Basically, the reader used to be a Fatui, who worked closely *winkwink* with Capitano, but, circumstances forced you both to go your separate ways. And now, having been captured by a group of Fatui, you were unaware that Capitano was the one leading the group.

The chill in the air was starting to bite as the heavy, deliberate footsteps grew closer. With your hands bound tightly behind your back, you had little choice but to lift your head slowly to the sound. You’d expended nearly all your energy fighting off countless Fatui skirmishers, but their numbers had overwhelmed you, leading to your capture. Your gaze shifted warily toward the cave entrance as a dark, imposing figure emerged from the shadows.

“You fought well.”

Was the first thing he said. His voice was calm but deep and stern. You looked up to meet his face. His mask concealed his entire face, and the elaborate furs of his massive cape seemed to absorb the dim light of the cave. It was none other than Capitano, the first of the Fatui Harbingers.

How long had you not seen him since you last left Snezhnaya? He put down the torch on the side and crouched down on one knee, maintaining the same eye level as he quietly observed you. 

“It seemed that my soldiers were lacking in honor and skill, I’ll need to remind them of their duties,” he mused, mostly to himself. “And you, y/n, managed to hold your own despite being outnumbered. Not entirely surprising, I suppose.”

He let out a low hum as you watched him with a cautious gaze, wary of the situation. With a subtle nod, he signaled to the Fatui guards who had accompanied him to leave. His attention remained fixed on you, as he was keenly aware of your cautiousness.

“Don’t worry,” he said, his tone firm but reassuring, “I have no intention of causing you harm.”

Though you knew he wasn’t one to indulge in needless violence, this was the first time you’d encountered him since you left the organization. You couldn’t be entirely sure of his intentions, and you couldn’t help but wonder if he might be hunting you down.

Although you had to admit, a part of you couldn’t deny the nostalgia—a yearning for what you once had with him—or at least for the familiar presence he had.

He extended his arm toward you, and you flinched instinctively. Capitano’s movement halted, his broad shoulders loosening as he studied your face with a contemplative gaze. You finally gave him a reluctant nod for him to approach, his hands working slowly to release your bound wrists. The moment your arms were free, you folded them in front of yourself, seeking solace from the biting cold night as you looked up at him.

He noticed the way you shivered slightly against the chill air, your movements slow and hesitant as you slowly dragged yourself towards the flickering torchlight. With a sigh of resignation at your constant silence, Capitano removed his imposing cape and carefully draped it over your shoulders. The immediate warmth was a welcome relief, and you visibly relaxed under its embrace.

“Better?”

You nodded in response. “Thank you.”

Capitano let out a satisfied hum as he finally heard your voice.

After a brief silence, you asked. “…Are you going to drag me back to Snezhnaya?”

He looked at you for a moment, his gaze inscrutable. “No,” he said, his voice gentle. “It wouldn’t end well for you.”

 A sliver of relief flickered in your eyes. “Then… are you going to release me?”

Capitano sighed, his gaze momentarily falling to the ground before meeting yours again. Slowly, almost hesitantly, he reached up to your face, his fingers brushing your cheek with a tenderness that took you by surprise. Your eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected gesture, before relaxing at the tenderness of his touch. You didn’t pull away; instead, you leaned into slightly, feeling a warmth and familiarity that you had missed.

With a gaze that felt almost pleading, you looked up at him and gently placed your hand on his. Capitano let out a soft exhale. His hand moved slowly to your hair, his fingers gently brushing away a stray strand to tuck it behind your ear.

“I will,” he whispered, his voice low. He repeated it, almost as if he needed to convince himself just as much as he needed to reassure you, “...I will.”

His touch lingered for a moment longer before he withdrew his hand and stood up. You could sense a subtle shift; his composure seemed to reassemble, masking the brief crack in his usual restraint.

“The night is cold,” he said, his voice returning to its usual firm tone as he stood up, turning towards the entrance. “It would be better if you set out when the sun is up.”

Capitano understood your reasons for leaving the organization. He recognized the validity of your stance; your vision and the organization’s goals no longer aligned, and he, too, had his own plans to pursue. Despite this, he couldn’t deny the value of the time spent together and the connection you had shared. It was a bittersweet realization—one that spoke to a mutual regret over how circumstances had unfolded. Though duty had called for your paths to diverge, the sentiment was clear: both of you wished things could have been different. 

