in strength, intimidation (via rank) and authority level amongst the everyday civilians as each of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. The admiration Crocodile received from the people of Alabasta in thanks to his title cannot be compared to the much less acknowledged presence of, Captain at the time, Smoker when he was on the island. The reactive fear most pirates display at the sheer mention of a Warlord being in the area emulates that of a Vice Admiral beyond any reaction a lower ranked official may create.

*Potential Spoiler if not caught up with Episode 957 of the Anime*

Upon the abolishment of the Warlord system we are shown multiple warships on approach to each of the Shichibukai, assumedly all led by at least one Vice Admiral ranked Marine officer based on the presence of Vice Admiral Stainless addressing Buggy The Clown. It’s clear from this scene along with the ones depicting Boa Hancock and Dracule Mihawk, that the Marines acknowledge how formidable the Warlords are and how much of their own military might is required to apprehend each. Although we don’t yet know the outcome we can infer the comparability between the Ōka Shichibukai and the Vice Admirals of the Marines.

Kid definitely proved his capability and threat level by, at the very least, bringing down one of the GrandLine Marine Bases on his chosen route towards Sabaody Archipelago. And I can tell you for free that he is the only member of the Supernova (outside of Luffy) that is capable of doing this. Oda has shown us that not one of the other Supernovas compare in a level of reckless behaviour to Luffy with each of them finding a way to survive and slowly build up their presence in the New World. Law directly requested to become a Shichibukai to aid freer movement, Capone submitted(even though temporarily) to becoming a subordinate of the Big Mom Pirates, the others we know attempting to form alliances for a more promising chance to survive against the Emperors. Only Luffy and Kid have shown enough will to directly oppose all powers that threatened them no matter how overwhelming the odds seemed.

So that's it, a very long winded theory haphazardly put together as to how Eustass Kid achieved a comparable and slightly higher bounty of 315M Berri to our Luffy’s 300M at the time, and strongest reasoning for why Kid is Luffy’s only rival.

i’m not in the t-community but i want to talk so hi 😂 for some reason all that’s coming to my mind is when i went i a guy friends house for like the first or second time and we were playing super smash and animal crossing and idk he got like upset he lost or upset that i was being playfully rude when showing him how to actually take care of his ac island and started tickling me and it was the worst time of my life lol. i was laughing (but actually dying) so i felt like it sent the wrong message when i was saying stop so he kept tickling me. yeah twas awful and that night i texted him like if i ever come back to your house a rule is no tickling ever again and he felt sooo bad that i was uncomfortable. and i haven’t gone back to his house since cuz boys are scary.

You see those very tired and emotionally hardened individuals in my last post: Nevra and Leiftan. We're gonna ignore naive Mathieu for a minute...

In order to investigate the human structures and items appearing in Eldarya, Erika (the main character and I'm too lazy to type out Guardian or Main Character, or my long ass name that I had to choose because Trinity was already taken, etc...) will be a part of a team that goes on a journey that is two-fold: find out whatever they can about the human appearances and why the Island of Memoria is missing. (because in my mind, they are definitely connected)

In the early part of the journey, word travels fast about the awakening of the heroes: Leiftan and Erika. This brings curiousity to Erika...had word spread far enough to Ezarel? This begins to motivate Erika to convince Leiftan and Nevra that they need to find him to help them "get back to their roots" and find Memoria first, along with Valkyon. Mathieu decides to join along as he also wants to know why there is more human sturctures and probably people in Eldarya.

Let's be honest, if Leiftan and Erika were brought back and the balance of Eldarya is messed up, then I firmly believe that Valkyon is around with the missing island...and I believe...wild theory here...the island of Memoria is on Earth...there was a trade of sorts with whoever is scheming this.

Nevra is pissed off with Ezarel for running away again and isn't sure about finding him. He tries to talk Erika out of finding him. "He'd be back by now since word travels fast." This infuriates Erika, since her love was so strong between her and Ezarel, so she ramps up her motivation to find him.

Okay, to add drama, because I live for it...

