I'm the kinda guy that doesn't shut up so I'm gonna answer as many of these as I can, I'll leave them under a read-more though haha
I don't think I can really answer how many fics I've done this year because I've lost track of both my WIPs and how much I've finished since there's still a lot I posted on my tumblr that hasn't been updated onto my AO3 (and especially with The Ramble Room)... I can at the very least guarantee that I'm still working on stuff so stay tuned for that hahahah
2. First-person perspective, proper. Was for a couple snippets earlier in the year but thought I'd give that a go at least. Also finally wrote SoMa lesbians (not the werewolf ones tho whoops)
3. I mean obviously Soul Eater is where a lot of my brain is because variants, but I get a lot of inspiration from a lot of different horror games. You can mainly see that in my art because I keep writing about insomnia instead
4. [dial-up noises as I try to remember how many AUs I did this year] I haven't actually written anything for my The Edge of Sleep AU, but it did happen to multiple drawings, so that probably counts for something
5. TBH some of you are probably already aware I really only care about ships that involve Soul just because of exploring character dynamics with him (and that's usually not really traditionally romantic), Maka just happens to have the most grabbable chemistry. Biggest reason why I haven't done more Crona x Soul haha I will say that I have ended up paying more attention to Spirit/Stein just because they come across my eyeballs a decent amount.
6. re: Spirit/Stein, Stein has a fun aesthetic. I think I've dipped into drawing characters that aren't Soul a little more this year haha (skater void really kicked off, wow)
7. Kinda reiterating above, but I did write CroMa and CroSo during the ship week event! I think there was also a Stein and Spirit snippet I wrote at some point, although that may not be inherently "shippy"...
8. Alright I'm gonna actually look through my ao3 list hahaha... wow okay, there's a lot from this year even without the scattered stuff on my tumblr haha Happiest to work on? Well I can say the 4/20 fic was definitely extremely funny to work on haha, so that has to count for something (especially with the silly tags and art haha)
9. Most satisfying to work on... Well the reverse vampire fic "And all that counts is here and now" took a lot of energy, it was a big fic! So I was very fulfilled when I finally finished it. I'd say it turned out pretty well, hm.
10. Oh oops, I've gone out of order haha (processing issues strike again). For question 8: What fic meant the most to write... hm. I really live for writing all of my fics, but I guess I can say "Today Is Special" was really stepping outside my norm (surrealism aside haha) by writing about characters I don't usually think about too much. This one also took a lot of work, but it is indeed rather special with the way it all strung together haha
11. Most difficult to write... Probably the previous one given it was with different characters haha, but so I don't repeat any answers... "One Shot" is relevant because I started it... two years ago? And finally came back and finished it. It's hard having so many WIPs because I want to eventually finish all of them, so it's a testament that this can be done, just at my own pace. The biggest struggle I'd say was my writing style changing but it was fun to adapt to that hah
12. Easiest to write? Probably all the snippets because they're so short lmao I guess for this answer I will say "how the Devil was made" was unique in that it spanned over several writing sprints even as I was sleep deprived, so it was something that was kind've done in a day. I suppose to that effect the Thanksgiving work also applies considering I wrote it in like a couple hours at most hahaha Did you know my record for fastest snippet is 15 minutes?
13. I'll just stick to what's on my AO3 because the tumblr stuff is a mess. Shortest: "My chest's a bird's nest and it's filled with feathers of you" (642 words) Longest: the fic under answer 9 (9,800 words), but for added trivia the one below that is "I'm falling down into my shadow" (7,986 words) look I'm having fun answering different fics for different questions
14. Oh I don't really listen to music when I write or draw, stuff just kinda plays through my head. Some fics have songs associated with them when I make them though, so spot them if you can haha
15. There's a lot of times the title ends up coming first or really close to the start of writing a fic. Sometimes, not so much. "Between Two Points" title was very much last second, and only because I was grasping at a song in my brain's playlist. I actually remember at one point not being able to think of a title/summary for a fic to the point I had it sitting completed in my drafts for over a day, but I can't recall if that was even this year hahah
16. Ooh, favourite title, that's a toughie... Not quite the same, but "Purgatory Maybe" has probably the funniest chapter titles to me. My series "The Wolf" has names and summaries that I really enjoyed as well, honestly.
17. Favourite opening line? Killing me with these hahaha Alright I don't think I've brought "What a beautiful wedding" in yet, so I'll say the opening to that is pretty fun:
His fingers brush lightly against his canvas, careful brush strokes painting a scene of darks to draw out that earthy shade of green, like a beacon shining brilliantly through the storm just waiting to begin as it rolls in over the sea to land. âŠOr something along those lines. He's doing his best to really bring out the colour of her eyes, is what he's saying.
18. And favourite ending? Dang hahaha Alright, wild card, if you get this you win I guess lmaoo
Some would even say Maka is so good at ordering him around that Soul was far too preoccupied with obliging to remember to flip the little demon off on its way out.
19. Man, if only I could share Resbang stuff haha What fics haven't I answered with yet... "Sorry for Party Rockin'" has some pretty fun interactions hah
"Sorry, lady," a dark voice growls from her throat, "need to borrow this for a minute. No time for answers." What are you- With a laugh that isn't hers and a few pops of her neck loosening up under what was her hands, Maka doesn't even get the chance to interrupt her interrupter as she feels her arms now moving around like a puppet show and turning off the bathroom light completely. Heyâ "At least I'm saving your power bill."
20. Funniest line, might as well two-for-one it haha
"I'm never asking you for directions again."
21. It's not really surprising if something surprises me or changes the entirety of a fic considering I don't write with outlines and will usually just write the first thing that comes to mind (which is how you get gems like Soul's Hornkler moment). It's also something I like about writing linearly (although I would like to try writing a story out of order someday, not to be confused with writing a non-linear story linearly haha), is that one small action can effect the rest of scenes. First one I can think of is fic from answer 15, where one interaction between Little Oni and Soul led to it being an ongoing thing, and ultimately added the whole scene at the end haha
22. While I have actually written traditionally before (wrote in a notebook and then typed it up on PC), it very much does not play well with my brain's difficulties with processing words, and the fics written during that phase are some of my least favourite. I've jumped from quite a few things though. Google Docs on both pc and mobile, libre office, notepad, Discord. I write pretty much only on Discord now hahaha Kind've a general answer and not just for this year, but technically I did have one fic where I wrote each part in a different text editor so hahaha
23. Most satisfying writing moment? How can you have me just pick one haha Well I've already said finishing up that big fic was really satisfying, so... hm. Here, I'll answer with the first fic I have listed for this year, "I am Maka's Monster". There's a lot I love on how this came together, so I can say I am very satisfied with the way this idea was brought to life. Also the last tag is still funny.
24. Oh huh, doing something special to celebrate finishing a fic... That's a real interesting one. I'm not sure I've ever thought about it before. Oh, actually, I don't really remember if it was this year or not but, I do recall there was one fic... or maybe event? That after I had finished working on something for it, I went and got pizza because I was happy with getting it done haha I don't think I could tell ya what it was in relation to though hahaha
25. Recharging between fics usually is just me drawing or writing something else (usually a snippet), since a lot of times fics vary in size. I'll also read other people's fics but uh... I shamefully haven't done that in a long while. Trying to reread the manga really jammed me up there haha (also guilty that the last fic I read I stopped reading because I didn't want it to end, and then happened to get sucked into a lot of things haha).
26. I think you might just be able to tell I draw outside writing fanfiction. Although I guess with the blurbs, sometimes I'm doing both at the same time haha In rare occasions, sometimes the blurbs are poetry/made-up song lyrics. I'm not much of a musician, surprisingly.
27. How many events did I take part in... shoot there were quite a few haha There was definitely the Valentine's Exchange, March of Madness, Reverb, Soultember, that Thanksgiving thing- oh the trick-or-treating too haha, Secret Santa (almost done making mine), and of course Resbang haha Oh yes, SoMa Day. Looking forward to next year's :^)
28. I would like to thank the entire Grigori Wings server, it's such a nice fandom home there haha. And as always, everyone who enjoys the Soul variant shenanigans! And of course people who comment on my fics haha I don't wanna give a certain someone anxiety if they happen to read this, but shout-out to you as well; you actually make me excited whenever you show up and I wanna dump 100 Soul bnnuys onto ye
29. What's left on my to-do list this... oh fuck I forgot I still need to finish that animation. At this point I have no idea how to approach it anymore, I'm in too deep, chat.
30. Last question! What would I like to do next year? Well, just wherever the wind takes me haha. Though specific things would be working on Resbang, doing my New Years raffle, and hopefully going through and doing one final edit of all my works so that I can update the formatting an' whatnot. I also need to update The Ramble Room as well, but one thing at a time haha I always have so many ideas for so many things, so I just enjoy doing what I can whenever it happens haha. I'd also like to actually not be anxious about going through the Soul Eater tag, and also maybe finish rereading the manga / bonk my brain into reading people's fics again, so we'll see what happens haha
Whew, that should be all the questions haha Of course I always am open to questions all the time (and for those still in my ask box, I didn't forget, I just have to ration out my ability to focus haha), but this was fun to just do for a bit :-)
I will probably not be proofreading this :cartwheel:
A slightly revised version of last year's questions! Two ways to play: Reblog and have your followers send you numbers, or answer the whole list!
How many fics have you worked on since January?
Whatâs something new that you tried in a fic this year?
What piece of media inspired you the most? (This can be the fandom you wrote the most for, the one that spawned the most ideas, the one you thought about the most, etc.)
How many fandoms did you write for this year?
What ships captured your heart?
What characters captured your heart?
Did you write for any new fandoms or ships this year?
What fic meant the most to you to write?
What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?
What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?
What fic was the most difficult to write?
What fic was the easiest to write?
What were your shortest and longest fics posted this year?
What were your go-to writing songs?
What was the hardest fic to title?
What's your favorite title of the year?
Share your favorite opening line
Share your favorite ending line
Share your favorite piece of dialogue
Share your funniest line
What's something that surprised you while you were working on a fic? Did it change the story?
What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?
If you had to choose one, what was THE most satisfying writing moment of your year?
Did you do anything special to celebrate finishing a fic?
How did you recharge between fics?
Did you create fanworks other than fic?
How many events did you take part in? (bangs, exchanges, ship weeks, zines, prompt memes, they all count!)
If this were an awards show, who would you thank?
What's left on your to-do list for 2024?
What would you like to write next year?
#rambles#long post#genuinely a real ramble because no proofreading we die like...#hope this is amusing insight at all haha

ž(âââĄââ)ïŸ!! saw that requests for writing is open, so I would like to politely and gladly request this đ€
mutual pining with optimus prime and human fem reader!! and if possible, the timeline in the bumblebee film (2018) please. optimus is confused about the blossoming feelings he has for reader and seeks help from bumblebee since he has been on earth longer and assumes he knows better haha!! bumblebee is like his wingman :3c
sorry for yapping, but this is my request please and thank you đ„čđ«¶đ» have a good one!!! <33
âïž RAINY DAYS âïž
-Reader: FEM reader  -TW: none -Character: Optimus Prime (Transformers 2018 movie) -Summary: Optimus develops a quiet, protective affection for a human companion, treasuring their moments together. -Word count : 1453 -A/N: Ahhh this was so cutee!! I've tried my best, anon! :) It took me a bit to polish this one just trying to catch Optimus character better :3, hope you like it! . . . I love big robots.
The Prime stood in quiet contemplation, his optics flickering with the weight of his thoughts. Today the "Autobots base" was noiseless, except for the only sound in the room that came from a small TV. Its screen casted a faint glow, as his loyal companion, Bumblebee, zapped through various channels, each displaying what he presumed was human entertainment. The great leader of the Autobots had faced countless battles and made decisions that shaped the fate of Earth itself. Yet, now, he was confronted with a challenge that left him uncertain⊠his growing affection for a human.
He turned his helm towards Bumblebee, who was still tinkering with a small rectangular device, undoubtedly another human invention. The scout's dexterous servos moved with precision, his curiosity for human culture evident in every motion. That curiosity he had for humans was something else, Bumblebee had always been adept at understanding humans, particularly one individual who had become dear to the scoutâs spark, a connection Optimus couldnât quite wrap his helm around.
"Bumblebee, my dear friend." Optimus's voice rumbled inside the shed, to which the scout beeped in acknowledgement, blue optics lifting from the small device he held. For all his wisdom and experience, Optimus found the nuances of such personal connections⊠elusive, particularly when it came to matters involving a certain earth native. "I find myself in need of your counselâŠâ his voice steady but laced with an uncharacteristic hesitance. ââŠmight I ask, how does one get acquainted with an earthling?â
Bumblebee's optics brightened with amusement. Lately, he had seen the Primeâs subtle shifts once he got closer to their human friend. To see the unshakeable pillar of their team, a leader who rarely wavered, seeking guidance on something as deeply personal as affection, from him! Knowing full well that too much teasing could get him grounded, once again, by the big boss, he suppressed a teasing comment. Â
Shifting between radio stations, Bumblebee spoke "âthatâs it!âmight as well spend quality time with herâboss!â
The idea of approaching a human affectionately weighed heavily on Optimus. Deep down he was lost in thought, the alliance between humans and Autobots came first. However, this particular human had earned his respect, and gradually, he found himself warming up to her presence.
