ally! i do not know how you do it but with every ducklings update you make me feel even more sorry for our fictional!matty - as i am unable to wrap that man in a blanket (him being fictional and all that) i must insist that fictional!george take up that responsibility as soon as possible bc the poor guy really needs it.

also i love what an unreliable narrator he is bc whilst its very sad to see how insecure he is about his relationships with everyone right now it is also very satisfying for me and my love of angst🫡 the way you portray his anxiety & how overwhelmed he is right now with like everything is so so good and i just hope he gets some fictional!george cuddles soon bc this man is really going thru it!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words about the new Ducklings chapter! Fictional!Matty is truly a disaster and a half and well... it will be a little bit longer until we get to the blanket wrapping part but it will happen eventually! He just needs to make it worse and make some bad decisions first.

I LOVE unreliable narrators omg Fictional!Matty in Ducklings is one of the worst ones (he is only rivaled by Fictional!George in ATKH lol) and I love that we sometimes get to visit someone else's prospective and they're just like... he... needs help lol (It's also fun because in ATKH we *only* see unreliable narrator Fictional!George... we have *no idea* what Fictional!Matty is really like - just how he looks through the Fictional!George lens!)

HELL YEAH TALK SHOP TUESDAY I love the entire concept of Talk Shop Tuesday SO MUCH, so thank you EXTRA MUCH for sending me an ask about it! I'm so happy to hear you're still enjoying Infection Verse Fictional!Matty and Fictional!George - while ATKH might be my favorite at the moment that universe is just, so special to me and I love them so much I don't know how I will ever leave them behind. Now to answer your questions:

I think that things will always be tense between Fictional!George and his middle sister Olivia - she's just *a lot* and doesn't know how to admit she is wrong / make the first step in making amends. However, she and her *much* younger boyfriend Henry eventually break up and Henry DOES reach out to Fictional!George and Fictional!Matty to apologize for his role in how unwelcome they felt that Christmas. He comes to their shows when they play in his city. Olivia does not. Amelia (the oldest sister) and her husband Jack, just continue to send Christmas cards as if nothing has changed and therefore, Fictional!George DOES leave them on the guest list. They eventually show up with Rose and Grace at a show. They're never *close* but they do have a relationship and see each other when they're in the same place (especially after Ava is born.)

so the first iteration of “we all implode” was set in a castle during the medieval era and the mc was a servant in that castle. it was originally titled “the godkings crown” (heavy is the head that wears it. etc) and yah it was gonna be like. a lot more murdery and scary because the godking is a being that took over the castle and it like…ate ppl w/ like zero discretion i think? dunno…😭

the first draft is technically based off an rp i did in the 9th grade w/ a friend at the time. technically amvrosiy is supposed to be the mc (im sure you all predicted that 🙄) but im pushing him aside lolll. and there were a few more characters i deleted. and there was a “supernatural rights” angle that im still not sure if im going to do anything w. probably not lol.

Stuck with u:

Lockdown.

Your town had a lockdown, so you and Kuroo had to stay inside for a few weeks, maybe months.

Kuroo hated to stay all the day in the house, he preferred going out with you on dates, or go out with friends, but now he had no other options than staying inside all the day, and hope that one day he could finally meet his friends again.

But if he was honest, he loved being with you. He loved you, and your presence, your voice, your touch, he just loved you. So maybe, the lockdown wouldn’t get very bad.

It was the first day of the quarantine, the first day of staying all day at home unless you had to get something at the store, or had a very important doctor's appointment.

“Babe please wake up I am bored” you whined out, placing your head on his back to use it as a pillow. He still could remember the first time you two slept in one bed, and it was also where you had one the exact thing for the first time. At first, he was surprised, but now it was just routine with you.

“I am deep asleep, I can’t hear you~” he hummed and just turned away from you with his head, but let your head on his back. It was something calming to him, knowing that you were comfortable with him, knowing that you were not afraid to do such things.

“Shut the fuck up” You grumbled out, picking your head up and wrapped then your arms around his upper body “I wanna eat~ Cook me something~” You hummed, making him laugh and turn finally around. For that you had to loosen your grip a little around him, so he could lay down on his back.

