To be honest though, you had made a slight mistake. You assumed no one was watching you or paying you any attention. Jiyong was. Something about you made him uneasy. Again, subconsciously, he noticed no one paid you any attention, and you never laughed or spoke at work, but he still didn’t want to admit something was wrong.

Work continued as usual. A few days later, and the good mood had worn off. Things were back to normal. It was around 7 pm. You were giving GD a neck massage while he was on his phone. Everyone else was busy getting things ready for his next stage. You looked around, and without realising it, you let out a heavy sigh. Jiyong suddenly started watching you out of the corner of his eye. You just thought to yourself, “it’s okay. It’s just for a year. You have to do this.” when you heard the Manager ask, “Who on earth is Y/N?”

Yeon-Seok had finished work early that day. Once he got back to work, it was bad. It was just an endless series of events, and Manager Jang wasn’t the best at scheduling. That day in specific had been particularly bad, and more than anything else, he really wanted to see you. Yeon-Seok suddenly decided that enough was enough. He was going to go see you that day. He stopped by the florist to pick up some flowers for you. From your chat the other night, he already knew you hated roses, so he picked a bouquet of orchids and calla lilies. He picked a plain white card and wrote,

“To Y/N,

Thanks for saving for my life the other day, but I feel a little guilty for ruining your birthday. These flowers are also for your birthday. Let me make it up to you by taking you out for a meal?

YYS.”

And then he quickly walked over to the YG building.

He walked into the building, and looked around a little nervously. He knew you were too dense to understand that he was asking you out on a date. He just wanted to spend time with you. He went up to the receptionist, and said, “Hi. Could you do me a favour and pass this on to Y/N?” He put the bouquet down on the desk. The receptionist looked up and gasped when she saw it was the ‘Yoo Yeon-Seok’. She started stuttering and stammering. “Umm… Yeah…. Ahh sure. She works with GD, right? Oh wait, I’m not supposed to be asking you. Yeah, she works with GD.” And rushed off to drop it off with GD’s manager. She walked in, still blushing, embarrassed, dropped off the bouquet in the Manager’s hands and without saying another word, she left. The Manager took one look at it and asked, “Who on earth is Y/N?”

As soon as Jiyong heard that, he snapped his head back and saw the bouquet. He waited, expecting you to say something and claim it, but you just continued massaging his neck, never even bothering to turn around. There wasn’t even the slightest change of expression on your face. Suddenly, he was hit with a burning sense of shame. Imagine having to go and claim a bouquet after all your colleagues successfully announced that there is no one with that name working here, and it must have been a prank. Imagine having to go and take that ‘prank’ and tell them, for the millionth time, that your name is Y/N. No one should have to go through that kind of humiliation. Jiyong could no longer ignore what he already knew. He finally accepted that he, among many others, had made work a nightmare for you. He felt even worse knowing that no one at work remembered your birthday.  Not having the guts to look up, he asked the Manager to leave the flowers on the table in front of him. When every one moved on from the flower spectacle, he picked up the bouquet and read the card on it. “It’s yours.” You still didn’t look up, and said,” I know.” He swallowed hard, and said, “I’m sorry about how they didn’t know your name. Here, take it.” And handed it to you. Without any hint of anger or malice in your voice, but instead, with genuine surprise, you asked, “Why are you sorry? It’s like this every day anyway.” Jiyong felt even worse after hearing that. He just realised how normal it had become for you. He had no words for a situation like that. He got up, put the bouquet in your arms, and said, “Go. Leave early today and go eat with him.” You looked up at him in surprise. Still unable to look you in the eye, he said, “Go. I’ll tell the Manager that I sent you home early. I’ll text you when you have to report tomorrow.”

You slowly walked out, still a little confused about what had just happened, but just shrugged it off. Looking at the flowers in your hand, you smiled. Glancing up, you saw a nervous Yeon-Seok pacing in the lobby with his back to you. As you got closer to him, you could hear him muttering to himself. “Ahhhhhhh. Maybe I shouldn’t have come. She’s probably busy with work. She works late often, doesn’t she? Oh shit. Did I get her in to trouble?” you cut him short by lightly hitting his arm with the bouquet, and said,” No, you didn’t get me in trouble. You actually got me out of work early, though you didn’t have to be so dramatic about it. What “saved your life”?” he just stared at you with a stunned expression for a few seconds, and then he snapped back to normal and became whiny. “Why’d you take so long? I thought you were going to ignore me and make me wait here.” You laughed. “It took ages because they don’t know my name. they weren’t able to figure out who Y/N is, and thought it was a prank.” Yeon-Seok’s smile left his face. He genuinely thought you were joking about that. His heart went out to you, and he looked down at your figure to make sure you were okay. You seemed fine, but he decided to try and cheer you up a little. He put his arm around your shoulders and said, “Okay then. You have two options. Either we can go to a fancy restaurant where I won’t have to wear some shady disguise, or we can go to a small restaurant nearby, where you’ll have the honour of seeing me in disguise.” You held the hand he had draped over you, looked up at him, eyes glinting with laughter, and said, “you’re a bigger idiot than I thought if you don’t know which one I’ll choose.”

she’s responsible and even without the leader label she definitely acts on it whenever something important comes up and she makes sure that the girls are all in check. yunmi doesn’t fancy calling herself a leader though,  she just really wants to keep things nice and ordely. 

chaotic.  she has a lot of inner issues that’s completely left unopened and she doesn’t know how to open up about them so yunmi always results to joking about stuff she shouldn’t really joke about. 

as a child,  yunmi always thought that she was going to get the love she always wanted from her parents.  she’s a charming girl,  adored by a lot of people too,  and it made her think she’s never going to run short of it. 

but then her mother left and her dad closed off and...  well that’s the start of her turning into someone else beneath the charming and bubbly exterior.

at twelve,  she became a trainee for another company,  yg to be more specific.  however,  yunmi had been tossed to the side,  always reminded that her other trainees are prettier,  more experienced,  and therefore would be most likely to debut before her.  this was the start of yunmi’s inferiority complex and self-esteem issues that never really went away.

she stuck to yg though,  but the longer she was there the longer her issues started to deepen.  she never had a proper conversation with her dad anymore,  only talking to him about bleak and pointless things and never the serious struggles of being a trainee.  

the stress got so bad that she started stress-eating,  and throwing up everything she ate right after because she couldn’t ruin her body.  she knows just how fucked up she is on the inside,  hence the desperation to keep herself looking the best from the outside. 

she had been fifteen when she started underage drinking,  it became a habit,  a bad one so to speak.  she’d go out with the older trainees to chill bars who never asked about her age and she would drink until she’s drunk enough to pass out.  she discovered cigarettes a year later too.

at 18,  she left yg after being in a new girl group roster for too many times and always never getting to debut.  she came to join so!ar as a new trainee,  but not a new person.  she still has her old habits from before. 

when she came to so!ar,  she’s already a top trainee.  the six years she spent in yg definitely paid off because she’s up to par with most of the debuted idols in her new company.  

her habits are still around though,  despite the validation from fans and her groupmates.  she’s just hiding them that well due to her idol status.
