Primarily, AI boosts marketing strategies by utilizing data-driven insights to design more effective marketing campaigns. The role of AI in digital marketing is essential to aim at getting more accurate results.
Data analysis and insights given by AI tools play an integral role in crafting digital marketing strategies. AI is capable enough to analyze data compared with the traditional analysis methods. The advanced algorithms provide you with accurate and meaningful insights. As AI finds patterns, behaviors, interests, trends etc. to get substantial outcomes, you will get to know your audience better.
Free your valuable time through automation as it efficiently reduces the hustle and bustle of performing monotonous tasks. AI-powered automation streamlines operations such as social media scheduling, customer service communication, ad placements and campaign management. Use your free time to focus on designing strategies that generate more revenue.
When implementing AI in your digital marketing, you’ll gather a huge amount of data from various sources, for example, the audience’s past purchase/search history, demographics, patterns, and browsing behavior, across various digital channels. Personalized customer experience can build trustable relationships with customers. Understanding users’ requirements, AI will recommend products or services according to customers’ interests, and send them personalized emails and messages to grab their attention.
AI has evolved so much in recent years. The use of AI in digital marketing comes with advantages that drive growth and customer engagement, deliver meaningful data insights, create detailed customer profiles, improve performance, etc. Marketers can measure performance using AI tools to enhance future work. However, we have to understand the limitations of AI. As we know, every technology gets better with time but has its limitations that need to be understood.
Advertising and artificial intelligence are closely related in this era. AI is used in everything we do in our daily lives to be more creative and stress-free to complete burdensome tasks.
As AI reshapes the world for the better, leverage AI tools to encourage advancements. When you have a broad understanding of artificial intelligence in digital marketing it helps you plan strategies that can be the reason to engage your audience. i have to say its a strange experience taking classes on branding and marketing while being vehemently anticapitalist and scorning the economic system
#i shit you not ill be in class and theyre talking abt how to make brands memorable and use words to describe their tone and feel#and at the same time i see starbucks endorsing genocide and greedflation and AI techbros scheming us into extinction#its extremely fucking dystopian. and its even worse when u have teachers telling u to use chatGPT and midjourney for#placeholder text and images. like damn. this is really the industry im going into huh#i feel complicit doing this because i want to pursue graphic design but its chilling to see ppl get really worked up abt branding#do u not feel used?? doesnt it feel like youre giving a faceless entity a mask to gloss over the ugly parts?? cuz i do#i get excited at the design and UX aspect of things like how people think and how design and user interfaces are planned around how#we think and act. but when the endgoal becomes marketing or doing it for companies it just feels like a waste#like i think this is what bill watterson meant when he didnt want calvin and hobbes to be commercialized#i dont want to do anything else unless it comes to that like i change my career path somewhere down the line. but fuck dude#im just gonna keep using unsplash and lorem ipsum as much as i can because i sure as hell dont wanna add to the problem if i cant solve it#yapping#vent

i am a synthv user primarily because 1) i was always kind of a moresampler main on utau already :3c and 2) i am easily swayed by affordable pricing and extremely user friendly interfaces BUT the one problem with synthv studios focus on realism is how instead of just distorting vocals that are too high or low out of range, instead they just get breathier and REALLY quiet, you can get around it okay with parameter shenanigans but thats one think i really prefer about voisona and utau or sv editor - this is purely a preference thing, but I do love putting a synth far below its range and have it still functional (albeit robotic) LIKE go into c2. i know you sound like a broken jackhammer. go into c2.
#im an expression over realism guy. also an expression over robotic-ness guy. robotic realistic it doesnt matter to me#what i care about is how much hashtag personality i can hear HGKJDSHJDS#its so nebulous what i like about a synth LOL its star power!!!! do i hear star power or not!!!!!!#that is another reason i like sv a lot tho theres some expressive banks who's vocals were flattened in other iterations#primarily sora. altho the coco girlies are pretty expressive for what they are. utaus pretty good for personality honestly#but like man. the reason i got interested in learning how to use vocal synths myself was because rikka's ai blew my MIND#years ago... years ago when they had some marketing copy that referred to ai as automatic intonation.....#she still is just one of my favourite vocals in general she just got so much personality in there#but yeah expression is king to me. its king to me. thats also why i like utau banks that have like a thousand appends#i dont care that its like an entire gigabyte or two GIVE IT TO MEEEEE#the whispers... the vocal fries... the soft banks... the power banks....#thats also what i really have been loving about genbu despite him being a standard bank#he has those extra phoneme groups which are so cool the soft and the falsetto. and of course his bank is like a kire style bank in general#so a lot of interesting utau-esque expression can come from it. suffix broker like or voice colour esque. love it

