the sturniolos house was ready and decorated for christmas, decorations painting the home. you were filming a video with the triplets, a fun holiday activity.

"hey guys, today we are going to be building and decorating gingerbread houses with our best friend, y/n l/n!" nick says as he explains the video to the camera. "hi!" you say as you wave to the camera.

"we're going to be in teams for this, so we have y/n and matt together, which leaves chris and i in a group together" nick explains. "we will have about an hour to finish and you guys will vote on our instagram, @ sturniolo.triplets to see who's is the best."

a couple minutes go by and nick already has the entire group laughing. "what the fuck is that?" nick wheezes as he points out chris' gingerbread man. "it's gingy" he laughs. "look at all his aura nick!" you and matt were now gasping for air at the sight of chris' gingerbread man; it was covered in icing and candy.

"don't fucking put that anywhere near our gingerbread house" nick says. "i'll do whatever the fuck i want to" chris responds, sass laced on his tongue. chris and nick start yelling at eachother, so you and matt take the advantage that they're not working while the time was running out.

you and matt are working in perfect harmony, your house almost done, whereas chris and nicks had fallen about three times. they're still yelling at each other, but you and matt are in your own little world. the roof had begun to slip and matt soon became aware of it, breaking his silence to help you. "make sure you- here" matt wraps his arms around you from behind, helping you hold the roof together while you ice the top.

your breathing subconsciously starts to get heavier, the boy now practically wrapped around you. "okay...there we go" matt says as he stands back up to continue putting gumdrops on the roof. the boys behavior didn't go unnoticed, however nobody said anything.

"chris you're a fucking idiot" nick states as the boys go back at it again. "how am i the idiot? i'm just trying to add gingy to our house" chris chuckles. "oh my-" nick gets cut off by chris throwing the gingerbread man at him, causing a fight between the two.

"oh my fucking- you're gonna die. you're going to fucking die chris!" nick exclaims as he launches the bag of icing in chris' direction. however, chris quickly moved out of the way, leaving the icing to go right for your head. matt is quick to respond, and catches the icing bag right before it smacks you. the two of you are now looking right at eachother, the tension being way too much.

"chat is this rizz?" chris gasps as he stares at the scene unfolding before him. the four of you laugh it off, matt's reflexes being insane once again. you try to keep the odd feeling for your best friend in but nobody in this room knows how much he means to you. everyone goes back to decorating, but not without chris and nick fighting a bit more.

"alright everybody, thank you so much for tuning in and watching this weeks friday video, we will put a poll on our instagram story to see who won so make sure you're following the group account, and we'll see you next friday!" nick says, as matt screams at the camera before shutting it off. you all begin to clean up the mess and nick takes pictures of the gingerbread houses for instagram.

the four of you are now sitting on the couch, matt subconsciously placing his arm around you. you try to choke back words, not wanting anything to change. this night was truly perfect. "i just know we're gonna win" chris states. "i don't give a flying fuck about what you 'know' " matt states as chris starts to huff about how his and nicks gingerbread house was better, a pointless argument that matt showed no mind to. the night ends with watching die hard and sipping hot cocoa, a classic christmas night.

You stood from your seat and met Vinnie with a hug.

“You look stunning [Name]. Thank you for having me.” He spoke arms wrapped around your waist. “Anytime Vinnie and I can say the same for you.” You smiled as Vinnie pulled a chair to sit in. “Ok, that was the surprise, everyone. It’s late in LA right now so expect a bunch of content on Instagram and YouTube tomorrow. In the meantime, I’m going to be putting Vinnie in the hot seat.” Vinnie dramatically wiped his forehead “Should I be nervous?” You smirked mischievously

“First question, what’s your ideal first date?” Vinnie took a moment to think it over. “I’ll probably have to say doing a stream with someone I’m currently collabing with.” Vinnie smiled at you expecting some type of nervous response but instead, you just laughed. “That’s exactly what we’re doing, what are the chances?” Vinnie started at you blankly. Were you serious? You held no sign of joking. Vinnie tried not to stress that much, he enjoyed a good chase.

“Which would you Kiss, Marry, Kill? Larray, Jack, or Quenlin?” Vinnie laughed “Damn the big three? You’re not on this list right?” You shock your head no. “I’ll have to say pass on all of them. I’ll save my kiss and the ring for you.” Vinnie smirked. “Aww that’s the sweetest thank you so much. Next question.” That’s it? Vinnie couldn’t have been more straightforward with the male. He looked over to the monitor, and the chat was going crazy.

Calling All Hatchetfield Artists!

