ā€œheartstopper ass gay peopleā€ was meant to be a way to describe a relationship thatā€™s just too perfect and nice and good and healthy itā€™s just not realistic or particularly compelling, however. and it brings me no pleasure to report this. i fear i do know a real world real life example of these so called heartstopper ass gay people. so i work with this kid heā€™s like. easily a top five coworker and frankly if i was ranking the high school aged coworkers specifically he might win it but i digress i would never rank people i love all of them equally <3 (but heā€™s my favorite) anyway literally every time this boy tells me about his boyfriend i feel like those drawings of the stick figures covered in blood like just seething with jealousy and then i have to remind myself heā€™s 17 and iā€™m glad heā€™s happy. and iā€™m so fucking glad heā€™s happy. just fucking over the moon okay. anyway just letting everyone know the criticism of heartstopper being unrealistic is wrong and we might just be miserable fr

Rant ahead:
So, I just showed my mom the trailer for The Little Mermaid (2023). I started gushing and crying happy tears (just like I have every time watching it already). And she immediately had toĀ ā€˜point outā€™ that the animated version has been my favorite movie since I was 4 and that this one will be different. Um, yeah, thanks for the reminder about my own life, Mom. šŸ˜’ Never mind the fact I lived it or anything. šŸ™„ Not to mention pointing out the obvious? Seriously? Fucking hell. I truly hope this wasnā€™t veiled racism on her part. Itā€™s disturbing no matter what because God forbid I be happy orĀ ā€˜overly emotionalā€™ for even an instant when it comes to something that brings me joy. šŸ˜ šŸ˜ž To see a talented black girl like Halle Bailey not only portray a beloved Disney Princess like Ariel but kill it vocally, making Part of Your World her own brings me joy. It doesnā€™t take away from theĀ ā€˜89 version at all in my mind. It only enhances it. The idea that little kids I, as their teacher, work with on a daily basis will soon see and recognize themselves in Ariel like I did in Prince Eric once upon a time, it just... it makes me ridiculously happy. šŸ„° And itā€™s about fucking time, dammit. Iā€™m not going to cry angry, frustrated tears over this. Iā€™m pumped. End of story.

I, for one, hope that Obi-Wan gets to abuse Anakin one more time in his series. VADER: You don't get it. I had to join Palpatine, those kids were the necessary sacrifice, so I could save PadmƩ. I couldn't live without PadmƩ! KENOBI: Then why haven't you just killed yourself instead of everybody else, you idiot, that would have been better for the world!
Oh, yeahā€¦Sureā€¦Obi-Wan Kenobi is the guy who Anakin should look up to a role model and trustā€¦The guy who decided to use Padme, a pregnant woman as live bait to lure a very dangerous and emotionally/psychologically unstable Anakin Skywalker into a trap to kill him without her consent after finding out he went darkā€¦Obi-Wan Kenobi, who used the teaching style of ā€œDo as I say, not as I doā€ with little to no self-awareness.
Obi-Wan Kenobi who was generally more interested in being a perfect Jediā„¢ļø for the sake of fitting in with and getting ahead in the Order by kissing Yodaā€™s ass, no matter the cost to himself, his moral integrity, or his family and friends. Like, name one time in the series, not counting Disney Retcon Wars or the Disney EU when Obi-Wan aspired to be a hero out of a genuinely independent, idealistic, and selfless interest to save others because he truly cared about helping other people in the galaxy, regardless of Yodaā€™s and the Councilā€™s approval or disapproval? The only times I can somewhat think of that happening in primary canon is when he insisted on taking Anakin on as a padawan to honor Qui Gonn
Yeah, I get that itā€™s not all Obi-Wanā€™s his fault he grew up that way under a corrupt, close-minded, and hypocritical cult, but he also didnā€™t go out of his way to try to be much better.
While Obi-Wan did spend a lot of time asskissing the arrogant, close-minded, and hypocritical Yoda and Jedi Council, his closest relationships throughout most of his life were with people who were and/or people who started out as (Anakin, though he eventually got back there in the end for Luke at least in the end again) genuinely curious, empathetic, emotionally vulnerable, idealistic, independent, kindhearted, open-minded, and selfless people who were interested in being or becoming or being heroes for other people throughout the galaxy by following their personal instincts and intuition of right vs wrong, regardless of the disapproval and judgment of oppressive authority figures in their lives on the Council.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is the pillar of proper morality for Anakin Skywalker to look up to and trust after he deliberately cut off his limbs and left him to burn alive in agony, all while lecturing him about the canonically corrupt and misguided Jedi Order of the prequels that would have still collapsed in on itself because of its own arrogance, corruption, and hypocrisy without Darth Vader, Palpatine, and the Sith, anyway, rather putting him out of his misery with a quick execution when he had the chance because he wanted him to suffer for turning on the Order out of a vindictive desire for vengeanceā€¦.šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„
While Anakin is far from innocent and absolutely worthy of punishment for his crimes, the fact that you want to see him commit suicide, which btw, he has attempted in comics before, is very fucked up, nonny. No one should feel obligated to kill themselves ā€œto make the world a better place,ā€ not even someone as dark as Darth Vader. They should try to take the steps to improve their behaviors to the best of their abilities, which, Iā€™ll grant, Anakin wasnā€™t doing anymore after going off the rails in Revenge of the Sith, particularly not after being put into that suit, regardless of the compromised agency, poor emotional/mental stability, and limited healthy support. If he had been killed in self-defense by a victim of his, or in battle, and/or heā€™d been put on trial with a verdict that deemed him guilty of galactic tyranny with punishments of either death by quick execution, the electric chair, or lethal injection, and/or imprisonment with mental institutionalization for his crimes as punishment, then that wouldnā€™t be illegal.
