WHO — seren nist & meric arorjia ( @courtfallen ) WHERE — tavern
Tumblr media
SEREN MADE IT NO SECRET THAT she felt most at home in a tavern or a forge. generally, if she was drinking alone, she liked to keep it that way. if she came with a friend she was more likely to get friendlier as her drink emptied. drinking alone? that meant she was only getting feistier per empty cup. and it happened to be a night drinking alone.
being trapped only made her more wary, carrying twice as many, even going to far as to not bother concealing them for quicker use. however, she still had plenty concealed under sleeves and hems. she had just finished her second drink she felt a hand on her shoulder. the body remembered actions the mind forgot. she was quick to stand and quicker to pull a dagger to the new presence's abdomen.
his face was vaguely familiar but not enough for her to draw her dagger back. ❝ what business do you have with me? ❞ her eyes narrowed as she scanned his face. she'd sold him something, hadn't she? it didn't matter. he wasn't from the autumn court and right now that meant an enemy. things were too chaotic to be trusting. her past had taught her that much.

Jayce Talis' Joycean Epiphany
Tracking the textual similarities between James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Jayce's character journey, specifically in Arcane season 2, episode 7.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As time goes on, my appreciation for Jayce's arc only grows, and I think episode 7 captures the best of the showrunners' narrative concision and cohesion. Within that perfect storm I noticed a lot of similarities between Jayce and James Joyce's main character, Stephen Dedalus, who spends the 1916 classic shedding attachments to the material world in pursuit of ultimate freedom, including monikers of creed and country and friendship, captured in his famous epiphany.
This isn't a perfect mapping, but comparing Stephen's epiphany to Jayce's meeting with Mage Viktor is pretty enlightening/interesting! More below!
Tumblr media
The Joycean Epiphany
Stephen Dedalus' epiphany occurs in the last third (ish) of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and happens as follows: Stephen, consumed with anxiety, loneliness, and confusion about his place in the world, finds himself wandering toward the ocean. He steps knee-deep inside and sees the figment of a woman out of reach, who he describes as a "strange and beautiful seabird" who awakens him to "the wild heart of life." The Bird Woman inspires Stephen to shake off material attachments to nationality and religion, as well as to break off personal relationships in order to arrive at his true self, which he must do in isolation. This is the most egregiously brief synopsis possible...
Jayce's journey in Arcane does, in fact, follow a very normal, non-epiphanic arc in general; I'm not merging Stephen and Jayce together here. Instead I want to call attention to the visual cues and specific plot points that truly give me pause and think/hope they were intentionally building this parallel.
The Irish Coastline, the Undercity Grey
In Portrait, there is great emphasis attached to the sea's physicality as Stephen enters the waters. He's permeated a barrier as the tide wrestles with him:
"In a few moments he was barefoot...and, picking a pointed salteaten stick out of the jetsam among the rock, he clambered down the slope of the breakwater."
Jayce also permeates, with a lot of struggle, pain, and anguish, a physical barrier/obstacles - the Grey, which we see as a thick green miasma throughout the Undercity in this timeline, and the Fissures he's fallen into. Interestingly enough, Jayce also has a pointed stick that's figuratively eaten by the Anomaly. Not salt, by any means, but each character takes up a damaged implement at the onset of their journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Epiphanic Figures
In Portrait, Stephen is drawn into the water towards the woman who inspires his epiphany: "A girl stood before him in midstream, alone and still, gazing out to sea."
Within the Grey, Jayce encounters Viktor as the mage, staring at him with his face obscured. When he turns and leaves, he prompts Jayce into action, thus spurring the epiphany, the necessary movement through the Grey.
Tumblr media
Upon his approach, Stephen describes his epiphanic woman: Her long fair hair was girlish, and touched with the wonder of mortal beauty, her face..."
Tumblr media
"...and when she felt his presence and the worship of his eyes her eyes turned to him in quiet sufferance of his gaze, without shame or wantonness."
Tumblr media