Starkid has gifted us with Nightmare Time, 2 seasons worth of stories that have all made us laugh and cry (hard. way way too hard.), however they are all confined to readings of the scripts. So I, @blueskiesandstarrynights and @midnightnautilus thought we could do something about it.

Introducing the first Nightmare Time fan comic!

Here's how it will work:

First, we'll post a poll here where you can vote for which story should get adapted first. If your favorite doesn't win, don't worry! If this takes off, we hope to adapt other stories as well!

The poll will run for a week, then we'll post a google form for artists to fill out in regards to interest. It will ask about how much you can commit to and how best you can communicate. This will stay open for a few weeks, then we'll get started!

I will be breaking up the script into smaller parts, assigning bits of dialogue and/or action to a page, and assigning a number of pages to artists based on what you told us in the form. More specific details will come as a story is decided

with that being said SHARE SHARE SHARE not just with your mutuals here, but any artists you know on Twitter, Instagram, anywhere! I want to get as many people involved as possible!

With that being said, I can't wait to see what story is picked and hope to see plenty of interest and participation!

Submissions for Hikaru's Upcoming YouTube Live Broadcast

Today, at 21:00 (JST) Hikaru will do a live stream on her official YouTube channel "Hikaru ch." to celebrate 5000 subscribers.The other day, she did a poll on Twitter, asking fans how she should be celebrating this special occasion. Most people voted for a casual live stream of her answering questions/responding to messages while eating something. Go to her Instagram Stories to leave a comment/question/etc.

Some highlights:

She's trying to enable Superchats for fans but apparently it's not working. A shame, seems like everyone want to show their support by sending Superchats.

She received close to 300 questions and seems determined to reply to as many as possible XD

Hikaru says she doesn't know yet if she will archive the video. Meh >_< (it's getting more and more unlikely the longer her broadcast lasts but she'll think about. BANZAI! She decided to keep it!)

Looking at her mini sips is always so much fun. It's a running gag during her live MCs to watch her bottle content barely being reduced despite her taking several breaks to take a sip. [I'm the exact same when it comes to my drinks XD]

Something she'll never compromise in her career: The fact that her fans come first, they will always be the most important thing for her.

Hikaru can't really talk about any future Kalafina activities but she shares Keiko's hopefuly sentiment of “叶うならまた~/And if my wish would come true, maybe[we can do this/sing together] again~”

Someone asks about the changes of her voice compared to her early days. She's aware that she was able to produce higher/longer notes back then but her body changed throughout the years. She's tried very hard to retain those abilities from back then (because she liked what she was able to convey with it) but despite her efforts, it just wasn't meant to be. She's made peace with the fact that her old voice is not coming back but she is determined to make the best of her current voice. There are things she can convey now that she wasn't able to convey back then.

Seems like the girls might not have received all of the gifts that were put in the boxes during the Kalafina Anniversary Live. Some fans on Twitter got together to create a fancy message book for each of them but apparently Hikaru hasn't gotten it (yet). She says there are some organisational problems with her being freelance and the other two having their own separate management so maybe some things got mixed up. She will ask the other two if they know anything about any missing presents.

Awwww, to hear Hikaru say "Wakana-san is really amazing" (in regard to her being able to sing those super high notes) is such a treat.

WOW! She really went through ALL questions. Impressive! And she wants to end the live stream at 1:23💙🖤🤍

She will do another live stream like this when she reaches 10.000 subscribers.

I know I just did a poll about the PT designs yesterday (and it’s still running too lmao 😅😂) but Moonie_Fan_Collections is running her own polls (yes, she has more than one poll! Progress Update #5: Lo-Fi Wireframes Pau!

Hey everyone! So glad you’re stopping by my Tumblr blog again! Read ↓below↓ for my project update details!

What has been happening over the past 2 weeks?

These past two weeks have been pretty busy as I worked on my other classes’ assignments. I went against the advice of our professor, who said, “Use the spring break to catch up,” but I instead opted to relax and decompress. I actually went outside this time, touched grass, and shopped at malls, unlike my previous breaks, when I would just stay cooped up in my house reading manga. I pretty much crammed some last-minute work before class today and the night before. At the very least, I finished my low-fidelity wireframes for the five microsites. In my last post, I only completed my low-fidelity wireframes for the main website, so I am happy to have done more. I think I forgot to mention that I reduced the scope of my website. Instead of ten designs, I narrowed it down to just five to make it more manageable for myself. If I also fail to deliver a fully functional website, I will fall back on a website prototype as a backup.

What is coming up for the next 2 weeks?