And now, you wanted to linger a bit longer.

“Wait.”

Capitano turned his head back toward you.

You hesitated as you clung his cape a bit tighter. “The night is long… and cold.”

If there was one thing Capitano was known for, it was his unyielding restraint and composure. However, in this particular night, that control seemed to waver. 

You stood up and moved closer to the cave wall, the flickering torchlight highlighting your figure draped in his Fatui cape. Seeing you wrapped in his garment stirred a deep reminiscence of the past. Although it had been a while since he had last seen you, it was undeniable that he had longed for you—your presence, your warmth.

He took a deep breath and moved closer, his towering presence casting a shadow over you. He studied your face, as if grappling with some internal struggle as he inhales deeply, until something within him seemed to snap.

Your breath hitched as he suddenly pressed his body against you, your back pinned against the cave wall. He lowered his head into the crook of your neck, his warm breath brushing against your ear.

His hands moved from your hips to your legs, lifting you up against the wall so that your legs wrapped around his hips. You gasped as he started pressing kisses on your neck hungrily, your hand instinctively placed onto his back of his head in response. 

“Is this what you want?” he growled against your ear, sending shivers down your spine.

You let out a soft whimper and nodded.

“Then try to be quiet,” he murmured, his voice low and rough. “I’ll warm you up tonight.”

she tastes like mora meat, its weird she made it herself this time, even though she didn´t have time, maybe because you asked for it. she loves you a lot and if you asked her to, she would buy you the world.

Yanfei

she tastes like tofu, it may be from the dish she just made you, since you fed her some too, it was delicious. you should get her to cook more often, she´s really good at it.

Dehya

she tastes bland, you´re disappointed, but at least there's her natural sweetness, coming to save the day, or rather your kiss. she really is a hero, in many more ways than one.

Shenhe

she tastes like qixing flowers, you think she went out with Ganyu to pick-or i guess eat some, but you enjoy it anyway. its still sweet, sweeter than the time she made you try and eat the flowers.

If it's not too much trouble, could you expand on Diluc's "already incoherent characterization" you mentioned in one of your recent posts? I'm just curious cause I also feel that there's something off about him writing-wise but I can't put my finger on it.

sigh. so, at the start of the game hoyo wrote diluc as super aggressive and negative towards kaeya specifically and knights in general, and all of their interactions are very hostile. they are having bitch fights every time they are in the same room.

like, fandom likes to pretend that diluc has guilt, bc of like some anonymous message on a public board that sounds like it's diluc feeling bad, which hoyo back-wrote. but they can't gaslight me, i just recently replayed start of the game content on my new account. like first time diluc appears is in kaeya's domain after traveler and kaeya cleared it, and diluc bitches at kaeya for no fucking reason and kaeya is v passive aggressive back at him. they have bitch fight in venti's quest. diluc's entire quest is about him trying to keep kaeya from discovering he's darknight hero and he specifically makes it known that kaeya is unwelcome every time he shows up in the tavern. and he sounds negative when bringing up kaeya for any reason.

and then hoyo started to back-pedal. idk what happened, maybe the direction of the plot shifted. maybe the writer who was writing them in this conflict vein quit. maybe at the start they only had vague idea of like brothers at war with each other, and once they started to flesh it out and add nuance, they've realized that like, burning your baby brothers' eye out might be understandable in the moment of trauma and shock, but then acting like you're on high horse and treating him like garbage for YEARS after is a bit of a psycho behavior.

quick aside bc i know there are ppl who think that, um, kaeya "deserved" it and like. he was what, not older than 10 when he was left at the winery. and he was about 17 when he confessed. he was a traumatized kid who kept a secret bc his bio father told him that the fate of his entire country depends on it. get a grip. but as i said, with the same logic, diluc was also in shock and trauma, and i do not fault him the fight itself. what doesn't track is how diluc acts years LATER, when he had time to think.

so they started to drastically soften diluc AND back-writing retcons. Hidden Strife letters are all about it. They were like oh, brothers were always in contact! Diluc is not a maniac, he was polite to the knights and he told kaeya to take care :) :) :) this creates new set of problems. not only it gives diluc personality split where he was incredibly aggressive to kaeya in person, but apparently normal in the letters. But also, we have letters from Kaeya that make it obvious he knew immediately that diluc is a darknight hero and they both were chill about it. But like! diluc's entire story quest is about him trying to keep kaeya from learning that! like, come on! why then diluc did all these stupid scooby doo shenanigans with slimes and shit???

