So here was the final turnip in its dark glory. My first time carving a moot, luckily my experience cutting reliefs for print aided somewhat in the design and the coring out. Pumpkins definitely are easier, but less fun! Can't wait to try something more intricate next year. Also have to keep an eye out for the Swedes with the stalk still attached! Todays prompt is beetle - caraig. This seasonally coloured little fella, is also seasonal in its nature. Caraigh oanluckee translates as 'burial/funeral beetle'. It can seek out a corpse from miles away and then proceeds in burying it, and making a home in it for its mate and family.