My next step is to complete my high-fidelity wireframes based on the low-fidelity ones. For this step, I will need to gather assets, such as images and text (copy) to use. After that, I will work on recreating the design on the actual website using Wix, hopefully by next week on the 30th. I want to launch the website as soon as possible to ensure there is ample time to gather data by collecting votes from my Instagram Stories polls, summarizing the results, and posting the summary on the site. So, that’s where I am heading over the next two weeks.

Hiccups/Hurdles/AHA moments

A hurdle I had to overcome was my perfectionist mindset. Because I want everything to be perfect, it was a struggle to begin tackling my five microsite wireframe designs. I did not know where to start, but once I began working, I had momentum. At this point, I realized I really just need to pass. Of course, I want to put out my best work, but I may need to take some shortcuts.

I had an AHA moment when I realized that I still had some time before I needed to launch my website. It is not a lot of time, but I remain hopeful. However, throughout this whole creative process, I have had serious self-doubt about completing this project. I had given up in high school for a STEM capstone project for STEM honors, where I dropped the class and forfeited the honors. It was definitely not my proudest moment, but I like to believe I have changed drastically from that time. Although I have self-doubt and imposter syndrome, I have accomplished a lot to get to where I am now. While I do not believe I was the person to actually achieve these things, I am trying to be more grateful and celebrate the small victories. By the end of this project, I hope to savor my triumph and success exuberantly with my friends and family. I am so close to the finish line. We all are. We got this, guys!

At the top of this post, you will find screenshots of my low- and high-fidelity wireframes from Figma. I have finished my lo-fi wireframes and am beginning to work on my hi-fi ones. I have compiled my brand color palette, study guide, user personas, sitemap, and lo-fi wireframes into one Figma file to have everything in one place.

Where are you on your timeline?

I am kind of in the production phase, depending on how you look at it. I categorized wireframes under the production phase, but others may still consider them to be in the pre-production phase. Needless to say, I am quite behind, as I have assigned myself to launch my website this past Sunday. Now I know that the deadlines I set for myself are tentative and bound to change, so I won’t beat myself up over it too much. I am proud I have at least finished my lo-fi wireframes, which were substantially weighing on my mind due to feeling overwhelmed. Even so, I have reduced the scope of my project, which has lifted that immense burden off my shoulders.

Dear Blake: A Review

Overall Review: ☆☆☆☆

‘Dear Blake’ by Alex Nonymous was once again something I picked up on a whim. I saw an Instagram reel and I just knew I had to read it, despite the fact that it I would have to “unfortunately” to break my buying ban that I had to impose. Naturally, I broke it but I bought it on my Kindle so it would be cheaper. It’s okay then, I guess? ‘Dear Blake’ is a young adult story following a young Sarah over the years of highschool. And did I mention that it’s a sapphic story? Need I say more?

Through emails to a mysterious ‘Blake’ we follow Sarah from 8th to 11th grade in high school. We follow their developing relationships with old friends like George and new ones with Madeline, a somewhat enemy though outside of school they do find themselves reluctantly getting along. We explore the ups and downs of teenage life. First relationships. First break ups. Finding out who you are as a person and who you want to be.

Reading this I particularly enjoyed how realistic it was when it comes to being a teenager. The constant anxiety about school and friendships- though they’re not really a positive thing they certainly are realistic. I loved watching the main character come to terms with their sexuality in real time, and watching them tell their friends and family to be met with love and support from them. I adored the way in which the book was written, watching Sarah grow as a person made it a personal story, as if you were reading an email of a dear friend.

Would I recommend it? Yes, if you are looking for a queer coming of age story of self- acceptance and love. Even when you aren’t necessarily looking for one still I would yes. It would be one of those days where neither of you have work or any other obligations, and there’s nothing else you need to be doing, so you take the rare chance to relax and spend the day at home together. UGH YES PLEASE NAPPING ALL DAY

You’ve been wanting to make some Gingerbread for a while and you've got all of the actual ingredients at home but you wanted to buy some icing, and some chocolates and sweets that you can use as decorations for the gingerbread house you’re going to attempt to build. I CAN SEE THIS BEING SO MESSY🤭

You try to be quick in the shops, not wanting to keep Mase and Ace waiting for too long outside but you still grab some extra snacks for the afternoon before paying and going back to find them outside. Mason would take one of the bags from you, not expecting you to carry them both the whole way home and you try and take it back from him because he’s got Ace on the lead and you really don’t mind carrying it but he doesn’t let you have it back. HE IS A GENTLEMAN 😌

You put them on and probably convince him to take some photos with you in them, you move in front of the floor length mirror you have in your bedroom to try and take some but he’d be all over you, constantly trying to make you laugh by tickling you and constantly kissing you when you’re about to take a photo. But they’d turn out as some of your favourites, the ones where you’re both laughing and smiling wide. UGH THATS CUTEEE