#it's 1am and i'm depressed and don't want to go to bed#there's such an unbelievable amount of century-defining tragedy and horror in the world rn#and i know that’s always true but jfc we know about so much more of it simultaneously now#like i'm supposed to be chill and functional in the face of war pandemic climate change forever chemicals micro plastics and fascism?#and and and?#i'm supposed to smile and ask follow-up questions when people tell me about vacations to Hawaii#rather than shaking them and saying holy fuck stop doing that please learn about the ramifications and historical context of your actions#i'm supposed to smile and give a measured response when a new coworker asks my other coworker and me#when they can/SHOULD use generative AI *for work purposes*#rather than screaming and throwing articles at them about the environmental impact of LLM bullshit#and that's all large scale#that's not getting into the fact that there's a growing family chilliness over refusal to communicate about I/P shit#or the fact that my mom is dying slowly and hates it and is worsening her relationship with my siblings little by little#or the fact that I'm peeling away at my sanity trying to process a divorce and get healthcare for my cat and dental care for myself#or the fact that it takes hours of research to find DISH SOAP THAT DOESN’T KILL THE MICROBIOMES OF THE LOCAL WATER SUPPLY#(10/10 recommend 'blueland' for that if you're reading btw)#like i'm painfully aware of the back-patting level of efficacy that i have for buying different soap and going to the farmer's market#but there's only so much i can do so i have to try to do what i can right? but it's so little and everything is so much#and my mental health is a mess; the fact that my particular neurotype is known to get more volatile with age scares the shit oit of me#like it's this bad at 33 and it gets WORSE?#my job is great for personal privilege but so *so* meaningless and redundant#and how tf do i look at all of this and not feel fucking hopeless?#i can distract myself with my garden but the candide approach was myopic even in the 17th century so it's hard to justify now#I'm so tired#just... fuck man#tag rant#i should delete this but I'll forget if you read this far i hope it wasnt damaging to your mental health#i just had to let off the brain scream pressure somewhere

please forgive me, but I need to complain and over-share or my brain is going to explode please feel free to ignore
#I'm not doing well.#the last two places I worked (in a tourism-adjacent sector) closed. broadly speaking due to post-lockdown financial issues#for the past year at my current job I've been earning less than half what I used to. this was the only offer I got at the time and#I haven't found anything better since. this is not sustainable I'm barely making it each month...#I live with my parents and cancelled my health insurance I don't know how else to reduce my budget. it's depressing tbh#the solution is obviously to find a better job but that's just not happening and I'm beginning to feel discouraged.#I hate being negative it's a very unattractive character trait but I just feel myself slipping and spiraling#I know I should be taking short courses or volunteering to boost my cv but like when ! and how !#I can't afford to work less but I get home at 20h so even evening courses are tricky. I work every other saturday too so weekends are out#and like I do need to rest at some point you can't be depressed and burnt out that's a terrible combo#was looking at a dtp/typesetting short course and 1) I'll need a new computer that can actually run design programs#and 2) the course itself is like 2 month's salaries which I cannot realistically save right now#and yet I'm still ''over-qualified'' for entry level positions because I went to uni. well maybe that's just a polite excuse#because as interesting as my humanities degrees were they didn't equip me with any practical or marketable skills#besides being good at reading and writing. but AI can do that for free now so that's not helpful#I always thought I was reasonably intelligent but I cannot solve this puzzle. there must be a creative solution that I'm missing#but i feel so stuck and trapped#and at least once a week some poor soul stumbles in to the office practically begging for a job so I feel bad for complaining#a little truly is better than nothing#but thank god we elected more pro-business capitalists into government that really is going to be great for us workers (sarcasm)#also I should acknowledge#I am getting some déjà vu. I feel like I've vented about this topic before#the difference is. back then it was a potential concern. now the concern has materialised into reality and rendered the situation desperate

there is apparently a new spotify feature that tries to build you a playlist using “ai” (which in this case means you ask the chatbot for a playlist and it gives you one) and some people are mad they’re like “spotify why would you add an ai feature ai is bad why don’t you add different ways to recommend music” i don’t know how to tell you this, but
#post tag#& i mean. yes it’s stupid that they’re jumping on the ai trend to say ‘look now you can make AI make your playlist!!’#but like. i figure we can all expect a certain level of marketers trying to bullshit us at all times. that’s just how it works#meanwhile. you’re a private person. you’re not obligated by profit motive to say dumb things. so don’t…

so. i'm a member of a student organization with the initials MSPA. i'm working on some pretty generic ad callouts to work on recruitment & getting the word out about an event we host, and so I wanted to use a statistical language model/AI to help me rearrange words i asked it for a callout to join MSPA and it fucking wrote one about homestuck i'm crying
#afton hums#i forgot about ms paint adventures#do i love how many people currently interface with AI? no#but it rearranging marketing words for me is a great use of it i think#*how many as in the manner in which many people interface#not *how many as in the number