It was unexpectedâŠ
Ever attuned to his leader's demeanour nuances, Bumblebee softened his  veiled teasing, followed by his next suggestion â---You all go for--- a Joy Ride!---â
Racing with a pick-up truck? That would be too risky, perhaps even impractical. His alt mode was functional, built for resilience and reliability, not for speed or flashiness, neither a sports car nor a sleek vehicle. Â It was a step he could take, though at his own pace.
"I thank you, dear friend" Optimus said, a note of gratitude in his voice. "Your insight is... most valuable."
.á.á
The sky had darkened, thick clouds gathering as a gentle rain began to fall. Subsequentially, the steady rhythm of the droplets intensified, each drop falling heavier than before. Amid the relentless rain, another sound broke through the downpour. It was the distinctive hum of an engine, accompanied by the sharp, glowing brilliance of the four headlights piercing through the rain. The pickup truck stood resolutely by the side of the road, its metallic frame shimmering as droplets clung to its surface.
The truck had been waiting patiently for an indeterminate time as then, through the haze of rain she appeared, huddled under a small red umbrella. Illuminated by the soft glow of a streetlamp, Optimus watched as she approached, her steps careful on the slick pavement. Once she reached his side, the door unlocked with a quiet click, inviting her inside. âFinallyââ trembling, she climbed into the passenger seat, the door closing firmly behind her.
Inside, she was enveloped by the warmth of the front seats, a stark contrast to the cool rain outside. She set her umbrella aside and leaned back in the seat, with a contented sigh. "Thanks a lot for picking me up, Optimus" her voice resonated in his spark âIâm terribly sorry, I hope I didnât make you wait too long under this damn rain! I swear, my weather said it was going to be cloudy...totally not this??â
"It is no trouble," Optimus replied, his voice a gentle rumble through the speakers. âI wouldn't want you walking in this kind of weather, you might get hurt. Never hesitate to give me a call, little one.â
Soon enough the engine started, and they drove in comfortable silence, the rain creating a soothing backdrop. Optimus found solace in these quiet moments, the presence of his human companion filling the space with an unspoken connection. He relished the opportunity to simply be near her, to share in the simplicity of the moment. This was his kind of âJoy rideâ, a serene, intimate experience far removed from the high-energy adventures Bumblebee often took part in.
As they neared her home, the glow of streetlights casting soft halos on the rain-slicked road, she turned slightly, her gaze thoughtful. "You know," she began "Iâve always appreciated how you make time for me. It means a lot."
Optimus's spark swelled with an emotion that, despite his longevity and vast experience since he first came online, he was still learning to fully understand. "Your companionship brings me a sense of peace," he admitted, the sincerity in his tone unmistakable. "It is a privilege to be a part of your world."
Her hand reached out, soft fingers brushing against the dashboard in a gesture of affection. âAnd it's a privilege to have you in mine, truly" Â she whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of the engine. She knew he could hear her, loud and clear, even if he didnât respond immediately. There was a quiet understanding between them, one that was broken by his warm voice, drawing her attention.
âWould you like to hear some stories, my little friend?â
.á.á
An hour had passed, her eyelids grew heavy and she found herself lulled by the light sway of the truck. It was a rare moment of peace in a world often filled with chaos. Here, cradled in the safety of Optimus Prime, she allowed herself to drift into a peaceful slumber, trusting completely in the steadfast guardian who was carrying her home.
â---This brings many memories in my circuitâ Optimus mused softly âThe first steps we Autobots took on your lively, vibrant planet. Itâs a bittersweet feeling, filled with nostalgiaâŠâ His words trailed off as he realized she had succumbed to sleep, her form gently resting against the cushion seat. âohâŠâ His words had continued longer than he intended. She had fallen asleep, her head resting against the cushioned seat.
His engine hummed quietly as he turned the corner by her house. With a slow, deliberate movement, the Prime transformed. His massive frame shifted awkwardly, yet he was careful enough to avoid any disruption.
With utmost care, his servos extended towards her, Â cradling her sleeping form. She stirred slightly but did not wake, her trust in him evident in her relaxed posture. As if in the hands of someone who would never harm her.
Attentive optics caught sight of the slightly open window. Soon, Optimus approached it, parting it with a click, careful not to make a sound. The rain had all but ceased, leaving the night air cool and fresh. With ultimate precision, he laid her down on her bed, tucking the blanket around her in a gesture that felt almost human. He lingered for a moment, his optics soft, his gaze filled with a tenderness that reflected his deep sense of protectiveness. She was safe here, in the comfort of her own room, sheltered from the outside world.
He stood there for a moment, his optics soft as he gazed at her peaceful expression. "Goodnight," he whispered, his voice a deep murmur. "May the stars always guide you."
.á.á
As he quietly stepped back from the window, miraculously avoiding breaking the glass, the Prime remained near her backyard, his massive form casting a shadow over the wall of her house. The soft hum of his systems settled into a quiet vigil, ensuring her safety throughout the night. There Optimus found solace in the knowledge that, for now, as long as he was with her, she would be safe and sound. With the Autobots' base under control, he decided to linger near her home, keeping a watchful optic on her, Â a silent but devoted promise of protection and care.
The faint light of the stars reflected in his optics as the night enveloped him while he transformed back into his vehicle mode.
Tomorrow would be another day.

Breaking Chains. Chapter 1 - The Beacon
So-o, I've been working on one thing lately . . . It was supposed to be a one-shot originally, but, as it usually happens when I lay my hands on something, it turned out to be another big story.
They say true growth only happens through struggle. But how much struggle is too much? When does it become the breaking point? Unfortunately for Stolas, he's finding out what it's like to lose everything. His status, his wealth, his magic . . . even his daughter.
He sits atop the water tower, thinking it's all over. If he's destined to fall, he might as well take down the one who caused all thisâdragging the culprit into the depths of the void with him. But, there's still one person left in this world willing to go to great lengths to pull him backâsomeone who believes tomorrow can still be better than today.
Expect kidnapping mystery, a lot of drama, or, as they say, angst and fluff (but as it usually happens with everything I touch, it's more of the former), politics, court intrigues, investigations, grand plans, and steep twists. This is going to be a fucking amusement park ride, I promise you. There is a reason for 'the drama queen' to be part of my nicknameâbecause drama is my second name.
I really do hope you'll find some time to give it a read and I hope you'll enjoy it. <3
And oh my fucking gods, I thank you @tealvenetianmask very much for editing this with me, providing with so much insight and advice, and making it so much fun. <3 This came out so much better with you navigating it. I love how we cooperate in this writing world haha.
Next chapter - Chapter 2 - New Dawn
Note: it is implied that the events of our previous story, Cage Games: Truth or Dare have happened before this one. It is not necessary to read it to understand what's going on, but some minor details will make more sense :)

a masterpost of some of my medic headcanons! just some of my personal thoughts on his character and things heâd like, dislike, hobbies, etc!
First and Foremost... medic is just Like That. zany and cunning and ditzy and sadistic and etc etc. heâs charming because nobody knows why the fuck heâs Like That but you canât help but be enamored by him because heâs very dashing⊠even when heâs being totally morbid!
was a total shithead growing up. absolute delinquent and hellion. only did things that interested him and thought it was funny when others tried to control him. he loved/s his family dearly but he just thought it was amusing that they thought they could ever hope to Contain him!
one of the things that Did/does interest him is baking. he loves to bake. cooking too, but not so much. His specialty is breads and pastries and he knows the recipes and motions by heart. baking is just as much of an art as it is a science.⊠you know⊠like⊠medicine..? sure!
values his friends and teammates. work is important, but you wont get far without willing test subjects! will always come back to and ultimately pull through for his teammates. it wouldn't be any fun if he was extremely loyal /all/ the time, right? he's got to keep them guessing!
he is an absolute chatterbox. it's part of what makes him such a ham. heâll discuss completely ghoulish things with you - with the most jovial tone of voice - and you canât help but find it endearing. is also nearly always Monologuing or talking to archimedes.. who can tell!
knows lots of things superficially, very few things in depth. doesnât often have the patience to learn about everything he wants to learn about; thereâs just not enough time!!
will often consult with demoman, sniper, and engineer and seek their expertise on chemistry, herbalism, and mechanics respectively. loves learning new things and hearing other people's insights!
absolutely adores the human body. expanding and contracting of the lungs, how pores work, cardiology in its entirety, why we have so many bones in our feet⊠he loves it all, no matter how its presented to him. cares little for the external appearances of others, too!
embraces all of his emotions and feelings and never seeks to censor them. doesnât feel like he should smother or dilute himself for absolutely any reason. if you donât like him, he doesnât care. one less dummkopf to worry about!
is quite social, but not âgreat with people"; heâs very loud, interrupts often and will absolutely Correct you if he feels like you say something wrong. itâs nothing personal, he just values accurate information! it's probably best to not debate him, just to be on the safe side.
loves puns and jokes, but the ones he laughs at might be a little.. off-kilter! youâll get bonus points if its a medical pun though! likes telling stories, but won't tell the same ones over and over again. the bone-stealing one is always a hit, but ask him about his other ones!
outside of doctoring, he enjoys baking, eating, botany and dove husbandry! he acquires dules of doves by stealing them, buying them, finding them, etc and treats them like family. they are very very spoiled!
is always excited about using his mediguns and furthering his research. itâs a nice bonus that he saves his teammatesâ lives on the daily, but heâs often not so concerned about that part! your legs are blown off? "well, just walk it off! HAHA! HOO!"
is extremely capable of holding his own in a fight. has powerful leg muscles and a vast amount of stamina. the bigger they are, the more fun it is to knock them down! he enjoys when people underestimate him; the fight will be more fun for him that way. he does not fight fair!
while he might appear playful and jovial, he can be surprisingly difficult to get close to. he can be argumentative and abrasive, but also gentle and patient. heâs polite to most folks, but typically wonât truly open up unless he has mutual interest in the person too!
If you give him grief, heâll remember that! Can hold a wicked grudge and enjoys when he can justify (in his own mind) holding one long-term. can be really petty, too. saw-ry!
thinks with his head: very analytical, objective. does not let his own emotions cloud his judgement when it comes to doing his job, no matter how Crazy the job might be. slip-ups are bound to happen though, heâs only⊠maybe.. human, after all!
doesnât like things that are uncategorizable, uncertain, etc. He loves things being âmessyâ and âimperfectâ but only in Very Specific ways that make sense to him! if you're "mucking about" by his standards, he's going to have very unsavory things to say to you!
does not live in his lab/infirmary. has a bedroom and utilizes it regularly, but sometimes inevitable workplace naps happen if heâs pulling an all-nighter! his quarters are simple and modest and its where he keeps his instruments and non-professional possessions.
plays the violin and accordion when he has time, and dabbles in piano! enjoys classical, jazz, swing, and klezmer music! if he doesnât like what you put on, he wonât be shy about letting you know!!
is a great dancer. it was one of the activities his parents begged him to take up in his youth (along with instrument playing), and while he resisted it Just For Fun, he does enjoy it! if music is playing, he will either dance, clap his hands along and sing/hum if he knows the tune!
heâs jewish and while he might not be as strictly practicing as he was in his youth, itâs still a very important part of himself that he cherishes, though prefers to do so privately. It's very personal to him!
If you can teach him something, heâs all ears! loves to learn and thinks our time is best spent applying all of the fun crazy shit we learn!! what fun is being alive if you aren't figuring out how to raise hell every day that you're here?!
loves getting his hands dirty! he likes to iron his clothes and shine his shoes, but there's nothing he enjoys more than plunging his hands into whatever he does. always cleans up his messes, but has little regard for neatness while he's running amok as a doctor!
i think he is closer to doctor frank n furter than he is to any other fictional doctor in terms of personality and zaniness. he definitely has it in him to be/can be/is a sadist, but i don't think that should cancel out his bubbly personality and charisma!
#dutchfoolery#dutchiehcs#tf2#tf2 medic#okay to rb! hehe#just yanking stuff from my threads on twt uwaa#medic#mercthreads

A letter
@sortumavaara I blame you...only you...for this one!!!
(I have been feeling terrible today and this has amused me, so I am thankful, but...hmmm, I am not a smut writer haha)
Either way, here goes my small ficlet for your amazing Glorfindel drawing. I admire you greatly; I hope you know that.
(@the-girl-with-the-algebra-book, e-husband, I wrote light Glorestor smut...)
