Working with Eldritch deity is very much a UPG subject in the most general of senses, so be aware that there are other ways to do things, this is just how I do it.
It’s important to read up on the practice of Yog Sothothery before getting into this blog. So visit my Yog Sothothery Blog first.
Who is he?
Yog Sothoth is the son of Azathoth the blind idiot god. He lives outside of existence and as such outside of the realm of both life and death as we know it. It’s said that he sees all and in turn is acutely aware of the past, present, and future at all times. He is also often called as the key, and guardian of the gateway to other dimensions which makes him a being that dwells in the liminal.
With this in mind Yog Sothoth is often closely associated with magick pertaining to knowledge gain, divination, dimensional travel (the astral realm, spirit realm, dream realms, etc), as well as necromancy and even the void by those who work with that sort of magick. This magick in particular may not always make sense to some but those who practice it find it very fitting since the void as well exists outside of existence but is ever present. Those that work with him on this level often view him as a dweller of the void or at the very least a frequent visitor.
Appearance
A deity incomprehensible by the human mind, he is described in multiple ways throughout the Mythos. However, their still seems to be main consensus for the most part. This visage is often drawn from the descriptions in text and comes down to the deity being a mass of glowing orbs and/or tendrils that continuously merge and reform. In a sense his form is chaos, forever changing and altering.
However, it is also said amongst those who practice Yog Sothothery that the deity has avatars. Bodies created into forms that appear more manageable to the human psyche. To each person he appears differently, drawing on something he deems they will connect with on a more personal level. Sometimes this form retains some of its Eldritch roots while other times it can even appear as an animal or in some cases more human. To me he appears almost jellyfish like, in a greyish blue hue.
Calling Yog Sothoth
This is a symbol I created from the mixing of two additional Yog Sothoth symbols other people had made. I use it as a point of contact with our physical realm, much like you do with any spirit you call. It’s a tag lock, that helps the deity to lend its energy to our realm more easily. It presents a way to temporarily tie a piece of themselves here. As a general rule for any deity though, consecrating this for their use is very important. I pair this symbol with a black geode I own that resembles the shape of an eye, but you can use whatever crystal, figurine, or candle you like. You can even just use the Sigil itself drawn on paper. And to be completely honest, nothing is required in general here, but it does work better to have something, even if it’s just a slip of paper.
As for the process itself, everything is quite simple. I chant the summon over the sigil and crystal then close my eyes to meditate and feel his presence. (So pretty standard deity summoning). Now please be aware I do incorporate both Latin and English with my summoning, as I feel it adds an extra kick to the energy. If you don’t feel comfortable pronouncing the Latin though, then just use the English. It’s important to feel comfortable when doing any sort of summoning.
LATIN
”Iä Yog Sothoth porta seit. Iä Yog Sothoth porta clavis et custos. Praeterita, preasentia, futura omnist in Yog Sothoth unum sunk.
Veni ad, pro te. Exaudi orationem meam ad te et exaudi vocem meam.”
ENGLISH
”Iä Yog Sothoth who knows the gate. Iä Yog Sothoth who is the gate. Past, present, and future. All are one in Yog Sothoth.
Come to me I pray to thee. Listen to me and answer my call.”
Once I feel his presence, I go about whatever work I have to do. When I’m finished I give an offering if he requires one (he doesn’t always) and then I give gratitude and thank him before dismissing him from the circle and closing the gate. There isn’t any special way to do this last part it honestly changes every time I do it.
Symbolism
Since Yog Sothoth works with everyone in a unique way, his symbolisms in turn will be just as unique. The following are the symbols I associate with him within my craft. The reasoning for lots of these is because they are either tied to knowledge in some way or the liminal.
COLOR: Black, Dark Blue, Dark Purple
CELESTIAL ELEMENTS: Darkness & Chaos
REGULAR ELEMENTS: All of them
ANIMALS: Jellyfish & Owls
TOOLS: Divination Tools (Tarot, runes, pendulum, etc), Grimoire, & Spirit Boards
SACRED PLACES: Libraries, Cliffs, Beaches
SACRED TIMES: Dawn & Dusk
CHAKRA: Crown & Third Eye
BODY PARTS: Brain, Eyes, & Skull
CRYSTALS: Black Quartz (not Smokey), Labradorite, & Amythest
INCENSE: Lavander, Patchouli, & Sandalwood
OFFERINGS: Incense, stories, poems, alcohol, & water
PLANTS: Asters, Begonias, Oak Trees
MOON PHASE: New Moon
TAROT: The Magician

You got me to start shipping Yog x Nacha.
HELP YOUR ART IS TOO PRETTY I CAN'T NOT SHIP THEM NOW...