“I want to stay here all day though” he pulled you up to his chest, placing his chin on your head.

Got all this time on my hands Might as well cancel our plans, yeah I could stay here for a lifetime

“But Tetsu, I planned so many things for today” You could only keep whining, but he didn’t mind, it was sweet how you begged him to finally cook something for you.

“We have so much time now, can’t we just stay here a little longer?” “So, in other words, you wanna cancel all the things I planned for today just to stay the whole day in bed?” you asked just to make sure you didn’t misunderstand him. “Yes,” he hummed out, placing a soft kiss on your forehead.

You couldn’t say no to him, you couldn’t say no to your love, after all, he was right. You had all the time you wanted now, even if the lockdown would be only one week, or two weeks, it would be already enough for you two to catch up with your time you missed out due to work. By the way, the plans you had planned, were also mostly just cuddling on the couch while watching movies, maybe sometimes cook something together, clean the house since it really had to be cleaned one time.

But just staying in bed for today sounded more than perfect. “Fine” you breathed out, no whines this time, just a happy sigh following your words.

“We can get to know each other better” “What do you mean? You don’t know me yet?” You teased him and picked your head a little up to face him, making him laugh and his chest just vibrated with the laugh. It was infectious, and you just had to laugh with him. “I don’t mean it like that. We just had much work in the last days, and we barely talked” he told you, holding you closer. He used to be this sly guy, he used to like to tease you, maybe provoke you, but now he was just too whipped for you. He loved the thought of staying with you there forever, with just talking to you about how your day was because you hadn’t done this since forever.

“So, how were your last days? I hope work is not stressing you out too much, babe” he started to stroke your hair while pressing yet another kiss on your forehead.

“Not really good” the words were muffled, yet he still heard you clearly. “We had much work in the last weeks, you know because many people had to stay at home after vacation” you explained, a sigh following again while he kept on patting your head.

You both could stay like this forever, but sadly, you had to get up since you two got pretty hungry, and you kept on pestering him to cook with you since you didn’t want to leave his side for today.

So you two made your way to the kitchen, usually, you two would rush, you two would just try to spend as less time as possible at home in the mornings since the time never stopped and seemed to go against you two. Work always chased you two, so you just had to hurry.

But luckily, this time, you could just enjoy the time together, cooking and spending time together, being all lovely and dovely.

“What will we have for breakfast today?”

“Pancakes!” You exclaimed and he could only chuckle, walking up to you and wrapped his arms around you from behind, then placed his chin on your shoulder. “Babe, can we go back into bed?” He whispered into your ear, with the deep and raspy voice you knew too well, yet it still made you shiver a little every time he did that. “No, I wanna eat” you huffed out, making him sigh and just pinch your sides, to maybe get you to laugh. “alright. Fine” He didn’t seem very satisfied with your answer, which made you laugh once again.

He only looked to the side, before smirking.

The smirk which told you that he had a stupid thought in his mind, the same smirk he also had as he threw you once into a pool with your clothes because he thought it would be funny to see your reaction.

“You know, you are really hot while you are cooking~” he hummed, turning back to you to see your reaction. But sadly, you were used to his flirty words. “Thanks” you simply replied, because you loved pushing him to the edge, just like he did it sometimes to you.

Instead of helping you, he just annoyed you, teased you, sometimes made stupid comments about how hot you looked while doing this and that, but that’s the thing you missed the most about you two. These times where you just annoyed each other, out of love, where you just teased each other.

“Look, there is no one on the streets” he chuckled after looking out, and your gaze followed his. He was right, no one was there, not even a single soul, there still had been a few cars, probably because they had to get something from the store, or because they had to work and not from home.

“It looks like the end of the world,” You told him and a small smile tugged over your lips before you went back to cooking.

“Yes, and there is honestly no other way I want to spend the end of the world” He hummed, planting a sweet, yet so soft and short kiss on your scalp which made you smile even more, maybe even grin. “You are being soft again” you teased him, to which you received a flick on your forehead for your tease. “Shut up and just enjoy the time here” he huffed at you, making you laugh again.

Yes, you two definitely missed those times, where you would just do nothing the whole day, and just talk to each other. So this quarantine gave you all the time you needed to catch up with those late night talks, with those cuddles, movies, serials, and of course, catch up with your love.