The reason why Ezarel has not come back is because he, Mary-Anne, and Twylda are the ones behind all of this unbalance. WHAT?! Yes...Ezarel was always guilty about what happened to Mary-Anne and now he was especially carrying guilt about what happened to Erika. He lost two human loves that he tried to help and failed miserably. In his efforts to run away from his problems, he ended up creating new ones. He wanted to do right by Mary-Anne and help her return to Earth finally. This involved big magic but knowing Ezarel's determination, he was going to "right his wrongs."

The magic wasn't intended to bring back Leiftan and Erika, just to send Mary-Anne home. His blunder caused a rift, which sent the Island of Memoria to Earth to "balance" Earth and brought a part of Earth to Eldarya. What he also didn't anticipate was the Oracle (now a reborn little girl) bringing back Leiftan and Erika, which he didn't know about but thought he did that himself.

He didn't want to go back because he knows he let Erika and his friends down. The unbalance of Eldarya has made him public enemy #1 this time, but no one knows it yet...except for Mary-Anne and Twylda...Twylda guilt-ridden from the past of losing her son (to Mary-Anne...seriously, the writers have balls for putting those two together in the end), doesn't want to see more bloodshed due to the unbalance, so she runs away from Ezarel and Mary-Anne to find Erika and tell her what Ezarel accidentally did.

Erika, Nevra, and Leiftan are traveling far beyond the borders of HQ and run into someone they would never expect to see again...Twylda. Erika expresses pure joy to see her again and begins questioning her about Ezarel, but Twylda can't bring herself to burst Erika's positive bubble about finding him again. Leiftan and Nevra can sense this, so they manage to question her alone.

"She mustn't find out what he did," Twylda whispered.

"Let me guess, that idiot caused all of this mess," Nevra sighed.

"I think she would be okay with what happened," Leiftan replied.

"Uh, did that 7 year nap erase the sense in your brain? Until we find out what has all happened because of his guilt and stupidity, especially what happened to Memoria Island with Valkyon's spirit in it, she cannot know it was Ezarel did. That would just crush her," Nevra explained.

Leiftan always had a blind eye when it came to Erika and her feelings but this time, he knew Nevra was right.

And where's Mathieu in all of this?

He had fallen hard for Erika, the Aengelic Heroine, and in developing these strong feelings for her, he had overheard Nevra, Leiftan, and Twylda talking about Ezarel, the man of Erika's life. This infuriates Mathieu to the point of jealously and wishes to get rid of the very man that has caused Erika all this pain by leaving her side. He knows that Ezarel left when Erika was stuck in the Crystal but his clouded mind didn't care about that...he should have stuck around for her sake, whether or not she came back, he should have never left her. Mathieu's determination causes him to go off alone in search of finding and ending Ezarel.

Unknown of Mathieu's plans, the three (Leiftan, Nevra, and Erika) have to go off plan and try to find him. This leads them to find more and more clues of the humans here.

At this point, I'm stuck on where to go but I just wanted to get this all written down. I just want Ezarel back. lol

Hello deserted island anon again

So I am going to ignore that you called Senku a leek instead of hot and breedable. Tsukasa would probably be your type though. But back to the deserted island.

Now I would love to give you an exact list of who would be on the island with me but unfortunately I genuinely see ☠️ as an outcome with so many people. Except Kita but he’d drive me insane after some time.

But I just had to share my thoughts on Sakusa with you. So we all know big shot Omi goes nowhere without his mask and is the king of social distancing. So at first being on a deserted island would be a dream come true to him until he realizes there’s no soap to wash his hands and all the food he has to eat has most likely been near 💩 or 🍑 at some point. Even worse his only mask he has is blown away by the wind and gets lost so now he has to breathe the same air as us peasants. So I’d give him 3 hours before he gets jungle fever and turns into some wild caveman. That kinda sounds hot thinking about it. But he would forget how to speak and how to walk properly and end up doing something extremely dangerous that ends in ☠️.

But if I genuinely had to pick I would take Kita cause survival expert, Iwaizumi cause strong, Kuroo cause entertainment needed, Hirugami cause I feel like we’ll need him for something, and Osamu cause that boy can cook 🤤.