In Portrait, Stephen never reaches his Bird Woman; she remains out of reach, just like his ultimate freedom will remain until he commits to his quest for self-discovery. Similarly, Jayce and Mage Viktor never touch, despite Viktor and Jayce's established physical intimacy.
The Quest
Stephen spends the remainder of Portrait systematically shedding what he feels are restraints to his true self. If you haven't read Portrait, there is a lot, a lot, a LOT of syncretic philosophies wedged inside, Platonic, Aristotelean, Aurelian, etc., to showcase Stephen coming into his own intellectually and emotionally. But the way he describes this quest, when speaking to his best friend, Cranly, is key when comparing him to Jayce:
"You made me confess the fears that I have. But I will tell you also what I do not fear. I do not fear to be alone or to be spurned for another or to leave whatever I have to leave. And I am not afraid to make a mistake, even a great mistake, a lifelong mistake and perhaps as long as eternity too."
Jayce, inspired by his own Bird Woman, the Mage, sets out on his quest of ultimate solitude, wherein he traumatically relives his past mistakes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But now, with Mage Viktor's wisdom and an understanding of what's to come, Jayce finally becomes a powerful and independent force. He doesn't rely on his betters or outside approval. He attacks Mel for her past treatment of himself and Viktor as tools/investments for her will. He will leave behind the comfort and privilege of his old life. In order to do what needs to be done to save Piltover, Jayce is willing to make those mistakes, to sustain on his own, etc., when he was never willing to do so before.
"Alone, Quite Alone"
Nobody asked, but my favorite scene in Portrait is the last dialogue between Stephen and Cranly, whom Stephen frequently describes as his closest friend, and whose opposition to Stephen's departure he considers the most. Try as he might to be sympathetic, Cranly struggles to understand why Stephen can't relent and warns him of what will happen to Stephen if he takes on his quest: "And to not have any one person...who would be more than a friend, more even than the noblest and truest friend a man ever had."
Cranly tells Stephen that "you need not look upon yourself as driven away...or as a heretic or an outlaw." He invites him to stay, to return.
Tumblr media
And Stephen is grieved by this: "A voice spoke softly to Stephen's lonely heart, bidding him go and telling him that his friendship was coming to an end..."
Tumblr media
"...Yes; he would go. He could not strive against another. He knew his part."
Tumblr media
In killing Viktor as the Herald, Jayce has fully accepted loneliness and the necessary suffering it incurs on others. Guided by Mage Viktor, his own Bird Woman epiphany, he plays his part in the fate set before him.
In this moment, the Herald Viktor is Jayce's Cranly: "Stephen watched [Cranly's] face for some moments in silence. A cold sadness was there..."
Tumblr media
"...He had spoken of himself, of his own loneliness which he feared."
Tumblr media
*To note, Stephen's epiphanic realization amounts to isolation for his own benefit, whereas Jayce endures isolation and commits these "mistakes" (killing Viktor) for the greater good - very important difference!
Regaining Cranly
This same idea comes across every time I post about Arcane season 2: subversive endings. And while my opinion of the season has been on the downturn, I will never cheapen the shock and awe of the Mage Viktor reveal, and I will always find new ways to break it down and appreciate it.
In Portrait, Stephen leaves Ireland, his religion, and his loved ones behind. Stephen asks Cranly to clarify what he means by his talk of loneliness: "'Of whom are you speaking?' Cranly did not answer." In the essential modernist way, Stephen seeks out the independent soul amidst the masses.
Jayce, meanwhile, uses his newfound autonomy and sense of self for the greater good. He followed his epiphanic figure as Stephen did, and abandoned his Cranly, for a higher goal than self actualization.
Tumblr media
And that's where this comparison just about falls apart.
Because Jayce and Viktor are "inextricably bound," the fundamental crux of the epiphany - its independence - isn't possible. Jayce guides his Cranly away from "his own loneliness which he feared." He invites Viktor to partake in his epiphany and they complete the quest together.
Tumblr media
the end <3
I'm excited about this comparison! And I know I'm offering a very cursory read of Portrait here. I actually wrote about it for my latest conference CFP so it's fresh on the mind. And a lot of these comparisons can be chalked up to Joyce's just General Narrative Influence, that he refined this exact mode of quest -> self discovery -> loneliness, but we're here to have fun, not to submit to a journal lol.