Also your Nacha ending up in Astral Circle comic (is that what it's called?) is so pretty?? The emotions/facial expressions?? Ahhhh
Also Quachil is adorable (and I love the font style you use for her)
This is the first time in a while that I've gushed over someone's work (so many people in the TNMN fandom have wonderful art!!) (I don't know how to give compliments I think it's pretty clear)
Anyways your art in general is very pretty and I will probably spend time scrolling through your blog and liking practically every post (because you draw the characters so well and it's pretty and I just like your drawing style-)
I will stop here because this will become a mini essay if I don't stop (lol)
This honestly made my day, thank you so much for the kind praise. I really don't mind about your mini essay at all. In fact, I find it very much flattering.
I suddenly developed a huge interest of this game when I find out about milkman meme and then I get to know the rest of the characters...It is really fun!
Speaking of Nacha and Yog, I am actually making next 3 pages of the comics of them but its more like the Mosses family leaving the Astral Circle. I may make more of illustrations of Yog x Nacha but uncertain when because I have so many things that I wanna draw based on the game, like the TNMN bois in Hot Spring, Serial Killer AU Francis, Steven Rudboys boxing, Neighbors fighting back AU, Francis x Nacha illustrations/comics, and so much more.
Feel free to wait for more posts from me ! 😊

*Throws garlic bags at you* TAKE THAT, BOOODSUCKER
Yog jumped back, quickly turning into a bat and flying a safe distance away from the lethal bag. He took his normal vampire stance after a while, a look of disrespect and anger set on his face as he stared down at the anon.
“ You—How dare you, human. I hope you sleep with garlic bags, asshole, because you’re in for a hell of a night. . What a futile attempt to assassinate me, how pathetic you are. You’re right to call me a blood sucker, but do not be surprised when you wake up looking just like I. ”
He spat out every word like an insult, like profanity as he gazed down onto the anon, shaking his head in disbelief. Yog sucked his teeth, practically getting ready to spit on the anon.
#(// iirc from the little stories i’ve heard if you get bit by a vampire you turn into one so that was my base for this response ig 😭😭)#⌗ his excellency.🍷𝜗𝜚˚⋆#tnmn#that’s not my neighbor#thats not my neighbor#yog sothoth#francis mosses

what if,,, it was a college au (yogs)
ha now i have all of the americans' attention - its actually a university au because i DO NOT UNDERSTAND your system. at all. (this isn't even really relevant)
SO xephos is a biomedical translation PHD student who did his undergraduate's degree and honours year at another, more prestigious university at his parents were Mega donors at - he's kinda taken this chance to run off and escape the choke-hold they have over his options. he's staying at the postgraduate student housing because the university is paying for it - he has 30 dollars to his name on a good day and is Not Used To That, but he's loving having options!
honeydew is a mature aged student (literally just means he enrolled over 21, but here specifically hes like 35 to xeph's 25) doing his masters (research) in sustainable mining practices and they somehow become very good friends after he finds xephos staring blankly at the washer/dryer because xeph's never used one more than 5 years old and that thing is from the 70s
lalna is doing his doctorate of medicine and he's been lumped into the postgrad dorms because he got into medicine by completing a degree of biomedical science first!
the three of them share a kitchen. its a ride.
lalna keeps forgetting he has online quizes and has to take them minutes before the deadline because someone (xeph) double checks to make sure hes done them.
xeph's phd advisor is related to the guy advising honeydew's masters (its fumblemore and swampy) they do not like each other and the rivalry via the achievements of their students is legendary. the rest of the staff assume honeydew and xeph must hate each other.
sometimes xeph can't be bothered making food but he has Texture Issues so he'll regularly be seen eating one whole raw carrot, or salad bowl full of diced water melon. the nurses are like 'you aren't gonna get scurvy, which is new a different for us, but you might die of a b12 deficiency so.'
lalna keeps eating his food other the sink because he doesn't want to do dishes. honeydew just eats straight from the pot for the same reason. xeph doesn't even cook. everyone is amazed at how clean their kitchen is and assume they must be so on top of their lives.
all 3 of them have random medications to take and always forget their own, but not the other's. there is always a 5 minute kitchen huddle each morning where they rattle off the other's random crap. xeph keeps trying to dodge the b12 tablets because they taste and smell terrible in a way that is difficult to describe. honeydew has threatened to wrap it in cheese and cram it down his throat more than once.
lalna thinks its funny to slide ominous notes under their doors - it is, in fact, funny, but the RN saw him do it and he had to take a 3hr long sensitivity training activity run by the university.
honeydew forgets his key all the time, so he just leaves his window open. he's very short though, so getting in via the window requires a pretty significant feat. of athleticism every time.
there is a possum that breaks into their kitchen at 1am via the broken screen door none of them have reported over fears they'd have to pay for it. they keep finding little hand prints on their bread. they are numb to this.
