It's okay, though here some moments where Dream showing his authority or how the slave contract works

Since this contract involved with magic, Dream can sense Hope's location. of course after his magic got weaker, it became hard for him to sense Hope's whereabouts but he never stop.

It doesn't matter if Hope willing to die or not. Once Dream died, she is forced to follow him to his death. Her body will act out of her will and commit the unthinkable. Of course this could be avoided by breaking the contract or Dream let one of his children take Hope as their slave. (That what happened in bad ending)

She mentioned multiple times she don't take orders from anyone but only Dream.

A clearly sign of Dream ordering Hope. She can't even speak to resolve the fight between the children. Dream won't even let her run after Lux.

So yeah, the slave contract is pretty interesting, right? I bet no one ever think why Hope never decide to meet with Dream after he lost connection. It's because staying away from Dream is how she get her freedom.

Unfortunately, she got attached to Lux. It was intentional of Dream to trapped her into taking care of Lux so she won't try to question the freedom anymore.

Why would everyone hates her....- I doubt it was because she is Dream's favourite. Even Palette doesn't hate Lux for being Dream's precious daughter....- If Palette feels jealous, he wouldn't be so weak instead he still treat Lux nicely before dying- also why she call Cross a mom???