Hate hate hate digitalisation hate only being able to pay with credit cards hate touchscreens instead of people hate cashierless shops hate how ai is causing less jobs and less privacy and hate generated art and generated stories and aaaaaaaaagggghhhhhhhh
#you cant even pay for parking with coins#your phone has GOT to have everything and you always need to be reachable and marketable#not to sound like a conspiracy theorist or an avatar of the web but you are being “controlled”#i feel like most of the time it isn’t even intentional#but if you pay with cash and the majority of people just pay with credit cards cash is eventually gonna go out of use#this is just an example i have nothing against people who prefer credit cards#i don’t like ai but simply because i think people are not to be trusted with it#i mean come on touchscreens are such a “new” thing we’re still getting used to themsomewhere#we are going too fast for this#and no sometimes you don’t need to have everything at hand’s reach#the world needs to chill (literally and metaphorically; excuse the pun)#i just feel like everything is pushing us towards developing and developing and developing but i feel like that’s not what we need#not constantly at least#i know development would get us somewhere but there is nothing wrong in slowing down a bit#development in medicine is good and i’m not counting it in here but rather#the “fake” as one might call it development when#everyone goes “oh you MUST have this new thing how did you even live without it”#capitalistic development seems like a good description#we will all die in the end#i will be worm food one day. We all will#what we don’t accomplish someone else will#they can just… slow down a little#i mean this in the way that it seems like we’re being sold the image that everyone needs to always have everything and it must be RIGHT NOW#people have forgotten how to wait. The crazy thing is I can't even think of a job that isn't physical labor that is in demand and that you can't just get a machine to do for free. If anyone here doesn't know by now, I'm not avoiding physical labor for no reason, I am disabled lol
#I could learn graphic design which I fucking hate#but companies can use Canva for free!#I can try to edit which I like#but ppl can use cheap editing software and learn it themselves!#I could get into sound/music production like I want to#but people can use presets and it'll sound mostly okay!#I could try to work writing jobs#but the market is saturated! also AI is learning to do that!#I can't do tech jobs because I literally just can't get better at math. I put in maximum effort and still had to cheat to pass so#literally not an option it's just not a thing my brain is wired for no matter how hard I try or want to learn#let's not even talk about how no one wants to pay for art#I'm beginning to think the library job I want is going to be fucking obsolete by the time I get even halfway through a degree#customer service is being replaced with chatbots and automated systems so I can't even try that job I hate out of necessity#there's nothing#my only choice is to start working a physical job where they won't even let me sit down in a fucking chair#and keep working until I literally collapse onto the floor and then probably get fired for having the audacity to collapse

borrowing this from @caputvulpinum because it sums it up nicely
#i work in tech. it’s a nightmare right now because all these executives are going on about how everything has to be ai now#while the rest of us are watching the technology flounder and fail because it’s just not actually very useful#that research paper was right. LLMs are bullshit generators#and so all us ~mindless keyboard drones~ are stuck building shit that integrates with ai or incorporates it in some way#(or puts ai in the marketing copy even if there’s not a single fucking hint of ai in it whatsoever)#knowing full well that it’s going to blow up in Someone’s face#and just desperately hoping that when it does you don’t get used as a meat shield by the c-suite#hell world hell world Hell World#whispers from the mycelium#actually i’ll be honest this one is more of a despairing scream from the mycelium

Okay. It's time for an AI rant.
My nephew is 13 years old. Whenever he writes a paper for school, I check it over and fix all of his mistakes for him. He said to me, "Maybe I'll proofread your paper for you in exchange," meaning one of the scholarly articles I write for work. I said, "Cool," and gave him the file. And he said, "Well, this is full of errors! See, you always say you have a lot to correct on my stuff, and look at all the stuff you got wrong!" And I said, surprised, "What? Where?" Because I'm sure there are typos in the draft I sent him, but not, like, that many.
And then he pointed to the screen and said, "Look at all the blue and red lines you have."
And I said, "Yeah, but those are wrong. Like, those are blue and red lines I'm ignoring because the computer is wrong." And then I paused and added, "You know you can't proofread a paper by just looking at the red and blue lines, right?" And he gave me the blankest look, because that clearly is EXACTLY what he thinks. And it became even clearer suddenly why, whenever I correct something on his paper, his immediate reaction is, "It didn't have a blue or red line."
There's a very good reason for that: THAT'S BECAUSE THE COMPUTER ISN'T SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT IT WAS WRONG.
I am so tired of being sold the idea that computers are better than humans and so we should just outsource everything to them, which is clearly the lesson my nephew is absorbing in U.S. middle school. COMPUTERS ARE NOT BETTER THAN HUMANS. Like, maybe they are better at humans at crawling through rubble to find people trapped inside. They are also better at preserving things in a searchable format. Things like that. Very limited circumstances.
I don't want to sound alarmist but everything I hear about people using generative AI freaks me out. It's not just that I'm freaked out by people being like, "I use it to write novels!" (Although I don't see how they do, I have tried to have it write fiction for me and the output was truly terrible.) But I recognize my bias around creative writing and so no one needs to credit my views on artificial writing. But! Other things are alarming, too! "I use it to brainstorm x, y, or z." But...why? Why not just...use your own brain...to...brain...storm? The computer doesn't even have a brain to brainstorm with! And you might be like, "But it comes up with things that my brain would never think of!" So would other people! You could also brainstorm with other people! Or even through Google to see what other people have thought before you (not AI). Please don't belittle the wonder of thinking.
I just feel like the marketing around generative AI boils down to "Wouldn't it be easier not to use your own brain to think about things?" Everyone. No. It would not be. Please just trust me on this. I'm not just an old person who is out of touch with technology or something. I promise. USE YOUR BRAINS. IT WILL BE OKAY.
