Remember that episode of friends where they went to eat to an expensive restaurant and half managed to have a feast while the other half could barely afford a glass of water and when the problem arose one of them who could afford it said "i guess i never saw money as an issue" and then someone who couldn't afford it said "that's because you have it"?

#so long story short my mom's family wanted to make a big huge party with as many fam members as possible #they already did this some time ago and it was a huge success. even family came from abroad it was wild #but it was still in a lower scale? they rented an event room and it was all k #however this time they wanted to rent a bigger venue bc the former one was rather small #and again they wanted to invite as many ppl with the same lastname as they could #and they sent invitations and all but then..... ppl saw the quota PER attendee: one hundred dollars #?????-????#WHAT???????#my fam alone are 500 like wtf (even though i wasn't going)#and like.... eleven people paid the quota. eleven from like 150+ guests #and the organizer (an uncle) was like: but come on this is a family event how come you can't pay 100? place is already booked #and it was like :))))))))))))#this guy works in a mining company... OF COURSE he can afford it #the economy is in shambles I mean #even if it weren't in shambles $100 is STILL pricey like wtff #on top of that dude got all pissy because only eleven people could pay #shit. sorry for not prioritizing a party than actual needs idk #rambless #sorry i had to vent xd