Words: 1,1 k
Warnings: SMUT, NSFW, crack as well...I am terrible, I am sorry
Pairing: Glorestor
Glorfindel stormed through the library, only side-stepping once or twice to avoid announcing his arrival by banging his half-hard cock against the wooden bookshelves in a poor imitation of a primitive drum, in search of the devious creature that had reduced him to the deplorable state he presently found himself in.
To his dismay though, Erestor was nowhere to be found and so the much-suffering, golden-haired elf sat down at the desk of that despicable seductor and readied himself to pen a sharply worded missive instead.
Lord
Too formal, he decided.
Councillor Erestor,
He frowned and chewed on the elegant nib for a moment before his mouth started watering and his thoughts drifted back into the realm of unspeakable desire on account of having something hard and smooth wedged between his parched lips.Â
Figures that â even absent â Erestor would lead him astray, he thought, and crossed out his second attempt as well with a disgusted flourish.
My friend,
No, that was also wrong; he felt uncomfortable about starting a reprimanding letter by feigning friendship; they were notmere friends and that was the very core of the whole problem.
Erestor,
Less elegant than he would have liked, but functional.Â
With a sigh, Glorfindel accepted his defeat, heâd leave it thus, at least for the time being, and focused instead on putting his confused, aching longing into appropriate words that would make Erestor see the errors of his ways.
On this fine morning, we â along with several other respected and revered members of the Council â have attended a meeting during which you have I was aggrieved to notice that you saucy minx had neglected to don appropriate apparel as befits your function and station in these esteemed halls.
Glorfindel nodded to himself; this was going great so far.
Indeed, you wore an intricately embroidered overcoat â which was very beautiful if I may say so â but I could clearly see your clavicles I couldnât help but notice that your choice of tunic, despite the truly enchanting colour scheme you have created, was woefully unsuitable. As a matter of fact, it was so low-cut and transparent its material and design granted the innocent onlooker unexpected insights into your anatomy. Moreover, your leggings were wholly indecent for they let me see allowed any morally upstanding councillor more than just a cursory glimpse upon your shapely unclothed ankles. I am aghast that youâd display yourself so for all to lust fawn behold.
The uncomfortable tightness in Glorfindelâs own breeches reached the point of agony and â checking that the door was properly closed, it would not do to be caught in such an unfavourable situation â he listlessly pawed at his groin with a small, dissatisfied groan.
This was entirely Erestorâs fault; why had he thought it not only acceptable but even necessary to doll himself up in a way that could not go unnoticed?Â
He was blindingly handsome as it was, but it could hardly be expected of a living, breathing being with blood yet in their veins to gaze upon the glimpses of flesh and hints of sensuality so brazenly exhibited and not be driven to distraction.
Thus, one could not possibly fault honourable, dutiful Glorfindel for being diverted and distraught to the point where he found himself, his hand wedged shamefully between his own quivering thighs imagining they were someone elseâs, in a secluded office rather than at his own desk working through his own paperwork.
He really needed to get to the end of this letter before he completely lost his mind.
Moreover, you smiled at me it has been impossible to ignore the intimate smirk youâve produced at least thrice while you pretended to take notes. I am familiar with the extent and the excellence of your memory and thus, I nobody was fooled by your charade. Refrain forthwith, I beg prithee, from making such a spectacle of yourself. You are a dangerous distraction preventing other honest, hard-working, and entirely blameless members of the Council from performing their duties to the best of their abilities.
Yours faithfully,Â
GlorfâŠindel
Tossing the pen across the room, Glorfindel grunted under his breath as his neglected cock demanded relief quite insistently; thinking â at length â about the way Erestor had smiled at him coyly while crossing and uncrossing those sinful legs slowly did not help to keep his voracious cupidity for that soft, white skin in check. Quite the contrary.
The more he thought about it â the mischievous looks through dense lashes and the way Erestor had spoken his name as if it tasted heavenly on that nimble tongue â the tighter his leggings grew and after looking down on his butchered letter, Glorfindel finally gave in to his burning, agonising need.
Undoing his laces quickly, he took himself in hand and almost cried out in relief; suddenly, the thought of Erestorâs delicate ankles and filigree collarbones was a welcome image that made his fingers shiver and tighten around his weeping cock.
âOh, the things you do to me,â Glorfindel sighed, burying his face in the fabric of the chair he was curled up on and breathing in the remnants of that clean, sober smell he so loved.
His movements grew erratic, and his teeth dug into his lower lip as visions of Erestorâs smile, skin, and soft mouth flashed through his mind.
With a strangled cry, he came undone and â after having wiped every surface he might have soiled â Glorfindel made his hasty retreat, relieved now that he had not found his fellow councillor in the heat of his formerâŠdispleasure.Â
It was only when he had closed the doors of his own rooms behind him that he remembered that he had left his scratched-out, inarticulate draft of a letter on Erestorâs desk.
As he retraced his steps hastily, he prayed that he would be in time to destroy every testament to his temporary madness.
âLord, Councillor, or should I say friend? Either way, Glorfindel,â Erestor greeted him, grinning broadly at his colleagueas he slunk â shamefaced â through the half-closed door, âcome in and have a seat. I am delighted to learn that my attempts at catching your attention have not gone unnoticed.â
Glorfindel swallowed frantically; Erestor had the good grace to blush bashfully, belying his confident words but that didnât cancel the awful and wonderful truth in them.
Closing the door with a clangorous bang, Glorfindel was shocked and horrified to feel his treacherous cock stir once more at the sight of the soft, enticing smile beckoning him closer yet.
âI have taken the liberty to remove both offending garments,â Erestor whispered, crossing his outrageously naked legs very slowly. âAnything else I can do for you?â
So, that's it from me. If you want, you can link this to any kinktober prompt you want; it was therapy for me tonight.
Also, first epistolary fic (of a sort) for me.
Lots of love and my sincere apologies!

Prompt: hi hi hi I LOOOOOVE your Erik stuff and I hope u donât mind me requesting and requesting because I think youâre an amazing writer! I was hoping to see an Erik x female reader fluff:) Iâve always wanted to read a jealous Erik fic when he has a crush on the reader ya know! Iâve always pictured her to be a mutant professor at school and all:)
Warnings: Is jealousy really a warning? IDK but jealousy
Authorâs Note: I wonât mind you requesting lol, I love getting requests đ Thank you so much for enjoying my writing đ Again, I am so sorry for how long this took for me to write đŹÂ
Erik always prided himself on how well he was able to control his feelings. Sure, he used to let them control him; however, he always hid them well. One look at him, and no one could tell how he was truly feeling. The only people able to read his feelings were empaths, or Charles (but Charles used his telepathy, so that was cheating).Â
When Erik had met (Y/N), he wasnât sure what to expect. At first, he thought of her as any other person, irrelevant. He didnât know her, so why should he care for her? But then she was always there. He later found out that Charles had employed her at his school for the gifted. It was with a great obligation that made him get to know her. Charles liked to hold dinner parties for the staff and his friends to mingle outside of school hours. Erik would always try to get out of it, but, he always manages to get roped into those engagements no matter what he said or lied about. It was as though Charles would use his powers to get Erik to attend. It tempted him to use his helmet again to block him out, but maybe heâs just overthinking it.Â
It was at one of these events that Erik first spoke to (Y/N). She was standing near the refreshments, so really, it wasnât like it was completely out of his way to talk to her. She had smiled kindly at him, the first person to do so. It was no secret that he had a troubled past and many of the professors employed under Charles never seemed to let him forget. So it was refreshing to know that someone wasnât holding his faults over him. He was immediately enthralled by her. They spoke nearly the whole night. He found himself enjoying the sound of her laugh and the way her eyes lit up when she spoke about the things she was passionate about. Erik never believed in love at first sight, and really he didnât think this applied either, but he knew from that moment on, he would make it his duty to keep the smile in her eyes and that laugh in place.Â
From then on, Erik didnât argue with Charles over attending the dinner parties, and he didnât bother making excuses when (Y/N) needed his help with her class. Whatever she wanted, he made sure she would get without any troubles. They soon became best friends within no time. He was fine with that too because then he knew he would always be in her life. He was the one she went to when she had a problem, and the one she went to when she had good news. Life was suddenly going his way and he had no fucking clue what to do from there. He supposed he could continue like normal, talk to her, laugh with her, but there was a part of him that wanted more. She was an amazing girl. Who wouldnât want to be with her?
Which was the problem. He knew there were people interested in her, he wasnât completely oblivious. He would usually spot them from the distance whenever he wasnât with her. There would be another professor talking to her, trying to get her to laugh at some stupid joke he made. Erik would clench his jaw, and he swore one of the metal benches was crushed near him. He couldnât be too sure that was him though. He brushed it off at the time as a fluke. There was no way sheâd fall for that cheap trick. So the next day when it happened again, Erik couldnât help but insert himself between (Y/N) and the other guy.Â
(Y/N) instantly lit up in his presence. Erik was a great guy and anyone who didnât see that was an absolute idiot. Getting to know Erik was her favorite thing to do. Being a part of the school gave her insight into his past, sure, but that didnât mean she knew who Erik actually was. If growing up in a half mutant, half-human family taught her anything, it was that people can change. She found out that her mother was taught to hate mutants but then she met her father. So no, (Y/N) wasnât going to let Erikâs past block her judgment. Erik turned out to be the most genuine man she has had the pleasure to meet. Sometimes he would show off his powers to her, so she would talk him into demonstrating for her classes. She always looked forward to the days he would help her with the younger mutants.Â
Sometimes she could swear that Erik might like her back, but who was she kidding? She wasnât anything spectacular. Her powers werenât anything extraordinary compared to her co-workers, her powers were rather boring. (Y/N) used to enjoy the fact that her powers were quite mundane, she could easily manipulate a personâs choice, but it would only last a moment. Now she wished she had a power that was worthy of Erik. She knew he had a hatred towards humans at one point, so she was nervous that maybe he would be appalled about her half-human family.Â
(Y/N)âs thoughts were once again interrupted when she felt someone touching her arm. She looked up to see Professor Cassidy smiling at her. He had a boyish charm to him and she knew that he liked her, but she didnât feel the same way. She was finding it harder to let him down gently.Â
âSo? What do you say?â He asked nervously.
âUh, about?â (Y/N) furrowed her brows.Â
âA date? With me?â Sean ran his hand through his hair nervously. This was not turning out how he imagined. For one, Erik wasnât there glaring at him when he imagined asking (Y/N) on a date.Â
âIâŠâ (Y/N) glanced from Erikâs stone expression and back to Seanâs nervous smile, âI uh, I have plans, Iâm sorry Sean.â (Y/N) lied, âErik promised to help me with uh, a thing,â She winced internally at her crappy excuse.
Erik smirked, happy to hear her turn Sean down. Sure, Sean wasnât a bad guy, but heâd be damned if he started dating (Y/N). She was too good for him, She was too good for anyone.
âOh, uh, okay, no worries,â Sean looked back at Erik one last time before leaving the two mutants alone.
âSo Iâm helping you with a thing?â Erik asked smugly.
âOh shut up, I panicked, okay?â (Y/N) bumped her shoulder against his side, âHeâs a nice guy, but I only think of him as a friend.â
âOuch, even that hurts me,â he laughed despite his words.
âHmm, so what brings you by?â (Y/N) wondered.
âWhat do you mean?â Erik avoided her gaze.Â
âI think you know,â She raised her brow, she was tempted to âpersuadeâ him to tell her the truth, but Charles made a rule not to use their powers against anyoneâs will unless absolutely necessary.Â
âNothing, I just saw you over here and thought Iâd say hello,â He shrugged.Â
âOkay⊠now that youâve said hello, what now?â (Y/N) leaned against the wall beside her.
âMaybe we could do a thing?â Erik smiled.
âHaha, very funny,â (Y/N) rolled her eyes. She may have liked Erik but she didnât appreciate being teased.
âIâm serious,â Erik lifted her chin so their eyes could meet, âLetâs do something together.â
(Y/N) stared into his eyes, looking for any hints of insincerity, âLike what?â
Erik shrugged, âanything youâd like.â
âAs friends?âÂ
âWell I- I was hoping maybe as more than friends?â Erik cleared his throat. He hasnât felt this nervous in⊠ever. He has never felt nervous like this before.
âOkay,â (Y/N) grinned, âBut donât tell Sean just yet.â
Erikâs eyes narrowed, âWhy not?â
âI just turned him down, I donât think heâd be too pleased to hear that Iâve agreed to go out with you,â (Y/N) tucked a strand of her (H/C) behind her ear.
âSo?â Erik couldnât help but scoff.
(Y/N) tilted her head, looking at him quizically. âYou were jealous,â She laughed.
âWhat? No, I wasnât! I was the opposite of jealous. Why would I be-â Erik looked at the amusement clearly written in her eyes, âDonât tell anyone.â He begged.
âOnly if you donât say anything to Sean, at least not yet.â (Y/N) bribed.
