Mute Tobirama AU
Peace happens the way it should, (with Izuna living after Hashirama saves him) and all through peace talks Tobirama never speaks a word.
The Uchiha notice him using hand signs, but they all just assume that's so they can speak without the Uchiha knowing what they are saying. They are doing the same so it's a logical conclusion.
But now it's a year into peace and it finally occurs to Madara and Izuna that they have NEVER heard Tobirama speak.
Once they reach this conclusion they start paying attention and they realize there is always a Senju around him that will talk for him.
His secretary sits at a desk in his office though right by the door instead of back by the window and she will respond to any questions being asked. And if she doesn't have the answer she will tell them to come back later when Tobirama has time.
Touka, Hashirama or Mito are almost always with him when he is away from his desk.
And if he is walking around in the village and someone asks him something a random Senju will suddenly be there answering whatever is asked.
When he is given a kind greeting he will smile and nod. But never speak.
And he never goes on a mission with anyone but a Senju, if he has a partner that is.
Everyone has always assumed he was just kind of stuck up, or possibly very very awkward in a social situation. No one would call him shy of course. But they really don't have a better word, so they go with awkward.
But now Madara and Izuna know. They know it's more than shy, more than awkward.
And they want answers!
So Izuna does whatever ration person would do. Shows up unannounced at their home and ambushes Tobirama. Starts with accusations of him being defective, or a liar, or too full of himself and racists to talk to people outside his clan.
In full view of Tobirama's protective sister in law.
Mito was not pleased.
Izuna opens his mouth again about to say something else unadvisable when Mito unleashes a wave of killing intent never before seen from her.
Madara was chatting with Hashirama in his office when they feel it.
Both of them shoot up and head straight to Hashirama's home.
Where they witness Tobirama holding Mito back from murdering Izuna, whose face is now sporting a huge shiner.
Mito is spitting mad. Swearing at Izuna with words that should never be repeated.
Madara's and Hashirama's jaws drop at the vile words she is spewing.
Tobirama stomps his foot twice and that spurs Hashirama into action and he takes over calming Mito.
Madara looks down at Izuna who hasn't gotten up from the floor.
"What did you do??"
"I may have, possibly called Tobirama defective for refusing to speak."
Madara slaps a hand to his face. "What is wrong with you?"
"I wanted to force him to tell the truth, to actually respond!"
Hashirama interjects at this point, "Tobirama is mute. How did you not realize that?"
All three Senju look legitimately confused.
"How would we know that? You say that like it's common knowledge!"
Tobirama makes a few signs to Hashirama who nods back.
"It has never been a secret. He has a secretary who does all his talking for him. He seriously has someone with him whenever shopping! It's not as if we were hiding it!"
"Trust me when I say this. But NO ONE knows that."
And they discover the next day that the Uchiha were in fact correct. A year after the village was built and not a single member of any of the clans knew Tobirama was mute.
They all, like the Uchiha, mostly just thought he was rude.
Once the cat is out of the bag all the Shinobi decide they need to be able to speak with Tobirama and learn to sign so they can understand him.
Which leads to opportunities for people who are deaf in the village. They finally have an easy way to communicate with everyone in the village.
Once Madara learns to communicate with Tobirama he finds that he enjoys the other man's company. And surprisingly that he has a great sense of humor.
A year after the discovery Madara works up the courage to ask Tobirama out to dinner, just the two of them.
Once they have finished eating Madara slides a box across the table to Tobirama.
Inside is the most beautiful hunting knife Tobirama has ever seen. When he looks up Madara signs to him "may I court you?"
Tobirama blushes a deep red and nods with a shy smile.

for the reverse trope writing promts!!!
Instead of fake dating, everyone is convinced that you aren’t actually dating PLEASE
oh man, i think it works best as a crack au, like-
it starts when they're kids. that first time at the riverbank, when their brothers become enemies. They both have a sort of thought, staring eachother down. Something like, he's pretty. Then they clash blades, albeit briefly, and they think, he's strong.
So they go home. and Izuna, like the good kid he is, asks Tajima about it. If Madara still tried to kill that ugly senju guy, it wouldn't matter how he felt about him right? None of the other stuff mattered, as long as he always tried to kill him when a battle was called?
Tajima assumes this is izuna trying to be lenient to his older brother. It's obvious how devestated madara was over the loss of his friendship, clearly Izuna is just trying to wrap his head around the situation. So he agrees without argument or specification- yes, Izuna, so long as madara uses his full abilities to try and kill hashirama in battle, it's okay that he's got a lot of feelings about the boy.
Cool! Izuna says, and walks away, about to make an astounding number of decisions based off that response.
Tobirama, meanwhile, is having no such talks with butsuma or hashirama. Butsuma is mad that he didn't manage to kill izuna, and hashirama is mad that he tattled, so tobirama is not talking to anyone. he's spending a lot of his time on the outskirts of their territory to specifically avoid any talking, actually.
Which is why izuna is able to find him, and in the midst of their battle, lay out his arguement. Something akin to "Stop trying to kill me right now, save that for the official battles". Izuna's belief that his dad is fine with him dating Tobirama as long as they try to kill eachother during battle is nonsensical to Tobirama, but so are the Uchiha as a whole. and Izuna is pretty, and strong, and not even mad at him!
so they start dating. And they don't hide it.
Especially not Izuna. he's gotten permission, after all. So he runs around telling all the uchiha about his dates, and complimenting tobirama, and nobody thinks anything of it. Izuna apparently has lots of boyfriends out-clan; that's practical, no chance of pregnancy there! Izuna likes to make a lot of sarcastic comments about his lifelong rival's attractiveness and intelligence- insults the man certainly deserves. The idea he could be serious, or that those dates he's talking about are with Tobirama, never crosses anyone's mind.
Tobirama keeps his romance talk to conversations with Hashirama. Mostly it's him saying things like "you act like trying to kill madara is so difficult, as if i don't try and kill my beloved boyfriend every battle. get it together, loser." Hashirama, understandably, does not take it seriously. He assumes it's some bizarre argument tactic, not Tobirama's genuine situation.
Tobirama does succeed in stabbing Izuna to near-death like in canon; Hashirama, luckily, is able to save him; this nearly successful murder does nothing to dampen their relationship.
It takes them a little while to adjust to their new normal, with no murder attempts and only dating happening. eventually they start to talk about marriage. Everyone assumes they mean to other people. arranged marriages, perhaps, for the sake of their clans? Their big brothers hope they know they would never force them into something like that. matrimony can wait until they have a person they love and want to spend the rest of their lives with.
their claims that they already do go ignored. People start trying to date them- the marriage talks meant they're open to that, right? Wrong. They get treated as the unintentional attempt at mistressing/cuckolding they are, with a door slammed in their face.
eventually tobirama and izuna give up on anybody accepting their relationship (They sent out invitations to their wedding, which were treated as a ridiculous prank). they get married quietly and spend the rest of their lives living together, which everyone around them mourns as tragic lifelong bachelorhood. they must've been so marred by war that they never found place for romantic love in their hearts, how sad :( their shared grave goes unquestioned. tobirama was all about good finances for the village, it was probably a matter of practicality.
#sakura ships them when reading her konoha history textbook and everybody thinks shes crazy for it#tobiizu

