I watched some Buffy again. I picked up from where I last left off - Season 1 Episode 5. I was about halfway through the episode already and I just finished it.

I will probably try to keep watching, in between going back to my most "safe" things (AKA Heathers the Musical bootleg).

And still doing my Stranger Things rewatch. Just taking my time with it more.

I have forgotten a lot of what happens in Buffy, especially earlier seasons. So I think it is good timing to watch again now.

And also I just can't wait until Tara shows up!! She is my very much favourite. (Still got a while until she comes on screen though!).

Also, this is perfect timing because I've been dying to get back to my fic but October was crazy (to put it mildly) with gifs. I hope I can be just as stubborn with writing in November and write every day because I have IDEAS.

(Seriously, though, I have an idea for something set about the time of the epilogue as a short AU/what if that snowballed so I'm very excited to get to that.)

Anyway, I am always rewatching Headless and always thinking of fic things because this world is one of my favourite things. It's SO. FRICKIN'. GOOD!

hi I am still not normal about how we never get much of an epilogue for Emily and Corvo in the second game we are told how the rule turned out and that Emily is the beloved empress now but nothing beyond that and I get that the entire game is very much built on that I get that the first game we have close relationship with Emily and become fond of the staff that work with the Loyalists so we feel alone because we do not quite see eye to eye with our allies and all we have left is this little innocent child that sees Corvo as someone who can do no wrong in this world which is strongly contrasted with the second game where Emily (or Corvo) has few trusted allies that they can actually rely on and it feels like a group of almost-friends working to dismantle the conspiracy but at the very end of it all Emily is all alone, even her return to the Tower is so much more grim, her taking down Delilah, the entirety of Dunwall- it all feels so incredibly and thoroughly isolating, she is all Alone now, and maybe that's why it bothers me so much to see the story end so abrupty.

it would've been so, so poetic if both the first and the second game ended with Corvo and Emily embracing

I watched my 4K copy of Heathers today and loved it. So glad I could finally watch one of my fav movies in the highest quality.

Watching this movie in UHD helped me notice details I never noticed before. For example, Heathers uses different lighting effects/filters to match the tone of each scene and that's way more visible in the 4K release. I never noticed that detail before. It's a symbolic way of transitioning from a lighter story to a darker story.

The artwork used for the box art is also incredible. I dig this art style so much.