Prompt 85 & 107 | “If you die, I’m going to kill you.” & “Doesn’t make a difference to me anyways.” | Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling

“You have all your things?” Ma-ma asked for the fifth time and stuffed more roasted nuts into his pack.

“I have them,” Jin Ling quickly reassured her, again, and took her hands to kiss them. He grinned wide to let her know he wasn’t lying. “I’ll be alright, ma-ma. It’s just a regular hunt, not even a night hunt. And I’ll have jiu-jiu with me.”

Her eyes went teary, the way they did each time she looked at Jiang Cheng, the brother she thought she’d lost so long ago. He tended to stay in raven form around her so as not to make her cry because of his looks and mask, just as he was now, perched as a fluffed up ball of feathers on Jin Ling’s saddle.

“And he will take care of you,” she said, all confidence, and drew Jin Ling down to kiss his forehead, the way she’d always done. “But still. If you die, I am going to kill you.”

It was a real threat too, coming from her, and Jin Ling shared a knowing look with his ba-ba, who was still hopelessly lost on her after so many years, but knew enough to respect her threats even more than he loved her.

There were worse things, Jin Ling supposed, than having a mother who had the ability to be rather terrifying.

Jin Ling set his foot in the stirrup and flung onto his horse’s back, waving down at his parents as Jiang Cheng fluttered up to perch on his hand like he was a well trained falcon, not a grumpy uncle.

“I think she stuffed the whole kitchen into my saddlebags,” Jin Ling said once they were out of the city gates and fully into the woods. The eerie violet eyes he’d known for so long looked amused, even in a bird’s face, and Jiang Cheng made a soft chuffing sound in agreement. Jin Ling wondered if it had been the same for when Jiang Cheng had been human and chasing off after Uncle Wei. Did ma-ma weigh his pack down too with all the treats she could carry?

The road stretched out before him and Jin Ling grinned, feeling that itch in his soul that wanted to fly. The best he could do astride was allow his mare to gallop, which she did in a burst of speed. Jiang Cheng took to the air, soaring at his side, and for a blissful small eternity, the world was exactly the way he’d always dreamed it would be, the way it was meant to be.

Sundown found them building a fire - or rather, Jiang Cheng teaching Jin Ling to build a fire. He’d taken his more human form again, but firmly kept the mask on, even refusing the usual bladder full of blood Jin Ling had brought for him. His inquires had gotten him nothing but grunts thus far, but he knew eventually his jiu-jiu’s thirst would take over and he would have to start drinking. Hopefully that would lead to proper talking. Well, as proper as they got speaking through hands, anyway.

He was halfway through a cooked fish he’d caught when Jiang Cheng finally gave in. The sound of the bladder was still gross, as was the slurping and the smell, but it was also familiar and easily ignored. Jin Ling could even watch now without feeling sick, feeling like they were sharing a meal, dining in some nice place, just the two of them.

Jiang Cheng looked like ma-ma, in a way. Sharper featured, where ma-ma was soft. They had the same nose, though it looked dignified on Jiang Cheng, when it just made her lovely. Jin Ling had the same nose.

“You know it doesn’t bother me, right?” he asked, soft, more into the fish than properly at his jiu-jiu. But he knew direct questions were sometimes best not asked with eye contact. He wasn’t sure why, but it worked best that way when it came to his emotional uncle. “What you are. It’s all I know you to be.”

Jiang Cheng stared down at the fire a long moment before his hands slowly lifted, dark nails dancing in the firelight. It was always amazing to Jin Ling how elegant Jiang Cheng could make the movements, even with such scary claws.

“I make her cry,” was how he answered and Jin Ling knew immediately what Jiang Cheng was getting at. “So I don’t show my face. I am not her A-Cheng anymore.”

The A-Cheng was a special blend, one Jin Ling only knew because of a long week when he was fourteen that Jiang Cheng had altered his own signed name to A-Ling. The swooping curve was the same, only with Jiang Cheng’s name after it now.

“But you’re still her brother. Still my jiu-jiu,” Jin Ling pointed out. “Of course she cries. She’s mourned you a long time and now all you do is hide.”

