Propaganda
No propaganda for Tetra yet
Hornblower's the most soggy wet pathetic man I've ever seen <3 He's got 56 mental illnesses and slowly goes from an albeit anxious but excited midshipman to a bitchy admiral

I love 18th century beef with France. It's honestly comical.

i love knuckles. he used to be a selfish and notorious pirate until he crashed into a rock trying to track down a powerful gem and was abandoned by his crew. after that he became a coward, got a new crew, and spent all day throwing parties and doing absolutely nothing productive until getting involved in a multidimensional conflict to get all the pieces of something called the paradox prism, and now he's possibly going back to his old ways.
This is the man. From Midshipman to Commodore we follow Hornblower's career as he gives himself, heart and soul, to his ships, his crew, and to England.

Interesting how often the Aubrey-Maturin and Hornblower series are compared when to me the vibes couldn't be more different... Reading the Aubreyad feels like a rejuvenating hang out experience with your best friends but reading Hornblower feels like working as an underpaid psychiatrist watching helplessly as your patient with every mental problem ignores all your advice and takes none of your prescriptions and digs himself into a hole deeper than you even knew was possible

The sign above the shop window read Harrister’s and Bush paused to gaze at the brightly lit display. He had no desire to go inside and would wait for his sister and Lady Barbara to disembark, hopefully flush with success.
The street lamps were already lit to provide help in the fog and Bush pulled out his watch to check the time. Half past three. Darkness would be heavy soon.
He had at least arrived at the right geographical location and could only hope that Lady Barbara’s coachman would have the ability to navigate the treacherous streets and arrive here in a timely manner.
His eye was caught by a flash of red in the window and he moved a little closer to examine it. Among the many high quality pieces of women’s garments, lay a fine cashmere scarf. It was one of those lovely rare true reds---the shade found on fat, round autumn apples, or perfectly ripe strawberries.