You’d go downstairs and put a Christmas movie on, maybe Elf or Home Alone, and then go into the kitchen to get started on the baking (i think his house has a joint living/kitchen area so you’d be able to watch the film from the kitchen) I VOTE FOR THE GRINCH

Baking together would be so so fun, maybe you do quite a lot of baking so he lets you take the reigns and steps in to help where and when he can. And I can imagine him being a little shit and trying to get on your nerves, doing things like flicking flour at you or smearing it over your cheek and by the time the gingerbread has been put in the oven you’d be covered in various ingredients and in desperate need of a shower, but it’s funny more than it’s annoying. He could never ignore you no matter how many times he snuck bits of the batter when you weren’t paying attention. I LOVE THIS OMG, BUT I WOULD GET SO MAD AT HIM 😂

Once it’s all cooked you take them out of the oven and let them cool before cutting up the pieces to the correct sizes to make a gingerbread house with them. Maybe you want to set up a little decorating competition but you don’t have enough to make two so you each take a side and get started on the decorating. It would be a constant race to get the best sweet and chocolate to use as decorations and a lot of them would definitely be eaten before they even make it onto the house. HE WOULD DO EVERYTHING HE CAN TO WIN AND WE ALL KNOW THIS

It’s a bit of a mess by the time you’re finished, both of you having our way too much on it but it’s your own little masterpiece and you love it, maybe you even post some pictures of it to your private Instagram story and make a poll of who’s is the best side. You’d win it and Mason would go all pouty and give you the silent treatment but would crack not even 5 minuets later because he knows for a fact that yours was definitely the better side and he can’t be upset with you even if he was just doing it jokingly. 😂😂😂 HES LIKE A LITTLE BABY

He’d order for you without even needing to ask what you want and he guesses perfectly what you’d want to eat, as he does all the time. CAUSE HE KNOWS YOU LIKE THE BACK OF HIS HAND

You clean up from the baking whilst waiting for the food to arrive and when it does you eat it in front of the TV, watching the Grinch as your third and final Christmas movie of the day. YESSSS THE GRINCHHHH MY FAVOURITE

And when you’re ready to head up to bed Mason would disappear upstairs whilst you’re locking up, wanting to treat you a little by running a bath with all of your favourite Christmassy soaps and bath salts. He knows that a bath is your perfect way to end the day and maybe you mentioned having a bit of a headache earlier so he wants to help you fully relax. TES YES YES I NEED THIS SO BAD

i made a poll about taylor swift. it slightly made my notes a living hell for a week. heres some info i gathered from it cos i figure some people might find it interesting!

(gonna put a keep reading thing cos this might get long!)

- the post got 36k votes and 7.5k notes and really made it round every possible opinion on taylor swift there could be

- it was a lot more negative than i was expecting. i accidentally found my way onto swiftie instagram a few months ago and now my instagram algorithm thinks thats all i wanna watch so i think maybe my perception of how many people are actually are a fan of her is a bit skewed?

- that being said, in general, people were actually very reasonable and had very nuanced opinions in the notes, which was a little surprising

- however, the people who really really dont like her have absolutely zero chill

- tumblr swifties are a lot better than instagram swifties

- i should have made some options on the poll which included being completely neutral/having no opinions on her as a person, thats my bad

- a lot of people think shes hot, regardless of their opinions on her or her music

- the main reasons, roughly in order, for people disliking her are:

1. her fans

2. the private jet thing

3. the matty healy thing

4. her having a white woman victim complex

5. her being a nepo baby (something i wasnt aware of before this poll)

6. her music being overplayed at peoples places of work (which is so valid, i cant listen to cardigan without wanting to die for this very reason!)

(there were other reasons people disliked her but these are main ones)

- a lot of people said they only liked her music up until red. alternatively, quite a lot people said they have only liked her music released since red.

- i learnt about gaylors (and kaylors) through this poll. i didnt really know that was a thing. it confuses me. (shoutout to the anon i got about it, i dont agree with you and dont really get it, but you were also one of the nicest people towards me on this poll so i very much appreciate that, thank you!)

- on that topic, everyone, regardless of their opinions on taylor, seems to be annoyed by gaylors. (except the gaylors themselves).

