It saddens me to see how people are so restricted by their self-limiting beliefs, so shackled by what "others" think of them. It took me a long time to arrive at the doorstep of this wonderful anthem, "Don't listen to them, they don't know you like you do..." We may feel frustrated and infuriated by such fears and judgements, but knowing that these reactions come from a past of being hurt and betrayed, a past where trust was plundered by some vagabond soul, helps to detox my own judgement and stand still enough in this whirlwind of he says she says, and I am grateful for the universal assignment for my spiritual growth, for teaching me how to meet such mortal moments with love and compassion, and to lean always into love and truth. #rosetintedthoughts #loveandlight #hopeandgrace #meditation #satnam #theuniversehasyourback #judgementdetox #believe #motivation (at Myeongdong Shopping Street)

23/9: how fitting that it was #worldgratitudeday as I found myself super psyched up by a free 15-minute shoulder massage in the office and then supercharged by this superwoman @refashioned! I truly miss this #vegetarian place in #eslite #taipei! I had a true experience of #kindnessofstrangers here that I will never ever forget. I was there to grab lunch and was planning to pay by credit card as I had no NT with me. They only accepted cash and I thought I was fucked, with a long queue behind me. I told them I only had HKD with me, and the kind auntie said in sotto voce that okay, they can accept HKD, and was actually apologetic because they could not then issue a receipt. I mean, I should be apologising! So after conversion it amounted to 80HKD, but I only had 100 or 50. And she said okay, she will take 50. I mean!! And all with so much compassion and empathy in her tone. I literally was so grateful for this encounter. It really reinforces the truth of karma and the #universehasyourback when you truly believe and let go of judgement and do good. This picture was taken right before I realised that my wallet was stolen while I was mesmerised - literally - by the wondrous scenery at #keukenhof. I was so sure I had lost everything when the horror dawned on me that I had become one of the walking "tourist cliché in Europe" and went running back to the scene of the crime. Distinctly remembering how a thought "Hmm, why does my handbag feel so much lighter" at one point, I went back and was losing hope when my sister found my wallet right by a garbage bin. Money - all of them including my HKD - gone, and yet all else like my credit cards and ID were all still intact. I wondered what the pickpocket was thinking, but more than ever I also thank the heavens and stars and earth for this twist of luck. I am grateful the universe has saved my arse and even though I lost a great deal of cash (sighssssss), I also gained a great deal of awareness, gratitude, and am reminded to be ever present, and of how truly fortunate I am.