#xephos#honeydew#lalna#yogscast#au content#night time medications open my third eye and i recive aus via it (/j)#if some of this doesnt make sense its because im very tired!#some of this may sound weird to you. every single one of these things has happened to me#(or a very close friend)#while at university#other than the run away phd student#that was my professor

Yoga: Your Motivation to get up during sunrise
Did you set new goals or resolutions for 2024, or are you starting the new year with a big project in mind? Does it seem daunting or overwhelming? Are you letting fear keep you from even starting? The struggle to keep those resolutions is real, and I have to admit that some of my dream projects this year are so big and daunting that I’m struggling to take the first step.
In a recent yoga class while teaching a challenging asana I cued the students to connect to their breath and let go of any struggle. I reminded them that life is not supposed to be a struggle, that we wake up each day and can decide to struggle or live in peace. The message that day resonated not only with the students but for me.
Oh, how I can cling so desperately to the attachment of struggle. Particularly, this summer when I let the weight of some large projects I am working on become a struggle, rather than a joy. I want the work to come to completion and I’m pushing so hard to get there and beating myself up for not being farther along. I struggle with not having enough time, and then I realized I wasn’t having fun. What! My work is supposed to be joy-filled, and all the struggle and stress was sucking all the FUN right out.
Funny thing is that in each situation I have a choice to either struggle or find peace and enjoy the ride. So why am I wasting so much of my precious energy in struggle mode?
Then it came to my mind I can find a way out by doing Meditation & Yoga then it suddenly it hit me that's all I was looking for Yoga is more than just a physical exercise - it's a way of life. Originating in ancient India, yoga seeks to calm and discipline the mind, promoting a sense of inner peace and harmony. In today's fast-paced world, it's more important than ever to prioritize our well-being, and yoga is the perfect way to do just that.

Hello! How are you doing today? You totally don’t have to if you don’t want to, but do you think you are able to create a spirituality challenge? Whether it’s 3 days or 7 days or whatever, it doesn’t matter. I’m really trying to build myself up spiritually, but idk where to start.
So this is an interesting question. Let me elaborate on a couple of things because I do think its important.
1. I have a spiritual guru who guides me. The number one rule is that we cannot guide other people because it can create a situation of blind leading the blind. Anybody who does this without being a spiritual guru is NOT to be followed or listened to, even if they’re your own friends or family. Practicing spirituality without guidance is extremely dangerous and can go south. That may seem like bullshit to you, but I’ve seen people become paralysed, experience lifelong health issues and other problems because spirituality is an EXTREMELY powerful tool that should be taken seriously.
2. Start by reading. I recommend you first start with these books, in order:
1. Autobiography of a Yogi
2. Apprenticed to a Himalayan master
3. The fall of human intellect
If you don’t like reading, watch videos of gurus.
I would recommend Sri M to you - start with his books. In my opinion and experience, Sri M and Swami Chinmaynanda are the best starting points. Both gurus have websites, books, videos, webinars, courses, live events - start by researching them.
A guru is extremely essential. You cannot practice spirituality without guidance. Whilst gurus like Sri M are still in their mortal form and healthy enough to conduct workshops and seminars, take full advantage of it.
In Hindu philosophy, all gurus are connected. So it doesn’t matter if you prefer one guru over the other. Think of it as philosophy packed differently for different types of people.
There are many frauds in the spirituality world, but Sri M and Swami Chinmaynanda are definitely the real deal.
3. There’s multiple ways of starting your spirituality journey, no standard way. The “easiest” and the most common way is a method called Kriya yog. Again - do not practice this alone or as a beginner. Sri M often holds seminars worldwide for this - his USA tour starts soon.
I’ve had the pleasure to attend his events and he’s one of the coolest, chillest spiritual masters I’ve ever met. Highly intelligent, loving, humble, english-speaking and very grandfatherly. His events are not rigorous - the three day workshop I did was 1.5 hours in the morning, 1.5 hours in the evening, thats it!

Now to the Tuatahi household where it is HOT and Mayu is pregnant with her and Harikoa's fifth baby.
Even the evenings are scorching hot. Para barely survives her round-island jog.
But the night brings some respite
Baby Nui is doing very well. The babies in this game are actually unreasonably chill for a life simulator
The next day is a lot less life-threatening. Wahi sleeps in late, while Para and Moemoea take advantage of the mildness by having an active day without passing out all the time
All that jogging and yogging pays off and Para gets ripped! Yeah there's totally a difference bro trust me
The Tuatahis have made their living by fishing since time immemorial, but Hari has recently taken up the practice of preserving fish in salt, elongating its shelf life and making it ultra salty and snacksy
Since last time, Para has become buddies with her cousin Eallin. They have atop secret handshake and everything.
Aunt Orotika also visits a bunch. They're both excellent company, although Eallin is a bit of a nerd.
And then suddenly it was Moemoea's birthday
Her mother might only be interested in how hot her dad is, but Moea is feeling pretty awesome about how tall she just got
Lookin' good!
