Bri sat staring at the ground. She wasn't sure why she was there. Sitting in a graveyard wasn't exactly healthy when you weren't really there to visit anyone. Part of her thought she should pay her respects to Hank but she'd gotten as far as the first bench and made it no further. There wasn't really anyone she could talk to about the fact it felt like the universe was giving her every possible sign that she shouldn't try to pursue happiness as she'd like to see it.
Morgan and Hank had been the goal. The prime example that sometimes it worked out despite the pain. Bri had entertained the thought for a moment that she and Ziggy could share something like that but now...
Now both Morgan and Hank were head and what was the point of trying if happiness was fleeting and fragile. Pulling her legs up onto the bench she rest her chin on her knees and closed her eyes and she did the best she could to make herself small. Their poor daughters. Lost in thoughts of grief she was startled out of it by the sound of someone sitting down on the bench next to her. @houseoracastle

Walking through the commune, Sam mentally listed all the volunteers he would need to speak to. At least the receptionist at the retirement home was willing to give that info when a dash of charm was thrown their way. Nodding his thanks to the person guiding him through the house, he walked up to a man playing with two babies. "Hi, Mr. Davies? I'm Samuel Ahn from the Huntsville Daily. I had a few questions for you, if you're willing to spare a moment."

Edgar flashed a warm grin as he walked towards the young man. "Emrys, hi. I just wanted to thank you again for joining us. I know it was a bit last minute, but it really meant a lot to have an extra set of hands. Did you enjoy it?"

Where: At the fair Who: Lennon + Pascal
"So I saw a stand like two stalls that way doing tarot reading, or something like that." Pascal said to Lennon as he pointed towards the way of the stall. "What would you ask if you'd be getting your cards read?" he asked with a thoughtful look on his face.

Where: Commune Who: Lennon + Paloma
It was weird for Paloma to be back here, it felt like such a long time since she'd moved out of the place. Not to mention this was the first time she'd taken Alma out for such a long trip, the slight concern was still visible on her face when she sat down with a deep sigh and smiled at Lennon, "Okay, hi, how are you?" she said with a small laugh.

Lynx raised a brow, feeling like he had missed part of a conversation somewhere along the lines but not being able to work out where. Must be the pounding in his head, messing with his cognitive functions. "Why would you be in a depressive stupor when you've got me around?" Flirting with Cass was always so easy, and Lynx was in part surprised they had ever had a serious conversation with each other. The pause hadn't been expected, mostly because the words left on the very edge of that silence hadn't been words Lynx had planned to say, and now the gentle sounds of the towel rubbing across his body were the only thing to fill that silence. Cass asked a question, and Lynx stopped, body freezing for a moment, wetting his bottom lip in thought. "Yeah," he'd said it for a reason, surely, "of course I'm sure." He shrugged as if it were nothing, stepping back towards Cass once more, letting his arms rest atop their shoulders, hands hanging back to brush between his shoulder blades. "Shit doesn't make sense in my head sometimes, but this does. I know we weren't supposed to be a serious thing, but what if we were?" And then Cass said it back, and Lynx's heart beat just that little bit faster, smile widening. At points, he thought he'd never get past the loss of Jae-Sung, and yet, here he was.
Despite the crazy, this felt like the most sane thing Lynx had said in years/.
"Sure, if my hip acts up," he agreed, nodding. "Or if I'm in some sort of a, say, depressive stupor?" He added quickly, shrugging and looking around for a towel. Really it was an excuse to not look at Lynx for a brief moment. "Here," Cass said, grabbing the towel for the other and holding it out to him. Following the kiss, he finally looked at Lynx's face again, unsure if he should leave the comment where it was or if he should explain further. But then he realized what had just been said. The word 'love' hung there between them, and Cass' eyes widened a bit. Well. He hadn't expected that. Which was probably odd, considering they were engaged, but still. "Are you sure?" He asked after a few seconds, though he was almost positive that wasn't the correct response. "I love you, too," and he didn't say it out of obligation or because it seemed right, he said it because he was certain that he really, actually meant it. And that was almost crazier to him than the idea that Lynx would say it first.