now i think they are trying to shift responsibility for reconciliation from diluc to kaeya, which is the only issue that affects kaeya's own characterization. bc they are very hard going into "all servants at winery ADORE kaeya and treat him like family and welcome him!!" and fandom like, extends it to diluc now, like diluc is welcoming kaeya too and kaeya is a silly goose who has his hang ups and refuses to visit. as if getting your eye burned off, trying to reach out first and getting "ugh, its you" treatment when you show up at your brother's tavern is just like. a lil awkward situation that kaeya himself should get over without any effort on diluc's side and he should just ~realize~ that he's still part of the family lol. and ppl justify it like "well we don't know how diluc actually feels, he probably feels guilt (anon message) and wants to reconcile". which like. so we don't know, but kaeya is supposed to figure out and reach out AGAIN, when diluc at any time could've just told him that he's welcomed.

and now in kaeya's hangout we learn more about their childhoods which tbh hurts diluc even more. like how are we gonna be pretending that diluc cares about kaeya when he returned to mond and found his baby brother, who was apparently the sweetest gentlest child in the world, his loyal shadow for entire childhood, couldn't lie, was taking punishments for diluc, and see him now becoming a high functioning alcoholic with brazenly unhealthy persona of liar and manipulator, and like NOT get worried and try to reach out. which i don't think it was hoyo's intention, they just wanted to add the tragic sweetie uwu to kaeya's characterization, but they did not think how it reflect on diluc in global context

so now diluc's characterization flip flopped in several directions, and he doesn't really has an arc or plotline going. he's kinda just there now, more of symbol than character, and hoyo just writes whatever they want for him without any regard for any previous lore

Here, we are, the final part of this series! For those of you who are new, welcome to the series where I explain what every character does in simpler terms than those essays hoyo keeps writing

The final part is Hydro and honestly the only reason I did it last was because I was trying to figure out how to rewrite some of the abilities in only 2 sentences (for anybody curious, that's my process for making these since if i let myself go any longer it will end up waaaay too long)

Xingqiu (Support/Off-field damage)

❥ Skill: Deals Hydro damage and creates rainswords that orbit your character. When your character takes damage, a rainsword will break, heal them (from passive), and reduce the damage that was taken ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and creates an effect. Under the effect, your characters' normal attacks will trigger sword rain attacks that deal Hydro damage and the number of rainswords you have will always be at maximum ❥ Roles: Off-field Hydro application, Off-field damage ❥ Damage scales off of: Attack ❥ Healing scales off of: HP (not recommended to build him with HP)

Barbara (Support)

❥ Skill: Deals Hydro damage and creates a loop around your character that periodically heals them and applies them with Hydro. Candace (Support)

❥ Skill: Tap deals Hydro damage and if used at the moment she is attacked, deals Hydro damage equal to that of a fully-charged hold skill (from passive). Hold creates a barrier that, when destroyed or released, causes her to deal increased Hydro damage ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and grants your characters a Hydro infusion and an increase to the elemental damage dealt by their normal attacks + an additional increase to this based on her HP (from passive). When you switch characters, a wave will be unleashed dealing Hydro damage (max 3 triggers) ❥ Roles: Hydro infusion, Off-field Hydro application (at C6), Hydro DPS ❥ Damage scales off of: HP ❥ Buff (from passive) scales off of: HP

Mona (Support)

❥ Skill: Creates a taunt that continuously deals Hydro damage in a small AoE and additional Hydro damage when it expires. Holding the skill will allow Mona to dash back quickly before creating the taunt. ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and applies a bubble to enemies that can immobilize weaker enemies. When an enemy with the bubble takes damage, it will be destroyed to deal Hydro damage and cause the enemies to take increased damage for a short duration ❥ Alternate sprint: Mona becomes water and can move around quickly, applying Hydro to enemies she hits when reappearing. If she is in this state for at least 2 seconds before reappearing, she will create a taunt with less duration and lower damage than that of her skill (from passive) ❥ Roles: Damage buffing, Off-field Hydro application, DPS ❥ Damage scales off of: Attack ❥ Buff (from passive) scales off of: HP