Get Over it |Madara Uchiha X Reader| HC

Summary: You're the Hokage's assistant just trying to do your job.
Warning: Fem pronouns. Madara is an asshole.
Masterlist Ko-fi
- - - - -
Hashirama was definitely behind you and Madara meeting.
Anytime he needed something delivered to the Uchiha compound, he sent you- his cute little assistant.
Despite the fact that Madara was at the Hokage's office almost daily, you still found yourself making a trip to the compound every evening.
Madara was always rude, asking you why you were bothering him despite already knowing. He'd have you leave whatever it is was you had brought on his desk and shoo you away.
Today, he was a little moodier than usual. Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe he was just fed up with you, who knows.
When you knocked on his office door and slid in, he immediately started yelling.
"Must you bother me every day, woman?"
"It's Hokage's orders, Madara-sama."
"Then ignore them. I'm tired of you interrupting me every day."
"I'm afraid I cannot-"
"You can and will. I am Madara Uchiha, head of the Uchiha clan and I order you to-"
"Well, Mr. Madara Uchiha, head of the Uchiha clan, I don't answer to you. I'm afraid you'll just have to take it up with Hashirama or get over it."
And with that you left his office, shutting the door a bit harder behind you than you usually would.
To say Madara was stunned would be an understatement.
Was he just belittled by a civilian woman?
He wouldn't stand for this.
So he immediately made his way to the Hokage building to confront his dear friend about his unruly assistant.
Hashirama just laughed at him, and that made Madara all the more sour.
"Keep your people in check, Hashirama."
"Why? Are you threatened by her? Can't handle being yelled at?"
He stormed out after Tobirama started snickering at him.
The next day, he anxiously waited for your arrival. He'd been stewing over your encounter from the previous day and it wss fueling the fire in his belly.
So when he heard your usual knocks, he stood up and made himself as big as possible, like a bear.
You walked in, unphased by his damming aura, handed him a single scroll, and turned to leave.
He moved in front of the door to stop you from leaving, not satisfied by how this encounter was going.
"You will speak to me with respect from now on. I do not tolerate such behavior."
"Yeah, I still don't answer to you. My job is to be amicable, not a kiss ass. So again, take it up with Hashirama, or get over it."
You put your hand on his arm and gently moved him out of the way of the door. He allowed this, for whatever reason, and just watched as you made your way out.
Now you'd definitely caught his interest.
It's not that he liked being talked down to, it that he loved being challenged.
For the next few weeks, he allowed you to do your job without issue. He'd just stare at you as you came in, delivered whatever stupid thing Hashirma had sent, and left.
That is until today, when you had shown up several hours later than usual. It was dark out, and you were visibly tired.
"You're late."
"My apologies, Madara-sama. It was busier than usual today."
You handed him the envelope and turned to leave, ready to finally be done with the day.
You noticed Madara get up and move alongside you, but didn't pay much mind. It was entirely possible he was just making his way home as well.
Until you'd arrived at the gates of the compound, he was still at your side.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm escorting you home."
"Um, okay? May I ask why?"
"Hashirama is a fool for allowing you to wonder the village at night unaccompanied. I feel I must make up for his stupidity and ensure you get home safely."
You just nodded. It was honestly a relief.
The office had been overwhelmed today because of rogue shinobi reports in the area. Having Madara with you basically guaranteed you'd have a safe trip, so you didn't argue with him any further.
The next few days went similarly.
A cluster of reports and actual captured rogues had kept you up to your neck with work until odd hours of the night.
After the first few instances of you showing up late, Madara had taken it upon himself to meet you at the Hokage's tower. You were thankful, with for the relief from walking all the way to the compound and also to have your own personal guard.
He kept doing this even after things had settled down, and before he knew it, he'd grown quite fond of your presence.
Your nightly walks had turned more casual and became more frequent outside of your working hours.
Over time he'd opened up to you and that's when the relationship really blossomed.
He was torn between his traditional values and his aversion to emotions, but eventually, he caved and asked to court you.
Obviously, you said yes, and so started the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the unlikely man.

I can request Madara and Izuna to be attracted to Tobirama Senju's fiancée (looking at the Senju clan information, you can choose the fiancée. T/n: you can make her from Senju or Uzumaki clan. Choose the one you want. I love drama), but she only has eyes for Tobirama. As the Uchiha clan and Senju clan continue to negotiate to found the village, T/n ends up sharing her concerns with Hashirama and putting distance with Madara and Izuna. She's not a girl to let them cross her boundaries.
Got it

The talks were long.
Exhausting.
The air thick with centuries of blood and unspoken suspicion.
And yet, amid all of it—(Y/N) stood as a quiet constant at Tobirama’s side.
Observant. Composed.
Unmoving in her convictions.
Madara noticed first.
The way she stood just slightly in front of Tobirama whenever voices rose.
The way her fingers curled against the fabric of her sleeve when she disagreed but waited to speak.
She wasn’t loud, nor unkind.
But she didn’t flinch.
-She has a fire in her, even without Sharingan,- he muttered once, half to Izuna, half to himself.
Izuna had noticed her even earlier.
Not just her beauty, but the stubborn clarity in her gaze—the kind that didn’t shy away from his.
When he teased, she didn’t blush.
When he flirted lightly across the negotiation table, she simply blinked. -If you’re finished posturing, Uchiha-san, we have real work to discuss.-
A pause.
Silence.
Then she’d smiled—polite, thin-lipped, impenetrable.
He was smitten.
They both were.
Quietly.
In their own dangerous, inconvenient ways.
But she never gave them anything.
//
In the evenings, when talks paused and warriors wandered freely, (Y/N) would sometimes walk the boundary between the Senju camp and the old Uchiha outposts.
She said it helped her think.
That was when they tried.
Madara approached with questions.
Tense, clipped conversation about policy, trying to draw her into something deeper.
-You’re sharp. Smarter than the ones he usually surrounds himself with,- he said once, watching her from the side.
-That’s because I’m not surrounding him,- she answered softly. -I stand with him.-
Izuna tried too—warmer, easier.
He asked about her past. Her interests. Smiling in that dangerous way that made most people look twice.
She never blushed. Never lingered.
-You don’t scare easy, do you?- he asked once, after she told him quite clearly to stop calling her little dove.”
-Not unless I’m cornered. And I don’t stay cornered long.
Her tone was not unkind.
But it was final.
//
Eventually, she found herself walking beside Hashirama, beneath a grove of trees heavy with green and silence.
She confided in him because he felt safe—earnest in a way his brother never was.
-They’re both testing me. Watching. I can feel it. But I gave my word to Tobirama. I’m not some prize between clans.
-You’re not,- Hashirama agreed immediately, voice soft.
-Then let them know it.
She didn’t ask for protection.
She didn’t need him to intervene.
But from that day forward, he watched closely.
Not for her sake—but because he knew how men with power could become careless with the space women refused to give them.
//
Madara backed off first. Quietly. Without apology.
Not because he feared Tobirama—but because he respected (Y/N)’s silence more than any rejection.
Izuna, too, eventually withdrew—though not without a wistful smirk the next time their eyes met.
-You’re still the first person to ever make me retreat,- he murmured.
She didn’t smile.
-Then take the lesson with you.

