The answer is.... it really depends. I'm still mulling over his design (which is why he looks different every time), and your comment made me want to test out the deer ears more! He is in general based on the eastern variety of dragon with some alterations. The spikes are usually fur but it's often combined with jagged horns that resemble his eyebrows. However I implore you test out whatever works for you and see what works best with your unique style! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

i wouldn’t say anything that was voluntarily made public is “undeniable” bc as twitter and tiktok prove time and time again, you can deny anything even when it’s right in front of your face, but there are many signs that point to it

Its pretty easy actually buut ill explain the whole face process just in case:

The base of their face is a thick piece of felt cut into a circle (i bought a cheap place matt for 1€ and cut it up for that). I sew the face shape out of fabric, so a star or a circle in this case and insert the felt circle. Then i put in the soft filling but only on the front part of the face (could obviously be also on the back part but because i sew on a perss on button i like not having padding in the back).

And now you can sew in the exes (its imortant that they are not only sewn onto the front fabric but also to the felt plate in the back so they get pulled back and have some dept)

For the smile i just decide were the "dimples" go and do one stitch through the padding and felt plate, pulling the fabric inwards. If you want to deepen the effect then you can go in with a strongly pigmented pencil in a slightly darker or stronger color than the fabric and draw a slight line between the two "dimples"

Hope this is helpfull im kinda bad at explaining but i think it would be even more confusing if i tried to draw it for ya

Here's a tip to make your characters more real

Do not write perfect characters. Don't write someone that's just "nice" and "pretty" and "kind" because no human is perfect, that's just how it is. I'm not saying you shouldn't write nice people or pretty people but they need more depth. Everyone has a story.

Maybe you could give them some peculiar characteristics or minor flaws (just don't base your characters' whole personality around these things), or you could write about their past. Small idiosyncrasies that make us human.

For example, if I wanted to write this really nice girl that helps me in class I could say she has a weird sense of style or that she cracks unfunny jokes sometimes, or maybe she always arrives a bit early so she has bags under her eyes. Not only your character is more believable, but (at least for me) it's fun!

I like small details, as a very introverted person I tend to notice a lot of things, even insignificant ones that have me smiling sometimes :)

pricing per pack sometimes doesn’t start to show up online until after the release, because people/shops buy in cases and then either open them and sell the singles or sell sealed packs. unfortunately what that means is that the price may fluctuate online based on demand. if there’s high demand, they might be more expensive than they ought to be. tomorrow is the release day, so keep an eye on eBay for packs to pop up there, and call your local card shop to see if they will be selling sealed packs.

this is a much smaller release than something like upper deck series one for the nhl, so I don’t expect to see packs showing up in Walmarts or anything like that

HEY I’m someone who is quite new to Baldurs Gate and DND as a whole, and while I’ve taken a large liking to Gale, I’m pretty much… confused? About the lore with Mystra especially but also the stuff between her and Mystra.

I’ve read some of your stuff but also come across things like this https://www.tumblr.com/itsabardknocklife/737979044015095808/things-the-baldurs-gate-fandom-needs-to-know and wonder what your take is on it (ofc you dont need to answer if you feel theres issues with it) but honestly for some reason all these opinions are stressing me out and Im unsure how to feel about our boy LOL

Firstly, my whole thing with games or series or what-have-you that are based on TTRPGs is that you should meet the spirit of the thing you're engaging with! If seeking out additional lore rounds out your understanding or is simply fun for you, do it! but if that's not the case, it's not necessary. Baldur's Gate 3 has a very clear narrative that is framed by systemic oppression & personal abuse. They- like anyone should when having a fun time in Dungeons & Dragons- took lore and rules and interpreted them to best serve their story. This is something I've bumped heads with people on in the Cyberpunk 2077 fandom as well. Everything isn't a "plot hole." The point of a TTRPG is to be adapted and changed. So of course a full narrative adaptation is going to have differences.

Secondly, I don't think the DnD canon is as clear as many people would like to believe. I think what you linked is a sound and interesting rundown of some information of Mystra. That being said, within DnD, the lore itself is often recorded BY characters in DnD, so it is not 100% reliable. Sort of like Fire & Blood versus A Song of Ice and Fire. It's a text inside of a fictional world.

Since you did link that specifically, I will say that I am INCREDIBLY SUSPICIOUS of anyone who refuses to engage with the narrative reality of suffering, oppression, manipulation, grooming, and abuse that ANY of the characters experience, including Gale of Waterdeep. I also think it's either willfully dishonest or painfully ignorant to equate the actions of a mortal man who serves a deity with the actions of that deity. That is a WILD power imbalance and AGAIN... the game gives us so much context that even if for some reason a person misinterprets Gale seeking to cross Mystra's boundaries as some... I don't know, gendered violence, or whatever it is these people who I assume have Gone Girl brain rot try to turn that into... there are about seven gabillion other things in game that should correct that.

Gale is not perfect. Gale is not infallible. He is a walking defense mechanism, he is a narrative red herring from the beginning, he is very capable of becoming his worst self. But he also had an entire life stolen from him because of powerful structures and a literal deity deciding that his potential was there to be harnessed and controlled, however possible, through whatever means said deity chose.

BEST CASE SCENARIO, THE POPE WAITED FOR HIM TO BE LEGAL AND THEN BONED HIM.

TL;DR -

1 anything you can't use, any info that confuses you, any info OUTSIDE of the game Baldur's Gate 3 itself, is just trivia. And you know what trivia is? Useless unless you're at a party and even then probably no one at the party wants to play with you.

2 when someone gives you information and that information ends with a statement condemning an entire narrative it's important to question if that information is CONDENSED or if that information is cherry-picked