Erik sighed heavily, âFine.â
âAwe, such a romantic,â (Y/N) laughed. She kissed Erikâs cheek softly, âNow about that thing weâll be doing?âÂ
Erikâs heart fluttered in his chest. This was all new to him, but as long as (Y/N) was by his side, he would do whatever he could to keep her happy. It was also nice knowing no other guy would be able to take her out on a date now that she agreed to be with him.

Hello, can I ask for some headcanons of Atobe, Sanada and Tezuka giving their first kiss to their crush? Have a nice day!
Thank you for dropping by and I hope you have a nice day too! âĄÂ
I'll be writing this under the assumption that they're already officially going out, because I can't see these 3 people just kissing anyone willy-nilly haha
Atobe
Honestly I can see him already giving you hand kisses whenever he meets you the first time that day or right when you meet him on your dates (because he's just extra like that), plus forehead kisses whenever you had to part for the day (it's a charm, he says). So it's just a matter of time before he kisses you on the lips!
He's trying to teach you waltz when it happens. I said 'trying' because in the end you're just enjoying twirling around and it's not exactly waltz. Not that Atobe minds. He just wants to spend time with you, and as long as you're laughing, he's fine with it. When the next music comes on and it's a slow, romantic one, you two somehow end up just slow dancing while staring into each other's eyes. And if you tiptoe for a bit to initiate the kiss, who was he to refuse?
When you both pull away, even without using his Insight he can see that you're happy about it, so he wouldn't hold back from going for more. It'll probably turn into a make-out session if you don't stop him lol
You wonât even realize itâs his first kiss, due to how smooth and confident he was.
Starting then, he wouldnât really care if youâre outside or not. If he wants a kiss, he will get a kiss. If you want a kiss, you will get a kiss. And if someone has a problem with it, heâll gladly confront them face-to-face if he needs to, even if that someone is his teammates.
â... No consideration at all for the single ones, huh?â
âAhn~? Itâs not ore-samaâs fault that you canât get a significant other, Oshitari. Iâll have you run more laps if you keep complaining.â
Sanada
This awkward boy will only do it when you ask him to or tell him that you're ready!
It's not like he doesn't want it or anything! In fact, he has been wanting to do kiss you for a while, but weâre talking about Sanada here. He has mastered self-control and therefore he will wait for you for as long as it takes.
His first kiss is short, simple, and sweet. Just a peck on the lips, and he retreats immediately to ask whether that was ok or whether he accidentally did something you didn't like. And he's so relieved inwardly when you give him that beautiful smile before asking for more, which of course he complies because he just can't say no when you look so happy.
Itâs so blatantly clear itâs his first kiss, and you should feel honored, really. Sanada doesnât take the meaning of a kiss lightly.
He doesn't kiss that often, but he when he does you can feel his sincere affection in the way he tries to be extremely gentle while he's holding you close.
As you can guess, heâs not fond of kissing you in public, but if you insist, he has somehow developed this habit of shielding your faces from one side with his hat as you kiss, and he will never ever for his life turn the simple peck into a deeper kiss in public.
âI still canât get used to this... Itâs so weird to see fukubuchou being all sweet and affectionate....,â though soft, you can hear Kiriharaâs voice in the distance, and you smile in amusement into the kiss.
Next you hear Yanagiâs gentle chuckle, followed by Yukimuraâs laugh, and you know heâs smiling by the tone of his voice, âHaha, really? I think itâs cute.â
Tezuka
Tezuka isn't that big on skinships, and at most he holds your hand when you're out on dates, but he doesn't really kiss. He hadn't really thought about it until Kikumaru nonchalantly asks whether you two have kissed yet. Then he starts to become more aware of how inviting your lips look, and he realizes that huh, he actually wants to kiss you.
It's all so smooth when it happens! You're just enjoying each other's company when your eyes meet, and you two just stare each other in silence for some time before he closes the distance and gives you a kiss. He lingers for a while and when he's pulling away there's the rarely-seen minuscule smile on his lips.
Even after that he still doesn't kiss you on the lips that much, but he'll kiss the top of your head or your cheek when it's just the two of you! He will almost always agree to give you a kiss whenever you ask him though.
You only ever found out it was his first kiss when you were dragged into participating in the Kingâs game by the whole tennis club members and Fuji gets picked as the King, and he picks both your numbers before telling you to kiss (you swear heâs secretly a psychic because it feels like he knows those numbers belongs to you and Tezuka).
âNyahaha~ What a treat~ I get to see Tezukaâs first kiss!â
â....? Iâve already had my first kiss with [First_Name].â
âW H A T ? ! ! ! ? !â

Blocked but not bothered
This is a funny site! So I got blocked a long time ago, during the Fassbender craze. I think it was because I posted with different screen names from the same IP address. Haha! I discovered Iâm not very savvy with that kind of stuff.
But what happened was, all the ladies were gaga over âFassyâ but then he was seen out with a lady they didnât care for and Kaiser (I think?) wrote this super bitchy post where she essentially said that all you had to do was have dark skin and Fassbender would sleep with you. Yikes!!
It was my second comment ever, and I posted that I wasnât sure what âthis personâ was trying to say, but it came off sounding really bad at best and racist at worst.
My comment was deleted, I was blocked, and she added an âUpdateâ line to her post pointing out how she was of Indian heritage with dark skin herself and she was just trying to sayâŠblah blah blah. Lol! I think myself and some other commenters got right under her thin skin!! đ
I still visit CB everyday and enjoy a lot of the posts and a good deal of what the commenters say, although it can get a bit ridiculous fairly frequently. Iâm glad I canât post comments anymore actually, keeps me from engaging fully in the OTT ridiculousness of the soccer mom blog. But there is a lot of insightful stuff woven in there too.
Hope this story amuses you all as much as it still amuses me!
------------------------------------------------------
Oh , those were good old days of innocence -Â Fassy, Bendy, Tommy. I think it was with Bendy and the conspiracy theories about his wife when CB took on a darker tone and really went downhill.

Higurashi When They Cry Part 8 - Ch 8 Matsuribayashi-hen
So, the reason Takano is obsessed with the Hinamizawa disease is because she wants to prove her grandpa's theory that there are parasites in our brains affecting our emotions and thoughts, and the different parasites in different areas etc are what causes cultural differences and clashes in thoughts across the world? And it's these parasites that "control" humans. It's saddening to think about the idea of orphanages that operated as a way to claim money "for the children" rather than actually taking care of the children. Like, I can understand being overworked and unappreciated considering the amount of war orphans and others like that, but the thought that people could take advantage of these children to get money and just treat them like prisoners to be beaten or punished when they don't act the way they want them to is just terrible... I guess the fact that the Takano back then who ran away from the orphanage and even bit off the finger of her pursuer to escape shows how bad the place was and how desperate she was to leave. It probably was literally a do or die situation to her.
It's kinda interesting to think that the reason why Takano's grandfather's research was ignored wasn't because it was useless, but because it might have actually been credible in a sense. Due to a war that had erupted because of the mystery behind whether a soldier from Hinamizawa shot the other side or not, this caused a neutral pact to fall through and make the two parties go to war. In the end, since Japan insisted that they weren't at fault and China insisted the same, if Takano's grandfather's research were to come to light, then the fault could be insinuated to be from the Hinamizawa soldier and therefore Japan's fault, and that's why the research was unsupported. I guess it's nice for Takano that her research is getting sponsored properly, by the SDF even since they would probably want to use it as a weapon if the research comes to fruition properly. On the other hand, child Takano got caught huh? Even though Dr Takano saved her later, I'm sure her trauma is something difficult to come to terms with. Personal note, I have to admit, I don't really care for Takano though haha, but I understand why her story is necessary to unfold now. It's saddening to watch how excited Dr Takano was over presenting his research to potential sponsors and then having it all shattered with their cruel allegations that it's all his own delusion and that he was so consumed with the research that he's just making it seem as if it's credible because he wants it to be and not because there's enough evidence or whatever. It's terrible to hear people say something like that for something you sacrificed your whole life to research..and imagine taking those doubts to the grave, like maybe he was delusional blah blah, that's crappy... Psychosurgery is something I never really thought about though! The idea of severing certain connections between the frontal lobe and the rest of the brain sounds really interesting yet dangerous, I can see why it was ethically challenged later on and even caused Dr Irie to kinda be cast aside from the industry considering his persistence on it when they're trying to swerve away from it. At least he sticks to his beliefs I guess haha.
The connecting fragments thing is rather interesting, I like getting more information on what exactly happened behind the scenes with all the discussions they had and everything. It's quite sad and sweet to see how Rika's conviction towards saving Satoko allowed her to accept the idea of people researching her brain or whatever since she's the "parasite leader". It's also saddening to see Hanyuu heartbroken over everyone fighting because of the dam project. Seeing Tomitake smitten with Takano is rather saddening too. Anyway, for context, connecting the fragments is to make way to the ultimate "ending" where they can win against Takano (since Takano has accumulated a lot of support from organisations such as the SDF and has "won" in every world before this because of it + her indomitable will to spread her grandfather's research making way for it to be "fate" I guess). Although it should have been expected that Ooishi has a particular reason to be so adamant about finding out the mystery and murders in Hinamizawa, I don't know why but I actually found his reason to be rather contrived when it was revealed that the dismembered dam construction head guy was someone he sort of respected as a second father after he lost his real one. I guess it's kinda because at this point, I've forgotten how I felt about Ooishi haha, and also because it's just a short segment I guess so it's hard to feel much for it.Â
As someone whose not a big fan of Satoko (blasphemy, I know right haha), I definitely relate to Satoshi's situation much more and I always wanted more insight into his feelings. It's actually really sad to think about his situation. He loves Satoko, but he's also super tired, he'll always try to protect her whether it be from his stepfathers or his aunt and uncle, but regardless of whose fault it is, anyone will get tired of having to do this all the time. It was heartbreaking to hear that he hated himself for wanting Satoko to stay at the clinic longer just so he could have some peace away from his aunt and Satoko arguing all the time. As someone who also hates the sounds of arguing, I can understand a little bit of that and just how stressful it can be. I...wonder how Satoshi would react if he knew Satoko pushed her parents off the cliff on that trip. Like yeah, she was affected by the Hinamizawa Syndrome and that caused her to kinda go crazy from paranoia, but Satoshi was sane, he knew his parents really wanted to make amends, even the stepfather took courses to try and fix their relationship and Satoshi saw that, so I feel like if Satoshi found that out, he would break. Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel like the story is painting the Hinamizawa Syndrome. On one hand, I understand that yes, if it's caused by a medical condition exacerbating emotions that they can't control, it can't be helped that so many worlds turned out the way it did, but at the same time, it feels like a lot of it tries to apportion all the blame to the Hinamizawa Syndrome as if it never existed, then everything would be fine? Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, but it makes me feel like that which I don't agree with, since I feel that even if things wouldn't have turned out so drastic with the clawing of the necks etc, I still think that with the way a lot of characters were treated and how they felt, things were inevitable whether the syndrome was there or not.
It's sweet to know that Tomitake was sincere with Takano and really tried his best to be her ally, it's just that even though he knew her, he couldn't really help her, and I guess that's something a lot of us struggle with. No matter how well we can know the people close to us, it's not necessarily true that we can "heal" them. Of course we still try, but as it was with Satoko, if they don't help themselves, then outside help can never truly help them. On the other hand, it's interesting that Keiichi's father was able to see Hanyuu and Rika play together when he first visited Hinamizawa hoping to change his life and environment for Keiichi. He's right though, as we grow older, I feel like we do slowly lose our "innocence" as we know more things and "sin", so when we look at children, we always think back and look fondly to that and to them as representative of what we lost and what we hope we still had. I guess it's kinda amusing to say that Takano had a strong will when she nearly gave up and drank her sorrows away after Koizumi (main backer who was friends with her grandpa) died and she couldn't convince the new people to believe in her research until some people under Koizumi's faction came along to "help" her. In a sense, Takano is just trying her best to make sure to tell everyone and her grandfather that he didn't waste away his whole life on useless research, but at the same time it's unsettling to watch her be so consumed by it. Anyway, as I said, it's amusing that Takano is considered to have a strong will, when in a sense I feel like Rika being able to live through all those worlds again and again should be "stronger" but at the same time more weary I assume haha. Regardless, I guess what Rika lacked was concrete support, since even if Takano is being used, she still has support, whereas Rika was always by herself with Hanyuu who doesn't really encourage her since she doesn't believe that fate will change and I guess that didn't help Rika haha.
Akasaka becoming super capable after his wife's death is interesting, like will he be able to reach the same heights in martial prowess if his wife doesn't end up dying? On the other hand, Hanyuu can transfer in as a normal kid?! Cuteee. It was so cute how Hanyuu tried so hard to tell them that she wanted to join their club, and I loved how Rika refused to say it for her, and told Hanyuu that if she wanted it, she had to say it herself. Believing in something is like a gamble huh? When you think about it like that, I guess in a sense, it is. Our beliefs are beliefs because it's not a fact or the "truth" after all, it's basically what we have chosen to think "exists" after we thought about it. The sad thing though is that what we believe in isn't always the "right" thing, but I guess that's fine since we chose to believe in it? Not gonna lie, when they were talking about how they "sacrificed" Hanyuu and her mother(?) back in the day to like cleanse their sins, all I could think about was Jesus, so now I'm just thinking about Rika's ancestor being Jesus and now she's met her in the flesh lol.