I can request madara, Izuna and also Itachi and shisui are in love with a member of the uzumaki clan of an incomparable beauty with amazing red hair and very intense blue eyes, she is a very tall woman with a curvy body, with well-worked thighs an inhuman flexibility, she has the nickname red oni for her combat prowess, I am a fan of the pairing of both clans I also like otsutsuki
Itachi and Shisui are making their debut in my blog! Hope I did a good job at presenting these two<3<3<3 Let me know if you want more cute requests like this anon. Enjoy reading<3<3
༊*·˚Characters mentioned: Madara Uchiha, Izuna Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha ༊*·˚
Madara
He has heard the nickname "Red Oni" from his soldiers for a long time, which made his curiosity grow. He wanted to meet that man and have a fight with him. After all nothing excites him more than a good fight.
His surprise was immense when he found out that Red Oni was not a man...but a woman instead. And a very pretty one to add. Her long red hair symbolized her nickname perfectly. Madara did not like Uzumakis, but this time he eager to learn more about her.
He could tell she was a wise and powerful woman, her speech carried drops of wisdom and class, something that Madara loves in woman.
"How about we have a friendly fight?" his suggestion was thrilling for both of them and of course they both agreed. Both shinobis loved a good fight and no way would they skip such an opportunity which comes maybe once in a lifetime.
Their fight was long and tiring, with neither of them wanting to give up. Madara could not help but notice how agile her movements were and how many strong techniques she had. For him it was a relatively new thing to see woman being able to fight with him so long.
In the end, Hashirama and Mito were the ones who seperated them because both did not want to give up. Talk about being hard headed.
The more they talked, the more Madara fell in love with her, without even realising. He knew that he wanted his wife to be strong and able to protect herself, and his Uzumaki friend was a perfect candidate for his wife. Of course he took his time and invited her to many dates before asking her hand in marriage.
Izuna
Izuna, being the cinnamon roll he is, was actually very surprised when he met the Uzumaki woman. He would not admit it loud, but he loved how her hair was red and long, and it corresponded to her nickname perfectly. He found it too cute even.
In the battlefield, he would always catch himself get mesmerised by her and her moves, how fast and strong she was. Women usually were not allowed to participate in wars, but she was strong and Izuna felt sort of proud. She was breaking the traditions after all and setting an example for other strong women.
When they were able to sign a peace treaty with the Uzumakis and Senjus, Izuna was roaming around, trying to find a way to talk with her. She was looking more beautiful than ever and he was eager to strike some conversation with her.
Luckily for him, she also wanted to talk with. Not noticing Izuna in the battlefield is impossible due to his swift attacks and handsome features. They both were able to share some things between them, not noticing how time flew by.
Izuna would later on make unannounced visits to her new house in the village. The Uzumaki beauty didn't mind because deep in her heart she wanted to see him as often as possible. Villagers, seeing them together could not help but ship them, saying how adorable and matching they are. Both are like oceans, calm but dangerous when needed.
Their dates were mostly planned by Izuna. He loved making her feel special and would gift her various gifts to bring a smile to her face. A handmade thing to an expensive jewellry: Izuna was doing it all to show her his feelings.
Their interactions went on for a year, with now even their families asking what the future steps are for them. Izuna knew he made all the right choices that would secure a yes from her. The ring he also ordered was ready and there was nothing holding him back.
His proposal, which he planned very long for, was a success as he was now officially engaged to her and few months later would be their wedding. A wedding that maybe the whole village was waiting for.
Shisui
Now for this guy, the first thing that caught his eye as the red hair. Shisui is the type of person who loves seeing rare features and the red hair is definitely something new for him.
He later on learns about her clan, and their special abilities. Shisui is the type of man who is intrigued by new knowledge and he spends some time learning about the clan before talking with her.
He approaches her casually, striking a conversation and throwing few compliments here and there. Later on he makes it into a habit to compliment her hair and skills.
He is of course intrigued by her famous combat skills, but he isn't looking forward to seeing her fight or being in combat with her. The reason is, Shisui is a "gentleman" and he does not want to fight with a woman just to make sure she has good abilities. Instead, he fully believes her and always points out her strength to his friends and comrades.
His gentle nature makes the Uzumaki woman fall in love with him slowly. Shisui liked her already, but he wanted to take things slow and give her time to fall in love with him. He would not be angry if she didnt return his feelings, but he is VERY happy they share the same feelings for each other.
He would organise very cute dates for them. Picnic, stargazing, shopping dates, maybe even simple walking in the forest or flower fields. He wold gather beautiful flowers and gift them to her. Even if they are not in the flower field, where he can get the flowers himself, he will at least buy a beautiful bouquet for each date.
He makes sure to show his love and appreciation for her every chance he gets, which makes him more attractive in her eyes.
Itachi
As a history nerd, Itachi knows the Uzumaki clan and he is sort of surprised that there are still members of the clan as they have been massacred.
For this man, he does not have the courage to approach and talk with her. Itachi likes following her through shadows, learning more about her that way. It helps him evade any heartbreak he may encounter.
Little did he know, the Uzumaki woman knew about him following her long ago. She kept playing his game, waiting patiently when he will stop. Of course he didnt and she had to take matters into her own hand. During on of his regular following sessions, she took him by surprises with appearing behind him. "Isn't it time for you to talk to me instead of stalking me?"
Itachi was embarrassed of course, but he liked how fast she was and how she was aware of him stalking her all this time. Their first conversation would lead to a beautiful romance blooming between them.
They LOVE training together. As representatives of powerful clans and both having great techniques, it was easy to practice their skills together. They both helped each other to become stronger, with their feelings growing along their powers.
They were spending so much time together that their friends and some family members would tease them every time they had to leave the house. "Going to meet the mysterious Uchiha?" or "On your way to meet the red haired Oni?" comments were now asked by their families on daily basis. They could not debunk those questions of course, so they both would just silently leave the house.
Only after years of "friendship" would these two start dating. And the person who would confess their feelings first would definitely not be Itachi. Despite this, he was more than glad to get the chance to be romantic with the red haired beauty and he immediately asked her on a formal date.
Cute dates and meaningful conversations would accompany both of them everyday, turning their relationship more like a very deep spiritual connection, which they both enjoyed.

yo recently I heard that Naruto is the one who said "Usuratonkachi" to Sasuke first when they were little in school.
I assume this was added later on in the story, but if Naruto basically coined it first and Sasuke picked it up later, that would add extra cuteness to their bond
but since you can read the original jp script for the manga, I figured you might be able to check on the validity of that in the manga.
I don't quite know if it's filler for the anime or not~
thanks and sorry for taking up your time
It was in ch. 538 I've already talked about it here , here , and here

In the anime it was in ep. 277
On the first day they fought at the academy, the words Naruto said to him, ``Usuratonkachi''... maybe those words had a surprisingly strong impact on Sasuke. To begin with, Sasuke has nothing to do with the image of "Usuratonkachi". All the time the fans screamed "Sasuke is so cool/Sasuke is so awesome", Naruto was the first person to call Sasuke "usuratonkachi" and directly swears at him. He listened intently to the nonsense Naruto spewed out and began to make it his own.[it shows that Sasuke remembered that encounter very well]. We all know how Sasuke observed Naruto since childhood and he started thinking/worrying about him a lot.

During their first encounter, Naruto provoked Sasuke by saying "Usuratonkachi". Their match ended when Sasuke pushed Naruto down and raised his fist.

And without making any sign of reconciliation with each other.

Sasuke left the village, and Naruto, who chases him desperately finally catches up with him in the Valley of the End. The two of them standing face to face in the Valley of the End... And Sasuke greets Naruto with "usuratonkachi"

When Naruto says that the others are risking their lives for him...Sasuke sarcastically said, "What a (pointless) effort" or "you're working so hard for nothing." It provoked Naruto, and made him jump at him and raise his fist... and hit him. (This is the opposite of what happened on their first meeting)

What's really interesting is that the place they chose to part ways was on top of a stone statue of Madara and Hashirama with the "Seal of Confrontation". Sasuke &Naruto only did the "Seal of Confrontation", but what they really wanted was:

Because of their ego's they couldn't do the sign before. They always wanted to be friends, even if they couldn't admit it out loud. Both admired and liked each other. But they couldn't accept and come to terms with how they felt inside.
He couldn't kill Naruto….he even got chances to do that… but it was something he couldn't do. After the Vote 1 fight, Sasuke had to sealed the word ``Usuratonkachi'' for a long time. Because, over the time "Usuratonkachi'' gradually became a word that acknowledge the existence of Naruto. And the word completely acknowledging "Naruto's competitive nature''
As for Vote 2, I've talked about it here and here

A long time ago, Naruto gave Sasuke the Usuratonkachi as a ``Sign of Confrontation,'' but Sasuke gave it back to Naruto as a ``Sign of Reconciliation". This final battle between Naruto and Sasuke is also a battle in which Sasuke accepts and acknowledges his own weakness (his desire to connect with Naruto).

Okay so I'm not the only Madara BPD truther? I've never seen anyone else talk about this yet + he's my comfort BPD headcanon so I got a little giddy seeing your post. I'd love to see some of your reasoning because I only have one reason and it's "because he just gives off that energy".
(I PROMISE I'll answer all asks but I also know anons don't get notified when you answer them and I don't want anyone to frantically check my blog cause that's really sad)
Per usual I respond under cut bc I don't like for my posts to be long
I'm so glad that other people came to a similar conclusion as me, and I'm very very happy this hc is comforting to you! (whether you have BPD or not). I wholeheartedly agree with "the vibes" reasoning, because, yeah, but also I will put up some examples. Keep in mind that I am not a trained professional and while I try my best for my research to be thorough, I might be making some mistakes:
The first big symptom on any BPD list I've seen is fear of abandonment. Living in the times of war and constant uncertainty it's only natural that Madara was already at a higher risk of developing a fear of abandonment: he lost his siblings rapidly, and we can only assume he also lost his mother and potential friends to the war. He could've grown up with an outlook of "I must make the most out of this relationship NOW, until it's too late". While he surely feared abandonment due to death, I believe he also can have issues with the idea of people abandoning him by choice (more on that later). This could later evolve into possessiveness and jealousy (say, for example, how Madara treats and refers to Hashirama during 4th Shinobi War: he really sees Hashirama as his and wants him all for himself).
Speaking of possessiveness: not to quite Tobirama of all people, but I really fuck with the idea of Madara's love and hate being very intense. People with BPD can seem like they are love-bombing and stifling with how "obsessed" they can get about their loved ones, which connects to the problems with self-regulation and experiencing emotions at a heightened level. We have some examples of how... intense... Madara can get, and how his decisions are directly influenced by his emotions. He decided to completely give up on the village, which was partially his dream, one he seemed to care for deeply and that he sacrificed a lot for, because he felt rejected and abandoned (not even touching the prophecy shit).
Big thing is also risky and impulsive behavior: this can be a bit skewed on account of being a shinobi and therefore engaging in risky behavior on daily, but Madara just seems especially impulsive (compared to more calculating and cold characters, just like aforementioned Tobirama, or, idk, Kakashi). He feels particularly unstable, is what I'm trying to say. He's temperamental, and definitely quick to anger and impulsivity, I mean, this man's political moves quite directly lead to the First Fucking Shinobi War. Bro.
Also, history of unstable relationships, episodes of paranoia, shifting goals and values, episodes of depersonalization, rapid changes in self-image (seeing yourself as evil and then as perfect and evil again and so on): as I said I'm not even touching the prophecy bullshit bc I personally don't like it, but I am kind of knowingly nodding towards it rn
I think those are the big ones? I'm trying to be pretty overall, but I do have more specific and more individualistic headcanons when it comes to his BPD (bc ofc everyone's experience is different and I don't want to just check out the big boxes without weaving in some more specific personal stories and all)

