2. he has a massive network of spies and agents that do his bidding across all of thedas and speak about him with reverence like a true god. one blesses a fellow fallen elf by saying “the dread wolf guide your soul to peace, brother”

3. solas’s dread wolf form looks like a combination of a pride demon, a wolf, and a dragon, “lupine in appearance but the size of a high dragon, with shaggy spiked hide and six burning eyes like a pride demon” and he can fly around the fade on “wings of fire” that disperse into an army of demons/spirits

4. he shows up in this form to terrorize a group of mortalitasi who were binding spirits for a ritual, and says “YOU MEDDLE PAST YOUR UNDERSTANDING, FOOLISH MORTAL MAGES, AND IN DOING SO, YOU THREATEN ALL CREATION. #one of the major ways that veilguard could disappoint me is by not delivering on the set up of him being terrifying #and insanely powerful #they did a good job conveying it in trespasser though so i have hope #the engine can for sure handle it too so they have no excuse #this also has interesting implications for the dread wolf form we see in the trailer #because it’s simply not as sick as what’s described here #it could be because he’s out of the fade #it could also be on purpose- he’s pretending to be less powerful perhaps to bait elgarnan in that fight #not showing his full hand for some reason… it would be in character #it could also not be him at all and could be rook as some people suspect #I just fucking hope it’s not something BORING like him getting nerfed again for some dumb reason #solas

ART RAMBLES: as i mentioned on the tags of my last drawing this piece gave me SUCH a headache #i think it's probably cos it was just supposed to be a quick sketch so i used a more stable pencil brush #but then i really liked it so i decided to properly colour it instead of just doing the watercolour thing i usually do for sketches #but with finished pieces i like the lineart to be kinda messy and the sketch to even show through bit #and since i used the more stable brush for the sketch it ended up looking WAY too clean. not like my stuff at all.#so i just started throwing stuff at the wall to see what could make it more interesting. full background! actual lineart! texture layers!#and this here is what i was the happiest with. i don't... love it though. it should be looking way more interesting given the pose #and then i also did the purge girl halfway through this and it looked SO good right out of the bat (pun intended)#so i went a bit into a spiral. did some realistic stuff i'll post soon. and now am trying out a thick black lineart style.#(i'll definitely still use the coloured lines for the sketchy watercolour stuff though. it just looks way too cute)

I love the "he asked for no pickles" meme with doorkeay bc I've only ever seen it with Gerry being the one talking and u just KNOW it's not bc Michael doesn't want to correct the food staff, but that it wants to correct them a little too much. Gerry has to step in otherwise they'll be there for at least another hour of Michael spinning some philosophical bullshit and scaring some poor fast food worker, and while Gerry doesn't necessarily mind Michael doing that in and of itself (he knows the thing he's in love with), as the only one of the two of them who actually needs material food he would like to eat that food before it gets cold tyvm.

#I like to think that the first time it happened Gerry did let Michael reorder and quickly learned his lesson as he spent the next 2 hours of #his life sitting in an incredibly uncomfortable and honestly kinda gross fast food booth while Michael would not stop fucking talking #yk the feeling as a kid when yr parents run into a friend and it feels like yr stuck there forever while they talk? same vibe #it's when they're both finally leaving (Gerry is still thinking abt how the cashier's hands shook and idly hoping they don't get swallowed #by a door anytime soon otherwise he'll have to find a new cheep fast food place to frequent while hunting and that'd be disappointing)#when he just freezes and is like WAIT MICHAEL WTF DO U EVEN TASTE FOOD THE SAME ANYMORE #(no it does not)#and Micheal gears up to go on a spiel abt Michael Shelly and glimpses of humanity seeping thru the cracks of the Spiral #but Gerry just sees this and throws their food bag and it and refuses to talk to or aknowledge it as he speed walks home #(when they get back they make out sloppy style regardless BUT it's the principle Gerry wasted so much data so he wasn't entirely bored out #of his mind and that shit is expensive Michael)#the magnus archives #gerard keay #michael distortion #doorkeay