Pretty sure I forgot to roll her gender preference. Oops! Then again, there's no one for this romance sim to date yet anyway :(

I felt like sharing this . You know chris got a lakshmi yog in his birthchart, literally screams money and materialistic pleasures you can think of ( vedic ). He also got kalpadruma yog , a very auspicious yog for fulfillment of any kind of dreams . He was ment to be famous and have luxuries of life . What's interesting is he also got daridra yog . Which is like proverty , loss of money and fame thing . But I don't think he will ever be poor in this life , I remember reading here another vedic astrology person saying he might loose big amount money because of divorce or some back lashes etc. We definitely don't know what is going on his private life . Anyways that was not something I wanted to really point out . He really tries to portay this spiritual person , following buddhist part kinda image , yet he himself says he is a type of person who would not strike a spiritual conversation randomly anywhere . People who are truly spiritual doesn't do different persona or views according to place and situation, lol . For a person who kinda incorporate spirituality to his brand he does not have any strong yog in his birthchart that shows strong spiritual path . Neither of the pancha mahapurush yog that are related to spirituality or mainly the Dharma-karmadhipati yog ( most people who preach spirituality have this auspicious yog ) kinda thought he would have the 2nd one cause he preach so much of spirituality in interviews . Again his spiritual belives means echart tolle and some heavily stolen white washed views from east . No wonder he is so materialistic . Same energy radiates from Alba . They are too materialistic for a person believing eastern views . Almost like using it for a personal branding but not truly following it .
Hi there. Thank you for sharing! I love Vedic astrology, however, it sounds like alien language to me😅 I would truly appreciate you, if you could help me to figure out my yog.
As I remember, according to Buddhism you should be yourself without any pretending. Right?
It’s so popular to be spiritual these days. Well, as a person who deals a lot with people, I can claim that some folks become ‘spiritual’ just to escape themselves and their reality. They are so shallow inside. Such individuals have tendency to lie to themselves and be kinda delusional. It’s so easy to be a peaceful hermit when you are alone somewhere in the mountains. But, what about practicing mindfulness in our daily lives? Also it’s so amusing when they say “I’m spiritually awaken”, huh, how is it possible to get know the whole infinity by reading Eckhart Tolle.

How to Be a Yoga Instructor: 6 Things You MUST Know Before You Begin
Yoga is Not Just For The Experts Number one, being a yoga teacher is not about being able to do all the fancy, complicated poses, like headstand, or forearm stand, or some of the arm balances.
What it’s actually about is cuing, which means effectively using your voice to tell people what to do with their bodies, and compassion.
So cuing and compassion.
So don’t get down on yourself if you can’t do all the super fancy things, because really good teachers are about great cuing and being extremely compassionate and loving with their students.
After all, yoga is a form of healing arts.
This doesn’t always come naturally to everyone and that’s okay. You can develop it with hands-on experience and will likely learn it in your teacher training education.
Understand the Yoga Alliance Number two, certification in the yoga world is something that’s very much in flux. Yoga’s not really regulated by the state or at the national level.
So you can pay Yoga Alliance for permission to use their RYT trademark after your name, but it doesn’t actually, really mean anything at the government, state, or national level. Yoga Alliance certifications don’t expire, but they do lapse. If you choose to register with the Yoga Alliance, you’ll need to do a few things every year or two to maintain your certification.
So it may or may not be worth doing, based on your personal goals.
If you wanna deep-dive with me into what certification really means, I absolutely suggest you listen to this podcast, where I go into a lot more detail.
So what is an RYT certification for, then?
It’s mostly for yoga and fitness studios in the US to assure that the yoga instructors they hire have completed a minimum level of education as a yoga instructor. It doesn’t, however, ensure that you actually practice yoga, that you have any teaching skills, or that your training program was of high quality.
While it is certainly helpful when applying for a teaching job at a yoga studio, it’s not necessary for other more lucrative teaching gigs (like being an online yoga instructor).
If you’re clear about your goals for your training program, then you’ll be more clear about whether or not an RYT certification is necessary.
Choose a Teacher Training Program Number three, you definitely wanna do some kind of yoga teacher training (YTT).
Beyond the certification that formal training provides, there are several major benefits to taking YTT that will take your commitment to yoga practice to the next level.
The most common format is to do what’s called a 200-hour teacher training.
So you cover a lot of material in 200 hours, everything from teaching, anatomy, and philosophy. You wanna do research on where you do this 200-hour training because it’s really gonna teach you everything you need to know about how to be a successful teacher.
슬롯사이트 While most yoga studios will focus on vinyasa yoga or vinyasa flow in their certification program, you can totally choose a yoga instructor training that focuses on the yoga and meditation style that most interests you. There are many types of yoga, from restorative yoga, prenatal yoga, yoga Nidra, and Ashtanga yoga, to yin yoga, you definitely have a lot to choose from.
You can do a 200-hour training all at once, in a month-long in-person intensive, over the course of many weekends, or you can even do a 200-hour training online. There are a lot of different types of training depending on the style of yoga, like:
Get Some Practice Teaching Yoga Step number four is, you want to practice… so teach. I think a lot of people think they’re gonna do their 200-hour certification and feel really confident right off the bat.
