You're allowed to leave fandoms, dislike fandoms/the source media, change your mind about fandoms/media, etc. But stop telling people they have to leave a fandom when the "media is dead" and stop saying people should be ashamed of liking the media/fandom still. This is especially true for media you deem as "children's media" because guess what people don't have to move to a new Real Adult media to enjoy life or to be considered valid to you. Guess what people who were into a fandom as a kid grow up and are allowed to still be in that fandom. Adults are allowed to enjoy media. And lastly, don't get mad if new ppl get into dead media/fandoms because media isn't meant to just die and be lost to time forever actually and you're not cringe for wanting to enjoy something new that is not really new.

I find it interesting when I read things about Voldemort wanting darkness and gloom to surround him and everyone feeling it but I personally can’t help but think he has a liking for the finer things.

I think he loves a well lit fire at night when it’s cold and a warm hearth and thick books and a glass of fire whiskey. I think he likes trailing the gardens and marvelling at his own magic as he wanders through crisp grasses and dappled forests which remind him of the thickets of the forbidden forest.

I don’t think he’s all darkness all the time. He says himself he’s the greatest sorcerer to ever live. Not the most evil wizard to ever live. He doesn’t think himself evil despite being very very very good at dark magic.

I think it’s just one type of magic he’s particularly good at and which he’s dared to conquer despite the repercussions, I don’t think he’s all doom and gloom. I think he can still appreciate the niceties of magic even if he finds them useless.

I can’t imagine where he stays is made to be miserable with no life around it. I think he thrives in magical spaces that are curated to his tastes.