Plus having options for reproduction is nice 😏. With a group like this we can probably get back to civilization too. I can’t swim so Hirugami would have to carry me on his back though 👀. I’ll cheer him on the entire way.

But being honest I feel like we might end up with Hoshiumi as a stowaway somehow and if we do we’re all ☠️ in less than a month. So warning no Hoshiumi is allowed. But I’ll take Suna 👀. I’ll rub leaf juice on him when he gets sunburned and listen to him complain the entire time.

Lol imagine Semi and Shirabu stuck on a deserted island together. Who do you think would ☠️ the other first? 😂

Your reasoning for sakusa has me 😭 I can't see him outside of the city if I'm being honest, like that boy seems incredibly high maintenance and a deserted island getaway would NOT be his cup of tea (but honestly... it wouldn't be for anyone LOL) the idea of him spiraling is killing me bc you know what? yeah he might keep his cool for a week, but then he starts to feel the heat and spiral and make some rash decisions (like that hq!! bu chapter of him nearly setting the entire hotel on fire LMAO)

Yu-Gi-Oh x TWEWY

The Reaper’s Game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe is just Duel Monster battles but with real monsters involved. Here are some random thoughts on it. I’m putting them under read more to lessen the clutter on my blog:

(Spoilers for TWEWY game. A certain spoiler for Yu-Gi-Oh.)

-Duel Monsters is very serious business in that universe so there’s no way they wouldn’t have it in their Reaper’s Game, too.

-Also, imagine Kaiba dying somewhere in his childhood and winning the Reaper’s Game. Coming back to life to bring a lot of change and his inventions (like the duel disks) are also implemented in their UG by their Composer whenever a new one comes out.

-The noise all look like the monsters from the cards and the players fight them using their own Duel Monster cards. The noise monsters can attack the players themselves and the players can also use some cards to heal themselves. 

-Reaper’s can’t duel with players until the last days of the game week but when they’re finally allowed, they will play a game of Duel Monsters. Because what else is there? (I don’t know the rules of capsule monsters or dungeons dice but maybe those, I guess...)

-They have daily life points that replenish every day once the mission is cleared and the day ends. They get erased if they run out. They get extra life points if they’re the one who finishes the mission cause everyone’s already competitive why not make them more competitive by setting up a reward?

-Duel Academia has it’s own UG cause it’s on a freaking island. Reaper HQ is on the volcano. Probably.

-I have not watched the series past GX but I heard 5Ds is set in space or something. Space UG. Also Reaper’s Game on motorcycles.

-Season 0 showed Atem has lots of different games to challenge people to. Like, what if Atem became Composer in their UG but someone want to overthrow him so they locked his soul up in a puzzle. All the games he knew were stuff he has set up or would’ve set up in his UG (except ancient cause this was way back then).

-Atem as Composer would mean he would have the players do various mini games against the wall reapers to clear walls.

-If Pegasus dies he’d probably be automatically given the role of Producer. Even in death he could influence what new cards will come out because Duel Monster is Love, Duel Monsters is life and the Higher Plane really said “Screw the rules we can appoint anyone at any job.”

-Could you imagine the story becoming similar to TWEWY’s? Atem would make Yugi his proxy lol. Season 0 Atem would probably not bat an eye when shooting people as well. Minamimoto would either be Yami Bakura or Yami Marik. Kaiba would find a way to meet with Composer Atem even if he’s still in the RG just to battle him (because let’s face it: he totally would since he did something like that in DSOD).

-The GMs would turn into their favorite Duel Monster card that’s needed to be defeated in a card game. They’re either more powerful than their actual card counterparts (if the favorite card is common) or they’re rare powerful cards. Imagine Marik turning into the Winged Dragon of Ra or something.

You can see where I stopped caring somewhere in the post and started meme-ing. This was made cause the anime and sequel for TWEWY revived my love for it and my obsession led me to think about it even though I was listening to Yu-Gi-Oh OPs.