The reality is it takes years to build up that confidence, to have a presence in your teaching, to really have a strong voice.
So you wanna start practice teaching everyone you can.
Teach your mom, your dog, anyone who’ll listen to you. Offer free yoga classes and practice yoga both on and off the yoga mat.
Just start logging those teaching hours, because, just like anything in life, the more you do it, the better you’re gonna get.
While you certainly learn to teach in training courses, it doesn’t mean that you’re necessarily ready to do so. Just like knowing the yoga asanas doesn’t mean that you can stick them, knowing teaching methodology doesn’t mean that you’re ready.
So get as much experience as you can!
You Might Also Like: 13 Yoga Playlists for Every Style and Taste
Start Making Money Teaching Yoga Step five is charging 릴게임 money for people to take your classes. This could mean that you’re teaching in a studio, or maybe you’re hosting events in your home.
Maybe you’re teaching in corporations, like you’re going into businesses, and teaching there, or partnering with local restaurants to have yoga and wine nights.
You could lead retreats.
You could teach yoga online, like me.
There have never been more opportunities to find success as a yoga teacher in the way that you really enjoy, and are passionate about.
Build a Mailing List ASAP Step six is to start a mailing list.
Have a way that you can keep in touch with the people who come and probably really enjoy your classes.
To me, this is even more important than most other marketing tactics as a yoga instructor. It will help keep you top of mind so that when your network needs a yoga teacher, they know to come to you.
Get Yoga Insurance And last, but not least, don’t forget to get yoga insurance. Once you have that, you are truly in business, and I will link to beYogi, which is my top pick, in the cards and description below.
If you’re considering the yoga teacher training journey, I have dozens of free podcasts all about how to pick a training that best meets your needs, the exact questions to ask, tips and tricks to make the most out of your training experience, and how to know if you’re ready to take the plunge.
And, of course, I offer an online yoga teacher training course that will walk you through all of it.

JUPITER AND RAHU CONJUNCTION ALSO KNOWN AS GURUCHANDAL YOG
Jupiter and Rahu conjunction also known as Guru Chandal yoga or dosha is another popular dosha seen in many of the charts. It is a very simple dosha and need to be understood. Guru means Jupiter and Chandal means an outcast person, who is seen mainly in the graveyards. In astrology, the chandal status is given to Rahu, the demon of the zodiac. So when Jupiter is in conjunction with Rahu, then Guru Chandal dosha is formed.
Jupiter being teacher of the Devas is Guru Brihaspathi. Jupiter is considered as the most beneficial planet among the 9 planets and is known as the ultimate form of spirituality and Godliness. Since it means purity, it doesn’t like to get associated with Rahu, who is a demon. Rahu is called as a Chandal here, chandal resides among corpses. So these are two opposite forces.
Jupiter is the lord of Pisces and Sagittarius. In the natural zodiac wheel, it owns the 9th house and the 12th house. Both the houses are dealing with spirituality, moksha, and relationship with God.
When Jupiter and Rahu are together, then the person may find it difficult to abide by the divine laws of obedience, reverence, and submission. He will naturally be a rebel and his rebellious nature will make him get setbacks.
His rebellious nature will be his identity wherever he goes. He may like to question others, and it will be difficult for him to mingle with others easily. He may feel difficulty in respecting others. In simple words, his expression are of different types compared to regular and major expressions of humans.
Rahu is known as the demon in astrology and it means rebellion and aggression. When one see Jupiter and Rahu together in one’s chart, then they need to check the degrees and how much close they are? It’s generally assumed that, more closer, will be more rebellion in nature.
Guru Chandal dosha was considered as very inauspicious in the earlier days, but we should count all doshas in the present day context. This is the time for the rebels. When we look at the world, in general, we can see traditionalists are lagging behind and the world truly belongs to the rebels. Rebels are getting acknowledged. Rebels are noticed for their ideas and findings. The world is asking for change.
This dosha will have a different impact, according to the house which it occurs. You have to check in which house your Guru Chandal Yoga exists. Then you see whether you are challenging the traditional practices regarding that house? For example, the 7th house is the house of marriage.
When Guru Chandal yoga occurs in the 7th house, then the person may like to break the traditional kind of marriage. He may even go for living relationship or marriage against the family traditions. At the same time, the other features of the 7th house like business and professional relationships will not be a heavy task. The 7th house is the house of open enemies, so this person will take a new strange way to conquer his enemies, which will be a heavy blow to them.
So, to conclude Guru Chandal yoga means that you have that natural rebel in you. This rebellious may have the power to cause disruptions in your relationships. Especially with the Guru figures in your life.

Nauli Yoga Benefits Explained 🧠🫀🩸🫁
✓This post is promoting the benefits of the yoga practice called Nauli Kriya, which is said to help purify the liver and improve its function. The post states that the practice can also help with the overall health of the autonomic nervous system and provide deep rejuvenation for the heart, lungs, and blood.