Anyway, I love how Hanyuu and Rika pitched their whole situation to Keiichi and them like it's a manga. I think it was really cool to see the whole group bounce ideas off each other with Rika piping in trying to get them to figure out what she couldn't about the whole situation. I really liked it since I feel like the biggest reason Rika is unable to find a way out of this a lot of the time is because she's the one experiencing it, and she's experienced it many times, so it's difficult for her to think outside the box when she feels like she's done that. So I think it's great to see her give the group details to try and see from their perspective what the reason could be for Takano to destroy Hinamizawa, and well as expected, she's most likely being used by the higher ups as she gets revenge by killing Rika and the village. It also feels so great to see Ooishi, Akasaka, Tomitake and Irie get to talk everything out and try to solve things, everything just feels like dang, we've really come such a long way for the final world! Btw lmao at Hanyuu teasing Rika about not trusting her friends enough, it's time for Hanyuu's revenge on Rika!! Or not, lmao at Rika making spicy food (Hanyuu hates it lol) and dumping the cream puffs lolll. On the other hand, omg I love the group's strategic meeting, Hanyuu fits in so well hahaha. I love the 48 hour strategy though, I didn't get it (just like Rena and Rika) initially, but once they explained it, I was like whoa, that is actually a great idea to blow away the presumption that everyone in the village goes crazy in 48 hours! If Rika's corpse appears and is proven that she had been dead for more than 48 hours and yet no one had gone crazy in that time, then their hypothesis about the queen carrier causing them to go crazy would be wrong and everything could sail much smoother, it's nice!
I guess it's really interesting how in the end, many people in Hinamizawa actually do understand and think that the dam construction war is over now and that things should start facing forward and moving properly again; whether this be Oryou or Mion and Shion's mother Akane, they're all tired of being stuck in the past and want to move beyond that, so it's nice to see that Akane and Shion actually visited the dam construction leader guy's grave every year (just like Ooishi) as a way to remind themselves but also tell him that the past is the past and they hope he rests in peace. I quite like Akane and Ooishi, I found it hilarious when Ohtaka was trying to get info about whether Rika was really dead and pretended he knew Sonozaki Saburou (higher up representative) right when he and Akane came in to the police station lol. On the other hand, I want to feel sorry for Takano, but whenever I think about how she was willing to sacrifice Tomitake in every world for her revenge, I don't really pity her lol. Honestly, it was only a matter of time until Tomitake would get captured since everyone knows how important he is, but I was so worried for Irie. No one needs to worry about Akasaka because he's obviously too strong haha. I didn't expect Shion to pick Irie up when he was injured, I was so relieved! But I will be so sad if she and Kasai die. It's nice to know Shion's true feelings and that even though Mion feels bad that she took Shion's place as the older sister, Shion also felt bad for taking Mion's place as the younger sister. Despite everything, they both know how hard it is to be in either place because of the burdens they have. Honestly, I nearly cried when Akasaka came to save the day, he really is Rika's hero, the one who will finally save her after regretting leaving her to die in so many worlds, it was so heartwarming to see. He's ridiculously OP but I guess that's what happens when you train for so long haha.
Satoshi being alive and in the basement if the clinic undergoing treatment is nice for Irie, Satoko and Shion. I personally think it fits the story better if he's dead, but if we want a true happy ending, then he needs to be there so that Satoko can truly apologise to him, Shion can properly tell him how much she cares and Irie can feel less guilt over having to kill or use terminal patients. The mountain fight between the kids club and the Mountain Dogs was pretty fun but expected, I still think in terms of excitement it pales in comparison to their usual games haha, but Mion as commander is always such a highlight, I love seeing how confident she is. It was nice to have the group pitted against Takano as a last battle kinda thing, but I do admit that when Takano was the "main loser" out of all this, I was like, can this really be a happy ending if they characterised her so much but gave only her a bad ending? So yeah even though Tomitake is too good for her, I was happy that he came back to save her, since he's just that kind of person. Honestly, whether Takano has the Hinamizawa Syndrome is something to think about since scratching herself could be stress too imo, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Anyway, I honestly wanted Takano to be a much more formidable opponent for them, but I guess not lol. What I really enjoyed though was Rika calling Akasaka "papa" at the festival and his wife was about to kill him over itđ€Ł and I'm glad that Hanyuu got to stay and play with them since she's part of the group after all. The possibilities of forever where Ryukishi07 talks about how we as readers could create our own abundance of fragments and stories etc was interesting I guess haha, I do wonder though, how would Takano's life have been if she went with her parents to the mall and they didn't end up dying? Wouldn't that be nice? But I wonder what would have happened with the Hinamizawa Syndrome like that.
Overall, the last chapter was as I expected? Honestly, I took a long time to read it because I knew it wouldnât be my favourite or as enjoyable as the others so it was difficult to âendâ my journey with Higurashi but yeah I still liked it regardless I guess haha. Anyway, yeah, I knew it wouldn't be as fun and interesting to me as the other chapters, especially since Keiichi and the others aren't as prominent here due to the adults helping out to obtaining the good ending with all of them. But I did enjoy Akasaka and everyone working their hardest in their own way to save the people important to them. I kinda thought Ooishi would have a better role but I guess it's okay that he and Akane are pretty funny together lol. However, I do think that Okonogi of the Mountain Dogs was more lacklustre(?) than I thought? I think he could have been pretty cool, but I guess they spent more time humanising Takano haha. The battles weren't as exciting as Keiichi's club battles but I guess that's because Keiichi is a funny and cool guy haha. And I think I just didn't care for all the god stuff with Hanyuu and everything, so I think it would have been better for me if everything was solved by everyone uniting together without the need of supernatural stuff but that's just me. I'm just glad that we got to see the fruits of all their efforts and see everyone believe in the miracle that they could win. It was really satisfying to see everything come into place.
Overall review
Higurashi is a solid VN. Honestly, when I first read Onikakushi, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not even though I was intrigued, but it was crazy how much I loved Watanagashi and the others. The way they set out the mystery, how they had the staff room talks to discuss with you the possibilities and everything, it was just so much fun. I loved the endless possibilities of each different world and how it showed really well how living in your own bubble, not trusting your friends and not communicating with others could make things go so wrong. Of course a lot of it was attributed to the Hinamizawa Syndrome, but at the same time there were a lot of real problems that each character had to go through in order to grow, and I think I personally loved Rena's arc the most. I think her emotions were portrayed so well, and I loved how everyone in the group united with her in Meakashi. I loved how the theme of friendship felt so real, and I think going through the various chapters really helped to build that. Honestly, the slice of life parts used to be so long and annoying for me in the first two chapters, but it eventually became the highlight for me, and it was better than the mystery itself haha. Overall, I think I would give the whole story (all the chapters) an 8.5/10 and would definitely recommend it over the anime (the new one at least haha, I havenât watched the old one), I think what makes Higurashi so good is how detailed it goes into a lot of the feelings and actions of our main characters and I feel like a lot of that is lost in the anime. Anyway people say the PS3 sprites and voice patches are needed to enjoy this, but I played it like the original sound novel it was and I still loved it. I think it's actually kinda crazy how music and character sprites can enhance the experience of reading a novel so much haha. So yeah, I don't doubt that maybe the patch could make it even better (I guess I can try it in the future haha, since I do think I would like to read it again) but I think it's fine either way. I also bought it in Japanese for the switch so maybe I'll read it in Japanese one day!đ

Dear readers,
You must be wondering why my previous blog was so terribly short, so please let me indulge you. A chocolate cake appeared on my door step and he has left me so very satisfied indeed. Mind you, it was a chocolate cake I knew well, so please keep your quiet gasps and judging glares to a bare minimum as we all wait out and see if there is more cake to be baked or not.
And now.. enough with the cake references! My mini-me happened to be a most successful sheep herder and we had a most delightful day with our wooly friends. I even received some balls of wool, so who knows, maybe I will teach myself how to knit. You know, just in case I do really become an old spinster. And IF that will be the case Iâm sure I will be the coolest home-knit wool stocking wearing auntie any kid could wish for.
Then in other herding news; today I will be divesting my time in herding a flock of pots and pans in my parents kitchen, because I have agreed to cooking them and our neighbours a dinner. So once more; please keep your horns and fingers crossed and letâs pray  to Bacchus that the rich flowing wine will hide any cooking imperfections.
Your gracious cook for tonight,
Ali
âMOMMYYYYYY!!â Alice quickly spurted off to the front door as she heard the door unlock, leaving me alone on the carpet with a set of building blocks - we were just about to build a fairy hotel for her dolls. I slowly pushed myself up to a standing position, waiting for the squealing to subside before making my appearance in the hallway.
âOh Ali! I heard what a wonderful time you had.â Maddie smiled from ear to ear, her jacket still on as she kept Alice close in her arms, the toddler fiercely grabbing onto her momâs neck.
âHi Mads..â I looked behind Maddie, seeing an exhausted Frank as he shoved the suitcases back inside. â..hi Frank.â He half-smiled, nodding at me. âSo howâd it go?â Maddie asked, brushing a hand over Aliceâs back.
âAs good as any other time. Truly Mads. We had a great time. Didnât we, mini-me?â I ruffled a bit through Aliceâs blond curls, making her chuckle sweetly. âMhm.â She nodded quietly, her face still hiding in her momâs neck. âAnd of course she missed you TERRIBLY!â I winked at Maddie, seeing her face gleam with happiness to be back with her baby pea.
I felt a pang of jealousy crush through my warm heart, like a tiny needle pin, burrowing itself deep in my flesh, every breath causing a strong sharp pain to run through my chest. I chewed on the inside of my lip and willed myself to stop those silly thoughts. I was not a mom. Perhaps would never be a mom. I had to just..
Smile.
Smiling kindly I drank some tea with Maddie and Frank, before leaving their house and returning to my parents to start cooking that dinner and write a bit for my newspaper articles. The twinge of jealous pain however, didnât leave until well after the pots were bubbling and boiling.
Ugh, I wanted to be a mom so bad.
â
âHenry! What a pleasure to see you!â My momâs voice sounded from the hallway after the doorbell rang, my hands quickly reaching for a wiping cloth to clean up my hands.
âHello Lorrie.â His warm voice spoke, âIs Alice in?â
âYes, yes. Sheâs in ..eh..hahaâŠthe kitchen.â I could just hear the shyness drip through my momâs voice. Sure, Henry was a very handsome man, but my mom really couldnât cope with being around him. Sheâd become this blushing school girl whenever he got anywhere near her, and it made for truly entertaining scenes - and yes, I hadnât mentioned to her just yet that I had invited Henry for dinner.
It sure would be a blast.
âHey you.â Henry stepped into the kitchen, the fumes of boiling legumes and roasting herbs and meats permeating the air. âHi.â I smiled, slightly surprised when I felt him brush his lips over my cheek.
So very..domestic.
I felt a blush creep up my hot cheeks as I turned down the stove knobs, my eyes not daring to look at him as he roved over my handiwork. âHow are you?â He asked, leaning into the kitchen counter as he watched me work. âAh..you know..â I shrugged, turning to move some fresh cut onions into a frying pan.
â..I donât know Ali. Tell me.â Â His voice was sweet and gentle, so very unlike Chris my ex, who always just shrugged and walked out. He never truly bothered to dig a little deeper, but Henry did, apparently. I felt that terribly stupid pang in my heart again and before I knew it a tear escaped my eyes, the salt rolling fat and shiny over the creases of my terse face.
âHey hey..â Henry stepped in, one hand turning down the stove of the frying onions, the other cupping my cheek. And then there were these knowing blue eyes looking straight into my soul.
âI just got a little stressed is all.â I lied, shrugging. Henry sighed. âThen let me help you. Itâs not like I have anything else to do today.â
I frowned, blurry eyes looking back at him. âNow weâre both lying.â I muttered.
âWhat?â He asked, frowning.
âHow does a busy man like yourself first have to rush from one event to the other, and then all of a sudden he is here for at least another week, without any obligations or engagements.â I wiped my tears and looked at him, fearing my words had been to harsh or reproachful, but not willing to take them back either as I saw him bite his lip. He was thinking of an answer, his eyes first looking at the food in the pans next to us, then finally at me.
âI eh..called in a time-out.â
âA time..out?â
âYea. Like. I worked a certain arrangement into my contract, so I can take a time-out when it just really gets too much. When I feel I need some time for myself. Before I get sick or anything.â
âDo you feel..sick?â I asked, my terse face melting into gentle worry, my tears drying quickly on my large brown eyes.