Sharp now, quick and angry. “You wouldn’t understand.”

“You’re right, I don’t,” Jin Ling huffed, cheeks puffing in irritation. You are still you, no matter what you are. Your heart is still Jiang Wanyin. You are still my jiu-jiu.”

“But I am not her A-Cheng.”

“That shouldn’t stop you from being her brother,” Jin Ling said, firm on that. “Doesn’t make a difference what you are, not to me anyways. It doesn’t matter to her either. She’s just happy to have you back. So let her have you back.”

Jiang Cheng looked rebellious and Jin Ling wanted to laugh because that was where he’d gotten it from. But slowly Jiang Cheng deflated and reached up to snap his mask back into place.

“I’ll try,” he sighed, looking sad, but hopeful too, and that’s what really mattered here.

Jin Ling nodded to that, satisfied. “Good. That’s all I ask. Well, that, and that you help me find the biggest, most ferocious beast to hunt down and take home. A-Song bet me two silvers that I wouldn’t catch anything and I have to prove him wrong.”

Jiang Cheng shot him a very done look at that, making him laugh.

This, he decided, wiping his eyes as he was shoved over - this was the life he truly wanted, a life with the chances to make his family proud… all of his family.

Natsume yuujinchou  (a teenage orphan who sees spirits/monsters sets out to free the spirits who were bound in magical contract by his grandmother after he inherits a powerful book, aided primarily by a spirit who appears as an exasperated fat cat (who is just as fun as he sounds). Titular character is like my Fave boy in the whole world, he’s so kind and soft despite all the hardships he’s faced, the series has very gentle pacing/character development, and each episode is a carefully crafted lil story that have often moved me to tears, chuckles, or outright chinhands of fondness as u watch natsume slowly find a home in the world and amongst the humans &spirits around him. big focus on friendships, there’s like no romance with any of the main characters, lots of cool different creatures (most of whom arent all that scary once u get to know them), its just literally everything i could ever dream for in a show and it exists! <3)

Leverage (team of modern day robin hoods ruin rich peoples’ lives via  delightfully crafted spy cons to give back to the regular folks the rich people hurt. Extremely good, strong found family vibes, and v cathartic)

Brooklyn 99 (follows diverse cast of character who make up a NY precinct. Hilarious, immensely wholesome & groundbreaking, & probs the most lighthearted crime show besides like psych tbh)

Blackspot/Zone Blanche (spoopy french/belgium crime series set in a small village way out in the mountains surrounded by misty, mysterious and murdery woods. eerie and atmospheric, but also like one of my fave characters (everyone calls him teddy bear) keeps a pet guinea pig at work, so it’s not entirely grim and bleak)

Longmire (a modern western crime drama centering around the titular sheriff and others in their small town wyoming county, well written and lot of chracter development revealed alongside some really good case mysteries bc i love trying to figure out whodunits apparently based on a book series well adored by dads btw)

who is your favorite character in 2? (leverage) ahhh,,, this is hard... Eliot maybe? like Hardison is baby ofc, but i relate to elliot a ton (i think if i was on a team i would want to be the hitter tbh?) and love the subversion of so many action hero tropes that he is, also endlessly amused by how very put upon he is despite all his rad/random skills

who is your least favorite character in 1? (natsume yuujinchou) oh seiji matoba for sure, he can go eat a mouldy tree stump. absolutely evil nasty dude

what is your favorite episode of 4? (blackspot) the end of the road. great opening, didnt end up too devastating unlike a lot of the cases, Hermann was gr8, cool twist i hadnt super expected in the plot which was neat.

what is your favorite season of 5? (longmire) probs 1, walter reeally started to piss me off being Such A Man in later seasons, also me being extremely anxious about Henry and his life choices later, that creepy stalker storyline starting up with Someone and when Someone else in the main cast got died really suddenly and upsettingly later on as well, also when a weird relationship started between some of the characters that i really aint feeling so. before all that happened was nice (also sorry if this is super vague, im trying to avoid spoilers)

who is your favorite couple in 3? (B99) Besides Jake/Amy and Holt/Kevin (bc oviously theyre gr8) uh.. i know it was a long time ago and didnt last very long, but i thought rosa and marcus were really sweet? it brought another layer out to her character, even when they broke up that helped rosa starting to show emotional vulnerability and all, even tho it ended it was still just, idk, i liked them.