✓Nauli is a traditional yoga practice that is said to help cleanse the internal organs according to Hath Yog, particularly the liver, by massaging and toning them. The practice involves using abdominal muscle control to create a wave-like motion in the abdominal region, which is thought to help stimulate and cleanse the internal organs. SAMARTH has observed that Nauli is mentioned in Hindu yogic texts where Bhagwan Shiv is explaining Yog to Parvati Maa, suggesting that it is an ancient practice with a long history of use in the yogic tradition.
✓In addition to its benefits for the liver and internal organs, the post suggests that Nauli can also help with the overall health of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system controls many of the body's automatic functions, such as heart rate and digestion, and can be affected by stress and other external factors. By practicing Nauli, it is believed that individuals can gain control over the autonomous nervous system and improve its function.
✓At Exhale Yoga School we have noticed that Nauli can provide deep rejuvenation for the heart, lungs, and blood. Through the massage and toning of internal organs, Nauli is thought to improve the circulation of blood and oxygen throughout the body, which can help to strengthen the heart and lungs and improve overall energy levels.
✓The post encourages readers to visit the website of the Exhale Yoga Teacher Training, YogaWithSamarth, for more information on how to learn and practice Nauli and to get the benefits of it.

I recommend reading my piece on Eldritch Witchcraft before this blog.
Its hard to find resources on this practice yet quite a few pagans seem to flock to it like a hidden gem. Getting started on this path can be a little difficult for some, as there are some books out there that have been published but they can be somewhat obscure, and let’s be honest, cost a pretty penny. I remember seeing one for $52 online and that’s not including shipping.
In this blog I have compiled some basics of the practice just to get those who fancy this craft started on their journey. For the most part, this path isn’t set in stone, and can be manipulated to the casters will as they see fit. Most of the modern witches that delve into it are chaos practitioners or already practice Eldritch witchcraft. So this information is very basic but will serve as the foundation for one to build and discover their connection with the gods.
What is it?
A branch of Eldritch Witchcraft, It’s the practice of worship generally centered around the creatures created by the author HP Lovecraft. Originally he wanted to go with the term Yog Sothothary, however others would dub the mythos after Cthulhu, and later after the late author himself. As such, It isn’t uncommon to hear the practice referred to as Cthulhuism or Lovecraftian Paganism as well.
Are The God’s Real?
Well, technically yes but it also depends on how you look at things. Most people fall into one of 3 main categories on the subject.
⚜️ Egragores - This is a type thoughtform creation, a being of pure energy given life and sentience by the belief of multiple individuals. Those of Yog Sothothary can sometimes believe that the gods were created in this way, and it’s the belief and worship in them that satiates and feeds them. They are sentient, and have developed over the years into powerful gods.
⚜️ Alien-like Deities - This system is a little different from the first. It generally holds the belief that Lovecraft had a connection through his subconscious to the astral realm. In some retellings he didn’t even know it. When he slept he unconsciously connected with other worlds and dimensions, but didn’t understand them for what they were and so wrote them the way he did.
⚜️ Real Forms Of Historic Gods - This theory states that the beings Lovecraft saw and created were actually the real forms of other well known deity. The forms we see them as are either epithets or avatars. (An example would be Pan being an extent of Shub Niggurath) This makes it easier to work with us since our mortal minds can’t completely comprehend what lies on the other side and can go mad when seeing a god in its true form.
How to work with them
They work very much like other deity would. They command some sort of respect, and offerings. Typically they will tell you what kinds of things they prefer from you, this is not limited to offerings alone but also other correspondence as well. One thing to make note of though is that it is very common for them to greet you with an avatar of some sort. That way they can choose a form that best connects with you. These avatars can look like animals, humans, or other monstrous creatures. The possibilities are limitless. Sometimes they may even choose one that resembles their true form although not entirely because mortal minds can’t fathom it.
The last thing I have to stress is that while Lovecraft was a racist nihilist, those qualities did NOT pass into the deity of his mythos. Racism is a human trait, concocted through human concepts of bigotry. Deity don’t have the same concepts. They do not view race the way we do. To them, a human is a human. Their skin color doesn’t matter. This practice will never be one that works in a racist manner.
Types of Magick
For the most part people tend to gravitate a lot towards ceremonial magick. This is in part due to the fact that most of the stories involved with summoning the gods have a ceremony motif to them. However, if you’re not into this type of Magick you needn’t worry. Calling a deity can be worth more casual Magick. Personally this is the way I do it for the most part. It’s the intention the gods really care about not whether it’s a whole lengthy ceremony or not.
Symbolism
Each deity’s Symbolism can be derived from their respected texts. It’s important to remember that while the bigotry isn’t apart of their actual makeup some of the symbolism in the writing is. It’s not as cut and dry as the story presents though. Which has lead to many processing the information in various ways. For the sake of this blog I will list some of the more favored gods as well as what’s typically associated with them. However, you are free to draw your own conclusions, as much of this practice operates this way.