Childe (DPS)

❥ Skill: Enters a melee state where his normal and charged attacks are executed with dual blades and deal Hydro damage. Hitting a marked opponent in this state will cause a small shockwave of Hydro damage to be released. ❥ Burst: In his ranged state, he will deal Hydro damage, refund some energy, and mark opponents that were hit. In his melee state, he will deal Hydro damage, trigger a Hydro explosion on marked enemies, and clear any marks ❥ Charged attack: A fully-charged aimed shot in ranged mode will apply a mark to any non-marked enemies it hits and deal 3 hits of Hydro damage to any marked enemies it hits. Defeating a marked enemy with any attack unleashes a Hydro explosion that marks any enemies it hits ❥ Roles: Hydro DPS, On-field Hydro application ❥ Damage scales off of: Attack

Kokomi (Support/DPS)

❥ Skill: Deals Hydro damage and summons a jellyfish. The jellyfish will periodically deal AoE Hydro damage and heal your active character ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and enters a state that increases her normal/charged attack damage and allows them to heal all of your character when they hit. It will also allow her to walk on water and will refresh the duration of her Jellyfish if it is present when the burst is cast (from passive) ❥ Passives: Kokomi's crit rate is permanently decreased by 100 but her healing bonus is increased by 25%. In her burst's state, normal/charged attack damage will additionally be increased by her healing bonus% ❥ Roles: Healer, Off-field Hydro application, DPS ❥ Damage scales off of: Attack (Skill), HP (Burst) ❥ Self-damage buffs scale off of: HP, Healing bonus ❥ Healing scales off of: HP

Ayato (DPS)

❥ Skill: Deals Hydro damage and enters a state that causes his normal attacks to become quick slashes of Hydro damage which can be automatically preformed by holding attack. When these slashes hit, Ayato will gain a stack that increases their damage ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and creates a field. The field will continuously rain down Hydro damage and increases the normal attack damage of characters within it ❥ Roles: DPS, On-field Hydro application, Off-field Hydro application ❥ Damage scales off of: Attack ❥ Damage increase from stacks scale off of: HP

Yelan (Support/Off-field damage)

❥ Skill: Moves swiftly and marks enemies with a lifeline that explodes when the movement ends, dealing Hydro damage. By holding, Yelan moves swiftly for a short duration and is able to control the direction of her movement ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage creates an effect that unleashes coordinated Hydro attacks when your characters use normal attacks or when her skill deals damage. During its duration, the effect will continually increase the damage dealt by your active character every second, up to 50% ❥ Charged attack: After spending 5s off-field, Yelan enters a state that allows her next aimed shot to fire a quickly-charging arrow that deals AoE Hydro damage. After using her skill, each enemy hit grants her an additional chance to enter this state ❥ Roles: Off-field damage, Off-field hydro application, Damage buffer, DPS (mainly at C6) ❥ Damage scales off of: HP (including special charged attack)

Nilou (Support)

❥ Skill: Enters a state that allows her to unleash 3 dance steps that unleash waves of Hydro damage either by pressing her elemental skill or normal attack. If the third dance step is a normal attack the state will be extended and if it is an elemental skill, create an aura around your character that allows them to apply Hydro to enemies that come into contact with it. ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and marks enemies hit with an effect that will explode after a short duration, dealing another hit of Hydro damage ❥ Passives: If you only have Hydro and Dendro characters, the third dance step of her skill will cause your characters to enter a state that turns any bloom cores created into "bountiful cores" that explode more quickly with a larger AoE. The damage of these cores is increased by Nilou's max HP (9% for every 1k HP she has over 30,000, max 400%) ❥ Roles: Bloom team enabler ❥ Damage scales off of: HP ❥ Bountiful core DMG increase scales off of: HP

Neuvillette (DPS)

