This is a scene from Michelle's But most of it was beautiful, one of my absolute favorite fics, that I know she put a lot of love and care into! I remember this scene of TK reading the poem "Firefly under the tongue" by Coral Bracho to Carlos was one of your favorites (and mine too) and I thought it would be perfect as a picture!

You have a love-hate relationship with the annual JVA awards dinner.

Halfway through your bland-and-inoffensive meal, the fourth round of speeches begins. There’s a video presentation. The stock music is identical to the last two years. Across the table from you, Bokuto Kotaro wolfs down his third dinner roll in half an hour.

Oh, and your husband is stroking your inner thigh through the slit in your dress.

You shift your weight from one hip to the other, discreetly trying to give Tetsuro a slightly better angle without putting yourself in an unbecoming position.

You notice his catlike grin, and the way he glances between your unfinished meal and your overheated face. “How’s the food?”

Caught between letting out a pitiful whimper and smacking him, it takes all your strength to reply, “Could be better.”

That makes his grin grow. He leans in, presses a kiss right below your sparkling earring, and whispers. “Lucky for you, I’ve got a better idea.”

Such is how you end up in the men's room (because it’s easier to justify ‘the line was too long’ for you than to come up with any reason for Tetsuro to be in the ladies’ room that wouldn’t result in his termination). You’re on your knees in the largest stall with Tetsuro’s suit jacket between you and the floor (‘Why would I let my wife kneel on a public bathroom floor?’). Your dress is on, at his insistence, and your mouth is full of his rock-hard, throbbing cock.

Alongside your arousal, pride swells in your stomach. You did this to him. You made him so insatiable, that he couldn’t stand sitting through another second of speeches before stuffing your mouth.

He grips your chin, long fingers pressed into either of your cheeks. You work him like you know only you can, like only you ever has; in what feels like seconds, he’s rocketing toward the edge, propelling right off of it until he’s not just seeing stars—he’s among them.

Heavy breaths. Shallow thrusts into your mouth. Head hitting the cold tile behind him, looking for respite from the heat. A beautiful keen tearing from the back of his throat.

“C’mon, Pretty; don’t make a mess,” he pants. He rubs his thumb into one of your cheeks, and a few stray beads of his come dribble down your lips, forced from your mouth.  “Swallow.”

I like to think that the nations have multiple ways for people to send them questions. Like a professional ask blog or they’ll give their addresses to elementary/middle schools so that students especially can ask whatever they want to know about a country’s history from a primary source. That would be cool in their universe I think

its like 2 am and i have school at 8:30 so ill make this quick but i have to get this out of my system

OK so imagine like, a reader whose academic rivals with dottore but, not really

like at first glance he thinks the reader is just, there because they have to be, be it overbearing parents or whatever, because they're constantly staring off into space, turning in half finished assignments (the only amount finished was the ones they gave time to do in class) fiddling with whatever, and so on

but then dottore is?? perplexed because the reader constantly gets higher grades with tests than anything else, at first he thinks "oh lmao they're cheating" but!? they're not!? he eventually finds out that the reader just finds assignments to be "unnecessary padding" and how they wish they could just do a bunch of tests and get over it.. idk maybe they enjoy the labs too, putting sodium in water to cause a scare because the reader is a hashtag icon

cue, dottore who's kinda, not upset but peeved because, "you have so much potential!! but never use it!! how could you smh!! jail for a thousand years!!" or something, so in defiance, and trying to dethrone you in the test scores department, he eventually gets 100%s on all the tests but is more upset because!! the reader doesn't mind??? his brain is short-circuiting and angry flustered dottore is my favorite flavor of dottore - 🎈

UNBOTHERED READER I LOVE IT... He literally didn't care about you at all and thought you were just another one of those mediocre scholars but then?? You have the audacity to score higher than him? Logically, he shouldn't even care because his grades in the Akademiya aren't what matters to him, it's his own research but there's something about you that just irks him? Like, you aren't like the other scholars who start jumping for joy when they do well. You're just like "oh cool" like this is just a normal occurrence. And it sure as hell is not because the Akademiya makes scholars cry on a daily basis!

