So I checked out your stories and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!! Your 'Little Moments' chapters are all so amazingly written, unique, and well captured. I'm also going through your other stories and am now waiting eagerly for the next chapter of "Effects of War" but now I want to know more about Avaleina cause she's the only Legolas x OC I've ever liked.

• She was one of 5 elflings who had both parents die when Amon Lang fell. The same night that Legolas lost his mother.

• They come to be known as the "Orphans of Greenwood," and most grow to become the most fierce and most intimidating of Greenwoods army. Burning rage and revenge are incredibly good motivators.

• Thranduil ended up basically making a dormitory for all of them inside the Mountian, since all the elflings were too tramatuized and unwilling to be adopted to another family.

• I always thought that Thranduil was the type of father who was fully invested on all of his sons friends lives, and he has more than enough lecturing and love to go around so he kept a super close eye in them all.

• So the orphans were raised by an assortment of well meaning and over protective staff and a King.

• Anyway Legolas was super good friends with all of them, and grew up with all of them but he was particularly close to two of them. Farlen and Avaleina.

• But especially especially Avaleina

• Thranduil can keep his crown and Greenwood because these two have their own domain because they are the King & Queen of friends to lovers but slowburn af

• If you look up "Commitment Issues" in a Silvan dictionary it'll just be a drawing of Legolas. He saw and felt what losing his mother was like, and he see's everyday how much his father still hurts over missing her.

• So he decided when he was like 10 that he would never fall in love. No sir. No love for him. That was too painful, and he wanted nothing to do with it, losing friends was enough.

• If you catch only one of them doing something dumb, dangerous or against the rules then you better keep looking cause you best believe the other one is lurking nearby.

• They're absolutely ridiculous togeather sometimes cause they have so many inside jokes and energy and theyre so hecking comfortable around eachother, and they both can be really loud without meaning to be out of excitement.

• Ava knew she was in love with Legolas wwwaaayyyy before he knew he was in love with her. But she didn't say anything cause she knew him and she knew it would freak out.

• Meanwhile Thranduil and Galion were watching from a distance taking bets on how long it would take them to get togeather.

• When they did FINALLY get togeather Legolas was also the King of trying to break it off several times but then changing his mind for various reasons. (Near death experiences, his father/Galion talking him out of it, jealousy, Ava just absolutely not taking ANY of his shit, ect)

• They kept everything Super Super Secret (even from their own people.) And while Thranduil noticed the change, he never asked and they never outright told him. Occasionally, he would make passing veiled comments that he was fully aware of their secret and they never denied anything.

• They never once said "I love you," to eachother That Way until after the war.

• Because Love Is Dangerous And Bad And We Do Not Love Here.

• Instead; They would ask one another to marry them, when nobody else could hear OR "We're going to die doing this." "At least you'll finally meet my Nana."

• He made her engagment rings out of random object literally all of the time. She has a whole box fill of them.

• Sometimes ribbons, bow strings, grass blades, flower petteles, strips of tree back. Anything. Everything.

• They were both on a team called the Amarth which translates to "Doom" which was essentially the Navy Seal team of Greenwood. This made them even more disturbingly close cause TRAUAMA BONDING ANYONE

• If they're on the same patrol in the forest they usually sleep next to eachother, or one sleep while the other keeps watch. At home, she usually sneaks into his room and crawls into bed in the middle of the night so that they can sleep togeather. Cause they both sleep significantly better with the other one around.

• Legolas didn't say a single thing about her to anyone during the quest just in case little ears of the enemy overhear and tell those working with the darkness in Greenwood how important she was.

• He was terrified the entire time that she would meet the same fate as his mother. Or that she would be kidnapped and used against his father. Or worse. Kidnapped for the sake of it.

• So he didn't say anything until after he got home, and she almost punched him in the face for joining the fellowship.

• She goes to Ilithein with him but also does quite a but of traveling with him and Gimli

• Gimli adores her. Absolutely adores her.

• Not only because he pretty much legally has to love anybody Legolas does, but also because of how Legolas is whenever she's around. Like. He thought Legolas was annoyingly happy during the quest?? That's nothing compared to being reunited with your lifelong best friend after surviving a war both of you had just assumed would painfully kill the both of you, and then get to enjoy a newly peaceful word togeather the likes of which neither had ever experienced AND be publicly affectionate????