❥ Skill: Deals Hydro damage and creates 3 droplets that will heal him when absorbed by the charging of his CA ❥ Burst: Unleashes 3 waves of Hydro damage and creates 6 droplets that will heal him when absorbed by the charging of his CA ❥ Charged atttack: Unleashes torrents that continuously deal Hydro damage to opponents in an area in front of him and drain his HP. This attack must be charged up first for a short duration that can be sped up by absorbing droplets (He can move around/rotate both while charging and unleashing this attack) ❥ Passive: Triggering a Hydro elemental reaction grants him 1 stack that increases his charged attack damage. He can have up to 3 stacks but each specific reaction can only grant 1 stack ❥ Roles: DPS, On-field application ❥ Damage scales off of: HP (Skill, Burst, Charged Attack) ❥ Self-healing scales off of: HP

Furina (Support/Off-field damage)

❥ Skill: If she is in her Ousia state, deal Hydro damage and summon 3 salon members that, for a set duration, will automatically attack enemies to deal Hydro damage and drain the HP of your characters. If she is in her Pneuma state, summons a singer that, for a set duration, periodically heals your active character ❥ Burst: Deals Hydro damage and grants all of your characters an effect that gains stacks when your characters' HP change. Under the effect, your characters' damage and healing bonus are increased based on the number of stacks you have. ❥ Charged atttack: Deals AoE physical damage and switches her Arkhe alignment, immediately changing the effect of her skill (if it is currently active, her summons will immoderately change). Furina's default alignment is Ousia. ❥ Roles: Damage buffer, Off-field damage, Off-field Hydro application, Enables 4pc Marechausse Hunter on many characters ❥ Damage scales off of: HP ❥ Healing scales off of: HP

OMG WE'RE DONE?? I'm honestly so proud of myself for actually sticking with this lol. I hope you found this guide helpful!!

Since this is the final part of the series, I guess i'll touch a bit on my process.

Each of these posts takes maybe, 30 minutes? It got a lot faster with each new one since I got a bit more used to it. Now, I unfortunately don't touch grass so I already know what every ability does but as I wrote I would always cross-reference with the game. This was mainly to make sure I wasn't misremembering anything or leaving parts out but sometimes I also used it to figure out how to word things.

As I stated at the beginning, my main goal with each ability is to sum it up in 2 sentences or less. This was pretty easy for some but I honestly think this limited me a bit in others and maaay have caused me to overuse commas (i love using commas lol). For some more tricky kits I worked around this by including separate sections for some passives although this was mainly used as a way to highlight significant parts of a character's kit that weren't from their skills.

For anybody curious, here's what I think were the hardest kits to do from each element (i'm also using this opportunity to link each previous post)

Cryo - Freminet, but Eula's burst is pretty close

Pyro - Honestly none of them were that difficult but if I had to choose one it might be Lyney because his kit has a lot of different parts to it. Dehya was also a bit tricky but mainly when it came to wording things

Electro - Definitely Raiden. Her burst just does so many things that it was hard to squeeze them all in. The main issue with it was the part about her stacks since they are decently important but I feel like they kinda got squished in awkwardly at the end. As I was writing it I honestly felt like they seemed more like a passive than a feature of her burst

Dendro - Nahida. Looking back on it I think I was able to break down each component of her kit pretty well but writing hers felt overwhelming. There is just a lot going on in her kit especially with the different interactions her burst has

Geo - Probably Itto. I went into it feeling pretty confident but explaining his stacks got quite tricky. I knew beforehand that Ushi getting hit would give him stacks but I didn't know the exact other skills that would give him them. So as I read his kit to double check, I had to figure out a way to squeeze in mentions of the other ways to get stacks. While writing it and honestly while writing this, I feel like I almost could have left out the details as to what gives him stacks? Like imo it isn't necessary to understanding his kit and general playstyle but not having them in felt like I was leaving a major part of his abilities unexplained. I think he would have benefited the most from having a stacks

Anemo - OK FIRST OFF REREADING THE POST TO CHECK WHAT I WROTE FOR EACH CHARACTER I REALIZED I FORGOT TO CHANGE KAZUHA'S NAME TO WANDERER WHEN I COPY PASTED THE TEXT AS A TEMPLATE LMAO. I just fixed it now so i hope nobody noticed lol. Speaking of him, he was probably the most difficult. Squeezing in every part of his special state was quite tricky which is why I didn't mention points and instead referred to it as duration

Hydro - Despite what you may think, Nilou actually wasn't that hard. I think I struggled the most with Childe because riptide just does a lot of things in a lot of different ways. Other than that, wording Neuvilette's charges attack was a bit hard

I think haven't opened Genshin since I pulled Navia on the new year ngl. She's still not built. I'm sorry my daughter. I hope I get Stellar Reunion once I open the game on the new update ig HAHAHAHA

To be fair it's not really the anniversary since it's lantern rite, but I was under the impression that Hoyo prioritizes that more than the actual anniversary since it's a Chinese company. But the rewards are virtually no different from the previous years so I can't really complain too much.