hey so I wanna talk about something that really weirds me out and I hope im not the only one who finds it gross as fuck like genuinely unsettling it’s about how people interpret this one scene in the most unserious surface lv way possible like ha ha funny goofy whatever but it’s actually not that at all and the fact that it keeps getting watered down like that makes me roll my eyes each time

so first off it’s filler like it never happened in the manga so either it wasn’t meant to be taken that deep or it was just there to flesh out hashirama’s pov a bit more like how he always saw madara as kind at heart and how the villagers were just constantly on edge around him super biased too and the scene literally takes place before hashirama even suggested madara as hokage so it tracks honestly it makes sense in that timeline
now the real problem is how most posts and tiktoks I’ve seen about it are people acting like it’s some cute or funny moment like oh look at the kid’s reaction lol but literally every comment section just spirals into a madara attractiveness debate LIKE HUH ??? how did we even get here and it’s not even subtle like people deadass using that scene as “proof” he was canonically ugly or wtv which is so corny like beauty’s subjective and why are we even having that convo to begin with and worse why are we using that scene of all things for it when the whole message behind it was literally something else entirely
also like why do yall want a grown man with hairy ass balls to be seen as attractive to a literal 6yo and vice versa why do you need a child to visually find a 30 something year old man fine just so we can collectively agree he looks good omg??
like maybe it would make more sense if she was a teen 13 14 or whatever since media always got them drooling over some older charismatic hero type even tho that trope is tired as hell too btw but in this case the girl looks like she just learned how to stand without tripping over her own toes😭 it’s weird not sorry
also like I get it hashirama’s the more friendly looking one all smiles and charm so yeah maybe that’s why she was more at ease but have we actually considered that maybe just maybe the issue wasn’t madara’s so-called lack of attractiveness like maybe that wasn’t the point at all maybe she was scared bc of what tobirama literally just said about how the villagers were being fed all these beliefs about the uchiha and now here she is face to face with the head of that clan like ofc she panicked she was probably already prejudiced without even knowing it herself

and even if she didn’t know who he was like let’s say she was just some random uneducated kid she could’ve still been intimidated either way?? like madara canonically has a stern face which also≠ ugly it’s just how he looks and kids literally get scared when adults pull that cold stoic expression like they panic over the expressionless faces not the attractiveness 😭 and honestly that’s the only sane interpretation to have here like jumping straight to “the baby didn’t find him attractive is so weird actually
like pull that stern expression to a kid and let’s see their reaction

Can you write a madatobi fic in which Madara is mafia boss ( there are literally only three fics 😭). And hashirama is his blood rival and tobirama is doctor pleaseeeee. Sorry if it sounds cringe 😭
1. Never apologize for cringe my sweet blossom 2. The way. The way I had to send this to my co conspirators (my friends) immediately because I have talked about this at lengths with them. There is a Mafia au in my drafts as we speak.
I did not have Tobirama as a doctor but I fuck with the idea. Can see him digging out a bullet hole with a pair of pliers and no anesthesia and a gun pointed at his head. Man performs well under pressure.
I think there will come a day where I will write this fic but I just have too many wips rn and not enough time 😪. Having said that this was kinda what it was/is gonna be:
1930’s settings - I’m talking speakesies. I’m talking prohibition baby. Have you seen some like it hot? That’s what kinda inspired this whole thing I fucking love that movie it’s so funny (there will be no crossdressing in this one shot but more the setting and also never say never)
Uchiha vs Senju as rival mobs that had been fighting over territory, control of the city, resources for years. Recently it’s been more of a Cold War situation. A very shakily agreed on truce by the two heads
Madara is of course head of the Uchiha syndicate, Hashirama as Don of the Senju family. There’s history there and they have been trying to move the two families to cooperate, though not entirely successfully so far (whaaaat who would’ve thought)
Izuna, Hikaku and Touka are all involved. Mob wife Mito is very dear to me too. She handles all the ‘connections’ with political figures that the Senju have (corruption yay!!!)
Tobirama as the main strategist. Brutal efficiency, burdened by guilt - murder will do that to you
Story starts with the funeral of a Senju associate who was murdered on Uchiha grounds
Tensions escalate, hits are attempted, both families are accusing each other of braking the “truce”.
A meeting is arranged between them. The Senju and Uchiha realize there is a leak (🐀). Madara and Tobirama are forced to work together to uncover the mole.
Shit happens. Run ins with the police, other families, a lot of arguing, some self sacrificing along the way. Whaaaat we are forced to go into this dark alleyway and be really quiet and pressed up against each other so no one notices us that’s crazy!! And. So on. (the fic is going to be explicit so I’m sure we can all figure out how this goes.)
I think a lot of times with mafia or mob aus people tend to shy away from portraying the characters as “bad” or even morally gray. Which if they’re involved in the mob - yk there’s no dancing around all the blood on their hands. I think that’s why at times it’s seen as “cringe” rather than the very real very gritty thing it can be. So just to clarify I will not be pulling any punches.
Also. I know what people read mafia aus for. I used to read and write kidnapped by one direction fics when I was 12 im intimately familiar. Having said that I think there is a way to have all the possessive tropes you want without making one side of the pairing some damsel in distress who needs to be protected and swept away. Trust me when I say that it will be a cold day in hell before I make Tobers incapable of holding his own. So yes it’s a cow farm there’s gonna be cows outside but no one is being infantilized.
This has spiraled slightly but yes Anon I can and will likely write a mafia au sometime in the future haha.