one thing that really fascinates me about alex is his devotion to art – and more specifically, how he chooses to get some inspiration from scientific works of what he aims to implement in his art. every time one gets to examine some of his lyrics, or even how he explains these lyrics in an interview, they can be greeted by some bits of actual scientific information. an example is how he named his taquería on the moon with the term “information-action ratio”, coined by the critic neil postman, and referenced it in the song four out of five, something that might also indicate an interesting articulation with postman's concept. the line “cute new places keep on popping up”, for example, can express his well-known sardonic discontent regarding the flood of information being generated and transmitted over and over and, as much as it seems visually appealing and does give the idea of benefiting from advanced technologies, it doesn't really add anything substantial to the receiver's critical thinking – and worse, it distances the information receiver from the sender in a communication channel, according to postman.
what i'm saying with this interpretation is, it's known that alex is enamoured with the idea of gathering a bunch of references and condensing them into a mixture of metaphors in his writing, but it's so thrilling how, at times, we can find some bits of science inside of it – and it's even more exciting, just like playing a puzzle game, to find these references and analyse them by doing a similar research to what he did to create his works.

i'm curious. you mentioned kuroba living in an iyashi-kei, so do they also see the characters differently (art style wise)? cause if so, i 100% understand why they fell for karamatsu.
YESSS, i think it'd be really fun if them being meant for another genre extends to how they see the world around them. i do wanna clarify that kuroba isn't exactly living in a iyashikei, they're more so a character meant to be a iyashikei protag stuck as a side character in a slapstick gag universe. if that makes sense? dude's basically in the wrong genre.
anyways, here's how i think they'd see themself & karamatsu!
Tumblr media
i drew inspiration from a few different places, mostly seizo watase & studio colorido's work ( along with wandering son for the coloring style. ) and i had to keep osmt's colored lineart, i love it too much to get rid of it.

ghost x (lowkey unhinged) sunshine f!reader sequel idea...
so happy ppl enjoyed deranged sunshine reader w/ ghost !! and can't believe I have 83 followers, thanks so much y'all!!
currently thinking of a sequel following price. but where sunshine reader w/ ghost was more soft and sweet until she wasn't. Price's is definitely more perfectionist/people pleaser vibes.
and he adores how pliant and, yet, how strong and confident you can be in your abilities and strengths. but, he wants to become serious with you and that means breaking down your people pleasing/nonconfrontational persona so he can see a new, raw side to you and ensure you know that he will always be there for you even when you're not 'perfect'.
plus, he knew that communication was key to a long-lasting relationship; he couldn't let any issues you had bottle up and become resentment.
so, he decides to not give you any praise or affection and to act more distant, hoping that this will cause you to confront him and communicate your feelings.
it's an easy and effective plan, right?
so why was ghost staring at him like he had signed his own death?
and, sometime in the near future, price thinks he understands, and may have gone too far.