However, it's the year of the DRAGON.

Rex Lapis, Archon of Liyue, has a DRAGON form.

I thought it would put more emphasis on him rather than Ganyu-Shenhe-Xingqiu skins haha. Is it weird I'm lowkey getting offended on Zhongli's behalf??? Probably. I just think he deserves so much more if we already set up that Yaoyao became playable since it was the year of the rabbit.

Gaming's cute tho. Maybe I just have an ENG VA bias since it's my boy Caleb but I'd try to play him. Other than that, I'm just not as excited. I waited for Cloud Retainer for so long but even though she's here now, I feel... virtually nothing. I seriously love Cloud and featured her having more screentime than Zhongli in a fic before. I wish there's something more that makes me want to continue playing but respectfully, none ;-;.

If you'd ask me which team of devs feel like they care for their players, it's the Honkai devs for both games no doubt. There are long intervals wherein I don't play the game yet I feel a lot more "welcome back"-ed, including the improved "resin" system. They just keep listening on how to enhance QoL and I appreciate them so much.

But take my opinions lightly. I like H:SR since I feel like it was a game tailor made for me. I have a preference for turn-based games (Persona, FE) and I enjoy H:SR's brand of humor, the latter especially.

Apep's Everamber and the Abyss Sibling

I found the description interesting.

The insect frozen in time in the amber is our sibling. And we know that our sibling is not a descender, because if they were, they would, probably, be the third. And the third descender is already dead.

And from Rene’s notes, we know that not every outlander can be considered a descender, only those whose will can rival an entire world’s. So, that means our sibling is affected by whatever “laws” Teyvat and its gods have. (and we can bypass them, I am guessing)

You can see it in the opening trailer itself.

The character that the player chooses is the Descender, someone who can’t be trapped inside Teyvat’s “principles”. When the sustainer of Heavenly Principles is sealing the player, you can see for a millisecond that she is actually surprised by the outcome. Whatever she was planning to do, didn’t work exactly.

And we now know why she was surprised. Because unlike the sibling, the player is a descender.

But the sibling is not so lucky and is easily trapped by the Sustainer, before we got trapped.

Suddenly, the sibling is now trapped in this world and affected by its “laws”. Their destiny is now sealed.

This is why the player is so surprised when the sibling starts spouting destiny bullshit.

All the Traveler wants to do is leave. And the sibling wants to do it as well, but after the laws of Teyvat have fallen. He really cannot leave physically, because he is suddenly deemed a part of this world after the opening cutscene. Because remember, the sibling was also trying to get out the fuck out at the beginning of the game, but after that incident- his fate is now trapped here.

I think my interpretation above can be pretty true more or less, but now the paragraphs below are more speculative. Theory time!

Going back to the item, Everamber.If the insect trapped inside the amber is indeed referring to the sibling, then we get some interesting information.

“The world you once knew is but dust, and the wonders you knew but rubble. Though you should have your own world, and your own people — lamenting what is already lost…”-K · K

Lumine’s official description on Facebook

Aether and Lumine get different descriptions officially. Aether’s introduction is more leaning towards setting foot on a new world and being welcomed in it, while Lumine’s introduction is…this. We see that in the official storyline, Lumine is the abyss sibling and Aether is the Traveler. Maybe this was hoyo’s hint regarding the sibling’s story and future role?

 I know there’s a popular theory that the siblings were originally from Teyvat, and this theory can still hold true to this day. After the aliens defeated the Dragons, they established a new “order”. Meaning Teyvat now worked on new natural laws and ecosystem. This means that the siblings can be a part of the old Teyvat, and be considered an outsider at the same time.

 According to the Everamber description, in order to survive against all odds, the insect had to be trapped inside the amber. This would imply that for the sibling not being a descender and (forcefully) abiding by the laws of Teyvat is, in a way, a survival tactic.