Blinded AU
I read a story where Madara (or maybe it was Izuna? Idk I'm gonna say Madara) and Tobirama are captured by bloodline thieves and Tobirama convinces them he has the Sharingan and they take his eyes before Madara's. They end up escaping, I think, but Tobirama is permanently blinded.
I wanna dig in to after that.
Tobirama is an amazingly gifted sensor. But he's never used it for anything other than people. So he is blind, blind.
He can't get around without help.
He can't help with administration any more. He can't write his own reports.
He finds a way to be useful by having someone record things for him when it comes to work, he is still able to help found an academy, helps come up with interview questions for those wanting to apply to be a teacher. He helps develop a curriculum.
But he just feels like a burden.
He requires someone assigned to help him be useful at work, and he can't even do all the work he used to.
He's had to completely give up his jutsu and seal experiments because he isn't going to waste someone's valuable time on a personal desire.
He can't even read any more.
So often he just sits home alone in silence.
Hashirama has been trying to get him to move back in with him, but Tobirama doesn't want to be a burden on Hashirama and Mito.
He gets more depressed every day.
He is constantly frustrated that all his training so far has only given him the ability to sense water. Which doesn't help him get around the village.
Madara on the other hand is drowning in guilt.
Every attempt to support Tobirama gets him rebuffed.
He attempted to help Tobirama with some of his work and it honestly looked like Tobirama might cry. His lips almost seemed to tremble.
It's been two months now and he can see how every day is weighing heavier and heavier on Tobirama.
He talked to Hashirama about it but apparently Tobirama refused to move back in.
Madara has to do something, but neither Hashirama nor Izuna have any good advice.
Finally he decides fuck it. I'm going to help even if it pisses Tobirama off.
So on Tobirama's next day off Madara just shows up on his doorstep at 10 am. Shocking though Tobirama opens the door looking like he just woke up.
Which can't be right because everyone knows Tobirama wakes up at the crack of dawn.
Except apparently neither Madara or Hashirama had been taking things serious enough.
A look behind Tobirama shows off the disaster his house is.
He supposed that was why there was so much noise and probably part of why it took so long for Tobirama to open the door.
Tobirama does his best to run Madara off but he's not having any of that.
He bulldozes his way into the house, starts cleaning up despite Tobirama's many attempts to get him to leave. Many of which insult Madara, his clan, and his mother.
Madara ignores it all and just talks about inane things until Tobirama gives up and just flips on the couch.
Madara then bullies Tobirama into fresh clothes and then scoots him right out of the house.
Grabbing Tobirama's hand he wraps it around his own elbow, using his own hand to keep Tobirama from letting him go, and then walks them into the village. They are going shopping.
And that's how it goes for months.
Tobirama stops resisting help so much he does gain enough sensing skills to get an idea of his surroundings by pulsing his chakra out like echo location, not enough to let him resume being a ninja but to help with day to day things.
Madara and Tobirama find themselves growing closer by the day.
Until one day Madara realizes he wants more than friendship.
Madara is not one for openly talking about feelings, so instead he just says can I kiss you?
And there is only one answer for Tobirama.
Yes.
One of my commenters found the story I was thinking of! And I definitely misremembered a lot of it, it's still the story that inspired mine! I will link it below
#they live happily ever after#though Hashirama bemoans the fact that he gets less time with both of them now#Izuna was already used to Tobirama being with Madara by now and it takes him two weeks to realize Tobirama had moved in with them.#tobirama#senju tobirama#naruto#madara uchiha#founders era#madatobi#madara x tobirama#madara#mdtb#fanfic

THE NUANCE OF HASHIRAMA’S UNFAMOUS QUOTE
After Hashirama wins a fight with Madara at the Valley of the End and subsequently impales Madara with a sword, Hashirama says to him:
Hashirama is saying this memorable quote to a dying Madara as if he was trying to justify his decision to kill Madara not only to Madara but also to himself. He’s reminding Madara that he will choose Konoha over anything else (including Madara) no matter what. He’s firm and assured with his decision. However, he’s not sure if it’s the right decision and he perceives his action as desperate. In other words, He feels like he had no other option, and he feels similarly to a rat being forced into a corner. He can only jump at his enemy or he (and everything he worked for) dies. He blames Madara for him having to face this hard situation. He doesn’t feel like he‘s won, there’s no movement in his face to suggest that, he’s angry at best for being cornered. Rather than that, he feels like he’s lost together with Madara.
However, this quote alone without context (as it’s usually thrown around) doesn’t tell us the whole story of Hashirama’s point of view that was shaped by his upbringing, experiences and dire situation.
When Hashirama says he would kill his child if the child was a threat Konoha, He doesn’t talk about a literal six years old child who came with a wooden sword. And he doesn’t talk about an adult child he could easily overpower and deal with them verbally. Instead, he talks about an offspring that would be at least on Hashirama’s level of power who would try to destroy Konoha and everyone in it, including babies and families. To put it more simply, it‘s not about only protecting Konoha as a political system but about actual people living there who wouldn’t stand a chance against said offspring and would eventually die if the offspring wasn’t stopped. Considering all previous points, Hashirama wouldn’t kill his offspring as a form of punishment, but out of necessity and out of desperation. This is also how he feels about killing Madara – he doesn’t want to punish Madara.
However, Hashirama doesn’t just think about it, he also says it aloud, which can give sort of dark or even cold vibes. But to understand this, we need to look at the way Hashirama was raised. He was born in a midst of wars where death was so prevalent that he becomes a little obsessed about it. His two brothers died, and we can assume that many of his friends and comrades also died. For Hashirama, death is a normalised, sad part of life and it’s not a taboo as it is later in the series. He is capable of talking about it and it, without a question, taught him to be compassionate.
To Hashirama, death is not a punishment, but the last resort.
Similarly, in Hashirama’s flashback, we can see where his struggles with parent/child relationships come from. His father was authoritative and abusive, which means that Hashirama was never shown a proper parent/child relationship. He struggled as a child and he probably automatically presumes he will struggle as a parent (on the other side) too. We don’t know how Hashirama was as a father and I don’t personally believe he was anything like Butsuma, but his traumatic experience with his own father probably shaped Hashirama’s view of familiar relationships. That’s why it was so easy for him to say aloud that he would kill his own offspring if they threatened Konoha. Hashirama’s feelings about family are more numb and lacking because of the abuse he has suffered. Because of that, he will never see father/son relationship as only good and loving as that’s not what he knows. Hashirama’s statement is rather dark and it lacks nurturing (that is prevalent in healthy family relationships), just as his adolescence.
Despite this, Hashirama isn’t sure if his decisions he made for Konoha were right. Madara himself warns him that his vision will bring darkness upon Konoha. Hashirama has regrets and doesn’t fully justify his decision as being right.
That said, Hashirama‘s statement to Madara about killing a family member and his regrets aren’t supposed to show him as a bad person. Instead, they humanise him and they make him seem like an individual rather than an ideal.
On the contrary, Hashirama‘s „heroic sacrifice“ (killing an enemy who was a friend) isn’t supposed to show him as a good person. He’s not just good and flawless or simply bad. He’s not just a cartoonishly evil character and neither he’s a funny and innocent himbo. He’s a nuanced character with flaws, not just an aspirational hero whose hands are clean.

