•alright, let’s be real: when you hear the word “rave” what comes to mind? EDM? PLUR? Lasers? A collective of wide-eyed characters profusely gnawing at their lips?

•from the outside looking in, rave culture tends to pique the interest in others, exuding this unorthodox and free-spirited, yet, rebellious feel that surrounds it

•for some, they serve as a much-needed escape—a way to release pent-up stress and tension from daily work life

•for others, it’s a symbol of unruly & disorder, condemning their affiliation with substance use and partying in dimly lit warehouses where rules act more like suggestions

•being involved with the scene myself, its honestly a form of revolt. it’s like going against everything society told you to be—it’s raw, unfiltered freedom at its finest

•but you see, it was not all about the music

•rave culture is centered around inclusivity; serving as the blueprint for how music could move us beyond societal constructs, in addition to our cultural differences.

(that’s the secret sauce, my friend)

•it brought strangers together through this shared search for connection, search for belonging & search for community

•a shared collective search to belong to something far larger than themselves; and its rather beautiful, really

•however, living in a world that seems built to keep people apart, not so kewl

•the 90s were a mess—cultural differences, societal pressures, and economic divides. Right as people were desperate for an escape plan out, rave culture surfaced like a breath of fresh air. It was the cure for everything the outside world was doing wrong

•they were this unspoken way of breaking down societal divides—tossing them in the trash and letting the music connect everyone

•It became this melting pot where it didn’t matter if you were rich, broke, black, white, whatever

•and you know what? That mindset? It’s not confined to the rave. It’s something thats carried within each and every one of us. a mentality that brings out the best in people, to remind us of the connection we have been endlessly searching for 🌎🧠♻️

Bring Your Love is the second single, prior to the release of the anticipated 3rd album, Destroy The Magic from the Carlisle based electronica outfit who’ll be playing TWO legendary venues this week alone. An exclusive DJ set at Pikes in Ibiza then back over to the UK to play a LIVE PERFORMANCE at the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden in support of Teenage Cancer Trust

The album will see a release in October on the London based alternative / electronica based label, management company, Old World - New World

“Sometimes as either a writer or a producer you’re not particularly inspired by anything yet driven to just create something. I had a bet with a friend that I could write a song where the chorus hit within 50 seconds. As a lover of strong choruses, Bring Your Love was born around the bass line and the simple chorus line. It all came together so succinctly”, says Mark Zowie, the producer and songwriter of the band.