"I mean.... kinda?" Chet snorted a little. "Maybe it's better you don't know. I try to use humor to cope with... whatever the fuck keeps happening around here." He let out a weary sigh. "Otherwise? I think I might go completely crazy. I really feel like I don't have far to go."

where: the park
who: Lia and Izan ( @houseoracastle )
Lia pushed the pram along in front of her as she walked around one of the paths at the park. She was still recovering, but had been given the okay for some light exercise, which for now meant walks in the park. After a little while she needed a rest and found a bench to sit down at for a while. "Izan" she smiled, giving a little wave when she spotted the other not able to remember the last time she'd seen him. It must have been back at the commune. Had it been before the triplets had been born? "come. sit" she waved him over, hoping he was up for some company.

@houseoracastle / closed starter / Lennon Davies setting: ciara & art's apartment (keeping her name first for safety)
Just because Art was running a little theatre project didn't mean that he was stopping his investigations. There was still plenty to investigate, especially given that there had been so many deaths in town... He had left Lennon momentarily on the couch and was now rummaging through the refrigerator for the both of them. "Do you have a preference on a drink? I think we have-- water. or juice. or just straight vodka. Pick your poison."

koda stared at the young person who was going on a tangent now and waited for him to finish before saying, "morbid." she shoved her hands into her pockets and raised an eyebrow at him, "so how'd you survive then? no one ever really talks about that i've noticed."

"I have had the weirdest day." Liam announced as he walked into the room. He checked in on the twins before settling himself down next to Lennon. "You ever have one of those days where things are just so unexpected it throws you completely? I don't even..." He shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "So I ran into Hunter again. Turns out he's still mad at me? Like... chill, dude. Anyway, that's not the weirdest part. You are not prepared for what he did." @houseoracastle

WHERE: Lake Party WHO: Lennon Davies ( @houseoracastle )
Val was, admittedly, a couple of drinks, a couple of hits, and one and a half cupcakes into their day by the time that they found Lennon in the crowd and approached him. "'Sup?" she asked, hoisting herself onto a table and dangling her legs from it, glancing over at him with a curious expression. He seemed to have a lot on his mind. "Penny for your thoughts? Wait, that doesn't really work here. Ration card for your thoughts?"

The smile returned, albeit softer. "Thank you, Emrys. That really means a lot."
Edgar couldn't help the laugh at the question. "Oh, no, nothing like that. Just your standard upper-class businessman. I actually have two PhDs, one in English and one in Literature and the Arts. He...disappeared when I was young, but I have very vivid memories of him reading to me. Whenever he was home from a business trip, that was something he always tried to do. So it's not a direct connection, but it was the best way I could think to keep his memory alive."
"It wasn't just that, it was good. There isn't a whole lotta good here anymore, but your play was good. So I'm glad I got to be part of it," he said, trying to make up for what he'd said before, though he was still being genuine. "I brought up a school play once when I was real little. My dad woulda kicked my teeth in if he had better aim, but he still made me realize it wasn't a fuckin' option," he explained, laughing as if that weren't a horrible memory. "So your dad was an actor or somethin'?"

WHERE: The Daily Grind WHO: Hank (@houseoracastle)
Hank was a fairly easy man to track down, then again there weren't a lot of officers who patrolled the town. It hadn't really been hard to just keep an eye out for the man, especially with how tense the town was, most seemed to be watching the officers for any signs of news, either good or bad. He'd gotten a couple medical books from the town library and was on his way back when he spotted Hank walking into the coffee shop.
Figuring it was a good as chance as any he walked inside and got his own drink before glancing around. It was a lot more crowded than he planned it to be and debated leaving when he spotted Hank again at a lone table. Walking up he smiled sheepishly at him, "Hey sorry to bother you, but do you mind if I sit here? I just need to copy some stuff down so I can get these back in time," he said holding up one of the books.

Where: Pop & Lock Soda Shop Who: Monet + Pandora
Andy was on her way to the library for her weekly afternoon of researching all things monster when she decided to fuel up. She walked into the soda shop looking around for a place to sit down as she took few steps inside. She spotted Monet behind the counter and waved deciding to just sit on one of the high chairs there. "Hi Monet, how's your summer going?" she asked with a smile before thinking twice about all the weird stuff that's happened over it, "Well, all things considered" she added.