⚜️ Azathoth ⚜️
Known as the blind idiot god, he is said to be in an internal slumber dreaming up our universe. While the last part is often seen as just apart of the story for lots of practitioners the slumber of the great god isn’t always. Those who work with Azathoth work with dream magick. Believing it’s one of the only ways he can communicate with his followers. The other by using the messenger god to relay information.
⚜️ Yog Sothoth ⚜️
Son of Azathoth, he is typically regarded as the main god of the mythos by most of his followers. It is said he is called the key and the gate, the keeper of dimensions. Existing outside space and time. Because of this he knows all and is often called upon as a god of knowledge, divination, and dimensional travel. In the mythos he’s also associated with bringing back the dead, thus many practitioners view him as a god of necromancy as well.
⚜️ Shub Niggurath ⚜️
The wife of Yog Sothoth she’s a motherly deity that is said to appear deep in forestry areas, almost constantly creating life from opening mouths on her body. She’s seen as a benevolent goddess, one that stands mainly for fertility. In the story she creates milk to feed her followers. Those that drink it become known as Dark Young. From a realistic stand point, the dark young can simply represent her followers, some even view it as a title like priest or priestess. A lesser known association, however, is the belief that the dark young are the dead souls of those that worshipped her in life. They are said to appear on her behalf when she can not be present. Regardless of which one you hold to be true, milk is often used as an offering. She’s called to bless it with protection and fruitfulness, before it’s drank my the witch.
⚜️ Nyarlathotep ⚜️
Known as one of the most malevolent gods of the mythos, he’s said to wander the earth causing havoc. It’s also stated that he’s the messenger of the gods, talking word back to even Azathoth himself. Now, in reality he’s not seen as evil but rather a trickster god. Trickster gods often walk a grey area between light and dark, and can be known to teach in very unconventional ways. This matches what Nyarlathotep is about. Those that work with him can describe him as protective or even stern one minute then care free the next.
⚜️ Cthulhu ⚜️
Arguably the most popular of the mythos, this deity is another dream worker. The story says that the great one slumbers and reaches out to his followers through their dreams. Cthulhu is described by practitioners to be very knowledgeable and protective of those who follow him dutifully. He’s often seen to give gifts to those he feels worthy.
⚜️ Hastur ⚜️
Hastur isn’t always considered part of the pantheon because his creation is a little different from the others. He was only mentioned briefly in one of Lovecraft’s stories. He was later reimagined by Ambrose Bierce, in his short story “Haïta the Shepherd” in which Hastur was described as a the god of shepherds. He was later fleshed out again as a malicious god called the yellow king. Like Nyarlathotep, he isn’t seen as actually evil but rather a chaos or darkness deity. In practice he’s seen as a king, but this doesn’t mean he’s no longer a shepherd. On the contrary. A fair king is seen as both a ruler and a shepherd. He governs and lays down rules, while also protecting and guiding his people. That being said, those who have worked with Hastur often mention that he can be strict, and demanding of offering more profusely then any other deity. But when the castor complies he will be very protective and loyal.
Resources
I will add to this list as more become available, so feel free to link yours in the bottom so I can create a nice Hub. Also please remember that any symbol, regardless of whether it’s words, numbers, or sigils, has power when put down with intention. Even if it’s a symbol taken from a game. It may not have been created with real spirituality in mind but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t use it that way. Everything is just lines, squiggles, and circles until meaning is given to them.
⚜️ R’lyehian Text ⚜️
This is a text said to be given by Cthulhu in the story. While, in the story it’s only vaguely described, there are many people who have created their own versions. These ones I feel the most accurate to me. These are a free download that also comes with a free translator on site for those who just want to try it. The text comes in 2 variations.
• Dark R’lyehain Font Translator & Download
• Minor R’lyehain Font Translator & Download
⚜️ Eldritch Hand Signs ⚜️
These are hand signs often used by those who practice Yog Sothothery
• The Sacred Signs
⚜️ Magick Circles ⚜️
These are in no way meant to be the only circles you use. You can most definitely make your own. These are just some of the more popular ones people have uploaded online that are currently in circulation.
• Generic Magick Circle
• Chaos Star Magick Circle
• Azathoth Magick Circle
• Hastur Magick Circle
• Cthulhu Magick Circle
• Nyarlathotep Magick Circle
⚜️ Bestiary ⚜️
This was originally a tabletop game but it showcases seals & symbols for each deity and creature from the entire mythos along with where their placement is on the hierarchy. It’s a good starting point.
• Lovecraftian Bestiary
⚜️ The Elder Sign ⚜️
The sign is said to protect one against the outer gods. Although it’s not always used for this purpose in the modern craft. Sometimes it’s used as protection, not against the deity but bad energies as a whole. Again it all depends on the witch. Now there are technically 3 variations on this. One created by Lovecraft, another created by August Derleth, and a third depicted as a combination of the two.