And then Dottore develops a sort of fascination with you. He wants to know how smart you are. If there's anything beyond the surface that's interesting. And boy if he's just a lil bit surprised!! To think there's someone like this at this institution full of stupidity!! He wonders, do you have an ulterior motive like him? Surely you do? Because you simply cannot be wasting your potential along with this worthless lot.

Oh and when he finally beats you? All you do is come up to him and give him a little pat on the shoulder, congratulate him, and walk away. (Maybe you slipped him a little paper with a meeting time though ;) He's infuriated and flustered at the same time.

You feel antsy. 

Your relationship with Hoseok has been an absolute whirlwind since day one. And now, after an incredible year of knowing one another, you are in a rental car in the busy, snowy streets of Gwangju, South Korea, on your way to meet his parents. 

You almost came here back in February when Hoseok visited for Lunar New Year, but it had been too long since he had been back home, and you felt strange about tagging along. You still feel strange about it, but Hoseok was so sweetly emphatic about you coming that you couldn't bring yourself to stay in your shared apartment all alone. 

Although it would certainly not be a repeat of last Christmas in any sense of the word, it is hard not to think about past holiday events with the ex, and with the family you never felt like you fit in with. What if this visit feels the same? What if you feel just as out of place on the other side of the world as you had on the other side of the country? What if there is nowhere that feels right?

Hoseok must be able to sense your nerves, and he reaches over the center console of the rental car, firmly holding your hand while keeping the other on the steering wheel. You smile but you can tell that it is unconvincing. Hoseok chuckles. 

"Don't look so scared, marshmallow," he teases, giving your hand a squeeze. "My mom can't wait to meet you. Whenever I call, she tells me all about how happy she is that you will be here."

You believe Hoseok—how could you not? His family has been nothing but welcoming, even from such a great distance.

"I shouldn't tell you this," Hoseok says conspiratorially, mouth stretched into a wide smile while his eyes stay on the road, "it was meant to be a surprise, but when I told mom about your gift from last year, she became excited to have you cook with her."

Words fail you, and you open your mouth to flounder through shapes of syllables before landing on, "Wh— me?"

With another chuckle and another gentle squeeze, Hoseok glances at you briefly to say, "Yes, you. She hasn't stopped talking about it. So I hope you are ready to learn some family recipes, because she takes it seriously."

The idea would be daunting if it weren't so heartwarming. Hoseok's mother wants you to join her in the kitchen while she prepares food for the family holiday dinner. She trusts you to help her.

"Besides, my sister won't lift a finger in the kitchen, so I know she will appreciate having you there."

At this, you laugh, feeling weight lift from your shoulders as joy explodes from your chest. 

You tease, "Oh, so I'm just a replacement for your sister, hmm?" while your eyes never leave Hoseok's profile. 

He waggles his eyebrows, then glances at you and begins to laugh. This is always the way things are with Hoseok: light and fun. 

"How much longer?" you ask, eyes taking in the tall snow-covered apartment buildings and the bustling sidewalks filled with pedestrians and shoppers. You had just asked less than five minutes ago, and can surmise that the answer has only changed by the same amount. 

"Patience, marshmallow," Hoseok teases. "We're getting there."

Patience is a lot easier said than done, and you sigh dramatically, making Hoseok laugh once more. Rather than respond, you take in the calmness of the soft song playing on the radio accompanied by Hoseok's melodic happiness. 

"I'm excited," you say softly after a long moment while your gaze drops to your conjoined hands. Emotion swells, and you feel a bit choked up as your mouth stays in a smile. 

Hoseok says, "Good." Nice and simple. And you couldn't agree more. 

Everything feels good.
