Cherishing the many memories made, in my childhood home, as we bid it farewell this week. I am thrilled to pieces for my folks and this next exciting chapter in their lives. Yet, at the same time, my heart aches at the thought of never again stepping foot in (what was once) our family's home. Words were passed down last night, from my grandfather, to my father, to me..."a house does not feel, it has no emotions...the many emotions and memories belong solely to us...they'll reside in our hearts and minds for as long as we allow."