TO be honest. I don’t understand what it means when people say Merlin was Arthur’s bane. Mayhaps I misunderstand but. Arthur was a bit of an assassination magnet (not to mention all those magical creatures and bandits... so many bandits), and Merlin actively prevented Arthur's death for years, which would have occured without him anway in the very first episode. I can see why one might argue that Merlin was just delaying the inevitable, or that he didn't succeed in keeping Arthur safe until Arthur could enact the golden age, but certainly I don’t see how he could have been Arthur’s bane.
Also, it’s implied in the last episode that the golden age does occur, but under Guinevere. Which makes sense as she knew Merlin was the sorcerer and that she was pleased about it (and I recall it was confirmed in interviews), so I also don’t follow the twin train of thought that Merlin was his own bane or even Camelot’s. Camelot was already bane-d(?) under Uther. But partly because of Merlin's steady friendship, Arthur matured into a king who was kinder than his father. He also actively sought magic's aid on multiple occasions, so he knew magic had potential for good (like healing his queen) without Merlin needing to tell him about his magic.
I don't think it's fair to say Camelot's laws on magic remaining relatively static was because no one close to Arthur came out as having magic. There was still much risk in that, and for Merlin a lot at stake, not just his life. A law change was still possible (and almost seemed to be set up that way) without Arthur needing someone he was personally close to having to do the work to humanize it for him (in the sense that the episodes with the druids, the druid boy with Elyan, and the dolma seemed like they were pointing to a law change because Arthur sees the diversity of magic and those who have it).
At worst Merlin’s efforts didn’t change the status quo, but we do have things indicating that they did. And Merlin was not single-mindedly serving Arthur at the expense of everyone else. He saved Camelot as a whole multiple times. He was also very willing to stick out his neck for many others even during the height of his anxiety and agitation in season 5. (Also only being slightly silly when I say this, but he was also THE wingman for Arthur when he was getting with Gwen, so in a way Merlin’s help led to their courting being a success and thus contributed to her being in a great position to change the laws. so personally I give points to Merlin for that). Most of the decisions centering Arthur's safety seemed to stem from the fear that Albion would crumble before it began if Arthur were to die, so he tried his best to prevent that from happening in any way he knew. (Like, when Arthur is dying, Merlin asks "So I failed?" regarding the whole golden age thing, which I think is telling that the prophesy and his role in it was still VERY much at the forefront of Merlin's mind).
And this is a digression but I know people think Merlin should have done more for Camelot, or for folks with magic (like, as a revolutionary or something akin), which I understand but no one reached out to network with him really? It'd require resources, people (always confused why there weren't a whole bunch more folks offering Merlin material/intellectual/emotional support if they thought he should be the one to bring about the golden age. all he was told was that the forseen way it actually happens succesfully is through Arthur), time (I doubt it’d have been much of a ‘quicker’ way necessarily), and incredible planning + foresight if it's meant to be something that works out effectively + long-term. Okay I think I've digressed enough now. This is a whole seperate thought that I don't think I'm gonna do any justice here lol, and I'm already rambling, so I'll stop now :,)
But anyway, in terms of being his own or Arthur’s bane, we know Arthur will return, and we don’t know how Merlin spent his years. His magic can play with time and maybe he learns how to control that, or he could have entered a stasis like in various legends, etc etc etc. And I mean it is tragic on many levels, and it’s sad we didn’t see Arthur’s arc completed, and that Merlin sacrificed so much for a goal that didn't get much acknowledgment by the show at the end, but still. I don’t think Merlin was Arthur’s bane, or Camelot’s, or his own.

Hi all!! I've once again had a Mianite AU idea at like 2am and have decided to make that everyone's problem!! So welcome to my little thoughts on a mortality swap au (gods become mortals, mortals become gods)!
Here's a little rundown of my Season 1 thought (might do Season 2 layout later):
The three champions have directly swapped with their gods so
Tucker is the god of the overworld (with Mianite as his champion) Tom is the god of the nether (with Dianite as his champion) Jordan is the god of the end (with Ianite as his champion)
They also mostly find the alignments of the gods they've swapped with but they're also still Tucker, Tom, and Jordan so like Tom is more of a trickster than straight up evil and Tucker and Jordan can get into decade long grudges out of spite and misunderstandings.
Sonja is a self-made goddess in the way that the wizards are. Killed a god, absorbed their powers, became a goddess. You know typical stuff. I'm not sure if she has a champion, if she does, it's probably Wag. She's heavily associated with secrets (and maybe the deep dark...?)
Capsize and Redbeard are deities of fortune. Capsize controls good luck and Redbeard controls bad luck. Or rather they used to do that. They've been missing for as long as anyone can remember and everyone's fortunes have kinda got to shit. The two have mostly been forgotten by the time that the current champions discover the gods.
The plot gets kickstarted by the champions discovering the evidence of Capsize and Redbeard... then very quickly discover more evidence that points to Redbeard being dead and Capsize being imprisoned.
As far as they can all tell, someone plotted to and successfully abducted Capsize with the want to have complete control over good fortune (and likely keep it entirely for themselves). Redbeard caught wind of the plan but was killed before he could stop it, which is why bad luck has been out of control for generations.
Unfortunately when they bring this news to the gods at large, all of them immediately start blaming each other and very quickly end up on the verge of war. So the champions are left having to investigate their own gods to hopefully stop a war in the heavens and restore the balance of fortune.