- i got frequently (and sometimes quite aggressively) accused of being a swiftie on this poll due to the range of options on it. im not actually a swiftie, im just bad at making polls! i have very complicated opinions on her that frequently change, which is the main reason i made the poll, i wont go into detail on my thoughts on her here (nor did i on the actual poll) but im happy to explain my thoughts fully if someone asks!

people on twitter seem worried that, with Prime's multiple recent cancellations, Good Omens is at risk of getting axed too. i get where the fear is coming from but honestly? i'm not too worried about it. here's why.

if Amazon cancels GO, or decides not to renew it, they'd have shot themselves in the foot and fucked themselves right over. the show is incredibly popular, and there's absolutely no way they don't know that.

last week, the Amazon Prime account ran two polls, one on Twitter and one on Instagram, about what new seasons are on top of people's watchlists. i don't have any data from the Instagram story, since those disappear, but here's the Twitter one.

38,843 votes total, with 87% being Good Omens. that's around 33,790 votes. it's a fucking ridiculous number! that's 13,700-ish more people than the capacity of the 02 bloody Arena. it's an odd comparison but I don't know about many arenas. maybe they're not all unique voters, but my point is: it's a lot of god damn people.

nobody can say "but what if they're not looking at the fandom", because this is directly on the amazon studios account.

the official Good Omens twitter account consistently gets thousands of likes on every post they make, sometimes even getting into the 10 and 20 thousands. there's no way Amazon haven't noticed popularity like that.

many of these people (like me) may only use the service for watching GO. imagine losing that many users? even if those people still use Prime for buying things, there would be so much loss when it comes to Prime Video. and how likely do you think it'd be for fans to stop using prime video altogether in protest?

drifting away from the show and into the GO franchise as a whole, the kickstarter for the graphic novel? it's record breaking.

people love GO. the book, the show, the story, the characters... they love them all deeply, and god damnit they aren't afraid to show it. amazon would be stupid to cancel it, and they probably know that, so I don't think we need to worry.

let's not forget that there's currently a strike going on. until the studios meet their writers' and actors' very much more than fair demands, I think that very little is going to happen. support the strikers, and let's all hope they get everything that they need to live and work comfortably in their professions soon.

...of course, i could be wrong. i'm not worried, but i could be. however, i stand by it that cancelling it would be a right cock-up from amazon's end.

Early voting has officially opened across Australia, marking the beginning of a crucial fortnight that could decide the outcome of the 2025 federal election.

With housing, cost of living and climate policy dominating the national conversation, political leaders are ramping up their final pitches, while millions of Australians are already heading to the polls.

The Greens say renters and first-home buyers could determine the result. While the latest polling shows Labor holding a narrow but steady lead as the Coalition fights to claw back ground before May 3.

Who is eligible to vote early in this election?

For millions of voters, casting a ballot early, either in person or by post, is the easiest way to get their vote in. But not everyone is eligible to vote early, and there are specific rules around who can.

You can vote early if, on election day, you:

are outside the electorate where you are enrolled to vote

are more than 8km from a polling place

are travelling

are unable to leave your workplace to vote

are seriously ill, infirm or due to give birth shortly (or caring for someone who is)

are a person with disability (or caring for someone who is)

are a patient in hospital and can’t vote at the hospital

have religious beliefs that prevent you from attending a polling place

are in prison serving a sentence of less than three years or otherwise detained

are a silent elector

have a reasonable fear for your safety or wellbeing.

Many Australians will cast their vote at one of the 500 or so early voting centres. Others may apply for a postal vote — but applications close at 6pm on April 30.

Voters with low vision, or those stationed in Antarctica, can vote by phone.

Greens urge renters and first-home buyers “have the power” to make change

This election, the Greens say the power is in the hands of renters and first-home buyers.

With hundreds of early voting centres now open, Greens Leader Adam Bandt MP says this cohort has the power to shape the outcome and push for action on the housing crisis.

“Renters and first-home buyers are in the box seat this election. With early voting now open, they have the power to fix the housing crisis.

“With the major parties set to make the housing crisis even worse, we can’t keep voting for the same two parties and expecting a different result. By voting [1] Greens, we can keep Dutton out and get Labor to act.

“Nothing changes if nothing changes. If you want change this election, you have to vote for it.”

Polling suggests Labor retains lead

As early voting begins, the latest Newspoll (published by The Australian) suggests Labor remains in a narrow but consistent lead.

The national survey has Labor ahead 52–48 on a two-party preferred basis, unchanged from earlier this month.

Labor’s primary vote ticked up to 34%, while the Coalition remained steady at 35%. The Greens held firm at 12%.

Other major polls and forecasts have echoed this trend, showing Labor gaining ground as the Coalition struggles to close the gap.

With in-person early voting now underway and the window closing for postal vote applications, the pressure is on for both major parties to win over undecided voters in the final stretch.