who is your favorite couple in 2? (leverage) Does trio count, cos Parker/Eliot/Harding 4 life yo

what is your favorite episode of 1? (natsume yujinchou) i have sooo many faves ahhh!!! i dont think i could pick just one on pain of death, every episode is acrefully cosntructed gem all on its own and i have too many that i love and adore to pick jsut one :((

what is your favorite episode of 5? (longmire) Dog soldier!! ive rewatched that one a ton, so so many good bits, really satisfying resolution of the case despite the shitty system that was revealed, and i rmr getting chills by the end the first time i saw it.

what is your favorite season of 2? (leverage) i guess season 1? just, idk, everything being set up and watching all these grumpies/less grumpies who have no plans to stay together start working together as a baby team, and just the joy of seeing their first heist together with the first plot twist, just.. such a delight, but all seasons that ive seen so far were all excellent, it’s a stellar show

how long have you watched 1? (natsume yujinchou) oh idk exactly, like years and years man... defs the longest out of all on this list

how did you become interested in 3? (b99) i think it was just on netflix way back in season 1 and i started watching it, loved it and never stopped? i think that might have even been before it got rlly popular lol

who is your favorite actor in 4? (blackspot) i dont rlly know any of these french peeps? but teddybear’s one of my fave characters, so hopefully the person who plays him is also cool, in which case hubert delattre (if not, Suliane Brahim does a v good job as the lead)

which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? (natsume yujinchou, leverage or longmire) um... real torn between natsume and leverage here, they’re both such lovely gems that do found family so, so well.. leverage is a team of modern robin hood-esque spies with brilliant writing and exciting heists and multiple delightful plot twists every episode and great character building and so much catharticism in ruining evil rich peoples lives.

but natsume’s title character is one of my very favorite characters ever, hes been through so much but he becomes the most kindest and thoughtful boy ever, and its so, so soft and gentle in its development of characters and their slow build of getting to know each other and becoming friends, and the interactions with the paranormal world are very rarely entirely malicious/scary, and there’s pretty well no romance, at least like no romance for plot/with the main characters anyways, and there’s lots of female characters who have important roles but arent sexualized/killed off for man feels/exist for romo (which sadly cannot be said about a lot of media, especially manga/anime tbh, even leverage does not win entirely on that front).. its defintiely my favorite anime ever (i dont watch loads, but literally no other one can ever come close to topping its perfection),

i guess tho, leverage is over, and natsume is still technically ongoing, so i guess for that then i have to go with natsume?

which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? (natsume yuujinchou or b99) Natsume for sure, they’re so short its easy to power thru like half a season in an afternoon

if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? (blackspot) i would probably want to be someone who didnt live in villefranche actually haha uh, it’s a pretty spoopity place.. even some of the characters i do like make some Bad decisions that are v bothersome. (natsume yujinchou) hm... i mean, one of the things i love about Natsume is that there arent really any romo relationships tbh? at least not with any of the main characters in the main storyline (so far), just like the odd one-off of minor characters (and takashi’s adopted parents ofc, but that’s different). so, yeah, i cant really think of one (although i think the big fandom fave ship of takashi and his worst enemy is rlly.. nope, and i dont know what’s going on there? takashi and tanama however, that would make sense, tho it is not unlikely so i cant answer this question with them)

my canvas sizes are all different, it depends on the individual picture! i usually open a canvas in sai with a few thousand pixels x a few thousand pixels but the picture itself is always smaller, and i simply crop the picture at the end before saving.

i think it's an nct thing? it's why i never get tired of them bc they're always active in a way. you should've seen how things went down last year! march 127 album, april dream mini-album, may 127 repackage, june wayv album and the whole nct 2020 thing. it was a wild year. about the track, i listened to it once and forgot about it. might give it a few more listens but it might not grow on me at all. yes! wasn't a big fan of hot sauce at first too bc i thought the intro was weird (not jaemin's part, like the first thing that plays). and yes, that hook loops in my head 24/7. i even made it my instagram bio.