âHehe. No, donât worry dear. Iâm not sick. Not yet, though the fact that I didnât even recognise some people dear to me anymore, and didnât know what day it was or where I was exactly..are tell-tales that I need to slow it down. And so I did.â
My brows furrowed at his words, realising how stressful his life probably was. âOh Iâm so sorry Hen.â I pulled him in for a big momma bear hug, his chest rumbling with mirth as he gratefully leaned into me, nose dipping into the crook of my neck. He hummed in quiet delight.
âSo what were you lying about?â He asked after a few more moments, his face still buried in my hair.
âOh eh..gosh..I donât even know if I want to tell you.â I gulped.
âTell me.â He said, leaning back slightly so he could look me in the eye, his hands still wrapped around me. I sighed quietly, hearing the slow bubbles of the pots besides us, my momâs feet shuffling in the hallway. Â
âMom! Donât eavesdrop! I know youâre there!â I admonished, hearing her feet quickly shuffle away. Henry chuckled. âThatâs what moms do.â He shrugged, amused. âWell, they should mind their own business. And..so should I. I mean. I got a little jealous is all. Maddie and Frank got back today and seeing them and little Alice being such a sweet happy family, it kind of ..hurts.â I frowned, trying to turn away from our hug but finding Henryâs arms holding me down even tighter.
Our eyes met again.
âIâm sure there will be plenty of chocolate cake.â He smiled, making me blush furiously.
âOH MY..â
âYea..I might have found yourâŠblog.â
âOh myâŠâ I felt my cheeks burst with a redness that fiercely matched the tomato sauce in one of the pans, my eyes widening in pure horror.
âHaha. Thatâs quite alright. I found it very amusing..and..insightful too. Your nan must have been a truly wise woman.â
âOh this is so embarrassing.â
âNo more embarrassing then your mom during tonightâs dinner party, Iâm sure.â
I snorted and we both burst out giggling.
âOh gods Hen.â I poked his shoulder. âYou are the..-â
âSexiest?â He grinned.
âIncorrigible Cavill. In-corrigible.â
We laughed aloud, the kitchen echoing with shared joy as we rolled up our sleeves and cooked the most wonderful family dinner we could possibly produce.

What Muse(s) have you not seen the movie/show for?
We all know my obsession with Onward...sooo. But admittedly I have not seen most of Enchanted, sorry Edward. I watched parts of it years ago and never saw most of this movie. So, yeah, I should probably watch that at some point.
What type of Magick do you like the most? Do you have one?
I have to be biased and say sorcerers, of course. Do elves count too? Just so I can cover all my bases here.
Whatâs your proudest moment/accomplishment in BDRP?
Honestly, I think just coming back? I left due to some big medical issues and considered for a long time returning but kept talking myself out of it because I left. I didn't think it would be overly welcoming if I returned and I was hesitant. I'm glad I finally just decided to chance it because I was very wrong; I've made some incredible friendships here and I wouldn't have had any of that if I hadn't just pushed myself to return. I still consider it an accomplishment getting over my uncertainties.
Write some love for three Muns of your choice!
...oops. 4 instead of 3 but whatever.
Sammy! I guess that's probably the obvious but Sammy is one of my very best friends. Absolutely I am a huge fan of their intense devotion to researching, plotting and just overall strength in characterization that makes for some seriously interesting characters because it's amazing. But even more than that they're an outstanding person who makes me laugh, cry, rp-rage and brightens my days at their worst and makes me smile when I need to. I am constantly impressed by their perseverance in the rough spots in life, and honestly I feel like they constantly teach me something new in the way they tackle life. I can't imagine not having the support, rambling calls, movie nights, and just overall wonderful part of my life that is Sammy.
Jean! I've said before and still firmly stand by the fact that Jean is one of the most grounding people I've ever met. Funny, infinitely kind and just overall the type of person I know I can go to for insight when I'm faltering. You are a point of calm in the storm and encouragement I'm so grateful for. Thank you so much for just being there and being you; I admire so much about you as a person and am so intensely glad to have you as a friend.
Lauren! Solidarity in similar crazy lives! But of course more than that you're just outstanding. There's a kindness to Lauren that I always gravitate to, and a no-nonsense sort of strength I'm in awe of; I know I can always count on her in my corner. She's just flat out a great friend and constantly catches me off guard with witty humor at the best moments. And comparing crazy country kid problem stories really are some of the funniest times; at this point I'm entirely certain we have to be like long-lost cousins or something. Haha.
Lins! If anyone is a real life Wonder Woman I am certain it's Lins. She just flat out enchants me with her creativity and drive, her energy and just so much about her. I know whenever I'm down and just need to step back Lins will be there with kind words and eagerly distracting me with stories, ideas and all the good things. Thank you for taking the moment to reach out that became a friendship I hope lasts forever; you're amazing! But please no stealing armor from museums. Please. Lins.
Write some love for three Muses of your choice!
Pip! Charming drama child, oh how I adore Pip. If Ian had been in school with this boy he would have been a very different person; they're honestly so alike in some ways and Pip's boldness is something Ian admires so much. Sweet, brilliant Pip who knows far too much of life and cares so much more than people realize because of his wisdom. His stories are always so outstanding and stir so much emotion, every time, every word. Ian has already decided, Pip, you can't avoid it; he's just decided to big brother you.
Phineas! You outstanding wreck of a person. I love how dynamic Phineas is; he's so real and with that comes real flaws, real shortcomings and real reactions. I sometimes feel like he's the villain of his own story just by his own ambitions and I think that is outstanding; he's the best version of how messy life is when you're a teen. Ian may dislike you, for so many reasons, but I'm a big fan. And honestly the fact Ian can dislike someone with the bristled level he does Phineas still just endlessly amuses me.
Eric! Do you even know where you are? Thank you for being Ian's first experience with how horrifically frustrating feelings can be! Too sweet for his own good -except when he's out trying to murder mermaids evidently?- and too confusing for Ian to decide if he's fascinated or exhausted. Eric is so consistently hilariously in his own world and I love it, so much; I worry he's going to get distracted and wander into traffic one day. This unintentionally blunt, soft boy is just great, so great. Plus Sid's writing style with Eric is so pretty, so good, I always feel like I'm reading a Victorian novel.

moments growing up in the life of tommy merlyn, part-time wayne foster child. (four)
âââââ
Bruce was at a loss.
For reasons beyond comprehension, it hadnât been nearly this difficult to bring Dick into his home; maybe they had just grieved too much the same, raged too much the same. Bruce had understood Dick all too well. Not that that had made things easy at the very beginning, but it meant Bruce had something to start with.
Tommy was nothing like that.
He was certainly angry, and undoubtedly grieving. But everything he did was an attempt to hide or subvert those things. He was either bright and animated like a boy who didnât know a fraction of his loss and hurt, or he was shut down and silent.
âHeâll open up,â Alfred had assured him after the boys had gone upstairs. âYou were rather a closed fist yourself in his position.â
âThat was different,â Bruce replied, lips pressed in thought. âAnd I was never in his position.â
âNo?â Alfred questioned, that one challenging eyebrow arched. âAlone in all the world, too full of things too large for that age?â
Bruce shook his head, the tilt of his smile wry. âI wasnât truly alone. I had you.â
Alfred only hummed at that. Nevertheless, his point was made.
Huffing a laugh, Bruce nodded. âAlright. Fine. Iâm going.â
Up the stairs and down the hall, past Dickâs room, down two doors and across the hall. The door was open, the boysâ voices spilling into the hall all chatter and laughter. It made Bruce breathe a little sigh of relief; he hadnât known for sure if they would get along. He had of course thought it likely, the factors enough in favor of that outcome it had helped make the decision for him. But they were five years apart in age, and Bruce knew so little about Tommy and how he was likely to react that he was pretty much a wildcard.
He paused just outside the door, eavesdropping shamelessly.
âOh cool, Iâve seen this movie. How come this oneâs in your suitcase and not with the rest of your stuff?â Dick was asking.
âItâs my favorite,â Tommy answered, more solemnly than the context seemed to justify.
Dickâs cheer took on a valiant, striving edge. âYeah? I get that. Robin Williams is hilarious. And man, Rufio, so cool right?â
âYeah, Rufioâs awesome.â
There was a pause, then Dick asked, carefully lightly. âI guess thatâs not why itâs your favorite though?â
A rustle of cloth, maybe a shrug. âMy Mom got it for me. It was the last thing she gave me, before sheâŠâ
âOh. Yeah. Well, if you ever wanna watch it, Iâm in. Or not, if thatâs better?â
âNo,â Tommy hurried to reply. âNo, thatâd be cool.â
âCool,â Dick echoed. âWaitâll you see the entertainment room, itâs almost like being at the theater. Bruce almost never uses it, but I guess he figured if youâve got a bazillion dollars and youâre gonna take in feral acrobats as a new and eccentric hobby, you gotta trick out one room with stuff kids like.â He paused, his voice dropping to a teasing stage whisper that might as well have been an elbow in Bruceâs ribs; his presence had been noted. âHonestly, it was probably Alfred, Iâd bet.â
âYeah? I mean, home wasâŠâ Tommyâs pause was less a hesitation than a sinkhole in the middle of his sentence. âI mean, weâre rich. Were rich. But this place is bigger. We didnât have like a movie theater in the house or anything. Dad wouldâveââ
Bruce held his breath, but Dick didnât break into the sudden anger of that bitten-off phrase.
Anger banked to bitter, and Tommy forged through the end of the sentence. âDad wouldâve said something like that was a waste for just me.â
There was another pause, but it seemed like Dick was just letting that moment breathe for a second, letting the hurt bleed a little, bleed off a little. When he spoke again, his voice was quiet and so sincere Bruce was struck with gratitude that his protege was not merely clever and insightful, but so genuinely kind.
âWell, thereâs two of us here. Weâll do movie nights, make sure we make good use of it.â
Tommyâs answer was quiet, shyly pleased. âOkay. That sounds good.â
Bruce figured heâd better make this his opportunity, otherwise the eavesdropping would stretch to a point that was just awkward. He stepped into the doorway, leaning against the jamb as he rapped his knuckles gently against the polished mahogany. âHowâs it going in here?â
Dick turned to him with an amused raise of his brows, seated on Tommyâs bed with a plastic VHS case next to him. Tommy was standing next to him, his suitcase open on the foot of the bed, contents in the process of untidily transferring to the chest of drawers against the wall. It hit Bruce like a punch to the chestâand heâd knowâthe way Tommy visibly closed up at the sight of him.
Heâd need to address that, and soon. At least try.
In factâŠ
Bruce cleared his throat and canted his head towards the hall. âDick, can you give me a minute with Tommy? Iâm sure Alfred could use some help with dinner.â
Dick launched gracefully to his feet with a melodramatic sigh and accompanying eyeroll. âFine. I mean, itâs not like we can let you do it. I want dinner to be edible, and Alfred doesnât deserve that kind of stress.â
Bruce just rolled his eyes towards the ceiling as if his patience were perhaps hidden in the attic. Dick snickered. He passed Bruce and out the door, squawking indignantly as Bruce took mild revenge by ruffling his hair. Dick bobbed away and stampeded down the hall.
Bruce smiled fondly after him a moment before turning to Tommy.
The younger boy wasnât looking at him, head bent as he sloppily folded a pair of jeans that had been more neatly folded before he began. His movements were slow and clumsy, and Bruce knew he was paying less attention to his task than he was to appearing to not pay attention to Bruce.
Inhaling deeply, Bruce reached for somewhere to begin. âMind if I come in?â
Tommy looked up at him, first with surprise, then muted skepticism. âItâs your house.â
âAnd your room,â Bruce pointed out mildly, inclining his head. Tommy blinked at him and he let his smile show just a little more. âHopefully youâll think of this as your house, too, someday.â
That statement struck.
Bruceâs chest clenched in surprise and a tinge of regret at the way Tommyâs face flickeredâfirst with shock, then a longing so piercing it howled, then a cynical misery he wasnât nearly old enough forâbefore blanking entirely.
Tommyâs only answer, in the end, was a shrug.
Wincing, Bruce scratched idly at the back of his neck. âYou donât have to, of course. I donât want to pressure you, Tommy. I know this is all sudden, and very far from home, and you donât know me well.â
Tommy stared at him, jeans forgotten in his hands and brows pulling together with each word in a dubious frown. âWell. Yeah.â
Bruce chuckled a little awkwardly, at himself. He wasnât exactly sticking this landing. âIâm just trying to say that I hope you can feel comfortable here. I want you to feel like this is home. Like you have a place here.â
Tommy worried his upper lip with his teeth, brows still knotted over that steady gaze. For a moment, he looked like he might actually show Bruce how he was really feeling, like they might actually, really connect.
His thin chest expanded on a deep breath, and Bruce waited, hopeful.
But then Tommyâs face twisted in a duh expression Dick would have been proud to pull off. He smirked in that ridiculing way only children manage, but his tone wasnât mean so much as teasing when he said, âThatâs what you were trying to say?â
Bruce wished he could take back the laugh that startled out of him. He genuinely did. It only encouraged Tommy to push that fake humor further.