• Nothing beats that. Nothing.

• He leaves for Valinor before her because of his Sea longing, she stays until the very very last of the Greenwood elves are ready to sail. And then a bit longer than that cause she goes with the Twins to find Maglor and make him sail west with them.

• She and Legolas get married twice. Once it middle earth so all their mortal friends can be there and then once in Aman once all if their family has come back to life.

• He might as well have: "If she's on the other side of the world and the only way I can reach her is to cut the earth in half with a dull spoon, i would be there in 3 days," tatood in his face

• And she should have : "If you day or do literally one single thing to hurt him after everything he's done I'm going to hurt you until Eru himself regrets making you," in hers.

• They're the biggest fucking dorks in the WORLD who I just want to run around singing and making jokes and be togeather and I love them very much.

Personal Woe is me BS

We all have our sins. But going on Anon and telling them to message their ex is a huge dick move and you deserve the top level of Hell for that. Take it up with her for fucks sake its been 2 years and i knew you’d be back as soon as i brought that up.  Confession which isnt related to the top paragraph but someone found out.. Yes I am The American Anon. It was what i used to go by when leaving anons or compliments. Theyre still in my top 5 thanks for asking.      I do meet up with people at concerts, If tehy are a mutual and agree to meet up there. Its happened twice on Tumblr and 5 times on Insta (my god the insta crowd is wild) -also meeting up is literally just meeting up, nothing more unless well that route opens-  My ex did make me miss some concerts, pretty much just for time with her family. we visted every month, but like i said before..abusive.  Biggest concert i regret not seeing.. Probably Slayer, LOG, and Amon Amarth. IT was awhile ago so i cant remember if it was that lineup or even if they were together on the tour but i did make LOG and SLayer on their first leg with Behemoth.       Why Do i post crappy punk rock every now and then? I cant tell if youre actually hating or a huge fan, thats how they refer to themselves. Well tbh i always like Blink, but it wasnt till 2017 that i actually splurged onto them, Theyre fucking great so DEAL WITH IT.   Reason for being a college dropout...I was paying out of pocket and renting and apartment. I kept having to retake classes and one of those times was because of a “Technical error” Now that TE ill refer to it as was the first of many. PRoblems with my account TE,  Problems with grades TE. issues with payments going through and funds being accepted by the school TE. Classes not counting toward my major TE declaring my major and having figured out something was messed up so i got flagged and put on academic probation TE. going there for 3 years but figuring out that i had to get 40 classes taken ( 5 more years for a fucking Major)  They kept making shit up and all the counselors said something different (it was also found out that one of them committed a murder NOT EVEN KIDDING) So yeah after many of those “Technical errors” them taking my money and confusion I left I was done.     Lastly to the anon asking about my dad.....How long have you been following me? Last post i made about him was in 2016. To answer your question though. Yeah we finally found common ground. Sometimes the Anxiety pops up here and there and yes i still get nightmares but its rare. We had a long talk (lot of yelling) but he needed to understand where i was coming from. He didnt say it but it was obvious that he hated the fact i was growing up. It hurt him everytime i left the house in 2017. It just made me realize thats why he was so angry all the time, his two kids were growing up and i know he just hates it. I know it because i spend more time with him now. We actually spent a day together this past summer and we went sailing on some huge ass ship that was in POTC. he got me dinner and we went back to his place set some chairs in the lawn and had a couple beers. and he said “Damn Ty i enjoy this” and I did too, its honestly one of favorite memories with him. But he says shit that just tugs a heart string every time like “sucks growin up doesnt it” and he’ll tear up . Or “i remember when you were this age “and so on. Like he just Longs for the past so much. but yeah we resolved our differences. we just toss each other shit nowadays Thanks So much you guys ,i missed you lots!!!! <3