• Lovecraft’s Sign
• August Derleth Sign
• Combination Sign
⚜️ Yog Sothothary Sefirot ⚜️
Originally the Sefirot, also called a Sephiroth, was a diagram in the Jewish Kabbala, that showcased the 10 powers, by which God would manifest. Since then their have been multiple variations created by practices, and this practice is no different.
• Lovecraftian Sefirot

And aren't you just a pretencious asshole? A paycheck is a paycheck, especially if it comes with free shelter. Trust me, I wouldn't be here either if you freaks actually employed humans in more places. *There was a harsh bitter undertone to his words, but he shrugged. There was no point in arguing with you further, he was smarter than that but boy, did it get his blood to boil*
A promise? Is that how low you think of me? Absolutely defenceless? There's a goddamn reason I keep a fuckin' axe with me at all times. *Out of pure spite, he decided to take far longer than usual even after he checked your appearance, not seeing a single thing missing. He pretended to look over your entry request again, just because he could*
-🚪Doorman B Anon
He blinked, then shrugged at the doorman. Yog could practically smell the doorman’s blood ‘boiling’ and he smirked a little. Probably fixing to feast on him, he licked his lips flighty. Tuning out the justified attitude of the human in front of him.
“ What foul words, little pet. You do have a point, i’d prefer if humans stay here rather than anywhere else in my daily life, aha! ”
A small chuckle left the man as he regained his composure, standing upright with his hands folded behind his back as he stared at his papers being neglected and then re-looked at. Sighing, realizing what was happening, he continued conversation, hoping it would make the situation go by faster.
“ All humans are defenseless, axes do nothing to vampires, darling. Very scary weapons, if i do say so myself, and an incredible piece of weaponry you keep on you! But i’m afraid that won’t stop any vampire, let alone anybody above me in the hierarchy. . ”
Yog totally ignored the fact that a mere swing to the neck with an axe could cook him, being the annoying cocky mf he is

The Connection Between Yoga and Mental Focus
Yoga works on multiple dimensions to sharpen focus and concentration:
Mindfulness Training:
Yoga encourages you to stay present in the moment. As you move through asanas or hold a pose, your attention shifts inward, away from distractions. This mindfulness improves your ability to concentrate on tasks in your daily life.
Breath Awareness:
Pranayama (breathing exercises) trains you to regulate your breath, which has a direct impact on the mind. Slow, deep breathing calms mental chatter and brings clarity, making it easier to focus.
Stress Reduction:
High stress clouds the mind and impairs concentration. Yoga reduces cortisol levels, promoting relaxation and improving mental clarity. A stress-free mind is naturally more focused.
Improved Brain Function:
Studies suggest that regular yoga practice enhances cognitive functions, including memory and attention span. The combination of physical movement, breath control, and meditation boosts brain health.
Yoga Practices to Enhance Focus and Concentration
Here are some specific yoga practices that can help sharpen your mind:
1. Asanas (Yoga Poses)
Certain poses stimulate the brain and promote mental clarity:
Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): Balancing poses like this require intense focus to maintain stability, training your mind to concentrate.
Eagle Pose (Garudasana): This pose enhances focus as you concentrate on aligning your limbs and maintaining balance.
Child’s Pose (Balasana): A restorative pose that calms the mind, reducing distractions and anxiety.
2. Pranayama (Breathing Exercises)
Breath control is central to improving focus:
Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing): This technique balances the brain's hemispheres, improving concentration and clarity.
Bhastrika (Bellows Breath): Energizes the mind and body, clearing mental fog.
Bhramari (Bee Breath): A soothing technique that calms the nervous system and reduces distractions.
3. Meditation and Mindfulness Practices
Meditation strengthens your ability to concentrate for extended periods. Start with:
Trataka (Candle Gazing Meditation): A powerful method to develop unwavering focus.
Mindfulness Meditation: Focus on your breath, body sensations, or a mantra to train the mind to stay in the present.
4. Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)
This guided relaxation technique helps clear the subconscious mind and improves mental alertness, ultimately enhancing focus.
Daily Habits to Support Yoga for Mental Focus
Incorporating the following habits can amplify yoga’s benefits:
Stay Consistent: Dedicate at least 20–30 minutes daily to yoga and meditation.
Practice Early: Morning sessions are ideal as the mind is naturally calmer and more receptive.
Limit Distractions: Create a peaceful space for your yoga practice, free from interruptions.
Eat Mindfully: A balanced diet rich in sattvic foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains) supports mental clarity.
Real-Life Benefits of Yoga for Focus
Yoga practitioners often report profound transformations:
Improved productivity at work due to better concentration.
Enhanced academic performance among students practicing yoga.
Reduced procrastination and greater motivation to achieve goals.
Yoga aligns your mind with your body, creating a harmonious state that fosters both calmness and alertness.
