The puppet behind the screen!

Here’s my entry for @frillsand au actor contest!

Hopefully I’m not too late!

Here’s a bit about him:

Hopper was an okay established actor as he did horror films before joining the welcome home cast. Due to his height, being around 9ft tall, it made him the perfect size to be the antagonist in all of his previous roles. His voice also helped as he normally has a friendly voice but can also range from creepy to downright haunting. However, due to his roles demanding he cover his face and do voiceover, he isn’t well established as his human counterparts and often gets forgotten in the cast.

How I think he was hired on welcome home:

he was looking for a new job, something to branch out from his horror career and do something fresh. That’s when he came across an opening for a casting of potential new characters. One was for a librarian and he sent out his application. Once he did, he was immediately called back for a recall and audition in front of the crew. The director and producer wanted to immediately cast him as he had experience working as an actor but wally didn’t really care who he was previous or not, he needed to see personally if he could be apart of the crew.

Hopper came in for his audition, and Wally could tell that he was a genuine guy as even though he towered over everyone, he would be at their level and make eye contact when he interacted with others. But being nice didn’t mean much to Wally, what mattered is whether or not her could do the role. Hopper did his best, being friendly and patient with the directors on what they wanted the librarian to be like. With hoppers gentle and friendly voice, they saw that he would be perfect for children to get along with and connect with the character. Wally was still on the fence but after seeing hopper interact with his friends and being patient with the children ( and producers and director pleading with him saying that he’d we easier to work with ) he finally agreed.

Previously before acting:

I liked to think that he was a barista in a coffee shop before hand in a library ( funny twist of fate. ) with all those arms.