If each of your OCs could plan the perfect vacation, where would they go and with whom? I was going to say just with their S/O and that's fine too but I want to know about Max too. Money no object - so I want to know what kind of place they'd stay at too. I KNOW Wendy is a five-star resort and please bring me cocktails by the pool kind of girl, but where?
Oh boy, okay I need to think. I'm gonna pair up the OCs for ease, since they are each other's favorite people anyway.
Jonah/Leo - this is actually you just asking me where they'll spend their honeymoon and I think it'll be in a mini tour through Europe. Jonah doesn't much care for it, but he likes the historical buildings and most importantly, he loves to show off and Leo doesn't know these places, so it's the perfect opportunity to be his tour guide. Add to that the mild temperatures and they'll have a blast. Yes, staying in fancy hotels, Leo doesn't get a say on it (not that he would genuinely care, travelling is the one thing he's okay with splurging).
Lucas/Bell - the BEACH! Bella loves loves the beach, she's a mermaid, and Luke loves his wife in a bikini. It does need to be somewhere with shade, because he turns into a lobster very easily. I think Luke would much prefer taking her in a boat trip, where she gets to swim in the ocean and he gets to chill in the boat, but Bella is scared of sharks lol. So beach it is. They learned their lesson with the maldives honeymoon and wouldn't pick a super far away place, since Bella gets airsick. If they're feeling bold they'd go to Hawaii and if not, Florida it is. Ideally they'd close to the beach, but with A/C because otherwise Luke WILL melt and be extremely bitchy. He can settle for a mid range hotel though!
Wendy/Vince - Hahaha you're spot on about Wendy, but I think that's more solo Wen! With Vince I think she'd love to exploring and to go dancing! I can see them going for salsa night, tango night, bolero... She'd demand they stay at a fancy hotel, Wendy is definitely the person who splurges in room service and goes to the hotel/resort's spa, but I think she'd also want to take Vin to all sort of romantic touristic places. Has she been to Paris before? Yes, but that won't stop her from dragging Vin there and to all the spots she wanted to kiss him at. They'd also absolutely go back to Sicily! Vince is not the ultra urban type, though, so I don't see him in NYC or Tokyo, he likes his touristic places a little dusty, a little ancient.
Max/Vince - Putting Vince there, since he's currently the only person in Max's life and I guess the only one Max can imagine himself travelling with. Despite his grouchy personality, Max is a sunny person. He'd love to go to the Amazon and get lost in the forest, see all sorts of animals up close. He gets sunburnt easily, but that will not stop this man. Little does he know that Vince is more of a gloomy weather person than sunny. I think Max would love to go camping and stay in all sorts of hostels and airbnbs and he's easily, out of all my OCs, the one who least cares about comfort. He'd sleep in the cold forest ground if that meant seeing a cheetah up close and maybe getting to pet it.

//Thinking about Lambda and how he presents himself and how he goes about with how he personally views masculinity. That being said, he is a guy but his gender is also very much monster. (In the sense that's gender neutral/not adhering to any binary at all. More of a concept than an actual thing if that makes sense.)

Can you give us tips for your drawings' shades ?
PS : What app do you use for your drawings ?
of course! by shades I'm assuming you mean the lighting/shadows in any drawing? (sorry if I'm misunderstanding your question though!) so in a general sense (and I'm not always the best at consciously following this idea/rule(?) myself, but sometimes I do depending on what I'm drawing), try to think about where you want the light source to be coming from, and then once you have that in your head, think about where on the form the light will hit and where the light won't hit. that's kind of a good starting point, I think. of course, I suppose there's a little more that goes into it, like for example thinking about the arms as a cylinder as its base form and how shadows will follow that curve. like i believe thinking of things in that sense helps a lot. or even from a more stylized perspective, for example having an entire side or part of something in complete shadow, in order to show more contrast in the overall image. (like what i did here for this sygna suit volo, how his entire left leg pretty much is in shadow):
Tumblr media
I think that along with looking at reference really helps! oh, and taking a step back from your drawing and looking at it as a whole to see how the shading versus the lighting looks. how the contrast looks, you know? how does it read from far away? (though in a digital drawing I guess I mean to say how does it read when you're zoomed way out? XD). that's what I did for the last Emmet drawing I did ^^
lastly, this is more of a personal touch, not necessarily always accurate in some cases, but I sometimes like to add what I guess is technically rim lighting to some areas? so basically adding a little bit of light around where the shadows are to create an outline. just something i like to do that helps a little with the contrast thing I talked about.
I hope that somewhat helps!
and for your other question, I use Clip Studio Paint :D