Drummer Mike Portnoy (SONS OF APOLLO, THE WINERY DOGS, METAL ALLEGIANCE) recently spoke with Josh Rundquist of That Drummer Guy. The full conversation can be streamed below. On the new METAL ALLEGIANCE album, "Volume II – Power Drunk Majesty": Mike: "After we had so much fun making the first album, we knew a second album would be inevitable. I think myself, Alex Skolnick, David Ellefson and Mark Menghi, we felt we tapped into something. The first album was more like an experiment, because we didn't know how it was going to go, but we also had all these guests. There had to have been 15, 20 other people on the album. We knew this time around, we wanted to streamline it a little bit and kind of focus on the core four. The four of us did all the writing together, and we wanted to streamline the guests — mainly leave it to singers, to give it more of a band feel. The first time around was like more of an experiment; this time around, it really felt like a concise unit between the four of us." On the album's guest vocalists: Mike: "In terms of singers, it was nice to get some new blood on this album. People like Mark Osegueda [DEATH ANGEL] and Troy Sanders [MASTODON], they've been in the family now for years, and even the first time around, some of the singers were a little bit obvious, like Randy Blythe [LAMB OF GOD], Phil Anselmo [PANTERA, DOWN] and Chuck Billy [TESTAMENT]. Those were all guys that it made so much sense to be part of the first one, but this time around, we wanted to branch out a bit more, and we got some guys like Johan [Hegg] from AMON AMARTH and Trevor [Strnad] from [THE] BLACK DAHLIA [MURDER] or Floor Jansen from NIGHTWISH. Some of these were suggestions that I wouldn't have even normally thought of, but once they were suggested and we checked them out, it added a whole new kind of element of diversity to the songs... I've always brought a metal touch to everything I do, whether it be classic rock or prog or whatever. I've always brought that metal element and that mentality, when needed, but with METAL ALLEGIANCE, I get to unleash it and just let it go full-throttle from start to finish on the entire album. To me, it's an exciting outlet that I don't normally have with my other bands... For me, it's the ultimate metal outlet. I've always had all these different projects and different bands, and they were always kind of rooted in prog or, in the case of [THE] WINERY DOGS, more hard rock and traditional rock, classic rock, but I never had a true metal outlet until METAL ALLEGIANCE. To me, it's so exciting because it's a who's-who of literally everybody in the metal world. You have members from ANTHRAX, SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, LAMB OF GOD, PANTERA, MASTODON, EXODUS, OVERKILL... the list goes on and on and on. For me, I love it. Whenever there's an opportunity to play a show with METAL ALLEGIANCE, I don't even think twice about it — I put it on my calendar, and I make sure I'm there. For me, it's a dream outlet." On the future of SONS OF APOLLO: Mike: "We're just focusing on the upcoming dates, but we've talked about it. We're hoping to get into the studio early next year. We'll see if the schedules align and everything works out, but that's the plan. I know Derek [Sherinian] and Bumblefoot have been compiling riffs and ideas and putting them in folders, and when the time comes to collaborate, we'll get in the studio and start looking at everything and jamming on everything and bringing it to life. Hopefully that will happen early next year, as we have penciled in at the moment." On the new NEAL MORSE BAND album that he recently finished recording: Mike: "Our last album, 'The Similitude Of A Dream', was really special for us. It was one of my favorite albums of my career, actually. To get back in the studio and work on the follow-up to that, the next album coming off the heels of that, it's quite a tall order for us. We spent a lot of time working on it. Normally, when Neal and I get together for an album, we usually can get the writing and arranging and drum tracking done within 10 days [to] two weeks. This time around, we actually spent almost up to a year shaping and writing and arranging this next record, so we spent more time on this album than any album we've ever done in the past. I think it's going to be worth the wait, because what we have is really special and really a worthy follow-up to what we did with 'Similitude'. I look forward to that, and we're shooting for that to be out around January or so, and the tour would start right afterwards. It was really important that we follow up 'Similitude' with something that would be just as epic. It's taken a little time to get there, but it's really special." On the status of the next FLYING COLORS album: Mike: "We're going to resume work on that in December. That will be Neal and myself's twentieth studio album together. It's something we started working on about a year and a half ago and we just never got back to work on because the schedules hadn't aligned, but we've all penciled in December to get together, finish the writing for album number three and begin the recording process. Hopefully we can have that out later 2019, fingers crossed." METAL ALLEGIANCE's second album, "Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty", will be released on September 7 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Other guest musicians on "Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty" include Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, SEPULTURA, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY), John Bush (ARMORED SAINT), Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL) and Mark Tornillo (ACCEPT). "Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty" was produced by Menghi and Skolnick while Mark Lewis of MRL Studios handled the mixing and mastering. The cover artwork was created by renowned artist Marcelo Vasco (SLAYER, MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY, HATEBREED) and Rafael Tavares.