The fact that you would have wanted to see Anakin suffer for his crimes by deliberately committing suicide ā€œto make the galaxy a better placeā€ is just very inhumane and sadistic, nonny. Also, to be honest, committing suicide to ā€œmake the galaxy betterā€ would also not really have brought any ultimate peace for the overall galaxy either.
Vader was Palpatineā€™s horrifying attack dog/killing machine, but ultimately, the systematic crime, corruption, and oppression throughout the galaxy wasnā€™t going to just suddenly stop without Vader there, anyway. He was a useful scare tactic, and an effective general of the stormtroopers, who mostly respected him because they were some of the only people left who he could relate to personally since they also had compromised agency their whole lives for as long as they could remember like he did, too.
However, the Empire could have and would have continued to go on with or without Vader as long as its many other the enablers, enforcers, and perpetrators were still actively committing crime and tyranny throughout the galaxy. Vader was a handy piece to publicly execute the will of Sidiousā€™s Galactic Empire as an attack dog/murder slave for him to use because he was both terrifyingly aggressive, cold, dangerous, domineering, and powerful against those he was commanded to or allowed to treat as enemies or use violence against to keep in line, get vengeance against in the heat of the moment, or take out for Sidious, while also absolutely way too emotionally/psychologically broken, helpless, and terrified to be anything but agreeable, meek, and subservient in regards to Sidious, Tarkin, or anyone else with positions of authority over him.
Yeah, technically he was still at least equal to Sidious in terms of his force power after being burned alive and put in that suit. Technically, Anakin was still more physically powerful than Tarkin, but Palpatine gave him a position of authority in the Empire over Vader. Palpatine had a position of authority over Anakin. Anakin has been groomed to be submissive to people with positions of authority over him his whole life, so itā€™s not just this simple thing for him to say no, to them anymore, and at that point, he had been so broken, embittered, self-loathing, and terrified from a lifetime of trauma (part of it was his own fault for committing those crimes he knew were wrong, but not all of it was) that he didnā€™t even care to try much anymore.
Vader was still not necessary to create the Empire or keep it alive. Brom Titus, Gallius Rex, Grand General Tarkin, the Imperial Army of stormtroopers, and so on would have carried out systematic crimes and abuse for Sidious.

Livestream Recap 03/20/2022.
Jeff is doing the livestream with Steven and Kyle.
Jeffā€™s biggest misconception is he appears short but heā€™s actually tall.
Steven has the same manager as Vinnie Hacker (his name is Nick).
Steven in Utah weighed 221 and now he weighs 203. Heā€™s on a weight loss journey.
Jeff feels light and weak and weighs 167.
People want Oscar to talk more but he edits himself out, lol.
Theyā€™re working on next weight loss series.
They did a Patreon vlog today and they know they are behind. They filmed his ā€œtherapyā€ session with Amen and hope to release it tomorrow.
Vinnieā€™s episode will probably be released in two weeks. Thereā€™s a line up with new guest and theyā€™re trying to line them up in a certain order. Theyā€™re going a little road trip and I guess filming barbershops. Theyā€™ll have Vinnie, some UFC fighter (not confirmed yet since heā€™s in training camp), and three more but they want to shoot and stacked up. They are encouraging Steven to fight the UFC guy but Steven doesnā€™t want to, lol.
Jeff talks about Catholic guilt. Jeff grew up Catholic and went to Catholic Church (he thought it was boring) and goes to church by his place and he said it was fun cause theyā€™re playing music and stuff. Jeff believes thereā€™s a god and things happen for a reason.
Sal just got the wires out of his mouth.
Jeff had a golden retriever/German mix named Ernie but ran away when they went to Disney World. Ernie jumped the fence when he was staying at grandparents house. They canceled the trip and didnā€™t get to go to Disney World to go home and find him. Steven and Kyle keep interrupting Jeff during this story šŸ™„. Three days go by and the whole neighborhood is looking for the dog and he comes back all skinny. Ernie once got hit by a car and when he died Jeffā€™s dad buried Ernie himself. Jeff loved Ernie.