Tommyâs smirk bloomed into a grin that would have been brilliant if it hadnât been paper thin. âYouâre not very good with words, are you.â
Bruce arched his brows at the sling of that sass. God, if he and Dick ever ganged up on him, he was in deep shit.
Worse, he was about to have to squash it.
He couldnât just let this go on. Let Tommy keep tumbling into whatever role he thought would play best to his new audience whenever he didnât want to feel what he was feeling, or was afraid how it would be used against him.
(It made the fist in his pocket clench, to think of who must have taught him that survival mechanism. He was a little boy. No nine-year-old should be this attuned to the moods of the adults around them. Too many, too many of those adults had shaped Tommy this way when he was too young and too malleable, and if the first to do it werenât already dead, Bruce would be hunting down Malcolm Merlyn under cape and cowl for a reckoning.)
âYou donât have to do that, Tommy.â
He said it softly, but Tommy still flinched. Barely visible, too consciously suppressed for Bruceâs comfort.
His chin briefly wobbling, Tommy widened his eyes and stiffened his upper lip, looking down at his half empty suitcase and deflecting, âIt seems rude to make that Alfred guy do it. Theyâre my underwear.â
Bruce sighed. âYou know Iâm not talking about your clothes.â Finally, he moved into the room, stopping a couple feet on the opposite side of the bed, both hands in his pockets, shoulders in a posture intended not to intimidate. Tommy hunched anyways. âYou donât have to make me laugh to stay here. You donât have to be anything to stay here. Just you. I know youâve been shuffled around and left waiting to know where you were allowed to be. So Iâll just say it. Youâre allowed to be here.â
Tommyâs head jerked up and he stared, eyes round and tense, that betraying wobble back in his chin. His breath hissed too rapidly from his nose, knuckles going white on the edge of his open suitcase. Quiet but heated, he whispered, âFor now.â
Bruce felt his own face betray him, saw Tommyâs sharp eyes clock the devastated twitch of his brows, the parting of his lips.
Immediately, reflexively, Tommyâs mouth split in another grin bright and false as tinted foil. âI mean. You said Iâm going back to Starling for school, right? So. Forâfor now. Then, Iâm back at school. Iâve never been in the dorms. Itâll probably be⊠cool.â
Bruce firmed his jaw and tucked his chin, meeting Tommyâs fevered eyes seriously. He ignored the entire tumble of words, cutting through the panic, through the act. Direct, Bruce Wayne could do. âYou belong here. Not just now. Yes, youâll go back to school. And when school is out, youâll be back. Because youâll still belong here.â
Tommyâs defensesâtoo well built, too resilientâfinally cracked. His grin faltered, slipped. And when it dropped entirely, tears spilled sudden as a faucet over Tommyâs cheeks. He jerked, wiped frantically at his face, and when the tears kept coming and his breath hitched in a sob, he turned sharply away, putting his back to Bruce.
âI-Iâm fine,â he stammered damply. âIâm fine. Sorry. Iâm fine.â
Bruceâs heart clenched so tightly he thought it might implode from the pain of seeing how disposable this child had been made to feel. âNo. Youâre not. And thatâs okay. Even if youâre not fine, you still belong here.â He paused as Tommy glanced at him over his shoulder, face red, tears still coming, shoulders shaking. âI probably should have said that in the first place.â
Maybe it was time to stop waiting on Tommy. Maybe it was time to reach towards him first for once. Bruce moved around the foot of the bed, stopping and sitting gingerly beside the suitcase when Tommy whirled towards him, tripping back a step over his own feet.
Bruce tried a smile for him as Tommy just stared at him and cried. He still hadnât responded to being told he belonged. Bruce suspected he was afraid to.
Sighing, he nodded, smile rueful. âYou were right, Iâm not very good with words.â
This surprised a wet laugh out of Tommy, a muffled giggle that made him sound more his actual age. âTold you.â
Bruceâs eyes crinkled back at Tommy, and Tommy tried to fist the wet tracks off his red cheeks.
Lifting his head higher, Bruce pushed the suitcase towards the pillows and patted the comforter beside him. âWell. I may not be the best with words, but Iâm told Iâm great with a hug.â He held an arm out to the side, an offer. âIf thatâs alright?â
Tommy hesitated, biting his lip so hard Bruce worried it would bleed. Finally, haltingly, Tommy closed the steps to the bed and sat next to Bruce. Meeting him halfway. Bruceâs heart soared in triumph and relief and he wrapped his arm around Tommyâs shouldersâtoo thin, small for his ageâand squeezed him gently against his side.
Letting his head fall against his shoulder, Tommy tsked. âGreat with a hug, huh?â Bruce looked down at him with a raised eyebrow and caught the edge of Tommyâs smirk, the boyâs head angled down. This smile, at least, looked real. âSomebody lied to you.â
Bruce didnât try not to laugh this time, and Tommyâs joined his, filling the room.
He hoped it was a sound theyâd all get used to.

A Letter From a (very enthusiastic) Fan.
Itâs me again! Haha
First of all Iâd like to apologize for possible typos since English isnât my first language but I hope you can understand the general ideia.
When I found your fic, I was a little hesitant to start reading it because usually time travelling stories to the middle ages never seem to completely portray the danger and violence it was known for. I cannot tell you how many stories I read in which the female lead spends all her time at the alehouse spending the money that we have no idea where it came from, being completely accepted for society even though sheâs not like them, magically learning how to use a sword the first time she holds it and being her sassy arrogant herself with no punishment whatsoever for her disrespectful behavior. Oh yeah and everybody seems to love and admire her even though sheâs just a pain in the ass.
Now that I got that out of my system, I just wanted to say what a pleasant and beautiful surprise it was to run into AGFTF. Girl, thatâs MASTER WRITING! I fell for the story instantly because itâs so incredibly realistic (given the circumstances)! Adeline was held captive for months before she was rescued, she was mistreated and suffered for her loose tongue, she realized through the most despicable way that womanâs rights back then were none at all, she even got her period at the worst possible time ever for fuckâs sake! Adeline had to work to pay for her ale she didnât create gold out of straw like some Rumpelstilkin lead, she faced the prejudice for being a woman and she took a normal amount of time to learn how to use weapons. You absolutely nailed all the descriptions and realism, thank you so much for that.
About Adeline. So hard for me too love a lead usually I just like them but I didnât stand a chance against Adeline. SHEâS SO FUCKING FUNNY! Every time she has an inappropriate thought or just a sassy one I shit myself so hard Iâm laughing. Sheâs so relatable and yet so unique. Her clumsiness is not Bella Swan/Anastasia Steel kind of thing, itâs something ridiculously funny and more important: the characters think that too. Theyâre not charmed by the way she fell of a hill and lost her unicorn panties, theyâre amused by it as any real person would be. Every time I feel somethingâs about to go wrong for her or Adeline just makes a dumbass decision I cover my eyes like âoh, no, Adeline, not againâ, but I do it laughing and with lots of loves for her. Taking a darker turn, the way she faces what happened at Dunholm is a shitty unhealthy way but itâs how most of us deal with a trauma and I can only hope sheâll learn how to deal with it in time. I love how sheâs not obviously a brave warrior but totally determined to prove herself to everyone including herself and this will prove to be a hard journey mainly when she lives by the Murphyâs Law. Although itâs already very clear to me how much sheâs matured and developed in that three years passage of time. Iâd like to give you my top five moments of Adeline:
Adeline almost flashing Alfred, the Great. (WHAT WAS THAT HAHAHAHA I LAUGHED MY GUTS OUT);
Adeline having her hair braided by Sihtric at the alehouse (I loved this part so much it was like receiving a warm hug during the hardest winter and their friendship is EVERYTHING);
Adeline and Finan talking by the fire at the camp back from Balbury (theyâll have a topic specially for their relationship just you wait);
Adeline learning how to use a bow;
Adeline braiding Doritoâs mane alongside Finan.
Shall we talk about the marvelous job you did with the characters? We shall. Itâs like Iâm watching a spin-off from TLK because their personalities are FLAWLESS. I can see them talking to me. Hild being that perfect herself, too good a woman for God alone; Sihtric always so silent but also friendly and compassionate; and Finan. Oh dear God, Finan. Thereâs no other way to describe him other than quoting Adeline:
âI liked the duality of his nature: he laughed so easily but he wasnât a man to be messed with â heâd fight his corner, and fight twice as hard for his friendsâ. Girl, you made me cry. In a good way. That is everything I love about Finan and thatâs why I was so happy to see that itâs also what Adeline likes about him.
Now last but definitely NOT least.
Finan and Adeline. Sweet Lord that lies in heaven what a perfect ship. Slow-Burn? Itâs more like Slow-Motion-Burn, girl. Iâm a person with zero patience and you made me CRAVE for a little romance between these two from the beginning. I just kept praying and hoping theyâd have some involvement soon but you made me wait and boy was it worth it. You know, it wasnât tiresome to wait for those too to start flirting because I just adored Adelineâs relationship with everybody else (Sihtric, Hild, Clapa⊠even Uhtred and Gisela).
I started to feel the reciprocity when Finan chased her outside the hall and Adeline challenged him for a fight. I actually giggled in every scene they had together after the small ruse for the loaf of bread because thatâs what took me to sail my shipp. The small bickering, the smirks and smiles they exchanged, flirty Finan implying âhe didnât know heâd have to EAT anythingâ (I had mad goosebumps I had). You built their relationship with patience and through crumbs I happily fed on only to realize that they were satisfying me and making me beg for more. It was so beautiful to see their friendship turning into something else and now all I want to see is their wedding. Just kidding but not so much.
I get a little excited when a story has everything I was looking for so Iâm sorry I actually wrote you a letter hahaha if you managed to read it all, I just wanted to thank you one more time for taking the time and talent to telling us Adelineâs story. Iâll probably write another letter when Iâm finished with the 25 chapters and then Iâll just leave a comment on the chapters like a normal person hahaha
Thank you again and congratulations!
XOXO
A response from a very grateful author who cried at least three times reading your letter
Saying a simple thank you feels a little redundant considering the magnitude of emotion your letter brought me, but thatâs where Iâll start. THANK YOU! đ„°đ„° Youâve filled my heart with such happiness itâs difficult to put into words. So, again, thank you! đ
My goal from the beginning with this story was to try and tell a realistic (or at least, as realistic as time travel can be) story, with a character who struggled, and learnt the hard way that this experience wouldnât be all sunshine and rainbows. I didnât want to write a âmain characterâ in the way that she is automatically liked and respected and admired, just because sheâs The Main Character. I wanted to write about a real person, with flaws, who handles things poorly, and who some people dislike. Because real life is messy like that. Â
So to have you tell me not only did you find the story realistic as I dearly wished, but it exceeded your expectations? Iâm delighted, and blow away a little to be honest. Youâve broken down the story and how you felt about it in such detail, really taking your time, and I feel totally and utterly honoured.Â
I canât tell you how happy I am that you like Adeline so much! âoh, no, Adeline, not againâ truly is her catchphrase, because while she tries, she is nothing short of a disaster at times. Iâm so, so happy you feel you can relate to her and enjoy her journey. I agree with you - I think most of us arenât good with serious trauma. We get there, but it takes time, and a fair few mistakes first. Again, Iâm pleased as punch that you like that she handled things badly, that sheâs scared but determined, and trying to grow. Youâve picked up on every single theme Iâve been trying to portray with her as if youâve been in my head for a sneaky look, and itâs incredible. Youâre so insightful and thoughtful đ„°đ„°
Taking the time to rank your favourite Adeline moments? Well, youâve reduced me to happy tears once again. Seriously, Iâm just a mushy mess at this point. THANK YOUđ
Ahhh, Finan. Straight away Iâll apologise because youâre so right - Slow-Motion-Burn sums this up perfectlyđ I did wonder if readers would find the wait until the romance a drag, so Iâm relieved and happy (youâve made me happy rather a lot, so i apologise for being repetitive) you enjoyed the build up, and friendships with the rest of the Coccham family. I wanted to push Finan and Adeline towards each other in a way that felt natural, and have this gradual realisation from them both that, oh shit, this person means a lot to me. And the flirting? So much fun to write, so I can assure you that will continue forever, to the wedding and beyond (oh i promise, youâll have that wedding).Â
One final thing - please donât apologise for being a beautiful, kind soul who took the time to share their thoughts and bring a huge, huge amount of happiness to my day. As you can see, I write essays too, so weâre in this together!
Thank you so, so, so much đ„°đđ

THE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE; Mun & Muse - Meme.
fill out & repost â„ This meme definitely favors canons more, but I hope OCâs still can make it somehow work with their own lore, and lilâ fandom of friends & mutuals. Multi-Muses pick the muse you are the most invested in atm.
