I'm rewatching stranger things again and god they were such babies in s1/2!! I'm on s2 like 206 to be exact and they were so little!! also I pretty much ship everything on this show except billy/steve just no okay no!! mileven, lumax, jopper and jancy are my otps but I also ship byler, stancy, ronance, elmax their all just so good!! but I'll riot if they kill jonathan in s5 srsly just no don't kill him off you underutilized him in s3&4 and now he's gonna have a big story in s5 so no ugh also lumax were so little and cute asf!! they are so underrated they deserve more love my bbs!!

After the news of the Stranger Things play came out, I thought one thing: Who knows what Hopper's Father was like? I imagine him to be the classic family man all of a piece, tough, strict to duty, conformist, suspicious and old-fashioned. And who always demanded a lot from his son, but without ever being satisfied.

So a very negative and present father figure who did not approve of his son's rebellion and friendships. In fact of the fourth season Hop says that he went to war, just to prove to his father that he was not as shitty as he thought.

So, yes a relationship that Hop finds very complicated even as an adult. It would be interesting to see Hopper's father in this play.

Random opinion but I dont want Hopper to be reinstated as police chief at the end of s5, I want him to just be some guy who came back from the dead and has a weird bald kid now and suddenly hes married to Joyce Byers??? Everytime someone asks him what happened he tells them a different story. Their family live in a dinky little cabin in the woods (a little bigger than before with some extra bedrooms). Joyce is the breadwinner, Hop lives off his huge annual government pay off and does odd jobs for people around town. He participates in the school's bake sales.