Okay but a kind of funny and interesting take on the loops is one where only one person remembers at a time - but it switches.
So like, yeah, maybe Siffrin remembers that first loop. But then suddenly it's another 4 loops before he remembers again - and he realizes in that time that each of his friends remembered at different points.
So it becomes this challenge of transferring information across loops, finding ways to get answers for each other, and working together even when they're not *together*.

imagine if itachi didn't die and he got a chance to live could he be redeemed for his actions? he'd helped them in the war, how do you think Konoha would react to him after knowing he undid edo tensei?
The unqualified truth is that Itachi's actions were irredeemable from the start. He could spend his entire lifetime taking care of Sasuke and helping him heal from the damage he'd caused him, but even then there was no redemption for the killings he'd done. As an Akatsuki too the list of his crimes would be too long. And he knew all of it.
The reason he inspires sympathy in readers' hearts is that he wasn't deluded about his actions and the gravity of their consequences. He never thought 'oh, i'm a victim. can i ever be happy?' He took full responsibility of his actions rather than victimizing himself and even went to extremes to ensure he was punished rightfully by the person he had wronged the most - Sasuke.
When he met Sasuke in the woods after his death his first instinct wasn't to chastise Sasuke for becoming a "criminal". He knew it was his own doing and Sasuke shouldn't be blamed for that. He didn't go 'I did it because I had no other options' etc.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, I have very mixed feelings about Itachi living or surviving his battle against Sasuke. For his own sake, I don't want him to live. The way he'd been damaged since his childhood and found peace only with his death, living would only mean extended sufferings and torment.
For Sasuke's sake, however, I want him to live. Sasuke loved many people - Naruto, his own parents, but he never loved anyone like he loved Itachi. Worse still - Itachi destroyed his life. Sasuke would only need Itachi to find some sort of comfort and closures, and if not he'd much rather die by his side.
Forgiveness, redemption etc., are shallow words in context of Itachi's life and his death. Not only there was none for what he'd done, it would never be enough for his own healing whether he lived or not. What could redemption or being forgiven really achieve after being pushed into hell by the grown ups around him?
He knew very well his actions were unforgivable and that's what he told Sasuke too. Sasuke forgiving him is a reflection of Sasuke's character rather than Itachi's.
Coming to the second part of the question -
Konoha didn't care about Itachi, or Sasuke for that matter. Once Edo Tensei was undone, war went onto becoming more and more grave until Kaguya was defeated. The prejudices against the clan would affect Itachi just as much as it did in the past, when the only one witness of the clan's tragedy would be him. Homura and Koharu might or might not open their mouths "for the sake of the village" that too after the war when keeping up their good image of Konoha was so important to all of them.
Itachi, along with Sasuke, would probably move into a little cabin where he wasn't disturbed by the responsibilities and burdens of being a Shinobi anymore. Team Taka might accompany them. Plus, whether his name is cleared or not would always be Itachi's call. And he wouldn't want his name to be cleared either since it might make the matters more complicated for the world on the whole.
And that would still be much better than Kakashi and Naruto deciding to follow Itachi's words verbatim of keeping the truth a secret, because it won't be affecting Sasuke all that much. Itachi's truth coming out, again, was more important for Sasuke than it was for him, in my opinion. But when Sasuke could be with Itachi, he would gradually come to understand his brother's pov on this matter, because for sasuke being with Itachi is always going to be more important than anything.

he's here.
she feels his presence before she sees him. she doesn't open her eyes yet, back pressed against the wall of the abandoned home she'd been chased into. had he watched? had he watched the undead, mutated and hungry, stare chiyo down? watched her flee with panicked feet, losing her bag somewhere in the process? watched as she was cornered within this house, and desperate to survive, gripped a forgotten hammer in her trembling hand? had he watched her descend upon the undead, something almost... unforgiving in the way she swung that hammer over and over and over.
her lips quiver. the rot took them long before chiyo silenced them, but it feels wrong. she feels herself changing in ways she never imagined. never wanted. this place doesn't care what she wants, though, does it? it needs her. it needs you.
softly daehwan scolds her for her dirtied appearance as he crouches in front of her -- she doesn't think it is necessarily consideration for her current state so much as her still thundering heartbeat drowning him out. her eyes flutter open, tears sticking to her lashes, to watch him wipe the blood from her face. she almost feels bad that he's staining his handkerchief just to clean her up, but chiyo reminds herself that he isn't someone to feel bad for.
his care is born of curiosity and intrigue. she mustn't confuse anything daehwan does for sincerity. maybe she should even be angry that he remained a spectator while she fought for her life, but that is in his nature, isn't it? to watch bad things happen? she doesn't have the energy to be angry.
Tumblr media
" thanks. " chiyo doesn't respond to his reprimand, but she still has her manners. she continues to watch him, a little thankful for the distraction from the tightness of her chest and the dead body lying not too far from them. " weirdly enough, it's sort of a comfort you're here. "