My muse is: Â canon / oc / au / canon-divergent / fandomless /
Is your character popular in the fandom? Â YES / NO / 50-50 (Thereâs a lot of love and a lot of hate, but I think many are actually pretty neutral on him too!)
Is your character considered hotâą in the fandom?  YES / NO / 50-50 (Iâd say he may be an... acquired taste? Of course a lot of people I know here find him sexie so itâs hard to say for certain, heh. We may just be the weirdos of the fandom :P )
Is your character considered strong in the fandom? Â YES / NO
Are they underrated? Â YES / NO (Not in terms of ability, but underrated for just how complex and multi-layered he is, Iâd say)
Were they relevant for the main story? Â YES / NO.
Were they relevant for the main character? Â YES / NO /
Are they widely known in their world? Â YES / NO.
Howâs their reputation? Â GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL (I honestly think heâs a man of many reputations, both in canon and in fandom :âD)
How strictly do you follow canon?  â Iâm very much a âuse the bones of what we got in canon and do my best to flesh them outâ kinda roleplayer. There are some things that can be taken too easily at face value that I see fit to build upon. For example, I think Jiraiyaâs feelings on the prophecy and his relationship with Konoha is something that could be too easily played off as simplistic, or like they were immovable constants. But thatâs unrealistic for a man of his years and many experiences, so I try to put myself in his emotional setting at various points in his life, and trace how his feelings and behaviours change, if that makes sense?Â
I try to avoid saying that any of the writing was straight up wrong because itâs disrespectful to the creator. But especially for Jiraiya, who had such a significant role to play in the narrative that it sometimes took precedence over his actual character, I do find some of his actions, and the way some interactions were handled in the canon to be a little OOC... so Iâll work with it and try to spin it in a way that I feel fits how he was characterised.
Basically, Iâd say that I follow canon, but I like to enrich it in areas that were lacking detail or a nuanced view that took in all the surrounding events of the time. After Jiraiyaâs canon death, of course, thatâs when more divergence comes in to my portrayal... otherwise I wouldnât be able to play any post-war scenarios! But the essence of his character is the same, which I try to keep as close to canon as possible.
SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  â A man of many experiences! You can bet that any topic that comes up, heâll have some sort of amusing anecdote to share, or be able simply to talk shit about it. He's seen so much, and has a sensitive soul enough that heâll give anyone a chance; heâs very open-minded and non-judgemental, and honestly is a humanitarian that wants to help those in need. Might leave your muse a little baffled as to how he could hold the status of âlegendâ, only to show it when they least expect it. You never quite know what youâre going to get with him: heâs generous and selfless, yet has many vices that seem selfish at times; heâs both a lover and a fearsome fighter; heâs immensely resilient at the same time as incredibly vulerable and damaged; heâs a himbo and a bit of a jock with the soul of a poet. Love him with no restraint and invite his love in return, and youâll get not only a lover, but a devotee. Wears his heart on his sleeve... or does he? Chip away at him and find out!
Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  â The pervy, flirty, jokey schtick could get grating, or come across as disingenuous. In romantic situations, heâll keep quiet about putting a label on whatever it is, and beneath his overall sweetness and devotion there may be an underlying reek of commitment issues and a fear of admitting he is afraid. He also has a habit of deflecting negativity in general, and playing things off as if they donât matter or theyâre a joke, making him actually rather a difficult person to get to know the heart of. One might feel as if theyâre getting nowhere with him...
... Either that, or they get the complete opposite. Yes, as equally as he can be guarded, he can overshare like crazy, and has a tendency to become codependent with those he gets attached to, which is inconsistent with his free-spirited nature, and how adept he is at keeping others at armâs length from his less sunny side. This inconsistency might make him seem unreliableâif the fact heâs always off who-knows-where doesnât do the trick already.
What inspired you to rp your muse?  â Iâve been a big fan of the Sannin ever since I first read the Deadlock, but being a very young person at the time I perhaps couldnât relate enough to people who had experienced so much to do them justice in my teenage fic-writing endeavours, so I remained on the sidelines enjoying content by other people (there may also have been a little bit of âwhat the fuck, why do I dig the old dude so muchâ denial in there haha). Iâve picked up and dropped my obsession with the series several times over the years, and my love for those three seemed to grow each time. They really are âthe lost generationâ, and as the sole survivorsâalongside having a huge impact on the plot, how the shinobi world is shaped, and the three main protagonistsâthereâs a lot of juicy material there, a lot of emotional background, along with decades of history that basically goes untapped in the canon.Â
Anyway, I digress. Coming to the Naruto RPC for the first time around this time 2 years ago at the age of 25, I made this blog and my Deidara one on a whim, but focused on the latter at first. Villains were always comfortable territory for me in my other RP experiences, and I think it made me doubt that I could possibly do someone who is frankly a lovely guy any justice, no matter how much I loved him. I even had the intention of making him fully Akatsuki/Missing-Nin AU at first. Yeah. Thatâs how stuck in my villain/anti-hero zone I was! But, I think in the end, the fact he actually isnât a two-dimensional typical âheroâ was something I chewed over and realised would be incredibly enriching to write, worth stepping out of my comfort zone for. And being a little more mature and less angst-ridden myself by that point, I found I could resonate with his feelings and ideals in a way that I know I couldnât have as a teen... but I was still tentative.Â
Anyway, after leaving his blog empty for a bit (with its placeholder URLÂ âfrogdaddyâ, which sadly got hoarded by someone else), I cosplayed the old bastard, along with my partner as Orochimaru. Weâd been stanning that particular ship and talking about how great the Sannin are in general for quite some time by that point, but being casually in character for fun while drunk off my tits at a boat party, was a bit of an epiphanic moment. Not long after that, I threw myself right into writing this chaotic-good old bastard with gusto, and here I still am :â)
What keeps your inspiration going?  â Taking breaks to recharge as and when I need to. Seriously. The death of all my other blogs has been pressure (mostly from myself) to be there and force myself to put out regular content, so I went into this not thinking that way and itâs really helped!Â
Of course, thereâs also the fact that there simply seems to be no shortage of areas I can delve into with this guy. Again, itâs his age and all the missing years in canon... but I think itâs also how much love he has and his genuine eagerness to engage with others that makes him one of the most naturally bountiful muses Iâve played. Because honestly? Most of my villain muses wanted people to just fuck off :âD this guy is open to everything.
That aside, I guess I just gel with him more than I ever expected to. Iâve changed a lot as a person and gained more confidence since various areas of my life got better, and I really just vibed with this chill, funny, romantic, pervy, big-hearted energy. I enjoy angst, but my real love is peppering the serious and heartbreaking with romance and comedyâand isnât that just befitting of him? Writing through his eyes also helps to keep my outlook positive, so that keeps me stuck on him as much as the seemingly limitless content potential.Â
And this is without even going into my cross-fandom AU ideas I have on the back-burner. Honestly, theyâre there but I want to put a real effort into them while keeping his essence the same, which for some, involves brushing up on my lore!
Some more personal questions for the mun.
Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.
Do you think you give your character justice? Â YES / NO.
Do you frequently write headcanons? YES / NO.
Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES / NO / RARELY. (depends on whether I get a flash of inspirationâwhich mostly comes with random asks that happen to stir up an idea for a scene, such as this one (NSFW warning))
Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day? Â YES / NO.
Are you confident in your portrayal? Â YES / NO.
Are you confident in your writing? Â YES / NO.
Are you a sensitive person? Â YES / 50-50 /NO. (I tend not to take things personally but am also very passionateâcall it my innate Leo-ness!)
Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?  â Hmmm. I havenât actually had any critique on my portrayal, so Iâm not sure haha! Iâd say if itâs constructive, then Iâll take it into account and consider it, especially if itâs a case where it helps me realise Iâve perhaps not gotten across what I intended to very well. But Iâm also quite fond of my portrayal in its essence, so I may end up just thanking the person for their opinion and carry on as usual :P
Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  â Absolutely! Iâve had some wonderful ones recently and itâs exactly the kick I need to get ideas out, some of which Iâve had on the back-burner but not had a framework within which to write it without it getting derailed. I definitely appreciate a question that will keep me at least a little on-topic, otherwise if I go off on my own volition I really tend to... well, go off! Even if a question is a similar topic to something Iâve already done, itâs a good exercise for me to go back to the similar headcanon and see if I can build further on it, deviate, and link it to show what past thoughts Iâve been working with. A great way of keeping some consistency in my portrayal while making improvements, I find! And then of course Iâve had some questions that are entirely new morsels for thought, and it leads me to something new and fresh, which I greatly appreciate.
Basically, any questions at all, fire away! I may take a while but I will get to them eventually!
If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  â Yeah. I mean I think itâs just polite to present a reason as to why not, instead of just being like âthis is wrong/a bad takeâ or whatever. Source material is down to personal interpretation, so if I draw different ideas from it to another person after discussion, then we can simply agree to disagree on it.Â
If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  â They are welcome to disagree with me I guess? So long as theyâre respectful and donât then treat me as if my interpretation is âAUâ or talk about âcanon Jiraiyaâ as if heâs obviously a different entity to my own, then disagree away. But if prompted enough, know that I will most likely defend my portrayal with what I consider to be justification from the source material :P I did pay close attention to it, after all, and I do consider my portrayal to align well with it.
If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  â Depends on the nature of it and the conduct, really? Like, people are allowed to dislike characters. I myself find a couple of characters pretty annoying or donât particularly care for them (granted, usually itâs in a love-to-hate or simply a âthis character doesnât interest meâ way), but that doesnât affect how I behave towards the RPer of a character. Itâs just manners, really. People tend to RP characters because they like them, so why would you take negativity right to their doorstep, in this space theyâve made as an expression of enjoyment for, and to develop said character?Â
Thereâs been some people who admitted to me that they didnât care much for Jiraiya, but then began to like him more with my portrayal and thatâs more than fine; I take it as the highest compliment in fact. Itâs also the kind of open-minded attitude I like to have with portrayals of characters I donât necessarily like or have much interest in, because by and large, people do tend to add more depth and nuance than the busy and character-packed canon allowed.
However, if itâs the type of hate thatâs got its own devoted circle of bitter bitches, who seem to use so much energy hating a character... then please, donât engage me. Doesnât matter who the character is, donât expect me to follow/keep following your negative ass if itâs constant on the dashâand if the target character is any of the Sannin then frankly Iâll have probably blocked/blacklisted in a heartbeat. The âcriticalâ views of them tend to diminish them as humans, diminish the context and events that surrounded their choices, and in a way that I find is a gross double standard compared to what people will allow other (read: young, attractive, fandom faves, âbabiesâ or âbeansâ) to get away with and excuse the behaviours of. I donât need that kinda negative energy sullying my hobby, nor do I need moral superiority that isnât applied consistently across the board.
Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  â Absolutely! I meticulously fret and check, and cringe when I get a reply and happen to spot errors while rereading what I wrote before it! I edit a lot but donât always pick up on errors, so Iâm more than happy to have it pointed out. Chances are, Iâll be far more brutal to myself about it than anyone else would be!
Do you think you are easy going as a mun?  â Overall, yeah. Iâm not possessive or clingy (I donât think) and donât expect the world from people, nor for them to focus on or favour me or be super fast. I just expect the same respect in return. Having said that, I will express it when I donât like something or it makes me uncomfortable, provided weâre familiar enough, because if weâre strangers Iâd feel like I was coming across as entitled to your energy and emotional labour. I do my best to be diplomatic about it though, and rest assured it doesnât mean Iâm forever mad at you or turned off in any way just because I have a small grievance. I just find that being honest with each other rather than letting things pile up and fester makes a friendship more solid, and basically more genuine and long-lasting.
Thatâs about it, congrats for filling out!

E, K, V?? đđđ
E: What character do you identify with most? Â Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?
In the GO fandom, I identify more with Aziraphale. Â His bit-of-a-bastard fussiness, his tendency to be set in his ways, and his penchant for hedonism all resonate pretty strongly with me haha. Â I think I got some of that snottiness in the chapter of Blank Cards and Infinite Stakes where he has to contend with The Them causing havoc in his bookshop, but our side has been such an extreme situation that I havenât been able to portray Aziraphale as he would normally be! Â Iâm looking forward to writing something a little lighter where I can showcase his more amusing qualities!
K: Â Do you have a guilty pleasures in fic (reading or writing)?
Writing: tropes! Â All the tropes, especially hurt/comfort, sickfic, sleepy stuff, and Big Damn Action scenes. Â
Reading:  well-written sex and romance!  I always feel like such a cheesy fuck writing scenes like that, so Iâm working on improving.  But good romance like, punches me in the throat.  Itâs so hard for me to find romance half so compelling in âreal booksâ as I do in fanfiction. Â
V: Are there certain comments youâve received on your stories that have stuck with you?
I love all sorts of comments, but the ones that really get me are the ones where readers really get into the charactersâ heads and delve into their motivations/psychology/struggles. Â Often times itâs stuff I never considered and itâs so insightful, or itâs something I really hoped someone would pick up. Â
Thank you! <33