Jeff would like to have Doja Cat on the podcast and says Doja is his type and would date her.
Jeff kicks Kyle and Steven outside for 5 minutes cause they say Fuck Ernie during Jeffā€™s story.
Someone tells him to stop hanging out with 20 year olds and he says theyā€™re his content boys and he hung out with Mike today but that isnā€™t any better, lol. The friends his age stabbed him in the back. He tells people (DefNoodles) not to clip that part out of context.
Oscar arrives and heā€™s closer to Jeffā€™s age.
Steven breaks Jeffā€™s stair (one step).
Jeff put the heat on for Nerf while they were out. Nerf gets the red bag that has English bulldog for his food.
They would post the roast on Patreon but they have to blur things out and that will take awhile. Bryce posted a clip of it. Oscar suggests doing a live where we watch it with them and then delete it.
They have a debate if thereā€™s more wheels or doors in the world.
Jeff has never hit any of his employees but has sparred with them. Mike one time hit Jonah.
Jeff shows his deodorant sample. Itā€™s unisex and Kyle says it smells like clean laundry. Jeff wishes they were in store so that we could see it and what not because itā€™s online but he says to trust him, lol.
Jeff wants to make sure that if he does have women on the weight loss series, he wants to make sure itā€™s respectful to women (in terms of what he calls the series). Says thanks to his mom for raising him to respect women.
Working on live shows and getting that going.
They did a burger review with Mike and impersonating him and Mike took offense to that. ā€œWe gaslit Mike.ā€
Someone asked about addiction and Jeff says that he is addicted to everything and this question would be better for Mike. He says that he goes into knowing the pain meds are just for surgery and thatā€™s it. Jeff doesnā€™t support selling opioids.
Theyā€™re planning an event in May in LA.
Jeff got COVID twice and itā€™s real.
Jeff doesnā€™t check his crypto. He goes on a rant about NFTs.
Jeff grew up with scumbags and backstabbers so heā€™s use to it and it is what it is. Oscar and Cody use to live in apartment together.
Jason tried to talk and Jeff didnā€™t want to talk cause he ā€œdidnā€™t want to get gaslitā€. He clarifies Jason was just there in Davidā€™s podcast (?) and probably didnā€™t want to gaslight Jeff and tried to make peace but ā€œsometimes peace canā€™t be madeā€.
Jeff learned to clean/mop the floor in jail (frog technique).
They wonā€™t do a podcast high and Oscar doesnā€™t smoke.
Jeff hasnā€™t seen the new Batman.
Jeff is doing great today, had a good day at the beach, had fun running on the beach and the boys got electric scooters.
They show Nerf. Jeff loves Nerf more than Ernie.
The whole livestream Kyle talks about Gurt ????????????.
Jeff doesnā€™t care if he bumps into David/VS at an event. Jeff also doesnā€™t really go out.
Jeffā€™s billboard is up for a couple more weeks.
Some person asks for a birthday gift and Jeff says to privately message him so his team can take care of it.
Talks about Paddy the Baddy and Molly the Meatball (fighters).

Note
-munger isn't funding a large portion of it, he's only giving 12% of the money needed but he still gets complete control over the designs
-I've seen several ppl in the notes mention CA wildfires. four years ago UCSB almost burned down completely with the Thomas fires, and a few weeks ago there was a ginormous fire 10 miles away (Alisal fire) that administration denied was an issue. so yes people would die
-haven't seen many people bring up the ucsb housing crisis this would supposedly resolve. they greatly overenrolled so hundreds of students this quarter had to either drop out or are living in their cars. they've put ~350 people up in local hotels but are evicting them in December (supposed to use the time to find housing, but there is none in the first place); everyone's already living four to a room, it's almost impossible this year for freshmen and sophomores to have a double let alone a single because there's so many people to so few housing. they've had this problem over and over historically (in the 70s, people mostly lived in singles till overadmission forced doubles, which is now the best someone can hope for)
-big part of UCSB's appeal is that it's literally on the ocean/beach with incredible weather and views (ocean and mountain). several current dorm rooms have ocean views. this doesn't even have windows
-the rooms are all singles and instead of windows they'll have artifical automated lights and painted portholes like the ones on disney cruise ships
-the building would house 3/4 of the current (but growing) undergrad population, and thus be a huge hotbed for sickness (especially great design during a pandemic šŸ™„). only two exits for 4500 people. would be the 8th densest neighborhood in the World. would of course go to students who can't afford other dorms/living areas. so a prison for poor people.
-seen people saying it's like a prison you have to pay for and just want to remind people that many prisons do make you pay, whether to stay in and stay out
if i remember correctly, there was also an issue with the number of exits in the building. at what point does the fire marshal get to step in and tell people to fuck off?