Presenting: The Great KinnPorsche Fashion Showdown (nobody asked for)
A few weeks ago, I made a poll about the best dressed KinnPorsche character. Tankhun won that one, followed by Vegas and Tay. Legitimate results - but the tags had some really interesting arguments for a bunch of different contenders. So why don't we take a closer look? Why don't we go through all the characters and their outfits one by one, choose the best one for each of them and repeat the initial poll at the end?
Sooo...that's exactly what we're doing right now.
*For the characters with more than 10 outfits - like Kim here - I'm going to make multiple polls and put the best voted ones into a final one
Tankhun - Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | FINAL CONTENDERS (CLOSED) - WINNER: THE CAPE 🎉🎉🎉
Vegas - Part 1 (CLOSED) | Part 2 (CLOSED) | Part 3 (CLOSED) | FINAL CONTENDERS (RED VELVET SHIRT*TM vs. THE WITCHY SHIRT*TM vs. GREEN SATIN SHIRT) - (closes March 28th!!!!!)
Kim - Part 1 (closes March 26th) | FINAL CONTENDERS coming March 30th
You can find the links to all the polls (as I gradually post them) HERE (pinned on my profile).
LET'S GET VOTING! 🎉

so like????? Jisung in the WR series lives alone???? Like I know being a nurse pays well but like mentally how does he deal with that? Do you plan on your version also being a social anxiety little jelly bean of a boy?
how often does Jisung have sleepovers with 1) just Minho when they both lived alone and 2)now that kitten has moved in? Did mitten upgrade their bed size to accommodate for the on and off Jisung? Once everyone had their own places, was clothing for each person kept at everyone apartment? What about favorite snacks? Does Sir Percival ever get upset if a different scent is on any of the trio (excluding pretty’s obvi)? Does Sir P join comfort nest? I have the cute mental image of him bringing his little blankie into the nest too
"Do you plan on your version also being a social anxiety little jelly bean of a boy?" short answer: yeah!
i feel like it's very important for his character🤌
as for how he deals with that... i think he also needs his space. like, he's clingy and loves being with his loved ones, but he probably also needs quiet time with himself when he's overwhelmed.
now, to answer the rest of the questions:
how often did he and Minho have sleepovers when they were both living alone... i'd say more often than people might've think. Jisung surely had a copy of Minho's keys and knew his door code so i imagine he'd sometimes sneak into Minho's flat and just... tuck himself into bed. Minho was more than used to it. after kitten moves in...... i'm sure it'll take a couple of Incidents for Jisung to learn to give at least a five minutes heads up before dropping by and also to be really loud when he opens the door LOL mind you, i think he does this with everyone in the pack tbh. there's always someone willing to let him in when he needs it because Affection is very important to him. with that being said, it isn't like he's sleeping with someone every night. like i explained earlier, he also needs his space, so i can totally see him going to someone's flat and later returning home after borrowing a t-shirt or two for his nest...
i think mitten's bed is big enough already. they'll just be a bit more crammed but they fit, all three of them + sir P.
yes. articles of clothing are exchanged often, especially for the omegas of the pack.
i honestly haven't thought of a favourite snack for anyone sdfjkskjfh (human or canine...) but i suppose at least pretty will try to keep something for everyone in her and chris' flat.
Sir Percival does get annoyed at scents that aren't jimitten's or pretty's, but he'll probably learn to live with it. that just means that whenever they're home he'll just try to scent everyone because, well... he's a cat.
yes. yes Sir P joins comfort nests. he likes to pretend he's all cranky and independent, but he loves his little family. Jisung and Minho included. after all, he's known them for most of his life and he's an old man...... so that's a long time. 100% agree on that blankie thing omg. how adorable