What do you think of this take? https://www.tumblr.com/ultfreakme/776156606853513216/i-am-just-120-episodes-into-naruto-but-ive-been?source=share
I know you hate those who spewed that "Sns is accidentally made gay" agenda but I think I also don't like that this person reduces sns connection as just "performing masculinity for each other" cause like.. what exactly do you mean here? Because they brutally fight each other untill it turns ugly and bloody I guess they deem it as "performing masculinity"? Not even acknowledging how they fight as equally powerful ninjas and the manga repeatedly said that their fights are a way to reach each other's hearts?
Naruto and sasuke's connection has always been about their shared loneliness, one wants so sever it and the other wants to chase and preserve this bond. It's not just about some bootleg clapped rivalry that has no basis and substance other than just wanting to fight each other. Man I hate when fans of other mlm shonen ships get into sns and don't try to understand the specialty and uniqueness of sns and instead just apply the typical half assed argument of how "shonen is inherently homoerotic" and call it a day.
Notice how that post also correlates misogyny in the writing of female characters as some kind of argument on whether or not sns are written intentionally as gay when that one thing has nothing to do with the other. Even if the female characters are given all the best writing in the world, the dynamic written for sns still remains separate? Idk but I just don't like it when so-called sns fans are given chance to analyze things about this ship, their only take away is just "it's just because the het ships are written terribly because the female characters are treated poorly so bla bla bla" like you're supposed to be talking about sns the ship not about the female characters no? You do know they are in separate forms of writing and one can exists without the other, right?
Hi!
I finally got time to answer your ask, so here we go.
I had already interacted w/ the person whose post you've linked and they have not finished the series and it shows. As they say in their own post, they're only 120 episodes in.
The post reads like 1. they're young 2. their understanding of both the women's writing and homoromantic and homoerotic writing is that of a young person who thinks one cancels out the other one. This post does a great job explaining why it's not necessarily this way [LINK]
Also I think they're watching the anime instead of reading the manga? which is going to give you a very different perspective on things, we all know how studio pierrot changes stuff even in canon episodes.
So that said, I think we've gotta give this person grace. They're getting started with both the series and the ship and I feel it's like a rite of passage to feel "Naruto and Sasuke aren't gay, the female characters are badly written and that's why Kishimoto accidentally wrote them that way".
So keeping this in mind, now that I'll respond to parts of the post linked.
The Shinobi world values power, only men and boys are allowed to be powerful because "girls are weak and don't have the same amount of drive to push themselves as the booooooysss doooo".
Well, this isn't exactly accurate. Girls are allowed to be powerful and have the same amount of drive as boys do, but like they said prior to this, because Naruto is a manga for boys it will focus on its male characters more. Never in the manga it is stated that girls are not allowed to be powerful, like at all. Tsunade, Konan, Mei Terumi, Temari, Ino and so on have shown they can be as powerful and competent as their male counterparts with the exception of Naruto, Sasuke, Madara and Hashirama (because they are the most powerful to ever lived and have the chakra of literal gods). This is more Kishimoto focusing on the plot of the main characters that happen to be male because again this is a shonen manga, rather than a misogynistic belief he has that girls can't be powerful.
Naruto wants to get stronger not to impress Sakura. No, no, she's obviously secondary, her affection is the prize. Naruto ACTUALLY wants to get stronger to beat Sasuke. Not just beat him, to get him to acknowledge his masculinity. This isn't a gay thing, this is just how guys interact irl. They put on a whole performance where they act like they feel nothing around their guy friends when you know you saw that dude acting very different with the girls and the gays and the theys.
I suppose this was the part that bothered you the most, and I can see why. I don't entirely get the "she's secondary, her affection is the prize" I guess they're referencing the whole thing about Naruto's promise to Sakura? Like they think Naruto is doing all that because he promised Sakura to bring back Sasuke to the village because Naruto "loves" Sakura? I guess they haven't reached Sakura's fake confession in the series yet, idk.
The part about Naruto only wanting to get stronger so Sasuke awknowledges his "masculinity" is very reductive of Kishimoto's writing and of Naruto's devotion for Sasuke. Trying to paint it as just bros trying to impress other bros and I really disliked how they say "dudes act very different w/ the girls and the gays and the theys", idk but to me it feels like they're ignoring Naruto and especially Sasuke's queer-coded writing, not in their bond, but in themselves as characters, as if they were straight-presenting or something when they're not.
It's not only his masculinity what Naruto wants awknowledged, its his existence and above everything his own pain, Kishimoto already explained it during the Kizuna interview best
Sasuke and Naruto awknowledge each other and craved this awknowledgement because they wanted someone who noticed and understood the pain and trauma they've been through. That's why Naruto explicitly states Sasuke saved him by awknowledging him. To say what Naruto wants is "hey bro, look how strong I am!" it's a superficial reading of the text.
Also, I don't think this person has read Kishimoto's interviews. I noticed with "I've heard Kishimoto wrote this story to center around the ways in which these two support one another [...]" like yeah, you've heard somewhere from someone who knows if it was the complete statement. To be honest if you don't read his interviews you're gonna believe everything is accidental because once you start reading the complete full interviews you realize everything is intentional because Kishimoto is telling he did everything intentionally.
Intentional or not, the extent of it can vary however much but this is how you do it. It doesn't matter if you didn't know the recipe to making cake crepe and accidentally made pancakes. You've got a fucking pancake. Naruto and Sasuke's relationship accidentally stumbled right into a romantic dynamic from the get-go.
Ah yeah, the good ol' skepticism all new sns shippers have when they start the series, it's so gay even fujos can't believe it and try to rationalize it (because deep down people believe no one respects queer stories enough to want to write them intentionally).
Kishimoto accidentally stumbled right into a romantic dynamic from the get-go. Because there's no way he spent 15 years of his life intentionally writing a romantic dynamic in his own manga that he created lol neither Kishimoto nor his first editor Yahagi nor his second editor Otsuki nor any of the assistants working with Kishimoto were able to notice they were accidentally stumbling right into a romantic dynamic lmao
I get why people can be skeptical but at some point they need to get a grip and realize professionals know what they're doing.
Idc about author intentionality and what the man and his editors have said (death of the author yada yada). The text of Naruto is just, this.
This is just dumb. Also the only part that bothered me in the whole text. It's straight up anti-intellectualism. I don't know if you've read it but I've written about this sentiment so prevalent in the Naruto fandom and how it's what's holding them back from truly grasping the full depth of the writing [LINK]
Other people have written great posts on why you shouldn't disregard author intentionality when reading a text (because it's dumb!), especifically Kishimoto's intentionality, here, here and here,
#ask reply#eventually all sns shippers see the light and realize Kishimoto is the biggest fujoshi of them all#it's so funny when we all realize it like oh this old man is a freak!

You know, I think a lot of hate and misunderstanding towards Itachi comes from the fact that he is designed like he is 30 or 20-something by the time of the massacre. Pleople would empathize with him more if he looked like the child he was. In some flashbacks he looks and sounds more like Sasuke's father than his big brother. He is expected to act perfectly and to take the best decisions in all that involved Sasuke, as if he was the responsible grown-up in charge, and not just another child.
Yes, that's also a major reason. The first time he was introduced, he looked like a 16-17 year old to me, and in all the flashbacks he looks more or less the same. I don't relate to the sentiment of anyone hating him for this, though, or thinking he wasn't a child when it's been repeatedly told to us, but I guess usually it's not so for everyone.
I read somewhere that the reason he looks older than he is, is because of Sasuke's perception of him. Kishimoto draws him with more nuance, and he does look like a child in manga.
When, for the first time we see him as a child in Sasuke's flashbacks in manga, he looks like a 12 year old. He's very similar to how Sasuke would look without the marks on his face. Anime messed up giving him an adult voice and the similar appearance. Boruto does a better job at portraying him as a child in appearance and voice.

And, yes! Itachi having to act like an adult could have been explored with his Boruto look and voice too. It would be much more tragic to watch him slowly lose his grip on his sanity when he looked like a baby he's meant to be.
Another reason for the lack of sympathy from a lot of people towards him is that his story is told to us through a series of unreliable narrators. Sasuke, for example, gives us two different versions of Itachi. The evil and the good one. The good one (in the flashbacks before the massacre) shows us he was a good and kind boy. Kishimoto uses Itachi as a plot device to further Sasuke's story. If some information regarding Itachi is important to establish Itachi as a character, but is not relevant to Sasuke's arc, it will not be discussed. Otherwise we'd have gotten some information on the time Sasuke trained under Orochimaru and his own guilt for pushing Sasuke into that path. I'm not saying you have to give us all in real time, but after his death, through Kisame (who'd be a better person to talk about Itachi to Sasuke) we could have gotten some more info on him. But nope.
Obito is also an unreliable narrator. As is Hiruzen. Sasuke tells us about Itachi, his brother. Obito tells us about the tragic figure/martyr Itachi, and Hiruzen tells us the perfect Shinobi Itachi was.
There's very little of real Itachi himself in all this.
Sasuke didn't know everything about his brother. Obito didn't either or it didn't matter to him enough to reveal more details about Itachi to Sasuke. Hiruzen also had his own guilt and lack of information on Itachi, therefore he only tells us what he knows and considers right about him.
Everyone is telling us about their version of Itachi that they know is right. Itachi is probably the only character whose story is told us like that. For other characters the narrators are very much reliable. Madara's story, for example, is told through Itachi, Obito, and Hashirama. And Hashirama is the most reliable narrator, so we can ignore what Itachi and Obito said about him. It isn't the case with Itachi. In his case we have to draw the conclusions based on all the information we've received from other people.
I don't agree with people who say he's inherently cruel or evil. (I wrote about it here) Unlike many others, if given a slightly better option he would have made better choice. Who else in the Narutoverse had to make the hard choices that Itachi did and he stood by them? People can stay mad with countless 'he could have/should have done this differently' but they're speaking from an outsider's POV who has the luxury of not having been through the trauma the character they're criticizing did. Everything they hate him for can be countered using manga penals. I know this is the bird-eye view of things, but these penals are self-explanatory.
Itachi is one character who did everything wrong, but with proper context that 'everything wrong' can be explained, understood, and to some extent, even justified. If people are going to remove, twist, distort, deny, or downright ignore that context to continue their hate, then I have a very bad news for them. More on this here.
It's why I tend to disagree with most of the discourse on Itachi. People dropping the context depending on their convenience to talk shit about him. And I applaud Kishimoto for creating Itachi. Imagine creating a minor character in a 700-chapter long manga and people being mad about his fanbase. He's a very popular character and some folks like to feel intellectually and morally superior for hating on popular things. They also like to think they're different and hence very special.

