hi. rant about ybcpatrick at me. idk if I have any pertinent thoughts right now but I love angst so here's a thought: how much pain do you think he's in. just... constantly? like. he got sliced and diced. not just the hand, though that must be awful, but all his organs??? guy must be in agony whenever he gets enough of a breather to be aware of it

God he has to constantly be in agony. there's no way he ISNT in pain. he realistically shouldn't be alive or running around in any capacity like he is so I'm assuming there's something supernatural involved to keep him from dying. but he is definitely suffering. my personal headcanon is that while he's brainwashed he is so focused on his mission he just ignores the pain until his job is complete, which is kind of why he breaks down when he finally dies. his mission is complete. he protected the briefcase. also we do not talk about how the ybc lasts for at the very least a week and how after young volcanos none of them eat or drink water (im going to assume since they took the time to get cleaned up, Andy and pete did get something to eat or drink in between death valley and rat a tat). ESPECIALLY patrick. dude is running around for DAYS heavily almost fatally injured with no food or water. the amount of suffering he is in is probably SO severe. genuinely it's a miracle he didn't die from his injuries/condition alone in miss missing you. maybe he couldn't die until his job was complete.

in my head shiu has a wife and a little daughter and they both absolutely ADORE toji. the kid always greets him with a big grin and a hug whenever he comes over and toji always brings her something sweet – he scoops her up into his arms while letting her talk his ears off about whatever she's into at the moment and he fucking loves it. he's nodding along and asking stupid questions to make her laugh while getting comfortable.

he's always more than welcome at their place. always. it is like a second home for him in a way. and the wife really does care for him – toji has been there for both her and shiu when they've had their ups and downs, he's always ready to help them out with whatever they might need, he's ready to do errands whenever shiu has to go out of town for work and he's always ready to babysit the kid.

because they're the only family he's got.

the kid makes him cards for every occasion and holiday and toji keeps them all in a very special drawer. the wife makes sure to gift him something nice for his birthday and for christmas, no matter how much he tries to tell her that it isn't necessary, that she should just buy something for the girl instead. but she always does it anyway and toji appreciates it more than she could ever imagine.

despite looking all big and tough, he will always play whatever games the kid wants to play – he will sit down behind the miniature table and he will drink the imaginary tea like it's his job. he lets her use him like a jungle gym and he will take pride in the little bursts of laughter that spill from her whenever he picks her up and places her on his shoulder. when the wife manages to snap a few candid picture of the two of them together, she always sends them to him without him having to ask. toji doesn't really thank her for it, but she knows.

the kid feels so safe with him and it's the sweetest sight. you couldn't possibly count all the times she has fallen asleep in his arms while resting her head on his shoulder when he's not even trying to put her to sleep or anything. it's cute.

whenever they have dinners or barbecues together, toji is quick to help with everything. he picks up the groceries and he chops up the vegetables and he 'scolds' the kid when she steals a few carrots from his cutting board. him and shiu will always bicker over the meat like an old married couple and the wife finds it so amusing. the friendship the two men have makes her incredibly happy, she's so grateful that shiu has somebody like toji in his life.

they're all always there for him, even when he claims that nothing is wrong. they invite him over to eat with them because they know he might not do so properly at home by himself and when they notice the bags under his eyes grow a little darker, they make sure to invite him over even more. they care for him, they love him. they consider toji to be a part of the family, too.

This has to be one of the most heartbreaking moments in the whole trilogy. When he separated his hands like that after a beloved family member broke his heart... It's so weird to see Robotnik like this. He's always either crazy or goofy, he's rarely serious, but in this movie where he truly experiences heartbreak it made me feel so bad for him because he just wanted to be loved but he trusted the wrong person. He was speechless and for the first time he didn't know how to react. You can tell how much it hurts him to find out that he means nothing to someone he loves.

Robotnik always wanted a family but his family didn't want him. He found out how much it hurts and how much he was hurting Stone the whole time. He realized how much Stone actually loved him because Stone would never say something like "you're no Maria" to him.

(And Jim Carrey is insanely talented for this, I have to give him credit, cuz during this movie he made me laugh a lot and he also made me cry even more.)

It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe. She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.

Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too. That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3

saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my art, my lore talk, is biased. I’ve never tried to hide that I view Marika a certain way and will always develop my theory following that base assumption.

Aside from translation stuffs and pointing out in-game items, everything else I say you can look at it, agree or disagree, and move on to form your own opinions. Just because I draw stuffs doesn’t mean you get to saddle me with responsibilities about managing fandom expectations. What the hell? I’m a fan artist, I’m the last person who you should look at for “leaderism” (?) WHAT?

I can and will be a hater in my own space, like I know sometimes other artists will just post their stuffs and not engage too heavily with fandom, and for a while I did try to do that here (because I’m already a dramatic ass on twitter), that’s just not me though.

You will get art and you will get my opinions as well.