Maybe being trapped in Teyvat’s laws was something that had to be done, for the sibling to survive to this day. If this theory holds true, then it makes the Sustainer’s action seem kinder in a way, it gives her a reason to stop them from leaving Teyvat.

The text below is even more speculative.

Going back to the description of Everamber- the text makes it seem like the insect is highly insignificant in comparison to the big tree. The tree happened to catch one of the insects, whereas for the insect- this was where its fate was forever sealed.

The point is that narratively, if you look at the twins this way, they really seem like two insects who were cluelessly flying around in space, and one got trapped in the tree, sealing it’s future of being frozen in time there forever. Okay, Apep’s Everamber is about the sibling!!

alright so by this time we all know about famous song from HSR and ya we all cried but do you all know this title is actually verse taken from the poem by Emily Dickinson

THE FUCKING ROBIN IS MENTIONED IN THE POEM HAHAHAH (yes you can cry now. this poem IS ROBINS POEM FR FRF) oh but I am not done yet... do you want to know what is the main theme behind this short poem? I am gonna quote from litcharts:

"If I can prevent one broken heart, my life will have been worth living. If I can alleviate one person's suffering or soothe one person's pain—or even help a single helpless robin that has fallen out of its nest—my life will have been worth living."

Basically this means that if I share even a little bit of kidness to this robin, represented by Firefly (by Trailblazer) and Robin (represented by Sunday) then even if life gives me suffering and I "fall from the nest" (aka die in this POV), my life would have been worth living BECAUSE I have found one true friend in this cruel world who gave me reason enough to live. Ofc this poem reflects and relates to both characters who died in Penacony - Robin (singer of the song) and Firefly (mysterious girl). And Hoyo knew what they were doing (and now both Trailblazer and Sunday have something in common Ig, they are both speaker of the poem)

Let us see what Trailblazer (and Sunday let's not forget my man) can do about this. Now they know no life is safe from harm and theyd have to learn how to accept it (and not see world in black and white as Galaxy Ranger implied) and not let revenge (if it comes and I am sure it will) consume them from inside.

Okay so I'm pretty new to Tumblr and have only been on the sf forum previously (yeah, I know, I'm slow like that). I've noticed that all Ge/nshin names are written with a "/" sign in-between the letters. Again, I'm new here, so bear with me. Why do we do this? Is it to avoid the wrath of Tumblr or Hoyo? Or to avoid vanilla people finding out? Like, I'm so confused... Also, how do you search for specific characters on Tumblr if their names are spelled with a "/"?

Hey there!! No worries, this is a really good question!! It's the latter: to avoid vanilla people who are going through tags from finding our kink-related content. That's why we also use the term "snz" and a lot of our blogs are private to only Tumblr users too. We want to keep our content to the snzblr community to avoid any possible harrassment from outsiders (cause a lot of people on the internet are cruel to things they find "weird").

Regarding searching, it's definitely a lot more difficult since a lot of us mark the slashes down differently. There's even variety in how many slashes are used per name and/or just in general. Sometimes people use double slashes while others use single slashes like I do. And we tend to break apart the names differently too. I tend to break them apart as much as I can and try to avoid small words when I break them apart for extra good measure to avoid vanillas finding my content, but that's just how I do it. Some people break them up less and/or in different places.

However, I would say the best way to search is to look through your favorite snzblr pages with a character or characters you like on them. Most pages have their tags consistent so if they have and/or share multiple pieces of content for a character, you can click the tags on their pages to go to their other posts with them.

For example, you can do that with Kae/ya, Di/luc, Al/hai/th/am, Ka/veh, Tar/tag/li/a, and more here!! The best way to narrow stuff down would be looking at other specific tags first like my gen/shin or gen/shin im/pact tags and then you can go searching for character-specific tags there. Most other pages will have this as well to make it easier for people to find content of their favorite characters. They will also often have fandom tags in a pinned post for even easier searching. In my case, I have my gen/shin tag in my pinned post, but not c/el/ls a/t w/or/k since it's a newer contribution to my page, and so far, I have only covered one character there when it comes to snz. To anyone interested, I do plan to do some sort of content on Kil/l/er T from the original and maybe even some R/ed Bl/o/od C/el/l A/A2/15/3 from Co/de Bl/a/ck at some point, so stay tuned!