I was there, standing on top of that mountain where I could see the sunset that covered the village below with golden light. After so many battles, Konoha finally flourished in peace.
Peace that hadn’t existed in my heart for a long time since I met her: Alexia.
──
In the heart of the war between Senju and Uchiha, in the small moments when there was a truce, I, Tobirama, youngest son of the general of the Senju clan liked to get away from all that suffering for a while. During the day, I found a way to escape to the river, just to be able to see and hear the current that followed its path without caring about what happened on its banks. It just flowed.
And it was there, on one of those days, that I saw a little paper boat with a yellow flower inside going down through the crystal-clear water, and then one more and another. Like the curious child that I was, I went up the river in the opposite direction of the boats, until I saw her.
A little girl with long, black hair messed up by the wind. She was kneeling on the riverbank and placing paper boats with colorful flowers in the water one by one, while her black eyes watched them move away. Until her eyes fell on me, and we stood staring without saying anything on either side of the river. Then, she got up, smiled at me and disappeared into the forest.
──
Without realizing it, a soft smile curved my lips as I remembered that day. How the silent meeting of two children could change so much.
──
After that meeting, I went to the river more often, wanting to see her again. But it was weeks before I saw the little boats go down the current once again. I found her in the same place and this time, I walked over and crouched down next to her.
“Why do you do it?” I asked.
She looked at me with those dark orbs, smiled and responded as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
“Because I think it’s beautiful.”
I saw her pick up another little boat with a red flower and place it in my hand. I quickly put it in the water and saw it go away down the river. I smiled without realizing it.
“See? It’s so pretty,” she said and looked at me again. “I’m Alexia. And you?”
“Tobirama,” I replied, hiding my surname, because during the war it wasn’t wise to say it to strangers and apparently, she knew that as she didn’t say hers either.
We stayed there talking for hours, without ever saying where we came from, until I heard my brother Hashirama calling me from inside the forest. I went home but not before making her promise that we would see each other again, right there.
The months passed and as the war worsened, our meetings began to become rarer, until she never appeared again.
──
I felt a lonely tear run down my face. Even though we were just children, the loss of my first love hurt a lot.
But I moved on with my life, and during the following years, thanks to the war, I didn’t have much time to rummage through the past. Until...
──
Until, at the peak of my 21 st year, I became the second-best ninja in my clan, second only to my older brother.
Even though the years passed, and I became a man, I still had the childhood habit of going to the river.
That day, I bent down to wash my face in the cool water, and I felt my heart speed up when I saw a little paper boat with a pink flower touch my hand.
I ran as fast as I could, going upstream and I saw her... she was there and looked at me as if she was waiting for me.
Her black hair, now longer, swayed in the breeze. Her body, that was once small and thin, had become beautiful and curvy. She was a woman now, but her eyes, oh those dark eyes, were still the same ones that haunted my memories.
I approached, and the only thing I could say was her name.
“Alexia...”
Without knowing why, or without caring if I was going to be rejected, I kissed her. That old childhood love turned into an urgent desire to erase all that longing that I had stored deep within my being. Alexia responded to me with passion. She seemed to feel the same thing as me, and she wanted to make up for all the lost time.
We pulled away from each other with difficulty, but the feeling of being complete surrounded us like a golden aura. We didn’t need to say anything to know that time hadn’t changed the feelings of the two children.
We talked and kissed for hours on end, until we heard sounds coming from the forest, and before I knew it, she broke away from my embrace, looking me in the eyes and said:
“Tobirama, I need to tell you something very important.” Her face became serious. “Meet me here tomorrow night. Please don’t miss it.”
I nodded and let her go.
I didn’t know that conversation would change my entire life.
──
The night of our meeting had arrived. I managed to leave without being seen by my brother and went towards the agreed location. My hands were sweating, and my heart was racing with every step I took. I thought what I felt years ago was a child’s thing, but the closer I got, the more I knew I was madly in love with that woman. When I arrived, she was already there waiting for me, her gaze fixed on the waters of the river. She seemed sad and that made me worried.
“Alexia, are you alright?” I asked and without waiting for an answer, I hugged her.
Feeling her warm body pressed against mine, the kiss was inevitable. It started out soft, but when she opened the way for our tongues to mee, I could no longer resist. We made love right there, on the riverbank, listening to the water run and taking our secret with it.
Leaning on my body, I heard her soft cry and little by little, hot tears touched my chest, making me look at her.
“What happened? Did I hurt you?” I said with concern.
“That’s not it,” she got up and started to dress up. “This shouldn’t have happened. Not without telling you first.”
“Telling me what?” I started to worry even more, seeing her crying.
“I know who you are, Tobirama Senju,” she whispered between tears, emphasizing the word ‘senju’. “And I... I am... Alexia Uchiha.”
My heart almost stopped when I heard her say her full name. It couldn’t be true. It couldn’t... the girl I loved since I was a child, the girl I loved there, on the riverbank, was from that damn clan that had been at war with my family and friends for years. I looked at that familiar and now strange face for several moments, until she broke the deadly silence that hung on us.
“I wanted to tell you sooner, but I was afraid,” she took a step towards me. “Say something, Tobirama.”
“Alexia... Uchiha...” I could only repeat her name, still not believing that joke of fate.
She got closer to me, and with her trembling hand she tried to touch me, but my body involuntarily took a step back, avoiding the contact.
“Please, say something,” her voice was already starting to get exasperated with my silence. “Say that this doesn’t change anything. Say that you love me. Say that everything will be alright. Just say... say it and I will wait for you.”
But I didn’t say it. Even though my heart was screaming like crazy inside my chest, I didn’t say the words that she wanted to hear. I couldn’t.
I caught a glimpse of her beautiful eyes fading with the tears that came flooding back before she left.
──
When I found out who that little boy was in the river, I knew I had to stay away for my safety and his. However, the war helped me maintain my decision. I was sent to another village along with other women and children who could not fight. But fate found a way to bring us together again many years later. I wanted to see him, see how he grew up and try to make possible that childish love that I always carried in my chest, despite the situation.
An Uchiha and a Sunju. It seemed like a joke, but I didn’t care. I wanted to fight for that feeling.
But...
But my hope faded that night, after we made love. He ran away from my touch like running away from a venomous snake when he learned the truth. I saw the hurt in his eyes, and anger. I was willing to face everything and everyone for us, I just needed to hear him say it. But the words didn’t come.
──
After that fateful night, I still hadn’t given up on us. Maybe he just needed some time to put his thoughts in order, maybe there was still hope. But I was wrong.
Every day that followed, I went to the riverbank and one by one, I placed the little paper boats with flowers in the current and watched them slowly descend into the clear waters, waiting to hear his footsteps on the gravel. The long-awaited steps never came.
And every time, I cried. But this time, I held back the tears and noticed that someone placed a coat over my shoulders and spoke to me in a soft voice.
“Alexia, what are you doing here?” he said in a worried smile. “It’s getting cold. Let’s go before you get sick."
I looked at him as I stood up. His long, black hair was tousled because of the wind, which I didn’t even realize was blowing strongly, and his dark eyes, so similar to mine, stood out from the strong, beautiful face that smiled at me. Madara Uchiha, the new leader of the clan. I had known him for a long time, but only at that moment did I really pay attention to him. I took one last look at the waters of the river and followed him back home.
──
That image of Alexia waiting for me, words I didn’t say and the sadness in her eyes, the plea in her voice haunted my thoughts.
Every day I went to the river, and I saw, day after day, the little paper boats going down the river. I knew they were for me, that she was waiting for me just behind that curve. But my pride prevented me from going there and taking her in my arms and never letting her go.
Another little boat came down and came closer to my feet, and before I could pick it up, it sank and dissolved in the water. I didn’t know why, but that image made me cry. Nevertheless, I still didn’t go after her.
──
A year has passed since that day, and there have never been any paper boats for me on the river again.
Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don’t sound the same
When our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down
‘Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And as the world loves to play tricks, that same year the battle between the Senju and Uchiha clans ended, beginning an alliance that led to the founding of Konoha. If I had said something, if I had waited...
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
But I hadn’t said anything, I hadn’t waited, and I lost her. Now, we live in the same village, our families are no longer enemies and there is no more war. But it’s too late for us.
My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out of my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, oh
And that haunts me every time I close my eyes
It all just sounds like ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I see her almost every day, but her eyes don’t look at me anymore and her smile doesn’t shine for me. Now, another man holds her hand, another man is the owner of her look and the reason for her smile.
Mm, too young, too foolish to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party ‘cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby’s dancing, but she’s dancing with another man
Although it hurts
I’ll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I knw I’m probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know
I could see him day after day gluing together, piece by piece, Alexia’s heart, which I broke. Healing her wings, which I hurt, and giving her the love that, out of pride, I couldn’t give.
I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds you hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party
‘Cause I remember how much you loved t dance
Do all the things I would have done
When I was your man
And today, I’m here, at the top of this mountain. Down there, I can hear the happy laughter and the music that rose up to me.
It was Alexia’s wedding, my Alexia... I lost her the moment I was too weak to say I loved her.
My life ended there, on the edge of that river. Those waters witnessed who foolish I was, how my hatred and my pride took from me the woman I loved my entire life.
The sun had already set on the horizon and the stars were beginning to emerge in the dark blue sky. That was when I noticed someone approaching, a servant, who handed something into my hand that made my heart skip a beat.
It was a paper boat with a white flower. My eyes clouded with the threat of tears, until I saw that there seemed to be something written on the paper. I unfolded the little boat and read the words that seemed a little shaky.
‘Tobirama,
I want you to know that despite what happened between us, I have no regrets. On the contrary, you will always be in my heart, as my first love. It’s a shame that it’s too late for both of us, but I wish from the bottom of my soul that you find someone, and that you don’t let your pride speak louder than your love again. Be happy.
Alexia.’
As I read that, my fists clenched the paper tightly and the little flower fell apart on the floor. And I couldn’t hold it back any longer. I fell on the ground and cried, cried until my eyes had no more tears to cry.
I cried for the lost love. I cried for the future without Alexia. I cried for the regret of not having said the words she expected to hear. And I cried even more for having my heart in pieces while my pride remained whole.

#The Summer Madara Died
I just briefly imagined Hashimada as a The Summer Hikaru Died au. Both are about two childhood best friends in love that are held back from being together by the world they were born in. In both of them, one of them die and gets brought back. And brought back different.
Speaking of dying and being brought back wrong, this could also be an obikaka au. ————
Homophobia in Yoshiki and Hikaru’s village prevents the two of them from admitting their love to each other while they’re alive, similar to how the Senju v. Uchiha feud and war keep Madara and Hashirama apart. In both stories, they belong with each other but suffer as reincarnations of a reincarnation cycle caused by a conflict from an ancient imbalance.
Speaking of reincarnation, this could also be a SNS au. ————
Oh my gosh, I just remembered the bedroom scene where Yoshiki stabs “Hikaru” in order to protect the village… #hashiramacoded
I just remembered the beach scene when “Hikaru” tells Yoshiki that he’s going to leave the village so peace can be restored and Yoshiki can live a good life once he’s left… #madaracoded
And Yoshiki replies like DUDE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, YOU’RE JUST GIVING UP, YOU HAVE TO STAY IN THE VILLAGE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN I WOULD HAVE A GOOD LIFE WITHOUT YOU, YOU NEED TO STAY IN THE VILLAGE SO WE CAN KEEP TRYING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS, DON’T LEAVE DON’T GIVE UP and then later he realizes that he said all this stuff about “for the village” but in the end, it’s really because he needs “Hikaru” to stay with him… #hashiramacoded
Just remembered how Yoshiki says that he wants to go somewhere far away with “Hikaru” and see lots of things together and “Hikaru” says he wants that too… just remembered Yoshiki said but he can’t do that because he couldn’t live with it if something horrible happened to their village… #hashiramacoded
Just remembered how Yoshiki always felt like he had to hide the person he was and what he wanted until he could grow up and leave the village and live his truth…. Just remembered that Yoshiki privately always felt different in his village, how he felt like a monster... #hashiramacoded And that’s why he understands “Hikaru” the monster, that’s why he wants to save “Hikaru”… #hashiramacoded
Just remembered how Hikaru’s final thoughts when dying was of Yoshiki… Just remembered how Hikaru’s final act is an act of love where he asks the spirit to be with Yoshiki for him since he can’t do it anymore… #madaracoded
Just remembered that Hikaru never showed how much he loved Yoshiki when he was alive… #madaracoded
Just remembered when “Hikaru” tells Yoshiki that he likes him a lot and Yoshiki thinks of how Hikaru never said anything like that before… #madaracoded
———-
Maybe in this au, after Madara died, the monster that enters his body and combines with Madara’s memories to meld and become the new “Madara” is this universe’s version of Madara being possessed by Black Zetsu aka Kaguya Otsutsuki’s will. But in this au unlike in Naruto, “Madara” knows this is what happened and he’s fighting to hold back his monstrous desires.
More thoughts to come.

Helloooooooo. Hope you are having a fuuuuntastic day.
Can you do a scenario where the reader complains to founders + izuna + indra about how much pain in the ass waxing their pubes is. And they are like it cannot hurt that bad and they get their balls and dick waxed. I have a feeling this is going to be funny lol.
I worked a 10 hours shift with only 1 hour for lunch in the middle so I'm literally this emoji
Let's go with the waxing
Indra
- "I am a man, we endure pain worse than women, that kind of pain must be a joke, it doesn't compare to what I have gone through on the battlefield-" yadayadayada. Indra loves to brag about all the aches he's been through and the scars he carries, but does he have any idea of the suffering we women go through? No, not even close. He undergoes the old-fashioned torture of putting wax on his pubic hair just to prove that "it doesn't hurt at all" and the first tug already makes him look like he's sucking on a lemon. His body doesn't make any reflexes from the sensation of the wax on his skin, he can take that like a champ, he doesn't complain about the temperature either, but a hiss escapes him at the first pull. He refuses to cry or show discomfort, but (Y/N) finds him secretly massaging the area with moisturizing cream afterwards.
Madara
- "I mean... if you go through it just because you want to look "pretty" for me, it would be fair for me to know what you have to endure every time you get waxed, wouldn't it? Sounds logical." A man of good, he submits only to empathize with what (Y/N) has to suffer, a "your happiness is my happiness, your pain is my pain" stan. Like an old english lad, he endures the application and the temperature, not before exhaling with regret as he feels the heat spread across his skin. He doesn't stop her at the first tug, but he can't get through it without screaming out loud. Soon the room is filled with profanity, solely because it's the way he finds to cooperate with the pain. If there's one thing he never imagined, it's suffering this much. Occasionally he restrains (Y/N)'s hand and asks her to wait, breathing, and preparing for the next stage of torture. Never again.
Izuna
- "Yes, I have no problem. In fact, I always wanted to try it, you only live once right? It might be a really good option to stop using razors and not get all rashy afterward." Ha, thought so. Izuna dives into the experience with encouragement and enthusiasm, determined to find a gentler and simpler method than shaving all the time, but ends up crying at the end. As soon as the wax touches his skin, he complains, screaming that it is way too hot, even though it is at the minimum and indispensable temperature. He stops her hand thirty times before he agrees to face the pain, and cries out loud begging for the torture to end. At the same time, (Y/N) offers to end it, but he refuses, crying out that if he got this far they will finish what they have started. He is not ashamed of the tears he sheds, and believes it is one of his best fought battles.
Hashirama
- "Doesn't it hurt too much? I don't like pain, I'd rather avoid it. Would it make you happy if I did it for you? I can take it for that reason, but I understand it's like a medieval torture..." Hashirama faces the hot temperature demon knowing it is a lethal weapons enemy, psyching himself up for a rough fight. He hardly even feels the first application, surprised only by the lack of pain. The first tug, either. The Senju talks during all the strokes and pulls, without registering any pain, fantasizing about things like "Have you ever thought about what would happen if you were applying wax to your vagegei and suddenly the end of the world came? Would you run with the piece of wax still on your skin or would you take it off and then escape? What if you don't have enough time? It can be a death trap" without flinching or feeling anything at all. The true Shinobi god.
Tobirama
- "Just for you, but let me investigate how it works before I submit to your expirement. If we're going to do it, we do it right, I want to know what I'm up against." Tobirama takes a week between work and time off to find out about the waxing method, its pros and cons, cotraindications and side effects. He finds out what kind of cream to use afterwards, powder, how to apply and remove, in which direction and how to do a counter-growth removal, which brands are the most recommended and which to avoid. Once satisfied with his findings, he lends himself for fun, but not without trying to manage every second of the situation. His findings, however, do not help him endure the pain, nor the tears reluctantly escaping every time (Y/N) applies the hot wax on his sensitive skin and pulls mercilessly, trying to do it fast for him not to suffer.
